One of the best hotels!!! Very comfortable mattress, sofa bed included in our room, the pool was awesome! We had so much fun The free breakfast was good, they made us waffles, and they had sweet bread, toast, cereal, boiled eggs, biscuits with hot gravy, coffee, orange juice

everything is definitely worth the price To the back of the hotel they have an access to walk to the beach We will be back soon thank you 😇

Alondra Mireles

I booked through booking, and our stay at Ramada was great Inexpensive, and your stay comes with beach access, a little gym, free breakfast, a park right next to the Ramada, a restaurant on the bottom floor, washer and dryer on site, a swimming pool, and a nice little balcony view to hang out at with a view of the beach Smelled, and looked very clean

The rooms were spotless, the breakfast waffles, and park was a plus for my daughter We wish we would’ve been able to try out the pool, but definitely booking with y’all again ☺️

KrisSoBlue Rangel

Better off going out to go get breakfast, there was broken down boxes on top of unoccupied tables, only hot food other than boiled eggs was waffles Limited front desk staff was a major disappointment when it came to checking in Only had one ice machine that worked every other hour or so

Room was the only good thing about the experience except for the paper thin walls For the price that was paid and during previous visits, I expected way better from this place

I LOVE this place It is a quiet, pet friendly, clean, relaxing, and restful place The service is above and beyond for anything you need

Problems are solved fast as they can The front desk helped me so much I have been going 5 years in a rowThe Cafe is amazing The service is more European and relaxed The food is great with an amazing food Pet friendlyAll this with an amazing access to the beach The beach area is less crowded and always can find a place close to the water

Amy Jo

I’d stay here againThe pros: Pet friendly, good location, cleanThe negs: Limited & tight parking, tap water

Unfortunately the very unpleasant tap water is used for drinks and ice so even the margaritas turn out horrible especially for the high price I am sure the use of a water filter could remedy this problem Also the restaurant staff should be more knowledgeable of the menu Providing koozies would also improve the beer drinking situation The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean The bed was comfy Enjoyed the view from the patio and easy access to the pretty beach

Rosalee S.

We didn’t have anything pre-booked We called around and either had no one answer or rude customer service I called The Palm’s and Ralph was super nice and helpful

I was so glad he had a room left and let me tell y’all it WAS meant to be!! Everything about this place was perfect Seriously, you guys saved our trip and made the whole experience PERFECT We will be back soon and will be booking here again

Admittedly, this hotel is older and could use a face-lift But, this hotel has location, location, location Beachfront

Biggest complaint was that there was not breakfast, BUT out room had a full kitchenette with a stove They even supplied all the pots, pans and silverware One burner didn’t work on the stove but other than that it was great Balcony view was amazing Hot tub and pool were great Check in/out was easy and there wasn’t an issue with parking

Soledad Schuller

Asked for some pans and they were brought over right away The person helping me, also noticed a blanket that was old and brought me a new one The next day, the cleaning crew came by and brought me fresh towels, coffee and more shampoo and soap

Everyone was very accommodating I will always recommend this hotel, service and the people are excellent Thank you!

Shan L

I have to agree with the people saying the people leaving great reviews had to have been paid off! If you’re going to stay here just grin and bear it It’s very outdated and after reading the reviews and how old and outdated this place is The same complaints have been going on it’s obvious there’s no plans on any updates being done

The location is ideal the walk to the beach is not The sand is very hot and hard to walk through on the trail to get to the beach There’s cactuses and thorns on the path to the beach that could potentially be a bad thing if you lost your balance The breakfast consisted of old donuts and pop tarts For the cost to stay here it’s over priced compared to other places I’ve stayed that offer so much more for the same price or less They don’t accommodate early check ins and make you wait until 4! The cleanliness is bad! The room wasn’t cleaned, it had old foil and the carpet and floor was dirty It could be that the carpet is very old and looks like the original carpet from when this place was built! The bed and pillows were like bricks! Very very very uncomfortable! If you are here to enjoy the beach and don’t care about a good nights rest then you might be good with that! Parking is a nightmare! The pool is flooded with kids! Everything about this place is old and tore up! Appealing on the outside but the inside tells a different story! Do your homework and research before booking! There’s better places around and more bang for your buck! The owner of the place is cheap!!!! Do better!!

