We had the opportunity to stay here at the end of March 2022 It was an overall good experience The room was clean and well laid out

Great balcony view as well All of the staff was accommodating and extremely patient and friendly We went to breakfast in the main lobby restaurant and had a fabulous brunch that I would highly recommend to anyone staying here We really also really liked that the self parking was very close to the hotel It felt like a safe place to be in and around the hotel My only con is in regard to the Hurricane Hut… the drinks seemed to be weak and full of sugar and the food was not super yummy However, the service was excellent and the portions were large Again, an overall good experience I will totally be staying here again if we ever return to Sarasota!

Stay was a good time Parts of the hotel do seem dated Staff are 5 stars

Pool area was great What I liked less is hotel had a convention and a cheer group event during my dates They used the common space that at times took away from use of those not part of the events such as lobby seating area Wish it was different They have activities to do off site but what I would have liked is a good shuttle program to other areas or the beach I did see a shuttle to a restaurant if you wanted to leave to eatWhile mentioning food it’s a bit limited When I looked for dinner I noticed half the menu was same as offered at the poolWe had a mid sized car rental if your going into downtown get a car as small as you canGreat beaches and restaurants easy drive to visit

ReneeOnPoint

Do not let my three star rating discourage you from visiting this Hyatt Regency location You will receive five star service from check in to check out and that’s what will make your stay pleasant The location offers a beautiful view of the marina

There are so many restaurants within walking distance The hotel decor is extremely dated I just didn’t get that feeling of being in a “luxury” hotel The rooms offers all the amenities (robes, slippers, coffee, tea, toiletries) I read s company purchased the hotel and they plan to build another luxury hotel on the site I enjoyed my stay and will continue staying at Hyatt properties

Myself and my wife recently stayed for our birthday weekend Despite the initial confusion due to the construction we were able to locate the hotel pretty quickly The valet team was quick and efficient and for $35

00 per night which includes shuttle service It was an absolute blessing! Upon checking in, we encountered Russ who was quick and efficient and ensuring every person was handled! We asked to see if there was any upgrades available, and he was able to put us in a city view! The room itself was pleasant If there is only one nitpick, would be from the television/remote due to the slow delay from button push to registering I do recommend getting the breakfast package as well as you can order off the menu versus a “limited” item I even got to experience new foods that I normally would never think to try! Huge shoutout to Jenn for making us feel welcomed! The roof top bar and pool provided an exquisite view for those who enjoy tanning/having a pint! Best hotel my wife and I have stayed at!

Jessica Tinsley

We’re locals The spa experience was fabulous! Irina did my facial and she was so so awesome I left feeling so relaxed and it was such a treat

My husband had a massage with Jennifer and he absolutely loved it as well Excellent quality and service! The lady at the front desk was also helpful and sweet We will definitely be returning for more spa staycations and highly recommend

margaret mackay

This is a fabulous hotel I’ve seen some reviews that were not so pleasant and I have no idea how anybody could say anything bad about this place since it is gorgeous and so clean Went to the rooftop bar yesterday and we really enjoyed the food and had decent sized drinks

Definitely recommend that the french onion soupI have a partial view of the ocean and the room is really lovely The staff here couldn’t do enough for you They have a shuttle that will bring you to just most places that you need to go to

We had a great stay The price, amenities, free breakfast and decent rooms made for a comfortable stay Thank you to Caroline who works front desk ! she was very kind and answered any questions we had, our room key had stopped working and she with no problem replaced it for a new one

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, its in a great area right across from local stores and restaurants and most important its only a few minutes from siesta key beach! We will definitely be back 😊

Uyen Dang

The room doesn’t look fancy but decent enough with the price, cheapest we could find with close range to the beach and have good reviews Our room is very clean and it takes about 8 min for us to drive to the beach The breakfast is free and includes normal dishes like egg and sausage, however tastes excellent comparing to all the breakfast we’ve ever had at other hotels

Hotel doesn’t allow you to take their towels to the beach though so bring your own towels!

