Overall, the place is in good condition and clean, but our room had two issues One, the bathroom door would not shut The bathroom vent does not work and the moisture from the bathroom warped the door

Also, the TV in the main room didn’t work The front desk was very unhelpful Their response was something like, we can’t fix it, so what do you want us to do? The tv was an issue for my son and the bathroom was a frustration for everyone

Skip to main contentWe have stayed in many boutique hotels in our travels and this one is one of the best!Honestly, if you are traveling through Mississippi this is the hotel to stay inFirst of all, we want to give a big shout out to the following team members:Princeton – A great person; he made us feel welcome from the first time we talked to him on the phone He greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel welcome, almost like he was inviting us into his home

He delivered needed items to our room without hesitation and we saw him around the hotel doing whatever needed to be done with a smile on his faceChrista – Bar Assistant did a great job with serving and checking up on us even under extremely busy conditions Very accommodating with a smileChristy Lee – Bartender – Very professional and accommodating under very busy conditionsTop notch employees!!!The grounds were beautiful with an interior garden, modern furnishings, large banquet room for gatherings, lovely rooms all with an intimate feel, and great rooftop bar open on Thurs, Fri, Sat with nightly local musiciansThe stay included a delicious full breakfast with lovely pastries, biscuits, gravy, fruits, meats and eggs Wow!!!We want to thank you for making us feel so welcome and will definitely be back when we are in MississippiDate of stay: April 2022The rooms facing the garden with balconies are lovely

Overall the stay was good It’s a nice old building with a pretty courtyard and a perfect location for walking to the historic sites and museums of downtown Jackson The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable

However, the service is somewhat rough around the edgesThe good news is that these shortcomings are correctableFirst of all, there is no housekeeping unless your request it This is unacceptable, especially at a hotel that wants to be “boutique” and more on the upscale side Daily housekeeping should be expected and automatic I found myself having to call and ask for clean towels then waiting for them to be brought to meSecond, if you are going to ask guests to select a time for their breakfast in the dining room, then you should have their breakfast ready on time I and other guests had a 7 AM “appointment” yet had to sit there for a good while waiting on the breakfast to be brought in Fortunately at least there was coffee readyThird, one of the big selling points of this hotel is the rooftop bar and the views from it However, the rooftop only accessible Thursday, Friday, and Saturday One cannot even enter the area at all except on those days This area was off limits even though the weather was beautiful and I would’ve loved to have just enjoyed the viewFinally, cleanup is needed in the courtyard There were leaves clogging the fountain, which was pretty otherwise

Brad Robertson

I stayed for two nights in May 2022 What a great experience Extremely friendly check in process and the gentleman at the front desk even offered to give me a ride to the train station when I was departing

Very comfortable room and lovely courtyard for breakfast/reading A one minute walk from the civil rights museum and near downtown makes this an exceptional place to stay for a brief visit to this very interesting city

Beautiful scenery inside and out The staff was very knowledgeable and nice Loved the fact that all amenities needed are at one location

From the bar, tasty menu, to the pool, to a beautiful room, steamy hot shower and comfy bed; definitely was a vibe! The pool needs a cooling element and more chlorine Definitely will be back Book here!

As a travel agent i have stayed at many hotels the last few years and this one is one of my families favorites Sheraton and Marriott really did a great job on this place The Sheraton has a modern style look, the rooms were immaculate, beds were comfy and the lazy river was so much fun

It was a nice place to stop and break up a long ride home The staff were very friendly and helpful If we had more time I would definitely stay longer!

Pammie

Very friendly staff Loved the modern and spacious room Very clean and the bed was so comfortable! Much better than the Hilton

The only reason I didn’t give it five stars because our room was near the elevator and was a little noisy when I was trying to sleep, but thank goodness I ALWAYS travel with ear plugs Oh, the breakfast was good too!