The resort is great Right on the beach Gorgeous view

The staff were very nice We stayed in Unit 305 While the unit is very pretty, the couch and chairs are the worst! The couch sinks so badly, we had to put every pillow in the condo under the couch cushions so that we could sit on it without falling through to the frame That is our only complaint But it’s a really big deal to us because the four of us were so uncomfortable The view was amazing and the updates were very nice

Lori Reyes

Let me start by saying this review has nothing to do with Seabreeze The staff at Seabreeze is amazing, caring and very attentive Seabreeze gets 5 stars

This review is about Unit #204 Do NOT stay in this unit It is old and out dated The owner does not keep up with maintenance and is not willing to fix things properly the first time During our stay, there were 4 blinds missing in the master bedroom which overlooks the pool They did get fixed but the first night we had no privacy and sunlight early am There are blinds in the living rooms and master but no curtains so be ready for sunlight early The master bathroom celling was peeling The kitchen garbage can was broken To top it all off, the washer was not working the entire trip

Good hotel at a great location Check-in was quick, the room was clean, the breakfast was reliable, and, most importantly, it’s a two-minute walk to the beach Being able to go back and forth between the hotel and the beach is a big selling point

They even have a place to rinse off before heading back into the hotel Being pet-friendly was also a plus It’s walkable to some good restaurants but the island is so small, you’re a short drive to just about anywhere This was our first trip to South Padre (the week before Independence Day no less) and we were pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it was

Brittney H

The hotel itself is hidden behind another building and you’ll drive right past the “Comfort Suites” sign because it’s small There’s very little parking so be aware of that before making reservations The staff is friendly and the place is clean

has an old smell to it though I slept very peaceful and would recommend it overall, especially if you don’t plan to spend much time in your room anyway

Araceli PV

Horrible hotel and customer service This hotel is very old with a terrible musty odor For the price we paid, we expected 5 star service

We were moved to three different rooms One had a leak under the faucet All their rooms have connecting doors The staff is rude, they look frustrated They advertise beach view, that is a lie There is no beach view, other hotels block the beach view This hotel desperately needs a major renovation Save your money, don’t stay here Pay a little extra and stay somewhere else, such as the Holiday Inn or Courtyard Marriott Pricy, but excellent service and amenities

Love the bar and restaurant service The hot sauce jelly made by Chef Carlos is outstanding Holy cow his hot sauce is worth the visit

Bartender Alex and bartender Shane are most excellent Love room 199 If we needed anything the manager Chris took care of it This place has an old school appeal that we love I hear there are doing a full renovation during the off season Can not wait to come back

If you are looking for the Ritz then you are about 3 stars short; however, if you are looking for a genuine SPI hangout then the stars start to fly Karaoke with Leslie is great It is fun to hear music that I grew up with and oldies that my parents love

Leslie has a broad range and the stamina to sing like very few performers I have seenI have gone to this location for the last 20 years and the new remodel definitely makes this a fantastic value The additions are great and the property has greatly improved You will have lots of traffic here so my suggestion is realize where you are going and that this has been a family budget hangout and a local favorite for years so if you are looking for quiet then you need to be realisticThe bar makes fantastic drinks and the staff are friendly Like any place, if you are rude, expect a response Our world is too fickle now Treat people nice and these people are amazing You will not find better food on a budget than the coconut shrimp and stuffed crab and burgers This is highly recommended The restrooms are outside so realize what you are getting This is a beach destination for those who want to have fun without pretenseBeing that this is rated on Google as a 2 star hotel, I would rate it as 5 stars amongst its two star competitors (Thumbs up!)

