On our recent trip from Australia we stayed here for one night Unfortunately our room was very unclean Upon discovering pubic hairs in the bathroom floor and soap dispenser we were in shock

After driving 10+ hours and arriving late, we didn’t want to go elsewhere So we pulled back the sheets in both beds only to be further shocked by more hair We moved rooms but then further disappointed by no mention or apology for what we found Won’t be going Marriott ever again

I’m allergic to feathers, feather free room is listed in my profile when I checked in I asked at the front desk if the room was feather free? I was rudely told I “I saw it on your profile” I put my bags in the room and when I returned late that evening decided I better check the pillows When I did I discovered feather pillows

This seems to be a systemic problem at Marriott properties I have addressed it through their customer service, heard nothing At one hotel I had an allergic reaction causing me to take Benadryl to stop the reaction which left me tired for my only day in a national park an incident report was filled out and I was assured i would hear from a manager I didn’t and after a week I wrote a review then I finally heard from someone I also filled out an incident report and was told that I would hear from a manager before I checked out Nothing, it’s been a month Since then I always check before I use the pillows Problems happen it’s how you handle them that counts!!

the inside was redone recently and is very nice The outside is a bit of a deterrent If I was driving by I would not go in

But once in the door the lobby, room, and amenities are really nice The service at the Coffee Bar was perfect The woman that served us was Awesome and not to mention we left at 11pm and returned at 8am and she was back!!!! What dedication

Brian L

I feel for the most part that Courtyard in itself just kind of rides off the Marriott name and this one is no exceptionPRO’s – The hotel main floor is very clean, has ample lounge spots and overall very inviting The inside fireplace is very nice and welcoming

The little store off from the front desk is super convenient (also ridiculously expensive) The rooms have been updated(ish) with comfortable beds, new sofas, carpet yet out of place looking furniture with an early 90s persona Room service was great and they replenish with more than enough towelsCONS – The Bistro in the morning is the worst Bistro of all the Marriotts I’ve been to in the last ten years and I’ve been to ALOT The Bistro “opens” at 6:30a through the week and my rewards include free breakfast everyday Would’ve been awesome if someone was actually there at 6:30 and ready to serve Nope 6:40? Nope! Half the time closer to 7am and the poor guy from the front desk has to come over there and do the Bistro employees job BECAUSE THEY DONT SHOW UP ON TIME, CONSISTENTLY!! The food is also way overpriced for what you get, I mean…over $4 for a small bottle of water? Is this hotel THAT broke? Front desk guy needs a raise as he was doing everyone’s job most mornings, by himself The floor hallways are very long and creepy as in new carpet yet odd looking wood doors out of the 80s The keyless cards don’t work half of the time The toilet takes five flushes just to get a piece of toilet paper to actually go down Water pressure is horrible and takes ten minutes to try and get all the soap off you in the shower Undersized room TVs and only two USB ports in the whole room and those two are on top of the alarm clock The outside of the hotel is cringe and unwelcoming The grounds need major focus and look overall unkempt Killed multiple spiders in the room throughout my stay The pillows are way to flat and unsupportive Took all five of them together just to make one good one that kept my neck straight One washer and one dryer for the entire hotel that look like the first whirlpools ever invented and did not wash nor dry good at all Stairwell carpets are stained and you aren’t sure if you’re climbing stairs in a state prison or a hospitalOverall, the lobby felt more like a Marriott while everything else felt like a nice Motel 6 If you’re passing through for the night and traveling alone than this will suffice but don’t expect much because the hotel just doesn’t offer much and the staff is just kinda “there” I will most definitely not be staying with this hotel again and will not book it for any of my employees going forward

This very modern Apartmenthouse is for me the right placeYou have a complete apartment with everything you need for a short or even long stayThe whole place works fully digital

Once you have installed the App and activated your stay, you are ready to enter everything you needThe doors will unlock automatically once you are close, the same goes for the elevator or the parking garageThe equipment in the room is top notchAs fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, even an extra dressing room, what else can you ask for?Oh yes, of course what about a balcony? But this is also therePricing is excellent compared with hotels in that area, only 15 minutes from the Capitol

