I stayed here for one night and flew in kind of late A lovely man greeted me at the gate and checked me in He was very nice and gave me a whole rundown of the place

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel type place If you have never stayed at a historic place before you’ll might be surprised However given the age of the house, it is well kept up Linens are clean, shower was spotless, and hot water! The walls are a little thin but the other guests were quiet and I had no issues sleeping There is breakfast but I left too early to enjoy it Overall a good experience I definitely recommend trying it out for an authentic Victorian house feel!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when i booked this room, because the reviews were so mixed But I’m not sure some reviewers knew what they were booking This is not a chain hotel with pristine rooms and full amenities

Think “visiting my friend in NOLA with a couple spare rooms in their grandma’s house”It’s a house that’s almost 200 years old It has window units for heat/ac, paint is peeling, the bathroom doors don’t always latch It’s not maintained like a fancy old country club – but they’re also not charging country club pricesI’ve seen some complaints about the size and quality of the TV’s- if you’re going to watch TV in the hotel room, what are you even doing in NOLA?Very convenient to public transit and lots of great bars and restaurants within walking distance as well It also felt pretty safe to walk the neighborhoodBreakfast was good, continental style Fresh king cake every morning, a selection of bagels and breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, plus a hot dish on weekendsThe staff here really shines and that’s something you just don’t get at chain hotels Everyone is super helpful and welcoming with lots of great information about the town and how to get around It really felt like we were treated as friends from the time we checked inFor the price point and location this is a fantastic spot to stay Manage your expectations and enjoy this quirky hidden gem with lots of charm

Allison Hackenmiller

Great location and a neat old building (1841!) Creaky floors and thin walls, but none of that was a problem – just know it’s old! Room was fine and breakfast was varied and ample It’s a block from the streetcar line to the French Quarter, but the streetcars were so full that we walked both ways with no issues

So happy to have secure parking!

Entryway is 😍 great place to take pictures if you’re staying there Check in was fast and efficient even though at first they couldn’t find my reservation they work diligently to take care of it Hotel was very welcoming and accommodating and in a great busy location

I rested in my room well as if it was soundproof, I’m not sure Coffee in the morning at the curbside shop was very beautiful Don’t miss out on taking the coffee out to a lanai that they have there with orange trees‼️ that was very beautiful to look at in the morning I hope to return to this establishment, it felt very warm and welcoming

PROS:Best locationPet friendlyBeautiful lobby and interior balconyNice pool and facilitiesValet parking (additional charge but on par with rates in the area)Young man who checked us in was kind and doing his best to ensure we were set up for a good stayCONS:Bathroom needs to be be cleaner- saw some rust and mold that must be cleaned outHad an issue with the balcony door lock, and while staff tried to help, we got a lot of attitude for whatever reason Sad part is I brought this issue up beforehand (on our first day actually) to the front desk and NOTHING was done The lady at the front told us someone would be up, and no one showed up

The next day, when we were locked out, the staff acted like it was our fault?Phone didn’t work so had to walk down to the lobby to request anythingDesire restaurant downstairs is overrated Packed, rude staff, and dirty Better options in the area for sure I understand there are staff shortages, but this was the worst restaurant we visited the whole time we were in NOLAIf you’re bringing a pet- the hotel’s pet relief area is gross and in an awful corner of their garage next to a bunch of loud machines?! How is anyone, let alone a dog, supposed to use a space like thatNo room service unless requested, no robes, etc Highly doubt anyone would have done anything anywayDefinitely much better hotels in the area within short walking distance Far too pricey for a very underwhelming, less-than-luxurious stay This is on par with a 2 or 3 star hotel but they can get away with it because of location I would recommend looking elsewhere

Maine Girl

Nice lobby, small room – seems old The location is great for Bourbon St We had a balcony room

It was nice for sitting and people watching and listening to music ect However, if you want to sleep after 2am, I don’t suggest this hotel Get one on Canal St They are still close enough to walk to Bourbon and be in the actionbut you will be able to sleep at night It will be quieter We went from a band playing, to a trumpet, to a jazz band and so onThe staff was friendly when we did deal with them There is no room service tho