Beds were not made when we arrived nearly 45-min after check-in And since we were having a late lunch we had to eat in a room that look like it had been used by the previous patron(s) with no soap left, so I literally had to walk to the other room to grab a new bar of soap So the staff were cleaning the rooms and we asked them if they could please come back in about half an hour after we were done and they agreed

However one of the staff was smoking right outside of our room, which was a nuisance since this was a non-smoking facility in the smoke was easily entering our room under the door so my friend stuffed a few pillows under the door to block the smoke and it actually helped We also were a little surprised when one of the staff members was wearing a t-shirt and jeans whereas the other one was wearing a uniform We thought it might have been one of the hotel guests who was just being very nice perhaps and helping out Other than that it was also disappointing that the lobby closed around 8:00 or 8:30 pm Perhaps this could be due to potential crime rate in the area or the demographics of the hotel, yet it’s also unfortunate for guests who would like to retire to the lobby temporarily to perhaps have tea and relax Lastly the same employee who look like a very courteous guest helping the staff also happened to be by the bottom of the staircase smoking as well as listening to explicit music and singing out loud There’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing this but when you approach this as a guest it does make things a bit awkward and off-putting What employees do on their free time is perfectly within their right, but it would be better to perhaps do this in an employee lounge somewhere where it’s not infringing on the space/comfort of a guest

If you’re searching for an overpriced straight down nasty disgusting motel that claim to be an hotel look no further!Rust,Mold, stains on walls and floors, Dirty towels that smell like weed! When approached the management about all this issues RPatel answered “why you making a big deal about it”I seriously can’t believe this place is open for business!

Eric moser

The hotel had the potential to satisfy me for an overnight stay on my travels across country, but unfortunately they did not succeed Hotel staff is wasting the owners money Coffee was overpowering, juice tasted like pure syrup, and floor cleaner left a sticky residue on the tile in the bathroom & vanity area

The pungent floor cleaner had a very strong odor and kept me up for a while Besides that the room was clean but needed some updating, and the building looked ok

Good staff, nice people but dirty room You could tell they skimp on cleaning and room prep little dish soap in kitchen was used with crusty dried soap around cap no sponge

Had to go to front desk to ask for bedding for sofa couch Sofa bed mattress was badly stained Room felt less than clean One elevator not working so it was a minor inconvenience staying on the fourth floor Breakfast was ok Got biscuits, etc Waffle maker but batter dispenser did not work Overall a less than Hilton experience but as I said the staff were nice

Aaron T

We stayed at several Home2 Suites on this trip The Pearl location was a very positive experience The front desk team members were kind but also fun to chat with

The only down rating is just that they seem to be short people With a positive attitude and kind word those front desk folks were doing absolutely everything Breakfast, laundry, room requests, etc Hopefully they can hire some additional support staff and things will be even better!

Sarahkate Samford

Great room for family of four Had soap & sponge to wash all bottle and pump things :)Breakfast was good as well but very carb heavy for my likingEverything was clean and the staff was great

We were greeted by a very nice gentleman and received prompt and courteous service Our room was very clean and everything looked new The lobby was well kept too

We parked our 26 ft Penske truck in the parking lot with no trouble We received a complimentary toothbrush/paste since my grandson didn’t bring his I wish they had floor fans because we like to sleep with one for the noise Breakfast is free tomorrow so we shall see how that goes We messed up the beds before I took the picture sorry Highly recommend this place!!!

Stephanie Alexander

The staff was very friendly and they had a decent complimentary breakfast, but for the price we paid and what we have come to expect from Hampton Inn, we were very disappointed in our room We paid close to $200 for a suite that needed updating with their jacuzzi tub and flooring The curtains were grimy and there were parts of the room you could tell the floor wasn’t regularly cleaned

We were supposed to have a TV in the suite portion of our room and bedroom, but there was only a remote and cable box in the suite We also only had one AC unit out of the 2 working as well as a front row view to people’s backyards Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but we won’t be staying here again

Lindsey Hughes

I will NEVER stay here again, when we arrived the pool looked clean, hot tub was green like a swamp and did not have a cover on it you couldnt even see the bottom, kids swam in the pool and by the next day it was green and not taken care of There was a cockroach in our room Our toilet did not work and when I made the desk aware they set a plunger outside of our door for us to plunge after each flush

The ice maker on our floor did not work The only two umbrellas by the pool were in the “shed” thing and when we got them out they were both broken so no shade by the pool at all When I asked for extra towels I was told on more than one occasion that they didn’t have any and they took my room number but none were sent I had to ask again One particular lady from the front desk was so rude anytime anyone encountered her This is NOT a nice hotel and I do NOT recommend you to stay here!

