I had a lovely 5 day stay here for a conference Very convenient location, close to convention center, gaslamp district and Trolley stops right in frontMy room on the upper floor had incredible views

Bed was super comfortable and the linens and everything felt very clean All the staff I interacted with were super friendly and helpful Great stay and would definitely stay again!

Welt Reisender

The staff were all very nice and attentive We asked the valet for recommendations on the local sights and sounds They were always enthusiastic and we went to a few spots they recommended and they were spot on

Front desk crew were always friendly and we felt like even though it’s a large resort, the staff always made it feel like you were the only person staying there The room was nice and the view was beautiful The hotel has a bridge that connects to Petco Park stadium and it’s located in downtown across from the convention center It’s a nice place to come back to at the end of a long day of sight seeing I’d recommend staying here if you’re from out of townDefinitely will visit again!

The check in process was very quick and simple We used their valet services for $38 which goes until 3:00 PM the next day It is equivalent to the ace parking next door if not cheaper

The room was very clean and reflective of updates and refurbishments as well as them keeping quite a bit original from 1912 Very cool! Our room had everything we needed in our kitchen cabinets Utensils, plates, microwave, mini fridge etcThe bathroom was very cleanWe absolutely loved our little window nook! It has a cushion to sit on at the window and see the view of the gas lampThe location was excellent we accessed several restaurants, clubs, and really anything you need within a short walkOver all a great experience, we experienced no outside noise while we were here which had mixed reviews when we were searching for a place to stayThey even left a happy birthday print out note for my friend which I requested upon arrival! So so sweet, she loved it! Thank you!

Elisabeth Hawkins

The building is so beautiful and everyone we met was so nice (even when they were a little salty they were pretty funny) They were also very accommodating I’m always freezing and they brought me a blanket

Sounds dumb but it was really appreciated We had a view of the whole city from our room and even if you don’t the rooftop view was amazing They didn’t have dining while we were there so we ordered in but it was still romantic It’s so close to every possible restaurant you could wantSide note, I left my prescription glasses behind and staff were so wonderful making sure I got them back to Washington!

La-Shawna Young

I would highly recommend GPS! Upon arrival I was informed that my room had been upgraded but wasn’t ready yet I was surprised to hear of the upgrade and had no problem waiting for it! They stowed my luggage which was lovely, I was able to explore glaslamp while I waited for my room The room was beautiful and came with everything you’d expect a suite to have

Mary at the front desk is an absolute treasure! She was a ray of light! Honestly everyone that I encountered during my stay was friendly and helpful I would stay again without hesitation 10/10

Stayed there for 3 nights with a couple of friends The room we were in was a bit small, particularly the sink area, but it seemed clean and was otherwise reasonably appointed The breakfast is quite good with delicious cinnamon rolls and a pancake machine that makes 2 pancakes for you in about a minute

Lots of food and other shopping options within walking distance Easy access to highways to get to where you might want to go in San Diego About 15 minutes drive to the airport

Kelvin Woods

Very convenient to the cites, airport, naval base, and trolley The service I received was very helpful and polite The breakfast was hands down a true spread of food and tasted great

The bedroom was completely comfortable with a bed and a couch that converts to a bed if you have extra guest The TV could have been a little bigger but was properly sized and swiveled so that the angle was perfect for viewing at the desk, couch, bed, or sink area I had a good view of the area from the 4th floor window and from the stair balcony at the end of the hallway I will visit this location again on my next visit

James G

Rats inside the hotel Floors were stained and dirty Mold was pervasive and the floors feel rotted below the carpets

The dirt and grime from the air conditioning units can be seen even on the outside of the hotel–if you have any sensitivity, you will have trouble breathing Only one elevator was working and sometimes none were working Parking is extremely difficult, even in a compact car The pool is smaller than the room and only a few guests can use it at one time The breakfast was extremely underwhelming The hotel charged my card 4 times for the room, and the charges are still pending

This hotel and property were nice and very warm and inviting feeling We’d stay again All the staff was so friendly and genuine, we loved that! The rooms were clean and our king bed was comfortable!Only cons were there is no breakfast and our floor did reek of weed the first night, which was off-putting as the lobby smelt amazing

It also was a little south of SD We thought it might be a little closer but we aren’t from there so didn’t know Not far at all just not right by it

