Hotel looks really good from the outside but the deluxe king we stayed in was a bit run down The pillows were small and don’t have any support The bathroom was on the ‘open concept’ side where there is a half wall so if you had to use the toilet, you were basically using it in the open -sounds and everything
Door also didn’t close properly and the noise from the rooftop bar was hard to ignore Walls are also super thin Sucks because I wanted a nice time away Views were nice though
Sargine Knight
Let’s start with the front desk area smelled soooo good and clean The room was very clean The bathroom is beautiful
The balcony had a great view There was a wedding or party going on so we had great music the whole evening which was a plus Only down side is that we thought there was a restaurant at the hotel but there wasn’t Overall it was a good, comfortable, much needed stay
Iloveyou Holder
I would suggest booking the balcony room only for the beautiful view of the east river and 59th St bridge The neighborhood is a bit run down and not many grocery stores around The lobby area reeked of air deodorizer, made it hard to breathe
Valet parking was easy and convenient The bathroom was very modern and clean The posh summer club pool on the rooftop is amazing Great drinks, music and vibes Hotel guest get a $25 discount off the admission price Get there early to secure a spot under the umbrellas I would definitely visit again

The staff were amazing, including the very fast service to change out my TV remote when I called down to ask for assistance for my TV: within 2 minutes a service person arrived to assist I recommend room 1404 for the Central Park view We had two rooms, and they were quite large for NYC standards
The breakfast was great; the chef visited all the tables to make sure the diners were happy The door men were great hailing taxis for me The beds were super comfy, and there was no street noise emanating from outside Kudos to the reception staff and the concierge, they were super helpful! I will always stay at the Essex; New York City is back!!!

Had to book a last minute stay and had a great experience All the staff were super friendly and engaging Room was clean (enough) and quiet (at night–morning had some sort of construction happening in the area which is obviously not the hotel’s fault)
Bartender was fantastic, restaurant only open on the weekends! Location is a bit tough if you are commuting elsewhere in Brooklyn or Manhattan but a great little oasis Would definitely stay again!

A lovely old style hotel in the up and coming area of Brooklyn, handily placed for visits to Manhattan as well We were there for a few days and a wedding in the rooftop restaurant with great views towards ManhattanThe rooms and bed were fantastic, also a great bathroom
Not much food on offer but a good bar
Amy Hanrahan
Upon entry the front desk staff wasn’t the warmest, but not rude at all, the vibe was just slightly off, but it was all made better when we entered our roomWe stayed in a Superior Room with City Views and even though the room is compact it was beautifully appointed with fun antique pieces that felt very homey and less hotel-genericThe bathroom was small but had tons of towels, great ventilation and my favorite thing, liquid hand soap!!The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the sheets were perfect, though my partner stubbed his toe pretty bad on the bed frame trying to get out of the bed and insisted I mention that, lol
The balcony small, and very close to neighbors, but was still my favorite part of our stay, I loved being able to step out there and take in the quite neighborhood (Some construction can be heard in the distance but it’s not that serious)We stayed at the property to have a view of the firework show on the East River and it was perfect, they opened the event space on the roof and the view was amazing They usually host weddings and private events only, so to be able to go up there was very much appreciatedOverall a wonderful stay and I would HIGHLY recommend if you are wanting to stay in the neighborhood or just looking for something different

Great location Straight shot from Grand Central if you exit though the market Plenty of places to eat within short walking distance, including 3 Japanese restaurants if that’s your thing
The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable No microwave in room so you have to go the breakfast area to reheat 😐 Speaking of which, it was okay, but nothing to rave about It was included so I’m not complaining Walls are thin, but the block is pretty quiet in general Excellent service at the front desk The TV had an annoying glitch It was the same for someone else who was part of our group Our room didn’t have a bathroom heater, which my girlfriend usually loves In summary it was a good stay, especially since we got a good deal It usually is more expensive than what we booked it for

hotel, staff is amazing, especially Ms Asia, she is great and really helpfully lady Hotel is at great location only few minutes walk from Grand Central Station

Kaina at the front desk was super friendly and helpful The breakfast looked decent, although I didn’t get to try it myself there was good seating area and seemed like people were enjoying it We had lots of fun in New York and coming back to rest here was honestly great
The grand central subway was like 2 blocks down so that was very convenient I would definitely recommend and I’ll be going back soon!