Great location, amenities and spaceLooks clean upon first glance, but after a couple hrs walking around, all our socks and feet were filthyNot for families with young kids or anyone planning to remove their shoes at some point

It’s a shame, as I really like a lot of features about this place and would still recommend for adults who aren’t going to be bothered by dirty floorsFor $450/nt, I expected not to have to be down on my knees Lysol wiping when first arriving at my hotel

Noel Pearson

Genuinely amazing experience The staff was kind, courteous, and personable (Natia helped check my partner and I in) The room was gorgeous, clean, spacious, and far exceeded any expectations, especially at the steal of a price it was at! There were so many amenities available to us: a washer and dryer, a high-end fridge with ice and water dispensers, a dishwasher, a walk-in closet, a massive flat screen with Apple TV, an exercise room; it would be easier to name what they didn’t have! I bought the Junior room with a queen bed for $157 a night (pre-tax) and have to say that it was worth every cent!My partner is very picky about, well, everything

I was deadly afraid of messing up her birthday trip with a sub-par room, luckily I didn’t have to worry at all WhyHotel provided us with a room that she deemed the nicest room she’s stayed in, everTheir check-in and check-out policy is quick, easy, and —frankly— next gen with its electronic lock system and digital services If I ever needed assistance, I could text the help line and get a response almost immediately! The location was in a fantastic area, as well The view was incredible and the options for shopping and eating were limitlessFrom the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank WhyHotel for making my partner’s birthday the best to date I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in area

I love that your car is locked secure in the garage every night Check out time is NOT at the crack of dawnthe only disappointment was the beautiful pool was closedThe bathroom tile was beautiful and clean Beds were comfy and very cleanLocation, I gave 4 stars only because it was a little bit of a walk to get to the museums But also, it was a nicer quiet area, right across the street from the beautiful Martin Luther Church

Mon L

I am staying here currently with my family I can’t say enough about the warm, friendly front desk staff They treat customers with respect and kindness, and went above and beyond to get us a room suitable for our party

The pool and all the facilities are clean, well cared for and comfortable This hotel is a little bit dated in some parts, but the warm and welcoming vibe makes it worth it Excellent value and I just want to say thanks to the amazing staff who work here

Monica Hasbun

Everything was excellent: the location, the service and the cleanliness I want to thank the front desk staff Treasure, Maya, Joy, Tenisha and Evelyn They were all very pleasant and helpful

I was also very pleased with the thoroughness of the housekeeping staff They did a great job cleaning my room meticulously every day The hotel is very nice, regardless of whether it is updated or some rooms are small, which were comments I read from other reviews The rooms are equipped with a small fridge and a coffee maker, and the coffee provided (from Nicaragua) was delicious I also liked the pizza at the patio restaurant by the pool I ordered half vegetarian and half sausage/pepperoni It is lovely to sit there on a nice day Many of the guests are out in the pool area at all times of day I highly recommend this hotel

The Maldonado’s

Great location and amenities Morton’s is one of my favorites, and they are located in many nice hotels like this one Make sure you visit on the evening

Our tour had breakfast arrangements, missed the eggs on the last two mornings of the trip To their credit, staff was kind, attentive and accommodating Starbucks in the house too (for those Cafe lovers like us) Safe “business” area, and parking is just around the corner Modern feel with plenty to do around the hotel

Eva S

It’s a good business hotel, quiet standard, could be any brand really Pros and cons below:PROS:Large spacious room with nice expansive views onto the main street, gets good light during the day Comfy bed

There’s a desk to work at if need be Nice staff at the hotel, very accommodating and caring Very clean, good observation of covid rules etc Food served during the event was good too, tasty, good temperature- I recommend the current kitchen staff can certainly cater for breakfast tooAreas to IMPROVE:No breakfast, no pool/spa; the air in the hotel was so dry most event delegates were complaining about difficulty to sleep at night, myself included – I strongly recommend to get lots and lots of green plants, maybe install some air humidifiers for the winter months The shower head was full of limescale – need to check those details and replace Maybe add a picture(s) in the room, some softer interior details – interior now looks so sterile, plain

Mitch Grussing

We visited DC for leisure, and we felt that this hotel was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and value Driving in from out of town, it was easy to get to this hotel by car, and the Metro stop made it easy to get to all the big sights around the capital Our rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable

