I stayed here overnight due to work travel and other hotels being sold out This property is VERY overpriced ($ 253/night) for the lack of upgrades in the room The rooms are not updated, the hallways are very narrow, rooms don’t have microwaves, the fridges won’t close, and they charge for parking

This property spent it’s money updating things like the landscape, lobby, and workout area, but the rooms are less than standard My food spoiled because the fridge wouldn’t close well and my room had no microwave and they didn’t have any spare ones when I asked for one I stayed there for work but would absolutely not return to this property Location is good but that’s about it for the pros Would NOT recommend this property to anyone, as there are nicer properties in the area for a much better price

Jacob Harrison

Took 15 Minutes for anyone to come to the front desk for check-inThe refrigerator/TV Stand was directly in front of the AC making it difficult to cool downI don’t know if this is a new COVID thing but I requested housekeeping to come on our second day and they did not make our bed nor give use new linens

Pricey for the lesser service and the same amenities of a DoubleTree

Stayed here for two weeks while attending training The good: pretty much everything you need is within walking distance (restaurants, shopping and a multi-use trail), full kitchen with dishwasher, and free washers and dryers The not so good: it is dated but functional, with the kitchens it can get a little noisy if your neighbor decides to cook up a late night meal

While most of the staff was friendly, I do have to say the guy at the front desk I picked up breakfast from twice is probably the most surly hotel employee I’ve ever come across If you’re that miserable that can’t say good morning to a guest or thank you when they hand you a tip for the breakfast you really need to rethink your career status I guess it shows how shallow the hiring pool is right now

I stayed at this hotel on June 24 and 25th 2022 It was the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and I can tell you by far one of the best experiences in Folsom! I have stayed at other hotels in the Sacramento area and at this point will choose no other… Even if it means a longer commute into the Folsom Area! The cleanliness, staff, and amenities are unmatched And for the price it is an exceptional stay! Thank you Lord for landing for providing me up with amazing hospitality and service

First thing they did was ding me for $10 for parking If it’s on “their” website, it isn’t obvious At least the deal on the room was decent

First floor room Room and bathroom are definitely dated, but relatively clean Inside Outside my room are bottles, cans, and cigarette butts on the ground Can’t remember ever seeing that before at any hotel I’ve stayedThat $1000 would have gone to housekeeping You blew that

Rhonda Robinson

4/5only because of all the construction and the pool was closed in 90 degree weather in July! The food was hot, delicious and ready in 5 minutes Staff were attentive to our needs and friendly They welcomed us and met all of our expectations

Cynthia Carbajal

We got our car window shattered in the middle of the night and the hotel does not want to be responsible for it Nothing was taken as there was nothing valuable in there However they have all this “security” driving around when you arrive but all of a sudden have none at night

It doesn’t seem right For the prices this hotel is charging they should have better service or security when it comes to these things

I love this hotel! The location is awesome! Its within walking distance to the river if you want to take a dip or paddle board Its also a 2 minute walk to the heart of historic Folsom which is a great area for food and drinks So if you want to get a bit of a buzz at the local watering hole(s) and not worry about taxis or driving then this hotel is perfect! The rooms are basic, clean, and quiet

The ceiling and walls are a bit thin and I did get woken up by some thunder foot person walking around like a caged tiger but its generally quiet The bathroom doesn’t have a fan so bring some matchesThere is a bar that has food inside the premises but it closes pretty early I read some of the bad reviews and I get it people love to complain but I have traveled the world and spent some nights in a few truly terrible places none of which come remotely close to this older hotel! I highly recommend this place!

Richard Bedal

We bicycled from Sacramento to Folsom and stayed at Lake Natoma Inn for two nights All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful The room was comfortable and clean

They even allowed us to keep our bikes in the room We had dinner at their restaurant and it very good and filling In fact, we had leftovers that we stored in the room’s refrigerator The location is accessible to the old town We visited the Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park that is just a short walk from the hotel The park is a must see with very informative docents

My Card Art

I travel a lot and one of my favorite hotels, without having to spend an arm and a leg in this town, is this hotel Clean rooms and since I am an avid swimmer, the pool is a must for me The staff here have always been so nice to me

Big smiles and friendly greetings I like the location here as well, because when I rent a car, I can access a lot of places and still be close to this hotel Also, plenty of food places around without having to go very far I would recommend this place for sure 🙂

This is not a bad place to stay at all The rooms are only cleaned if you stay 5 or more days because of Covid but you can request sheets and towelsThey took 5 weeks to decide to remove the taxes from my charges because I was traveling on government business which was a real difficult problem

The rooms are nice, parking is free, the morning breakfast is 1 star, the prices of the ice cream sandwiches are ridiculous

