It was what I expected it to be, nothing more, nothing less The rooms were clean and well-equipped, but they weren’t made up (apparently they don’t do this unless you specifically request it) I used the fitness centre and really liked it

It was also great to be able to use the laundrySome of the staff at the front desk seemed really unhappy to be there

Joydeep Paul

Clean hotel and well maintained rooms even though it’s shows it’s age Right at the heart of center city it’s a great plus Parking is expensive if using the valet

There is a $15 parking spot just the next block The staff was mot what I would expect from a star hotel Anyone who does not show they are enjoying their work is a big negative in the service industry Overall it was a comfortable stay

Ian Melvin

Nice facility! Friendly housekeeping staff and hotel itself is well kept There were a bunch of people smoking on our floor but we know that the hotel has no control over what guests do inside their rooms unless reported Walking distance to so many restaurants and attractions

Warning, walk outside in the evening at your own risk Pleanty of people will stop you to try and ask for money but isn’t that in all big cities though?

My wife and I have stayed at an AKA 5 or 6 times, the last 3 being at this location at University City in Philly We’ve obviously enjoyed our stays because we keep coming back This review is specifically about the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff

Kudos to local management This high quality staff doesn’t just happen It’s hiring the best people and training them to make their guests feel welcome 5 stars for staff on 28, at desk and management!

Grace G.

The stay was wonderful The kids enjoyed the pool and movie room, and I enjoyed the view/cleanliness of our suite EJ was AMAZING! He constantly checked on us and made sure we had a great stay

He prepared the movie room, brought snacks and water, brought towels to the pool, answered all questions I mean he went above and beyond, the customer service was great Overall a great stay!

Daiana Lucisano

We have stayed in room 3524 for 10 days and there were some problems, but the staff took care of everything with kindness and professionalism I am grateful to the general manager Sharon Bell, the sales manager Carla Caboni and the chief engineer Robert: they took care of all the problems and offered to make up for them Now we moved to an apartment in AKA and everything is fine and perfectly furnished thanks to the helpful staff that works here

Rooms and apartments are beautiful and have a stunning view over Philly’s skyline I highly recommend this place- Mizio & Daiana

The room was decent, only downside is the rooms aren’t sound proof We could hear everything But other than that, the stay was fine and served it’s purpose

The location is right of the highway And it looked like there was a small park about 5 minutes down the street where you could possibly grill and have a small cookout There were a few tables out there Take a peek if you’re ever in the area But hotel was fine, clean, staff was friendly

Carrie Wolford

The best part was Ms Essie (forgive me if got the name wrong), who was tending to the continental breakfast bar She is definitely a happy person and seemed to really enjoy interacting with guests

Nothing was lacking on her watch, everything was stocked perfectly She seemed to take pride in her work, rightfully so What a sweet lady Our room was what we expected We were next to the elevator but it surprisingly didn’t disturb us The building appeared to have some renovations done within the last few years There was a good sized parking lot with three electric car chargers We were glad not to have to park on the street The neighborhood was fine, it was on the edge of an industrial park It was along the highway but we couldn’t hear traffic from inside There are very few electrical outlets in the room The desk attendants were all polite and attentive

The Best Western Hotel is a great hotel to stay at, it’s clean, up to date and the rooms are comfortable, I felt safe The young lady, Tashema I think that’s how to spell her name I was blessed to have help me at my check in Thursday evening, 06/02/22 couldn’t get any better, she was professional, polite, helpful, she knows her job to the T, and most important to me, she knew what she was doing and didn’t send me through unnecessary tasks

The common area is comfortable and welcomingThe hotel is located in a business district, HWY, and just a few blocks away from Cooper River Park, safe enough walk to, where you’ll find the row team on the water practicing, tables to seat at etc very nice and relaxing park Thank you Best Western Let me also thank the older young lady who also played a positive role in my stay; I met her when the first young lady took a short brake

The historic buildings, the enchanted garden, the decor, your bags that mysteriously vanish the moment you walk in and appear in your room, the exquisite art, bed linens and gorgeously appointed baths… a stay to remember! Can’t wait to book a private dinner party in the chef’s kitchen… my only frustration is we can’t leave with the furnishings! Meeting Victoria is just the cherry on top A gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of Center City!

