Stayed here when we had to take my disabled Mom to the hospital for surgery Although the parking in their garage is limited, they have handicapped parking as well as easy access for people with disabilities (garage area access only) The staff was very accommodating when we had to extend our stay and made it easy for us to stay in the same room even with it being last minute

Staff was very friendly Rooms were spacious with 3 adults We had a room with 2 Queen sized beds Bathroom has sliding door that separates the sink from the toilet and shower There is a mini refrigerator in the room as well as a desk and chair Easy access to plugs to charge cell phones Bathroom comes with full sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash in case you don’t like to pack your own All natural ingredients and you have the option of purchasing your own If you forgot something there is a rather large list of items they can help with including converters for outlets

Loved this hotel Location is right outside Japantown I felt it was a very safe place outside the downtown area but still within walking, public transportation, and ride services

The staff are very friendly and attentive Nick and Ray at the front desk were always pleasant and helpful Room 703 was clean, comfortable, and large enough for 3 of us Free wine hour daily was a bonus I highly recommend this place

Stayed for 2 weeks this June, service was fantastic at all levels Hotel is dated at parts but has great bones and feels very old world Plus points are professional gym, garden and easy access to cable car

Tower rooms offer 2 bedroom suites which are perfect for families and have incredible views Overall highly recommend

Katelyn Smuk

My mom and I had such a great stay Kelsey at the front desk was so friendly and go us into our room right away Juan and William at the bell desk/valet offered us some great recommendations for things to see and some much needed advice on navigating transportation throughout the city

We had Oscar both nights that we ate at the Laurel Court restaurant and he was so kind He never failed to put a smile on our faces It was our first time in San Francisco and the Fairmont San Francisco staff and all of the friendly locals that we met along the way made our trip one to remember We will be back!

Diane E

Gorgeous hotel and location, but unless you are a wedding party bringing in the big $$$ don’t expect great service We needed to ask for items repeatedly, and our elite tier benefits were neglected to be provided until we asked three times During the stay information we requested from staff was confused and later was contradicted by other hotel employees

The hotel seems to lack training of its junior employees or has too much turnover to maintain training standards Confusion reigned during our stayIt’s a lovely place – and the employees were very nice, although often lacking follow through If your expectations are not too high you will enjoy staying here

Gabo S.

The Kabuki was our favorite hotel of several that we experienced in SF, during our last visit The lobby is beautiful, spacious, and functional The gym is in my top5 ever, and I travel a lot, all over the globe

Our room was a suite, which perfectly accommodated us with our two boys The staff in the lobby and the housekeeping employees are tops Also, the coffee in the lobby is better than what you could purchase in most of the local coffee houses; this was a first for me Also, I wasn’t so sure about the location, but it ended up being very central; ideal for our varied agenda I tend to try out new hotels when I travel, BUT, I will definitely repeat at Kabuki

Manuel Schröder

Good things first The Hotel Lobby and Bar is nicely renovated and looks modern and comfyThe Bar finished service at 10pm on a Friday and Saturday night

There is no water in the roomThere are only a few parking spots in front of the hotel They charge 30$ per day, if you come back and there is no spot available, you need to park in a public garage and they charge you another $$$ per hour You pay double If you park in the garage, the hotel staff recommends to take everything out of the car because they crash windows and steal what they find The garage is not safeThe room we booked was described as a high floor The hotel has rooms from floor 4-15 Ours was on floor 5 overlooking the parking and the lobby roofThe interiors of the room are cheaply upgraded to “Japanese style” But most of the furniture is old and a bit run downThe service was helpful and the staff was nice

After one night at the Ritz SF (left early because it was ugly) I changed my plans and came here Best decision / will return At a third of the price, almost everything is better here

