This place does a lot of little things extra which made the stay even better Best AC in any hotel I’ve been to (worked, not loud, didn’t turn off in the middle of the night) Best hotel shower in a long time

Rooms are big & quiet Beds are comfortable Pond with fish was smallish but very pretty & nice to leisurely walk Staff are above ave with customer service Breakfast was super safe b/c they serve Breakfast is in pretty, spacious room with a view Drive there was super easy Neighborhood felt very safe Lots of parking Gift shop could be improved significantly Price was good for what you get Definitely would stay here again!

We stayed here overnight I ordered a steak and prawns via room service The steak was prepared well and quickly delivered

Unfortunately, the food was delivered in plastic containers without proper silverware They supplied a miniature very cheap cheesy plastic fork and knife to cut and eat the steak Think the lowest quality that can be found I went to my car to get a pocket knife and a more substantial plastic fork I felt this was very wrong and quite unacceptable The room was clean but the coffee maker had mold in the water reservoir but this was happily corrected by the staff Breakfast in the morning was included The price of the room seemed a bit high for a Best Western yet the experience for an overnight stay was not appreciably better than a regular Best Western Perhaps if stayed longer we might have appreciated the laundry or other facilities We have another trip in a few weeks and we will look for a more economical Best Western along Highway 5

I love this hotel! My husband and I stayed here over 8 years ago, and I remembered that I liked it, so I booked it for this weekend trip The king-sized bed room with a sofa bed was the perfect size for my husband, daughter, and I to stay for the night as we made our return trip home It is immaculate from the entryway, hallways, and the guest room

Breakfast is served to guests due to Covid protocols, but it was hot with lots of options, and the server was very friendly I will absolutely return here on any future trips that involve a stay near Salem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it

Everything was good until the last day The toilet clogged up I had it flowing everywhere I finally got it unclogged the maid’s banged on the door 3 times during my stay, while the do not disturb sign was up, it wasn’t even 11 o’clock yet and she’s banging on my door when the do not disturb sign on the last day

I stayed there for 4 days and spent $600 I should have gotten more choice rewards points!” next time I’ll stay at quality inn where they reward my stay and it’s substantially less in priceyou get more points they don’t Bang on your door with the dod sign up Very loud partying in the room next door I would like a refund for the last day when the door was pounded onthe toilet overflowedand the neighbors were partying all night But I know that won’t happen!

Slab Express

I have stayed here many time and out our employees here too Trent is always great during check in has cookies ready, friendly, and reads our portfolio read with my service dog when I come in Also the breakfast is great quality and they have a milk chiller

I would recommend this property when you are in town or driving thru Stay away from Salem

Sarah is a new employee and working the front desk She was very upbeat and very accommodating The manager came out and she was on her game as well

I’m so glad that they lifted the mask mandate as they were struggling with those stupid things on under the idiot Democrat Governor they have in Oregon and the more dingy President we have in DC They seemed happy to have regulations lifted which is all about all of our freedom The hotel room was clean and accommodating and the breakfast is over the top Great meal choices

Jennifer Benner

Worst hotel experience ever Starts with a terrible location surrounded by traffic on all sides and some kind of Styrofoam all over the rooms floor Got a room with a jacuzzi so we could soak and relax, literally 2 towels in the whole room

No extras in the shower area, no place to hang wet ones Got the tub half full, no more hot water No hot water for the duration of the stay, couldn’t even take a shower in the AM which we were desperately relying on as we are waiting for our home shower to be fixedTV kept turning it’s self off and on till we finally just went to bedToilet clogged & had to be repeatedly flushed after each use So much for that water conservation they are pushing by not doing daily laundryThen there was some kind of emergency and a front desk employee literally opened our door and walked into our room while we were in bed at 730 AM to tell us we had to exit the building Luckily we were awake and dressed and had been out, hence the door not being latched There was no reason to enter the room, a knock and info or call would have been sufficientAt the end an insignificant 25% discount, which in no way made up for the aweful night, no apology for the inconvenience just a rude front desk worker who said we should be glad no one was hurt🤷‍♀️Would not recommend, will never go back

