Only been there an afternoon and I can already tell you this place is special We have rented their largest suite Very comfortable with beautiful views of the surrounding hills

Friendly inn keeper greets you The house has been in the family since it was built in the 1820’s Nice to hang out in such history Off the beaten path so cell service is a challenge but the Wi-Fi works fine and make sure to orient your navigation devices before you walk out the door

I read the other five star reviews It seems that all the accolades have already been mentioned My wife and I stayed in the “Violetta” suite

We chose this because we liked the stylish gray and black decor There was a huge shower, gas fireplace and coffee in the room We were able to park across the street easily (free) and enjoyed the central location The hotel warned us that it might be noisy at night due to the sounds of restaurants etc We didn’t have a problem It was quiet Highly recommended

This bed and breakfast was great! Susan was fantastic, the hospitality was phenomenal The breakfast was great You get old school bed and breakfast vibes out on the farm

It’s so quiet and peaceful Sitting in the jacuzzi after a long multi day hike was great I didn’t get the gentleman’s name who helped get us set up with the jacuzzi put thank you The next time I’m out in shenandoah and need a room this will be my go to, it was nice chatting with Susan about how much DC has changed

This was our second time staying at this lovely B&B Excellent scenery, breakfasts were outstanding, and there’s plenty of coffee Our hostess was awesome the whole weekend

Our bed was a bit firm, but that suits me just fine Our room and private bathroom were very clean and offered an excellent sunrise view, and the sunsets were gorgeous sitting out back poolside Plenty of hot water in the morning Can’t wait to go back

Lauren Cox

We were looking for a new family experience and I knew this would be the perfect vacation to enjoy without the use of electronics We pulled up to this beautiful victorian home with 138 acres of absolute beauty The views were breathtaking

We were greeted by the lovely farm dogs, Dandelion and Buster They loved our kids and followed us everywhere, which the kids just ate up!We were hesitant to book a B&B with kids, but took the leap of faith and were pleasantly surprised at how amazing Susan and Mike were with our kids My son and daughter loved assisting with farm chores and collecting eggs from the chicken coups We learned so much from Mike Susan was delightful with our kids and even allowed our daughter to assist with making breakfast This meant the world to my kids and to my husband and I The Red Bud room was perfect for our family of four We enjoyed every bite of our amazing breakfast before we explored the farm, canoed and hiked for the dayWe were sad to leave and wished we were able to stay for more time We will definitely be back again very soon as my kids can’t wait to go back and visit their new friends (Dandelion, Buster, Turtle and all the rest of the farm animals) Please say hi, from Hailey, Ben, Lauren and Gerald!

Wow I have never experienced better service than I have here at It’s About Thyme I’m on a time crunch and had all of this in what felt like under 15 minutes

Someone was always available to take an order, actively wipe the table down, refill my drinks, etc When I asked the man refilling my water for a box for my leftover dessert, the girl behind him overheard and took care of it with what looked like silence between them I am amazed Exactly what I needed both food wise and socially Everyone seems so pleasant and the place was bustling Will return!

Amber Gallahan

The food was excellent as normal Please try the Thyme Tini It’s so good

My only complaint is the owner only greeted tables with “older” patronsI’ve been going there for years and have always noticed this So don’t be offended if he pays you no attention The food and other service makes up for it 100 percent Great staff!!!!

Raquel Allen

Consistently delicious food and service We appreciated the much needed addition of California wines to your menu We usually order the prime rib (too good to share) – lol

We especially appreciated the 1/2-basket of warm & delicious Gluten-Free bread – YUM and THANK YOU!!!

Super quaint shop with selection of frozen beef, fresh eggs, jams, and honey teas There are some local wines, jewelry, and chocolate available as wellIt’s a very small cute shop and the staff member who helped us was very friendly

It looks like you’re going to someone’s house but there are signs that direct you to the store

Rebekah Zacharias

We cut down a tree after Thanksgiving and it didn’t even make it to Christmas The needles were sharp and dry and the majority of them fell off in 2 weeks (constantly giving it water didn’t help) and the needles the fell on the ground were sharp and hurt my 4 year old (and me) so we trashed the tree before Christmas Definitely not worth $90

Save the money and just get it from Home Depot It will last longer

George Kreamer

Saw this while riding out to Warrenton, went back with my wife and we picked up a few things The apple butter is terrific! We also purchased 2 steaks and grilled them- they the best steaks I ever grilled, so good! We also bought some honey, far superior than what we usually buy from the grocery storeIf they have the lemon honey cupcakes try it!We’ll be going back for certain!

We enjoyed the spacious well-furnished suites, historic feel of the house, and beautiful grounds Everyone who interacted with us was friendlyHowever, the house is old and this impacts the experience

During our stay, there was a repair being done in the kitchen so they had to close it for dinner For breakfast, we were served what felt like reheated frozen sausages and pancakes without butter on disposable plates This was disappointing because the personalized “breakfast” in a “bed and breakfast” is what most people look forward to In our room, one of the blinds had fallen off from a window that was diagonally facing the bedroom and wasn’t repaired before our stay, so we had an uncovered window facing our bed I had no hot water during my bath – slightly warm was the best I could getThis was not helped by the lack of personal attention given to the guests For dinner we had made a reservation in advance as the website recommends, but no one called to let us know the restaurant had been closed – we found out when we arrived During breakfast, it seemed like most of the staff were focused on fixing the kitchen (understandable) but as a result seemed distracted The guest next to us had informed the B&B in advance that she was gluten intolerant but had to remind them and even then only received plain gluten free bread, more than halfway through the meal In our rooms, the lady who checked us in noticed the fallen blinds but tried to dismiss it saying that it was in a hallway just outside the bedroom, but since was no door to the hallway it was a direct line of sight to the bedThough there were many apologies for the kitchen, it would have been nice for someone to at least ask us how we found our stay (we were told to check ourselves out) and show some effort to make up for itI know they’re working hard to improve the condition of the house, so perhaps these things will get better But more needs to be done to justify a nearly $300/night luxury room rate

