Everything was quite satisfactory Clean, good location, good amenities, fair service, quiet, smoke-free, pet-free Breakfast was very good with a lot of options

In particular, the coffee and waffles were excellentOnly issue was with the beds Far too firm for my family’s liking Beds are the most important part of the experience Could hardly sleep at night Because of this, I likely wouldn’t stay here again, but I do respect that this hotel got everything else right

We came here for two nights to stay with family on a block of rooms on the 3rd floor Hotel was updated and very clean We enjoyed the pool

Unfortunately, the battery died to the lock of our room and we were locked out for a few hours Staff and the manager were very accommodating to us during all this and went above and beyond Great breakfast options We would stay here again!

For parents with small kids (ours are 2, 5, and 8) this place is amazing for the price We came predominantly for the pool and I can’t believe how much attention, in a good way, was payed to it Staff constantly checked the cleanliness and chemical levels

The hot tub, kiddie pool and main pool are all pretty good sized (sometimes pics online can be deceiving) so it was never too crowded Considering breakfast is free, that was phenomenal too Hot and cold options that were constantly stocked and super friendly staff The rooms won’t blow your mind or anything, but with 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog it had everything we needed and was spacious enough Every staff member we encountered was polite and ensured our stay was enjoyable Not a knock on the hotel at all, but if you’re coming with small kids take advantage of the fridge and microwave in your room because there aren’t a ton of family friendly restaurants (other than fast food) in the immediate area

The room was beautiful but the room was not cleaned at all Dust all over bed headboard, counters, bathroom was dirty Pool area needs maintenance but thepool was nice as well as the hot tub

Breakfast was pretty good enjoyed it On my way out used the restroom in lobby area it was disgusting and smelled horrible super dirty Kind of disappointed on how filthy But beautiful roomdisgusting

Good: room was clean and comfortable Pool was niceNot so good: hot tub had way too much chlorine

Made my skin itch and burn Breakfast only had one waffle iron and day we stayed there was a little League baseball team staying there too Needless to say we ended up with no waffles Need at least 3 more waffle stations for a place that bigpictures advertised a bar/lounge There is none (If due to covid whatever but remove pictures from website)

I arrived late in the evening The young man came quickly to the desk, pulled my reservation and had me checked in quickly Very pleasant

Who’s problem is it that the hotel is listed multiple places as pet friendly and they aren’t any longer? Apparently mine I was told I had to take my 8lb dog and that I could not stay, even though I had screenshots of my reservation on Priceline and the listing on Trip Advisor They list on Priceline, so they should honor it, even if it changed

I was treated terrible I’d be really careful choosing this place as it is probably not accurateThe clerk called the owner and he said “no” I get it, a hotel has the choice to turn away pets, but it should have been honored as long as it’s in the listing The clerk stated I was not the first one to have this issue 😳Anyway, the floor was filthy in the lobby, and it wasn’t a nice place at all, so not a total loss I stayed at the Town Suite a few miles away and it was fantastic

I wish I could give Hamilton House more than 5 stars It is outstanding The owner, Gloria, could not have been more helpful and accommodating, going out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome

The breakfasts were superb, even better than we had hoped for We would highly recommend Hamilton House to anyone visiting the Whitewater area

Fantastic food, service, lodging, beds, atmosphere, towels, toiletries, coffee, patio and painted lady coffee porch! Fascinating painted lady historic house, but with new amenities and plumbing! History and art of the house is so interesting and beautiful Amazing host Gloria, who is a professional chef and superb cook! Generous food portions! Everything about our stay here in July 2022 was superb Highly recommend! It is 15 minutes from beautiful Kettle Morraine State Park, hiking and mountain biking

Carol Reierson

My husband and I were here for 2 nights to celebrate his birthday, including the Fireside to see Sound of Music (which was fantastic, by the way!) (The bed-and-breakfast we used to reserve when going to Fireside had permanently closed) The reviews for Hamilton House were great, so we felt pretty confident booking here Excited even

It did not disappoint!! This place is amazing!!! Like you’re stepping into the Victorian era—beautiful woodworking throughout (staircase is exquisite), paintings, stunning fireplaces, beautifully and authentically decorated…everywhere! A very serene and peaceful place…a wonderful ‘spirit’ (vibes) about the place And, meticulously clean!!! We love the special touches like the soft, thick towels (placed everywhere you might need one), bathrobes, a place on either side of the bed for cellphones, plus outlets/extension cords thoughtfully placed, etc As an added bonus, there’s a rich history to the place, complete with a link to the Underground Railroad (ongoing investigation underway—interesting!) Gloria (the owner) took time to share with us and even gave us a tour!To top off our great experience, the food was 5 star!!! Gloria is a very skilled, highly-trained gourmet chef For starters, the crêpes were the absolute best either of us have ever tasted! We would highly, highly recommend this place! Looking forward to future stays!!

Pulled in at 11 pm, after booking this hotel online in route, to find several groups of men with lawn chairs set up drinking and partying in the parking lot Had we not already paid for our room and were going to be charged for our stay anyway, we would have kept on driving When we expressed our concern to the man who checked us in, his response was that “they’re fine”

We stayed on the first floor and there were men sitting in their car right outside our room window partying and drinking late into the night When we left around 9:30 am the next day, we walked through a cloud of pot smoke to get to our vehicle and I snapped this picture of the remains from the night before Needless to say, I felt unsafe here and management could care less what is occurring on their grounds

Steven Jolicoeur

We had a lot of luggage and were placed on the second floor with only stairs going up no elevator The whole place had a strange smell in the hallways and when entering our room we were hit with a smell that smelt like urine Inspecting our bed everything had stains on it

We were offered another room but it also had stains Not sure how this hotel got the rating it did Didn’t stay we kept driving instead

So they have a no refund policy As well before you book they don’t notify you anywhere that you need to be 21 to check in I called this hotel over 10 times

Expedia also tried to contact the hotel and they wouldn’t answer These guys are just scam artists out to get your money go somewhere else I recommend country inn & suites or best Western where they won’t steal your money
