AWFUL EXPERIENCEWe booked the King Bed room at the Las Olas B&B to ensure we get the most comfortable room If we are taking the time to write this review, it’s because we were very disappointed by the quality of the room and by the serviceFirst of, no breakfast was offered, even though the website clearly indicated it that it was included in the price

The place is called a Bed and Breakfast after all! Covid or not, they could think of another way to compensate for the situation, that’s what all other B&B and hotels are doingWe were also welcomed into a room smelling of must and humidity, evidently coming from the bathroom where we found mold Ventilation in the bathroom only worsened the smell and given its appearance, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned nor checked in agesThe big disappointment was also the King Bed (supposedly the best room they have) which was broken!! The springs at the bottom were completely messed up leaving a big whole at the bottom of aware mattress We have never encountered such a bad bed before, not even in lower grade hostels! The pillows were also old and not comfortableNot to mention that at our arrival, there were towels missing and no toilet paperwe had to call and wait for someone to come bring them to usWhat probably worsened the situation is that there was heavy rain when we were staying there which did not help with the humidity smell After two days, the smell in the room was no longer bearable We found ourselves having no other choice but to leave Las Olas B&B We explained the situation to the host and he promised he would refund the remaining 3 night we had booked (see email exchanges in photos)Three months later, despite numerous reminder emails, we still have not received the refund and we are no longer getting any responses to our emailsIn short, HORRIBLE rooms and TERRIBLE customer experience If you want to have a decent time, we do not recommend that you stay at Las Olas B&B

Dan was incredibly nice in trying to make my stay more comfortable but I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience here The building is very old, outdated and the walls are extremely thin I had trouble sleeping every night because of how loud all the neighbors were — the people staying above me consistently played music at 3 and 4 am

(Dan did ask them to keep it down and be more considerate) My room smelled of mildew and the bathroom smelled like a public restroom — I had to go out and buy candles to try to make it better I wish they could take some time to renovate the building and the rooms because it has a lot of potential to be cute I will not be staying here again

We lucked into a reservation here at the last minute for New Years Eve The accommodations were an excellent value for the money The guest house was easy to find and in a great location

Everybody was friendly, the facilities and pool were clean and well kept Not a place for rowdy kids or stuffy old folks Guests were mixed ages, genders, orientations and backgrounds, lending to a very “all-welcome” feeling

This was a great place to stay! The room was very clean and comfortable There was an air conditioner you could control and a huge TV with cable The room was cleaned daily and we received fresh towels (including beach towels) every day

The hotel itself was small and quiet There were beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and beach toys that you could check out for free The pools were clean and beautiful The staff was really welcoming and attentive On top of that, the location is amazing It is within 5 minute walking distance of a juice bar, a bakery, and a coffee shop, as well as lots of restaurants It was also a 10 minute walk to the Bonnet House Museum (highly recommend), as well as Hugh Taylor Birch State Park It was steps from the beach as well! I would definitely stay here again!

I had stayed there this past weekend for a 5 day vacation and was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this place is We had come last year and stayed at an even smaller motel which was a good experience but we’re all not high maintenance and our expectations were exceeded by Premiere hotel! The staff was all so kind, the rooms were spacious We had a kitchenette which was really nice

The ac worked pretty well, it was super clean and the grounds were well kept Daily maid service, the location was phenomenal! 60 second walk from your door and you’re at the beach There was free breakfast which was a great touch! Lastly, my boyfriend ended up proposing and working with the hotel and a flower shop He said the hotel was so nice and they even set up the display in the pictures! 11/10, would highly recommend this place We will be back!

I have been staying here for years If you choose this place you for sure won’t be let downWishing I was still there The hotel lives up to the beautiful pictures Location is great Staff is friendly and helpful My room was cleaned daily and came with a mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker (w/coffee packs, sugar, creamer packets) along with 2 full table place settingsThere’s a market around the corner which made for easy simple groceries for our stay Most important my bed was very comfortable I’m totally staying here the next time I visit

Perfect location, 1 block from the beach Nice looking property and nice size pool plus other amenities onsite Entire staff is wonderful

Ramona, the manager, is so personable and accommodating She went above and beyond to assist with my check-in and check-out (thank you!!) Rooms have a 70’s feel, but all modern kitchen appliances Spacious room and balcony Definitely will stay here again!