Yes, you have to pay for breakfast here, but there are tons of options nearby, including several in the lobby I was perfectly happy with Starbucks and Dunkin; my husband and his parents sought fancier eats in the morning The only bummer was that there’s no pool and hot tub But still I’d give the place a full five stars because we were truly satisfied with this hotel

This location is great! Went to Bethesda Jazz and Blues for a concert The staff is very friendly, courteous and accommodating Kenneth in particular really stood out for us

He took the time to answer questions about the hotel and provided us with the contact information for us to follow up on the weekday when the appropriate person returned to work He really made us feel at home I also witnessed other staff walking other guest outside and explaining directions Everyone greeted us at any time of the day In the morning, we took advantage of the roof top pool which our special needs son really enjoyed Parking was a bit challenging however, they have alternate options to accommodate We will definitely return to this location Kudos again to Kenneth, you rock!

I reserved a hotel room for my fiance’s birthday We had a very pleasant stay The staff greeted us warmly and were very accommodating

They even upgraded our room for free! The room was very spacious, like a 1 bedroom apartment, with an attached balcony There was a decently stocked kitchen attached This is a pet friendly hotel, and a dog bed and bowls were provided at no additional charge The gentleman at the front desk even offered to walk our puppy for us There is a hospital close by, and the noises that come with that, and just DC noise in general, but they offer ear plugs, sleep masks and white noise machines The bed was comfortable Wifi was complimentary (a bit slow at times tho) Overall, I would stay here again

The room was a good sized suite Everything was clean and in working order It’s a convention center, and some history about the Postal Department spread throughout

The decor was a bit dated, but very tasteful The Pony Express, the lounge was closed and the restaurant had limited availability, probably due to COVID-19 or personnel, or both The staff was exceptional! They were helpful and friendly, and went out of their way for our party If I am back on Potomac, I would consider staying again

Rachel KS

Outdated, small, stuffy, and mildew-smelling rooms with old furniture – like a desk chair with the vinyl seat peeling away The ac did not remove much humidity in the hotel rooms The staff were friendly and helpful, and the meeting space was good, but it did not function well for the hybrid setup we needed

The cafeteria food was well above average, especially the delicious and perfectly-cooked seafood The coffee was not a hit Beautiful grounds

Matt Alonso

Rooms were a little dated, but not awful The humidity in the rooms was terrible and everything (walls, towels, etc) was consistently dampGrounds were gorgeous

Staff was exceptional Food was quite good

Everything was very clean The beds were comfy, and you were about a block or two from just about everything Everyone was very friendly and nice

I enjoyed watching the fireworks from the balcony I felt very secure in the building, and safe I was a little confused at first with how to enter the code to the main door I figured it out, but maybe a small informational guide would be nice I loved my stay here, and I would totally come back here the next time that I am in DC There was a little garden in the alley way behind the hostel that was quite pretty to view as well

Lance Russo

Let me start by saying I’ve stayed here in the past in my travels and loved it I’m also not aware if owner knows how his guests gets lied to by staff They canceled my reservations and charged my card ( they still have gave my money back

) All because they thought I was homeless I was embarrassed I live in Jersey and have a home there I love the artistic vibe here in DC and loving community I even joined a local non profit group there temperance alley because the community is wonderful For when I visit Just cause a man travels and has mental disorders like myself And chooses to explore all lives beauty Does not make him homeless They hurt my feeling so bad And it’s a shame cause I’m sure they didn’t realize just cause I’m different does not give them the right to discriminate The hostel is gorgeous but mistakes happen Besides calling me homeless and hurting my feeling so bad I cried The place is awesome I’m still waiting for owner to call me And my refund but the money isn’t the issue it’s my feelings that are the issue So if your different in any way or beat to your own drum or if your happy being you Do t go here they are not kind My name is Lance Russo I’m not happy about the discrimination and absurd comments made by staff The owner still has not called

Clarissa G

Stayed one night with a friend in the private two-bed room Check in was easy, room had everything we needed I do wish the bathroom was a little better enclosed (it had a glass wall all around but the glass was only frosted beginning partially up)

But the fact that they managed to fit so many amenities into the space so efficiently was very impressive Room was very clean Definitely would recommend to travelers on a budget Would visit again

