My husband and I love The Heron Inn and Day Spa! Alvin and Lola(his cute dog) are the very best every time we visit The rooms are always spotless and you can tell staff here take it seriously and work really hard to provide the best for everyoneWe love hanging out at the fireplace and enjoying coffee and tea before we go to bed

Breakfast is healthy, and fresh and I’m not sure if we book it for the wonderful rooms and people or for the breakfast Thank you so much everyone at The Heron!

The room was clean and the inn itself is accommodating and quiet The bed was pretty uncomfortable but I feel like the beds at hotels and inns are rarely idealI’m putting 3 stars mostly due to mine and my spouses spa experience

We paid for 2 different packages and were not impressed by what we received I got a mini facial and a 60 minute massage and he received the head to toe package My facial was probably the saddest facial experience I’ve ever had She cleansed my face and put a sheet mask on it and called it a day The facial was supposed to be 30 minutes but most of that I sat there with a sheet mask on My spouse got the head to toe which is supposed to include a scalp massage and the massage therapist spent maybe 3 minutes on his scalpThe inn is cute and we love the town but will forgo the spa experience

We went here for our honeymoon in July From the first moment, Alvin was solicitous, kind, and knowledgeable He moved us to a bigger bed – without us even asking – and even printed out restaurant menus for us when we were searching for seafood (his two recommendations, Nell Thorn & La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib, were delicious!) The room (21) was spacious, comfortable, had a fridge, had adjustable window unit for AC and a rotating fan, and was clean

It wasn’t too noisy despite being on the second floor Breakfast was tasty – scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, and English muffins, with fruit and yogurt Parking was easy and free Everything was within walking distance and there was even a cherry tree outside our window I highly recommend this slow-paced, friendly slice of tranquility Thank you Alvin and Kam for your hospitality!

We came with little expectation as we haven’t had great experiences at other hotels but we were very impressed This is definitely one of the nicer 3 star hotels We had a corner family room which was very spacious

My parents had the corner room across from us and it had water viewGreat stay for little kids as rooms are big and toilet has a separate space from sinkBreakfast was great since the town isn’t awake at 8Very friendly staff all day

Terry Chiles

Nicely located to downtown La Conner with access to harbor, shops and restaurants Walking through town, plaques on homes and businesses reference historical valueLa Conner Country Inn’s Deluxe King room does not qualify as Deluxe

While the bed was comfortable and the room clean, it provided a shower without tub option A closet was used to house coffee pot and mini-fridge but no microwave without space to hang clothes Lighting was largely on vaulted ceiling track with no way to direct lights Bed lamps and a floor lamp did not give adequate light for readingBreakfast choices were oatmeal, dry cereal, boiled egg, bread that had the option of toasting and muffin bits (I think)Several flights of stairs to get to room may be difficult if luggage is plentiful and/or weighty No elevatorsThe Inn had a certain charm, but needs updating Price is not reflective of amenities offered

Lawrence Stoyanowski

We loved our stay here! The staff went above and beyond I had a zoom presentation to do for a training for University Students and they set me up in a board room were I could make my call from Really really appreciated it

Great pet friendly rooms Spacious, clean, modern and comfortable! We will be back I encourage others to give them a shot!! Love La Connor!!

Becky Purser

The hotel is lovely; it’s feels new, crisp, and clean The colors and decor are very well done Bedding was comfortable

Just be aware, our room was very small-just barely enough room to walk around the bed-and according to our bill, we had a “deluxe king suite” It was in no way a suite, just a tiny room with a closet area that had a fridge and microwaveThe desk clerk that checked us in was very friendly and efficient No one was on duty when we left and the front door was locked during “off hours” so after you drop your key in the slot, you can’t get back in the buildingI would happily stay here again and recommend it

Lou Z.

Very good place to stay in Anacortes Nice new facility I would suggest getting a room with 2 queen beds even if you’re a traveling couple, they are a bit more roomy than the King rooms, at least the rooms we had, one of each

The hotel is between a neighborhood area and a dental office that’s on the main dragVery quiet and we had a view of the marina/water, cascade mountainsWonderful family that owns/runs it, super friendly! You can also walk to a donut shop and carry out Walkable to marina area and a nice park with a nice playground We also found the beds and pillows very comfortable!