Jeffrey Martinez

We decided to go to the beach over the weekend to relax, and we chose Siesta Key The hotel was spotless, and the staff was friendly We were greeted when we arrived, and the gentleman at the front desk (from St

Cloud, MN) forgot his name I believe Joshua that I may be mistaken He was very helpful in mapping out our next day’s itinerary, showing us how to get around and the best places to visit This was extremely helpful to us because we were new to the area and needed to visit the same places I was relieved that the hotel was clean and did not have that moldy odorI didn’t feel stuffy at all when I woke up The breakfast included in the morning was delicious, especially the pancake maker, which was my personal favorite Every time, they are fresh and properly cooked They also had eggs, bagels, coffee, drinks, and so on The hotel is in a great location and close to Geko grill and bar, which is fantastic if you arrive late and can order Togo and walk there The pizza there is fantastic!! Furthermore, the pool was warm and clean, and there is an outside area called Sand Dollar I liked how the accidental room charge of $30 per night when staying there could be used to pay for drinks at the Sand Dollar Highly recommend this hotel

This hotel is awesome! In the middle of our stay so far and we feel its tops! Breakfast is amazing 👏 after seeing reviews saying it was not good, really like you didn’t like the fresh strawberries for your freshly made waffles The fresh biscuits & gravy and homemade quiche! Muffins, cereals and the toppings bar for the oatmeal & cereal 😋 👌 great coffee, tea and hot chocolate available all day All the employees have been incredible 👏 Will definitely stay here again

And the room by the way was spotless and roomy! Great job Homewood!

Nicholas Marcantonio (Nick)

Very nice and family friendly hotel My only complaint was that the shutters in the room don’t block enough light Outstanding breakfast and great evening socials on Wednesdays (should bring this back on all weekdays!)

I stayed for over two weeks and had a great timeBe aware this hotel is used by the nearby park for summer camps Lots of rowing kids LOTS And they show up in a giant flock and tend to eat everything in sight all while staring at their cell phones or each other’s cell phones and giggling Hard to get breakfast when they eat it all

Margaret Smith

Prosgood location, close to shopping and restaurant, plenty of parking service was good room had a nice decor, plenty of space

ConsBreakfast was a bust There was a large group of young adults that “took over” breakfast By the time I got there the food was picked over and mostly scraps by 8:00 am Appeared hotel staff had a tough time replenishing food Suggest hotel designate a meeting room and cater breakfast from there when booking large groups Too many people trying to serve themselves at the same time equaled chaosRoom 109 reeked of fried chicken grease from previous guests cooking in the room, the smell was baked in, recommend giving the room a good cleaning It did not smell fresh, clean or invitingLimited local TV channels

The Siesta Sunset Royale was the perfect destination for my girlfriend and I! We stayed in a well-furnished studio that had plenty of space to live in The pool area and jacuzzi was perfect for late night hangouts or post beach swimming to cool off!The location of this hotel was amazing as well! A quick 2 minute walk and you were on the sandy pathway towards the beautiful beach If you walked from the opposite way of the beach, a swift 5 minutes and you would be in the heart of the town on Ocean blvd! You could find shops and restaurants and all sorts of fun things that you could do throughout the day

A huge shoutout to the owners as well, they take such great care of the place and are super understanding Make sure you ask them fun things to do around the town and they will provide amazing answers! I highly recommend staying at this place, especially with its reasonable pricing!!!

Most staff is nice except for some I recommend you know some Spanish if you want to be able to talk to some of the housekeepers Considering the cost the room is relatively small and if you have more than 1 person in the room it can be pretty cramped

I would also say that breakfast should be served for a little longer because if you want to be able to actually get food you’re gonna have to wake up at around 8:30 am The location is probably the best part about this hotel is the location being at least 20-30 minutes to most top beaches in Sarasota

SSTRIDE Admin

Great people, comfortable and clean room! Traveling for work is never fun but every person I was in contact with was top-notch and seamless They helped me book travel and paid attention to every detail in regards to state funded travel Thank you to Colette, Lynn, Linda, and Blanca

They were all so professional, helpful, and made booking easy Highly recommend staying here!

