Best “free breakfast” in a hotel ever Ms Jackie does an amazing job

Food was hot and delicious, coffee was good Got our travel day off to a great startRoom was nice and the bed was comfortable Like most places we’ve stayed lately, caulking around the shower needs some maintenance Otherwise no issuesWould definitely stay here again and we’re going to check out more Hilton properties in the future We were impressed

B Olenick

The rooms were not clean, the egg breakfast was like cardboard, the sausages were burnt The ac vent in the bathroom had a layer of mold on it! We were going to stay here for our return trip but canceled It was disgusting

Hire better staff and when you state in your marketing that your room are clean, make sure they are!! I’m tired of excuses If you’re unable to keep rooms clean as you promise, then shut it down and don’t charge me high rates!! This is terrible

S Bell

The rooms are fine and clean…the typical room you would expect at a HI The biggest disappointment was with the coffee and breakfast I travel quite frequently for work and this was by far the worst coffee I’ve tasted in a Hilton property in the last five years

The breakfast was bad, factory made omelets were cold, only one side of the toaster worked, and probably most importantly, the dining area was very dirty Dried food and syrup on the tables…my family had a hard time finding a clean table to sit at You could tell that none of the surfaces in the breakfast area had been cleaned in a while I will not stay here if I travel to Lafayette again

Great hotel & location ! The moment you walk into the lobby, you’ll be hit with the nice ambience & extremely friendly/helpful staff members, fortunately the entire hotel matched my first impressionThe rooms are so clean & everything’s so nice smelling The 2-Queen room is quite large with a nice large seating area, huge TV, desk & a big bathroom

They include a real high-power blow dryer, as well ! The bathtub/shower are a good size too, not what I typically see in hotels It was a great hotel & the price makes it even more attractive I will say that the beds were a bit firm, but not uncomfortable We enjoyed our stay & will stay at this hotel again, when we’re in town

Eric Biagas

Four stars – only because they are undergoing renovations The room was nice, seemingly well maintained, and very quiet The staff was friendly enough and the in-house bar was perfect for a few drinks before bed

The lighting in the sitting areas seems to be a bit off (too cool and in conflict with the tone seen in the adjacent lobby), but the spaces provided ample seating

Victor Nguyen

It was sad they had one chef working one night Our waiter gave me the wrong order and forgot my salad I didn’t complain because I understand things happen

They didn’t have a laundry like other hotels Wifi is always annoying to connect to Smartwater was $6, but at the gas station it was $219 They had no prices at the concession so I wouldn’t know how much it was I don’t like the doors that hide the refrigerator, it was like opening two doors to get to the refrigerator

Booked this places because pictures look very nice but when we arrived in the room the floors were sticky and there was hair on the sink I did not stay there and was told I wouldn’t be charged I have been calling and sending emails for past 2 weeks to get my card refunded

Was left on hold for 20 minutes and when I called back 2 times after they didn’t even answer the phone I booked through bookingcom and would not recommend this hotel to anyone

T McB

The hotel is clean and quiet The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming and the free continental breakfast consisted of a waffle station (with all the toppings), eggs, pastries, cereals, coffee and juices The room was clean and had a barn door that covered either the closet or the bathroom, a refrigerator and in-room thermostat for AC / heat

the linens were clean and soft, and many USB ports to charge items Check out is at 11am, we asked for an additional hour and it was granted no questions asked

Tyrone Biggums

Stayed there earlier in the weekDesk staff and most of the house keepers were super friendly They get 5 stars

However this one snotty lady (Tasha I think?) was a big part of the 1 star Asked her a question and was completely ignored Also the GM Dawn needs talked to as well as getting an exterminator to get them rats out of that nest on her head Rooms and most of the staff are great, just a few bad apples

The air conditioning in my first room did not work Walked into the room (in June) to see it at 77 degrees I had a work function to attend, so I turned it down and left thinking that it would be cool when I returned

