Relatively new, well-maintained, spotlessly clean hotel I am very particular about cleanliness and the room met my expectations Of the three front desk people we encountered during our stay, all were extremely friendly and accommodating
We were also happy to see that full breakfasts were back After check-in, itās the first time I have ever received a text from a hotel inquiring as to whether or not everything was satisfactory in the room

Really enjoyed my peaceful stay here The 2 ladies at the front desk, when I checked in, went beyond the usual to make me feel welcome The room was spacious, the view was good (considering the location), it was quiet, the bed, pillows and comforters were soft and comfy, breakfast was good
I did not make use of the pool or gym Ample parking space as well

WOW ! This place was a wonderful place Great staff, HUGE room Well, Let me explain that I am handicapped ( in a wheelchair on occasions) This room was HUGE!Even the door to the rest room was a sliding door, which made getting in and out a breeze
The TV again huge ( for a hotel room)Had a wonderful brunch great towels, coffee maker and coffee and even an Iron and board (if needed)close to shopping, food, and the highway system And never heard any of the traffic from I-55Again the room was huge You could of had 10 people in that room and still been comfortable Again it was a handicapped roomI just wish that my wife had told me that they had a pool down the hallThis will be my “Go To” hotel when in Illinois

This charming hotel is definitely a gem located in the heart of downtown Homewood From the stylish decor to the swanky restaurant, I truly enjoyed my local getaway The only changes I would suggest would be upgrading the tvs to Smart Tvs for movie streaming, improving the morning breakfast selection and having a skeleton crew so that in room dining can occur at least until 11pm on weekends

Excellent experience and stay! Part of our stay was an surprise to my wife They helped with the execution of the surprise and even gave advice! Beautiful hotel, exceptional clean (very important during this time), and superb staff! This place is a hidden gem for sure! Feel just like you’re downtown Chicago This is now my favorite hotel, perfect for a quick getaway, Excellent atmosphere and great restaurant in side hotel! Can’t wait to return! This review isn’t justice
These are the places we need to frequent to ensure they stay open! Thanks La Banque for an amazing experience and making me look great to my wifeš

It’s pricey but most boutique style hotels are especially around holidays or weekends Many different rules due to pandemic I’m guessing Like we couldn’t have a drink in the bar unless we had reservations when the bar and most of the restaurant were empty
No one seemed to know if we could order room service Luckily we had a family party and went early We noticed glass broken in a picture frame immediately entering the suite and the attendant on duty removed it in minutes We were in an accessible room which includes lots of grab bars and side floor area, there’s also braille on the door The tub however is a regular high side so someone can’t roll in or walk-in You could probably bring a slide seat though They include a dark wash cloth for makeup removal A nice coffee station with fridge, in room safe, robes, iron, dryer, etc Nice one time for mom to enjoy the holiday It’s right across from the Metra station and has ample free parking Many great restaurants in the area if you want something different like Red Bird

Truck driver friendly We were able to Bob tail here and park Breakfast is delicious
Hot foods include sausage patties, fried eggs, potatoes, hot and cold cereals, bagels, donuts, yogurt and make your own waffles For 6 floors itās very quiet You get 3 king size bath towels along with hand towels and wash cloths Kevin at the front desk is full of information and very helpful! Youāre surrounded by restaurants (Texas rd House) I highly recommend it!

The room was fairly large and the bed/bedding was comfortable but the fourniture was dated Everything from the entrance to the room was clean (surprisingly more and more of a rarity in hotels nowadays) The staff was friendly and they do offer breakfast (didnāt try it)
My main concern is regarding the price which I think itās a bit high for the quality of hotel Iād give it 35 if I could
Jay Michelle
Front desk ‘Andrew’ was super nice and understanding! Great hot breakfast and comfy beds with no bed bugs Had to change rooms soon after due to ants all over the table near air conditioner
A few of them accompanied us to Navy Pier Ewwww Once we switched rooms all was fine and dandy until we turned on the AC which sounded like an old broken-down air compressorI chose to stay cool with no sleep rather than sweat Believe it or not I would stay again Manager ‘Josh’ is supposed to chat with me especially since I spent almost $400 We’ll see š¤