Ray is a first rate host and the location is ideal!! So many walkable restaurants and Garden District exploration as well as a short walk to the streetcar stops for a quick easy ride to the quarter Ray provides helpful information for transportation and favorite restaurant lists Will recommend to friends and stay our next time in town

Beverlee Keasling

This was by far the most amazing stay I have ever had Not only was the B&B spotless, but it had such a homey feel The hostess was so sweet and provided us with so much info on the best restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc

She even provided me with Taxi numbers when we got stranded downtown in the rain They were literally the best When we make our way back down to New Orleans we WILL stay again

Ashley Miranda

I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I visit Not only is the house itself and its accommodations absolutely beautiful, the hosts are truly wonderful people We felt welcomed and at home right away

I’m no stranger to southern hospitality, but this place takes it to a new level If you want a feel of the soul of New Orleans, don’t miss out on this gem!

Wendy Hiller

We really had a nice stay The hotel is made up of several historical buildings on both sides of the streets The lobby is nice and the staff were fantastic! Our only issue was with a few things in our room

For $200 a night, we might expect the dust ruffle tear to be repaired, the smoke alarm to be fixed to the ceiling and a sink drain that wasn’t clogged Other than those things, our room was nice The beds were very comfortable and we had a little coffee pot, microwave and fridge which was nice Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Lauren Serb

Wasn’t sure what rating I wanted to give this place The staff was wonderful Truly

So helpful and friendly The location was wonderful In the quarter but just far away enough from bourbon st that it’s nice It’s just a shame the quality/condition of the rooms It’s not that they’re dirty (I think the cleaning staff does the best they can with time and what they have to work with), but the rooms need a deep scrub, some paint and a little TLC In fact, so do the courtyards and pools This hotel has the potential to be a seriously cute boutique-type of place But it’s like the owners don’t really want to put the money back into it or something And it’s a shame cause it could be so much more than what it is now especially with the staff they have working for them now

Andrea Acosta

Location was great as you are in the French Quarter but off of the busy party streets Building was old so condition was a bit rough, but they are 200-300 years old So that is to be expected

Beds were comfortable Our room was upgraded I booked about 10 months before and got a great price through Hotelscom Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful With the exception of one night person Gates were locked at night for safety I would be curious to stay somewhere else in a future trip, but would also stay here again

Holly Wood

This place is perfect and I’m shocked at how reasonably priced it was The beds weren’t great and the furniture really needed to be deep cleaned (dirt, dried tomato seeds, mold) but they didn’t have bed bugs There were no bugs at all

The window faced another building directly which was kind of odd, but not horrible At least it HAD a window The location though It’s perfectly placed EVERYTHING is within comfortable walking distance They have a pool They have a safe place for your car Staff are knowledgeable and mostly friendly I couldn’t have asked for a better place honestly

Jordan Kennedy

Dauphine hotel was just okay The staff, especially valet were exceptionally nice The room needs major updating

I was there only one night and knew from past reviews that updates need to be made It even had an old smell to it However, the bathroom had not been cleaned There was hair everywhere, it was very gross The sofa in the room needed to be thrown I believe the original color was beige but it was black Only half of the lights worked The bed was hard but they had great pillows It was very quiet for being close to bourbon Overall I’d be warned that it’s just an okay place I would not stay again

GloriaAnna Rivera

The hotel was great for the price very good location just a block from bourbon street! We enjoyed the ac in our room it was nice to have the room super cold after a hot day I would highly recommend speaking with Jessica at the front desk, she was very helpful in all areas We had conversations like we were long time friends

She recommend the ghost night tour that we did take and it was so fun

Check in and check out was quick and courteous We got lots of friendly advice about the area and riding the street cars from the desk guy (didn’t get his name, but drives a nice ride!) The location is right off St

Charles, right at a streetcar stopso super convenient It’s within walking distance to the WWII Museum and plenty of good food optionsThe room itself stayed cool and had all the basics (microwave, mini fridge, dresser, armoire, TV, etc) Our room has a second bed in a loft which was kind of cool The beds were comfy and we had good night’s sleep The only thing that wasn’t good was the toilet had draining issuesit took several flushes most times We informed one of the cleaners who seemed to already be aware of the issue (room #237); but was not fixed prior to our departure Oh and there’s really not a good view from any of the rooms; which wasn’t a big deal for usContinental breakfast is available and is good for what it is (English muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit cups, etc) Nothing hot thoughWe had a great stay!