This is a 3-star hotel My bed, room, bathroom, tables, ac, and fridge were all clean and this is what I find most important I found no evidence of pests
Overall great experienceOne thing I would recommend to the management is to install blackout curtains on the room (king-size bed) window, as my window did not have those It will help in giving the customer a good night sleep since the sun rises at 5am this time of year
Samantha B
I booked my reservation 2 months in advance but when I showed up to the hotel to check in, the hotel had cancelled my reservation without ever notifying me I was informed that it is not hotel policy to inform people if there are issues with a reservation or a cancellation when you book online Since I was under a time crunch, I couldn’t go somewhere else and had to take a room at double the process I originally booked
I supposedly had a premium room, the air conditioning didn’t work (constantly shut off and would not stay on), we could hear everything happening in the rooms around us, and there were bugs The hotel staff was not helpful in solving any of our issues While I have stayed here before, I definitely will never stay here again
Jacquelynn Guerrette
First off, there is no free breakfast or breakfast of any kind, even though it is advertised DONT STAY IN TOOM 202Going in, I felt it was a little dinghy, like a high end motel
We get our room (room 202) and it came with a balcony to the view of scaffolding The balcony was filled with dead bugs and cigarettes Mold in the bathroom ceiling The room was so small, they had left used conditioner in the bathroom, instead of giving us a new one The best part was the AC wasn’t working We had to call someone to fix it Which was him taking the thermostat off the wall and bringing it closer to the AC After a couple of hours, the AC is off again and we couldn’t fix it They ended up moving us at 12am to a new room with a working AC This hotel was definitely not with $198……I also have yet to get my $100 deposit back, so I will have to be calling my bank this evening But out if the bad experience, the worker that was there for the night was very nice Honestly won’t ever stay there again

Great staff, The room was small but well-appointed Hint rooms close to elevator have no view: 802,and probably 801 I know have no view to anything but another building There is also no lobby space
The gym is very much what I expect of Hilton– free weights, multiple bikes, treadmills etc, cable weight machine, benches Location is great 2 blocks from central park, half block from Russian Tea room Tons of upscale dining in the area I would return to this property without hesitation

I recently stayed at Vista LIC for 8 nights I had a very good experience and am glad I chose this hotel It is only 4 short blocks (5 min walk) to an uncrowded subway station, and only 2 stops from Manhattan
I was traveling alone and felt very safe The room was very quiet and clean, bed was super comfortable and the shower was nice and hot Definitely pay the extra for a room with a view of Manhattan It is well worth it- it looks like a postcard I needed a fridge to store medication and they accommodated immediately The rooftop bar and restaurant is super cool with amazing views The room price is very reasonable and a great value If you’re looking for a nice NYC hotel without paying the ridiculous Manhattan prices, this is the place for you
Walter Gottlieb
I can’t say enough good things about this hotel It was comfortable, convenient, had good amenities, and the staff was super-friendly and helpful It is located in a relatively quiet neighborhood and you feel like you are living there for a little while
Very walkable area and close to cafes, restaurants, stores, and attractions like MoMa at PS1 We chose a king room with city view and it was definitely worth a few extra bucks This hotel was a great value and I would definitely come back againDate of stay: February 2022

The room was by far the largest I have stayed in NYC There were 2 queen beds but the view was of some office The front desk was incredibly courteous and helpful considering we had significant luggage
The hotel gym and pool are a mere disappointment It feels claustrophobic as they are in the basementThe room had a kitchenette so that was amazing since we could order food from outside and have it at the dining table The housekeeping was great too Although, they don’t offer free water bottles after first dayThe breakfast was very average and overpriced so I would suggest to eat outsideThis is a good property but by no means a 5 star They are somewhere between 3-4 starsPro tip: There are a couple of open parking spots where you can park your car for free for at least an hourWill not visit them again