Thomas Trapp

Location, location, location Room was clean, but a bit dated The pool was nice

Liked the game room, even if the games were a little junky Sauna was nice Hot tub was closed (due to construction, I think?) Would have been nice if they would have let us leave our luggage there while we waited for our room to be ready, but the room was ready hours early which was great All in all this place was perfect for our needs thanks to being clean and a 1 min walk to the beach

A N

I loved staying here because of the close proximity to the beach and the decent amenities However I’m taking off 1 star for the loudness of the staff in the hallways They were great with making sure my room was taken care of, but they were quite loud in the hallway and my coworkers could hear them over a Zoom meeting

It was quite embarrassing I believe the loudest was the lady who looked Indian/West Indian She was nice though

This was a great hotel stay! We really enjoyed the beautiful 2 Queen suite which was very spacious It had huge TVs which was great for watching the NFL playoff games We enjoyed the rooftop bar and pool area, as we were here to celebrate a birthday

The front desk team were very accommodating especially Allen and Terrell Although we did not use valet service, the valet team very polite and engaging in conversation especially Rowan We’ll definitely be back!!

Sherray Utley

The whole experience was terrible I checked out early and was unable to even complete my stay there because the experience was just that horrible The hotel staff were not hospitable and not what I am accustomed to experiencing from the Marriott brand

The room smelled bad Our concerns about the smell were not adequately addressed The first night they stated they could only clean the room but they were unable to move us to a comparable room since they were at capacity for the night The next day the hotel staff said that they would need to do an assessment of the room before moving Ridiculous! They then say they still are unable to move us and offered to clean the room again, which I was not interested in then having to stay in the same room where they are spraying with tons of cleaning products, also while our luggage is still in the room The manager followed up later on that day Finally, the manager told us that they would move us to another room on the same floor The manager stated she would leave a note with the front desk staff However, the communication between the managers and the front staff was horrible Once we were packed and were ready to move to the different room the front desk staff acted as if they had no idea what we were referring to They said they had no comparable rooms available I asked to speak with the manager and they advised they already left for the night Eventually, they “magically” found us a comparable room, but it wasn’t on the same floor as they promised Actually, the new room was now on the lower third level close to the highway, where we can hear the highway traffic all night long I imagine this wouldn’t have been an issue if the hotel had double pane windows The next morning we speak to the manager of the hotel and he is condescending, ignores our concern, and makes tons of excuses instead of apologizing for the many inconveniences we experienced during our stay After that encounter, I checked out early I moved to a full service Marriott hotel in the area And the experience was night and day I received much better treatment after moving to another hotel This Courtyard location needs to ensure they are adequately cleaning their rooms, especially if they are a pet friendly hotel But most of all, they need to learn to treat their customers with respect As a Marriott Gold elite member I’ve never experienced this type of treatment and horrible customer service I would never recommend staying at this hotel

Eric Gotham

This has been a pleasant surprise  For the price, I was expecting something a little more aged but it looks brand new   Even though its new,  the staff really knows what they’re doing – all very pleasant, busy, kind, etc

Rooms are clean and spacious with large windows and televisions  Modern lighting controls and plenty of charging ports The lobby is contemporary, yet inviting It has a convenient little “store” for snacks and drinks  The restaurant, coffee shop and bar on the lobby level are OK – kinda the only thing that’s missed the mark Dinner is far better than breakfast The food portions are small and quality is so so (it’s a hotel, I get it) The real bummer is they say it’s not part of the hotel, so you cannot charge your room for meals or drinks  Same with the roof top bar

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your resort This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area

I have been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you for sure won’t be disappointedAfter a nightmare experience with an AirBnb (never again) we came to the Westin Fort Lauderdale at 3 in the morning and were greeted by one of the most excellent customer service representatives we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, Nicole She made our check-in effortless, quick, and ensured that our stay here would be a fantastic one We had a car rental, so the location was extremely convenient (right off the highway) and several miles away from major boulevards and beaches The hotel is excellent, clean, welcoming, the staff are great and helpful The pool is refreshing and nice (although we wish it was heated), and the grounds are fantastic The only criticism I would have is that the pillows could be a bit firmer (or at least an option) and the pool should be heated Otherwise, the hotel is highly recommended, thanks again to Nicole!

