The rude valet ruined our whole experience Guests shouldn’t be told “hurry up and get your stuff out of the car”, really ??! I paid $236 for one night at a hotel with substandard service He said this more than once even to my 17 year old nephew who was in the passenger seat

If I hadn’t already checked in, I would have driven away and went somewhere else The desk personnel were nice, but didn’t seem to care about how we were treated I wouldn’t stay here again ever Fellow travelers bypass this exit and keep driving

I frequently need to arrive in this area around 10 pm and leave at 4:30 so I’m always looking for a deal because this is basically just me having a nap

So far this is my favorite place I just found it last night I didn’t give it the fifth star because bathtub and the foyer could have used an upgrade and I was able to hear people in the adjoining rooms bathrooms and in the hall but all in all great for the money I’m definitely going to stay here again

Lesli Mitchell

I was very disappointed While thr front desk people were very kind, the service was really bad House keeping service was bad, even when we asked for AT LEAST every 3rd day

They cluttered the bathroom with extra towels and soaps everywhere so we couldn’t even put out daily necessities out There is not enough space for 12 towels, bath mats and washcloths It felt like a storage unit Dark water spots on the ceiling and the bed had a deep hole in the middle It was terrible on your back I do not recommend unless they replace the old mattresses, fix the ceiling and get housekeeping for every other day minimal

Lilly Valentin

Quiet little place tucked away on Route 7 The room was nice, the bathroom was nice, the mini bar was nice, everything worked as it should have Didn’t use the pool because you can smell the chlorine halfway down the hall BEFORE you get to the door

The pool water was as murky as LI Sound is year ’round Dropping 2 stars for the horrible pillows and the 2 sleepless nights I suffered as a result of the pillows And of course, the No Housekeeping Rule is in full effect here Just call the front desk at anytime if you need anything, they’ll tell you to come down and get it yourself! I remember when Hilton was an ACTUAL NAME with honor, prestige, and top quality everything!

Mother and I traveling through on our way to Pennsylvania and definitely got a sweet deal on a very cute hotel Looks like they are doing some renovations but the place is gorgeous and has an updated menu Staff was super friendly and chatty upon arrival and exit and the rooms were clean and quaint

A tad noisy from road noise but didn’t bother us much Had a great stay!

Teodona Bode

This place is wonderful! The food, especially the Mediterranean salad, is great! The conference rooms are air-conditioned, so you will always feel cool The hotel is right off the highway, clean, with a good amount of parking It is also just 5 minutes from the SoNo collection, as well as the rest of downtown Norwalk

The pool is a saltwater pool, which is also really nice Overall, great place to stay!

Kevin Johnston

Staff was average; some great and others out to lunch For the money of the room, and the price of breakfast, I would have expected a correctly taken order, bacon that wasn’t a day old, cold, and dry, and hash brown that wasn’t just a circle of Luke warm potato mush I was not the only one that complained and the staff were deer in headlights

Atmosphere of hotel is nice, apparently clean, and decently maintained

Located across from some of the office parks and apartments, this location is obviously used by business travelers and others passing through Norwalk They have clean rooms, reasonable rates for April, service is slower but they have few staffers, and parking free around the building Some room bookings come with meals, others don’t so check

Check-in was smooth online and picked up cards and left a deposit card of $20 Nice and easy Basic amenities if you need them like a toothbrush Bring your own water though, they charge $7 for each of the bottles in the room

Oluranti Oyetayo

You will never go wrong with this hotel Easy on and off highway access Traveled and stayed for 2 nights with an 8 year old and 2 year old

Close proximity to restaurants was greatly appreciated Room was very large, spacious with very comfortable bed All the staff we met from day 1 until check out were kind and helpful Loved the seamless check out via Bonvoy app on my phone Planning to return for April school vacation next year

margaret loughlin

We were a wedding group first night went outside by the long fire pit comfy chairs Normal laughing and talking adults enjoying our reunion nothing out of normal We were asked to sit inside for noise control why have a lovely outside patio for a group if not able to use it

The pool was very small and dirty cloudy brownish The room was clean and pleasant great staff