Came back at around 11pm to a 78 degree room They moved me to a new room at midnightThe hotel is in a good location but the parking lot was full of people partying, so it was loud The pool was maybe 10×12 and fully covered by an overhang This is probably why I could not find photos of itThere was no hand soap in either of the rooms I was in and the room I moved into was also out of body washThe kitchen sink in the second room did not drain At allI left 2 clothing items in the room (I know exactly where I left them) and called 2 days after checking out to see if I could get my items back They apparently cannot find the 2 items I clearly left behindOverall, it was a pretty poor experience

Emily Wangunyu

Rooms are a little squeezed Not much space for a suite Especially the one I got with 2 beds

The sink is gross and filthyThe shower head fell off as I took a shower The lady at check in wasn’t friendly, I had an early checkin approved but she wanted to make me wait till 3pm or 12pm Thank God I remembered the lady who approved my early check in (Thanks Bree 🙂 you’re a life saver ) I work nights, so a nice quiet dark room would be ideal There were loud noises coming from the room above mine And the blinds leave a space under, so light comes in to the room It’s not really darkOther than all the, everything else was just okay

TXJedi68

Stay somewhere else The hotel itself is fairly new However it it very poorly managed

The front desk employees need some serious customer service training You have to ask for extra towels and bedding because they don’t provide enough for the number of people in your room The elevators are slow Despite numerous attempts we could never connect to the wi-fi The breakfast “buffet” is a complete joke! And forget trying to communicate with the cleaning staff None of them speak English The “pool” is the size of a hot tub

The room was nice, I had a few issues one I did report to the front desk that it sounded like a stampede above me I was on the 3rd floor I asked if I could be moved & I was told that they were sold out The bed was beyond HARD and the pillows were SOFT no firmness at all

The bathroom door did not stay open it would slam very loudly The shower was not clean it had a bug in it I stay at Holiday Inn often, I’m a rewards member, I was hoping to be compensated with points since I couldn’t move to another room after I notified the front desk of the noise The location was great, away from the loud interstate Also I asked Hope if they had a cup for used pens and she said No I found that to be weird with the pandemic going on, why not separate the used pens from the clean pens Nothing was there to sanitize anything

Shannon Healy

Staying at the Holiday inn and suites is like staying at a home away from home The staff is very professional and Courteous That are always smiling and greeting you

Mrs Emily is very warm and welcoming when you walk in But what I really like is she knows a lot of her guests by name It makes you feel like a part of a huge extended family They go above and beyond the call of duty at this hotel

Aaron Williams

Stayed there one night Don’t be alarmed by the area (it’s right off the main highway and you’ll pass some motels on your way in) The hotel sits way back off the road down a long drive and the parking lot is very well lit

The rooms were very clean and nice The front desk and cleaning staff were superb Didn’t try the bar or restaurant, but they looked nice as well I would definitely stay there again

Fantastic location close to the airport and the heart of Lafayette The property is well kept and is in great shape My room however, was not

You can start to see it showing its age, with cracks forming in the walls, chipped furniture, and an embarrassingly chipped bathtub The water pressure in the shower was great, but the flaking laminate of the bathtub really was the low point How they had this room open for guests with something in this condition in a respectable property like this one is beyond meOtherwise, staff is friendly and courteous The free breakfast had quite a few new selections such as Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and fruit cups, a welcome sight after one too many powdered eggsThe parking lot itself is well lit, but is kind of set back from Kaliste Saloom, so it may be hard to find, not to mention the sign for the place seems to be missing and it shares an albeit awkward driveway with the Best Western next doorWill I stay here again? Probably, but it won’t be my first choice again, as there are other options nearby

Kenny M

Clean and friendly! Very friendly staff and the room even came with popcorn Id stay here again passing through on I-10 Bathtub was a bit weathered but overall a nice place

Edit: The provided breakfast was also very good Main plate included bacon, eggs, and French toast Cereal and plenty of sides available

Warm greeting upon entering plus warm cookies so you can’t lose! Room was very spacious and bed was quite comfortable I travel weekly for work and I slept straight through in this bed The rooms are a little dated but nice

The only thing that bothered me was the crooked install of the bathroom sink and the dust accumulation on the bathroom vent Housekeeping never cleans those things so it’s not shocking Would definitely stay here again!