SC Galassini

Actually, this was our second visit Our first was during our daughter’s wedding weekend and we loved the Dwight D, but didn’t get to appreciate all it had to offer So my husband and I visited again the weekend before St

Patricks day Vittoria and Ken remembered us and were so welcoming Our room was beautiful But what makes this so wonderful is the care Vittoria and Ken put into making everyone feel comfortable and welcome Thanks again and will return again

Brian Driscoll

To be honest I haven’t stayed here yet But I wanted to give my experience so far I booked and they called me to verify some information which was great of them

Saved me a disaster Then I ran into life issues after my cancelation time frame and they assisted me in rebooking So far I haven’t stepped foot in the hotel, however the customer service has been above and beyond any customer service I have ever dealt with Can’t wait to stay I’ll post a follow up after

1st I’m a Diamond member, my room was upgraded to a suite This was my 1st time at this location The room was a king bed suite

It was amazing! Full sitting area and kitchen with a spacious bathroom Due to staffing shortages, you have to request house keeping when you check in I had a issue with the shower head but the service was quick to fix the issue Most of the staff were friendly However the bar staff could use some training on how to talk to people and how not to be passive when something needs to be addressed like patrons bringing in outside food and ordering a drink and then being asked to leave for the outside food Finally, I was here for a conference The meeting rooms were great as were the support staff who were prompt and make sure everything was in order The location has homeless people at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the subway on the Locust street side I would use caution when exploring, especially as night falls

Mike Dallas

The hotel is nice but for the price I would expect more The 4 elevators were simply not enough to handle the traffic so there was a lot of waiting and overcrowding Thankfully most people wore masks inside the hotel

I paid extra for city views but unless I was tricked into thinking that this means my room would be facing towards the center, I did not get one Breakfast was good but it should have been included in the price The hotel overall is nice and clean and very conveniently located

S. Salim

The rooms are spacious, and clean The common spaces are clean and the location is convenient Unfortunately we encountered staffing and communication issues with staff

First of all I was struggling to get my things out of my car and the valets were standing around talking to each other instead of offering to help After i did the heavy lifting they offered to help I asked the front desk for a dolly and instead of calling a bellman they told me to go ask the valet myself You have to schedule room cleaning and even though we did schedule it and then asked multiple times when our room wasn’t clean, housekeeping never came Housekeeping was actually outside our room and we asked them to clean again and they said we had to leave while they cleaned We left and mentioned it to the front desk and they said the cleaning crew was still working When we returned many hours later our room was still not clean We called the front desk and they said the cleaning crew had left They sent someone up with towels who was actually the same cleaning person who said they were getting to our room earlier in the day! Some staff was very helpful although there was definitely an attitude problem at a few standard guest requests I’ve noticed a big change in the quality of Hilton hotels and in a very negative way If you care at all about getting what you’re promised and accountability then don’t stay here

Andrea Iriarte

This hotel is very conveniently located It has great parking, but no valet available One can tell that this was a beautiful hotel at one point but NOTHING has been done to it and it is decaying

The bones of the hotel are beautiful, but the furniture is second rate, the decorations are scant and cheap, the carpets and curtains have seen better days While we were staying there, the fire alarm went off and it took them a long time to get the elevators running again The door was on our room would open without a key and the bathroom curtain was filthyThe hotel’s restaurant, Nineteen, is very nice, but only the inner circle is well decorated The rest of the tables look like fold awaysTo get into the hotel, one has to walk through a weird office lobby where at one point there must have been stores but now we wonky empty spacesIt is sad to see such a beautiful building go without maintenance or upkeep

Jenny Contenta

Very charming 200 year old hotel The rooms are very dark and not the cleanest I really disliked the beds, hard mattresses and now comforter on the bed

Meeting rooms are nice and large No coffee shop and no bar So much potential My lights kept coming on in my room the entire week stay Super annoying that they do not clean your room daily

Rachelle Marie

Priced high, expected it to be cleaner The room was large as we had a corner room, double bed Room furniture, carpet is all pretty aged and quite dirty

Shower drained slow and filled up the tub rather quick Hallways and carpets dirty feel We really wanted a more luxurious stay here as it was pictures and displayed so nice on the advertisements Restaurant not open for dining in, delivery fee and 5 dollar cold stale toast Parking was 40 bucks for one night! They DO NOT VALIDATE parking like some reviews say they do A bummer, but downtown near shopping

Our room was 920 To close to highway

didn’t sleep the 4 days/nights we were there Went for my hubby’s New Jersey Ship reunion The guys had plenty of fun Just the rooms by the highway where awful Plus you can hear what your neighbors are doing and saying Not good!!! But to have my hubby happy and being able to see his ship matesthank you See you in 3 yrs

Brittany Hart

Room was dirty, hair in shower, dust all over, disgusting “spray” on the headboard They refunded me a $100 But we couldn’t shower & we slept at the end of the bed

It is a gorgeous view but was very disappointed with how dirty it was for the money If I had the money to get a different hotel, I would of The staff was super friendly though For hundreds of dollars for one night, I should of been able to shower & sleep normally!