D SC

Moderately sized rooms but they had very comfortable beds Not too firm and soft enough for a side sleeper The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our needs

You could hear a little bit of noise through the door but it was quiet and I had no trouble sleepingThe staff was very accommodating when we asked to come back to our room hours later looking for some forgotten earrings They happily went with us to search and we found them!!It has a great location that made the city very accessable via the streetcar It is also near to distilleries and a number of local bars We went to the French quarter, Magazine Street and the Garden District without needing to drive

Aynzley McLaughlin

This place is a little gem hidden back and away from the chaos but close to everything Our room was spacious and comfortable The breakfast was delicious

The front desk had the ability to help make tours and schedule things as well Don’t go here (b/c is a secret) but also do go hear b/c it a wonderful place to stay when you are visiting

Victoria Jones

Check-in was easy and all details were emailed to me the morning of our arrival The decor is modern and spacious and it was perfect for my family The only negative is that there was a bit of hair inside of the bedsheets and I had to throughly inspect/disinfect the beds to remove the traces of hair

I would simply recommend that more emphasis is placed on hair removal during cleaning However, once the hair issue was resolved, my family and I enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable during our stay

Monique DARPY

Very nice apartments Very well located in the business district just a few blocks away from French square Nicely decorated

Only critic the kitchen was poorly equipped in utensils not enough plates, silverware, bowls, no potholders to remove things from the oven and the washing machine only worked on hot water and did not spin well

Joseph Raczynski

Much better than expected Modern, clean rooms living inside a historic building Brick exposed, open, and very well appointed

One semi challenge is the noise from the hallways to the rooms Everything seems to carry into the units, way more than you would think Also, oddly, you can feel the footfalls of people in the hallways while on your couch The boards from the floors must run across the entire building They’ve tried to compensate for this with soft flooring in the hallways

We had a great stay here for two nights after our cruise with only two minor complaints First, we had asked the room to be feather free when we booked AND when we arrived before check in Upon checking in later in the day, we arrived to find feather pillows on the bed

Guest services brought poly pillows quickly upon request The second complaint is probably due to staff shortages, but every light fixture in the entire building needs to be dusted My wife suffers with lots of allergies, and seeing the dust on every lamp and light was worrisome Thankfully, she didn’t have any bad reactions The concierge service was knowledgeable and there is breakfast available until 930am (it was hit or miss – we had one good day and one not so good) The room was spacious, shower was hot, and the AC worked We liked being able to was our laundry from our cruise before heading back home Lyft drivers were always less than 5min away and pizza delivery from local spots was available Great location not far from Bourbon St and other French Quarter sites

Carla C

Stayed 3/4-3/5 Suite was very nice However, the thermostat was limited to 70 degrees

The bedding was hot so we tried to put the AC on 68 so that we could be comfortable to sleep, but temp never got below 70 Also, I asked for a set of towels on our second night They brought up towels that were still wet The proper thing would have been to finish drying them, then deliver the properly dried towels

fernando robles

Loved our experience at the hotel The staff were all so friendly and made our stay easy Everyone was very helpful there and checked to make sure we had what we needed and asked each day how we were doing, and after each time we returned they asked how our trip was

The location was central to everything we wanted to do on our trip and offered suggestions for activities Will definitely stay here on our next visit back

Awesome place to stay

visited Son and Daughter-in-law for weekendwe like to stay on Hotel room due to schedule differenceour first visit to the New Orleans areaThe Alder, great place to staygood beds, excellent staff, clean, walk-in shower, all good we plan on using this as our base in future visitsVery nice restaurants one block from hotel on Ferret street24 hour security, well lite parking area and free parkingThe best in room coffee I have ever hadWe will be back

Elizabeth Felder

Whoever commented within a year to 18 months had to be a friend family member or a paid employee/person to make false statements only to bring business to this hotel People just visit and do a eye assessment yourself as you walk up to the building entering the building the smell walls floors I will not settle for poor treatment