Solo Camping Adventure

I could give it 10 points, but:Breakfast could be more healthy Would like to have a fat free yogurt and more variety of fruitsAlso, cleaning service wasn’t every day only by request and I don’t understand why room service only after 5pm- very inconvenience

Air conditioner thermostat was set on 68f and you cannot go lower than 68f, but actual temperature in room was 74F I had to remove cover and use axillary button to make thermostat go to 60F

Stayed here for 2 weeks after we moved to Florida while our house was getting ready for our move in The food was phenomenal, loved getting to know the staff and the locals around the area The place was a blast while we were there, vacancy wasn’t too high so there weren’t an overwhelming amount of people

Having the private chairs and umbrellas for the beach was perfect Would definitely stay there again!

AB

I haven’t actually stayed here yet, but we’ve had breakfast there once, and brunch another time The resort is beautiful and right on the beach As far as the restaurant, it was excellent

Both the food and the service were fantastic, and you can’t beat having a nice meal, 8 stories up and overlooking the ocean Even though I’m local, we’re actually thinking about spending a weekend here to enjoy all the amenities Traffic and parking in the area are a little bonkers, but fortunately the resort does have a valet Two thumbs up for the Lido Beach Resort 👍👍

My wife and I stayed here on a work trip and it was perfect! Our business price of $170/night for this hotel was unbeatable for the Sarasota area Beautiful, elegant modern style and very good use of space with the pool area For a smaller hotel they made perfect use of space to make it feel grand

The room was very clean and had a very comfortable bed The balcony overlooking the pool was great I loved that the pool had so many waterfalls which help drown out noise from any other guests and makes the atmosphere very romantic and relaxing

Alaina Ploski

We stayed at the Sarasota Modern for a quick weekend trip this February The room was clean and nice, and the hotel is unique in its decor and style It was also quiet, which I liked

The pool area was beautiful, and the bartender, Erica, is extremely talented and customer-service oriented It would be great if they had some hours of the pool that were kid-free so that adults could relax more peacefully Valet is expensive per night, and parking around the hotel outside is difficult, so you feel kind of forced into it We used valet one night, but they ended up charging us for 3 When we called to correct it, they did reverse the charges, so I was grateful they did the right thing Front desk staff was mostly friendly, but we did encounter a couple of less-friendly encounters (ie, being asked “are you staying with us?” as we were walking in to the lobby, and a representative telling my husband to grab sunscreen from a case that was locked) Otherwise, we did enjoy our stay and would go back again if ever in Sarasota

Anne L. Weintraub

Hotel is aesthetically pleasing Check-in, front desk, engineering, pool bar and bartender were excellent However, valet is the first impression and should smile and be welcoming

The menus could be more exciting-lunch and dinner were almost identical Be prepared for no room service in advance Nice perks of complimentary breakfast, and a drink for Marriott Bonvoy (certain levels) While I liked engineering, I didn’t like damp sheets in the room However, I did appreciate them resolving the issue because housekeeping was gone for the day I am intentionally being detailed because this property can easily improve from 3 stars with the right talent and care

After a disaster at a different restaurant we found this place via Open Table A+ Food was delicious

People were super nice Started with great apps as we were hungry Add some great rolls and butter with good stuff mixed in A nice healthy side salad Then chicken scampi…plus add the shrimp over angel hair…Yum and super hot Beer and Wine as a reminder We hear the have a great brunch daily…wondering how they do Bloody Mary’s? Mimosas as a substitute would be fine Worth the trip and looking forward to brunch

Jazzmine Dougherty

I made reservations to bring a family member for ladies brunch and it was a very unsettling experience We sat there a very long time before our drink or food order was taken We arrived around the time of a large party the waitress said and we were the very last order to be put in, causing our wait to be over an hour and a half

The waitress seemed agitated when we placed our order, huffing when we asked questions about the menu We did not even receive utensils until our meal was almost finished As we sat outside in their courtyard alone a pedestrian passed by screaming racial slurs to us calling us the “N” word I’m sorry but this is just unacceptable and we will not tolerate this type of environment It seemed he knew the area by the way he was wondering back and forth through the parking lot I would not recommend this location for people of color and note that this is not a welcoming area for all We did not feel safe or comfortable after this experience and will not return I work in the private jet charter industry with clients of all races and backgrounds, frequently flying them directly into the private Sarasota airport not far away So I’m no stranger to the hospitality service industry as a Corporate Flight Attendant No excuse for this type of service My clients often request for local unique restaurants to visit in this area After our experience, I cannot and WILL NOT refer The Reserve Retreat or bring my family here again

