It is an older hotel, and it shows There appears to have been much updating in the rooms but they are small Some common areas obviously could use a little updating, but personally I enjoy the vibe of a little bit older, less sanitized place that are all cookie cutter the same

The lady that checked me in was quite friendly, the price was decent and at least when I was there in the middle of February I almost had the place to myself I’m sure it gets quite busy during the summer tourist season If I have occasion to stay in North Platte again I would not hesitate to stay here personally For those who might care it does not have an elevator for the second floor, but personally my fat butt can stand to walk up the stairs 🙂

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS!!! If I could give a rating of NO STARS I would The hotel it’s self appears to be clean and tidy I understand that bed bugs can happen in a 5 star to a 1 star, but it’s how the situation is handled

In this case it was handled poorly I woke up 0400 to an adult bed bug crawling past my face I then proceeded to turn on the light on my phone to several small and large bed bugs crawling on my mattress I then did some further investigation after looking up BED bugs and found several bug casings/carcasses I took pictures and even managed to trap one with a cup We informed the employee working and he offered another room We declined that and decided to check out at that point He told us that I had to call the manager in order to get a refund I called Raj (the GM) and he was extremely rude Wouldn’t let me speak and denied that my photos came from his hotel room Instead of refunding us our night stay he offered me $1000 to come back and prove to him that there are BED bugs Unfortunately, I was already 4 hours away from the hotel or otherwise I would have done so I do not appreciate the disrespect nor the disregard to choice hotels policy An official complaint has been filed with choice hotels If management would have acted accordingly this would not have been a big issue, but unfortunately the manager did not handle the situation professionally At least the night worker was kind enough to get us several large garbage bags to put our belongings in, so we could get them home to be washed I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL or at least room 223!!!

I am a member and regular client of WyndhamMy babies milk ran out, as I got in late Normally he asleep by 8:30

At 11:15 I walked across the street to the gas station to buy some milk, but the station was closed I walked back to LaQuinta, and asked the clerk if I could buy some milk for my baby, since they have it for the morning He pointed and said there was a gas station across the thruway, which requires driving He attempted to be nice about itThis is a good example of how to not be hospitable Milk was available for the hotel In this situation with a baby, a good hotel would have been accommodating in a unique circumstance at 11:30 at night Sending a parent to a highway gas station at midnight with their crying baby, to buy something the hotel has, is poor While it is not required for La Quinta to accommodate these types of request, we can all agree these circumstances require help, care and attentionI will likely change my brand of hotels after years of use I may cancel all my reservations with Wyndham for driving across the country and back for vacation road trips About 14 bookingsI will use my wife’s Marriott from now on

My family, 8 in total, spent 2 nights here recently The staff was incredibly friendly especially the breakfast attendant We basically took over the largest table for meals and gatherings without any fuse

The rooms were nicely put together and cleanThe only bad thing was the pool was very cold but the kids still swam for a bit then warmed up in the hottub which worked just fine The hotel was full the first night but the noise level wasn’t bad A few dogs barking but nothing late into the evening

Cody Oss

This was a nice place to stay overall but there were a couple big drawbacks for my family- The pool was not heated or heat was broke so it was unusable This was a part of the reason we chose this hotel

– Their wifi had been hacked Any website that did not use https redirected to a sketchy website that would try to spam your devicesThe rooms were nice, but for the reasons above I would not stay here again

Rooms were nice, bed was a bit hard but it was OK, Excellent service, location is a new area of town that is just starting to see some growth Whirlpool is disappointing so if your going there to unwind and looking forward to the Whirlpool you probably shouldn’t stay there The water is tepid and jets are minimal at best

Coffee available 24 hours which is definitely a plus Hot breakfast was good

Justin Simmons

Rooms were nice and clean, that’s about the only positive We specifically called to book 2 adjoining rooms, they confirmed, however they didn’t have any adjoining rooms available when we got to check in One of the rooms we got was next to guests blaring music until 12:30am – called the front desk and were told there wasn’t anything they could do

Website says pool is heated but it either wasn’t on or wasn’t working during our stay – the pool was freezing Hot tub was fine but crowded since no one wanted to touch the pool Breakfast options would have been typical but half of the items were out and no forks I can’t recommend staying here

John L. Davis

The property was excellent It is well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for food and other items I needed to get It was COLD and they were happy to get me an extra blanket

I traveled with a dog and they were very happy to accommodate her Thanks!Easy access to some stores nearby, such as Walmart and others Good restaurants are nearby too

This place was terrible We just needed a cheap place to rest on our way across the country We first went to the other Motel 6 in town (which looked much newer and nicer) only to find out our reservation was at the other Motel 6 in town

