This hotel is truly magical There’s much history documented through out the hotel Zue was great

The level of customer service we experienced during our stay was truly out of this world The breakfast is great Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable The subway is so convenient, there’s plenty of stores and eating options near by We loved our time in The Bronx

The reviews of this hotel are accurate Inside the doors there’s a well appointed hotel with good rooms and bathrooms Clean and fresh

They offer a breakfast but it’s really just breads, bagels, and packets of cream cheese Outside the hotel is a different story Streets are pretty grubby, a bit noisy and no real dining or engaging site worth walking to

Tom Robinson

We stayed for 2 nights in April The hotel was wonderful, the rooms clean and well-appointed The hotel is close to public transportation and there is off-street parking at the grocery store across the street

We parked our car on Thursday morning and never went back to it until we left on Saturday The free breakfast on the mezzanine level was very good and the tea and coffee remained available throughout the day The rooms were quiet and we never heard another guest, but I am not sure how full the floor was If we return for another tour of NYC and Yankee’s game, we will stay here again I would make it a 5-star rating, but we had left the sign out for housekeeping to get fresh towels and they never came They were otherwise very responsive and got us extra bedding for my son on the fold-out couch within 30 minutes of us calling down for them

Great stay with Crowne Plaza for our New York excursion! We decided to stay in Jersey to save on costs and this hotel was perfect for our needs The hotel is located near a hospital building, but we were never disturbed by any ambulance noises – pleasant night sleep! The hotel lobby is well-maintained and opens to the dinning/bar area We stayed in the standard king rooms and it was very clean

Some reviewers have commented on the bathrooms, but I have nothing to complain about them I felt they were clean and tidy The hotel parking lot has a great-looking food truck that we unfortunately didn’t try, but there is a pizzeria around the corner facing a gym that was stellar Additionally, the breakfast buffet is well worth it – Adrian and Gloria recommended it and we were happy that they did Overall, this was a great hotel experience and I will be looking into this hotel again for any more excursions to New York

Nothing special, except the bad vibe from the manger I usually don’t notice racist people but when I checked in it was the most awkward and racist attitude I noticed that because she was treating a other differently and she insisted that my booking wasn’t legit thill she finally found it

They charged me $50 for insurance and said three businesses days, I will get it back Then they charged me $3530 for no reason and when I called they don’t even know why? They said they will call me back but they never did I bet if I was white no one will charge me extra or there will be doubt if I have the money to stay or not I wish I know why they charged me $3530 but they can’t even tillBed are and the mattress are not comfy, it’s not worth the money or the 4 stars hotel The carpets and rugs are super dirty and smells super bad Not worth the money at all Stay away if you want to have a good night sleep

After a fairly pleasant stay in April, I was booked to stay here but received a call from the hotel while in transit stating that there was a “plumbing issue” in the King rooms and I was relocated by them to a Best Western I should have suspected an issue when they did not offer alternative accommodations at the Crowne PlazaHowever, when I arrived at the other property I was informed the Crowne Plaza said they told me I’d need to pay although my stay was already fully paid for

In addition, they were planning to charge me almost $400 for a new room at the “walk rate” as if I had just showed up I will never stay here again and would never recommend this property after this experience This was abysmal customer service and feels like a scam

Ft Lee NJ Hyatt Place is a great hotel It’s new (writing this review in 2022) or at least is newly renovated – nice hotel inside and out

Clean facilities, great staff Overall 5 out of 5 stars What I liked: clean towels, clean rooms, clean hotel Decent breakfast although it could be changed up from day to day as eating the same menu every day can get old quickly Parking was easy easy access to the hotel from NJ rt 4What I didn’t like: There is a $10 / day parking charge – no reason for this – it should just be absorbed into the room fee

Chris Hasler

I return to this hotel whenever I visit New York The rooms are very spacious and comfortable You can relax in the rooms without having to sit on the bed

It is an affordable hotel, but has a luxurious feel due to its modern and spacious nature The room service is friendly and accommodating Special mention for Beatrice who is always competent and professional She remembered me from a previous visit and always took the time to acknowledge me

Arex S

Decided to stay here while visiting area on business and I am pleasantly surprise in how clean and spacious this hotel is The front desk team is super polite and welcoming My room is very comfortable and the bathroom including the shower is clean

There is plenty of parking but it comes at a cost of $10/nightThe lobby is very well done with lots of sitting area There is a restaurant on the main floor and it’s open till very late which is a big plus for those of us who work late and don’t want to venture out after a long dayThe hotel is perfectly located near the expressway leading to GW bridgeIf you decide to dine out I have noticed that many restaurants are located within a short 5 min drive

