Place is an older building The ladies at the front desk greeted us and were polite The hotel is pet friendly

The room where we stayed the bathroom needs some work done the sliding door kept coming off when we closed it or opened it The shower head had very low pressure The pool was not very clean Not a good place to stay if you have small children because they will want to get in the pool

We wanted to stay close to family for the Easter holiday, so we chose the Hampton Inn in Burleson We have had great experiences at other Hampton Inns in Austin and Miami, but this one not so much So, first the good things

The beds were very comfortable, and the front desk staff were friendly, greeting us when we walked by The breakfast was what you would expect, nothing special, but enough choices to find something you could eat Now for the not so good The chair by the desk had a nasty looking stain on the seat, but our bathroom was the real hot mess The spigot in the tub would slide in and out of the wall, it didn’t seem to be attached behind the tile The metal disk that goes up against the tile wall for the shower spigot was hanging loose with caulk showing on it Every surface of the tub and sink area were covered with massive amounts of caulk Our room, which could conceivably sleep 4, only had 2 wash rags available for a two-night stay Fortunately, we were able to get an additional wash rag from the housekeeper, who was very nice But the very worst part, is when I stood barefoot in front of the sink and lifted my foot up, a 4-inch piece of grout stuck to the bottom of my foot Almost all the grout was crumbled and posed a hazard to your feet if you did not have shoes on Who ever did their tile work did not know what they were doing or just cut corners The bathroom really needed some attention

Ebony Robinson (Mrs. Robi)

Nice size and clean rooms, but our air conditioner knobs were broken It is a great location but front desk staff could use some more customer service training The staff was dismissive, didn’t allow upgrades even though they were available and my membership tier called for it

I’m uncertain if she just wasn’t sure how to do it without charging me more or simply didn’t want to She was a bit short and abrasive, perhaps having a bad day Nonetheless, I was disappointed as this was a first and not the norm for the Hilton brand Not sure we will return

The nicest hotel we’ve stayed at yet! Honestly, I was expecting mediocre at best So long as our room was clean & no bugs

I would have been happy NO!! THIS PLACE WAS GORGEOUS! COMFY! CLEAN!! And had great customer service!! The bed were so comfy that we didn’t want to wake up We checked in around midnight so we came in & hit the sack But everything was clean to the point you smelled the clean That made it even more comfy The room we stayed was huge! It had a lot of home comforts we didn’t need but was nice to have The small things some hotels over look, they didn’t here! The shower head was clean & clear of build up, the corners & crevasses in the entire room was clean with no dust bunnies, bugs, or cob webs The hotel gives the vibes of a fancy expensive hotel, customer service & all, with the pricing of a budget hotelThis place is marked as a favorite & we will stay again if we are in this area!!!

Charlie

Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful The room had a large jacuzzi tub and was beyond expectations, the breakfast was varied and of quality and the pool was open and had a very large jacuzzi as well Overall one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time

Total worth the price We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Darwin Parker

I reserved this hotel for my family for a short, overnight stay so that we could go do a fun activity in the Dallas/Fort Worth area We arrived around 7 PM and were welcomed nicely The hotel was clean and well cared for

We had a 2 bed and pull out sofa room, which was great for my family of 6 and our little dog The room was a plain old Best Western room, nothing fancyI did have to go ask for more toilet paper because house keeping didn’t leave any extra and the roll that was out was basically goneThe breakfast was very disappointing We were to breakfast by about 7:45 and there was a single banana, 4 small oranges, buiscits, sausage, eggs, bagels, cereal etc While I was eating, the biscuits and sausage were restocked to HEAPING, but never any new fruit My wife ended up not eating because she couldn’t find anything she wantedBreakfast at the hotel is a big deal for me and my family

While handy to Dickies Arena and Will Rogers Coliseum, as well as the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, we don’t plan to stay here again Reasons:1 The rooms are exceedingly noisy

The refrigerator made a grinding noise when running and the AC unit made a sort of grinding noise before blowing cold air As it was very hot in Fort Worth, we heard these day and night, disturbing sleep2 Insulation or sound deadening in both interior and exterior walls was very poor We heard every footfall and conversation of those passing by in the hall In addition, a noisy freight train passing frequently in the night at a distance of a couple of blockswas clearly audible every time it rolled throughOn the plus side, everything seemed quite cleanHowever, at nearly $400/night cleanliness seems to be minimal expectation

Daryl Brown

Recently remodeled Nice staff TVs in rooms NEED to be on swivel mounts because they are in the corner of the room now