It was a huge relief to check into this simple and beautiful corner room with a lovely viewThe room is spacious and the layout is very flexible, so the few pieces of furniture can be rearranged to accommodate various activities such as working, relaxing, or eating foodBased on the google images, some other rooms look like they have more quirky decor Even my room has some strong images on the walls, which could be a positive novelty factor for some people Personally, they make me feel a little weird at night, sometimes giving me a faint feeling that my Korean ancestors are frowning upon me for sleeping under these colonizer motifs, but, otherwise the place is so visually peaceful and easy to dwell inMy only complaint is that the wifi is slow and disconnects often, definitely not good for video callsI appreciate the option to text the front deskParking is convenient and $35 / night (limited spaces, uncovered, no in/out privileges due to limited spots)My room had a mini fridge There is a useful water dispensing machine in the lobby

Highly recommend for weekend get aways and corporate events Would have preferred meeting room Junto to Brio but everything worked out really well! Staff was super friendly, approachable and accommodating Poggio//catering was fabulous! I usually have pretty low expectations for catering provided from a hotel but holy smokes was everyone impressed!

Prasad Srinivasan

Nice location, friendly staff Although we were in the second floor we could get a room with a nice view Public parking, if you find one -:) was cheap compared to many areas in SFO

Since the hotel is centrally located in the heart of Sausalito, we could walk to many of the restaurants nearby and didn’t have to spend time to finding a parking spot

I was traveling with our 9 month old, clearly carrying a rolling suitcase and his stroller Our room was located up a small staircase that required me to leave my baby in my room while I carried his stroller up and down The front desk did not inform me of this obstacle upon arrival so I did not preemptively ask for help and to traverse down to the first floor from the fourth floor with everything in tow to ask for help was too much

There was no elevator to this room, as pictured below Then, later that evening, the elevator broke down and I had to carry my baby down to the first floor from the fourth floor to get my food order While I was waiting for the order, another couple came in with a baby They asked if their room would have a separate seating area with a wall for their infant so they could allow the baby to sleep Kaylee (not sure of the spelling) at the front desk was unable to fully answer this and just said “I think so” She was clearly overwhelmed with other things, so I understand her response that brushed the couple off, but the couple also deserved her time and attention I share this because this is the second family with a baby who stayed the same time I did We were not accommodated at all and were not given complete information at the front desk about our room situationsWe ended up changing hotels for our second night We were not refunded for this second night (we were only requesting second night refund) Very disappointed with the way the hotel did not take ownership for thisI highly recommend staying elsewhere if you are traveling with family or if you need specific accommodations They do not personalize anyone’s experience and there are too many idiosyncrasies in the hotel to overcome

The location is close to a lot of tourist attractions You can walk to unite square, fisherman’s wharf, little Italy and Chinatown Next time I think i will prefer to stay in Hays valley where there seems to be a lot of good restaurants

The service was welcoming and we got our room early but had to wait for the parking lot Unfortunately our car got broken into in the mean while This apparently happens daily or all the time There are lots of signs in the area that tells you not to leave anything in the car but be we had not seen those at the time We were asked if we wanted to bring our stuff into the hotel but said we would just leave them until we could get the car a bit closer It would have been really nice if the hotel then had informed us about the very high risk of someone breaking into the car in that areaThe rooms were clean and the kitchen is well equiptThe feel of the hotel is a bit ‘not modern’

Stephen Tardy

Very convenient location, bus stop/cable car stops right in front of hotel, 2 blocks from Fishermen’s Wharf, 1 block from convenience store, large grocery store 04 miles away, many great restaurants under 05 miles radius, roof top chairs/fantastic view of the Bay including Alcatraz, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets-very romantic, great 1 BR suites w/ loaded amenities, and terrific, happy, customer service orientated staff

We loved, loved, loved our week’s vacation in the City by the Bay

Göran Carlsson

The room was spacious The location was very good The hotel is a good value for San Francisco

Everyone we encountered was very friendly and professional, and the night auditor when we checked in was particularly helpful, engaging, considerate, and informative When we requested changes to our booking a few weeks before arrival, the service by phone was perfectI also like that this hotel is family-owned for generations, not part of a big chain

Cindy Berryman

My husband and I had a 6 night stay in the newer part of the hotel Every single part of our experience here was outstanding Checking in at 1:00 AM was not an issue; and, in fact, the lady who checked us in gave us lots of great information with a positive attitude

