This is a nice quite hotel room is very clean On check in and coming up to the room we walk in and the front panel is completely off of the heater and air conditioner, went down to the front desk the manger himself came with me back to the room and he fixed it right away! I didn’t get his name but was very nice about it Furniture is dated and the beds very comfortable

Over all good stay

Stopped here during Spring Break It’s a standard Holiday Inn – decent rooms and basic free breakfast Front desk staff was very friendly

Walls and floor are thin – we could hear folks above us and next to us walking around Our kids left an electronic device in the room by accidentcalled less than 12 hours later and they claimed it wasn’t there

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Sobotta Manor B&B in Mt Airy, NC during the Autumn Leaves Festival for six of the past eight years and have never been disappointed During that time, we have stayed in all of their beautifully decorated rooms and found that each has is own charm

Our favorite is The Garden Room overlooking The back yard The beds are, of course, very comfortable and the entire house is immaculateNow, let’s talk about the food! We have stayed regularly at B&Bs over the past 20 years and I can state confidently and enthusiastically that the Sobotta Manor’s breakfasts are hands-down the best we have had anywhere (restaurants included) The friendly, do-everything, owners Robin and JR continue to ensure that will continue, as their award winning breakfasts are renowned and rightly so Let me emphasize that this is not your typical B&B fare but more closely resembles a four course meal that changes daily It is an event in itself and should be savoredRobin and JR obviously love their B&B and sharing it with their guests and take great pride in doing so I highly recommend giving it a try Like so many of its customers, I assure you will want to return again and again!

A friend and I stayed here while attending a yoga event at Sacred Space yoga This house is decadent, the garden is beautiful and the owners welcoming and informative The bed was so comfortable and breakfast was delicious

We hiked Hanging Rock and enjoyed dinner at the North State winery I look forward to bringing my husband next time I’m such a believer in the idea that people make trips away much brighter The conversations with the owner and the new people we shared breakfast with were just as great as the sweet town of Mount Airy Thank You for a great experience

I recommend this place without reservation! Probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in the last 10 years – down bed top and super soft sheets Loved it! All furnishings and home original BEAUTIFUL gardens in the back for meditative walk

Great street with old large homes from furnature days Food is to die for (breakfast) Access to coffee and mint tea (my favorites) Great location in the city – small walks to town center too bad I can’t rate this place (and it’s kind owners) at 10 instead of just 5 🙂

The hospitality is always great here! The breakfast is always good The breakfast attendants and other staff are always pleasant and cheerful in the mornings Definitely helps to get the day off to a good start

When I show up late at night, Maria is always good about asking how the day was and etc As a truck driver, being away from home for days, this kindness makes one feel like who we are and what we do out here matter Looking forward to the next visit at this location

While we only stayed one night, we had a great experience Front desk staff was friendly and our room was very clean We also liked the close proximity to food and stores

My only complaint would be our neighbors allowing their door to slam close all throughout the night but that’s not the hotel’s fault, people just need to learn to be a little more respectful of others :)Overall a great experience and I would stay here again

Samantha Pacella

Very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast with lots of options, friendly staff, awesome pool

The list goes on Very clean and accommodating!! I’m very picky when it comes to hotels and I would 10000% stay again!!! Plenty of food options right nearby, gas, grocery, etc Perfect for Andy Griffith attractions as it’s only about 1-4 miles from everything!!!

For the price, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and breakfast The room was clean The fridge made an annoying whirling sound and I unplugged it but then it smelled a little funky and I had to deal with the sound

The motel was really close to a number of restaurants Check in was easy One of the clerks, Amanda?, was busy finishing her text before she’d acknowledge/help me out but the other people were hospitable The breakfast was warm and had a number of options The pool looked inviting but we didn’t have time to check it out There was also a coin laundry on site

John VanHoek

I was there to pick up another driver and did not have a room I was in the lobby, cafeteria, and bathroom areas They were very clean and well organized

I was there at 6am and had been driving for quite some time I was tired and hungery I explained to the clerk that I have one of my drivers booked there and will be waiting in the front end While waiting for my driver to clear out of his room I was afforded the opportunity to partake of the morning breakfast by one of the staff members All staff members were very delightful, courteous, and accommodating This was enforced by the overheard conversation of the night clerk aiding a difficult customer on the phone book a room I have stayed in many hotels/motels and would definitely patronize this establishment in the future should I need a room the next I am in town The grounds are well kept with ample parking All said here rightly denotes and is a direct reflection on the management Even though I did not see the interior of a room my driver had zero qualms with it and the establishment as a whole

Michael Travis

Tried to check in late evening on April 13 only to find bed bugs in room 227 within 30minutes of being in the room Clerk didn’t seemed surprised and lowered the rate and offered to move us to another room After a few minutes we decided that it would be best to leave and get our money back

Luckily right down the street the Hampton Inn had a vacancy and for a little more money had a wonderful stay with an excellent breakfast the next morning

This place is the best hidden gem on the parkway! I love trains and my husband surprised me with a stay here on our last night traveling the BRP on our bike, and I couldn’t have been happier The caboose was extremely clean Cleaner than a lot of hotels we’ve stayed in

It had all the amenities you could ask for and a jacuzzi tub that was awesome after riding all day The scenery outside sitting on the porch was to die for and it was soooooo peaceful It was great to wake up in the morning and not hear doors slamming and people talking loud like at a hotel The owner was so friendly and gave us suggestions on where to eat, and any time we were going out, he would tell us the quickest way to get there We will definitely be going back here in the future, and I’m going to talk my husband into staying longer!!