There is no longer a sport court so don’t go buy a basketball & pickle ball set for your family to play together because it’s patio seating and a bbq grill now Hotel is right next to Duck pond, Trinity River, green belt, and Dream Park Tons to walk/ride to around the area There is construction on West 7th so traffic can get congested

Jonathan Matthis (Doc Holliday)

This is a great historic hotel in the heart of cowtown, excuse me, downtown Fort Worth The building isn’t overly huge, it’s in a great location, I mean Pete’s dueling piano bar is legit right around the corner (go there after 7pm for good drinks and sing loud damnit!) Had a minor issue with the toilet in the room which was fixed promptly when reported

Jason Vandiver

Wife and I checked in Thursday 3/24 Room was amazing complete with a soaker tub—a rare treat for the both of us However the remote control for the television was missing and the last guest’s k-cup was still in the coffee maker which we cleaned prior to use in addition to there not being any coffee or cups in the room

We called front desk who corrected the coffee situation but claimed that the ‘hotel engineer’ who works for them and the Hilton downtown would have to replace the remote Sadly, no remote came I know this is a small thing but when one pays $300+ for a room the coffee maker should be clean and the television should be usable Normally when one checks out the first question is ‘how was your stay?’ No such question was asked which would have been a Segway to explain what happened And when we did explain it wasn’t taken seriously Would not recommend as this place doesn’t know what the definition of service is; sticking with Marriotts moving forward which are cleaner and you have a remote for the television!

Gouvana I.

Loved our stay there!! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and rich in history Front desk and valet were so welcoming and friendly The bed was so comfortable and we definitely felt rested the next day

Not to mention, the location was amazing! Very close to Sundance Square and all the fine dinning We really enjoyed our stay!I would highly recommend! Be back soon!

April 2022-Great value and great comfort! Working A/C with cold air, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds and clean roomTowel service-we had to bring our dirty towels to the front desk when requesting new clean towels I didn’t mind, as they were short housekeeping staff

I will pack a couple of my own towels next stay because once, the front desk said they were out of towels and we had to use hand towels Plan ahead, exchange for clean towels ahead of time, don’t wait until the last minute, is my adviceDownside-the sofa bed was broke, so we put the sofa mattress on the floor Very thin mattress and very uncomfortable Next time we will bring an egg crate to help with the comfortOur last evening, dogs were staying in the hotel and the front lobby, elevator and hallway from lobby to the elevator smelled very bad The dogs needed to be bathed and I’m sure the very hot temperatures outside, didn’t helpThe odor was so strong we could not use the elevatorI would Stay again and will plan ahead, bring bedding items to help make the sofa mattress more comfortable

Shaquinta Jenay

The elevator and hallway smells horrible I pulled out the sofa bed and there was all kind of trash under the couch and the mattress on it was filthy so me and both kids slept in the king I woke up at 6am to use the restroom and saw a huge roach in the bathroom

We checked out immediately after There was no way I’d be able to go back to sleep knowing there was a roach in my room As we were leaving we saw another roach on the wall in the hallway Disgusting

Cathy McNulty

I SO wish I could give the place a FULL 5-star rating, but the beds

oh my! If you like a firm mattress, this is the perfect place for you Personally, I can’t sleep on a firm mattress due to spine issuesHowever, the property is well lit, felt safe arriving late in the evening, CLEAN and beautifully updated furnishings, free breakfast and wi-fi, pet friendly (for a refundable deposit and extra fee per night), and great staff! The rates were excellent at the time we stopped overnight on a road trip They have a king suite with a whirlpool tub for 2, but not sure how many rooms are configured in this manner There’s a great mix of rooms to fit nearly everyone’s needsConvenient location that allows you to bypass the busy downtown traffic, if just passing through Just keep in mind the mattresses The bedding was excellent and room was clean But, it was a rough, toss & turn night for myself

We stayed in the Land of Contrast suite The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was to die for! We loved the vintage tube and spaciousness of the bathroom It was wonderful to sit outside in the evening and drink wine and wake up the next morning to breakfast outside as well

Beware if you plan on having a wedding here or are thinking of it I planned on having a semi small wedding here, after viewing the property Note: my sister in law had to bring her 2 children, as well as myself with my 2 little boys when we viewed the property