Eric Yanagihara

Seems newer or remodeled Our double queen room was well cleaned and smelled fresh Plenty of towels

Air conditioning was relatively quiet and cooled our room quickly Be aware that the hotel is pet friendly, so you may hear the occasional bark(ing) No breakfast service, but there is a restaurant next door on the same property (no discount for hotel guests)Conveniently located to the 5 North & South on-ramps Ample parking during our visit in mid JulyBottom line, would definitely stay here again

Stu Turner

Wow! It looks newly renovated, everything is beautiful It’s very large, almost 500 rooms I’m in room 420 with a balcony- it’s a bit of a walk to get to the room but the room is spacious and spotless

I brought my pillows jic but this bed and it’s pillows were perfect so I didn’t need them The air is great, you can either set the thermostat or just turn it on There is a small gym, the pool and spa are open No continental breakfast but there are a ton of restaurants just right around the corner, one even right outside the front door The whole place smells great too This will be my regular hotel from now on

My stay at this resort hotel was great the guest and valet are very pleasant they always “welcome you back “ the rooms are clean , has a full kitchen with a fridge and freezer , free Wi-Fi , and it is free to do laundry which is a plus There is a gym with basic equipment, I wish there was better air ventilation, and sanitizing wipes available in the gym to wipe off equipment after use The ceilings are low so don’t try to do tricks with the jump rope

There is also a sauna, and women’s shower in the gym area as well

The hotel itself is LOVELY! Our studio (with 2 kids) was only a little tight but it had everything we needed The space is actually good for 2 adults and 2 under-10s; see the photo for the pull out couch Immaculate cleaning and the mini-kitchen was fantastic

Strong wi-fi I was NOT pleased with the BR set up (Not enough strategically-placed hooks; does Wyndham not take showers??) No W/D in units but excellent basement service was complimentary Not far at all from the train or bus line A PRONTO card makes everything easier! Also, the Circuit app is very, very helpfulHoweverThe location is lovely but economic downturn is reflected on every street We’ve no qualm with this butbe discreet You don’t need to announce your expendable income, which the WRISTBANDS shout out hard Explore MTS etc before your plane lands! We had a room that was co-joined to another There is no bufferthe other family was LOUD, even at 1am There needs to be more insulation to those doors Additionally, the push for the sales presentation was PUSHY We never said nojust let us get in the room to settle the kids and enjoy a bottle of Pinot Nope, nope, the experience was obnoxious

My wife & I stayed at the Andaz as part of our honeymoon, and I was blown away with the attention to detail, respect for loyalty, and luxury Hyatt has created hereIt started at check in with a great, responsive front desk & valet team Offered a free alcoholic beverage

Of all the hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon, this was the only one who did something special (and left us an entire bottle of champagne!) The room we stayed in was spacious and on the top floor Rooftop is beautiful and gives great views of the city (great place to get some work done during the day)The two cons people mention is the noise & the parking cost The location is essentially the cause of both of these, so don’t go into it with false expectations You’re staying at one of the most expensive and popular parts of San Diego, right across from many popular bars (check out Coin-Op) Things were loud, particularly on the weekends, but the hotel gives you a white noise machine and ear plugs Bars get quiet around 10-11 on weekdays and 12-1 on weekends, but we’re night owls and weren’t bothered much The hotel is a sexy (shower had a glass viewing wall into the bedroom), modern place to spend a few nights around a popular nightlife district — not a family-centered, quiet part of town

Ashish Lal

We had a great stay at the Andaz All of the staff were really attentive, friendly, and professional The rooftop was a nice place to start or end your day with pretty good drinks (esp for a hotel bar)

The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean They also treat World of Hyatt members well The biggest downside was the noise at night due to the hotel’s location It’s located in Gaslamp and the bars around the hotel blast music very loud

Michael Anders

The good: centrally located, friendly manager to help address issuesThe bad: First room the A/C was broken and the fans sounded like birds chirping, second room was the loudest street noise I’ve ever heard from a hotel room It was on the 5th floor so I can only imagine how loud it would be on the lower floors You know your windows don’t insulate any noise at all when they need to offer ear plugs in every room