I’m still here for the one night stay Going elsewhere Over a hundred to two hundred a night to stay in a garbage smell hotel I couldn’t sleep almost 6am Getting ready to leave once daylight hits I loved visiting this hotel in the past Me and My daughter put carpet fresh down with a plug-in to help with the order But still paying out of pocket for services should have been completed before my arrival

Steven Duttine, Jr

For $650 for three nights I was expecting room service to tidy the room and replace towels while we were visiting Bourbon street; I guess not We paid ahead before coming and there was a $50 holding fee that would be “refunded” The entry smells moldy, no breakfast even though the website showed pics of some

Parking lot is not wheel chair friendly Beds are very firm and sink fixtures rusty and crooked Parking lot looks to have night security and the view from the balcony is very nice

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a room This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I’m sure! The hotel service and staff were very accommodating We had a family emergency and the hotel management handled everything and made our stay comfortable and carefree Thank you for the very clean room, hotel hospitality, good restaurant food and great customer service I will definitely visit again!!!

dolly Salcedo (Dollface)

Room was clean did have an issue with the toilet first it was leaking then it wouldn’t flush but both issues were resolved the same day Relatively close to everything, did see a lot of homeless people around the park front of hotel, cable car stop and bus stop next to hotel Overall service was good

The pool was open which was great because I had been informed after I had booked that it was closed Do wish the pool was bigger though, it was more of a watering hole size no deeper than 45 feet So there was a family the size of 9 and another group of 3 people and that pretty much took over the pool leaving no actual room for swimming

Rachel Kahler

Our initial room had a clogged sink The staff were super prompt getting maintenance to the room, and when they were unable to fix the sink, they immediately got us a new room The maintenance guys were super helpful in getting us new keys while we gathered our stuff

The bar is a great feature of the hotel The rooms themselves were pretty basic, which was what we expected They were clean and the bed was comfortable However, the toilet was a bit wobbly, which I suspect is due to replacing an old toilet with a slightly different sized one, and one of the bolt holes on the floor was slightly too big or the bolt was loose Also, the shower curtain rod was curved while the tub wasn’t No big deal, but it meant that the curtain tended to slide open on either end The curtain still kept the water in, but it made me a bit paranoid that I was making the floor wet

Lady at front Courtney was so nice and inviting She made us so comfortable She let us check in early and gave us a upgrade second night with a balcony

Amanda at the bar made us some killer good long island teas The trolley stops at your front door everything is close walking distance Perfect location and far enough away from bourbon so you get quite sleep We definitely will be back

Betsy MM

A colleague and I were in NOLA for a conference and landed at this hotel due to rates being incredibly reasonable for a five night stay It is centrally located, super walkable to just about anything and we loved that a Starbucks, Cafe Beignet and the Trolley stop were just steps awayThe front desk staff are ALL incredibly friendly and welcoming

Even with navigating a slew of check-in’s they were all very pleasant I have status with Marriott, so I was able to check into my room at 2PM My colleague was not able to check in until roughly 4:30PM so be aware of the 4PM check-in I imagine if they are short staffed, like the rest of the planet, that would account for even the delay in getting in your room by 4I had a King room, that was plenty big, clean and well decorated with everything in working order My sleep quality was amazing, the AC worked great and the beds/pillows were dreamy My colleague did mention that his room was much smaller than mine, but comfortableWe had a drink at the bar one evening that was deliciously made; plenty of signature NOLA cocktails to choose from We were in and out of the hotel over 5 days and never had any negative experience I would absolutely stay at this hotel again!