Kellie S

Clean, quiet and safe- all you could ever ask for in a stay They were having renovations done in the lobby at the time of my stay but no construction noise There was the faintest odor of fresh paint but it didn’t dissipate into the room

Friendly helpful staff and the parking lot was well-lit It’s a little difficult to drive to- you have to like make a quick turn before you are put back on the main street where you will have to make a U-turn and go back through the business park again Just a tidbit for the geographically challenged among us lolIt’s also right down the street to a shopping center with a wide selection of food offerings But the area does close up shop fairly early so get your foods before 8pm or so

raymond odele

Initially was so excited about my stay here, and all the receptionists were nice My rating was going to be a 5 star However I noticed the toilet bowl was never cleaned for the first 2 days, first time I’ve been to a hotel and cleaning isn’t thorough

Secondly, my soap cannister was empty on arrival, and thirdly, my room was not cleaned at all on the third day of my stay (even if I left as early as 8:30am and returned by 9:30pm) Who pays $200 a night to come back to an unattended room? This isn’t a malicious review, the hotel is great and is worth the google rating of 43 stars here, I do however feel there is some complacency creeping into their service accountability I never received a call from any manager, and when I tried calling to complain I was being tossed around I sense lack of accountability around I hope they learn and I hope anyone reading doesn’t have such an experience, because even a 2-star hotel should not have service accountability like that

This location was perfect for my stayWe went for a quick weekend away in Sacramento This hotel is minutes away from food and the metro line is on the other side of the free way

I was concerned that there would be a lot of noise at night since the hotel is right next to the free way However once inside you could not hear any noise from outside! The complimentary breakfast was amazing! And the staff are super friendly and welcoming! 10/10 would recommend a stay here!

Gregory Janssen

The staff is friendly, helpful, and competent My room was clean with a great mattress The common areas are kept very clean and neat

Was given 1 Comp night per week because I use my rewards card at each game I play They also give free gifts if you have a rewards card The gifts are very impressive! My friend and I had such a great time we spent time at the pool which was very clean & well maintained

The room was huge and so beautiful we were treated like first class patrons The food was very good The entire staff from A to Z were kind and helpful you all work so very hard and it SHOWS THANK YOU THUNDER VALLEY!! I WILL BE BACK SHERRY

Tiffaney Gilbert

Haven’t been to the casino in a while so I was completely thrown off that cocktails weren’t while playing anymore which didn’t matter much because she only came around once anyway We were looking forward to eating at the buffet only to find out after driving 2 hours away it was closed It would’ve been nice if that was updated on the website

Other than that it was lovely

N G

Went up to Sacramento to visit my sister on my birthday she talked me into going to Thunder Valley I was not impressed with the high prices No rewards on your birthday Not even free play I was informed by the The Players Club that it was over a year and this wasn’t Correct but I had no points The first thing to make me angry on my birthday was that it was to hard to find in middle woods

Rooms are at a high price This is the second time I’ve been Thunder Valley I wasn’t impressed at all except for the burger I paid $21 It’s sad I went to my favorite Casino Red Hank the next day They made me feel welcomed with two gives for birthday month n free play As soon as they have hotel rooms I will be getting a room there for a week or longer Customer Service is what makes you wants to Gamble and feel great and good food to come back Birthday was the 12 June

Overall nice place The front desk personnel during check in didn’t appear very happy Made it feel a little unwelcoming for the prices I paid

The pool, patio, breakfast area and other amenities were great The night shift personnel made up for their day shift counterparts Night shift greeted us when they seen us Helped us on the patio with the fire pit and even showed us where the towels were They were very personable Night shift security guard Bishop was excellent It felt safer when I would see him walking the property and double checking doors and gates of the building His presence was known and made me and my daughters feel secure away from home

Hotel is beautiful on the inside No mini fridge, cooler only Doesn’t keep my drinks or salad cold

No microwave in room You have to go to the main lobby and we are still in a pandemic, I don’t want to be out of room if I don’t have to No bathtub, shower only It’s very noisy There are exit doors on each side of the hall and there is no mechanism to ensure they aren’t being slammed at all hours of the day and night Woke me up from a sound sleep at 5am and I thought someone had broken into my room it was so loud For the amount of money it costs to stay here, it could be nicer

Scott

I was impressed The hotel doesn’t have much curb appeal It looks like one of those 1980s two-story hotels that you found on every freeway off ramp

My room was extremely comfortable and I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite Traveling on government business working nearby at the emergency services office, this was a perfect choice for a one-night stay It would have actually been a comfortable choice for several nights