Please be aware that this hotel is gradually being renovated You may not get a newly renovated room, and that makes a world of differenceThe first time we stayed here, it was great! The room looked fresh and was very clean

We decided to book a second time (for longer) based on that first experience, and it’s like we’re in a different hotel entirely this time The carpet is old and there are bare footprints all over it from the previous guests — no one had vacuumed the room when we arrived It’s dirty, outdated, and smells oddly perfume-y and damp There is what looks like a blood stain on one of the pillow cases and the couch is stained and faded It’s clear that the room we were assigned to this time isn’t one of the renovated onesThe only reason we are staying tonight is that we checked in very late after a long cross country flight Despite our reservation being non-refundable we will be moving to a new hotel tomorrow Yuck! Avoid this place unless you enjoy the thrill of not knowing what you’re paying for

Our server, she was great and the breakfast was perfect and delicious (forgot to take food pics) Morning beverage selection was excellent and many choices Eggs Benedict we’re perfect, side of fruit, side of bacon, orange juice and Cappuccino Nothing disappointed and my spouse felt the same way We will go again

MICHELLE SHERRER

Stayed with my 19 year old daughter for two days at the end of our spring break We loved the spacious room with a balcony and 3 large windows that gave an incredible ocean view Every employee and other guests we encountered were kind and pleasant

Outstanding live music and good food with reasonable prices Beach chairs and umbrellas seemed plentiful and included We didn’t care for the very small pool and lazy river which would probably be better appreciated by families Desperately needs an adult only hot tub and larger pool

This has become our new happy place!! It’s SO clean, the staff is amazing and accommodating, the grounds are beautifully kept, the rooms are luxurious and comfortable and the views are incredible at any hour of the day! The location is perfect – we never bother renting a car because everything is in walking distanceI love how the owners of this family run business take the time every day to connect with their guests – they could be seen early in the morning resetting the pool chairs and stopping to chat and check in with people, sitting with new arrivals or those getting ready to depart in the lounge area by the office, or just being present every day You can see and feel their passion for this resort and their desire to provide every guest with a positive experience

The team – from the office staff to the grounds keepers to the housekeepers were all incredibly friendly and are clearly treated well by the owners We had a battery issue with our in-room safe and they immediately came and rectified it – with a smile and friendly conversationI could go on and on about how lovey this resort is but I think you get the picture It ticks off all of the boxes for being a super high quality, well run, spotless and fabulous place Like Maureen in the office says, “if you can’t be happy here – you’re probably not happy anywhere!”

These reviews have to be fake…I was debating between this place and Sea Lord and chose CBTS based on the reviews stating it was relaxing and the owners were friendly It is neither of these things The owner acted annoyed when she had to check me in and I never saw her again until I checked out a week later and was snapped at to just push the keys under the office door when I tried to talk to her

Let’s talk about the noise It is constant Nonstop traffic and trashy families screaming/fighting by the poolThe bed was comfortable That’s itAs far as value, extremely disappointing to say the least I went to Paris three months later and stayed in a four star hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower that cost less than this placePerhaps I just don’t understand Florida…

Overall our stay here has been very pleasant I have a beautiful view of the ocean from my balcony and that’s what I wanted when I booked this resort The staff are incredibly nice and helpful

My 6 year old grandson had an issue getting a toy we bought for him out of the packing The front desk clerk helped us The beach staff really lovely It’s in a quiet section of Lauderdale by the Sea with a 3 block walk to all the action on Commercial where there are many restaurants and live music On the negative the rooms do smell Someone said like a wet dog that sounds about right ! They are very sparse not even a coffee maker or bottle of water in the room and no room service so you can’t call for aCoffee when you get up in the morning However I was told you can get water at the front desk and we did The website I booked through said it had been renovated in 2017 It is in serious need of it now Very run down I would stay here again but I seriously hope they remove the carpets in the room and add a coffee maker

Had a really enjoyable staycation here Rooms are big and the layout is like a loft The bathrooms are clean and super modern, shower was amazing

There’s a good restaurant/bar connected to the hotel and a rooftop patio Pool and jacuzzi were both great Definitely a fun place to stay, and still close enough to Ft Lauderdale Beach to feel like you’re staying there

M F

The nice smell you walk into the building to doesn’t disappear until you walk out the door which adds to a great experience Rooms are clean and staff are friendlyI would recommend some adjustments:1

put some chairs on the balconies so we can enjoy the view2 the beds are not facing the TV so it’s a little hard to watch something3 Only 1 chair in the room, maybe add a second chair

Great place to stay with family My kids had something to do everyday on the resort I love that we were able to also use the amenities of the nearby Wyndham resorts as well that was on the beach