Doug Quist

Service was excellent with very helpful front desk, housekeeping and breakfast roomDownside was no daily cleaning, which was OK for us since we had a bit of a cold, so less stress about being disturbedWorst things were the smell in our room (128) and even more annoying was very poor (NO COVERAGE) in the bedroom, other than some limited connections from McDonald’s

Boo!

clean hotel and friendly staff this hotel definitely have truck parking but if you’re in a semi truck please call before you arrive so they can point you to where they allow truck parking I didn’t get up early enough for breakfast so i can’t comment on that

Pool seem really big and open as of now I definitely enjoyed my stay nice size room with fridge and microwave I do think the pressure of shower head is weak but other that it’s extremely clean I definitely would stay again

Stephanie

I’ve stayed here twice with vastly different experiences My first room was comfortable, quiet and well-furnished The next time I came I stayed in a room with furnishings that can only be described as spartan (see accompanying photo- it felt like being in time-out to sit and eat in the room

), and a weird noise in the walls during the day The weird noise in the walls was seriously irritating- bit the front desk did not offer me a different room I could also hear doors slamming up and down the hall Housekeeping was great and the breakfast is pretty tasty every day The bacon is the best of any hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long while I haven’t decided if I’ll stay here again- it’ll be a nice stay if I can get a room similar to the first one

Sarah0428 Guthrie

I had the WORST experience of my life here Me, my two year old daughter, my 7 year old, his friend, and my autistic 11 year old got trapped in the elevator for over thirty minutes They could not get it open so the fire department came who also could not get it open for what felt like forever

When they finally got it open they had to pull us out from the top My autistic child screamed the entire time that we were going to die Elevators are his biggest fear and he will never ride in one again The front desk said sorry it wasn’t their fault and offered NO Discount, no refund, nothing They offered back the incidental $$ that we were going to get back anyway I missed my husbands entire first game of his tournament (the reason we were even in Albany) and my child suffered the entire rest of the trip begging not to ne made to go back in there The fact that they took no responsibility for this or didn’t offer any sort of refund or discount makes me extremely frustrated We always choose holiday inn and have never been treated so bad by a hotel before We will never ever stay here again If you have a huge issue and your children are trapped for thirty minutes against their will, you willl not get any sort of reimbursment here Don’t recommend supporting this awful place ever!!

Life is better on the Lake!I lived here for a year and loved it!!!!!!! I cannot recommend a stay here enough- whether short term or long- you’ll love itIt was so special to be able to wake up in the morning to walk across the street and take a stroll along the Foster Lake- if you kayak or fish it is possible simply carry your kayak or fishing pole across the street and go into the water In the summer there is a pleathra of blackberries to eat and it is so gorgeous in the fall when the leaves are changing

The pool they have on site is always clean & PERFECT to cool off in the hot summer Also Green Peter is just a short drive around the cornerGenerally they nip any noise complaints or rowdy / rude campers in the bud Everyone who staying here is able to relax I never had an issue There is a bar next door that sometimes plays live music late into the night buuuuuut I actually enjoyed being able to listen to the music happenings in a small town (plus you can walk to get a drink & fried chicken anytime you want)The staff is TOTALLY 💯 nice 😎- they stay on top about keeping the park clean and make sure your stay is enjoyableIf you like to be a little bit off the beaten path, smack dab in the middle of nature, just a short drive to restaurants/grocery stores- I highly recommend checking out this spot Especially if you are able to their long term condo apartments like I was (they only have two)do not pass the opportunity to live here! I had to move out of state otherwise I would still be living my life on Foster Lake 💙 🚤

Lizzy Dotson

The “resort” itself was nice and clean It is right on the highway and next to a mill so there is that noise, but it’s across from Foster Lake so its a very pretty view The spots are nice and big

The manager was extremely rude to us and our children We will not be coming again to stay here because of our interactions with her If you have children I would recommend staying somewhere else It seems to be more of a place for older adults,

A clean and accommodating RV park However, I called to inquire about the rate for one night, I was told $5108

I asked if that included tax, Cindy said “yes” After the stay, I checked my bank account I was charged $5210 I know, first World problems Just buyer beware While we enjoyed are stay, I would be remiss not to mention that the lever to exit the bathroom near the office has a teany tiny lever to open the door I was trapped in the restroom for a few minutes, needing to pound on the door, hoping that someone would hear my call for help Please, Blue Ox, work on this