Martin Martinez

The Manager was super helpful and friendly, and the on-site breakfast options are decent The property is aging There is only one small elevator at the opposite end of the building

The rooms are clean, but the beds are the pillow-top saggy types They charge $10 per night for parking The hotel backs up to the freeway, so it’s a little noisy You could do worse

Let’s face it, if you’re staying here, it’s because of budget concerns That being said, the rooms are spacious and clean The bed in the room that I got was stiff and very springy, some might like that but it’s not my cup of tea

You will be in a bad neighborhood, but they do have parking lot security that makes their presence known Walls are not very sound resistant If you’re coming on business or traveling solo, it’s an acceptable place to stay I would not bring family

Calla Flower

The lobby area was ok but the room that I got was dirty They don’t do a good with cleaning I had just checked in

It was around 5pm already when one of the cleaning ladies tried to open my door she must have a master key it was a good thing that I used the lock-lever on the door to secure the door from the inside When she couldn’t open the door she said something in Spanish and left The carpet is worn The elevator is old and shakes

Vladimir Gusiatnikov

This is a budget place Some Hamptons are fancier and this ain’t one Rooms are clean and well kept, showing some age

Beds are comfortable enough, pillows are basic If your room faces the freeway, you’ll get freeway sounds Unlike a previous reviewer, I didn’t find the neighborhood “bad”, it’s a working-class Sacramento hood, but then my tolerance is likely higher than that of most There is a sizable bank of EV chargers in the parking lot Some were ICEd out but not to the detriment of the several EV-owning guests Both of the two chargers I used worked in a straightforward way, price is $029/kWh I don’t know what the top charging speed is

Hospitality doesn’t exist at this hotel Those working the front desk are rude and condescending I didn’t feel at all welcomed

Bugs were flying around the room Not sure how they got in, I was on the top floor And the beds are the worst! I tossed and turned all night The bed was stiff, and yet lumpy Did they find these mattresses on the street? Marriott is known for their comfy beds Not this location! Breakfast was disappointing and lackluster AC was super loud Indoor pool was freezing, had a problem with billing, and again was greeted with a nasty attitude from the front desk staff when attempting to resolve This hotel did not at all live up to my expectations of Marriott Horrible experience Never again

Danielle Graham

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Although I only stayed for one night, I really wished the suites would have a stovetop and cookery equipment in case someone doesn’t want to go out to eat Did took a peek at the breakfast and it actually look pretty good for hotel buffet style Nonetheless, this hotel is friendly, comfortable and affordable

Will definitely make this location my getaway hotel from on!! 😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍

Stayed at this hotel for the night The room was clean and cozy Large bed and sofa from which to watch TV, also in the room was a refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning and telephone

But when i arrived 10 minutes before the end of breakfast, they closed the refrigerator with yogurt and started cleaning up, so we had to have breakfast elsewhere

Kelly J

I booked a room through Chase rewards, and due to my 3 year old spiking a high fever and a baseball tournament being canceled in Rocklin, CA, we were trying to rebook for the following weekend Not even necessarily cancel and they are unwilling to help or change the booking $180 (overpriced) down the drain

My family and friends and whoever reads this, please do not support these inconsiderate people who do not know how to efficiently run a business (or maybe they do because they got a whole $180) but we will not be returning or giving any business to ANY comfort inns Go somewhere else, you’ll be better off I even called the hotel and they were not helpful and even gave a “I don’t care” type attitude/tone over the phone

My family stayed @ Larkspur Landing hotel in Sacramento, California briefly and our experience was awful and we’ll never returnThe parking lot didn’t look monitored, and there were used syringes everywhere, so gross On check in our room looked nothing like the photos online, it looked grotesque and depressing

And the bathroom had maintenance issues We were going to check out due to all of the above but we had dinner plans that evening so we just dealt with it When we were there a front desk “manager” (a Caucasian woman in her 40s? with circa 2005 yellow highlights) was repeatedly unpleasant Said manager was also hostile and ignorant towards me when I needed something simple for our room The sheer amount of ugliness that this “manager ” kept projecting at us seemed personal, so I rightfully critiqued her for it Despite us trying to avoid her, the next day that same”manager” maliciously attacked us in the lobby about my criticism from the previous day I guess she couldn’t handle someone standing up to herThis “Manager’s” self entitled child-like buffoonery projected at us was vile at that point We didn’t owe her the time of day so we immediately disengaged with that “manager” and left the lobby We ended up speaking to the GM of the hotel , and he apologized profusely for that incidentAlso, per my request I was assured by the GM that we wouldn’t have to engage with said manager again for the remainder of our stayHowever, we were over it And thankfully we cut our stay short at this trash hotel and booked a suite at a cleaner hotel with a classier staff ( Marriott) The staff there couldn’t have been nicer and more professional, and the property was gorgeous and well maintained It ended up being an absolute perfect fit for us, so thank you Marriott

