Overall, I like this hotel The room is comfortable, the breakfast is nice, the location is convenient and most of the staff is friendly You have to take into consideration that this is a touristy area being near the beach, and there’s a lot of guys that stay here for various trade/skill type jobs

It’s also humid and hot All of this causes a lot of wear and tear on any hotel in the area (believe me I’ve tried them all and still came back to this one)However, there are a few things that could totally improve the stay DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DOORS SLAMMING! IT’S HORRIBLE AT 5AM, 6AM, 1AM I”ve been at hotels where the doors almost don’t close all the way they have things on them that will slow it down and lessens the chance of that happening Definitely try and get a room in the front of the hotel I’m on the backside which is where the afternoon sun is the worse, and people are celebrating a birthday down around the pool area I know this because I can hear every word With my TV and AC on They might as well be in my room or in the hall or right next door I would do anything to be on the front side of the hotel right now, and will be sure to choose my room next time!

I cant believe I paid $360 (with a group discount) for a 2 night stay at this hotel I definitely didn’t get the Hilton experience I paid for More like a Motel 8

The room had so many broken things that I was surprised anything at all worked The bathroom sliding door was broken and wouldn’t stay closed The fridge didn’t stay cold, the room stayed hot at night and our dead bolt would was loose and would lock us out of the room when no one was inside I ended up leaving and booking next door for the rest of the week

JESSICA MONTALVO

Clean- and I know because I went over all flat surfaces in room and batch room with a Clorox wipe and wipe was always visably clean!Breakfast was GREAT!!! Eating area was also spacious allowing social distancesCheck in was easy! Check out was easy!Smelled clean and welcoming when walking in

The windows were leaking some brown stuff There were different bugs and an infestation of ants The one good thing is for people who stay here a while it has a kitchennet including a working stove

Also we couldn’t close the bathroom door all the way because it would get stuck and you would be trapped We had to remove the door twice when my kids got stuck inside 😒

My wife and I were moving back to Corpus Christi and had to stay in a hotel until we closed on our new house We checked into this hotel thinking it would be the best choice because it was pet friendly and had a kitchenette I never check to see about their camera situation, but they don’t have any

Needless to say my new truck got stolen from their parking lot Found out that 4 days prior, another gentleman’s truck was broken intoAlso, while staying there a homeless person broke into the pool area and was using the facilities I personally feel that the hotel owner/management are 100% to blame for all of these issues because of the lack of cameras Knowing that they had issues like these you would think they would have done something, but they all seemed unbothered by this And I seriously doubt it will be resolved Too bad you can’t score less than 1 star

Guadalupe Torres

This place is best Hotel there is the have kitchen in each of there rooms so you don’t worry about lunch or dinner you can cook in your own room For breakfast they even serve Breakfast in the mornings the weekdays from 7 till 9:30 the weekends is from 7AM till 11 They have a pool as well

So come and enjoy your stay at the best place in town

Christina Kelly

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! If I could give this place ZERO stars I would My husbands truck was stolen from the parking lot of this hotel and there have been multiple break ins Apparently, even after multiple break in reports, the hotel still refused to put in cameras or hire a security guard to monitor the parking lot

Wish we would have known that before we stayed The staff was totally unprofessional and unhelpful The manager didn’t care at all Should have stayed at the Hyatt next door to this hotel At least they have cameras

We stayed at “On the half shell”Firstly, we arrived an hour after check in, we then had to wait an additional 30 minutes because house keeping showed up at the same time we did How can the room not be ready at a 4pm check-in when the checkout time is 10am? Then upon arrival back to our room, the door code that was given to us was not correct