We stayed at this hotel with our children for a family trip to Philly The hotel was in a perfect location with a beautiful view The rooms were great and very clean

We were able to walk to the Aquarium, to dinner, and sit by the water We drove into Philly for the zoo, which was a quick 15 minute drive Perfect place to stay especially if you don’t want the craziness of staying in the city I would definitely recommend

Duane Mercer

If you are wanting a hotel that is stylish, away from the busyness of a city and has a view

THIS IS THE HOTEL TO CHOOSE It is ALSO priced fair as an added bonusWhen we arrived the staff were attentive to us They offered a self serve refreshment of fruit infused water which was refreshing after a 7 hour drive! The check in was quick There is a lot of parking behind the hotel in their lot which is accessed by the room key The room was beautiful! It was clean and stocked all the necessary items and with coffee and tea The washroom was clean and had a large shower that was like ours at home! The first night we stayed we were disappointed to be told there were only three restaurants in walking distance I should have researched better for this before taking the trip My wife and I decided to eat at the hotel We dined outside as the sun was setting The food did not disappoint nor did the sun set! I would highly recommend this during your stay After dinner, we walked around the waterfront and it was relaxing Needless to say, the hotel is in a great little areaWe journeyed into Philadelphia on day two As an added bonus, the hotel had fresh coffee, tea, and fruit available to take We didn’t want to take our SUV so we walked about 14 mins to city hall in Camden and took the Subway into Philly We had a short ride as we wanted off at the transfer areaThank you to all the staff (esp the front check in staff – the girl who gave us bottle water when there was none cold in the refreshment area, and also to the guy with the shadeshe made my wife and I smile each time I saw him)

Rosalyn Lee

The hotel by the river is a site for sore eyes! Especially after a long day of traveling and emotional upheaval Staff was great, especially James who was so attentive, though busy, and made you feel welcome! There is also a Thursday evening jazz show, 2 hrs, just long enough, that was very enjoyable The restaurant in the hotel has a nice variety of foods

The room was well appointed, even a Keurig coffee maker with coffee/tea samples My only complaint is not to expect engineering after a certain hour which can be troublesome but all in all, it was perfect! I’d come back, even if just for the jazz show and water view!!

Very helpful front desk and check in process Rooms were very clean and stylish Amazing water pressure in the shower and they also provide conditioner, shampoo, and body wash

There’s a cute Mexican restaurant and a cute rooftop bar to check as well I 100% recommend grabbing a coffee in the AM The coffee shop inside is so cute and the service is amazing! Lastly the coffee almost has this creaminess too it I can’t explain and I only had an American iced Definitely would stay again when in Philly!

Brett

Super location, great rates, excellent service Very comfortable bed, fun window seating (fun, not comfortable) w/nice city view, good bathroom Clean

Very thin walls and laminate floors but courteous neighbors overall Originally a “Pod” hotel but better as a Hilton In-house lobby cafe is interesting and decent enough that I would visit it on it’s own merits + it offers relatively generous Hilton elite breakfast benefit

Catherine

I booked for a long weekend in December I have no complaints The place was clean, the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating

Sure, the room was small, but I knew what I was booking when I looked the place up I only needed a bed and bathroom during my stay There was of course a TV as well as under the bed storage, a safe, and two drawers The bathroom was regular sized, had a very nice shower and there was a hair dryer as well This hotel is gorgeous and I enjoyed having a cafe inside the hotel I did not have any complaints during my stay Just make sure you do some research before booking any hotel, there’s no reason for people to be disappointed in what they didn’t get when none of it was advertised in the first place

The rooms are average and could use a little TLC However, the location is amazing and central to all the great touristy sites of Philly Even better than the location, is the service

Outstanding and much better than higher rated hotels I’ve stayed We came in extremely early from a red flight; they found us a room We needed to check out late because of late flight; they allowed us to stay late Excellent service without making it seem like a big deal