Brandon Prince

For the price, it is an extreme value! The premises are very clean and clean smelling The amenities are top-notch in the breakfast is better than most of the continental breakfast you see Also the staff is extremely accommodating

The only small downside is that the room was a tad small and TV HDMI were both malfunctioning Not a big deal for me though It was a very great experience

Nse Imoh

This was probably one of my worst experiences at a hotel Came from the bay to attend the bubble race with my 2yr old Check-in was fine, the woman at the front desk was very kind and pleasant

She offered to put me where it would be a little more quiet When we got to the room Friday night, noticed ants all over the bathroom, they said they would send someone up and that never happenedThen when we got back to the room to sleep, there was an extremely loud party that went on until 3am (Not the hotel’s fault) but none the less very disruptive “Breakfast” the next morning was horrible It seemed like it was just pastries scattered around from the local grocery store The creamer for the coffee was all the way spoiled and the woman at the front didn’t make an effort to change it or remove the spoiled creamer I tried to canceled my room for the second night to no avail That night, the fire alarm goes off at 4am and disoriented, I had to grab my 2yr old and rush him outside in the rain We were outside for about a half hour before they let us back in The next morning in an effort to let my son sleep considering the night he had, I asked if we could get a late check-out (check-out is at noon, I asked for 1pm) the front desk attendant was extremely rude and wouldn’t let us nor would give me a reason why I couldn’t Overall is was a horrible experience and I would highly recommend people look elsewhere, especially for the price (spent $320 for 2 very disruptive nights)

Had a 2 night stay here in a2 bedroom suite The suite was very comfortable and the bedrooms and attached bathrooms were roomy They actual serve a real hot breakfast with a scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and home fried potatoes

If you’re not into a big breakfast they also have a nice selection of cereal and yogurtThe 2 issues I had with the facility was the parking fee – it’s in an area with lots of places to eat and they don’t charge for parking We could have just parked on the other side of the median and avoided the fee The second issue was in the 3 days and 2 nights we were there nobody vacuumed the staircases with had all kinds of dirt and crumbled food items on themOverall a nice place to stay and one of few places that has 2 bedroom suites I’d stay there again if I was in the area

We spent over a month at this site while undergoing home renovations It was a convenient location and priced at marketThe facility is a bit tired and in need of updating

The rooms are fine, but just Due to “staffing” rooms were serviced weekly or upon scheduled request Sometimes availability was days out Pool closed for maintenanceThe bright spot was the staff Friendly, responsive, and professionalOH The wifi was very good too

Great location, friendly and helpful staff Hotel is clean, lobby area is modern But…Hotel rooms are very small and dated, which is obvious from the photos so you should be ready for that

The one bedroom suites are too small for a queen size bed – almost impossible to walk around the bed Better off getting the studio since it has the same square footage Another issue are the lights surrounding the property – very large, and light up the rooms at night Finally, the breakfasts are all pre-made, wrapped and in a steamer, so you get soggy, egg McMuffin style food Not much selection

First time we went to the spa it was great So I got my wife a gift card and she went to use it for a massage which should include jacuzzis and steam rooms They said due to covid she can’t use the facility

This is march 13 2022 All covid restriction have been lifted since February 16 2022 for Sacramento county They don’t want to refund the gift card

Amazing!! We received full body Swedish massages and they hooked it up with the oils and the aromatherapy (is also a dope option) 10 outta 10 customer service, massages and pressure, comfort, and just the over all vibe Felt like we were on an island

They got tea and chocolate too Oh laawwd!!! The stream room reminds me of that movie the fog, got a little nervous but my pores thanked me after Getting facials next month and another soon

After showing us where our locker rooms were, we were given no other instructions where to go, where to wait, what happens next as we were planned to have massages Having to flag the same attendant down and asking her where to go, she seem unenthused/annoyed and rude in her response The massages though were awesome and it was overall relaxing and enjoyable

Kenia was great After we returned to the locker room, other guests we’re being walked through and we overheard the same attendant going over everything, including where the showers were, saunas, bathrooms, where to go, what to expect etc It’s disappointing to know that other clients received better service than we did while we were here Walking out, I had asked another attendant what the other’s name was and she had asked me if there was any problems I let her know my concerns and she explained that the girl is new and probably had “nerves” Understandable I guess? But being new doesn’t give you the right to be snobby and rude I just hope this serves as a learning experience for next time if you want to keep guests happy