Kevin Gantz

I am a regular business traveler (Hilton Diamond member) and I would not recommend this hotel for a business trip My co-worker and I checked in on Monday and told the desk clerk at that time that we were going to need to head back to Seattle 1 day early due to some changes in our business schedule We asked specifically if we would be charged for the 1 night that we would not be staying at the hotel

He said he would have to check with the manager There was no follow-up and we mistakenly assumed that we would not be charged I have regularly dropped a night from other business trips (with 24 hour notice) at Marriott and Hilton properties and it has never been charged to my bill On Wednesday night before we were to checkout, my co-worker asked the clerk for our bill and discovered that we were being charged for 4 nights instead of 3 (even though we notified the hotel over 72 hours prior of our plans to check out early) The hotel policy states: “your reservation may be cancelled without penalty if you cancel 72 hours before the check-in date If you cancel within 72 hours before the checkin date, you will be charged for the full amount” In my opinion, we did not “cancel” our reservation, as we told them up front we planned to stay 3 nights and not 4 And the front desk clerk should have known the hotel policy and should have communicated to us that we would be charged for the entire stay I called the hotel manager, and she was not willing to budge on the issue We will not be back and we will make sure that our business partner in the area ( a very large industry ) understands the effort that we went to to resolve this issue and how poorly management handled our business

We stayed here about 4 months ago and are going back tonight while visiting Oak Harbor Our experience with The Coachman Inn has been wonderful This is now our go-to place when traveling in this part of Washington

The staff are friendly, the rooms are very clean and cozy Excellent beds! Although it’s a little motel, the decor is so well done it brings on the feeling of a quaint German town style, which gives it a fun and unique feel We look forward to our stay this weekend again, and have no doubt we will have a lovely stay, as always!

J Fost

My room was super clean, bed was very comfortable and location is perfect The staff was professional and friendly you can tell these folks take a ton of pride in their business, a rare trait Truly restores my faith in humanity!!! Real fast was wonderful and I would gladly stay here again

I highly recommend to anyone wanting a top quality nights rest!! A++

Crystal Riches

It is an adequate place to stay that is close to restaurants and the beach It is pretty outdated and the pool is very small for the amount of rooms The complimentary breakfast was literally Jimmy Dean sandwiches and store bought items

They did have fresh waffles which was niceThe AC units don’t reach the separate bedrooms and made sleeping very uncomfortable and loud with the window openThe amenities were clean and enjoyable, nonetheless

Stayed here lose night in a room with a hot tub it was a “nicer” room it was ok No ac very hot on the room, the outside looks like it was nice and maintained before Covid not to great now it was cute but not as seen in the pictures on website The hot tub jets wouldn’t turn on to regulate the temp so couldn’t use it due to how hot the water was when I called they said they would have someone look at it in the morning I checked out before anyone came

Not really worth the money and no food for miles

R K

It’s the little cost-cutting measures that give this a 2 Not sure if Covid is to blame, but management appears to be cutting back on some big and little things For example, landscaping: bushes needed to be trimmed, especially on the cement staircase leading down to the waterfront, which in the shape it’s in now makes it almost impassible and dangerous

There was only one small trash can in the room located in bathroom, nowhere to put your soap in the shower, just these funky left-behind brackets that used to hold the free shampoo conditioner body wash This inn is pretty much a serve yourself, self checkin/out, no services, breakfast is minimal but tasty enough The place is old but parts of the rooms have been remodeled But a big PLUS is sitting on the porch and listening to the waves and watching the tide run thru the channel Rates for what you get are high with a restrictive refund/cancellation policy

Brian Barnes

ROOM 8 no view $243 with tax This is a nice large room, but it is only 10 feet from the main road

We could hear every car as they splashed through the puddle of water just outside our wall Most of the cars were going really fast and there are no streetlights It was concerning that they were so close Many loud cars, trucks and motorcycles would wake us up as they went buy Since this room extends out from the main building toward the road, I believe it would be the only room with a noise problem It also has a hot water issue because it is so far away from the other rooms It took 5 minutes to get hot water and then there was only 5 minutes available to take a shower before the water went cold The shower stall is very small and if you drop the soap, as I did, it was hard to pick up and I am 6 feet and 155 pounds There are 3 space heaters in the room that cycled on and off during the night and it took a little getting used to as they were on the right and left side of the bed and in the bathroom The TV was nice, but the volume and mute controls don’t work and we don’t like to listen to commercials so it was irritating to have to get up and turn the volume down manually for the commercials each time Since this was a prepaid program, we never saw any Camano Inn personnel during our stay and relied on the combination codes to get into the room and the Inn We checked in at 9PM and out at 10 AM We would not stay in this room again

I landed at the Candlewood Suites after a pipe burst in my home forcing me and my 80 year old mother out to a motel This place was great, with clean rooms, friendly and well organized staff who were very helpful if we needed something The motel despite being pet friendly smelled fresh and even being as full as it was, the rooms were quiet and peaceful