Beautiful hotel with cheerful and helpful staff They sold out of the smaller room we wanted, so we sprung for the Harbor View Suite – wow! It was a luxurious and relaxing experience, even for the 5 year old The big standout was the staff, they all seemed eager to solve problems and help us enjoy our staff

Alexander was a huge help right off the bat, assisting us with a tricky reservation issue Like every business in the service industry they are likely understaffed (as of Mar ’22), but they don’t seem stressed and all have a great attitude Highly recommend

We have been coming to The Delamar for years and the service is fabulous They have champagne upon arrival, the front desk is exceptional and the gorgeous lobby has a coffee barLocated on the water, it is worth the upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor

A fabulous spot to enjoy your morning coffeeI am giving The Delamar 5 stars because I know its potential and the way things were prior to Covid, but the hotel is showing some wear, especially in the bathrooms The coffee station on the 4th floor is no longer operational, and the we only had a verbal confirmation as there was a glitch with the computer system All first world problemsWe have booked our trip back to The Delamar this November and look forward to a comfortable stay

karen ditomo

We have stayed here twice so far, taking a break before returning to PA This hotel is beautiful and the cleanest hotel I have stayed in throughout the New England states It is pet-friendly with a park next door

I’m not sure why this Inn is listed as a 3 star hotel by Google – it is at least 45 star The location is peaceful and beautiful, the rooms are spacious and perfectly appointed (the bedding is amazing), the breakfast is not your typical continental – it is truly delicious

To top it off, the people that greet you and assist you during your stay are SO pleasant It is a wonderful nearby escape from NYC!

The In at GrayBarns is a popular hangout in Norwalk and for good reason I went for dinner on a Saturday night and we were seated promptly by the hostessService was great throughout the meal and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu items

For starters, we got the crab toast and kale salad – both were tasty and relatively easy to shareFor mains, my sister got the cheeseburger and fries and enjoyed it My wife got the halibut and also found it quite good I had the lobster which was flavorful, though I felt there could have been more provided for the costA good spot for a weekend dinner, but be sure to get your reservations early as they get taken rather quickly!

Mark LoGiurato

The newly restored tavern is a nice place to get a craft cocktail, or glass of beer or wine The atmosphere is very hospitable and creates a warm and friendly feeling The dining room looks good if not a bit acoustically challenged

I did not have any food so I will reserve comments until I have the opportunity to dine there Until I do, I recommend stopping by to see the new place and have a drink in the bar

Comfortable hotel, a litt strange if only for the fact for more conventional travelers that there was no face to face interaction for check in or check out Definitely will be double checking that I wasn’t double charged by some mistake of lack of communication between the booking site and this systemOtherwise it was very nice for a nights stop over

Decent bed and furnishings, quickly heated water for a shower, easy to access and use temperature controls

Lexie Griffith

This hotel had tons of potential with a cool look and a restaurant on site! I stayed here for a business trip and enjoyed my room, very clean and cool decor The restaurant was pretty yummy and easy, just steps from my door However, once I decided to call it a night, it was next to impossible to fall asleep with loud blaring music from the restaurant downstairs and skews of people yelling outside my window

There was also a terrible sewer smell somewhere nearby that filled my room even with all doors and windows closed I wanted to love it, but not being able to have a quiet enjoyment until the music stopped at 1am was not up to par for me

Marc Maertens (Home)

Higher end motel but certainly not a hotel Room is ok but needs more lightHuge issue and reason for low score is the very annoying constant loud noise from a generator or something similar we had in our room 311, coming from below

Impossible to sleep Called ‘reception’ but nothing could be done Did not care at allRecommendation: look elsewhere!!!!

Great experience Stayed here last week when power was out at home due to storm Despite it being a last minute walk-in booking, the staff was courteous, professional and accommodating

The room was very clean as well as the entire hotel Grab a quick bite the next morning on my way out from their grab and go bar which was full of healthy options I will definitely recommend to friends staying in town and will stay here again next time my power goes out!