I liked the pools and water slide for the kids Sitting by the pool was nice with evening live singers/bands The rooms was spacious and clean I enjoyed my stay immensely

Elizabeth Powers

I gave 4 stars for the rooms because they’re a bit outdated but extremely well maintained Service was outstanding from all departments The employees respect their duties and the visitors

Location was great also with every and anything close by I only gave it 4 stars because I had to commute to and from Miami at 45-60 minutes each way, but I knew that prior to booking my stay Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable and relaxing stay at a very well kept and friendly resort

Christina Sutton

We ended up at this hotel at the last minute because our original accommodation was

gross This hotel was beautiful We had a huge room with a kitchenette and beautiful view Short walk to restaurants and entertainment we enjoyed a late dinner outside while listening to live blues from a neighboring business If I was spending the week in Fort Lauderdale, I’d definitely stay here again

Anthony Falls

Stayed here two nights before a cruise in February 2022 Prices were astronomical in the city and I was able to use Marriott Points to redeem my stay (instead of $600+CDN night) I really enjoyed my stay at this property

The view of the Intracostal water from my room was fantastic The bed was very comfortable! They provide a complimentary breakfast which was delicious I was very impressed The location is about a 15-minute walk to the beach and the pool area at the hotel was good

Essence Clayton

Only stayed one night The water view, sky view, and lights view is nice My room wasn’t as clean as I expected

The lamp shade had blue coloring on it The balcony wasn’t as clean, the bathroom floor wasn’t as clean either They have no pancakes or waffles for breakfast, but the eggs wasn’t that bad Coffee not for my taste The Bar has limited options, didn’t see a poolside Bar as it was advertised on Priceline I didn’t think it was worth me paying over $250 for the room

Came here for our first vacation after Covid My wife was an essential worker so we didn’t vacation for 3 years Tania at the front desk was amazing she talked us into an amazing upgrade that was ocean front

She knew exactly what we needed She truly was a breath of fresh air after some travel issues Our room was ready as soon as we arrived to the hotel and was able to go straight to the pool for some relaxation Jasmine at the pool was our server she was so attentive and funny as hell She definitely also gave great recommendations of the neighborhood Hotel is beautiful clean and smell amazing we will be back

My fiance and I stayed here for a much needed get away from the cold We couldn’t have been happier with the service and the amenities the hotel provided Our ocean room view was beautiful! I had a day at the spa which was amazing and very reasonably priced compared to other resorts I’ve stayed at

Our last day we got a beautiful cabana at the pool (also reasonably priced) with impeccable service We will definitely come back!

We had the best time at this resort and will be back again! When we first booked we were hesitant about the beach being across the street It is still so close and wasn’t an issue at all The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful

They even surprised us with bubbly in our room for our anniversary Everything is in walking distance so we didn’t touch our car the whole stay The hotel restaurants are fantastic, pool views are beautiful and or ocean view balcony view was the best We love this resort and highly recommend it!

Avoid Junior Suite 103!I spent a couple of days at the Sun Tower Hotel, before flying home to the UK The hotel location on the beach, and the rooms and facilities are all good – but the doors both onto the corridor and onto the deck are so ill-fitting that room insulation is non existent

I booked 2 nights into a junior suite / room 103, which has a larger sea-view terrace – it is also next to the kitchen and restaurantI was woken both nights at exactly 04:20 by the noise of 2 kitchen stewards creating the weirdest, loudest, repetitive squeaking noise, as they scraped down the floors and kitchen appliancesThe second night I walked into the kitchen and complained, and to be fair they did stop what they were doingThe issue here is the insulation – a door that fitted into its frame, and the inclusion of a second internal door, inside the suite, would go a very long way to improve the noise insulation, of a room which is being sold at a premium because of the large deck onto the beachSuite 101 and 102 would not be affected by this noise problemThere were plenty of plusses, the beach location, and the comfy bed and large deck were great, and the little beach cafe was excellent, serving up good quality, simple dishes from 09:00 through until 21:00

This was my second time staying at this hotel the first time was over 10 years ago and 10 years later this hotel is still great! Our room was very clean and there were no issues! Service throughout the hotel was great and friendly The pool is great and the servers by the pool are great The room came with a kitchenette which was very convenient! Additionally, this hotel is in a great location of Fort Lauderdale (thing are easily walkable near by like the state park and everything on A1A

