You get what you pay for We were passing through and stayed for just a night because it was affordable and the amenities looked nice We got into the room and it was ok, the furnishings were dated and the air quality in the room was bad, moist is the best way I can think of to describe it

Just about every amenity advertised online was closed, the pool was drained and had trash sitting in it and the complementary breakfast was a sad bagged grab n go Also, there were bugs in our bathroom, ick! Front desk service was also lacking, not very friendly or accommodating Overall, our stay was adequate, the rooms were decently clean and the bed was comfortable; it just wasn’t what we expected from the Sonesta brand Oh! And look out for the 250$ incidental fee upon checkout! What’s up with that?

Charles Gannon

What makes a hotel truly excellent is not determined with the instant quality of a stay, but the determination and skill to correct potential flaws We got to this Sonesta, found several mechanical problems and believed there were bedbugs in our sheets The hotel’s resident life-saver Dalal, jumped in with both feet to fix EVERYTHING

Immediately relocated to another suite, bedding checked by pest elimination service (NO bedbugs; just small black plastic dots that fooled all of us!) Net effect on our stay; two hours of relocation, through which we were kept fully apprised, and the comfort of knowing that we were going to be well taken care of Most responsible and engaged staff of any hotel I’ve stayed in over the past twenty years

Mary Taylor

I would have given 0 stars if I could Pool was closed, but full of swampy smelling water with trash in it The lobby smelled like sewer gas

Definitely not handicap friendly The room had bugs as well as 2 live wasps in it Dusty in areas of the room We had to check out within 5 minutes of being there The checker said she could not give us a checkout receipt We had her write a hand written one stating we checked out immediately We had 2 rooms and had to pay $50000 down in case of any incidents Horrible experience all the way around and have traveled alot Worst place I ever stayed!

I really enjoyed the hotel and its proximity to Main Street St Charles The room had high ceilings, plenty of space for 2, and it was clean

The included breakfast was enjoyable (I really appreciated the waffle maker) I did not use the pool, but I did attempt the fitness center I was a little disappointed that there were no free-weights/dumbbells at all and the room was very very humid and warm (it was right above the pool, so maybe that’s why?) Otherwise, it’s a great little hotel! Staff was always friendly!

Kim K

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it never has disappointed us This stay was no exception The staff, from check in until departure, was extremely friendly

Our room was clean and provided everything we needed Breakfast was very enjoyable It included eggs, meat, waffles, etc each morning There were even gluten free bagels and dairy free milk options Ample parking is available With Main Street St Charles right outside the door, this location is ideal for shopping in the area

Matthew Boley

This is a good hotel The rooms are nice and comparable to other hotels in the area It sits along the historic downtown area on the laid brick streets of St

Charles There’s a nice wooden staircase in the lobby of the hotel and I was able to make use of the laundry facilities while I stayed A quality experienceA warning to amorous travellers: the rooms do not muffle loud noises

Every single staff member was amazing! We stayed here for 3 nights Sherry the breakfast hostess went above and beyond to make sure we were happy She greeted us Every morning with a smile and a happy attitude she asked us how was our stay and if there was anything she could do to make our stay better

Sherry offered her assistance for things to do in the area My mom just had surgery a few weeks prior and she offered to carry our breakfast tray to our room I woke up and it was nice that she treated us like family Definitely 5 stars, I would stay here again in a heartbeat 💓thank you!!!! Great job Sherry you r what Marriott hotels need in each and every establishment

Jim Rasmussen

Waited too long for service at front desk 1 girl working and 3 employees socially chatting in the back office while tired customers languishedRoom nice but musty

Nasty cracked floor in showerI like the location Near the freeway and restaurants but not a busy ugly street and in a green neighborhoodBreakfast items had good fresh healthy items but the hot items were the prefab heavily processed kind The breakfast burrito was surprisingly good once I finally freed it from its factory wrapping

Dville Schwalay

Horrible customer service! We found needles under the mattress forthe second time Once this year and last year I believe it to be the same room! The only difference this second time is that there was no sense of them trying to keep our business or make things right

They didn’t apologize, offer another room accommodation, or anything Oddly, they didn’t seem surprise and didn’t even have anyone come check out the room for themself They only said it maybe take a couple of days for us to receive our refund for our reservation stay We will not come back!