So we waited another 20 minutes for someone to show up with a code and to get into our room The room we booked was listed as a pool view The reason we booked it was it came with an additional balcony Well our room had no balcony nor pool view Our room wasn’t the nicest but it wasn’t the worst It had busted tile and stained couch cushions(Pictures included) We tried to talk to management but they didn’t call back until 10 minutes before their office closed and then acted as if they couldn’t hear us and hung up They didn’t return calls afterwards The office staff on site is only an HOA board member and reports any issues to management but can’t do anything to fix issues We heard nothing back after stating issues with our room, only that she would make sure they would fix the website error about the pool view for that unit The pool, basketball/tennis court, and boardwalk to beach were nice, but we definitely won’t be staying here again Only reasons for two stars on service was because of the nice gentleman and prompt arrival to get us in our room

Sandra Humphreys

This location is on the beach which is not easy to get these days in Port Aransas The buildings are dated but individual units have been updated We stayed in unit 154 which is ground level and has an extremely limited view of the beach

The dunes cover 98% of the view We stayed in late April so it was extremely quiet If a beach view is important make sure to get a 2nd or 3rd floor unit

We had the best service!!! The front desk staff were Wonderful!!! They were Extremely helpful with anything we needed or required They also gave us great suggestions for breakfast places and helped us with directions to the locations! They got us into our room early when we first arrived, and even changed our room to a first floor room since my brother was having surgery to make it more convenient for him! First Rate Place!! I will be staying there AGAIN!!

My first stay at this Best western location Nice & Clean rooms, pretty peaceful and quiet All the staff acknowledged with greetings, The breakfast bar had a great selection of breakfast choices

Enjoyed a beverage at the Bar upstairs at nightThe view outside from inside the hotel was spectacular, love seeing the beach and boats in the corpus BayWould recommend to friends and family* Our room needed some fresh paint from recent repairs?

Designer Kat

Although this downtown hotel is older, it is clean and very well maintained The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous The furniture is new, and it appears to have been recently painted inside and out

The rooms are large with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and partial view of the bay This property has a nice pool and sky view bar The complimentary breakfast buffet has lots of options, including gluten-free, if that’s your thing It’s downtown, so there is some traffic sound at night However, restaurants are within walking distance The views from the bar and breakfast area are amazing! If I had to find something negative, it would be the toilet paper dispenser location It’s in an awkward place But I can live with that! 😉

Dulcie Sorenson

What a wonderful, friendly staff! The property was well maintained, though the elevators were a bit slow and clunky The free continental breakfast was delicious and was served in a top floor dining room with a beautiful view of the gulf and the downtown area The pool was clean and maintained and featured an outdoor, covered seating area wonderful for enjoying lunch

Though we were right downtown, it was very quiet in our room, which also had a lovely view of the gulfin fact, it appeared that ALL the rooms had a view of the water The fact that there was a sub/smoothie shop right on the property was also very convenientWe will be staying here again the next time we come to Corpus

Our stay was excellent because of the exceptional customer service the front desk young lady Monica displayed She is friendly, sweet and extremely professional She went beyond what is required to assure that our stay would be memorable

After driving most of the day, we were exhausted We had no reservations She informed us of what was available We agreed and was registered fairly quickly and up in our room in no time She informed us of our rewards and all of the services that were available Kiddos to you Monica !Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness!

Sara Bowman

Filthy pool and careless/unprofessional maintenance staffThe one positive part of this experience is that Monica at the check in was super friendly and helpful, she greeted us with a smile and wonderful vibe! We originally booked our trip for 2 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn but had to cut our visit short due to dirty, musty smell of the room and the lobby I’m addition to the musty smell upon entry the lobby was VERY warm, once we checked in and got our key to the room the elevator was grungy looking and hot also