I didn’t have any real negative experiences, so I give them a well deserved 5 stars!Rooms 103 & 106

Marc Hendel

Everything about this hotel was great The staff was very friendly and got to know us during our stay The hotel was very clean as were all of the contents of the suite

Free laundry was a bonus and the machines were newer and clean Even their little honor system store was nice Prices were actually reasonable and items can be charged to your room I would highly recommend this hotel

Mark Todd

Typically a 4 star Comfortable bed Good bathroom

Large fridge Small kitchen2 issues addressed were electric stove burner fell apart (fixed immediately) and ice maker in freezer did not work, (were given a bag of ice and the ice maker was fixed when we returned from outing) Issue not fixed but did not inform, door to room sticks hard, you have to really force it to openKudos to staff for fixing things right away but at the very least, they should have known the stove was broke and the door was stuck Housekeeping would have known simply trying to enter and cleaning the stove Housekeeping needs to relay issues to management to address They are the front lines of the rooms being properly ready If they did indeed report it, management needs to get on the ball and address these issuesWe would definitely stay here again and do recommend if you’re staying in the area, especially having a kitchen

Road Tripper

I love the whole Victorian feel of Port Townsend and the Water Street Hotel carries through on it Very nice old time (with modern conveniences) hotel Be prepared for the steps if you’re on the 3rd floor

Very cool interior with red plush carpeting that keeps with the Victorian theme Exploring the hotel found that it offers spectacular views from some of the balcony areas The lobby also offered up a few trinkets to remember your stay

Jennifer Forsberg

This place was absolutely beautiful The room was huge and perfect the windows were stunning the view was just absolutely beautiful Completely worth the money even given the stairs

ROFL if you stay on one of the upper floors be mindful of the stairs but they are in absolutely no way a deterrent I’d climb those stairs a thousand times to stay in that room! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay my husband and I had a great time in Port Townsend!

Debbie Terwilliger

Love this place! Stayed only one night in room #11, which faced onto Water Street, which was surprisingly quiet (even with our window open) Room was large, high ceilings, comfortable queen bed Cool antique furniture

The whole place reminds me of my nana’s brownstone in Brooklyn (built around the same time I’m sure) The staff was very friendly and helpful We’d definitely stay there again

Stayed one night a while back, room was clean and had no unusual smells Bed was comfortable, but the best part was their hot breakfast Not many places have started that back up and I miss it, the food was typical for hotel breakfast, but tagged better because I missed it

Staff was friendly and helpfulI have 4 stars because there was noise from kids and other rooms Thin walls appear to be the new way to save a dollar on building cost, but other than the nose it was a good stay Good enough that I’m staying again this weekend

Jeff & Annie Calhoun

Pet friendly which was a big deal for my stay and they made sure my pup was as welcomed as we were Rooms were very clean, spoke with housekeeping outside of our room and they were so polite and helpful to our needs! The breakfast was great bonus and my only issue is with other pet owners, clean up after your pets! We will be back soon and will definitely make this our place to stay!

Chris Mills

They have a nice clean smell that they pump through the air ducts, so it smells pleasant and clean everywhere Rooms are basic, but clean Found a to go box of food in the back top of the refrigerator that wasn’t ours, so I have to deduct a little for that

The pool was nice, but small and a little cold and the hot tub was nice, but more like a “very warm” tub and the jets seemed to actually make it feel slightly less warm The three coffee carafes that were still out in the lobby in the evening we’re all empty, except one that was one cup from empty and seemed to be left over from the morning There were no other beverages offered in the lobby except water from a drinking fountain Overall nice, but packing in some of the finer details

We stayed in a cozy cabin

which was just that, a cozy cabin Our daughter and son-in-law stayed in the king suite, which was charming and very spacious, but they said lacked a few expected amenities ie: lovely writing desk, but no paper or pen lolThe staff was very motivated towards making our stay as comfortable as possible, so, overall a good value and a very nice accommodation 👍

Bennita Durrenberger

So my mom and dad just checked out of here They didn’t even stay their one night The room was advertised as a king room with a jacuzzi tub, this being their first time and a date weekend they figured it would be great

They were wrong They arrived to find that the tub was slightly above the size of an average tub and the beds were hard as rocks and not a king size When my mom went to inquire about why the jacuzzi was so small and why the bed was smaller then advertised she was told she was wrong Again when my mom inquired about a manager she was told that the establishment was recently bought out and the new manager was never on site To the extent that the front desk didn’t even know her name My parents resigned to stay as when they asked to be moved to different accommodations they were told they would have to pay the cost of their orgional reservations plus the cost of the new room My parents returned to their room and decided to be okay with it until no tv remote of towels could be found d in their room This place is false advertising I have no doubt it used to be great but not anymore

