Due to past experiences, I now carry a UV flashlightThis room was spotless! Not the first sign of bodily fluids, bugs or other filthOutstanding staff

This place saved us when we arrived in Georgetown to another hotel across the street and found it to be one of the most disgusting places we’d ever seen So thankful that the Hampton Inn was able to accommodate us at the last minute Very clean, safe, quiet location for a comfortable sleep, super nice bathroom, that I suspect even had heated floors

A beautiful view of the Marina out the window and a nice (more than continental) breakfast was available to us before we rushed out early morning for a local boat tour Georgetown needs more accommodations like the Hampton Inn Marina in order to attract tourists to their because Waterfront Historic Area as no one wants to stay in the other hotels available in the area

The room was immaculate! I have OCD and would not say that lightly Even when I cleaned the remote, there was no filth on it It was also plenty spacious enough for me to set up a full office in my room complete with printer

The staff were very courteous and even the muffins in the morning were good I had no complaint at all except the creaky elevator, which, to be fair, staff cannot control The view is also beautiful 10/10 would recommend Their housekeeping staff is PHENOMENOL 👏👏

Came into town for a funeral Originally tried to book a room at the two Hampton Inns down the street, but both were booked I had family members who booked rooms at both of the Quality Inns in the area (5-7 mile distance) The one is Georgetown is a complete dump, and the one in Pawleys is decent considering the price

But I wanted better; so I decided to book at the Best Western The room wasn’t bad considering the price The only problem I had was a dirty pair of socks that were left in the corner from the guest before me Which leaves me to believe the room was cleaned rather quickly But overall the room was in good shape Breakfast was good and I enjoyed it The only downfall is I had wanted to take a dip in the pool; considering it was 90+ degrees all the days I was there But it didn’t seem as if the pool was cleaned regularly and looked quite dirty inside In fact I know the pool wasn’t cleaned regularly My last night there a big rain and windstorm came through 6/18 The wind broke one of the beach umbrellas they had attached to the table outside When I checked out at 11:00am on 6/19 The umbrella was still laying in the pool; which leaves me to believe they don’t clean and maintain it every morning Other than that I was pleased with my stay

Matthew

The room was not great Bed was soft and springy Bugs running around in the corner

Had 4 people with me and only had towels for two Asked for more and they ran out How does a hotel run out of clean towels??? Anyway, the housekeeper made sure as soon as there were clean ones that I got them The staff were outstanding The older lady running things in and out of the kitchen for breakfast was the sweetest Top to bottom, the nicest and most friendly staff I’ve ever encountered at a hotel Hallway carpets need a good shampoo and the pool was ok (it’s outdoors fyi) Love the staff but I’d stay at the Hampton Inn up the road next time

Just WOW!! We have stayed a lot of places and I can honestly say this inn is the best place we have ever stayed!! Places like this don’t exist anymore The inn itself is so charming, the grounds are impeccably kept up The trees on the property provide some much needed shade and add to the charm as you walk through them along the boardwalk to the beach

The room we stayed in was amazing, the furniture and decor add to the experience and make you feel like you stepped back into time The owners make you feel like family and we loved talking to the other guests over family style meals And oh the food!! Just amazing!! The most delicious breakfasts and lunches with lots of variety to appeal to everyone! I literally can’t say enough about this place It is truly a gem and we feel so lucky to have found it and been able to stay here! Would 1000% recommend and we can’t wait to come back!

This is a very rustic yet beautiful location for a wedding There is room for about 15 wedding guests tables around the outside porch The outdoor dance floor area is lit with lots of sting lights hanging from the trees

This location has easy access down to a beautiful beach area in Pawleys Island The front of the Pelican Inn also faces the marsh and has a private boardwalk that is beautiful for sunset pictures

Frankenstein PBS

Stayed her with a wedding party The location and views were the biggest plus The Pelican does a great job keeping the historical feel while also managing to keep things nice and clean

I have never stayed at anything like this before and it was refreshing My only complaint would be to spend the money and hook the rooms up with some TV lol

What a gorgeous inn! An old rice plantation, Mansfield Plantation is a step back in time From the 2 mile drive through the woods to the ivy coated and grand entrance gates, your anticipation grows Oaks that must be hundreds of years old and dripping with moss, bend towards the road, creating a truly majestic introduction to the main house and 3 brick guesthouses; one having served as a school and one as the kitchen, back in the 1700’s

The grounds and the home/rooms are meticulously kept and Katheryn Green was the perfect Innkeeper! So personable! Her love of The South, its customs and cooking, was evident in her delicious breakfasts, her anecdotes and her tales of the inn’s history What a lovely place and experience! We will be back!