Upon exiting the elevator to our third floor room the doors opened and we were astounded by how HOT the hallway was Not just warm like the lobby but probably about 100 degrees actual temperature We continued down the hall to our room and opened the door to find that our room was cool but still had a slight musty smell but still tolerable We slept fine, woke up and went on about our day, went to the beach and came back to the hotel around 3:30pm Thursday afternoon and went to go take a swim in the pool when we immediately were disgusted by the absolute negligence of the pool It was FILTHY! I’m talking murky water, moldy rings around the edges, we could not even see the bottom of the pool, and there was an obvious layer of scum on the surface That was our final straw for this trip We will NOT be returning to the Hilton Garden Inn in Corpus ever again mostly because when we approached the “housekeeping supervisor” about it she brought the maintenance person out and he made excuses as to why the hotel had not provided any pool training for him and stated that he had “just cleaned the pool this morning”, which was blatantly untrue but the looks of the scum on the pool Needless to say we will not be returning and had to leave early and find a new hotel to continue our trip

Tenishea Turner

Great location and staff Room are a good size Beds are very comfortable

We were on the first floor and I could hear kids running on the floor above us The walls are a bit thin, I could hear surround sound snoring from the rooms on either side of usHotel has great staff, a bar with happy hour specials and a restaurant Great location near movie theater and several restaurants

I have stayed here many times over the years This is one of the older Embassy suites properties but it is well-maintained and our rooms have always been clean and comfortable The breakfast here is outstanding as they will make you an omelette to order

All of the staff that I have encountered have been very friendly and helpful The bartender for the evening reception is delightful I highly recommend this hotel for families who want to have access to a great meal to start the day without having to leave the hotel Any hotel you visit may have some issues that need to be addressed, but the people here really make the difference This is a family friendly property and we have always felt completely safe here

Leigh Bedford

I really liked it here Despite being on a very busy street, the room was quiet, a real blessing for a tired traveller Breakfast was very good, and they had a clever idea of putting up TV screens in different areas with different programming

So, families could sit where the kids could watch cartoons and business guests could sit and watch the news And the breakfast staff were super quick to clear your table of dirty dishes, so you could go back and get a fresh plate of tasty treats My suite was clean with plenty of towels, soap and shampoo If you need more there is a convenience shop right next to the check in desk Staff were super friendly and helpful The bed was comfortable and they provide a blanket if you are cold And know the air conditioner is EXTREMELY efficient, so bring a sweater Housekeeping is about every five days, unless you request a more frequent service I only stayed for three nights, and I had plenty of everything I needed, so I never used housekeeping Definitely staying here again

Roxanne P

Was surprised to find this is a very nice hotel Front desk staff were pleasant and cordial Room was nice, clean & comfortable

Happy hour with snacks is a plus and great breakfast They also have chefs to make food if someone chooses to eat in The only negative is the quilts on beds are hot, butthose quilts seem popular among hotels But no other complaints In fact, we canceled our Best Western rewards membership and prefer Enbassy Suites for future overnight travel This particular hotel and location in Corpus Christi is awesome!

Just spent my birthday weekend at this really wonderful hotel It was nice and quiet The room was large we had a two queen bed one bedroom suite

There was more than enough space for the three adults and two children we had with us The breakfast they offered in the morning was very filling and there was several options from eggs bacon sausage pancakes toast Etc The pool felt great it wasn’t too cold it wasn’t warm pool water The spa in the pool was also really nice the water was nice and hot And it worked, which is a plus The AC in the room worked perfectly and kept our room super chilly at night which I love This was probably one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in 15 years Also the front desk receptionist was very friendly for our entire stay all the housekeeping Personnel were very nice Every employee we ran into was very polite and professional I can’t say enough good things about this place the next time I come to Corpus I plan to stay here again

Raul Gutierrez

Rooms are nice but the building needs maintenance Difficult to see out our window Breakfast was really lacking compared to other locations

I picked this because of the reviews on breakfast Chairs in main lobby are peeling and need fixing Pool was nice They had issues with card machine the night I went Had to drive to an ATM to pay my stay in cash It wasn’t bad, but not great

Josie Gaitan

No room service, even after we requested it Very disappointed This place has always been great but the last few times have less than great and they have increased their prices also