Fast forward to paying the deposit, my sister in law was on the phone with the lady who was in charge of the property and oversees the weddings, and she stated that no children were allowed on the property during my wedding I ended up calling her myself because I was puzzled as to why this is being said NOW after telling her my children as well as a few other children would be attending or participating in the wedding (as my ring bearer and flower girls) and nothing was said then about “no children allowed” She preceded to tell me they do not allow “certain age children” on the property due to their guests and noise complaints When I asked why do you host weddings and receptions then? Weddings can be just as loud, with music and socializingbut she then tells me that I should just rent out the entire bed and breakfast, every single room, then it might be okayshe even passive aggressively made a mention about our particular children and their agesneedless to say, I was fuming, not only did she completely waste my time, ruin my choice of a venue, having to cancel my invitations that were already made, simply because she for one, obviously doesn’t like children, and 2 she failed to disclose this “very important” detail to us in the BEGINNING WHEN WE 1ST SAW THE VENUE Through the biggest wrench in my entire wedding planning, and all because I was to have a few children attending the wedding with their family So unless you state that you are having an “Adult ONLY” wedding, do not waste your time with this place Overall poor communication, and simply rude concerning our children I do not reccomend

Wow! Blown away Got in at like 2am without a reservation and they gave me a beautiful 1st floor room next to the breakfast area which was great because I had a lot of luggage The staff was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating every moment

The kitchen and room was perfectly clean and every way, the bathroom is very modern The entire hotel looks brand new, you could lick the floor Looks like mostly young professional college age people as well as college parents Everyone was courteously quiet in the lobby areas at night, I heard noises coming from other rooms, no sound came through the walls The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, and there were but appear to be brand new linens

Richard Hudson

I am going to come back and update this post because I have so many people here I would like to credit for being so amazingOur family house was flooded (plumbing leak) and unlivable while being fixed I travel a lot and Marriott is always the best choice so I brought my family of 4 to stay (Me, Wife, 4YO, 10YO)

Statying with young children in school is stressful enough but especially if you are uprooted and have to stay in a different place We are now on week 44 weeks in a hotel gives you an uparralled insight into an organization A 2 night stay might not give you the whole picture but 30+ nights? We have seen every shift, night/day/weekend/etc and feel we have a unique insight on how well the people here take care of their customers and the facilityThe entire staff of this hotel has been so amazing to my entire family From the room staff, the desk staff, and the kitchen staff, everyone got to know our names and make a point to stop and say hi when anyone in my family comes through the door It has truly felt like a home away from homeFront Desk Friends – Helps and Fixes EVERYTHING! Thank you!Room Cleaning Friends – They take care to ensure the smallest details are taken care of even though we’ve been there for weeks They don’t forget a thingBreakfast Friend – Boy, it is hard to run a breakfast kitchen for a hotel Messes are left, everyone has different demands, and you have 3 hours to pull it all off She has been so amazing helping me get breakfast for our family of 4 each morning, making sure that my kids have a great breakfast before I take them to school She is as bubbly and happy in the morning as I am and I LOVE IT! Thanks for making the start of our day so wonderful day after dayI still have a week left and will update with names, I just wanted to let everyone know how hard everyone here works to make your stay the best

Everything was great Our room was nice and clean We didn’t get an attitude when we asked for extra pillows and towels

We had a microwave, everytbing we needed for coffee and the had water in our room The bed was very comfortable to sleep in Parking was nice to conveniently located near our room I came for an event and the hotel was located in a decent area, possibly 20 minutes from the hotel

Laverne Solis

We had a great stay, it was clean & staff was great My only combos in the morning for breakfast you should have a better system for cooking the waffles & omlets Having only one person at each station making one at a time during spring break was a poor choice

We ended up leaving to get breakfast somewhere else as the lines were long & we didn’t move much after waiting for 10 mins We had a tournament to get to and we’re hoping to eat at the hotel prior This didn’t happen as they were not staffed to cook for several people

Staff at check in was nice but Valet was not trustworthyI had my fragrance spray from The George stolen from my vehicleI called to notify staff and they said it was not their responsibility and that they were not associated with Valet, it had been too long

Microwave did not work, shower door was always ajar and water was over flowing on to the floor making it hazardous for meI would not recommend that anyone stay here foe the amount you payThe sheets did not seem to smell so clean either but I gave this hotel the benefit of the doubt and I was highly disappointedI would rate this half a star if I couldThe bartender was on his phone the majority of the time and did not greet us as we walked byI had better service at the bar up the streetI would recommend to pay a little more for a better experience

I travel a lot It’s hard being on the road and hotels either make the trip or break the trip depending on the experience It is not the case here

It was top notch all the way, from the moment I walked in the door The first interaction set the mood for my time here and it carried all throughout the visit The staff are kind, friendly and knowledgeable They were personable and friendly and I had a great experience I will be back

