This RV Park got a new makeover and new management not long ago and hasn’t been the same since! Way more slots and space for your RV The owners are very accommodating and friendly It’s very close to town, but sits on several acres of land tucked away from all the noise

Definitely would recommend for long term stay or a quick visit stopping through!

Good stay in an unexpected place The room was nice and spacious The woman that cooks the breakfast every morning was awesome

I saw her have a conversation with every guest that came in to eat breakfast She was genuinely concerned about our stay and about the food we were eating, requesting our feedback on everything She talked to us more than the woman who checked us in She’s the face that guests need to see when they walk through the door

Very nice hotel, in the southern suburbs of Lufkin This hotel is great for business travelers, that have business in Lufkin Although not a large hotel, it does have all the Hilton hotel amenities, that you can expect from Hampton Inn and suites

The front desk clerk at check-in was very polite, friendly, and accommodating She made sure that we had everything that we needed and was very pleasant Thank you Hampton Inn and suites, it was great visit

I stayed in an upgraded king with balcony Overall the hotel is nice enough Room was spacious but dirty

It could definitely use a good cleaning Shower did not drain very well so you stand in used water while showeringI’ve never been to a hotel where they start cleaning rooms at 9am on the weekend That doesn’t make much sense since most people are still getting put together for the day Housekeeping walked in on me while I was in my underwear, didn’t appreciate the invasion of privacyThe ceiling fan was LOUD and unusable since nobody could reach the chains to adjust the speedThe pool was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned in awhile

Nice spacious rooms but no TV Guide, you have to flip through channels like the 90s AC gets nice and cold Pool is a plus and the breakfast is terrific, if you get up to early you might miss it though

Bring quarters if you wash clothes they have old coin washers from the 90s and you have to drive around town to find coins They can’t give you coins with a card from the front desk either, not making this up 🤷🏼‍♂️

Don’t stay here if you are a first responder Or just a general worker, for that matter Maggie at the front desk looked down on on everyone that didn’t show up in a nice car

then when we show up with our police escorts for a super load she was nothing but problematic We as a company will never stay at this location again along with 20+ Texas country sheriff’s

I have to say this was the absolute dirtiest room I have ever rented or stayed in in my entire lifeThe pictures on their website of the rooms and of the entire property are very deceiving

It was quite obvious that the room had not been dusted, there was trash behind the dresser that wasn’t removed, and the bathtub was horrifyingThe bedding was stained and dingyThe pool was completely green and I was informed that they were going to have to fix a crack in the bottom of it however that was not on the website so I was disappointed we were not able to swimThe price was definitely good but I would not have stayed here if I would have known the rooms and entire property look the way it didIt is my opinion that paying twice as much for a clean room would have been the better decisionIt is in a great location and the front desk help was very nice and helpfulIf you’re looking for somewhere to stay with your family I would not recommend this hotel

This was absolutely, by far, the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at!!We had a total of 6 rooms and they were all disgusting to say the least!Just a few of our issues in our rooms—- there was what appeared to be either chili or vomit splattered on the picture over one of the beds, along with various splatters of food (we hope it was food!) on the walls There was something that was either coffee (or feces) running down the wall in 2 places Mildew on the grout and shower curtains

Hair and even dried blood on some of our sheets, hair on toilets and in the tubs In one of our rooms the AC leaked so a good portion of the carpet was wet There was no way you could walk without shoes in the rooms as the carpet was sticky The freezer portion of my mini fridge was was covered in frost and some sort of yellow stain— that again, I pray was not some sort of bodily fluid** feel free to “enjoy” a few of our attached pictures**We were there for a convention and had several young girls with us— there was someone standing right outside by their room smoking a joint Many grown men standing around outside drinking and even following our church van and stopping their truck to stare at our girls— made for a very uncomfortable situation for themUnfortunately, all the hotels in the area were booked due to the convention and we were stuck thereI could go on an on but you get the picture! The girls up front and the housekeeper was super nice but the manager, PK, was extremely rude!I asked that he come to my room to address these issues and he continually put me off but eventually showed up when I continued to insist The housekeeper did her best to scrub the stuff form the wall and the picture but it wasn’t coming off — must have been there a whileI insisted on a refund for my room and was initially told “No” because I had stayed in the room but after much “discussion”, I was issued a refund but was told I would not be able to ever stay there again… like I would want to!!I truly felt sorry for our kids who had worked hard to raise money to go to the convention and then have to stay in those conditionsOverall, just a HORRIBLE experience!

