On our recent trip from Australia we stayed here for one night Unfortunately our room was very unclean Upon discovering pubic hairs in the bathroom floor and soap dispenser we were in shock

After driving 10+ hours and arriving late, we didn’t want to go elsewhere So we pulled back the sheets in both beds only to be further shocked by more hair We moved rooms but then further disappointed by no mention or apology for what we found Won’t be going Marriott ever again

Patrick Rost

I’m allergic to feathers, feather free room is listed in my profile when I checked in I asked at the front desk if the room was feather free? I was rudely told I “I saw it on your profile” I put my bags in the room and when I returned late that evening decided I better check the pillows When I did I discovered feather pillows

This seems to be a systemic problem at Marriott properties I have addressed it through their customer service, heard nothing At one hotel I had an allergic reaction causing me to take Benadryl to stop the reaction which left me tired for my only day in a national park an incident report was filled out and I was assured i would hear from a manager I didn’t and after a week I wrote a review then I finally heard from someone I also filled out an incident report and was told that I would hear from a manager before I checked out Nothing, it’s been a month Since then I always check before I use the pillows Problems happen it’s how you handle them that counts!!

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

Garshét Hatcher

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Marriott, even though it was only for one night The room was modern, spacious, and you can smell the cleaning products when we walked in which is a breath of fresh air The restaurant/bar at the hotel is GOOD

I definitely recommend, the drinks and food exceeded our expectations Our waiter was also very nice! The only slight problem I had was that the washcloth in the bathroom was wet when we arrived, I’m not sure why or what it was used for but what if we had arrived later in the day and it was dry? We would have used a potentially dirty washcloth Also, you’re paying to park in a parking lot behind the building – not a garage

I can’t describe enough how grateful I am for the attentive and kind staff and excellent rooms I stayed here for several months and never had issues Anything I needed help on the staff promptly took care of

The food was good and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable I so enjoyed staying here and had such an excellent experience The front desk workers even knew my name after a while and were such a pleasure to interact with The housekeeping staff was equally pleasant and did a great job This is the perfect place to stay both short and long term 11/10 🙂

Kristi Melchior

I absolutely loved it here!!!! I had surgery and had to stay a week! This place is so comfortable and the kitchen area is beautiful, clean fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware just need food and drinks

near a ton of places to eat! Giant grocery store right behind here! The bed was so comfystaff was amazing! I could go on and onI’d most certainly would stay here time and time again!! Free delicious breakfast buffet too!!

Beth Bailey

We had a 2 bedroom suite (King + 2 Queens) It was convenient to DC The service (of the front desk staff and those in breakfast/evening social) was quality

Pros: plenty of room for my 5 kids, full fridge & counter in room, some basic cooking things, shower for parents & tub shower for kids, doors to bedrooms, clean upon arrival, front desk staff was nice, mini waffles at breakfastCons: furniture & things had wear (rip in couch arm, non-functional can opener), tiny cooktop, didn’t know we had to request housekeeping to get fresh towels and empty trashService only down a star because they didn’t tell us housekeeping required a request (This is a new, common thing, but we haven’t traveled much since covid and didn’t know)

My wife and I was visiting family in friends, less than 5 miles away, on 5/28/22 Location was perfect We were greeted as soon as we walk towards the front desk,by a gentleman

I think his last name was Smith He had a awesome personality, very professional & knowledgeable of the hotel and surrounding areaThe room was very clean, comfortable and spacious The king size Mattress was awesome Oh, what a goodnight rest we had, did wonders for the back We only stay one night, but we enjoyed the breakfast, weight room and the peaceful atmosphere Yes, The COOKIES was hot and delicious The only thing was missing in the room(425) was a refrigerator, but other than that All was well

Dan R

Very clean, safe, and friendly place to stay Rooms were quite and beds were comfortable allowed for easy rest every night Finally, I wanted to mention Paul, who is a hotel employee (maintenance crew i think) that went out of his way to assist me during my visit

I appreciate Paul and the hotel staff for making my stay a great one, thanks again!

Place a bit weird 4th floor is probably under construction because the hallway is not air conditioned, super hot during the day and smell like rodents and have a few wall coverings taped in place by masking tape and a part of the hallway curtained off and that where the heat is coming fromThe rooms are quite nice and AC works

Clean bathroom Although the toilet is super high and you feel like a perching eagle with feet dangling (I am 5’10”) Pillows are of 2 varieties – feather and synthetic Decent mattress as wellThere is even a little balcony with a nice view onto the inner patioThe pool is closed due to some regulation from 2020 Gym is open 24 hrs with free weights, 2 treadmills and an elliptical Towels, disinfectant wipes and chilled water machine make it a nice experience working outBar is closed