Dave Skorupski

Well-designed hotel facility offering spacious rooms, pool-area and other amenitiesThere is a large breakfast area, as well as a fully-stocked bar area available, should you be so inclinedI only gave three stars for service since I stayed two nights and there was no daily re-stocking of coffee or general room clean-up

Maybe I needed to request it, but given the cost of rooms, I expected moreOtherwise, the rooms are nice, the beds comfortable, TV is available and the bathroom area was well-maintained So kudos there! The hotel connects to the Westport Village area, and is easily accessible

Greg Wright

Me and my wife were in town for the weekend Stayed at holiday inn the first night but decided to get a lil more luxurious room the second night Looked fancy and nice in the lobby, but the room was not clean, was not stocked with toiletries or coffee, there was even paint all over the wallpaper from where they had painted the ceiling

No complimentary breakfast either, and all I heard all night was the elevator going up and down Like staying next to the airport lol This room was twice the price of the holiday inn express room we stayed in the night prior but the cheaper room was way nicer Not worth the money here

Tyra Marieza

The room was roomy, we wished for a separate sleeping room, but this was an all in one stay Beds in the same room, no separate kitchenette or living room space No free breakfast

No new renovations Tubs could afford a facelift Actually the whole bathroom The rooms are definitely not anywhere near sound proof The people that stayed next to us could hear all the hissy fits and cranky toddler whines of our youngest child The staff is friendly and professional Nice outdoor area to sit and relax Near a lot of fastfood restaurants For the cost though, we’ve stayed at better Not one that would be my first pick, but not bad enough to be my last pick either

Beth Anne

My kids really loved this place! The breakfast was good and we’ve never stayed anywhere (that isn’t a large resort) with a fire pit and basketball court The pool was closed but there was a nearby sister hotel that was allowing use of their pool (we didn’t go, but it was an option) The rooms were comfortable and the employees were very friendly

The lady working in the evening/night was so nice and helpful! If we ever come back to St Louis we will definitely stay here again

Bob

The breakfast staff was attentive and there was a good variety The pool was nice and cleanThey did throw out my son’s shirt, which he should have gone down quicker to check on it

He left it in the pool area right around the time the pool closed, we were just surprised they threw it out instead of having it in lost and found There were stains on the furniture in the room, the room wasn’t set up for the correct number of guests There were no sheets for the pull out, and no shower gel in the dispenser in the bathroom, and not enough towels As Spire Elite members, our family spends a lot of time in hotels Wasn’t our best experience with a Staybridge, but we would give this location another chance

Sandra Hunter

Staybridge is our go to place when we travel However this visit was horrible Check in was suppose to be at 3pm we couldn’t until the room had been was inspected

which was fine The problem was we waited almost an hiur Once we checked into our room there was a hole in the bedroom ceiling The cabinet in the kitchen was off the hinges, the carpet was dirty with several spots The pull out couch was dirty and disgusting The mattress had so many spots and so much trash under the cushions and couch When we brought the issues to the front desk there reply was I’m not surprised Not sorry or let me see how we can make your stay better Needless to say we were very unhappy and disappointed

Super large room Very quiet and comfortable Impressive wide open atrium with the pool in the middle, surrounded by the bar, restaurant, and dining area, so if you’re self-conscious in your swimsuit, you may suffer some anxiety swimming

We did the stay on the way to the airport thing with long-term parking at the hotel Security monitoring of the parking lot, shuttle was prompt, and drivers were helpful and courteous I am very satisfied with our stay I will visit again when staying in St Louis