If you can find somewhere else I recommend you go w that placeStood outside for 30 minutes in the rain bc the door code they sent did not work The fans worked opposite of Nirmal operation, the toilet ran continuously, the tvs did not work and the pressure in the shower was very little

They claimed it was sold in the last week and new management was not aware of issues Maintenance did show in a timely manner and agreed they have alot of work to do Check out at 10am, at 20:05 cleaning people wre there to clean Never again ihsve stayed all overin various area never experienced the level of neglect in this property

A mixed bag We were happy with the room, location and pool and when we did reach customer service they were friendly and helpful

Not happy with check in process is a drag, no manager on site, difficult to reach customer service,, no wash clothes or facial tissue Rules and policies feel over the top especially when they don’t get some basics right

JODI KRANTZ

We loved staying at this beautiful condo! Communication from the beginning was great- from the detailed initial response to the check-in and check-out process We can’t say enough about how this family treats their guests We loved the personal touches they provided

I had emailed before arriving to ask if there was a fan in the unit and she went out of her way to leave a box fan for me! I was extremely impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was with ALL the cookware, utensils, etc to spices and cleaning products Having our own laundry there in the condo was a huge bonus, and not something we have had anywhere else Pineapple Palms was beautifully decorated and so clean, comfortable, and inviting We happen to love landscaping and really enjoyed the gorgeous pool area and plants The short walk to the beach was very convenient (as well as Siesta Creamery!) We took their suggestions and visited Turtle Beach, Marina Jacks, and the other delicious restaurants in the area I felt safe walking around and truly enjoyed our first time at Siesta KeyWe felt it was a perfect blend of family owned touches, from the towel service/beach chairs/cooler/umbrella to having a staffed office! Thank you for providing so many amenities (they even provide shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap!) We both felt it helped so much by saving room in our suitcases and we didn’t have to run out and purchase things we may have forgotten We hope to return in the future!

Loved our stay here! The room is clean and cozy They also got lots of free beach equipments near the office Very close to the beach access 9, much less people here than the local public beach area

Paige and the cleansers are just so nice Paige helped us to get familiar with the local There’s also a large notebook which can tell you all the entertainments and recommended restaurants around We left an important item in the room during our stay They noticed it, kept it, and even mailed it back to usDefinitely will come back next time!

Loved our stay here! My husband and I went for vacation and we loved it! We stayed in The Lookout and the room was clean, comfortable and exactly as pictured/described I appreciated the honest description of the view from the balcony (most hotels probably would have considered it “ocean view”) and while you couldn’t see much of the water, it was still a very relaxing place to sit for an evening drink or morning coffee The pool area was clean and well maintained

My favorite part was all of the beach necessities that were available for use and being able to pack them in the wagon and walk down to the beach! The Inn is a short walk to the village square area that’s full of eateries and shops and a short drive in the opposite direction offers even more restaurants, bars, and shops Paige and her crew were very welcoming and helpful- even when my car battery died and I needed a jump they offered to help The one thing I will note is that since it’s an older building, you can hear a lot of the outside noise when you’re in the room (traffic, people outside, etc) It wasn’t a game changer for us and we definitely plan to come back but it was something I noticed each night we were there Overall, I’m glad we chose to stay here and would recommend it to anyone planning to stay in the area

Absolutely impeccable! This place is clean, comfortable, welcoming and just overall amazingThe room I stayed in was the Nook It comes with a full kitchen including all the tools and utensils one may need…or not

The location is breathtaking- right across the street from the beach and so convenient to other places such as food, shopping…anything!I’m going to book again, for sure!Ps Paige, Gabe, Jeff and Rhonda are absolutely awesome people and make everyone feel SO welcome Thank you all!