So I hope that they start making improvements and better service Check in staff has always been great The place has security, which why I sleep well here We will visit again Hoping this was a one time thing

Very happy with the experience at Executive Residency by Best Western, the hotel was clean and has a lot of hand sanitizing stations The breakfast was great, one of the best I’ve had, comes with waffles, eggs, potatoes and a lot of other goodies The rooms were spacious and nice, we stayed in a suite and it had a nice view

No complaints

Dania McGuire

The hotel is new so thing around still new The room is good, smell good and look clean But the shower so terrible, so messy and dirty

The door of the room doesn’t have safety block like the other hotel have Well, I don’t think I will be back, while checking out, I ask for receipt, the front desk told me have to contact w the one I booked through to get the receipt??? Really? I travel often and stay w different hotels and of course I always booked through hotelscom or bookingcom and always get the receipt I didn’t feel safe when I stayed here Won’t recommend and won’t be back

Michael Evans

Nice modern hotel where they quote one price and charge a different price x2 They half way clean rooms claiming personal belongings where in the way and that is true because they moved my personnel belongings so they wouldn’t have to clean We asked for cleaning supplies to clean the shower and was informed they don’t have any available or had no access

If your looking for a place to stay overnite it would be fine Plan on eating breakfast somewhere else I wouldn’t leave your belongings in the room for someone on the staff likes to go thru other peoples things

It’s fabulously wonderful, having a relaxing and reminiscing tripping down memory lane on the Island, from back before Hurricane Harvey Aug 2017 Soooo appreciative to all the men women and children who have pulled this Island back together!!, as it was in ruins and sososo upsetting to see for All intensive reasons and all of the local community that lost so much! Good job by all and God Bless you all

Thank you Thank you Thank you!💕💕💕🙏✝️☮️

Wow! What a little gem We booked this condo sight unseen and both my husband and children were very happy The only reason for the 4 stars is that the WIFI and plumbing in the bathroom of our unit weren’t the best

This spot is literally walking distance or a golf cart ride away from all the island amenities–including the beach! There is a nice track across the street The view from the balcony is beautiful at any point during the dayThe pool and grill area are functional We cooked outside, and on our stove There was a full size coffee pot, 4 slice toaster, pots, pans, utensils–you name it it was already there for us to enjoy! The pool has nice evening lighting We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location to others There are two bars right next door and multiple restaurants on the same block, but there was never excessive noise If you are considering staying here, you won’t regret it You can park your vehicle and walk everywhere the whole time your there!

ALR

Was a great place for the weekend The pool and outdoor cabana area was extremely clean and well kept The condo itself was very cute and the bed was comfortable

The provided plenty of towels and the kitchen was stocked with everything one might need Was also pet friendly which is a huge plus The front office also rents out golf carts that can be delivered to the condo which is a nice amenity It’s just a short minute drive to the beach as well and is a few feet from multiple restaurants and bars Place was very quiet and never heard the neighbors The porch facing the pool and beach was gorgeous Had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

Just left and was very impressed! The entire place is very clean, the staff were all very nice, and the location was easy to find The elevator was a little tricky because you gotta swipe the card to access the floors, but I appreciate the safety What I liked the most is how everyone greeted us in the morning

They all had a smile and looked genuinely happy to be there One lady even noticed the birthday cake and wished my son a happy birthday Her attention to detail was impressive I would definitely recommend this place to stay

Lauren Dyer

We had a great stay here Location is perfect, close to the water, the aquarium, and plenty of places to walk around downtown Staff was extremely nice and seemingly went out of their way to assist with anything

Good spot for families and kids overall, clean rooms, and good experience Only thing I’d comment on are the incredibly uncomfortable couches in the suites – the cushions slide right off when you sit on them, and if you sit for more than 10 minutes your back is aching 🙂