We had requested a room away from the vending machines and elevator – we got exactly what we requested We even had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool! The room was roomy, especially the bathroom/vanity area, and the bed was EXTREMELY comfy Plus, the location was just perfect, only a few blocks away from all public transportation! If we ever return to San Francisco, we will definitely stay here again

Jenny Rainbow

Hotel is brilliantly placed, it’s got history but is fresh and modern so you get the best of both with a heap of charm The pool is heated and lovely place to have a moment of calm from the city The staff are AMAZING! Friendly, helpful and human it’s great

My experience at the Hilton Union Square has been flawless I was nervous arriving as I knew the hotel was sold out for this week’s conference Check in was easy and quick, and I received early access to my room

The room was spotless I want to give huge kudos to the housekeeping team – even if I was gone for just a short period of time, they would somehow know I was gone and use that opportunity to clean my room before I came backWith hotels still feeling the effects of the pandemic – especially when it comes to lack of staff – I was truly surprised by how seamless this hotel experience was HIGHLY recommended!!! I will definitely be staying here when I come back to San Francisco

Prince Nyatanga

Enjoyed stay! Views in the rooms are spectacular Smell in the lobby is pleasant, however in the room there was a musty not so welcoming smell Staff was lovely, enjoyed drinks at the lobby and the staff was great there too

Had a drink on the city scape bar one night – views there are just phenomenal!!! Location of hotel is on the edge of the pleasant and not so pleasant area of San Francisco But in general, all good A HUGE plus is that there are a bunch of rental car agencies all within a block away I recommend Hertz greatly – and if you can get an electric car to explore areas around including parks over the Golden Gate Bridge

Bri Hurley

Nice hotel with a pretty lobby and rooftop lounge The room was nice and clean, though I felt like I couldn’t get the temperature in my room cool enough no matter how I set the thermostat The hotel is in a good walking distance to most things

This could be a San Francisco thing or maybe the hotel placement, but it was very glaring that one side of the hotels neighborhood was encouraged to avoid at all costs The hotel was placed in a weird area that could go very scary or very nice The location to near by attractions was nice though if you’re down for walkingI had an excellent view from my room The room was spacious and clean The staff was friendly and helpful as well

At $800 a night, I was hoping for something spectacular Unfortunately, The Battery was mediocre The rooms are beautiful and spacious

But was very disappointed that we weren’t greeted at the entrance and offered to take our bags on the way in nor on the way out We weren’t told anything about what was what and what was available to us In the rooms there are plugs that were on the forefront of technology in the 90’s Not that we were there to watch TV but the television was not a smart television as one would expect for that price No movies or series to catch up on And the towels were old and rough There were delicious chocolate chip cookies though

Even though at this place also I went there to to drop a customer , I got a chance to be invited inside, I’ve been in that place so many times to drop a client but I never thought that is so magnificentyou have to be a member for most of the accommodation but if you have some even that you want to host that is the place Before I thought it is was a small bar but I have a chance to go inside a week ago the only explanation that I have for this place is”A cruise ship parked in the middle of the most beautiful city on earth

This place was AMAZING Service was excellent Everyone very friendly

Beautiful condo, fireplace, master bedroom was what dreams are made of Free coffee in lounge Filtered ph balanced water machine for refillable water bottles Definitely a must stay Oh and shopping and restaurants in building and a short walk away from pier and much more

A dream come true property, this is what service is all about The team at the Fairmont Heritage Place will delight your soulOutstanding 5 star experience

The service was impeccable from all staff members Initially, we only booked for a 2 week stay and kept extending, for another 5 months while we were remodeling our home We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with high end amenities, including a full kitchen and washer and dryer in every residence, which is very difficult to find in San Francisco Along with my family being extremely happy with our stay, our dog had a fabulous time as well, as they are pet friendly and supplied him with a dog bed, dog bowls, and dog treats The doorman loved to give him treats as we would come and goBesides staying in luxury, you are in a prime and safe location, just upstairs from Ghirardelli Square You are also in close walking distance from Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Fort Mason, and the Marina DistrictThe Mustard Terrace was our favorite part of the hotel It has spectacular views of Alcatraz, the bay and the world’s famous Ghirardelli sign above We loved hanging out on the comfy outdoor couches by the fire pit, day or night The hotel also offers a complimentary generous wine and cheese hour every Wednesday and Friday which was a wonderful perkWe can’t thank the entire staff enough who went out of their way to make our stay feel like home I can honestly say, the staff treated everyone like family! A few of them are Marco, Stephen, Aziz, Ryan, YuMi, Jean, Jason, Jeff, Asim, Lucia, Michelle, Johnson, Byron, The housekeeping team, Dallas, Karina, and Sarah And of course the managers Jonathan, Dan, and Jessica