And yes, is the part of the city busy and loud? Of course it is But I live in a loud part of San Francisco and my windows actually insulate noise well It is possible to do if you have good windowsThird room I was moved to was a handicapped room That’s fine I guess, I needed a quiet place to stay with a functioning A/C (I know, so much to ask for) But in that room, the shower didn’t have hot water for 15 minutes so they had to repair that tooAll in all, this was far from a luxury hotel experience The manager Emelina was very nice and tried to make the most of these bad circumstances But the hotel is in need of some major upgrades and is far from the Hyatt standard I am used to

This is by far our best experience At first it was kind of hard to find the lobby and the hotel was more secure than other hotels we’ve stayed in, but there was a purpose to that which you’ll learn about if you do the guided tour at the hotel concierge desk Our room was not that big but the beds are very comfortable

This hotel is very rich in history Highly recommended to experience this history for yourself and your family Even the kids really enjoyed the guided tour, it was very informative Our tour guide knew a lot about this hotel We will definitely come back again in the future

Rolando Jaimez

We stayed here during Comic Con 2022 and had a wonderful time The hotel itself is gorgeous Everyone that we encountered that worked there were so nice and helpful

We had a really great breakfast one morning and enjoyed the lounge in the eveningThe hotel itself was situated close to everything in the Gaslamp and about 15 minute walk to the convention center There were also a few cafes really close for a quick breakfast on our way in the morningThe hotel was so nice to come back to each night It was quiet and the room was so comfortable The bed was amazing and I loved the toiletriesI would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat

I stayed with these folks twice, between June 2012 and October 2012 It was a difficult visit, as I was attending a funeral for the latter trip My stay was made much easier thanks to the fine hospitality of these folks

Their location is within walking distance of the zoo, a veteran’s museum and an artists’ village If you walk in the other direction to Hillcrest, you have easy access to all manner of restaurants, shopping and other conveniencesEach room is unique So far, I’ve stayed at Sweet Cycles and the Southwest The common courtyard area is something to see I enjoyed spending my mornings there If you are a weary traveler and have the hotel blues, try this place I intend to make this Inn my go-to place whenever I visit San Diego

Lea Kissner

These two stars are for the location, which is excellent if you want to walk to Balboa Park and to an area with food/shopping The hotel itself gets one starIt is quite clean, but not really nice

That’s fine, but it also smells oddly bad, especially if you turn on the heater/air conditioning unit, which smells *extremely* strongly like someone peed in it (which would have required some serious acrobatics, so I doubt it’s actually the case)While we were there, the plumbing broke and we had no water at all for hours, then no hot water for a day We decided to leave a day early because of this and the owners would not refund that day or provide any other consideration

First off, the price per night is nowhere near the service you can expect The rates are about double the price of a 4 or 5 star hotel in the heart of downtown SDBoth nights my room was so hot that I had to sleep with the windows open which is pretty unacceptable, as the staff, who is nowhere to be found, was well aware the AC was not working before our stay, yet never informed us until we were finally able to find someone to tell them that the room was over 90 degrees the entire stay

Nonetheless, you are better off staying elsewhere like an actual 4 or 5 star hotel for half the rates you they are charging and can expect to receive way better service

We LOVED having our wedding here I spent more hours on the knot than I want to admit looking for a place that was more special than just another hotel or golf course wedding This was a new venue so it was hidden in the results but I’m sooo glad we found it

Ben was super helpful in working with our budget so that we could could have our dream dayNoban cooked “some of the best salmon I have had in my life” as my husband told everyone Our guests all raved about the food- and they had a personal server for us that night so we actually got to eat the food!Aly was beyond organized and on top of everything She took care of everything and did it in such a composed manor that she calmed me of any stress I might haveBernie is the best He took care of us and our overnight guests and always had a smile on his face He was sooo helpful in our set up and preparations the day before and cleaning up the day afterThe venue itself is amazing The details that went into the remodel are really impressive A lot of time and love were put into this house and it shows Having the house all weekend was just the best We had our rehearsal there the day before with a taco stand and got to spend the evening with our close family relaxing and enjoying time together I got to sleep in and roll out of bed and up to the 3rd floor’s secret room behind the bookshelf to get my hair and makeup done I already felt comfortable in the house and it kept my stress level so low It was great that after the wedding we could hang around with our family and not worry about packing up or forgetting things there because we could deal with it all the next dayI cannot begin to express how perfect of a venue this is They take care of you and really allow you to enjoy your day at such a special and unique place