We have stayed at this property many times and always had a wonderful stay The facilities and Beach club are fantastic But this time we were even more impressed with how friendly and helpful the employees were— across the board// from Rachel at the front desk? Who always remembered sho we were, to Tatum and his crew on the beach, to Todd and his brother at the front door

Our favorite was Jane at the cute little market at the Beach Club, Kemp’s Market The items are very tasteful ( I think my wife and I bought one of everything), but Jane was the one that made it special – sweet, helpful, and mostly, genuine Make sure to stop in and see Jane

Pros:Beautiful hotelGood locationClean, nice roomsStaff very friendlyBikes and other fun amenitiesBeach club- some may view this as a con because the hotel isn’t on the beach but it was really nice There’s a huge pool with service as well as shaded loungers in the beach They give you complementary ice cold water and towels, there’s a few choices to eat as well as lockers to wash off

It’s actually pretty amazing They have shuttles every hour to take you thereCons:The club level could have a little better food in terms of selection (it may be worth it if you value convenience)No fridge in the roomIf you have a baby or toddler that sleeps in the crib you may be better off bringing your own The crib they had was really small, and metal My son didn’t sleep well in it

Stayed for 4 nights, there both the good and the bad The good, the access to the beach club is the main reason you want to stay in this hotel If you don’t go to the beach, don’t stay here

The hotel also has some games that are fun to spend time They have a pool table, table tennis, foosball table (broken), puck sliding There are bikes to use but only for adults The hotel pool is kind of small but it is nice that you can sit by the pool and they bring you drinks And in my opinion, all rooms don’t have a nice view, one side is looking over the road, the other side looking over a little harbour There is one shuttle going to the beach club every top of an hour and stopping by the circle However, one evening at 8:35 at the circle the bus came in full, so we needed to wait for 30 minutes for the bus to come back The bad, the facility is not luxury at all, it is aged and the hotel took out all the costs The tile under the toilet seat turned yellow which is very disgusting They only have cheap pens in the room There is just no luxury in this hotel at all and I would call this only a 3 star experience Last thing is this hotel and Ritz as a whole really need to review their sustainability strategy because it is basically disregarding the environment impact at all It is surprising that a hotel that big, with the beach club has no thoughts of any recycling, or anything to save the environment that it is in

Please train your employees to be more professional and helpful in assisting check ins You have some of the rudest front desk clerks I also requested no room service during my stay and confirmed twice, but when I returned back after a meeting, they still went into my room and just left towels on counter along with the bagged up trash on my counter, and left all the dirty towels I previously used

This will definitely be my last stay with this location Other hotels in the area are so much more professional and attentive

Frank Dietrich

The hotel had a good feel when we first arrived When pulling the blanket down I observed hair and crumbs in the sheets I advised the front desk that we needed clean sheets

She told me she didn’t have anyone available I asked her just to give me the sheets and I would make the bedShe again said she had noone and asked me what I wanted her to do We went out to dinner our sheets were delivered in a plastic bag on the floor by our door when we returned at around 11:45 PMI asked about the continental breakfast I was advised that I had a special rate and we weren’t entitled to the breakfast I offered to pay and I was told “no” I couldn’t do that The room was dirty, stains on the carpet, hair on the tray that holds the coffee pot( a dirty coffee pot) and ice bucket Wasn’t worth the money I do not recommend The front desk was rude I asked for a Mgr the following morning and advised her of my concerns She offered me points I didn’t want anything I wanted a CLEAN ROOM

Disappointed since we had other expectations based on the review prior to staying at AloftFirst of all, make sure to park on the street, Sarasota has free overnight parking and you can avoid the $18/night valet fee The valet that was there when we arrived on 2/13 gave very poor service, did not open the door for either of us or help with our bags and was very adamant about tipping which I found strange since it’s well known that you tip a valet (or anyone really) AFTER the service is done

Why would I tip you before I get my car back? Especially when he didn’t do anything that a typical valet would help with other than the bare minimum This didn’t bother me but I didn’t like how pushy he was for a tip He even told us it was his only day working that week to coerce us to tip him before the service and we literally saw him there a day laterThe front desk staff were great, and the gym was very good especially for a hotel These were our favorite partsOur room was unfortunately very dirty, I am going to try to attach some pictures to see This is how it looked when we arrived I hope that Aloft takes this feedback to improve and give other people better experiences

The good: hotel staff was friendly, pool was nice, bathroom was nice, decor was modernThe bad: beds are very cheap, hard, and uncomfortable Sheets are worse than amazon basic sheets; they feel like paper