When we got to our room the toilet appeared to be dirty along with the shower and a piece of dog food was left on the floor in the bathroom I have seen cleaner pit toilets There was no shampoo, tissues or coffee in the room To top it off there was a cricket in our room that continued to chirp all night and when we called the front desk there was no solution to help This was my first and last stay at a Motel 6 If you go to north Platte do not stay here

Avoid!!! Put is in room 105, directly under a staircase ALL NIGHT LONG I hear people stomping up and down the stairs Got maybe four hours of sleep

Slept so poorly I couldn’t make it to my destination the next day, necessitating a second hotel where I could actually get a decent night’s sleep I’ve never had such a bad hotel experience

Filthy room covered in dust with dusty cobwebs in ceiling corners and dirty, soap scum and lint filled shower with no water pressure and very oddly placed shower head There was a random plastic bag covering a pre-tripped fire alarm Office staff blamed previous guests for it when asked to come remove/ reset it

When office staff was made aware of the cleanliness issue, she excused it all awayFound a cockroach nymph scurrying around behind the laminate covering on phoneHall door does not seal completely (see attached photo where the hall light is visible all around the closed door) but apparently it does lockLong hairs found in linens and pillowsDamage to walls and bathroom doorNonsmoking building but hall smells strongly of sweet smokeHousekeeping will still enter your room even if you’ve asked not to be disturbed There are no Do Not Disturb signs Was told to call (never did get a number) in the morning, every morning, to refuse minor housekeeping service of new towels and trash removal Specifically asked office in person to not be disturbed Staff ignored this request and entered room anywayOffice only activated cards for one night instead of three We were locked out of the building Had to get cards fixed but they said both were deactivated because of the credit card next to it in a wallet Because credit cards are strong magnates nowBuilding is right next to the highway but there have been absolutely no attempts to soundproof the window, walls, or door Could hear the midnight parking lot party Very clearly Extremely thin walls and ceiling/ floor You will know if an adjacent room has been rented Air conditioner works but is very loud and sounds like it needs maintenance, as does the wall next to itPoor Wi-Fi signal on ground floor close to office Pool out of service for chemical/ pump maintenance, office didn’t know when/ if it would be repaired It was not repaired during our visitAbsolutely no amenities except for small bar soap No coffee pot, no microwave, no refrigerator, no bath tub as was expected from the picturesCan only exit the motel directly onto a busy highway going out of townWe checked out a day early when I woke up to a bug crawling on my arm

Check in/out was easy, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable There are lots of great food options within walking distance but I highly recommend heading about a mile up the road to the little downtown shopping area We ate at Good Life on the Bricks and it was fantastic

There was only a small patch of grass to take my dog to do her business, but for a one night stop over, it was a fair priced, nice place to stay

Seems hypocritical You’re welcome

The management and office people are great! However, maid service is the reason for this review I have tried to upload the photo of this note, but it will not go through so I will explain I left a note which saidPlease do floors and wipe surfaces

Her response was ,”the counter top is ALL yours, and the sink YUCK”Now, not only is this the rudest, most ignorant thing I’ve seen, but this woman left a bottle of comet and a scrubberSo if you are staying here, get ready for this lady Clean your room before maid service comes How awful Shame on maid service

I travel for work and have stayed in kitchenette suites all over the Midwest so I think I’m kind of an expert maybe

My stays are at a minimum 12 nightsI honestly think it’s pretty nifty they crammed a kitchenette into a regular hotel room, kinda makes you wonder why more expensive hotels don’t But there’s a howeverA kitchenette suite implies that you intend to cook your own food and clean up after yourself The bar sink is barely big enough to wash a plate or two There’s no plates, silverware, nor utensils and pots/pans Which is weird because there IS a Full size fridge and a decent microwave The front desk doesn’t offer them either So if you’re on an extended stay, bring your own stuff The front desk offered me paper plates, thankfully Walmart is a short driveAlso, no complimentary soap/shampoo or continental breakfast, so again, bring your own And plan on packing your kitchen and bathroom ;)The plus side:I actually appreciate that it’s a motel – I can park right outside my door, and that’s super convenient! There’s a BBQ grill and seating area and a fitness room Huge laundry room with TV! No pool or hot tub, but is pet friendly I would bring my dog if I couldThe rooms on the ground floor are handicapped accessible, no elevator If you’re wheelchair bound (like my wife) be sure to ask for a step in shower, but bring your own shower chairOverall, I would definitely stay here again! Hope this helps

I’ve stayed here several times, but the hotel has gone downhill The rooms are dirty The air-conditioning is so noisy, there’s no way you can get any sleep