I stayed here for just one night on a business trip and had a lovely experience Beautiful room and location In the heart of the city close to many food options

Staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming I cannot comment on pricing as my room was paid for but it was an excellent stay Loved my room and felt so relaxed! Would love to come back! Special thank you to Femi, a receptionist who was very accommodating at check in and check out

Takia Brown

The hotel lobby was clean, the staff were nice, and the location was good Not super impressed for the price No amenities really

I had to request a fridge in my room so to accommodate that they put me in a handicap room I’m six feet tall and everything was super low so it wasn’t ideal The heated floors in the bathroom didn’t work The valet took a little too long so I tried not to use my car The gym and the rooms are pretty small I don’t think this is a desirable hotel but it’s nice

summer hiltpold`

Hotel was great and staff was friendly John was quick to greet us for the valet We left for dinner and came back to a tidy room

We stopped into the bar (the Doyle) stayed for one drink, service was very slow but they were busy and we were content and atmosphere was nice Drink was excellent Hotel claimed to have 24hr room service We called a little before midnight for a bottle of Prosecco (listed on their room service menu) only to be told they don’t do that and to call the Doyle (their bar that was closing in 2 minutes, didn’t get through) Overall fine experience but disappointed in advertised room service When paying for amenities, I like to get what I paid for

For $270/night I was expecting a bit more You can book the Ritz across the street for around that price! The property was very clean and well maintained, but the decor felt quite dated No microwave and no free breakfast either

I’ve now stayed at all three Marriott properties in Tysons Corner The only one I will stay at again is the one on Rt 7 just off 495

A two-bit hotel with horrible air-conditioning Unhelpful front desk As soon as i walked in the hotel i became so horribly congested each night I couldn’t sleep

I should have left after first night Will never go back even though my office is across the street They don’t even offer a bottle of water to their guests who pay OVER $400+ on some nightsWhat a hot mess No amenities in the roomNot only will I not return to this Courtyard, i vow to never do any Marriott properties the rest of my lifeHilton, here i come

I am a loyal Marriott Platinum member I am extremely disappointed in the new customer service, where you need to await your call for anything, to be answered by outsourced Customer Service The minimum wait is usually 10 minutes and they have no idea what they are talking about

They recite policy and have no flexibility My issue was a sudden death of a very close family member and Marriott would not refund a pre paid hotel night I will have no problem taking all my business and my company business elsewhere I have banned the use of any Marriott brand within our company It is a shame what Marriott has become!!

Fantastic experience from the moment we walked in the door The night Auditor Chris went above and beyond to help us get checked in and make it a simple experience He was kinda and knowledgeable and answered all our questions and made it an easy experience

When we needed a couple extra blankets and pillows he answered the phone so politely and greeted us by name asking how he could assist us When we stepped down later that evening for some snacks from the snack bar, he was super helpful and even got us a bag to carry all our items back upstairsThe room was nice, and clean We did not have any issues during our stay Parking is only $24 a night compared to many local places charging almost $50 Would definitely stay againWe were also happy to find out there is a metro station near by for future visits Where we could walk 2 blocks and be at the hotel

Beautiful smaller property Room is a bit outdated but it gives it a rustic historic feel The front desk staff are sweet and kind and accommodating

Beds are super comfortable, pillows are soft , room is basic but has what you need If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here Thank you!

This Hotel is in a Great Location, and became my hubby and I, go to spot for comfort, relaxation and Great Service However, our most recent stay had determined that it would be the last time we patron, this Courtyard The room was inadequate, we were given a room right by the elevators, which became the alarm clock in the early morning, it was LOUD! No room service, even though the Website stated there would be, that needs updating

They did offer Grab & Go items, which should be changed to ” Grab- Pay & Go, some folks take that literally, just saying 🙄 The Hotel was kept cleaner before the Pandemic, because it was not up to cleanliness by any standards, the elevator’s were dirty, the carpet in our room didn’t look like it was vacuumed in a while, room was dusty, Guest were walking around without face covering, even though it’s the Hotel Policy to wear face covering?? There was some kind of Basketball tournament in the area and some teams did stay there, had I’d known that, this Courtyard would never had been an option and parking fees were also ridiculous, should be free free for Guest To bad though, this use to be a Really Good Courtyard Marriott, but we’ve moved on