Let me say this, I was very optimistic about staying there I’m born and raised in the Bronx so I knowHowever after driving up to it I was still a little nervous

Once I walked in the front desk clerk was awesomeShe accommodate us in every way from price to handicap parking and elevator The price was fair considering it was a holiday weekendThe staff was very pleasant and once again accomdating, the security guard gave up his parking space just for us to be safeThe rooms were very clean with awesome views of Manhattan Breakfast was good too It wasn’t chef style but it was very decent for a Best WesternI highly recommend this hotel no weed smoking no short stays I had a good night safe sleep Five stars

mike zaragula

Great location as far as proximity to the stadium It’s like 6 min walk from out of the stadium to the hotel

Room was fine, no complaints Peaked my head in for free breakfast and the room seemed a bit crowded and I had a plane to catch They had security at the front desk which I haven’t seen too oftenI chose the side with the river view The cars were definitely whizzing by as the expressway was right below They had construction in the morning also If you are a light sleeper both of those might keep you awake I was too exhausted to careOverall I was definitely satisfied No complaintsI didn’t have a car, but parking would definitely be an issue

SL

Better than what I was expecting a hotel to be like in this neighborhood Annoying that there are 11 floors with multiple rooms on each but only 9 parking spaces in the lot The building is narrow and tall

Room could’ve been a little cleaner Would’ve liked some more fresh produce options for breakfast Bed was comfortable and I felt pretty safe

I go dancing here one Friday out of the month with Chicago New York Steppers It’s always a great time because they have the best dance floor Never tried the food but everyone else eats and drinks so it must be good

I do buy water and sometimes a snack and those are reasonably priced Staff treat you nice and they become friends after awhile When I planned my grandmothers’ wedding, I chose Aloft We cancelled because of the pandemic but the event planners were professional and personable

Stayed here in May for daughter’s graduation from Columbia Love this hotel! Room was great-well laid out, with nice bathroom/shower Bed was so comfortable that I inquired where to purchase

Owner gave awesome tip to skip taxi/Uber and take M60 bus to LaGuardia for $3! Definitely will stay here when I visit my daughter next Lots of restaurants, parks nearby

joseph montoya

For A three star hotel its okay in Harlem the staff is super friendly and there is complimentary water and a safe, also there is a coffeemaker and a fridge here The bar here is kind of overpriced but the good thing is that there is a speakeasy bar nearby and also close to transit the outside area is alittle yucky because in the stairway there looked liked some homeless slept there and smelled like pics, you could see it in the stairs but inside was nice o will give it that

Went to a dance competition held in the hotel Plenty of parking Spacious dressing rooms

Decent bathrooms The hotel staff were wonderfully accommodating to all the people who were there for the competition – they kept the bathrooms and general area clean If you come for the whole day, pack lots of snacks and a lunch There’s only a Starbucks in the hotel – nothing else

Venny Cip

The pool is not included! Such price hotel and no pool! Went to the spa and front desk told us we couldn’t use the pool! I asked before I stay because my daughter wanted to use and we booked an extra day so she could enjoy it and boom, no pool! There are plenty of nicer hotels around with pool, breakfast included and room service that this one does not offer! Considering that We pay almost 600 dollars for 2 nights

World class Traveler

This place is expensive af! I am moving my son from Ohio to here and this is where I decided to stay while he made his transition This will be my go-to spot while I’m here It is money well spent

The customer service is spectacular! This place has a restaurant and bar with good food! Book with breakfast included, it only adds a few bucks versus $22 if you decide to pay separately The breakfast was so good with a variety to eat Don’t book if you’re on a diet The rooms were clean, beds comfy Showers were hot I had a beautiful view That’s why my room was expensive I got so spoiled by this place So, yeahI’ll be back this summer with the kids visiting my son and this is where I’ll be staying! 😊

I didn’t know what to expect after I booked this last minute when airbnb cancelled my account and reservation It is kind of an odd place, but in a good way It is very different compared to your typical hotel room and that’s what makes it interesting

Plus there is Whole foods is right across the street! The host’s were fantastic and helpful It is very convenient to the train in a diverse neighborhood I would definitely stay here again

Bossettes Management

I recently stayed 2 nights at this BEAUTIFUL sophisticated hotel and was greeted by two of the most sweetest human beings I’ve ever crossed in this line of business (the owners), I felt safe and was really taken back at how beautiful the entry way all the way to how my room was My eyes just lit up! It was breath taking! This was my home away from home! The cleanliness from top to bottom made me feel like I was in heaven! The room was so cool and welcoming, the beautiful kitchen area, the bathroom, the space was just perfect! My first night asleep in the most comfortable bed I laid on in a while, had make waking up feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on New York! I will definitely be back and I will most definitely be recommending the International Cozy Inn to everyone I come in contact with! A beautiful hotel accompanied by two beautiful ladies who make sure all needs are met is where one should be each and every time they come to Harlem!