No breakfast offered Room was small It didn’t sleep 5-6 people like it said

I paid for a room to sleep that many people and it only could fit two full size beds No ocean view rooms like it says on some booking sites Lights was constantly flickering on and off Walls and ceilings were paper thin Found a dead roach in the bathroom and a live roach in the lamp shade Bathroom door doesn’t really close Toilet lid doesn’t stay up for guys to use it No 24 hours front desk Bar doesn’t stay open late and doesn’t offer much food later in the night Food was decent Drinks were okay The pool is very small and shallow They had music going on Saturday night but not Friday night The room I got was nothing like any of the pictures from the booking sites I wish I had taken a picture to show the room compared to what I thought I was paying for We got there at 6ish and had to check in at the bar They got an employee to walk us to the small lobby that isn’t open 24 hrs At least there was free parking

Ceiling fans in room, Clean, memory foam beds, cold ac, quiet, very nice staff On the quiet, less populated end of the island, a super quick walk to the beach and sea turtle Inc I was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel

A folding rack for wet swimsuits would be very nice to add, or more places to hang wet things, so it doesn’t wet the carpet The pool could use more skimming, there were a lot of bugs, plant material floating in it Pool was a little warm due to the sun, but it felt great The hot tub is hot enough to cook shrimp in, it’s HOT Elevators are creaky, but they get you there! Front desk kindly let us see the room before booking – we had a bad experience elsewhere, so this was appreciated Computers available to use for guests, a beautiful aquarium in the lobby as well Smelled clean and pleasant in the room A great nights sleep overall, at a reasonable price, even with the current economics of the country Note: this is on the NORTH end next to Sea Turtle Inc, this is a regular holiday Inn, not the resort! Some reviewers were confused with the 2 Holiday Inns on the island, so thought I’d add that

Evelyn Abundis

Everything was perfect, from the location, to the amenities, and the super friendly and helpful staff! We stayed here when the resort was in transition from an old hotel that was turning into the Holiday Inn Resort During that stay, we had several issues, which was understandable, but after speaking to the manager, Rene, he made up for it the second time around This second stay there was absolutely amazing

Even the bartender in the pool was super helpful and friendly, he was very attentive and we did not go more than 3-5 minutes without a drink The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept Will definitely be staying here every single time that we come back down to SPI

Rene Sanchez

holiday inn express is a hidden gem away from the busy part of the island Front desk staff along with the housekeeping is friendly and informativeMy wife and I also enjoyed all the amenities the hotel has to offer

Freezing cold mini fridge, great AC, microwave, comfy bed, along with a lounger and a sofa in our room We were pleasantly surprised The one thing I can say is that maybe housekeeping should get there own elevator I kinda had to wait around for one to be available since they would use it for there cart and end up taking the whole space makes checking out a bit hectic when you are getting things down from your room Other than that everything was great definitely staying here again!

Resort was okay Front desk staff were nice & check in was quick The lobby was very clean & the bar was big

We were on the 3rd floor & couldn’t get phone service in the room As a business owner it was very important to have service everywhere we went so this was a bit of a let down as we kept having to exit our room & go to the balcony by the elevators Three of us have different carriers AT&T, Cricket & T-Mobile & none of them worked in the room Wifi was spotty The room smelled musty and the carpets were slightly damp when we first got to the room The safe in the room didn’t work which was fine as we didn’t need it The bathroom was very very small I am 5’1 120lbs & found it very hard to maneuver in there The beds need to be updated Being a resort I figured the beds would be pillow tops or better quality On the Saturday 6/24 when we arrived, the hotel bars were experiencing some issues with the credit card machines The drink area across from the center pool was only accepting cash which was fine but some others were turned away I enjoyed the swim-up bar pool & the DJ was playing so many great tunes That pool area was having issues with their cc machine also but it was resolved while we were there The pools are not deep but were also not crowded so if your just lounging it is ideal Access to the beach was great & it was very clean Check out was quick & staff was very helpful Overall it was okay Price didn’t match the quality of the rooms

Sonia Araiza

Raul (front desk) supervisor was awesome!! He answered all our questions on where to eat, pool locations and gave us a map of the resort Room was super clean and the breakfast buffet was limited but everything was fresh!! Homemade waffles and omelets made right in front of you! 😊 Quick access to the beach and they have a swim up bar & we took full advantage of it! 🍾🌞 Great customer service, thank you all & Raul!!!