And if you shut the air conditioning off all you can hear is the noise off of the interstate No way you can get sleep here The Internet is ridiculously slow I am a lifetime titanium member of Marriott, with hundreds and hundreds of rooms that I’ve reviewed, and I would never stay here again If you’re headed west, go to the next town, and if you’re headed east, go to Kearney

A Grimm

Proving to me once again why Wyndham hotels suck and Marriott hotels are the best after a long day of drivingClean room, helpful staff, and an average continental breakfastWould of left 5 stars but the bathroom didn’t have a fan and the shower water pressure left something to be desired

AARON HEROLD

Safe and clean place to stay that is up to date The pool was closed due to some damage from the day before and the breakfast was a big let down with hardly anything good Premade sandwiches, waffles, and some cheese omelettes as well as breakfast pastries

I’ve had better at a hotel costing half the price of this Work on that detail

Could not get a king bed We travel with dogs but our pets are trained and we pick up after them The room smelled of urine

My dog found a rawhide chew from a previous tenant so that tells you the cleaning procedures are not as thorough If you want to sleep through the night this is not the place as we could here every arrival and departure Also found the window unlocked Must be to accommodate smokers The concierge was nice and helpful

Sarah Price

The hotel is conveniently located near the interstate We drive a semi-truck and there was parking nearby Check-in was quick & easy

The clerk was professional but not very friendly The room was clean but smelled funky (like musty smell slightly overpowered by cleaner smell) The bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked fine They had “hot” breakfast which consisted of cold eggs and room temp gravy for the biscuits There weren’t many other options Overall this hotel is mediocre, but like everything, you get what you pay for and the price was right

Lynetta Baker

Me and my wife just spent 2 days here and it was great! Bob the manager was terrific and gave us discounts, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the whole facility was very nice and the pool was clean and refreshing and the staff was very friendly The breakfast was good and we plan on staying here again, Would recommend this place to anyone, Can’t say anything negative, Thanks for having us, Mark & Lynetta Baker

Nice to support a locally owned business, reminded me of my parents former resortA actual key for the door, beds comfortable, simple & nice decor Clean room, cute walk in shower, nice breakfast area, great coffee

Friendly ownersAffordable and met our needs for our quick over night

Tegan Grzegorczyk

My husband and I happened to be driving through Nebraska, and are so glad we stopped here The owners are so friendly, and were kind enough to leave our key to our room out for us since we got there late at night The room was fully functioning, and had a good AC unit to help me sleep

There is breakfast in the front office, and we struck up good conversation with the owners I would 100% support this business and stay here again!

Kevin Meehan

We would definitely stay here again We were on a road trip from the Chicago burbs and made reservations online before arriving It was walking distance from a bar/restaurant area which meant we could leave the car in the lot

The breakfast was just what we neededcereal, coffee, toast, and fruit I had a great conversation with the owner about Henry Hill staying thereyes, from Goodfellas! It’s a little off the beaten path, but well worth it if you want to have some food from places other than the big chains

I don’t know why people leave such petty reviews for the most minor things This is an older hotel that has been updated for the most part The room was clean and updated

The tub and surround wasn’t but the shower head was new with good water pressure Signs at check in state no cleaning for stay overs Just ask They’ll give you anything you need The entire staff was friendly, very helpful, and you could tell that the maintenance and housekeeping staff we’re working their butts off Front desk was phenomenal as well The pool and spa, if you had bothered to ask, are being updated and repainted for a better experience It is under a recent ownership change and from what I could tell, since we were there all week while our semi truck was being repaired, improvements are being made Breakfast was good and there is 24/7 coffee

Craig Holstedt

The bed and pillows were very comfortable The morning breakfast was barely adequate I was quite surprised because Ramada Inn used to be a top quality chain

This appeared to be a poorly done flip of an older motel At first glance the rooms had been updated, but overall, they reminded me of the basic design of a 70s Holiday Inn Some of the remodeling work was poor The hot and cold water lines were evidently reversed on the shower spigot because when you turned it on you immediately got hot water, and the farther you turned the valve the colder the water was Our door was on the outside of the building The cement walkway outside or door was in serious disrepair One of our neighbors said when it trained, water came in under our door The hallway from the outside entrance to the main lobby had a very strong foul odor We will not be going back

David M

The room has been refurbished but it was sort of like lipstick on a pig The sleeping area/ main part of the room was fine and the beds were comfortable but the vanity and shower areas were not There has obviously been a water leak from above

We were on second floor so it was the roof not another room There was some sort of sticky (adhesive?) on the back edge of the vanity with dead flying insects caught in it The shower had been painted and the paint was coming off of the soap dishes The shower curtain rod was not mounted properly so it was sagging Just not a great experience