Haley Owens

Booked this hotel since I have stayed at a handful of Crown Plaza’s and they are always very nice, clean hotels For starters, getting to this hotel is a NIGHTMARE, especially at night It is RIGHT off the interchange with not a whole lot of signage

When we pulled up to the hotel, there were a few cars of guests in the unloading zone arguing, and they remained there for the about 20-30 minutes while we checked in The hotel inside is definitely dated, but not horrible When we got to our room, it wasn’t anything super impressive but I was here for a work trip, so wasn’t expecting anything super lux There were a couple of guests (assuming, never saw them go in a room) just wondering the halls while we were getting into our room and it just felt super uncomfortable since they watched us each time we got off the elevator and went to our room One even stood right outside the little area where the ice machine was blocking us in for no reason at one point The toilet ran ALL night, LOUDLY Beds were pretty rough and the AC was having a hard time keeping up with how hot it was But again, pretty standard of an airport hotelOverall, facilities are dated, but what really made it lose stars was the “environment” for lack of better words I didn’t feel safe and felt like anyone could walk off the street and just roam the halls

JaMar Jefferson

Our stay at the Crown Plaza was EXCELLENT!! We had a small leak issue in our room, but the ladies at the front desk were very efficient in assisting us And we were upgraded Our kids had the opportunity to swim, and enjoy themselves and the food was good

But, the best part was the bar in the lobby and the bartender Joy! She was AMAZING!!! She makes the best drinks, remembers EVERYONE’S name and made us feel right at home My wife and I loved her We will definitely stay again when we have the opportunity!

We rented this room last minute a for our Girl Scout Troop Sleepover and it was great Mrs Rubie housekeeping staff is top notch, the rooms are clean and fresh People walking around cleaning all day and everyone was so pleasant and personable

Everyone smiles and greets you, there was never a rude worker in that building Then boom the breakfast was Amazing and Ms Rhonda and staff made sure the food stocked and stayed fresh I truly enjoyed the stay and just the staff made the whole atmosphere so welcoming I will definitely be back!!! Keep up the AMAZING work!!!

Bee Charintorn

Nice, clean and spacious room with a very comfortable bed! This is a pretty new hotel with a decent section of breakfast buffetA good size of swimming pool and nice gym area for our whole family There is a small mini golf area at the back of hotel with a seating area for adults to enjoy drinks while watching kids or teens play mini golf or throw the ball

We brought our two dogs (pay additional fee to hotel) One of our dog made friend with a black cat that is walking outside the hotel There is a good amount of lawn for dogs to walk aroundWe would definitely stay here again when we are here in St Louis!

LaTonya Johnson

The room was dirty Chairs had brown stains, the desk chair had spots The only thing they did was change sheets & left clean towels

The carpet was not clean & dirty floors & dirty microwave oven The quiet hours & fitness center were the only benefit There is a complimentary breakfast, but it is not that good and not many options if you eat healthy Lastly, the worse part of all the boilers went out and no one said anything I called the front desk & he said “these things can happen anywhere” Well I have never been at a hotel in my entire lifetime without hot water Imagine wanting to shower & wash you hair with no hot water!! Hilton should be ashamed of this establishment and can do much better or close it down Save your money the Mariott Suites are much nicer This place is over priced as well The rooms are outdated to, look old, & need renovations I will never stay here again or refer anyone here The worst business stay ever

I had made a reservation with this hotel and made me pay $320 more than I already had paid I experienced discrimination, racism, and they also said that I should get a different hotel because this hotel was to expensive for me Overall I wouldn’t recommend getting any rooms from here unless you are OK with discrimination, racism, and making you feel like you are worthless and judging you

M B

$200 for a room that is no better than a Best Western It was very disappointing I only stayed here because it was close by, and I needed a room for a night

No, my wife wasn’t mad at me I just had a few drinks and wasn’t going to drive anywhere Anyway, $200 is cheaper than a DWI, but this room was definitely not worth then price you’d pay for it