Byanka Salce

This is the second time we stay here it was reluctantly at first bc the first time wasn’t too memorable but also not terribleI’m so glad we came back I realized that staying at Tower B was MUCH more ideal

You have no idea I will be requesting of as much as possible for next times There are 3 pools No over crowding! How ideal is that? Access to the beach and great staff Basically…clean rooms, accessibility, fun, 3 pools, great and family friendly

Long, but please readThe only reason we stayed at this hotel was because somehow the original hotel we booked was booked for next year instead There were no other hotels with vacancy and we needed a place to stay

We stayed in one of their “apartment” rooms and it was terrible I know this is a one-star hotel, I didn’t expect much, but this was atrocious First thing I noticed was the HUGE gaps in the edges of the front door It didn’t fit properly in the door frame which would allow whatever kinds of bugs inside The smell of new paint was overwhelming The bathroom seemed like some sort of DIY project with no insulation in those walls, because as soon as we opened the plywood “door” it was very hot The water pressure was pretty much nonexistentWhen we got back from dinner there was a HUGE roach inside by the couch, which was not surprising because of the previously mentioned gaps in the door frame I’ve saved the best for last two different times throughout the night I woke up in a panic because I felt a crawling sensation Once on my leg, once on my arm In the morning my fiance felt the same thing on his arm, then forehead, then his other arm and when he quickly moved it, he flung a roach to the floor THERE HAD BEEN A ROACH IN OUR BED ALL NIGHT He did not tell me until we had checked out and were on the road that he had also felt the crawling sensation and had seen the actual roach I have an extreme phobia of roaches and if he had told me when it happened I would’ve completely lost itTo top it all off, we paid over $300 for this room This room is not worth even $50 If we were ever in a bind again with a messed up hotel booking, I would choose to sleep in the car rather than stay in this hotel even if the room was free

Emily Nickles

Alas, we were there for a night in early June 2020 and have meant to leave a review much sooner Our living space was perfect for the night and at the epicenter of all activity despite the newness of the pandemic We followed CDC recommendations as did the establishment

We totally broke a piece of furniture while staying and notified the owner while checking out They were very understanding and flexible as we did attempt to reimburse them for the damage (We feel terrible) But the owners were again, very generous and kind I can’t imagine a better place to stay in port Isabel Many thanks!

Danielle Larkin

Great room and pet friendly! Quiet area Room had a kitchenette complete with a microwave, fridge, cupboard, and sink It was an additional $10 a night for a pet, (2 maximum)but that was the cheapest price I had found

Floor does not have carpeting, so if you are bringing a pet, bring a pet bed or blanket WiFi was not great Went in and out a lot, so if that is important, you may want to keep that in mind Pool was very clean and well maintained The Bay was completely fenced off when we were there, so there was no access to it It looks like they are building over there, so it will be that way for awhile It is still only a 10 minute drive to South Padre Everything you need is anywhere between a 2 to 10 minute drive Great place for the budget conscious sand pet loving traveler!

Our stay was great, Chantal helped with the booking process over the phone and check in the next day, and following with checkout She was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make her customers happy The hotel was good for our family

Clean and very accessible Quiet and close to the beach Thank you Chantal you made the stay from great to excellent 😀

Vicki M.

The rates were very reasonable as I booked online having never been here Upon early arrival we were pleased to find that Chantal had made sure our room was ready for an earlier than normal check in She had given us a great room on the ground floor because I had mentioned that my husband was disabled

This is an older place but it was very clean and quiet I don’t understand any of the negative reviews I’ve read because we thought everything was great! Hot water Convenient location Super friendly staff Go Chantal! Can’t wait to go stay again!

William Tompkins (Live Music in Austin)

Cass Rosa Inn Great place for convenience and ease of access to S Padre Island proper Located in Port Isabel

There are all of the conveniences of home around you Grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, fast food, coffeeThe staff was amazingly nice I was so very pleased at how great the all were Even Oscar, the maintenance man was fantastic!Be aware, they do rent rooms here monthly so there are people that actually live here That does change the vibe a little – as these folks are a little territorial and not quite the fun tourists you would normally expect in a beach townThe rooms are very dated, But clean It is clean outside as well The pool is nice The lobby is stunningly beautiful – the staircase is subtle, but then you see it, wow!Overall for the price, location, and the staff, we would stay here again