Despite some minor things about the rooms, the experience was good! Staff were friendly, the pool was small but clean, and the breakfast was good In our room, the drawers had collapsed in at the back so we couldn’t use them, but I never use them anyway so it didn’t bother me too much The shower controls were SUPER sensitive so to avoid super hot water was a delicate operation

And we found an open packet of chips from a previous guest under the bed But other than that, it was good I would stay there again

Mandy G

This hotel is average at best It’s like a ghost town this weekend I’ve seen about 20 people in a 24 hour period

A few couples that checked in before yesterday have left The hotel smells like mildew As soon as I walked in the room and opened the closet door, a huge dying bug was there The toilet rocks When you sit on it, it feels like you are going to fall in When you use the phone in the room, the person you call can’t hear you I feel that is a hazard There is a Tornado warning in effect We are making sure our phones are fully charged I tried switching rooms, but was told that she has to wait on manager to approve That’s weird That was at 7 this morning As of 2:30 pm, I still haven’t heard anything I’m not a priority I guess that I will wait on the guy that works in the evening He was very pleasant and nice The breakfast is cool Housekeeping knocks on your door to pick up used towels They will not make the beds, but will leave you clean towels I like the parking You need to use your room key to park on the lot I would say that is the best part of this place I will not stay here again, though

Erick Henderson

Usually pretty nice spot Just make sure you ask for your ID back before you head to your room The last time I checked in here, the young guy that checked me in took quite awhile to get me a room key asked for my ID and never gave it back to me

Sure I definitely share responsibility for my own ID but when your so tired you can barely walk straight sometimes you just want to get in your room to settle down That’s exactly what happened Luckily I was able to remember that it was there where I last pulled it out So the hotel confirmed it was there But how annoying

Convenient location, clean, and a friendly receptionist to boot We were pleasantly surprised that this affordable room wasn’t terribly outdated and in a safe, quiet area Having the kitchenette was a big perk

We did notice that the basic plates, glasses and cutlery had lots of pieces missing (it would have been tough to serve any kind of meal), but the fridge and microwave were appreciated and came in handy for our late-night arrival and takeout pizza Comfortable bed and good variety of pillows We had trouble with the thermostat (never did figure out if either the wall or the stand-alone unit actually controlled anything), and woke up throughout the night sweating It was even hotter in the hallways, so bring light lounging/sleeping clothes The temperature was approx 50 degrees outside and, although it said it was 68 in our room, it was stiflingly hot Close to plenty of food options and quick access to the highway Overall quite pleased, and for the price, would definitely stay again

Ms Campbell

Flew into Jackson wanting to stay near the airport Chose Candlewood and wasdisappointed The grease on the cabinets was very visible and not cleaned

The shower caddy fell off the wall with no shower gel in the dispenser hurting my hand The white doors showed visible dirtiness I had to clean the room just to in in there The microwave handle was broken There was a dead roach on the floor then the next day there was a live roach on the his back on the floor I went looking for an outlet and looked behind the nightstand and it was nasty garbage and food Very unsatisfying I will stay next door at the holiday inn express from now on The only positive thing is the towels were nice and white

The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the dishes, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and table are extra nice!I stayed in this hotel for work trip to Jackson The restroom is a bit smaller than I am used to (shower only, no tub) and the size of the room is about average, but the storage is substantial and having a way to cook and clean up made for cheaper, healthier eating on this tripI would recommend this hotel

C L

IF THERE WAS A WORSE THAN 1 STAR OPTION THIS HOTEL WOULD DEFINITELY EARN IT!!Why oh why didn’t I pay attention to all these horrible reviews before I booked this hotel?Won’t even begin to list all the issues, from being quoted one price and invoiced a much higher amount, room not even close to clean, a manager who, after FIVE CALLS, would not answer Unbelievable Hilton can do MUCH better than this!

C Friday

Stayed at this hotel in 07/22 on the 4th floor with family including my 82 year old parent Complained about the room having plates (not eaten by us) under the beds The people that stayed above us were very loud

They were beating on the floor as hard it was making the pictures on the wall in our room shake After complaining about all of this The owner (Vic Patel) said he would only refund me $50, although I had prepaid and paid much more for my total stay of (3) nights during the 4th of July when things are higher!!!PLEASE PLEASE DON’T STAY AT THIS HOTEL Go next door as they have (2) others in the same parking lot When I return I will be going to one of the other ones You’ll still get the convince of being in the center of everything without stay HERE You’ve been WARNED!!