California Dreaming

After being on the road for 4 hours I arrived to the hotel 35 minutes before the 3pm check in time I went inside to ask if I could possibly check in early (you have to be buzzed in) and as soon as the door opens the lady at the front desk yells across the lobby “if you’re here to check in check in time isn’t until 3pm” I understand rules are made to be followed, I get it, but I would have appreciated a little professionalism on her part to at least pretend to want to accommodate me even if the result (me having to wait 35 minutes to check in) was the same

So I go outside and wait until 3pm to come back to a very rude check in process (by the same lady) I was already turned off by my experience with the front desk only to open the door to a room that was subpar especially for the price I paid (there was a concert going on at the FedEx Field so I’m hoping that’s why the prices were inflated) The bed was springy and lacked support or cushion, the pillows were flat, and my comforter was dingy and stained The shower is VERY small (tub/shower combo) and had hair in it My mirrors had what I assume to be toothpaste splattered on it I explored the area and ended up checking into another hotel nearer to the concert venue that had a very polite staff and the hotel and rooms were a lot cleaner In the immediate area (literally next door to each other) are two other hotel optionsthere is a Residence Inn by Marriott and a Hilton Garden I believe I would fork over the extra couple of dollars in hopes that the service, beds, and cleanliness are better Needless to say if there is an event in the area again I would definitely not come back and will avoid any stays at the Sonesta brand in the future

Nomad Family

Nothing about this hotel makes it worth the price Staff is unprofessional They double charged our bank card for no reason

They said the money would go back to our account same day, had to wait 5+ days Rooms are decent, no amenities here except a mediocre gym Pool is closed for no reason, you have to request microwaves, the fridge in rooms is very small and don’t work well Definitely shady at night, a guy kept trying to sell stuff to us as we enter and exit the hotel building Late at night people standing in the hallways talking loudly The front desk people have no respect and speak to you like you have never stayed in a hotel before, don’t waste your money! Do not recommend and won’t return

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

Jenny Terry

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

Janna Chan

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

The front desk worker was great! Her name was Sorta, extremely friendly, assisted us to check us in and we went straight back to the hospice center for a family member The young man (sorry don’t have his name) that was on duty later that night was also extremely friendly! Wow, two employees that was awesome! Only thing the beds were okay and the pillows was lacking comfort Plenty of items to choose from for breakfast

Kevin John

The staff here are so incredibly niceI’m an idiot and forgot my phone charger and the manager let me borrow one for the night I know it sounds like a small thing but it made a big difference to me

The room was clean and well designedHotel itself is perfectly situated between DC and Baltimore

Fantastic experience from the moment we walked in the door The night Auditor Chris went above and beyond to help us get checked in and make it a simple experience He was kinda and knowledgeable and answered all our questions and made it an easy experience

When we needed a couple extra blankets and pillows he answered the phone so politely and greeted us by name asking how he could assist us When we stepped down later that evening for some snacks from the snack bar, he was super helpful and even got us a bag to carry all our items back upstairsThe room was nice, and clean We did not have any issues during our stay Parking is only $24 a night compared to many local places charging almost $50 Would definitely stay againWe were also happy to find out there is a metro station near by for future visits Where we could walk 2 blocks and be at the hotel

Magdalia Ruiz

Beautiful smaller property Room is a bit outdated but it gives it a rustic historic feel The front desk staff are sweet and kind and accommodating

Beds are super comfortable, pillows are soft , room is basic but has what you need If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here Thank you!

This Hotel is in a Great Location, and became my hubby and I, go to spot for comfort, relaxation and Great Service However, our most recent stay had determined that it would be the last time we patron, this Courtyard The room was inadequate, we were given a room right by the elevators, which became the alarm clock in the early morning, it was LOUD! No room service, even though the Website stated there would be, that needs updating

They did offer Grab & Go items, which should be changed to ” Grab- Pay & Go, some folks take that literally, just saying 🙄 The Hotel was kept cleaner before the Pandemic, because it was not up to cleanliness by any standards, the elevator’s were dirty, the carpet in our room didn’t look like it was vacuumed in a while, room was dusty, Guest were walking around without face covering, even though it’s the Hotel Policy to wear face covering?? There was some kind of Basketball tournament in the area and some teams did stay there, had I’d known that, this Courtyard would never had been an option and parking fees were also ridiculous, should be free free for Guest To bad though, this use to be a Really Good Courtyard Marriott, but we’ve moved on

This place is tucked away in a great location The staff were very friendly and accommodating I can’t express how much nice of a place this hotel is