We can’t thank The Britt Scripps Manor in San Diego, CA enough for the most incredible wedding day My wife and I wanted an intimate Victorian themed wedding and a murder mystery rehearsal dinner In 3 months, this team put together our murder mystery rehearsal dinner, 50-person ceremony/reception and executed it flawlessly

We are SO happy with the choice we made hosting our special day there! Our wedding was nothing short of “happily ever after” with the breathtaking backdrop of the tree overlooking the manor All of our family and friends who attended absolutely loved it They raved about the picturesque ceremony site, the glamorous and classy interior, the delicious food, our signature drinks, the friendly service and the overall ambiance Working with both the management and the crew was fine We couldn’t have been more pleased with the incredible service provided by Louisa, the coordinator, Keegan, the property manager, and Jesse, the chef I felt completely at ease with Louisa being in charge of our entire event from start to finish Their whole team put our dream wedding together in 3 months They answered all of my questions thoroughly and in a timely manner I can’t recommend her and the Britt Scripps Manor enough! Thank you for making our special day a memory we will treasure for a lifetime!

Great location! You can walk to a bunch of great restaurants after a long work day! Grab breakfast right around the corner at this cute little place called the lazy hippo and go out for drinks in the evening to catch up with coworkers outside of a work environment My husband joined me part way through the trip and we were able to go on walks around the beautiful convention center Absolutely loved the service too! I have never met such genuinely kind staff; even to the gal who I asked to make a key card for my husband at 9:00 pm

Genuinely kind human beings who made the stay 10X better I worked in customer service for a long time and I can appreciate anyone who can work that kind of shift and still have a smile on their face and make you feel welcome I wish that I grabbed her name so that I could mention it but whoever was working on Friday, February 26th, you are fantastic and thank you for the hard work that you put inComfortable beds Waterfall shower head Comfortable atmosphere Great place to stay! Thank you, I will definitely be staying with you again in the future

Chic hotel in a great location at the start of Fifth Avenue Rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia throughout and a cool vibePlenty of in-house bar and restaurant options

Very friendly, attentive staff and well-appointed, comfortable bedroomThe rooftop pool is only on the fourth floor, so the view isn’t as great as you might expect Also it’s a little small It does however have a nice seating area and a barOverall a great experience; would recommend

I stayed for a night over the weekend since my husband and I both got Juneteenth off on Monday Everything went well until the next day as we got ready to check out The water wasn’t working for the toilet and the sink so without that we couldn’t do anything

I called the concierge about the problem, and they said they would call us back for an update After 40 minutes, no one called us, so I had to call again for an update They said the water is expected to be available at 11:30 and has extended our check-out time to 1 pm And then we waited until 11:50, and still no water Therefore, we had no choice but to leave the hotel feeling uncomfortable and not refreshed As we encountered another couple in the elevator, they mentioned that their water was fine for their room, so it wasn’t the entire hotel that was out of water This is my first time staying at a hotel that doesn’t have water running available for guests It just showed their maintenance team isn’t up to the standard I better not see any extra charges on my bill for this issue!

This is my favorite hotel in San Diego 135 years old and original facade, this hotel is charming inside add out Excellent service to boot! The courtyard is beautiful

Call before you book and ask for a balcony room Our room, 226 had a fireplace and balcony over the courtyard as well as a large window on the street side Breakfast and brunch is awesome!! Food is delicious I’m sure dinner is also wonderful Make sure you see all the historical photographs on the wall up the staircase on the west side The bar is so cool with gorgeous hand carved wood and comfortable tables in front of The Palace fireplace A must see in San Diego Ask about the hotel’s history It’s so colorful!

The lobby is spectacular, very beautiful but my room look outdated but in a charming way I booked the junior suite with wet bar It was very spacious

It had a sitting area which included a sofa bed The bed was high which was a plus for me The views was not so great from my room The only thing that was outside my balcony, window was another building Parking was 50 dollars for valet or else you would have to park a couple of blocks away Location was in downtown next to the nightlife and walking distance for food The bar/restaurant located in the hotel was exquisite The food and drinks delicious

Our first night we were in one of the suites in the back, which was nice but bigger than we needed and a bit dark Alex at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting us into a room that suited us better, checking back in on us and letting us know that one of the courtyard rooms was available the second day We switched to that and it was great – a lovely little balcony on the courtyard, lots of light, a good desk (important, since this was partly a working trip), and nice cozy decor

Thank you again Alex!