Water taxi stops are near too) Finally, the view from this hotel is great Our room allowed us to see the ocean on one side and the city on the other Thank you Atlantic Hotel and Spa for a wonderful trip and even better service 👍

We did a 5-night stay at the Atlantic Hotel and I will be coming back We had the ocean view suite which contained a kitchen, sitting area, dining area, a king size bed, two bathrooms, and an amazing deck We had no problems with the room

They have complimentary beach chairs and umbrella’s for the beach The entire staff was excellent If I was going to call out a very minor compliant it would be the Sky Bar it was staffed by a single employee, and although she was great, the kitchen was slow in getting food out to the patrons We look forward to staying here again in the future

This used to be fine running hotel however in the last 2 years things have changed Employees are less friendly, services are more expensive and the noise level from the street has increased substantially The last 2 times I stayed here, my room did not get ready until well past 4 PM

This is not acceptable when a suite that used to be $900/night is now going for $2000/night I spoke to management later and they were very understanding

Joshua Justice

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a short weekend trip Overall the stay was nice enough but probably not worth the cash price of $900/night, thankfully I used points or we’d have stayed elsewhere Even at ~$350/night which it can be priced at during slower times I’d rather stay at the Hilton two doors down but we wanted to give the Conrad a try

I had to book two stays due to a certificate I was using and then points, I emailed and asked to have them noted so that we wouldn’t have to moved rooms The Director of Revenue Management emailed me back and told me she noted everything but when I got there the guy at the check in counter told me he wasn’t sure if we’d get the same room or not and may have to come check out and back in After a little wait he was able to make sure we didn’t have to change rooms or stop back at the front desk which was niceOverall the room was really nice, the view of the ocean was great The kitchenette was big enough if we wanted to cook something we could but the number of plates and stuff was limited and we got a small thing of dish soap The room also only had small trashcans, but again if you’re cooking a bigger one or at least a bag may be needed The bathroom looked great but wasn’t as ‘functional’ as you’d expect The water pressure did not work right when you ran more than one thing, any of the bath, sinks or shower running would render the rest pretty much useless The water also was a bit concerning as there was hardly any cold or even room temperature water coming out, if you wanted to take a bath scolding was the only temperature and good luck letting the water cool off because the drain wasn’t sealed right and continually let water outYou could also hear noise from the other room when people shut doors and also in the hallway Then both days housekeeping came and knocked asking if we needed any fresh linens or anything which is nice, don’t get me wrong but when guests are trying to sleep it’s probably best to have the front desk call the night before or just clean the room at check out At check out the lady mentioned we hadn’t used our breakfast credits due to my status with them I mentioned we had to catch a flight so we couldn’t use it and she offered us water This was a nice touch but maybe the hotel should offer this the night before and have room service sent in the morning since some people forgetThe beach in front of the hotel was really nice and quiet, definitely different than a mile away on Las Olas where spring breakers were going crazy The beach had free umbrellas, chairs and towels which is a definite perkThe last part I wanted to mention is about the valet Overall it wasn’t the worst but we waited 20+ minutes after calling for our car and this was at slow times The guy in the throughfare was not directing any traffic and loved to talk at times which doesn’t help because the circle is super tinyOverall though these are just some frustrations As noted above if I had to stay here again I would but I was not wowed enough to choose this over the Hilton if given a choice

Franklin M

I had a partial ocean view king suiteThe good – the room is amazing It has separate climate zones for the private lockable room and the sofa bed living area

The kitchen area included glasses, utensils, microwave, cooking flattop, and a very large mini fridge The living room area had a half bath, which was perfect for a child or other guest sleeping on the sofa bed The views were good, but nothing awe inspiring The main bedroom bathroom was amazing and really enjoyed everything that was provided (soaps, qtips sunscreen etc) The valet service is quick and enjoyed how effortless that part of the experience was The pool and spinaker lounge staff was amazing and really made the best out of an underwhelming pool areaThe bad – the beach itself is covered in seaweed and makes the beach not great the chairs are ok and could use an update I understand it’s not the hotels fault, but it does put a damper on the stay especially with the poolThe pool was incredibly underwhelming It also closes pretty early (9 or maybe 8) They have a huge terrace for laying out which would have been excellent water real estate It felt very crowded in the pool area And I would have loved to have gone on a late night swim in the pool It goes from steps to enter to 5’3 which is nice and deepishOverall I liked it and would stay in the hotel if I had to go back to the area I visited other hotels to check them out, and I’d say this one and the Ritz were the best