Brandon Milton

We stayed here for two nights to do typical tourist things around San Francisco My family and I loved it! We were four adults (one couple, two singles) and the 2 bedroom apartment was plenty big enough with 2 beds and the sofabed Everything was clean and comfortable

We had a “city view” which faced Polk, but we could still see a bit of the bayWe also enjoyed the lounge areas outside with fire pits – although we couldn’t figure out how to start the fire pit on the second floorThe staff and service were great – everyone was friendly, we never once had to open the hotel’s main door, and we had someone check-in with us every day via text messageThere were only three cons IMO:1 We got lost when first checking in! The main entrance is on North Point/Polk You cannot access the lobby from Ghirardelli Square until you’ve checked in2 I wish the hotel room had some snacks For only two nights, we had a fridge/stove/oven, but no food! If we were staying for longer, we definitely would have grocery shopped3 During our second night (Sunday night), there was some street noise that was very loud and woke us up I think it was trash trucks In general the room had good noise insulation, but for some reason these trucks were LOUD!

Good location, clean, quick and easy check in/out I can see that this would be a nice spot for company retreat or off-site meetings Shower water pressure is one of the worst I’ve experienced – no pressure at all, reminds me of some of the cheap hotels in 3rd world countries

House keeping needs to be requested, which is understandable given current situation but they didn’t provide bottle water

Super Girl

I love everything about the Tiburon lodge and while the rooms are not cheap every single stay has been absolutely wonderful It has a beautiful seaside feel to it with low pile indoor outdoor carpeting, outdoor pool hot tub and super comfy beds and they pet friendly!! Over the years they have welcomed both of my big dogs to come stay with me The Tiburon tavern has such amazing food and sometimes live music and a neat outdoor diningarea

For me coming from a rural area Tiburon itself is an oasis of peaceful calm in the middle of the crazy busy congested Bay area, and that alone is worth the price of admission One time we were there over Christmas and they had a very soulful hometown kind of sing-along caroling tree lighting event downtown that was cool Now you may like to always pick something different to do but Im the sort of person that likes doing what is familiar and only feel happy if I get to stay at the Tiburon Lodge whenever I travel to the San Francisco Bay area and I recommend all my friends stay there too I have so many great memories there over the years and if you have time you can go walk along the bay or go visit The hippy swinging tree on the top of Tiburon, we’ve also hopped on the ferry right there and gone over to Angel Island for a day it’s a great hub point for different activities

My daughter and I stayed here after our Airbnb didn’t work out (it wasn’t private and we didn’t know!) and we were so happy with our choice The room was clean, comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located We also got free parking and the staff was amazing

Everyone was friendly and one person (Tony) was especially helpful when the garage on the main floor was full and he gave us his spot!!

If you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night, the Gables Inn will do If you are looking for an “experience”, I recommend you look elsewhere!Rooms are badly outdated with tons of deferred maintenance Carpet was pretty badly stained in many areas

Very little in the form of amenities hereThe biggest issue for me was the non-existence of their famed “wine & cheese hour” or “delicious continental breakfast” Apparently, they quietly stopped offering these perks sometime in the past few months I re-checked their website and found no mention of wine hour or breakfast — that being said, it is ALL OVER THE INTERNET that they provide a wine reception in the evening and a nice breakfast in the mornings I know the hotel is not responsible for what others post online, but it seems a bit disingenuous to coast off of old reviews When I asked about breakfast, the lady working acted as if it was a ridiculous question… No explanation, no apology, not even a suggestion of somewhere to eat instead It really left a bad taste in my mouth, and next time I visit Sausalito I will be staying somewhere else