BUT, we either had bad luck or they were that badWe were given our room and we drive to our area and it was poorly lit We get to our room and it’s very hot The AC unit was broken and obviously needed maintenance as the cover wasn’t on I called down and we were quickly updated to a nicer room While we were happy about the accommodation, there was really no benefit to us because we just needed a nice room and bed So getting a kitchen was a nice upgrade, however, we didn’t expect the refrigerator to make a loud screeching sound like a mouse was dying every TWO HOURS On the day of checkout, I showed the video to the people at the desk to which they were going to have someone remove the fridge They gave us a free night but it should’ve been freeFlute, maybe I’d try them again but if it’s another bad experience, I’d definitely go next door to the HiltonAnd I still have the video

Sean Wolfe

I was hopeful for this location, but the rooms are old and need maintenance When I got to my room, it was 94 degrees inside with the a/c blasting hot air Went back to the reception desk, they in turn sent maintenance with a receptionist and returned to say the problem has been fixed

I go to room, still 94 degrees in there and the air blowing out of the vents is cool It took hours to cool off like 8 of them No other rooms available either Then it’s either a sauna or an ice box as the thermostat doesn’t regulate the temp, it’s either on or off Then the broken dressers (handles, rails, stains) TV with satellite seriously, who watches satellite or cable anymore? The furniture was so old and worn in you feel every boars and nail there is The bed was worn out to with a valley in it you just can’t avoid never again at this location To be fair, the staff is good and nice, but can only do so much

Jessica Gadson

Not just great customer service but Exceptional Customer Service!!!! Wendy Williams was absolutely amazing like a breath of fresh air after our flight from Atlanta The room was very clean and tidy I was nauseated and Wendy went out of her way to leave me some ginger ale on my door

I wasn’t aware of the extra fee on my card but a simple visit to the front desk cleared that up Great customer service will clear up any negative reviews as we all know people write more negative reviews than positive I don’t go out of my way to write reviews however Wendy’s service speaks volumes! Thank you for exceptional customer service!

Nice hotel Parking was free on weekends so if you are leaving on a weekend there’s no need to payEntry is a bit weird off the street but the security of this hotel is 5 stars

You need your keycard to get around Staff was nice as well Room was clean Like most hotels the bathroom could use some more attention but overall was very satisfied

Yanick Rochon

Rooms are okay The curtains still let light pass in the morning The extra bed had no blanket included so we had to order some (without charge but we specifically asked at check in but had to repeat request a second time)

Nothing else is included There is no swimming pool, no gym, no breakfast included, and a paid parking It’s disappointing for the price

NYCFLY

Convenient transportation, convenient shopping, quick check-in, considerate handmade chocolate cookies at the front desk, business center, easy access to computers, clean and tidy rooms But there is no matching pool and exercise equipment, the room does not have a microwave, parking is not ideal, there is paid parking and paid breakfastSo Check-in is recommended if parking and breakfast are not required

The Maldonado’s

Great location and amenities Morton’s is one of my favorites, and they are located in many nice hotels like this one Make sure you visit on the evening

Our tour had breakfast arrangements, missed the eggs on the last two mornings of the trip To their credit, staff was kind, attentive and accommodating Starbucks in the house too (for those Cafe lovers like us) Safe “business” area, and parking is just around the corner Modern feel with plenty to do around the hotel

Eva S

It’s a good business hotel, quiet standard, could be any brand really Pros and cons below:PROS:Large spacious room with nice expansive views onto the main street, gets good light during the day Comfy bed

There’s a desk to work at if need be Nice staff at the hotel, very accommodating and caring Very clean, good observation of covid rules etc Food served during the event was good too, tasty, good temperature- I recommend the current kitchen staff can certainly cater for breakfast tooAreas to IMPROVE:No breakfast, no pool/spa; the air in the hotel was so dry most event delegates were complaining about difficulty to sleep at night, myself included – I strongly recommend to get lots and lots of green plants, maybe install some air humidifiers for the winter months The shower head was full of limescale – need to check those details and replace Maybe add a picture(s) in the room, some softer interior details – interior now looks so sterile, plain

Mitch Grussing

We visited DC for leisure, and we felt that this hotel was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and value Driving in from out of town, it was easy to get to this hotel by car, and the Metro stop made it easy to get to all the big sights around the capital Our rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable

Yes, you have to pay for breakfast here, but there are tons of options nearby, including several in the lobby I was perfectly happy with Starbucks and Dunkin; my husband and his parents sought fancier eats in the morning The only bummer was that there’s no pool and hot tub But still I’d give the place a full five stars because we were truly satisfied with this hotel

Good experience and a good price Satisfied customer I stayed here one weeknight in January 2022

Online I got a AAA rate of $80 for the room ($90 total), which is a great price, and the room was good The lobby is very attractive I did not see the pool during my stay My room had mini fridge and in-room coffee, but no microwave TV and bathroom were good so I have no complaints about the room The only drawback is the lack of free breakfast I had forgotten that one of the main concepts of Courtyard hotels is that breakfast is not included There is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant located in a high-rise building across the street, and it’s quite decent and without super high prices Overall I was pleased with my choice for this one-night stay near Washington DC

We asked if there is a cot available because my teenage son is now over 6 foot I guess we’re getting to the point where our kids want their own beds They did not have a cot available but Brianna at the front desk suggested an upgrade to a 2 room suite at no cost

The suite was awesome both rooms were very clean In my job, we talk about the delighting customers She certainly did that Thank you to Brianna and the other gentleman at the desk Everyone was kind and quick to help This was our first stop on our road trip and it’s off to a good start Thank you!