Right behind Hulen Mall, you can’t go wrong with this hotel The cleanliness has went above the requirements for CDC and its noticeable The room I got was a Studio with a queen size bed, and they are catered for long-term stays, with a nice sized fridge, small stove/oven, a dish washer, and a full size coffee pot

I would say the room would be perfect for a small family of 3 whose planning to stay for 3 or more days Although there are 2 separate buildings, the gentleman at the front desk allowed us to choose between the two and the floor Lucky us, maybe, but just goes to show their strive for excellence in the customer service department Was a wonderful experience

Really nice hotel Loved the history behind it and great update of the entire space Fantastic location, lots to see and do in the area

Staff were very nice and accommodating We also took advantage of the pool one evening and my kid loved the color changing lights under water Lots of friendly people at the bar and service was fast Lastly, our train was delayed on departure day and the hotel held our bags so we could check out and get a bite to eat Upon returning, we chilled out in a tucked away area with their free wifi, sofas, chairs, and lots of plugs to keep us comfortable until we needed to leaveUnfortunately, the cars driving around Friday and Saturday nights thumping their bass until midnight got old for my young kid But that is not the hotel’s fault, just know before you go! Perhaps a room facing away from the street would be better if street noise is an issue Cost was great, so would definitely consider staying here again

I regret not doing further research before booking my stay at this hotel This is a well known, respected chain and I have stayed at a Courtyard Marriott before with no issueHere, hotel staff were friendly (especially Jean) and did their very best to accommodate me in the beginning when problems began

However the “room” issues were too big to overlook and not be reviewed for future guestsI reserved a room with a patio There were several problems with this room The 2 biggest: the door to the patio would not stay shut and the patio window was completely SHATTERED from floor to ceiling Phone on the nightstand was dirty with makeup, glass ring marks on the night stand that were sticky The entire room was dirty, dusty, forgotten? When I called front desk to complain, I was told that housekeeping was “on lunch” and I would have to wait 15-20 minutes before he could help meI opted to go back to the front desk and speak with Jean, show pictures of the shattered glass to explain how serious the situation was Fortunately, she was able to relocate me into another room The broken window presented a safety and security riskI was relocated to a 2nd, smaller room and it too had signs of poor housekeeping and a shower that leaked leaving a pool of water on the floor after each use I did not complain any further – I gave up and accepted the situation A guest should not have to spend their birthday weekend fighting to be placed into a clean roomThe Corner Bakery inside the hotel was nice and the lobby bar/bar staff was pleasantTo date, I have received 3 very generic, apology replies to my review/complaintsI included photos with my review to their Operations Supervisor – no replyIf asking for a room with no dirt, leaks or broken glass is a not normal, than I guess my expectations are too high for Courtyard by Marriott/BlackstoneThankfully, there are many hospitality options in the downtown Fort Worth areaI don’t want another generic “we’re sorry for your experience” response to this reviewWhile there are happy guests and happy reviews, I just want people to be informed and also see the pattern of the countless reviews that include poor housekeeping and hope that this company does better for it’s future guests

Staff has been great but unfortunately I’m 0-2 at this property Both times I’ve had issues with either no hot water or no water at all like today 7/19 (not hotels fault as the water main in front of their property busted) Room 805 wouldn’t cool below 73 degrees…

it’s 114 in FTW right now and I’d love it if my room cooled down enough for me to sleep They offered me another room which was nice but it’s 10pm and I honestly did not feel like packing up my entire room and moving as it’s more of a hassle than it’s worth The AC Marriott next door is basically the same rate and much newer/nicer with better amenities Love Marriott but can’t stay at this one again

Staff were friendly and helpful Rooms were very clean No unpleasant odors, nor were there strong odors of cleansers

All accessories were functioning properly Beds were firm Air con was working properly and without foul odors No bugs Quiet, even though exterior repairs were in progress Only the occasional beeping sounds of equipment backing up A non-issue Nice neighborhood, adjacent to a strip mall with a Specs liquor, Chinese, and Italian food, recreation facilities nearby Easy on easy off, but not too close to the highway

Giving 2 stars only the second bc they were pet friendlyGot in late then realized the next morning this room wasn’t cleaned very well Called and asked if room cleaning could clean while we were out of the room

Well 4 hours later we arrived back at the hotel and no one came to clean it up I asked room service in the hall for some cleaning spray and cleaned up the kitchen counter, sink (pictured), and the walls where something had been left to drip down The bed skirt had so many stains on it was was gagingKing sized bed came with 3 pillows It was such a bummer They felt comparable to 3 old shirts balled up to be used as a pillow Bring your own pillows I asked for one more and was told no as well I want to add we paid $171 a night for this stay