In the queen rooms, one bed is entirely in front of the ac, so you get blasted all night I literally had to wrap a towel around my head as a hat to keep it from freezingThe walls are super thin and you can hear everything Pool view rooms let in noise from the pool, which is open til 11pmPretty sure the hotel is haunted My faucet turned on and off multiple times throughout the night, stuff rattled in our bathroom, the chains to the blinds kept being pulled, and pillows flew off our bedThe area the hotel is in has nothing but a few excessively expensive shops At least 10 minutes to any beach aroundAnd parking is a mandatory valet system ($18/night), unless you’re only staying Saturday or Sunday night, in which case you can get away with parking on the street if you manage to snag one of the eight or so spots, 2 of which are handicap Parking there is 2 hour max 9am – 8pm, “unenforced on Sundays,” per hotel management

*** LOVE! LOVE! LOVE this Aloft Hotel***Beautiful property in Sarasota The moment you walk in you’ll fall in love with this property The lobby is modern and has a great vibe

Love the music, the colors, the bar area, you name it! Rooms are clean, modern and spacious with great amenities such as complimentary in room bottled water (2 per day), free in room coffee, also free unlimited shampoo, conditioner and body wash The beds and pillows were super comfortable The pool and spa was amazing as well The location of the property is outstanding Walking distance to many restaurants and shops The only thing lacking in the room is having hooks to hang the towels There’s only one hook, which it was a bit frustrating Overall experience was tops and the staff was super friendly, courteous and professional Will definitely love to stay here again!

I was impressed with the location as I was able to walk to the beach in 2-3 minutes, and I was 4 minutes from St Armand’s circle! Our family was able to walk anywhere we wanted and shop till we dropped!Breakfast is not included in the price of the room but is available until 11:00 The buffet option is $20 per person or you may order from the menu The view of the ocean is the perfect morning refreshment! As for problem solving, the hotel was more than accommodating and responsive

I was especially impressed with the young lady at the front desk with her positive attitude and demeanor The only recommendation I might say to the owner is to update the mattresses There are some super affordable comfortable mattresses these days that come rolled up in a box and ship easily Other than that, I had a very nice stay!

The front desk staff were always welcoming and helpful The views speak for themselves, even when there are 30 mile an hour winds and a bit a chill in the air Primary areas of the hotel are clean and nice

Our room was on the parking lot side and guessing not the renovated side Our bathroom shower head was low, my son and I had to bend sideways to wash our hair being we are over 5’8 The tub liner was floating off the original tub and drainage was slow We called about the drain and if maintenance came it did not resolve the issue I write this so future guests have an accurate description of the rooms you could be given It was a perfect location to travel the area from, but as other guests have mentioned time for some upgrades and tlc for a property that could be even more amazing

Urban Traveler

Dated That’s the one word I would use to describe this propertyBathroom gave me the creeps and you needed courage to venture in there, there were stains on the carpet, AC equipment was way too noisy, not enough elevators for the quantity of rooms by floor, swimming pool always crowded

This hotel must have been top notch in the 90’s but clearly not nowadaysHowever, every cloud has a silver lining they say and staff did their best to patch everything upLocation is unbeatable with public beach that is gorgeous right in front of the hotel however when I put into the equation the price paid I believe I am not break evenGuess I will not come back unfortunately

This place is a gem! The decoration is gorgeous, it feels renovated, refreshing and current Every person of the staff is generous and kind, they clearly enjoy their job The gym is stellar, and the pool and the jacuzzi excellent! Breakfast is delicious and with a variety of options

I 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely coming back

This is fun hotel with a wonderful staff It has a youth hostel vibe but it’s great for families The beds are very comfortable and the decor is wonderfully playful

The one problem with the room is that space efficiency comes at the cost of privacy There’s a sliding door between the toilet and the shower so you can only close one at the time! The lobby has excellent snacks and a coffee bar

Clean, new hotel I was reluctant to book here because of the reviews regarding noise Upon checking in, I asked for a quiet room, away from the elevators

I was given a room on the 4th floor next to the fire escape No complaints about the room That said, I could here every foot step taken in the ro above me at 5am, and the folks using the fire escape at 11:30pm Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast No bacon, but the waffle I had was great