Gwendolyn Kaufman

This is truly the most beautiful and amazing get away place ever! Ms Katherine was so extremely nice and when we called her for help with directions she instantly knew who we were without us reminding her and that made a huge impression on me They have the sweetest dogs ever who roam the grounds

The room was extremely clean and comfortable as well Breakfast was so delicious and beautifully served My husband and I are now planning two trips a year to Mansfield

Angel Smith

We have stayed at Mansfield twice and both times were wonderful Kathryn is such a great host and makes you feel at home There is a delicious spread of food for breakfast

I am gluten intolerant and she was very accommodating It’s such a peaceful plantation and we loved the bike rides This is going to be our traditional go to place for a couples getaway

Played on 8/13 at 1p and it was a fantastic day The course was in fantastic shape Greens were smooth and true

My putting was horrific but that’s not the courses fault Paid $70 for golf, cart and small range bag and I feel that price adequately reflected the quality of the place Had lunch as well and the food was very good Drinks are very cheap (compared to what I’m used too) it was a great day I’d definitely go back

Wayne Carpenter

What is wrong with the people at this course Ten of us meet a few times a year to enjoy several rounds of golf and just spend some time together The starter, Marshall’s and drink cart lady were very cordial

The rest of the staff were RUDE to say the least Slammed clubs around and complained the whole time they were putting clubs on carts Staff in bar did not now what we had to drink and rudely insisted we tell them what we had (We we’re only ones in the place !!As far as course goes it was difficult And I think if you played it more than once course knowledge would really help However because the staff were so rude I will never set foot on this course again

Denise Fitts

One of the loudest noise polluters in Pawleys Island Those of us that have owned for 39 years here in Pawleys, have listened to the 620 decibels that they’re cranking out Noise at 4:30 in the morning 5:30 in the morning 6:30 in the morning it doesn’t matter if it’s Monday through Sunday

No respect for any other homeowner in this town Major noise polluters I would imagine they’re breaking some OSHA laws You can’t be louder than the traffic 17, and not be breaking the standards that OSHA has established We value our long-term hearing We value our peace and quiet They need to value the rights of the people that live outside of their fence

We had ocean front view with a balcony, steps to the beach Continental breakfast The Cafe within the INN had great food for quick go for the evening

Staff helpful if you needed anything Convenient to shopping, consignment shops and some great restaurants I only gave 4 stars for our room b/c TV was in a corner and did not pull away with a TV mount to adjust Could not see from the other bed Easy Fix Also no cameras outside for their parking areas One happens to be across the street

Carlos Campbell

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any room This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the best in the area

I’ve been staying here for a long time If you stay for a few days you won’t regret itElise was awesome! Many of the employees were courteous and helpful We really enjoyed our stay and had no issues with any of the staff They allowed us to check in early and called to make sure we were satisfied with our room I felt the stay while it was short, it was perfect for us I would definitely recommend to friends

Kristina Kooyman

Staff was friendly and helpful The view from our room was beautiful but overall the hotel could use some updates Our bed was old, worn out and uncomfortable

The condition of the room was just run down and cheaply patched/repaired over the years We had hot water and cold a/c so could be worse If you aren’t planning to spend a lot of time in the room and just need somewhere to crash at night then this hotel is fine But I probably wouldn’t stay there again There has to be nicer and better kept options in the area

I was happy with this place! Check in was quick and easy with friendly staff We got a queen deluxe room and the extra space is worth the money It’s a quiet area and I enjoyed how there was pretty scenery outside and also nice shops nearby

Only real complaint was the cleanliness of the bathroom It wasn’t terrible but there was some urine stains visible and that’s just ew I would come here again though

Al B

Our stay was good meaning the room was clean, price was reasonable, front desk was accommodating(able to request an additional night) and the hotel was perfectly located Compared to Mrytle Beach it is much quieter (vacay for 2 no kids)and not as commercialized Easy entry to beach area and other breakfast locations

This would have been a 5 except for having to dispose of our own towels This did not sit well with the better half

carma scheitler