Violet Parrales

Worst space ever!! I was threatened and kicked out in the middle of the night when I was only staying with one other person as written on the receipt Was told 2 people could stay the night and i was lied to I was also told i was to pay a $80 cleaning fee that would be returned to me the next day which i never got back

The rooms were incredible I stayed over for a bodybuilding competition near the hotel The room was a spacious, modern suite with full kitchen—refrigerator, microwave, mini–stove, and dishwasher

This was very convenient since I brought meals for the bodybuilding show The front desk staff was especially helpful and accommodating Definitely will stay here again One of the best hotels I’ve experienced

Michael Dias

Nice hotel Made reservations through Reservationscom for a Homewood Suites room with a Manhattan view

When checking in, I was told the room description did not match the listing on Reservationscom Despite room availability, I was given a non-view room on the Hampton Inn side of the hotel I feel this dispute between Reservationscom and Hilton should not result in a room downgrade for a prepaid visit I certainly won’t be using a third party to book in the future I’m undecided about staying here again

Joseph Park

We were not assigned our room until an hour after check in time (3:00) It was only after I asked to speak with the manager was anything actually done about it Please do not take on the capacity if you are not able to handle it

If anything, at least notify guests that rooms will not be ready by the expected time period This was a very special weekend for many people visiting Teaneck and for me, it happened to be tainted by the hotel staff’s inability to accommodate and communicate clearly

Have gone a few times Nice service and there’s breakfast Cozy rooms even though sometimes they smell of cigarette

Cute decor Free coffee They do overnight and hourly I gave 3 stars because it’s kind of hard to sleep when u hear neighbors “enjoying” themselves in the next room I’ve machines are not on every floor But over all decent Price isn’t bad $80 for 3 hours $245 kinda steep, for over night They only take cash unless your staying over night Which kinda sucks Nicely clean though 35 stars lol

They are all caring and meet your needs as best as they can

They are so helpful, I can’t say enough about them The room we were in was comfortable and clean If you have a loved one that needs to be in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and you need a place to stay, stay at the Edge Hotel We were so grateful that we found this hotel Staying here helped a very over whelming situation easier to go through I am not a fast walker, and it took me less than 10 minutes to get to the hospital There are many places in the area to get food, either within walking distance or by delivery There is also a couple of pharmacy’s near by The front desk staff, the cleaning staff and maintenance were all wonderful to us The price is reasonable too! They also give you a $5 breakfast voucher for a near by Bagel shop We highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay at the Edge hotel again

Great accommodations and the staff we helpful and friendly Some of the other patrons caused some issues in the lobby but the staff handled it really well Breakfast was not a five course meal, but it was good nonetheless

It was more than I expected in these times of COVID, and again the staff was really helpful They went so far as to help one of my youngest children make a waffle since he was confused about the machine Very clean, and safe The water pressure was pretty low in the shower but again, nothing to really complain about The only thing I would 100% say is to NOT take the elevator That bad boy took longer to wait for than the stairs and was SLOW But the hotel is only 4 stories tall so unless you have knee or back problems the stairs are easy to take All in all, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again without any issues

Michael McQuade

I was blown away with how nice this hotel was! Very clean, nice security, small parking lot with about 15 or 20 spaces on the premises Once you check in you get the ticket for your designated parking space if they are not fully booked Very nice new rooms, nice little breakfast in the morning, front desk was great! Just overall a great experience

Nicer than hotels in higher price points!

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel They compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you definitely will love it I’m sure! This was a super comfortable space We had our own locker in our room without extra cost (bring a padlock), the food and coffee it’s good, nice and bilingual service (Spanish and English) It’s a safe space to stay just a few blocks from Central Park It’s not cheap but for the location and clean rooms and bathrooms it’s worth it

Sam Frost

Pros:Clean rooms and bathroomNice little cafe downstairs with plenty of tables to sit atFriendly staffCons:There are a Lot of younger people