Daniel Bayliss

A very interesting hotel experienceOverall the lobby was clean, and the staff very friendly But our online booking (through booking

com) never made it to the hotel (we had the email confirmation) Thankfully we got a room, though the hotel was almost fully booked, so we got luckyThe room itself was clean, but let’s just say, unusual It was filled with exercise gear, including yoga mats, exercise balls, and stretch bands There wasn’t much in the way of storage or desk area, but it was serviceable There were also signs noting fees for missing equipment (one of the yoga pieces were missing in our room, so make sure you let the desk staff know)But the bathroom had a completely ridiculous design decision- it has a frosted glass barn door which offers NO PRIVACY! There is text on the door that is see through, and someone else in the room can see right through Not to mention, any *sounds* are also wide open, sooThe TV also had an issue where it was completely frozen in the middle of a workout video The only way we were able to fix it was completely unplug everything , which we only figured out in the morningNot a bad stay, but likely wouldn’t be my first choice if I was picking again, unless we we had a special deal

Gloria Lee

Front desk staff is courteous, making check in process quick and easy Rooms clean & spacious with workout equipment Beds and bed linen were very clean, as well as the bathrooms

Best amenities are in the showermounted on the wall there’s scented body wash, shampoo/conditioner options which make your stay feel much more “at home” like Don’t hesitate to book your reservation here, you won’t be disappointed

Really great stay We booked the date night package Rose petals, chilled prosecco and a box of chocolates were in the room when I arrived

Everything about the room was very clean and orderly The room was in the back overlooking the water and train tracks I stayed on the weekend, but I’m not sure how often that train runs during the week so there is potential for some noiseCheck out was a little confusing as there was no one available at the desk, but I figured it out Easy parking I didn’t use any of the amenities (the rooftop bar/lounge was closed for renovation) Had a wonderful dinner at the attached restaurant!! Would definitely recommend

Isiah Norman

The rooms need to be updated as well as the pic on there site The root top looks nothing like the pic advertised There hallways smelled terrible

There consumer service sucks!! They should consider calling this a Motel Not Hotel zero Didn’t stay at the hotel but expected me to pay 279 for a hotel that has false advertisement!??! To only speak with a manger that decided that I would only get 75% of my money back I feel like I was robbed!

A fairly new hotel but absolutely beautiful The rooms are like apartment suites Absolutely massive and you feel like you could actually live there

The staff were fantastic and I got on with them all really wellThe hotel is right in the middle of SoNo which was fantastic for me as it was only a 2 minute walk to my officeThe breakfast was decent, not stunning but it was a good way to start the day and easy enough to just come downstairs, sit down, get your food and eat They could do with getting some proper bacon though like most places in America I’m English and I don’t know what that thin, crispy, stripy stuff isThe only negative about the hotel is that it is situated literally right next to the railway tracks My room faced out towards the tracks and you could hear the trains going past every 10 minutes and even through the night it kept waking me up I was told there was a white noise machine to block it out, which I tried, but it just got annoying for me after a while and didn’t really block it out that muchApart from the location of being next to the railway line, the hotel is pretty much faultless Would stay there again in a heartbeat even with the trains because it was so nice

Dear Mr LynchI am writing to thank you for a wonderful stay we had at your lovely property What a hidden gem Norwalk is, and you certainly have made it ever more wonderful

We stayed at your amazing property for 5 nights with my family We loved the room and location The breakfast was great, but certainly the highlight was the rooftop bar I have never seen any other residence inn with such a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant, which certainly elevated the level of your hospitality We loved watching the 4th of July fireworks from the rooftop and loved the trivia night you organized The restaurants around the hotel are amazing The health club/gym you have is wonderful We loved everything about your wonderful hotel and staff, and we cant wait to be backThanks and kind regards

Mary Jo Inglis Bonin

I had an excellent 3 night stay here while in Connecticut for work My room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed Everyone at the front desk was friendly and very helpful, as were the valet staff

The garage is self-park when it isn’t full, and valet parked when they need to double park cars I was a little stressed about this as I had a very busy schedule for work, but my car was available to me each morning at the time I requested with no delays Yes, there is a train very close by, but it did not bother me one bit Highly recommend this hotel, and I look forward to staying here again when I am back in CT