Shayna Rodgers

We love this place This was our first time going to the cabooses We rented the middle one

Its so different than any place I’ve stayed before We rented 3 nights and when we pulled up, Donnie(the owner), let us know it was going to snow, and we should only book 2 nights, just in case we didn’t want to stay the 3rd night We did end up renting the 3rd night, but that was very nice of him to even let us know that it was going to snow He could have not said anything and took the money He was very polite, professional, attentive, and knowledgable about the area surrounding We had a very relaxing time We liked that we could unplug from the city life We also got to bring our dog We just had to bring a blanket for him to lay on The caboose was very clean Thanks for having us Donnie

Wonderful room, with many thoughtful amenities, but on arrival we were handed a $10 gift certificate to go for breakfast at the “Snappy Lunch” (evidently, a popular tourist spot) I was skeptical about $10 buying breakfast for two (which the host laughed off as “Oh, you Northerners -you don’t know the South!”), but in actually the “Snappy Lunch” is closed on Mondays

so we got a useless piece of paper FORGET beautiful pictures of breakfast on the listing!

We stayed with Niece and Charles in their wonderful home which was beautifully decorated and most welcoming Niece has an engaging personality and was very knowledgeable about Mt Airy

We enjoyed talking with her Our room was very comfortable ( even in 90+ degree heat) and breakfast of berry-filled fruit cup, French toast, sausage, juices and coffee set us up for a day of exploring Hope to get back some day! Highly recommended!

Bees B&B was amazing Neise and Charles were awesome hosts We felt right at home from the walk up the doorsteps

My wife and I planned a getaway trip to Mount Airy We stayed at Heart & Soul bed and breakfast and what an excellent choice we made Chris the owner greeted us at the door and provided a tour of the house

From the wine and beverage selection to the comfort of the house amenities it was perfect The breakfast provided was nothing less than wonderful We stayed 2 nights in the Merritt room that had a comfortable bed with a very spacious bathroom The front porch was one of our favorite past times Everything downtown was within a short walking distance from the B&B If ever traveling to or around Mount Airy, we would highly recommend staying at Heart & Soul

Loved the room It was beautifully decorated Breakfast was delicious

Really great location within walking distance to restaurants It was really really hot during the night the heat was set to 69 degrees which is really hot compared to our usual 62 I tried to turn the heat down but it needed a PIN number (for good reason of course) We didn’t want to wake anyone up to turn it down so we took covers off the bed but still didn’t sleep well I’m sure it would have been adjusted if we had stayed another night but we were only there for the one night They have a refrigerator for guest use but there’s no microwave so if you have leftovers from a restaurant or microwave popcorn you cannot heat it up yourself The only other downside was the breakfast time We wake up early and usually eat breakfast by 6:30/7 so the 9 am breakfast was really late and we were starving Other people came to the table after us and were served their hot breakfast first Still 5 stars They deserve every bit of the 5 stars even with the few things that made me pout We will definitely be back and we will bring snacks that don’t need a microwave

Edna Barry

Heart and soul is a very beautiful inn The breakfast was amazing, I just wish I had a bigger morning appetite Chris was a good host, never intruding, but always available

The young lady serving and housekeeping was so sweet and politeThe only thing I see could be improved Access to ice, and the thermostat not being locked I like my room very cool, or a fan to have air moving Unfortunately I didn’t pack my fanYes I would 100% stay here again and recommend Heart and Soul to everyone

Relaxing and cozy, really takes you back to a simpler time If you’re looking for a lodge style cabin with fancy amenities, square edges, and modern style, please look somewhere else This is a much more rustic, simple, closer to camping feel

Kitchen is very simple, but has everything you need The views off the porch over the field were amazing, with mountains rolling in the distance The jacuzzi tub in the living room near the fireplace was relaxing and fit both if us easily Was really nice to disconnect and get back to basics We had an amazing Valentine’s day weekend And It snowed, so we got to see views with 2 different landscapesReserving the cabin was easy, and the cabin was warm and clean upon arrival The little quirks like mismatched dishes, uneven edges, and random findings in the kitchen drawers made it great Seems like a place where the last person contributed something for the next person, So of course we did as well My only complaint is we couldn’t stay longer lolThank you lonesome pine for such a relaxing weekend

Great Great Great experience! Our original lodging location turned out to be unsatisfactory and we were lucky enough to find this Hampton Inn nearby We loved it! Everything was clean, staff was friendly, and there is a great wine tasting bar in the lobby for nearby Shelton Vineyards! The lady in the tasting room was super friendly and told us about nearby stone mountain when we asked about waterfalls! The view from our room was great, we could see mountains in the distance! To the desk clerk in training: you are doing great, keep it up! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and have already recommended it to others!

Have been to this particular Hampton twice and have no complaints Staff has been friendly & courteous Everything was clean

My granddaughter loved spending time in the pool Saw that others complained about not enough choices as far as food goes We loved that about it, because you’re not right in the middle of “everything “ Only about a ten minute drive to restaurants The Coach’s restaurant next door was great & close by which worked for us Love that this Hampton is pet friendly! Keep up the great work!!

Lynette

Stayed first week of April 2022 as we headed down to Myrtle Beach We got a room with a king bed and pull-out sofa Hotel staff was very courteous and friendly

Room was nice and large Kids loved the indoor pool, it was clean and warm Breakfast was great in the morning, lots of options and tasted good Location was just pretty farm land, not much around Ate at the restaurant nearby and it was OK Overall a great place to stay