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations! Patrick at the front desk was really fantastic and had the most upbeat personality Some of the best customer service Iāve encountered in quite some time Staci was terrific at breakfast, always attentive and checked back often to make sure everything was perfect
Rooms were quite clean, the only slight issue was that the hot water took about 5-10 minutes to make it to my shower/sink Other than that, I couldnāt have asked for a better stay
Rudy Wanek
Check in was easy, the room seemed nice and the lobby/facilities were nice When we checked in at the front desk we were told there is a free continental breakfast in the morning, or you can pay $1195 to order Menu Items
In the morning we were told in order to eat ANY breakfast we needed to pay the $1195, so we left for breakfast Later that night went to take a shower and there was no hot water in our room at all Called the front desk to no answer Waited until the morning and the hot water was back on The basic essentials of hotels were not provided in this stay other than a place to sleep
Lexi Harrell
Do not expect to take a hot shower This hotel doesnāt have any hot water We tried in the evening around 3- no hot water
Called front desk whom said they would send someone out Got back to hotel around midnight to yet again no hot water to shower in No hot water again in the morning before we left When we checked out I again informed of my issue with hot water and was offered a free snack for my inconvenience (I donāt want a free soda, I wanted a hot shower) Other wise the hotel was clean and staff was friendly Breakfast was good and hot But not having hot water to take a shower is a huge downfall for me Wouldnāt stay again because of this

Would give 0 stars if possible Made a reservation 2 weeks before reservation date Called and spoke to manager here to make sure they had a pool and open availability for use of said pool
Was told pool only closed on Mondays for cleaning which is understandable Our reservation was for Wednesday at 3pm Tried checking in at 330 and spoke to Jennifer at front desk Not only was she rude, but a bit snobby Told us as we were checking in ” oh we have a private event so pool is closed, will only be open from 830 to 10 pm” We reserved at this location which is over an hour away specifically for the pool as it was for my three year old son’s birthday, and all he wanted for his Birthday was to go swimming So obviously My wife and I were upset, we even asked why this was the case as we called two weeks beforehand and confirmed pool usage and times and Jennifer rudely said well we changed our policy No apologies, no commitment to service Thank goodness we reserved through Bookingcom and William the supervisor we spoke to was kind enough to help us cancel the reservation as well as find us a replacement reservation on short notice Would never recommend this location to anyone, and do not be fooled by false and obviously fake reviews for this location This is NOT a 4 star hotel and if you are staying here good luck and hope you are not expecting the amenities promised at the time of your booking

It’s part of a group of hotels near the airport It would be great if the free shuttle was a scheduled ride for really early morning flights Overall I would stay again because the room was good for what I needed overnight
Front desk staff was really great and helpful Checked in online so not too much hassle to get keys to room When you get on elevator, hold key over sensor while pushing floor button

Have never been Room was very nice and clean Nicely decorated
Shower was very nice We asked for an extra flat sheet that was never brought to us Our room had service rooms or something above They were very loud above us in the morning, and it actually woke us up when we were looking forward to sleeping in They kept dropping stuff above us and were very loud Our room was in front of the building near the busy street which was very loud They need to invest in better windows and sound proofing
Spicy Zing
Aura has always been a great spot to stay You can rent for a couple hours or for a night (must rsvp for overnight stays) I like that there’s different rooms to choose from and their reasonably priced
This is a Lovers Hotel, definitely meant for couples It’s a great place to take your significant other for a nice relaxing night together Though you must have a membership to even rent these rooms (M: $50, For a year)
J.O.B Telinfo
Aura really needs to upgrade all rooms especially Tryst room I got my package as advertised However, the room was not sound proof, no soap or conditioner in the shower dispenser, blood on the remote control which is a major negative!!!! Holes in the walls and etc You guys better do something because things like that will cause Aura at this location to be shutdown
I will not return to this hell and I want my refund for the blood on the remote control