MrSentencer

The Residence Inn is a good hotel, but there were some issues that prevented it from being a wonderful experience Highly recommend you don’t consider the pull-out beds as an actual bed; the floor is more comfortable Also, the furniture is SUPER cheap and uncomfortable to use, and the smoke detectors had a bright blinking light that kept us awake (multiple guests have complained, per the staff, but no fixes have been implemented)

Breakfast options were great, and the hotel/rooms/common areas were very clean

Great location and pool Nice that breakfast is included, but know it’s average There was a stain on the sheets, room was maybe lightly cleaned before we arrived

Wasn’t sure any of the linens were replaced Bring your own pillow if you stay here They provided two per person, but they’re as flat as a pancake Another thing that was bothersome: The motel says it’s smoke free, but people staying there would be smoking right outside the rooms, so still smelled like smoke We stayed two nights and housekeeping never came into our room to give us new towels/replace toilet paper Upset to spend $400 for two nights and have no turn around service We did go the Saturday and Sunday of Sandfest, so I understand increasing the price, but definitely wouldn’t stay here again You live, you learn

Great place to stay in Port A Close to everything, nice, pretty new, and very clean More amenities in the room than I was expecting for the price

This will be my go-to hotel the next time I visit Would totally recommend So about the clean: Things can look clean and aren’t of course, so I ALWAYS do a thorough wipe down of all surfaces, remote, switches etc, with Clorox wipes every hotel room I stay in Usually, I am pretty disgusted by what the wipe looks like when I’m done, but not here I was amazed at how not dirty they were If you don’t normally do this, after you do it a time or 2 somewhere and see what you’ve wiped up, you will always do it But I was very pleased by how clean my room actually was when I arrived The hot breakfast was typical, but extensive Waffle maker, little pre-made omelets, sausage, hashbrowns and of course a variety of muffins, bagels, etc Everything was fresh and hot when I arrived

Great roomClean Great, hot breakfast! No fresh fruit, but everything else

Nice outdoor, covered seating areas with grills Nice pool with cabana-like seating areasVery convenient walk to CVS, beach stores, decorative beach buggies across the street I spotted roseated spoonbills in the marsh area next door, with other wading birdsFUN!

We stayed at this hotel for one week and had a very good experience I think they were overbooked for the regular king room so they gave us a suite and that was great While the place could use a few upgrades, such as carpet cleaning (which was in progress) and new mattresses (our mattress was a bit saggy), overall the place was well-kept and clean

Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Lisa and Mary, who do an excellent job of maintaining the breakfast buffet, even getting people what they need up to the last minute it is open They will help you if you can’t find something I also saw them help other guests with the waffle iron and other items if they weren’t sure how to use them Food is hot and fresh and there is a good variety I honestly have not seen two people work so diligently on a complimentary breakfast buffetRose takes good care of linens and also there was a young woman (didn’t catch her name but I think she had short hair dyed pink?) cleaning rooms who was especially helpful when we needed extra towels We had everything we needed and it was clean and fresh The pool is also well-kept and clean and it was nice to swim in a saltwater pool instead of one with so much chlorine as at most other places we’ve been We’ll be back if we are able to visit Corpus Christi again next year

My son was in an accident and hospitalized at a nearby hospital My original plan was for 2 nights, I was surprised to not have a mini fridge but no big deal since my stay wouldn’t be long When I suddenly had to extend the trip, I requested a fridge and housekeeping services

After a long day at the hospital, we arrived to our room with no fridge and messy room I relayed this to the front desk and the woman apologized and said she had my room on the list for the following day The next morning during breakfast, the general manager apologized and so did the housekeeping staff I was very impressed by their concern The same day, they made things right I had to extend my visit twice and the hotel staff was accommodating I also appreciated the delicious complimentary breakfast, Mary and her teammate were outstanding in making sure food and coffee was well stocked I hope to return to Corpus Christi under better circumstances and will definitely be staying here again!