Excellent Marriott property and well maintained All staff very friendly and helpful Nice common areas and lots of

places to sit and relax throughout the property Pool was nice with plenty of chairs, towels and was very clean Front desk staff including the manager were extremely accommodating to me and very professional I arrived very early in the morning and didn’t expect to be able to check in, but just asked to be able to check in whenever they had something available They were so accommodating and actually found a room within the hour around 10am Awesome!! Great thing is this Marriott had the Elite lounge open and well stocked drinks and snacks Complementary breakfast daily as well Nice touch was a seltzer bar in the lounge with coffee and tea machine as well Only negative here is the rooms have hardwood floors that are not kept clean Not sure if they don’t have the correct vacuum cleaners or what, but the floors had other people’s hair all over the place It was pretty gross actually and my socks were covered with debris from the floor Walls had blood splattered on themas well Low pile rugs are a better option and easier to vacuum using the upright vacuum they use Anyway, I would still recommend this hotel, but just beware that you must wear slippers or setting on your feet at all times in the room unless you want other people’s hair on your feet!

We stayed here for the first time last weekend and we were very pleasantly surprised how much we loved it The rooms were clean and great The staff was super friendly! While we ate breakfast there, a couple of the staff members really stood out

We were greeted by Dee and we watched as she chatted and made sure all the guests were happy and enjoying their meals Our server was JC and he was excellent Let’s not forget the front desk either They were all super helpful Especially Anna! We will be coming back very soon!!!

Our stay was good and could have been better for 5 starsHere are few things that can be improved:- no room service done even after requesting a day in advance It was done later after when we came back and had to call front desk multiple times- after room service was done, coffee supplies were not refilled- used glasses were not replaced- trash from the bin was not removed- no chairs in the balcony- lastly not a deal breaker but a hot tub around the pool was missing

We stayed at this location this last week in July It was busy and also a perfect place for family Pool is great and big size too, great for kids

They have a restaurant located right next to it and market in hotel for quick snacks The hotel front desk associate Sabrina was so amazing with customer service She went out of her way when we checked in to give us info for places to order food Also places to visit with the family It’s nice to be at a spot with the family and have the easy access to great employees like her!! Thank you Sabrina and thank you Sheraton forMaking it easy !!

Room was pretty small, bathroom was still a bit dirty Air conditioner didn’t work great Cable went out around 8pm and never came back on that I noticed before bed and wasn’t on in the morning

Hot tub out of order We used points to stay and then they were going to charge $300 for an additional night The bed was comfortable but really that’s it Breakfast was $20 a person, also had to pay for parking Definitely not worth it here

Hotel has nice curb appeal Price was reasonable for a Sheraton We had to continually ask for enough towels for 4 people in the room(yes each of us want to bathe with our own towels) The rooms had only 2 electrical outlets that worked properly

The hairdryer gave me a nice electrical bolt(medical bill is forthcoming) and the heater did not work until they came and flipped a switch inside the heating unit to work Something about guest convience Would I stay there again? Probably, BUT I WILL DEMAND A REFUND IF THINGS ARE THIS BAD Being shocked by their items I would think would include an apology and some kind of comp

Although nestled in a somewhat questionable downtown area, this property is beyond amazing The front desk staff, even during the busiest of hours, are always friendly and helpful They greeted us with a smile and recognized our rewards membership status

Even though 1 of the 2 rooms were not ready yet, they were still on top of communications, making sure to update us We were in SD celebrating my moms big birthday and they were kind of enough to upgrade her room She was ecstatic, the room was gorgeous and amazing view Everything was clean and comfortable We will definitely stay here again

Nice place to stay downtown The only bad thing, that it was downtown Not too romantic if you’re going for a romantic getaway

But will definitely try their other locations Great hospitality and caring staff! Room was decent but the bed headboard was dirty and stained Wish I would have had a good view, but again it’s downtown And FYI, the price for valet is worth every dime! Being in Customer Service, the entire staff gave 5-Star service!!!