Very clean and modern rooms Decent pillows The beds weren’t the most comfortable I’ve slept on in a hotel but I never really take that into consideration for reviews as everyone has different firmness preferences
Decent sized rooms with a good sized bathroom Nice large TV in our room too Convenient location is always great too I was definitely surprised when we entered and saw how nice it was inside I was expecting much less

This place is not worth the price The smoke detector was missing, the mattress pad would slip off the bed, the bed had a huge stain, they are pet friendly but have no grass for pets (you have to trespass to a school across the street), they’re next to a busy road where you can hear the traffic all night, and they’re in a low income place that feels sketchy The only compliments are the breakfast is good and the customer service is mostly okay
The place doesn’t feel clean at all Definitely not worth it And there are no good food places around
Corey Gregory
I stayed there on business to which the company I work for has a contract with them It was a very pleasant stay Great rooms with no issues
I work nights and it was fairly quiet during the day Good location with lots of restaurants in the area The only issue was parking was a little tight Great hot breakfast Employees were amazing I rate hotels fairly hardly and I really was surprised by this places overall experience I would have to highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a room in the area
Heather Monroe
Stayed here for two nights while in town for a concert Location isnāt bad but the hotel itself is nasty Our room was filthy
The bathroom was even worse The room was very old and outdated Carpet was nasty and dirty Bathroom wasnāt cleaned or sanitized before our arrival There were balled up pieces of trash stuffed in the corners of the bedroom and bathroom walls For the price we paid we shouldāve at least received a cleaned room If your looking for a ācheapā hotel to stay at while in town, do yourself a favor and spend the money on a nicer hotel This place made me feel so dirty Never again

The hotel was nice, clean and has a well lit parking area As a female traveling alone, that is very important There were restaurants nearby that were open late
The staff were friendly and I love the digital check in and out The bed was comfortable The room was really nice and modernized If I had to pick one “bad” thing, this location does not give out free water to Hilton Honors members like several of the other Hampton hotels But overall, a very nice stay Would recommend and I plan to come back

Accept for few miniature things, we had an amazing stay The majority of staff was so welcoming, paying attention to our needs
our room was in excellent condition Breakfast was absolutely amazing and showed they really cared Hotel was in great condition overall and it was quite place and secluded for a perfect privacy They did not have a jacuzzi in the pool area which was a bummer but we still really enjoyed it
Kalla Mahar
I’m really not sure how to rate this hotel The room was very small and the beds were not easily accessible to the top bunk The TV was hard to see bc of the bed poles
The one night worker, Joe was not very helpful at first, but got better, I guess Sherry however, was AMAZING There were ants all over our room when we got back Saturday afternoon They had no spray When we used a wash cloth to try to wipe up the ants the wash cloth was filthy dirty like it hadn’t been mopped before we were there We had no garbage bags in the garbages Finally after telling them the ants were in the beds and one bit my mom Sherry went and bought ant spray and found an out of order room for us to use for the night It was even smaller than the other one And obviously didn’t have everything since it was out of order, but I’m thankful she tried She took off half of each nights stay for the issues we experienced The pool is an bad accident waiting to happen The water doesn’t drain around the pool and there are puddles Kids were falling and getting hurt I reported it and they said they knew that it drains slowly and they have someone that will be working on it or is working on it The food was okay, but things were not refilled for the morning I was there right when it opened and I had to ask for them to refill the sugars For a Hilton I expected better

Pretty nice place to stay, clean rooms, friendly staff, showers with water pressure, comfortable beds, I really have no complaints about this placeSome reviews have mentioned problems with sounds from the trainyard but they didn’t bother me at all in my room It was also really nice going walks on the sidewalk paths as opposed to the usual hotel experience of pure parking lot and nothing else

I expected more I guess The rooms were okay beds were comfy but they said my room came with breakfast and they later told me I couldnāt get it Double trees usually give their guest free cookies but everytime we asked they were out (kinda a reason we picked it)
Iāve stayed at other double trees in the past and had a lot of better experiences Plus the hotel stunk!