Brittany Bowers

Great water pressure and temperature in the shower for those late night showers after Bourbon St Pretty good selection in the market shop in the lobby Didn’t try the on site Bistro or Starbucks while visiting (always woke up too late or arrived back in too late lol) Friendly staff

Shout outs to the night shift front lobby receptionists for being available to let me shop for a late night snack Housekeeping was fantastic as well Room was clean for our 4 night stay

We stayed here after purchasing a discount vacation deal at Cabela’s and you have to at some point go through the timeshare presentation that is about 2-2 1/2 hours long We did not purchaseThe hotel was itself was pretty nice

The room was like a mini apartment almost One bedroom, then a living room area, bathroom and a small kitchen area with dishes providedThe furniture is nice all overCheck out the rooftop patio, it is a nice place to relax, see some of the action down in the street from above and enjoy a drink or 5Some of the stuff is kind of cheaply constructed in the rooms like the towel racks fell constantly because they weren’t measured to be installed right, water pressure in general was not greatThe staff were all amazing and made us feel very welcome during our visit The front desk girls are sweet & hilarious

Frank Maniaci

The room is worth it if you are staying as part of a bluegreen vacation promotional offer The water gets cut off here periodically, but with the area being poor there’s only so much the critical infrastructure can do around here The appliances were cheap and didn’t work well, there was no dishwasher and they expect you to clean up the dishes

They have a sign on the door that says you need to do half of room service’s job for them The room service is barely what’s needed to keep this place going This company is run by shareholders and I really felt like an asset more than a customer here There were bed bugs on my bed too I have stayed in so many cheap hotels, and I have never encountered this before What little staff they had was friendly and the hotel had a historic feel to it Normally I don’t write reviews because I stay in places that are adequate so why give a 3 star review? But this place is a well deserved 1 star

Pat Patterson

Had problems with plumbing Only real warm or hot water available Refrigerator wouldn’t cool properly

Freezer did not work Housekeeping not available yet Called a number of times to pick up bagged trash, no one came Had to take trash to lobbyAll the staff, however, were friendly

We enjoyed our stay The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating Our room was spacious, clean, and getting more towels/washcloths was not an issues

The breakfast was good but nothing out of the ordinary for a continental The only issues was our toilet kept getting stopped up very easily Would definitely stay again the next time we visit NOLA

Great customer service Joe was very helpful and gave us lots of advise of things to do and great places to eat Located only a block from the st Charles street car line

Room was small but very manageable We really enjoyed the first floor access and the outside ambiance Only down falls were the shower could have been cleaner and the room had a musty smell when you first entered We could definitely feel the moisture in the room We turned the ac down and it helped Overall we were very pleased with our stay

My family recently spent one night at this super cute, quaint hotel prior to leaving for a cruise I loved everything about it The rooms are so much more fun than a big chain hotel

My girls stayed in the upper loft and my husband and I slept comfortably in the lower area On the morning of our cruise, we enjoyed the outside breakfast buffet I do think they could benefit by installing some outside ceiling fans to circulate more air The staff was amazing We were gone from the hotel about 20 minutes or so when I received a call saying my daughter had left her wallet in the upstairs loft Her wallet contained her ID (which we HAD to have to get on the ship) and $30000 When we returned to pick it up after much panic it was all there! Very honest and admirable people!

We stayed during the week of April 11 The location can’t be beat; we walked to everything we wanted to visit We bought some snacks from a convenience store a block or two away and made use of our room’s refrigerator

Our room was very clean and well appointed We did need to ask for two more sets of towels, but that was not an issue; there is a sign at check-in that encourages guests to ask for anything they might need The employee who checked us in was very courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable We knew ahead of time we would be paying for either valet parking or using a public lot, so that added charge was not a surprise We were willing to pay a few bucks extra to know that our rental was securely parked I will absolutely stay here again the next time our family is in New Orleans I have zero complaintsthis is a very charming, clean, and convenient hotel

We stayed here on a whim without really reading the other reviews Thank goodness we didn’t read them because we did not have the same experience as many of the recent reviews! The room smells clean and nice The bed is soft and comfortable

The hotel front desk was courteous and friendly The valet parking was easy and professional The bathroom was clean and the toiletries smelled great and worked nicely The shower head had strong pressure The ac was nice and cool Overall an extremely beautiful and historical hotel! Historical hallways with classic low ceiling in the halls opening up to very tall ceiling comfortable roomsThe only small downside was the door is thin so you can hear people passing by in the hallway and can hear muffled versions of what’s going on in others rooms But that’s a minimal issue

We stayed 2/12-2/16/22The hotel is grand and old and feels like it has lots of history despite the modern amenities and updates Tall ceilings in rooms with tile floors that look like hardwood were gorgeous The entire hotel was elegant, inviting, and clean

If you’re not staying on the fourth floor, pop up there for peep at the stone accents and exposed wooden beams They are charming! The staff was helpful and accommodating The only complaint we had was our room keys would deactivate daily They said it was due to new computer systems Apologies were made, new keys issued, it wasn’t a big deal once we expected itAll in all Great hotel, great stay, excellent location!