This is the most delightful place to stay The rooms are gorgeous and clean with very thoughtful touches like makeup remover towels The staff was very accommodating of my grandma who required a wheelchair access room

They remembered her and followed up at breakfast to make sure she was taken care of Everyone there is extremely kind and caring and the breakfast was next level good The morning I was there I was able to try a fresh frittata and blueberry French toast in addition to fresh baked muffins and fresh fruit The lobby and common areas are so cute and well decorated I can’t wait to return The vibe is so comfortable and sweet It feels like coming home

Although I have stayed there before a few x years ago and liked it ,Today I went in to inquire about a room I appealed to the woman informing her that I’d had a very hard ( loss) today and would it please be ok if I looked at a room prior to booking as I “really need the privacy and to be comfortable tonight ” she was so horribly rude saying it’s “against the rules”I said “Human to human, woman to woman, could I just peek in with you from the hallway? She snapped back NOI asked if she was the manager

She said It’s “MY business and NO due to Covid”?? (She wasn’t wearing a mask)Then she added there’s no room here anywayI told her she was incredible rude and callous and I’d never book here againWhat’s become of regular manners and empathy? I’m a senior and was clearly calm with a calm voice but visible tears

My wife and I had a wonderful experience during our one night stay The view from the room was better than expected, the bed/pillows were comfortable (we are picky) and the bathroom was very well appointed Breakfast was served in our room

Hosts took care of my special dietary request and also brought us a refill on coffee The stairway down to the water was unexpected and fun Location is close to Cama Beach State Park

had some concern going in about possible road noise and/or noise from other occupantsnever once did I hear anything from another roomand since the town basically shuts down between 7 and 9, there was virtually no road-noise to be hadThe cookies that they leave for the guests are out-of-this-world fantasticbreakfasts are fantasticoverall just a very memorable and relaxing stay Love this place

This place is amazing The inn is very quaint and well decorated We stayed in the Captains Quarters

I recommend this suite if you’re staying a few days It is very spacious! Jessica the owner is an amazing baker and leaves cookies for you every day And they are delicious!!! Also the mornings are pleasant since you have breakfast and yes you guessed it, Jessica the owner makes you breakfast Her breakfast is plentiful and very good She’s also very nice and had great conversations with her The grounds are super nice with outdoor seating and heaters They even provide blankets if it’s a little cold out It is located in a very great spot for traveling in/out but may be a bit noisy due to the proximity of the road The road noise didn’t really bother us though You can tell the owner is really passionate about what she does She made our short stay very special We would give 10 stars if we could

Great location on the Swinomish channel in La Conner with views of the passing boats and occasionally eagles The queen bed rooms are reasonably spacious with small decks overlooking the waterfront The bed was very comfortable

The furniture and accessories are upscale We found the staff to be engaging, capable, and informative Breakfast was included, and very good Highly recommend

Gene McAndrew

Disappointed Paid a high price for the weekend and when I got to my room I was let down I have a view of the parking lot

$650 view of the parking lotThe room has oversized chairs that dominate the room and make it next to impossible to enjoy the fire place in the room The bathroom is small and very hotI thought I was going to enjoy my stay but now every time I return to this room I feel as if I was tricked into paying full price for a half price room

Such a unique and memorable stay! The amenities are all above average, but what you’re really paying for is the experience of such atmospheric rooms and an A+ location This is located right in the heart of Port Townsend (three blocks from the ferry) and within walking distance of so many cute shops and restaurants I loved soaking in the history and watching ferries come in and out while enjoying a quiet cup of tea in my room

Beautiful place!

My teens and I spent 3 nights at The Palace Hotel last week and I can’t say enough good things about this unique hotel Spotlessly clean, filled with history and antiques, cozy communal sitting nooks filled with books We stayed in a loft room which was more modern, beautifully decorated to incorporate the original exposed brick, a kitchen with everything you need

Every time we walked the many staircases to our room (no elevator = good workouts) we enjoyed looking at the art and furnishings All the hotel amenities you need but with the warm and cozy feeling of staying at grandma’s house Will definitely return

Rashmi J

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the palace hotel Check-in was a breeze and they call you in advance to collect details which makes things so much easier The parking lot is right behind the hotel which is convenient

The rooms are so beautiful and charming and even though the hotel is old, it is very well maintained and clean Will certainly stay here again! Just a heads up, there is no elevator but they communicate that right at the beginning so we were prepared