Chris Schweighart

We spent a night here during the holidays and we loved it Very well decorated and festive, yet in a modern and classy way The lobby is spacious with plenty of options for seating, and the elevators right next to the check-in desk

The rooms are updated and cozy, with low beds and comfy sheets Our bathroom was renovated and very nice too I liked having a balcony with a view of the pool and downtown area The desk / office space was nice too although the TV was small considering its distance from the bed The complimentary adult beverages at Happy Hour, and free coffee and tea in the morning, are a nice bonusserved in the swanky bar / restaurant adjacent to the lobby The location in the heart of downtown San Diego is great toovery easy to walk everywhere, but street parking is tough so be prepared to use valet overnight (which is very expensive) Overall, however, this is a high quality hotel with plenty of amenities

I travel frequently and have come to really appreciate customer service wherever I stay It makes a difference how the front desk staff receives their guests because first impressions matter and sets the tone Portia checked me in, thanked me for being a Platinum member and was very friendly

She told me about the hotel and for me to let her know if I need any assistanceThe hotel is clean and modern The room was well appointed and looks like the photos on the website The bed and pillows were very comfortable The only issue I had with the room are the thin walls which became apparent late at night or 3am in the morning I was in room 420 and I could hear loud footsteps from the unit above, kids running in the hall and the neighbor’s door opening & slamming shut Random noise isn’t a deal breaker for me because the pros outweigh this but it might be a concern for those who need quietAlthough the breakfast options were basic and not particularly delicious, I appreciate that bacon was offered

Jorge Garza

excellent location! great staff! I was not bothered by noises from the highway Breakfast is ok for being complimentary The rooms were very nice and clean

The bathroom has no lock which may be an inconvenience for some families But overall I am very satisfied with my stay of 5 nights I will stay here again next time without any second thoughts

Ryan Poley

Great location and friendly customer service! The room was gorgeous and the bathroom was split: shower and sink in one; toilet and sink in another Very convenient! Microwave, mini fridge, and comfortable couch was also great features We didn’t get a chance to try the pool but it looked great! No jacuzzi though – but the pool is heated

I just bought a brand new EV and t they have four EV chargers in front of their building They do not manage these stations (ChargePoint does) As of this weekend, I could charge for the first four hours for free! Then it switches to paid charging I took advantage of this by charging for a few hours at night before going to bed 👍The breakfast food was great too!The bed was very firm but the pillows were super soft We will definitely consider staying here again for another trip!

My family and I had a great stay here From the minute we pulled up the valet came out and helped us unload our luggage Check in was easy and we stayed in an absolutely gorgeous suite on the sixth floor

The hotel is in a historic building and it was nice to see the history of the building as you walk around The only thing I did not really like is how they try to rope you into a timeshare presentation Granted if you attended the presentation, which we did, they waived the valet fees and gave you a seven day stay in any of their hotels Aside from that everything was fantastic I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful lobby, great theme, and presumably very fun parties Unfortunately the rooms (at least the one we stayed in) are at most adequate Scant hot water in the showers, no soundproofing (which is especially bad when the rooms overlook common spaces and there are parties held), and when we arrived the toilet was clogged

The staff were immensely nice, but we also had to ask three times to get someone to come in with a plunger Overall, it was a cheap enough option and it wasn’t unsafe at all but it also wasn’t an ideal room to stay in

Katie Spencer

Unfortunately the other reviews claiming the rooms do not match what is portrayed on their website is accurate (at least for our short stay) the hotel lobby and pool area are very cute and the staff is incredible but once you leave the retro lobby it starts to go downhill quick The hallways have stains on their walls and carpet The two rooms we saw were decorated with beige stained walls, stained and smelly brown carpet and old sticky furniture

the walls are paper thin, the bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned and the rooms themselves had never been dusted The frustration is the price point of this hotel is way too high for the quality of the rooms My guess is the rooms by the pools are nicer The hotel was very helpful and nice enough to confirm a full refund for our three night stay The two stars is solely based on how nice the staff is and communication was seamless

Beth B

Definitely a BIG NO The rooms are dirty and in need of a great deal of maintenance Walls are dirty, shower as well

The drapes on the window were ripped The art on the wall, frames were damaged The towels need to be gathered up and thrown away The mattress was old and wore out I made the mistake of walking barefoot in the room once, the bottom of my feet were completely black I tried to use the pool, the tiles were slimy Apparently they charge $20 a day for the public to use the pool So at any given time there are a ton of loud people and kids in the pool Definitely not as described when you book it I would have rather spent more money to have an enjoyable stay anywhere else I made the mistake of booking this place based on the description and should have done my homework and read the reviews