Stayed here for one night Everything was very clean, the rooms are a fantastic size, staff was very friendly, and there is a nice small hotel store for convenient snacks and drinks The bed was very comfortable, not too stiff and not to much give

Only reason for the deduction is the location of our room picked up all the noise of the highway and as a light sleeper it woke me up a lot Also, the breakfast was clean, orderly, and hot, just wish there were a few more options All in all would stay here again, the price was very reasonable too

I truly enjoyed my stay in Pearl, MS! The staff at the Fairfield was fun and attentive The hotel was in a great location, close to literally everything —— Restaurants, Gas stations, Coffee, etc The hotels breakfast was inclusive and I truly appreciate that as a Plant-based Pescatarian I had food that I could eat and there were milk alternatives present so that I wouldn’t have to go without! The room was clean and had a nice layout as well

I will definitely be returning to this area, I loved it as a halfway point You won’t regret it!

James Kendig

I travel for work, and am usually in a hotel 3 to 4 nights a week Anytime I’m in the Jackson area, I choose this location for several reasons The first being that Ifeel safe in this area than any other in Jackson

Secondly, the staff is always attentive to any needs that I may have, and a 🙂 after a long day at work is worth a lot There’s also anything you may need right around the hotel such as fuel, shopping and restaurants, and are open lateIf I do have any free time, there is a very nice bass pro shop just down the road and who doesn’t like spending some time hanging out in there? I would highly recommend this location On top of the other reasons I gave, the rooms are always clean, the hotel is modern, and it is the best value in the area

Very uncomfortable bed The bed was older and beat up very firm Was given a room over the main entrance to the hotel where the light shined in all night

Was next to a freeway that was very loud Unable to adjust the thermostat to a comfortable temperature It was cold when I would set the temperature up I’d wake up and it would automatically be set back to a colder temperature The breakfast was sparse and the items were not good The hotel was older and somewhat rundown Would definitely notrecommend

If this Hotel was named Motel 6, it wasn’t surprised me muchMe and my wife and my two boys stays most of the time at Holiday inn Express, but we never had this kind of bad experienceGenerally This hotel doesn’t qualify to have the name “Holiday inn Express ” horrible

Bathroom is old and we sow molds around, the beds are supposed to be recycled too old, the bed sheets looks like didn’t changed from previous guest, and uncomfortable, the room was not vacuumed at least for the last two months, we sow trash around the room, windows are dirty, the room smells like suffocationWorkers has no name badges on, breakfast was horrible, the coffee in the breakfast room was from last day, the girl who was serving the breakfast was just look like came direct from Club, nutting was invited us to eat a breakfast at this hotelWe arrived a bit late night on Saturday, we was tired of driving all the way from Floridaso we had no choice we slept thereAuthorities for Hotels and restaurants must inspect this hotel very soon

An excellent value for the accommodations Rooms and common areas were clean It appeared to be recently updated

The breakfast options were numerous with both hot and cold food options and a variety of beverage choices (3 different juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, various milk options) The lady taking care of the breakfast area was very nice to us and our childrenLocation seemed to be safe and was easy to get off and on of interstate and to get to various food options for supper

Room very clean Check in was quick and efficient We had a room on the first floor

The rooms on this floor are numbered with the smaller numbers farthest from the front desk and the largest numbers closest to the desk Our room was 110 It has a very bright outside light underneath the window The drapes block most of the light It is like a night light as far as brightness I had also read reviews about hearing the front desk phone in your room This was noticeable in the couch area but not when I was in bed Bathroom was very clean with instant hot water and high pressure Breakfast was delicious I was disappointed that they didn’t have sausage gravy or grits This is the southI was surprised at the 55 inch (guess) tv Slept fantastic I felt very safeI would recommend this facility

This hotel has class and character! The rooms are comfortable and quiet The lobby is a nice place to meet friends and family The breakfast is amazing offering more than any other breakfast in town in a buffet which I like

The hostess in the restaurant spoils you like you are special family (the hostess alone is reason enough to come back to this hotel! The exercise room has everything I need I love elegance and southern charm and this hotel is delightfully both!

Tired from traveling I just blew it off but the wonderful staff and Management did return half the cost of the room Very very very nice and friendly staff Best I’ve been very encountered with everyone as a team in this country! Best 🤣 f the best! Across the street from Amtrak! Picture taken from room window looking down on Amtrak! Beautiful hotel

It is insane that Hilton has such differences of standards among its hotels The Jackson one is just terrible ! Found a dirty underwear in the corner of my room – got to change it (the room)

No room service available so no food late No laundry service available, which might explain point 1 I stayed 2 days and could not get my room done despite posting the sign on the door while the next two rooms were being done ! As if the policy is to not do the room daily for multiple night stay Overall the hotel is poorly maintained, dirty and without any charm Only positive point was the kindness of the lady managing the breakfast