Adam Schechner

Pros:-Location can’t be beat A few minutes from Reading Terminal, across the street from city hall-Kitchen in the rooms

-Breakfast buffet is included and more than adequate-Mattress is nice and firm-Staff is very polite and responsiveCons:-Valet is expensive (though we knew this), but when they say it takes 30-45 minutes to get your car, they mean it-Lobby has apparently been under construction for months-Rooms are very dated and need some major renovation-Water in the sink did not get very hot-No safe in the room-AC struggles to keep the room cool, even when it’s in the 50’s outside-Center City noise Not at all the hotel’s fault, but something to consider when choosing a hotelOverall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, but there are definitely some improvements that should be made

Why Doihavetodothis

This was a perfect location for the convention center Right near reading terminal market for food Walk a couple blocks and you’re at a park, or a mall, or surrounded by food

Hot buffet breakfast, only downside is it’s the same thing every morningStaff was amazing Especially Mark at the front desk He was incredibly helpful each time we saw him Breakfast room crew always friendly and refreshing the hot foodsWater pressure in room was a low in the sinks and I wouldn’t recommend driving Philly water, we bought gallon jugs from the 711 around the corner

Great experience overall Amazing location! Hotel room was clean, quiet, and comfortable Bed was clean, comfortable (not amazing, but suited us well for our stay)

Staff was kind, quick, and courteous Although the hotel certainly is not brand-new and a few areas showed signs of age, it was overall a lovely stay with great serviceBreakfast was fine, but if you want something truly delicious, go across the street to Reading Terminal MarketParking fees are excessive If you know how to navigate street parking and parking lots (and are willing to walk a block or 2), you’ll save a lot

M. Jay Hilano

Avail for the family room Has 2 full size bed and a sofa bed Room very spacious and clean

Bathroom is adequately sized and cleanConcierge are nice and friendlyLocated across the Reading Terminal with tons of food and drinks availableIt’s also beside the convention center which is very convenient is you are attending a conferenceDidn’t give a 5 star rating since I witnessed a mice scurrying around the lobby floor near the food/drink section

Ren Frank

Stayed here for about 4 days The location of this hotel is perfect! Close to many things like the Reading Market Terminal, the convention center, and other historical sitesOur room was in general clean, but it does need to be updated and renovated along with certain parts of the hotel

There was no fan/vent thing in our bathroomThe free breakfast was good They offer breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bagels, waffles, fruit, cereal, and yogurt For beverages: juice, milk, tea, and coffee But, you have to wake up real early to get food!!! Breakfast is only served from 6am to 9am Wish it ended at 10am though because not many people wake up earlyParking here is expensive Thought there would be free parking or at least discounted parking for guestsOverall, the staff were professional and friendly Thank you guys for working!

Wow! Where to start?! This hotel is absolutely stunning We cannot express enough how wonderful their staff is as well They went above and beyond to correct a minor inconvenience and were extremely helpful with returning an item back to me that was left at the hotel

The pool, bar, spa, rooms, atmosphere, etc are just top notch You couldn’t ask for more My husband and I enjoyed every second of our stay and we are looking forward to getting back to the Four Seasons soon Again, the staff is just fantastic and we highly recommend this beautiful hotel 11/10!

Thu-Nga Ortega, DDS, MAGD

Wow, this hotel is amazing and customer service is top notch! There’s always a service person in the hallway almost anytime you open your door to provide you with anything you may need in your room They also have ice service to your room which is a plus There is bed turndown service as well

The bathroom has the best shower with strong pressure! The closet is like a changing area which is nicely separated front the bedroom area Everything is super plush here only suggestion is that they provide better toilet paper in the rooms Considering how upscale this hotel is, this is definitely a must

Taylor Weese

Posting on behalf of a friend who was too shy to do so – the hotel itself and service is lovely and exceed expectations The elevators, or should I say elevator, needs to be assessed and addressed How can such a luxurious hotel think the current system works? The amount of people and floors and what are labeled “smart” elevators create an unnecessary wait for a simple trip

Desperately needs improvement If they’re going to have two for the whole hotel, at least make sure they both work all the time! Otherwise fantastic

The room was clean with up to date decor There was a nice pool, although we didn’t get a chance to swim The breakfast was hot and had a nice dining area near the buffet The location is perfect being close to many restaurants and attractions in downtown, and yet it is a short walk to the closest Broad Street SEPTA station if you need to get to the stadiums I was leery to book this place because it had a 42 rating on google, but it was the best deal I could find for one night I’m quite picky with hotels, and while it is no Ritz Carlton, it definitely deserves a higher rating than a 42 for a hotel in the middle of downtown Philly Thank you for a great stay!