I recommend finding a hotel Staff was friendly, and the pictures are nice, but they do not accurately represent the current condition of the hotelMy husband and I travel a lot, and this is probably one of our least liked locations

1 When we arrived, we paid for and reserved a king size bed and was also hoping to be placed in one of the rooms that was renovated We were placed in a pretty creepy room with two full size beds that were not big enough for us Room was reserved in advance and should have been held, especially being a rewards member Additionally, as reward member one of the perks is being eligible for an upgrade but that was not offered to us either2 We had to be moved to another room which was a big inconvenience of having to pack things back up to change rooms3 We waited over 14 hours waiting on towels after requesting 3-4 times4 The coffee isn’t courtesy, which is fine Okay, I paid for coffee each day But what I wasn’t happy with is the fact that one day in particular I asked for a refill and was quickly shut down (after paying) Cool, I understand that is policy But get this my husband later wakes up and comes down and was offered (and given) a free cup of coffee (which he gave to me) Although, I received the benefit it was still disappointing to see that type of service take place after I paid and was turned down when asking for a refill That truly did not make sense to meAnyhow, many contributing factors as to why we would not stay here again when visiting family Choose wisely

I can’t speak highly enough about the staff, management and service! Not only is this hotel clean, updated and in a great location, but it’s well-run hotel, the team here doesn’t take anything lightly All concerns were addressed immediately and they were most helpful and compassionate when I experienced a personal emergency The front desk, maintenance and management were all very kind and I will never forget my experience here! Highly recommend, will be returning! Thank you~

Check in was smooth, I arrived earlier then the schedule and they were able to find me a room The room was clean overall, but had a couple of missing things here and there With a simple phone to the service desk they were able to get it

Daily housekeeping service, the housekeepers are wonderful and honestly that’s why I put the 4 stars It’s all for the housekeepers! Full kitchen is provided, location is great The gym is alright, only dumbbells and cardio (not expecting anything more) Overall great! Front desk staff were also great

Decent hotel The lobby is really flashy, unfortunately the rooms are quite dated, and mine had a weird smell The shower had some mildew on the floor, and of course the room had an old carpet on the floor as most hotels do

At least the rooms were bigThe on site restaurant had a decent selection of food and beverages, I had the salmon for dinner and it was pretty good I also had breakfast in the restaurant and they did not have the buffet set up, I ordered parfait with granola and fruit and it was good! Main gripe was that they charged for coffee and juice, and quite a lot, so the whole ticket got quite expensive for a really simple breakfast The executive lounge was closed too which was a bit if a bummerOverall it was a decent stay, definitely stayed in worse hotels

Our stay at the hotel was extremely disappointing On the first night, there was continuous noise until 1am Part of that noise was the hotel staff loudly opening and closing doors up and down our hallway and running a vacuum cleaner which they also carelessly slammed into the door/wall outside our room

When we asked the staff member with vacuum to stop, he refused Part of the noise was rowdy activity in the hallway, which the staff did nothing about despite multiple requests Even later in the week, young people were running around and yelling in the hallways because there is no atmosphere of civility or control by the staff It was very disruptiveOur stay was also disappointing because basic amenities were broken, unavailable, or held at cost For example, the convenient location next to the metro was spoiled because upon return, the door back into the hotel was locked and the card key access was not operational We asked to use a microwave and were told that it would be a $10 extra charge – really? At the price we were spending – which did not even include any room cleaning – it is insulting to me that you’d try to milk even more money out of us for something that could have been set up and finished in 5 minutesConsidering the hotel itself was responsible for these disappointing factors in our stay, I regret paying for the room and don’t think it will be a good idea to return, even though I plan to return to Rockville many times in the future

This is a conference hotel but it’s also perfect for business travelers Things I loved: super fast elevator, simple interior parking, Starbucks, great bartender and kind front desk people, good work space in the room (huge desk chair), fabulous pillows, every store you need within walking distance, close to DC, AND across the street from a metro stop and regular sized grocery store (Safeway!) My FAVORITE thing? It was So

Quiet!!! Slept great!