I have to say … staff seemed friendly… good location to town However , it is clear this hotel is not up to standards The roomed are poorly maintained and the floors need sweeping and a good moping

Picked up bugs on the floors and sanitized our own toilet our way The bed was comfortableThis hotel could be really nice with a little effort

One of the best hotels in Lufkin Great location, always clean, quiet, and pet friendly I grew up here and this is my go-to hotel every time I visit

During my last stay, the hotel staff and managers helped me solve an issue that honestly they didn’t have to help me solve It was a scheduling issue of my own mistake But they went out of there way, which I really appreciated Easy five stars

Staying at this hotel was probably one of my best recent experiences The breakfast was good and I liked that we were left to do our own thing I hate when employees constantly have eyes on you

Here, you felt like you were in your own home almost The shower, the beds, the AC, everything was to my liking I’m definitely staying here again when I visit Lufkin

I stayed at this hotel on a regular basis while working out in the oil field with Schlumberger The hotel and staff were always on point! They always greeted me and my crew, took great care of our needs, and always made sure our rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and bedding This hotel was very clean and always very clean

Customer service from staff especially from a front staff member named Victoria was one of the best experiences I have encountered in my many travels Thank you for always making us feel welcomed !

I am not a huge fan of Courtyard’s but this was the worse Marriott property I have ever been to Even the lower end brands in the Marriott family are better than this property They do not upkeep it at all

Tiles cracked, mold in showers, rude staff, bugs in my bathroom, the wall is water logged by the ice maker on the 3rd floor — imagine the mold in the wall It is HORRIBLE I have never stayed at a Motel 6 but I imagine it has to be better than this place NEVER EVER EVER STAY HERE!!! We have pictures of it all

Eve tell

Bugs in my 2nd floor bathroom Was offered for someone to come spray or move to another room If there is a bug in 1 room I’m sure it will be in another room

Then I was offered breakfast in the morning I ended up just getting 25 dollars of my stay To me it was gross, to the manager I talked to she stated it wasn’t the kind of roach that means they are unsanitary it was the kind that live in the surrounding trees and are able to get in Wow I felt much better after that explanation (Not!) To late at night to go to another hotel and she never once offered a full refund so that I had that choice I’m staying the night and I am positive I will still have to pay in the morning I will never stay here again

We saw the park while driving and pulled in and they charged us $2 for making an online reservation! It was just ok for an overnight stay, 1 step above a Walmart parking lot Zero amenities except a fenced area for dogs & hook ups Very unlevel sites, no shower house, nothing

I thought $25-$30 would have been the right price (even on the high side), but it was $44, OUCH!

I got a new job & couldn’t find a place to live for a month & a half after my start date We found TGLRVP online, & it was the biggest blessing! I truly loved my time there & was sad to leave The owners went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, & I felt more than safe the entire time

If you’re thinking about staying in the area, I HIGHLY recommend The Good Life RV Park! You will not regret it

The reservation in name of Hampton Took my brother and I an hour to get our motorhome level enough to be able to use it The outside steps so high from ground, we have trouble getting in out and that’s because we had to use several pads and wheel ramps to get a half decent level

So nononono will never stay here again I will soften this review, the owner was very concerned with our problem, phoned us to apologize and would have given us a different lot had we called and we should have but so frustrated at time I posted……so perhaps give the park another chance knowing some of sites are unlevel