Sarah Emery

If I could, I would have stayed longer The Gables is set in the perfect location of town (walkability score 10/10) The staff are so accommodating and delightful

We stayed in the Magnolia Room – more than enough space Equipped a king bed, fireplace, tub with spa jets and a balcony with a beautiful view of the city Do yourself a favor and make a reso’ here

I just found this place to be, okay I didn’t the staff to be overly friendly or supportive, and I personally did not find this place to be worth the price you pay I have found other places to be much more thoughtful and thorough about thinking through many of small details that make a stay pleasant/meaningful

For instance, I arrived to the room and it was set to 78 degrees, which was way too hot for my taste There was no way to cool the room down, given that there was no AC unit and if you opened the window it was next to a very loud outside fan of some kind There was also poor signage to the room I had, and no staff available for support upon arrival (because I arrived somewhat later in the evening around 8:45 pm)I think there could many improvements to make this place worth the stay and price

We were expecting more The room we had booked was “not available” when we arrived, but we heard someone watching a film inside… we were supposed to get a sms with the instructions of the check in because we arrived after 6pm but we didn’t and waited one hour outside Rooms and atmosphere were fine

Hot water came after many several minutes and breakfast was short (fruit and yogurt ok but no bread or solid apart from cereals :S) And no real plates or forks, just plastic and paper ones!!!

Trinity Ostberg

I stayed for two nights and overall I loved it The room I stayed in didn’t have a bathroom, but there were two bathrooms outside of the rooms with showers There were sitting areas with little coffee pots and tea bags, it was adorable

The rooms are slightly small, I didn’t mind it, and the balconies give you a darling view It’s a quaint, cozy hotel

Dravis Lutherin

Let me put it like this; it was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had For paying over $140 a night the continental breakfast was a coffee jug placed out in the restaurant bar No, like literally that was the continental breakfast

Terrible service as well The room was infested with ants! I had ants still crawling out my MacBook on the way back home Workers also weren’t helpful and often left you with judgemental looks as you walk past them Don’t come here unless you’re looking for a bad experience overpriced for a definitely overdue “4-star” hotel inspection Not worth the price nor the stresses of the poor hotel and restaurant management here

This hotel is ok Room is nice but there’s no cleaning service in the room, I stayed 3 nights and no towel change or any other service They give you complementary 1 glass of wine free downstairs but there’s no breakfast or even coffee

They give you one coffee pod (like you drink coffee once and one single person)Also there are lots of hidden fee Initially room was ~100 dollars and after tax + “resort fee” that was not disclosed before came up to ~150 per night !!!! With that you can get better hotels in the cityLocation is convenient, front desk is “helpful” but there’s no much that they offer so there’s no really big dealCheckout is at noon which is convenient for whoever is travelingNOISY! Very! Trash getting picked up in the morning 6am, there are no noise cancelling windows here If you wanna sleep and you get bothered by noise don’t stay hereDefinitely won’t stay here again, not happy with the service or what the hotel offers

janice mendez

They tried to charge my card $2,000 upon check-in when my booking was less than $400 When my card declined multiple times and I finally realized what they were trying to charge me, they tried to play it off as an error but they could clearly see on their screen how much they were attempting to charge my card If you decide to stay here, be careful not to get scammed by them

Otherwise, the hotel was decent

Josh Colwell

Let’s start with the bad since that’s how my adventure at the Warwick began Arrived at 11pm to find the room I had reserved was no longer available and the single queen being the last room The room was ok on its own merit

My issue was the air had been turned off so it was very hot The ac flashing is also annoying but I was able to hang a towel over that The good Hot water, like let’s make tea hot, very nice The shower head is short so if your over 6′ tall you might find it uncomfortable So the take away is check in early and adjust the thermostat accordingly, it took most of the night to get the room down in the mid 70s I don’t travel to SF often but had the issues not occurred I would have liked it better They did adjust my rate to match the smaller room’s price and front desk did not give me the runaround about it