Christine Charles-Pauuvale

We had the a room with the River View and it was really exciting for the kids! Throughout the day we seen boats passing and might have even seen a alligator! Our room was very clean, cracks and corners were tidy and bathroom was perfect Only down side, they do not offer free breakfast LOL but overall the hotel is well kept, the staff was extra friendly and it is in a good location I will be back again!

Sophia Drake

Our stay was great at this hotel We were greeted by Keira at the front desk She had the most positive attitude and really made our stay more enjoyable

I have been here for over 30 days The cleaning staff is PERFECT Front desk does the best they can

The pool and hot tub are dirty and so is the furniture in the lobby Some of the staff smoke cigarettes at the front door which you basically walk through to get in The breakfast is horrible! This is not a staff issue, but the quality sucks and they have the same three things every other day I don’t see that any of the rules are enforced The pool is open late, and since the people out there have not respect for anyone staying in the hotel, they are loud and obnoxious The family staying above my room sound like they are moving furniture until 3amno lie They have been asked to please keep it down but simply refuse out of ignorance This is by far the worst Marriott I have stayed in

Nick Culver

Friendly staff and the rooms have a good layout for extended travel I will say that I was not recognized as an elite member or offered my complimentary water/snack upon arrival This has been an ongoing issue since the pandemic, and is certainly not limited to this location

I did have to notify staff of several issues with my room (broken toilet, burned out bulb, shower curtain rod loose, etc but they were attended to immediatelyAs far as the breakfast goes…like all hotels that had a great spread in the morning pre-pandemic, they’ve cut back heavily and the offerings included cereal, microwaved items in small baggies (gross), juice, yogurt, oatmeal, and some fruit I wish they had a toaster and some bread out It is what it is and I’ve stopped making my hotel choices based on complimentary food offerings, as it’s usually a huge let-downWould I stay here again…sure The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was good

E Crockett

I stayed in a two bed/bath suite with a family member Both bathrooms had hair on the shower walls My bathroom had long strands of hair on the tile floor

I complained to the front desk and housekeeping I asked not to have the room cleaned since I always clean my rooms with disinfectant wipes and spray I only asked to have garbage emptied and the floors vacuumed When I returned to the room in the evening, I noticed that the garbage was emptied but I still saw long strands of blond hair on the tile floor I spoke with the front desk person again but this time the general manager was there However, all they offered were apologies I will never stay at another Residence Inn again!

I was there in 2017 and I loved this hotel!!! It had a kitchenette which I’d never heard of or seen in a hotelThe room had a bedroom and also a living room which affords a lot of privacy for anyone lodging thereThe hotel grounds was very serene too

The breakfast was great tooI look forward to visiting soonest

Misty Thompson

I never write reviews but this was one of the most miserable stays we’ve ever experienced The air never got below 78! I know it’s hot outside but that’s no reason for the air to not work right The pool was murky and the keys kept deactivating

Got locked out of the building several times For $170 I expected more out of the stay

Angel Serigne

Far from the interstate The free breakfast had little variety – eggs, yogurt, oatmeal or grits, bagels which could be toasted and bread which could not, coffee, and juice When an employee was there, they were usually on their phone and did not interact with guests

For the Wednesday happy hour, there was wine, cheese and soup The cheese was good Service was the same as breakfast

Stayed in Lafayette to attend a job training Excellent hotel experience Staff are friendly and helpful

The rooms are immaculate, clean, and beds very comfortable Hot breakfast is included- biscuits/gravy were very good 3 beverages included every evening with hot food Couldn’t be happier with my experience here Will be staying at more Drury Inn Hotels in the future!