I booked my stay through the park/sleep/fly website because that was the most convenient for my elderly parents and me to find parking for our car during our trip We needed to leave our car for just under two weeks and we stayed overnight the night before our flight We were so tired upon arrival to the hotel, we decided to just stay at the hotel and have dinner there, which was surprisingly good and was served by a good-natured, kind man
(We loved the warm cookies upon arrival too!)Then upon our return, we experienced some difficulty in getting back to Chicago and had to have our flights changed I was concerned because I had given the front desk my return flight info but now everything was different and we would be coming in late at night, on a different day Thankfully, Melissa, who answered the phone when I called several times to try to keep her updated with the changes, was really friendly and helpfulJohn was our driver to and from the airport and he was extremely professional and helpful When John dropped us off at Midway at the beginning of our trip, he was right on time, he handled all our heavy luggage, and he helped my elderly parents in and out of the van We definitely appreciated his kindness! I also appreciated how clear he was when dropping us off regarding where he would pick us up when we returned I can see how many travelers could get confused regarding pick-up but John had explained very well to us where we should meet him when we returned (This saved a ton of time and frustration)Upon arrival to the hotel parking lot, John drove right over to our car and was extremely helpful again with all of our luggage I would like to recommend these employees for some sort of recognition as well as a raise Had Melissa not been so helpful or responsive on the phone, John would not have had any idea about our changed plansIām incredibly thankful for this good experience and I will recommend your hotel/shuttle service to any/all of my friends needing to fly in or out of Midway Thank you so much

I stayed here pre-COVID for a family reunion It was great Stayed here this weekend and checked out after 1 day
My room had a weird smell There was a half bottle of water that Iām guessing the previous guest drank out of It was left on the table with the other bottle of water and still had the $200 Hilton tag on it like nothing was wrong There were brown spots in my bathroom sink Maybe makeup? Not sure Hair in my tub that wasnāt mine There is a maintenance guy who I guess checks the pool periodically A lot of kids were in the pool, he seemed to hyper fixate on the black kids when all the children were just playing and being kids He seemed to pick them out I hate to say that, but I observed it twice And thatās what it was giving Wonāt be staying here again

It was nice but housekeeping needs to do better! I did not appreciate having to ask for my room to be cleaned three times then had to leave my room and wait for them to FINALLY clean it! I called the night before, the morning of when I was told they would be there at 10 am We left and came back at 3 and it was still NOT CLEANED! I was LIVID!! That was when I made my THIRD attempt by going directly to the desk and speaking to an associate! We sat by the murky pool for an hour while they cleaned the room When we got back to the room a dirty towel was left in the shower and the cleaning solution was left on the stove! I took pictures which I will upload on TripAdvisor and Google along with my review
Now for the pool I had every intention of getting in and enjoying the water but it was cloudy! I stood outside the door around 9 am, not believing what I was seeing then the pool guy came out with a hand full of solutions I asked him was he cleaning it because it looked cloudy and he said yes, he just put the solution in it I asked why it looked like that and he said someone must have done something in the water the night before His voice went low so I couldn’t hear exactly what he said but it was enough to know I was not getting in! If you read this post in its entirety then you know that whatever solution the guy put in the pool at 9 am did NOT work, due to it STILL being murky/cloudy at 3-4 pm! Disgusting to say the least! My final complaint is we asked for and were given a late checkout I guess the front desk did not communicate that with housekeeping because they tried opening the door at 11 am sharp! Imagine that! They were “on time” to get us out of the room but not on time to do their job! We told them we had a late checkout and she barely understood due to not speaking English She eventually understood and left We were truly ANNOYED by this!