Vittoria Logli Real Estate Agent Glenview, IL

Ellen L. Stanclift

I stayed here while traveling cross country with my dog The staff was VERY sweet and the location was excellent There were just a few things that were concerning

the suite had a very strong bleach smell—it was almost nauseating and the room needed airing out The room was nowhere near the pool, but it smelled like an indoor pool Additionally, the grounds/facilities were immaculate and well cared for, but there were some very unsavory characters just sort of hanging around, making it a bit dodgy to go out and walk my dog I stayed as close to my room as I could, as a result Finally, the hotel does not provide any coffee in the morning, which was disappointing It really should I was told that I could make coffee in my roombut really, a hotel should provide coffee to guests

Kelissee Garrett

The hotel was nice, the rooms were very clean The beds were comfy and checking in the workers were very niceOnce I got my room key, it was connected to the wrong room, so I had to go back, and it ended up being an easy fix

The room was 80 degrees when we got in there, we called about the air and they said it was working, so we stayed the first night The second day it got up to 85 in the room, they had Maintenace come to the room, and he said he wasn’t authorized to work on the unit, and we had to wait until the next day which was not acceptable Unfortunately, they didn’t have any rooms for us to transfer to and we had to check outchecking out I had to wait 25 minutes in line because only one person was available, and it was very busy

Liz Grose

Beware – they dropped our group of reservations and did not reach out to let us know until we called to confirm We had made these reservations approx 3 months in advance and received confirmation numbers According to the front desk, this hotel was recently bought out by another company and lost a large group of reservations when the systems switched over

Luckily we called to confirm and found out before we got there but still have to scramble to find new reservations on our own two days before our stay! They offered no compensation and did not attempt to help us find a new place It’s probably a nice hotel but Reserve at your own risk and call to confirm multiple times to be safe!

Nice place to stay Service was good Easy check-in/check-out

Lots of fun sitting areas The courtyard area was nice at night and would’ve been better if it wasn’t so hot outside First floor residents have door access to the courtyard and all rooms have a balcony which was great Key card readers were a little unintuitive but I got in eventually – probably user error

Carrie Huntley

I’ve stayed at this Courtyard many times prior to the pandemic and always had a wonderful experience It has changed drastically The room was not clean nor was the hotel

The staff were not engaged at all and the front staff were always on their phones and did not acknowledge you In addition, I went to go get a second coffee and breakfast this morning before leaving It was 9:35 and they had closed earlyI will not stay there again

Denise Arland

We stayed with our travel sports team and had a great weekend If you are staying soon you may want to know some things are closed, like the pool and bistro, for renovation right now However, we did not want to leave without saying the service we received was outstanding! We especially enjoyed John and Emily on the evening shift

They were extremely accommodating for anything we needed We used a meeting room, and John checked on us several times to be sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything Their friendly and enthusiastic service made our stay a memorable one!

Hotel was okay Not the worst but for the price the rooms could be more up to date and more well kept When you first walk in you are expecting more from the rooms because the overall experience when you first walk is great

Hotel lobby, bar area and pool is very well kept The gym and pool are absolutely amazing The restaurant for food was very expensive No free breakfast The staff was friendly Our room closet door was broken, the shower was very hard to work, the TV worked at first but the longer you had it on it would go dark and you couldn’t see it

We were traveling and wanted a park and fly Upon initial contact with the hotel, my husband was told parking would be free up to 9days When we got there we were informed it would be $10 per night

While awaiting our check in Someone came from the pool asking about lighting (9pm) they were told there is none It’s all natural 😆 🤣 then once we got to our room the remote wouldn’t work 3 remotes later it finally worked The gentleman at the desk literally brought it to us the last time Drinks in the bar were $8 each The toilet also didnt flush correctly Staff was very nice and hospitable but that’s about the only good thing we experienced here We will not be back