As soon as you drive up to the location the greeting is warm You have a choice between valet parking or self parking in the garage next door Walking into the foyer has a nice at home feeling

There’s a restaurant to your right, service desk to you left and straight ahead is the elevators and a bar The receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeableThe rooms was clean and very roomy and the King size bed was comfortable Bathroom had a nice sized shower as well!!!!!!There wasn’t day to day room service but if you called they did bring you what you needed

The location is great There was no room service option at this hotel or housekeeping the entire week I was here Necessary electric outlets in my room for laptop work were non functioning

The desk light had no light bulb My hotel reservation was for one king bed and foam pillows; neither of those were honored even though the hotel was the one to contact me to see if I had any specific needs or requests The bar of soap was the size of my thumb and is NOT usable to shower with The breakfast restaurant was $30 for the buffet and the man making the omelettes slathered on a story about how he has not had a day off in 3 weeks and can’t provide for his children and any tips would be appreciated This went on with every customer that entered the buffet area I was here for a full week seminar in this hotel and while the organizers(not affiliated with this hotel in any way) did a great job with 500 tax professionals participating, this hotel overall sucked! I worked in a hotel all through college in Philadelphia and if we hawked customers like this for tips at an already outrageous breakfast price plus tipping the server, we would have been fired on the spot I am an IHG rewards member and this hotel does not deserve to be part of a hotel chain that generally does a good job 5 days in a hotel with NO room service, or towels exchanged is unacceptable Every discussion or question I had for hotel staff about these issues resulted in a NO Oh and did I mention that the room was $270 per night for all this aggravation? Do yourself a favor and stay across the street at the Marriott

No room service for our entire stay (4nights) I had to empty our bins , make our beds , clean the bathroom I asked the housemaid for clean towels on day 3 and she had none

Gave me a few face flannels and two hand towels Eventually I tracked down two fresh bath towels None of this is terrible if the room rate is reduced to reflect the reduced services , however we paid premium prices for a hotel experience and did not received thatNever been in a serviced hotel with no service, ever I’ve stayed in back packer hostels with better cleaning servicesNo complimentary water either The concierge also seemedClueless about tourist options, restaurants and getting to / from JazzfestNot impressed and would not recommend staying at Intercontinental Extremely average hotel experience for 5 star price tag

Clean and well organized The rooms are on the small side but the floor plans are well placed The staff are quick to act on any issues you may have

There is an outdoor pool in the courtyard So bring your suits! Elevators are a bit cramped and only accommodate 4 or so individuals But they are quick and there is not much of a wait time This hotel is PERFECTLY located You are within comfortable walking distance to anywhere in the quarter (3-15min) Absolutely a recommended hotel with fair rates and valet parking so you don’t have to struggle to find parking

Great location first off First impressions of the hotel was, what is that smell??? Never being to NOLA before, I figured out quickly, it’s not the hotel

That being said, I highly recommended Suite 205 If you are good with being in the old part of the building Fantastic set up, comfortable, has historical vibes, bed was firm but good enough for a couple of nights stay And it feels very private with a view of the Turtle enclosure All staff encounter were friendly and helpful

I stayed here with my husband and a friend for 5 nights in June that included Pride weekend The hotel is conveniently located near Bourbon Street in the French Quarter section of New Orleans The price was reasonable and front desk team was friendly

I understand that the property is old but needs some key improvements Our room had few electric outlets which made it challenging when getting ready to go out on the town Storage for clothing was also absentHousekeeping did a nice job on beds but should be trained on ensuring rooms are properly stocked On more than a couple of occasions we had to ask for towels, shampoo, soap, coffee & coffee cups for our in room Keurig coffee maker Another item that was confusing is the hotel listed an amenity for “Dry cleaning Pick up or Landry Valet” We asked about this amenity and no one working at the hotel knew about this service