At first glance this hotel seemed nice and clean, however when I woke up in the morning I found a cockroach in my bathroom I was able to take a video and show it to the front desk, who told me that a manager would come down to my room shortly After waiting 30 minutes I received a phone call from the front desk informing me that there would be no hotel management on site due to the holiday, but one would call me to discuss the refund I requested
I have now called on two separate occasions asking to speak with management, only to be informed that my information had been passed on to hotel management and they would contact me at their convenience Not only did I pay $250 for one nights stay, but I also had to throw away all of our food, and have our belongings bug bombed Do not stay at this hotel, and do not be fooled by what appears to be a clean, upscale setting The person at the front desk was very kind and understanding, but obviously he is the only one who cares, as management seems to have disregarded my complaint

If i could give this place a zero i would Horrible front seat A blond women who was rude and damining over the phone and in person
Not to mention the āmanagerā on site was a point size jerk He didnāt have anything to say other then what the lady in the front desk had already called and actually cried about The pool was out of clouded majority of the stay People running around each night smoking and drinking (yelling throughout the hotel) i would be cautious when booking here There were some nice perks (a kitchen without any amenities including a fire extinguisher Also a fire alarm text where the people of the hotel we Lee to enter the room Overall, we were very disappointed

I stayed here for a friend’s wedding The room was comfortable and well appointed There were plenty of extra bedding materials available if someone wanted to use the couch for additional sleeping space
The continental breakfast was just what I needed after a night of dancing The only negative I would point out is that the coffee you can make in your room is really, really awful
1000and 1meal
The service at the desk is friendly and if you have any question you will get a friendly answer Thanks for thatThe question isā¦ why I gave them only 2 stars?I got a large room with a lot of space
It was cleaned and everything was in itĀ“s placeBut, from my perspective, when traveling internationally, price and standard don’t match for me It seems a bit old-fashioned and less modernAnother problem for me is the connection of the hotel to the local infrastructure Gastronomic establishments and shopping facilities can only be reached by own car or the hotel’s own shuttle service You are cut offThe hotel offers breakfast, which is included in the price I have never paid such a high price for a room in any part of the value with breakfast at the low quality level One gets full There is enough available But at the point my expectation was different, when I look at hotels of the group in Europe, for exampleWhich is really bad Plastic knife, plastic fork, plastic spoon Styrofoam plates and bowls All disposable dishes that are thrown away after breakfast Sustainability for the good of the environment completely absent Mountains of garbage are produced This is no longer in keeping with the spirit of the timesAll in all, an average hotel But with the above points for me just 2 stars

Hotel is just off I55 Check in was quick Hotel has 6 floors and two elevators
There’s an indoor pool open 7a-10p, a 24 hour fitness room with free weights, two steppers, and two treadmills with TVs, laundry facilities Each room has a coffee maker, microwave, minifridge Ice machines are located on floors 1, 3, and 4 There’s a small area to buy alcohol, snacks, and some small necessities (ie ibuprofen, nail clippers) Our couch had a pullout bed so I’d assume they all do The beds were comfy as well as the linens and blankets The pillows were perfect! There was a sitting area outside with chairs, lounge chairs, and tables mostly surrounded by the pool building and landscaping with sun and shade Free breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffle maker, blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels toast, butters, jams, jellies, and Nutella! They had really good coffee too The coffee was only available from 4a – 12p š This is a really great place to bring kids

Overall it’s wasn’t bad Rooms and bathroom were clean and beds well made Want to give 5 stars but except for Kevin, front desk staff can be more on top of things and better trained
I also appreciated Kevin’s knowledge of getting around Midway Airport Had to pickup my family at airport at 1:00am and preferred not to get lost like in O’Hare

Alyssa checked us in she was super sweet and helpful made us feel welcomed The room was clean and housekeeping even gave us extra towels Maria checked us out she was super busy but she took the time to make us feel important and made sure we had everything we needed before we left to the airport
With customers service like these two ladies gave us we would always choose doubletree

This was a last minute choice due to flight delays, but it was enjoyable and conveniently located near Midway airportThe free shuttle was also convenient and appreciated, as it is less than a 10 minute driveRooms were clean and quiet, hotel restaurant was ok but not spectacular
Lots of airline crews checking in, which I considered a good sign