And when I say young, I mean 16-18 year olds and even younger than that They were extremely loud on the evening, quite distracting when I just wanted to chill I feel like the hostel should have an 18+ age restrictionAlso the cafe closes really early too I’d often get back around 2pm and it was already shut for the day so it’s only available in the morning time which is a bit inconvenientOverall, a pleasant stay I travelled on my own and met a couple of other friendly solo travelers, however most people stick to themselves so if you are relying on meeting others then I’d recommend somewhere else Friendly and helpful staff Also it’s a great location too! A short subway ride to times square/Broadway and a short walk to Central Park which was perfect

Katie Brooks-Halling

Superb hostel! I’m travelling the US alone and NYC was my first stop The room was super clean, as were the showers, the staff super friendly, and it is less than a one minute walk to the subway which takes you straight downtown where all the most common attractions are (line 1) Met the most amazing people and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!! Very decent pricing for NYC too! I understand why all the reviews rave about it

Highly Highly recommend

The thermostat wasn’t working when I got into my room and the room wasn’t ready for my check in time The black out curtains didn’t close all the way and the amenities room (laundry room, deck eating) are not connected to the digital key, which made me need to obtain a plastic key as well The response to needing assistance was the quickest I have had and my issues were addressed with speed and friendly staff

Staff has offered intimate and detailed information on which bus routes to use to get where and the easiest way to do the little things as well as some fun tourist options that were meaningful to them The top floor has a nice view, if very distant, of Manhattan and it doesn’t have the building cluster of the inner city Nice happy medium Staying on the top floor at the end give the best view for price The bar is very small but they had a snack, soup and salad, and cheese platter section available to go with the hotel bar’s 5pm-10pm service time Overall, I would say it’s a decent bang for your buck if you don’t want to be in the thick of it The business center on the main floor has lots of open spaces and plenty of comfortable looking chairs to lounge in The gym is rather small, but it does have a decent selection of equipment

Our stay here was excellent Our room was decent It was clean, they are on the small side and the bathrooms should have vents but other than that it was excellent

The staff was courteous, professional and efficient The breakfast options were varied and the coffee was good The breakfast eating areas were very nice The parking was convenient Because we were staying more than five days we did not have to pay $15 per day parking fee The hotel is right at the highway exit which was great Will definitely stay here again

We stay at this Hampton Inn many times since we have family in the area We haven’t stayed there in almost 2 years because of Covid Wow how it has changed we arrived around 6PM there were 3 people at front desk and 4 families waiting to check in Only one waiting on customers

We waited 10 minutes and checked in ready to go park our car when the employee told us about a $1500 per night parking fee No mention of that on the website I booked on He told us we could park across the highway at the Hilton It was dark and 25 degrees outside we paid the fee Staff needs to work on customer service Hotel and rooms were very clean and modern Went to go to the pool and was told they don’t supply towels We had to use our bath towels Needless to say I am not paying 15000 a night and have to pay $1500 a night to park and no extra towels for the pool One bright spot was a great free breakfast buffet with very friendly staff keeping everything full

The Gino Room is excellently suited to 2 or 3 guests The host went completely out of his way to be helpful and kind to us before, during, and after our stay (we forgot an item and he was beyond his obligations in helping us retrieve it) I absolutely recommend the 255 Guest House if you’re looking for a centrally located, wonderful place to stay in Harlem!

I stayed there recently and had a very unpleasant, terrifying experience The problem is that the front door lock is not working properly We were locked out for 45 min at night without any help

Upon our arrival, James (the owner or manager) gave us a key to the front door because the place has no reception desk like hotels do We explored the city and came back to the guest house at around midnight, but we could not unlock the front door We kept trying for 30 min or so first, knocked on the door (unfortunately we were the only guests that night), but no one answered I tried to reach James by calling two numbers, but no success We tried to contact him by email, no answer We eventually had to call Expedia, who also called James, but again no success In the meantime, I kept trying to unlock the door, and eventually after trying for 45 mins, it worked and we were able to get in We texted James saying that we were able to get into the guest house eventually so that he didn’t have to come rescue usNext day, I got two emails from James: “Turn left until you can’t turn left It will open I’m on my way there now” “Apparently you got in, and I took a $40 cab home for no reason” (Apparently he was out somewhere that night For some reason, he didn’t get a text message Very strange) I also saw him next morning He looked very annoyed and upset, and tried to blame us for what happened We eventually had to tell him “Look, you think we did all this just to mess with you?” He backed down and said nothing after that Yet, no apologies whatsoeverTo be fair, the room is clean enough, the room is large, and the neighborhood is what you would expect This is one of the cheapest options in NYC But, if you don’t want to get locked out in the middle of the night, I suggest you go to another hotel or guest house I hope James will fix the front door lock so that other guests would not have any issue like we did