When I arrived I was given a room quickly and efficiently Thats about it The front hallways are not mopped and there are fingerprints on the windows

The room smelled like sewage along with the hallways The TV, mirrors, etc had been wiped down with wet rags so you could see a filmy residueI requested a different room and it smelled like rotten eggs and urine by the end table next to the bed The phone looked burned, end tables dirty and tub had mold (Pics provided)The hotel advertises that it has a restaurant but it was closed downI was moved to a third room and everything seemed fine until I opened the closet There were dirty, wet towels hanging that were left by the previous guest (Pic provided)I called the front desk and asked if the staff here were on Crack? He said no, of course🤥It was late so I decided to stay and also there were no other hotels in the area that were any nicer I’m glad my company paid for this

Photos online and the 40/5 rating are very deceiving Hotel rooms are much more run down than you’d think

When we arrived, the toilet was filthy and covered in feces We had to call the front desk to get it cleaned, which they did very promptly Later, we realized why this happened as the toilet stopped flushing properly and water kept backing up in the bowl Everything else was fine but as a whole, the hotel probably needs a renovation soon

Very helpful staff: ESPECIALLY the young lady who worked maybe the 3p-11p shift She was extremely sweet and patient (I traveled with my (2) young daughters and she always assisted us effortlessly) The woman who worked the shift after her (absolutely loved her vibe!) was very empathetic and attentive when it came to personally addressing issues that arose in the middle of the night

She was both prompt and proficient Last, but certainly not least, was a woman there during the morning shift who was beyond understanding and pleasant She graciously assisted me at check-out in a professional, reasonable and eloquent manner—addressing a few inconveniences during my stay The sheer professionalism and customer care these women provide are the ONLY reason why my review is a 5 and not a 3 or lower Great customer service is near extinction, but you’re guaranteed that and a clean, comfortable room if you stay here

Nice hotel, staff was helpful, 6 minutes from the nearest Walmart/small shopping & eating area, 8 minutes from the airport, 25-30 minutes from downtown Double bedroom had nice kitchen/dining area, 2 nice sized bedrooms & 2 baths (looks just like the pictures) There’s only a McDonalds/Gas station right near the hotel

Outdoor patio area and grill available, mini market (a bit costly), Pool, small gym and basketball court Breakfast was self-serve and had a pretty good varietyThe only down side is that the rooms are a little warm I couldn’t tel if the air was flowing or not

It was my first time to Saint Louis, and I was disappointed with the entire trip I checked in to this hotel I’m a titanium member with Marriott

This property seemed like I went back in time This place never had a renovation I was immediately taking back and was ready to leave At this point, they need to close down to have a complete renovation This is definitely not up to Marriott standards This place is the first of everything the Tvs, the beds, the carpet, the refrigerator, and the bathroom It was disgusting how old and outdated this place isThe customer service was not good either I would think if your hotel is very outdated The customer service should be exceptionalI’m definitely not used to places like this being a titanium member with Marriott I will never return to the hotel This property makes the Marriott brand look terrible It’s definitely a no star and thumbs down for me

Unhappy experience SMELLY ROOM!! housekeeper & Management fault!! A clean room doesn’t matter if carpet order is Offensive and unacceptable! Everthing else was great but the very offensive carpet odor in my room Spoiled Everything They are very Very very very very veryCheap to not properly replace old disgusting smelling room carpetsThey could care less about your stay

They know room stink like smelly socks Very sadi asked for another room but said weren’t any Probably all stink like gross body odor They probably haven’t replaced for years, it was very disappointing to a so-called reputable chain I should have a full refund no questions asked and willing to take this down It’s a real shame as you could have a great location but if ROOM CARPET SMELLS awful like bad body odor smelly socks The housekeeping says nothing If I ever likely ever return getting another gross smelling room you will give a full refund plus a free nightgross it ruins the night Spend some money and replace carpets!!!! Get your reputation back!*If you can make this up with full compensation I will remove this review