Definitely a budget style motel The rooms were OK but the doors are hard to use They were hard to shut and hard to open

Front desk service was good They do have a pool at the location but it’s kind of small however they also have barbecue pits available for use in the pool area They do have breakfast available but it’s only waffles and cereal with some oatmeal and fruits I did like the location of the place because it’s kind of away from everything else but not far away Helpful when it’s really busy during the summer months and holiday weekends Makes it easier to get back to hotel It’s also literally located next to a domino’s pizza

I have stayed here for several years every time I’m in the area Rooms are always clean, secure, and perfect for what I need (a place to sleep) Breakfast is decent, and check in/check out are quick and easy

I’ve reserved ahead of time and same day with ease I’ve only ever had an issue once (noisy neighbors past 2am) and it was taken care of quickly when I called the front desk

Ralph Pinkston

Booked three rooms for our stay Upon inspection of the rooms they all smelt moldy, the bedding was damp all three rooms towels were dingy and far from white, none were folded like in the hotel pictures One of the rooms had crumbled pop tarts in the window and brown mystery spots all over the bedding! After showing pictures to the front desk they graciously gave me a different room however, while the room appeared clean the floor was dirty, there was zero light in the bathroom and the tub did not drain after a shower it took 30 min for the water to go down

Moving to the exterior, trash was everywhere! Every trash can was full and trash was pilled in heaps around the trash cans Lights around the property were broken and some flashed on and off like a horror movieAs for the beds, they were actually really nice however, while one of the beds linens were white the second bed was noticeably two shades off Also I was shocked at how many dogs were on property, many off leash! Needless to say we were glad that we had packed ear plugs as the dogs would bark at any noise or individuals that passed byStay away! Spend the extra $20-$30 and stay somewhere nice

What I don’t like about it is that there’s no daily cleaning, the breakfast isn’t great, and it’s kind of hard to get in and out of the hotel Also, in our room, the bathroom floor was cracked and the toilet looked like it was going to fall in What I do like about it is the rooms and beds are clean when you come in the first night and the staff is really friendly and talkative

The person at the front told us some good restaurants and places to go to which was really helpful

Amy Driskell

We arrived early and our rooms were not ready She was very clear check in is at 4Understood

While trying to figure out what to do, another person came in and she told him to not give her attitudeWe come back a little after 4 and one of our rooms still not ready Finally get into both rooms and the adjoining door, there is so much trash thereI paid $500 for two rooms and was not satisfied in the least with the stay I expected better

The staff was very pleasant at check in/checkout The side facing the beach had a nice view I enjoyed that the beach, some good restaurants and attractions were at walking distance from hotel

I feel like it could use a little remodeling or updating for the price (lighting, flooring, etc) Carpet gets packed with sand after the beach I would consider staying if some things got fixed,

Scott Dunn

Stayed here 1 night to break up the drive to South Padre, and the location is definitely nice Great to have discounted tickets for the Lexington and the Aquarium available at the front desk, and you can easily walk to both The beach is a 1 min walk, and the views on the bay side are pretty good

Covered parking is nice as well Only losing 1 star for a few reasons It’s called a Resort but it’s really more of your average motel The outside definitely needs a little TLC, but the rooms were revamped well The outlets in our room at least were a little off My wife had a plug on her side of the bed, but I did not, nor is there bedside lamps The last minor complaint is there was no pool Every Hotel/Motel around us had pools, but not the De Ville “Resort” My wife doesn’t go past her ankles in the gulf, so no swimming for us Also a little pricey considering no pool or elevator Other than those minor problems, couldn’t ask for a whole lot more, clean room, friendly staff, a nice shower, and great location

Collins Idoro

Stayed at the De ville for 2 nights (July 2-4, 2022) The Manager and receptionists were hospitable and cool My room was clean and spacious

The bathroom shower pressure is the best I love the fact that I can walk to the beach, the Lexington, and the aquarium without breaking a sweat I’ll definitely be patronizing this property for future stays in Corpus