Treated my sister and her husband to a stay at the Hay-Adams & it’s one of the very few times I can say that it was absolutely worth every cent Our rooms were impeccable, every member of the staff we encountered was genuinely caring, & every meal we ate was exceptional Everything exceeded my expectations

I’ve never experienced anything like it; they must go out of their way to hire the best of the best & treat them well because nothing fell short of absolute excellenceI don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else in the city It made our time in DC magical

A very nice hotel with a large indoor pool, great dining facility, and comfortable suites The location of Bethesda Embassy Suites makes it extremely convenient for going to DC, northern Virginia, and Maryland locationsI especially appreciated the friendly and courteous staff, who started my day with a cheerful smile and a wonderful breakfast

They continued this as they greeted my return and supported my requests A Manager’s reception in the early evening helped ease the stress of the day or provided a change to help one wind downThe experience I had was shared by the hundreds of guests that were there at the same time I was I saw the staff interact with everyone in the same manner and you know the had equally comfortable and clean roomsSo come and stay at one of the DC area’s best hotels You’ll enjoy it, I’m certain

We stayed at Embassy suites because my husband had to have facial reconstruction We had to stay 5 nights The location was great, close to the medical facility

The room was comfortable Berta, at the front desk, was very kind and helpful She was exceptional at her job, all of the staff seemed very good at whatever job they did The breakfast was wonderful, the breakfast team was AMAZING We are very pleased with our recent stay

Positives: Big and comfortable rooms, enough set of towels The breakfast offered is pretty good There is a good food variety and the products offer are of high quality

The room also had a good viewNegatives: The first night I had to kill a spider, and I didn’t had soap for my hands I also had to tell them twice to send a housekeeper to do room service

Watch your bill and charges! While it wasn’t a horrible experience in every aspect, we are stuck in limbo waiting for a call back because they charged us for our full 3 night stay despite having paid a night upfront when we made the reservation so now we’ve paid for 4 nights (only destroyed 3) At the front desk they told us everyone is having this issue How can that be allowed to continue when they know about it and they continue charging people for an extra night they’ve already paid? Other than that the room was fine

I wasn’t impressed with the services at the front desk even before the billing issue came to light The bell service people were aggressive and wanted to load every bag in your car which just slowed us down I get that it’s their job and they’re trying to be helpful but you have to back off when people want to do things on their ownUpdate: we’ve made multiple attempts to connect with their billing department asking to correct this issue The front desk has assured me multiple times that we’d get a call back but a week and a half later and still nothing! When they knowingly overcharge you for an additional night that’s fraud! Not only will I be disputing this with my credit card company but will also refer this matter to the attorney general’s officeThere were also additional small charges every day that were on top of the nightly rate and taxes I hope someone can figure out this scam

Positives, nice decor, rooms are nice but a bit small The staff is friendly and welcomingHowever, overall not a great experience

I made a reservation directly through their app for a room with 2 queen beds Due to a longer then expected travel time, i checked in through the app, and I also called to confirm my reservation and to let them know of a late arrival I get to the hotel and they give me a room with a king size bed and they told me it was basically the same thing, it’s not I was told that there was nothing else they could do except a rolling bed, one that didn’t fit in the room It was frustrating not receiving what I had reserved and not being offered a way to make up for it It was all an unnecessary inconvenience that I tried to avoid since the beginning

Alex Navarro

The staff has been really friendly and helpful I checked in quite late and was really hungry after a long flight from San Francisco, so I decided to eat at their restaurant The server, Abdul, was really nice

I don’t usually send food back, but the crab soup didn’t taste so good, so I politely told Abdul I wouldn’t be finishing it He was apologetic and took the soup off my bill The rooms are clean and modern The bathroom is a bit small and feels rather cramped when you’re sitting on the toilet My neighbors decided to have a loud party at 3am and after sending a message to the front desk, I was offered a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience In the morning, I asked if my neighbors would be staying another night and when that was confirmed, the front desk immediately moved me to a different room, which was greatly appreciated So far, I’ve had a pleasant experience with the location and staff