Well I don’t know where to start Came in from out of town to just get awayWe called customer service to go to the Hilton on Mission Valley by the mall and as we drove to the location given it was mission valley stadium and did not match the pictures

As we checked in the front desk told us immediately if we switched hotels we still will be charged for three days because we needed to give 24 hours Mind you the reservation was made the same day Not understanding why a simple switch could not be made as we noticed a whole homeless camp in the back parking lot Called customer or corporate line to ask if we could switch and the customer service agent said why did we choose this hotel and not what we wanted as we explained to her we are from out of town and did not know we would of been deceived After telling us she needed to hear the tape to see if we made the mistake or the employee made the mistake Agent was rude and only listened to provide a response and not one of a customer service agent When asked if we could speak to her manager she replied she doesn’t have a manager as we called the top leave of service for Hilton and she was the boss My reply everyone answers to someone and she said she was the top and will send us an investigation As we were on the phone my husband noticed Hilton deducted 202200 from his credit card This was mentioned to top level phone agent and her reply was that wasn’t her concern as she is only focusing if we made the mistake of choosing the wrong hotel We immediately called front desk to make them aware and a male staff member hung up after being confronted about that amount and we called back and a female staff member acknowledged she was aware and they are working on it and it will be refunded in 24 hours 2 days later money was not returned and we were quoted 59400 There were no light bulbs in two of the lamps and a light bulb missing on one of mini reading lamps We don’t smoke and it reeked of stale cigarettes There was dried blood on the sheets Also we had to call the front desk to ask for new wash clothes and clean sheets as no one bothered to clean our room Tomorrow is our check out 4/21/2922 just in case there is a lie to justify the stealing of 2 grand Very disappointed in how this makes the Hilton name to become tarnished

Jill Galbraith

I am giving 4 stars because the good outweighs the badNear many restaurants and stores The only disabled parking spot they have is large

Extremely helpful staff, especially midnight clerk and GM Good food at the restaurant Putting restaurant tab on hotel bill was extremely convenient Nice selection in the store Clean in the common areas and rooms Nice amenities in rooms and lobby The pool was beautiful and the workout room was excellent and very well equipped The guest safes were convenient and a lifesaverHuge homeless camp behind hotel, so tons of foot traffic through the driveway Delivery trucks block driveway throughout the day No coffee available after 10am No lunch at restaurantLots of small things broken in the rooms, but manager took the problems seriously and repairs were made promptly Minor issue with one of the elevators, and the ice machine on the 2nd floor is broken, loud and leakingWe would definitely stay again due to the staff’s commitment to our comfort, convenience, and security

San Xiong

This is the worst Hilton in San Diego, CA The way they took the angle of the hotel looks clean and big but once we arrived, the area is a dump, squash between Jack in the Box like this hotel was in the back alley

in which it is On the outside parking in the rear, you will see homeless encampment It is not safe and be aware that the camera inside the garage only have one view take and make sure you park once you enter the garageif you go further to where you are heading out, there is no camera in which that the camera angle only the entrance and not the other side The elevator and the hallway to any floors smell and has no air condition No complimentary breakfast in which they will charge you $2100 per person We told the front desk, we do not want serviceand they come anyway This place only looks good in the front main entrance to check in but the room are terriblepower outlet do not work, no fan vent in the restroom, and trust methey will try to charge you extra fees Parking is $1500 a night but you see other encampment RV park inside and they did not even care We only put friend family pet in the room for a min of 30 minutes and were charge $7500 for a service fee Stay away from this place and rent the one by the waterfront Other customer that slept during those days we stay said their bathroom was clogged and none of the maintenance did not care We have pay a premium during our stay in July of 2022and it was the worst stay At least have a security on duty patrolling the parking Have extra hotel luggage cart We have ask many time and they said they do not have it, in which we found out they only have 3 cart throughout the hotel in which we were lucking that one of the customer gave it to us down in the basement parking I would not come back to this placeI have seen many customer just walk across the alley to other restaurant to buy breakfast every morning It is a sad location and they need to disclose it online so everyone should be aware of booking it Be aware, check Google map 3d and you will thank me! Going back to lower end of other hotel that offer better service, complimentary, and care about customer spending these nights there
