DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! This should be 0 stars My husband is currently staying here and had his Apple Watch and jewelry stolen from his room BY STAFF! Normally we wouldn’t make an assumption as to who stole his things, however, the key card lock on the door has been broken since he checked in, and the staff are the only ones with a physical key to enter the room My husband can’t even get in the room unless they let him in

The whole situation stinks!! And lets just say, the staff haven’t exactly been helpful or concerned to figure out what happened I wouldn’t trust this place

Stayed last year it was fine This year made a reservation months in advance for a roll in shower Was called 4 days before our arrival date

We could not have the room we reserved because the person staying in the room wanted to extend their stay There was no effort to help This left us scrambling for a room at the last minute This made it hard for my wife On our trip to visit family next year we will look somewhere else Don’t see a reason to reserve a room My wife is a honors member

Old Hotel with outdated furniture Sticky air on the hallways Air condition and fridge in the room very loud, could hardly sleep

Cannot say anything about the pool, door was closedBreakfast really bad All seems to be thawed convenience food, even the scrambled eggs All wrapped in plastic, paper plates, no real butter The best of the whole breakfast was the banana

We go to a different destination every year for family Vaca This place is the only one we have been to twice Love the location on Kentucky lake

Great views Cabins are dated We stayed in cabin 10 on our last trip and I cannot recommend that one unless you are a family of small people due to the size of the shower It’s smalllllll Other than that the rest of the resort is great Pool is nice, clean beach with kayaks and stand up paddle boards free to use!!! I was talking to the great staff and there are new owners and they have big plans for this place I’ll check back in a few years and see what has changed This place can only get better

Lauren Miller

The staff were outstanding, especially the manager, Missy She was very accommodating and super friendly! The cottages were very clean and stocked well Loved that they supply firewood if you would like to partake at night

We’ll definitely return! Perfect hideaway when you want to unplug from the chaos All the available activities were so convenient at no additional charge

C T

Me and my girlfriend stayed here a while back in Cottage #3 and we loved it The cottage was very clean when we walked in and the back deck had a beautiful view of Kentucky Lake They had kayaks out to use which was awesome and many more games and things to do

The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was it seemed a majority of the day the grounds crew was out weed eating, mowing, etc which kind of took away from the calm quiet atmosphere most are craving when they come for a vacation At the same time however, I understand they were out working in order to keep the resort as nice looking as possible We defiantly plan to visit again and would recommend this resort to anyone!

So far very pleased with the location and mini cabin It is clean and nicely done It’s perfect for two people

The gals at the front desk were helpful and knowledgeable I was slightly worried booking the mini cabin since there were no pictures on the website The only thing that would have made it better is a full size fridge Other than that it is perfect ❤️

Shamus Elliott

The manager Debbie wasn’t friendly unless you were in the bar drinking and flirting with her all night Couldn’t get a parking spot in front of our room any of the 3 days we stayed Parking spots were taken up by fishing boats and drunks at the bar

Loud talking outside our room and karaoke going on until 1-2am Will not return to this place Better to stay in Dover if you want to weekend in the area

Stephen and Jill Lynch

Not clean Staff would come in and leave towels but not clean I left a note and ask that my cabin be swept and the bathrooms be cleaned but my note was pretty much ignored

There was trash under the beds, dresser, the floors were nasty and the bathroom smelled of urine It even looked as though someone had urinated on the walls and never been cleaned Manager was nice I never voiced my concern because everywhere was booked and I knew I had to leave my room unattended at times I could also see daylight thru gaps in the wall I hate to complain but I like clean I don’t mind old but I like my place clean

If I could give zero stars, I would Drove 7 hours for a family get together only to find that almost 1 am I was woken up to bed bugs in room 157 I headed straight to the office only to find no one at the desk

After a half hour of searching, a worker finally appears The woman wasn’t very caring at all Then tried to charge me for another room after asking for another to accommodate my family We had to wake up our children in the middle of the night just to switch rooms It was literally the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been in

VIP NEWS

I’ve traveled and stayed at hotels and motels all over the country This was the first time any of them ever said that they don’t honor late checkouts While the two front desk ladies were very nice, the young man wasn’t

Workers seem uncomfortably fearful of the owner Some features of the property were in much disrepair Overall, not a recommended place to stay

B Morrow

Wasn’t the best experience Room smelled horrible The tub had hair and what looked like dirt in it

The toliet itself was not secured to the floor and the seat moved alot The chain lock to my room was broken and they had duct tape holding the main door lock The room I had was a joining room and you could hear every single thing the people in that room were saying I called to confirm a king room and was told they had a few, but when I got there and requested the single king room, they all of sudden didn’t have one available and I had to pay extra for a double bed room I was charged like $91 and some change Which I find funny since the motel was literally empty aside from a few other ppl The bedslumpy and smelled Stains on the sheets and pillows The mini fridge was dirty Dust on everything So, I ended up getting my own blankets out of my and used them I just felt so unsafe mainly due to the door issues And now im sick and im pretty sure the room caused it They do allow pets tho and dont charge extra which is nice But my suggestion, spend alil extra money and stay somewhere else

Employees very friendly and helpful Stayed 2 nights and front desk called to see if we needed new or extra towelsToilet did run almost all the time

I would fix the flapper and it would help for a little while and start running again I just shut the bathroom door I’ll let front desk know

Neal McGinley

Hotel was in a very noisy location, road traffic was like the windows were wide open with 17 year old boys revving loud pickup trucks with bad exhaust systems Old decor was not worthy of the money that I had to spend As a business traveler who had little to choose from because of some convention in the area, I now remember why I try to stay away from Choice Hotel Chains!!!Really SAD stay…

EnjoyingExploring

Upon first glance, it reminded me of a lost time It was like time stood still Very dated and the pool was in desperate need of repair

The grounds also needed some TLC But, we enjoyed the quiet surroundings and location, and the room was clean and bed comfy Customer Service was good, and the breakfast was average We would stay here again but recommend some improvements to management

Christian Ulrich

I helped out with tornado relief and stayed at a cottage at this state park Despite the situation (the park was filled to capacity with displaced persons and volunteers) the park staff worked hard at being excellent hosts It’s a beautiful setting overlooking the lake

I told them I will return for a few days when things are back to normal because we will enjoy ourselves at this park