Soon as you pull up the long driveway you feel like your going back in time Everyone that works there acts like your family right from the start They always ask can we get you anything which is also nice

We brought our 2 dogs which didn’t want to leave they loved it so much A trail right on the property with a stream for swimming and clean enough to drink Food was great we even joined in on there Easter cookout which we met plenty of good people Highly recommended we also went to the Shenandoah National Park which is only an hr away which was amazing Oh and I almost forgot the view from the backyard here is breathtaking!!!

Summer Church

We recently stayed at the Inn at Meander for our wedding We had our entire bridal party stay, and hosted our Rehearsal dinner there as well The staff were AMAZING! We were so well taken care off all weekend

Delicous meals and great service! Everyone had such a wonderful time and can’t stop talking about how gorgeous it was! We can’t wait to return and stay again soon Highly recommend!

Stayed at this hotel due to family member passing away and we had to travel 4 hours to get there overall hotel was great We checked in early with no problems Front desk gentleman was great

The rooms were clean and had great smell to them the AC worked great due to it being almost 90 degrees that day The pool was a hit for the kids The coffee and fruit all night was great 😊 and then the breakfast was amazing so I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone We will definitely stay in this location again as we travel

I travel a ton for work – up and down the coast in a variety of nice hotels but I live nearby and when we had some electrical work being done on our house my family + my two dogs stayed at this Hampton Inn Paul was absolutely amazing – he sets the tone for a joyful staff Housekeeping was on point, it was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in

The morning buffet had loads of fresh foods and it was very well maintained Truly one of the best hotel stays I’ve had – it made a stressful week feel not nearly as overwhelming to know that we had a clean place to be with a friendly atmosphere

Jon Holcomb

Woman at front desk was AWESOME! Helped me figure out where to take my senior father to dinner She gave us a great suggestionMy fault I didn’t get her name, she deserves the atta girl for her help

Room was clean, smelled nice My vertically challenged father wasn’t a fan of the high shower head, he had issues reaching it to adjust, I liked it very much because it was higher than most, I was able to stand under a decent shower!Breakfast lady was very accommodating Explained what was what, with a friendly smile Enjoyed my complimentary breakfast with my Dad Then we continued on our journey

Holiday inn in Culpeper VA is a very clean & comfortable placeI had fun walking around and dropping dollars on the push carts of the housekeepers

I know most people don’t tip and having a very close friend that works at a holiday in in another state she confirmed itStaff was friendly & professional the only thing I would like to see is the ability to have the fan to stay on in the a/c unitI like the noise to sleep so bring a fan if that is you as wellBreakfast was good

ARS Josh

Great staff during our stay, no problems at all When I left, I noticed some charges to my bill for long distance calls in the amount of $3100

These “Long Distance calls” happen to have been placed to me wife’s cell phone, and we live in the same city, Culpeper VA The hotel has a 540 area code, and we also have a 540 area code I called to have this corrected, but was informed that the 540 area code recognized to my wife’s cell phone is not the same 540 area code that the hotel is in so a refund could not be givenWe have family stay at this hotel when in town to use the pool, and in our current case where we had a covid issue at home so I stayed here with my kids to stay safe, but going forward I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere This is THEFT as far as I’m concerned

LaTrenda

No complaints Room was clean Breakfast was the usual with the exception of turkey sausage that was a pleasant surprise

Many places don’t take that in consideration for none red meat eaters They also had gluten free items muffins and another bread item Sugar free cookies daily for customers Had issue with light bulb and other questions resolved quickly Always enjoy the pillows they have soft and firm options Another plus was body wash in large bottle as well as shampoo and conditioner We all know about TSA and 3oz bottle So to have that was great

Above all things Love

Let me start off by saying I was extremely grateful to come across the place It was pouring down raining, around 2am, my eyes were burning The room was extremely clean compared to hotels I had paid alot more for over the last few days

The lady who checked us in was very kind and patient with my soaking wet family coming in to get a room I loved the setup of the room My first time staying at Microtel, so It was a whole new experience The maintenance man in the morning gave us the total creeps We didn’t even want to finish our breakfast he made us so nervous After feeling like he was stalking us for bad intentions, we grabbed up our stuff and left As a matter of fact, I left some stuff there because I was in such a hurry to get out But besides that experience with him, all was wonderful

Josh Palmer

The front receptionists were very very friendly and helpful, the cleaning crew were also so kind (super funny lol) and quick to help any issuesBeds were comfortable with the choice of pillows TV had some good channels, watched impractical jokers a lot

Highly recommend this place! Supa awesome 😎😎

Total scam Everything closed, place is a dump but you can still book rooms online Arrived to an abandon and unkept facility, attacked by a dog and all the workers do not speak english

At least take down the option of renting the rooms It is evident this is being used by the workers of the owners only Good luck with getting your money back

Litzy Nunez

I really like the place, although they have thongs closed I can understand that they need to wait for the permissions to open things like the pub, I dont know why people are so mad about that because the new owners cant really control that I also like their venues and you can tell that theyre trying their best to run this place, I mean, I dont think It must be easy with all these rude people!!