CaSara Warren

I don’t normally write reviews but after my stay at Drury Inn there was no way I wasn’t going to write a review The stay and experience was absolutely wonderful From the staff to the cleanliness of the hotel to the food, there was not a complaint from anyone in my family

The staff are very personable and make sure you have everything you’re needing Yolanda and Theresa are so sweet and accommodating Ruby in the kitchen is very sweet and has such great hospitality The beds were super comfortable so that’s a plus too Even though the hotel was busy during our stay the staff never ceased to make sure each guests needs were met This will now be our constant place to stay when we visit the Lafayette area By far the best experience my family has had at a hotel

Chris Walther, Realtor

The hotel could use some decor updates but it was clean, everything worked and the beds were comfortable The area around the hotel is not great but there is a Cracker Barrel next door and we have never felt unsafe on the property We have stayed at this location about 10 time this year as our son goes to school at UL

Sometimes we bring our small dog and he likes it there too There is a lot of grassy area for him to walk around I never could figure out why this Drury is a little more expensive than some of the better ones we have stayed at All and all it is a good bang for your buck and we love Drury rewards program so we keep coming back

From start to finish our experience was great The hotel staff was so courteous and helpful This is one of the best experiences our party has ever had with hotel staff

The young lady who worked the night shift of the front desk on 6/10 was extremely kind! Isaiah at the breakfast the next morning was great Our room was clean (for a hotel room) We didn’t have conditioner in our shower but they had little bottles at the front desk The headboard tops could use a nice dusting but overall I was impressed by the cleanliness We would recommend and stay again My only complaint is that there were young people in the hall until like 1am slamming doors, talking loud, and running/stomping That is kind of “the risk” you take at a hotel though lol after all you are kind of having a sleepover with hundreds of other people

Brooke P

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! Things were great until I woke up to a bug crawling on the pillow! Also, we were told checkout is “before noon,” but our key cards stopped working at 10:30 am as we were loading up the car and before we’d formally checked out

Housekeeping tried to come in at 9 am which woke us up However, it was helpful that housekeeping was around as they had to let us back in our room to retrieve the remainder of our belongings Everything else was great!

Chris

Decent size rooms, everything was clean, the staff was super friendly They had a decent breakfast No bar but they have a few drinks in a cooler for purchase

Pool was kinda small but okGet some car chargers and this place would be on our list of places to stay in the future

Alert!!!! This hotel is under renovation The exterior is horrible and looks nothing like the picture You cant use the front entrance bc of water leaks and construction equipment

The rennovated rooms look like a college dorm room with a 32 inch TV and no pictures on the walls The bed does not even have a headboard They have leaks in the ceiling, and air purifiers everywhere I am probably inhaling black mold as i type You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig Oink 🐷!

We ended up checking out and finding another hotel for the night The hallway and room smelled musty like mildew A dehumidifier was running in the hallway so there might have been some kind of water leak somewhere

We were afraid to stay in a place that smelled like thatBesides the smell, we had paid extra for a balcony room Our balcony looked out over the front entrance that was under construction There was no way we were going to sit on s balcony watching the construction workers and listening to the sounds of hammering and banging

This place is very capable of being 5 stars The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous The room is like an apartment

Fantastic for travelling with family I really wanted to give 3 stars, but the hotel, courtyard, and surroundings are so fantastic that I went with 4 stars The issue here is a lack of maintenance/management The place was dirty The cleaning service did not even start the dishwasher Went to get a glass to have with dinner, fully loaded with dirty dishes There was blood on the bathroom wall There was some sort of ring around the toilet There was a wet wadded up towel in the restroom drawer YUCK! Then the maintenance, the door handle to the bathroom just came off in my hand, WHAT? The lock on the back door would not budge, so we slept with one eye open all night in case of an intruder The linens were scratchy and smelled horribly of BLEACH!! So strong, my eyes watered Again, this place is gorgeous and has so much potential, if only it had a manager that cared 🙁

The hotel and location are wonderful by it has become run down I have stayed in the past and it is not the same We arrived late as we had notified them

We received misinformation on where to park which made it more difficult to get to the room In the suite there was a garbage can filled with garbage, lots of odds and ends on the floor had not been vaccummed, coffee pot with broken handle The front desk was closed, so we went down in the morning to explain the problems and they said it would be taken care When we return it had not been cleaned at all! They cleaned it while we went out to dinner The furniture is stained and everything need paint and cleaning Hard to recommend it

Strange set up We can only access our suite through the parking garage Spacious apartment but sparse amenities

No hangers! No towel racks Poor coffee setup There is no real lobby No fresh coffee in the morning and no list of nearby restaurants which is essentialGrab bars in the bathrooms would be very helpful!!