The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful Breakfast was good and had a nice variety The pool is a bit small and closes about 10 minutes earlier than the advertised “open til 9” but was still nice and refreshing when it was open

Overall, they made our stay wonderful and we would go backThe only real downfall of the hotel was the thin walls in the room we were it It seemed like it was converted from a suite into two separate rooms and the connecting door was just permanently locked But that door is as thin as a bedroom door might be and we heard our neighbors pretty much at all times

Close to the center and some of the best restaurants Although clearly not a new hotel the rooms are good and have a nice view over the city A plus is the swimming pool

A little card in the room notifies that towels are available at the pool That’s a sign of good care Breakfast was good Eggs, sausage and pancakes etc Very very friendly staff Also in the breakfast room!

Nice hotel with affordable rates and great service The pool is somewhat of a nice perk in the city The lobby has a nice steakhouse and very lively bar

However, the bathrooms appear dated The valet folks are nice but take forever to get your car They don’t even let you call down for your car—so be ready to wait 45-60 min The only reason we would stay here again is because of the great hotel staff!

Didn’t get to enjoy the pool since it was closed for the season (stayed in October), that would’ve made my visit! The room was nice, we had a corner, so we had a little view down the road instead of just an airshaft Bustling hotel, seemed like a lot of folks were visiting to enjoy a sporting event, but I was present for a wedding Like others have said, the valet was indeed very slow

I’m glad I didn’t need my vehicle except for at checkout Lots of the amenities had been suspended due to COVID, so I’m not sure I really got the full hotel experienceand I could’ve done with a larger bathroom for sure It got really humid in the room after showering All in all, I think I enjoyed it mostly because I had a wonderful companion and was there to celebrate something special The post-wedding brunch catered by the hotel was good I was given gluten free pancakes by special request!

Room service was lack luster The shower temperature wasn’t consistent, even if you didn’t touch the knob it could do from warm to scolding hot in just a few seconds Furthermore the pool had so much chlorine I almost threw up when I inhaled too much

The bed was fine but the pillow were to firm and my neck was so soreIt was in a good location, and the front desk person was incredibly nice and accommodatingUnder normal pricing this would be a 3/5 but the price is way to high for the less than adequate convenience and comfort Would not recommend compared too other hotels

The hotel staff was very pleasant! Everyone from the valet, bartender, front desk, and security were professional The room was clean and we enjoyed the water view from all of the windows We sat by the water and watched the ferry, paddle boats, jet skiers, and families

The location was an easy drive from the highway and great for walking to some local attractionsIt is a long walk form self parking to the lobby People with children, elderly, or a lot of luggage might need to use the valet

Front desk agent Sadat was very surly As I have worked in the hospitality as well as customer service field for 6 years, I’m very familiar with the professional and disposition a front desk agent should withhold His demeanor was very unpleasant, cold, and withdrawn

As a diamond member I know that accommodations that can be made as well as the empathetic values Hilton prides themselves on This man, holds not one of these qualities He was very rude to me and the guest before and after me I ultimately ended up canceling both of my reservations and going to a more pleasant Hilton location due to his attitude, unpleasantness, and the way i was treated at the front desk There was an issue with a credit card that could’ve easily been switched and well as room booking issues But after my short interaction with him, i decided to cancel the entire stay This was supposed to be a treat to my family after a rough patch in our lives and many deaths due to Covid-19 But i am absolutely never coming back here and i pray that no one else comes to this location for the same reasons i did and receive the treatment i have The location is beautiful but the staff needs improvement

The hotel was nice, but it lacked many amenities I found out once arriving that the executive lounge only had tea and coffee The tea was just bags of Lipton and the coffee was from a gas station style dispenser that you put your cup under and pushed the button

I was not given bottles of water that I usually get when staying and there was no water in the lounge either The front desk also stated that the restaurant is closed until the weekends and the breakfast available is a grab and go style The next morning I went to the table containing breakfast items and was asked if I would like to put it on my room I excused myself and confirmed that they did indeed honor the breakfast credits for diamond members They said they did so I had them add on a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich Upon checking out I found that credits had not been applied to my stay for the breakfast items purchased