This hotel is a gem, the staff is so accommodating and nice, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and clean, the most comfortable bed ever! The indoor pool is heated and super clean, they also have a fabulous Sauna! The hotel itself has a cute little bar and restaurant where they have amazing drinks and great food, the hotel isn’t loud and is very classy with lots of art everywhere I came with my kids and it was great to go to a hotel that is so kid friendly and has a staff that’s so pleasant! Will make this an annual visit!
Ann Marie Ly
Really clean and beautiful hotel in NY Felt really cozy and spacious for our entire stay We were trying to stay near friends who lived nearby but feel like we would book this spot again regardless
There was a mixup with our reservation that was booked through a 3rd party but Rachel at the front desk cleared everything up and gave us the same room and made it a non issue which is great since I did not want to be on the phone with customer service on vacation! I called and spoke with Rachel after the vacation and figured out the issue and it was no problem getting the previous reservation refunded Amazing service and a really cozy stay Would love to come back here again!

I would like to thank Kate and Liz at the front desk for their Hospitality Before arriving at the Hotel, we have contacted them for several inquiries, they were helpful and extremely friendly During our stay, we enjoyed the room and the lobby
Very clean hotel Nice location Next door there was a Mexican Restaurant, we enjoyed being able to have some nice food after a long ride Kate responded every inquiry over the Hilton Honors App promptly We thank them a lot I couldn’t have been more happy!
Ashleigh Johnson
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had dealing with a hotel My daughter was sitting there for two hours to check-in The female manager is unprofessional and disrespectful
She’s not knowledgeable about the hotel and guidelines I had to call the Hilton call center three times just to check in The didn’t have any requested information We are not firm the area and the customer service was not good at all! The hotel was okay and wasn’t worth it We wasted more time checking in with no respect I would not recommend this hotel at all!
Christi Orozco
Nice place, lots to do and see in the area If you are a honors member and eating in the restaurant, the wait staff says they will discount on your final bill, you get the final bill, and it’s not It’s just ridiculous that every other Hilton can figure this out except at this location
I spent quite a bit of time reaching out to the hotel to fix this; and it never happened It’s not that difficult guys 🤷♂️

Cannot say enough how great of a stay we had Super friendly staff that helps you out of the car, to the front desk We had a small incident during our stay (no fault of the hotel) and had the opportunity to work it out with the staff who made everything right without hesitation
I was impressed! Still impressed, and will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyoneOur room was great size, hot water, quite and very clean Keep up the good work Warwick!

We had a “Premier Suite” with a great view of brick walls 4 feet out our windows The “great view” was never mentioned when I booked the room The bathtub and bathroom floor were so slippery I almost had to crawl around after a shower
Only 3 very small elevators for a hotel this size is a fire hazard I will not be staying there again On a positive the doorman was excellent

We had the most beautiful stay! The hotel is classic, elegant and historic Our standard room was spacious for New York Most importantly for me, I had no complaints about the cleanliness
Above all, the staff made us feel super comfortable Doorman John welcomed us warmly and sweetened our days 🙂 We will miss him! We would come again anytime!

Staying at Pestana Park Avenue was an AMAZING experience My sister and I were celebrating our birthdays and the staff was super nice, welcoming, they kept our luggage while our room was ready Our room was BEAUTIFUL, super comfortable, clean, and good size for two people

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here! Absolutely loved this room I was so impressed! The room itself was wonderful, so cute and spacious and that view overlooking the city! Wow! Really enjoyed the shower and the products Loved that they have Nespresso pods in the room but also lattes in the lobby! The decor is chic and cozy Also I had a balcony -swoon what a treat! The staff was very sweet and had great suggestions and were super accommodating! Also loved the location as it was very close to public transit and very easy to get everywhere
I went to theater every night and felt very safe walking back from the Broadway district to the hotel alone! The hotel opened during COVID then closed so it’s very new I honestly can’t wait to come back! 10/10 highly recommend from me!

Fantastic, friendly service by everyone at the front desk and the cleaning staff We had a lovely week long stay, and this was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at in recent yearsPlenty of croissants and bagels in the morning (and condiments) as part of their continental breakfast, and the coffee machine (a big multi function Starbucks espresso machine) was sublime
Would highly recommend a stay here Everything was amazing, clean, and the location was very, very central

This is a very decent business-oriented boutique hotel- I really like the compact front desk & hallway and the minimalist aesthetics Room of course is the New York small but is very clean The accompanied restaurant is also compact but nice
I know this is probably not the properties’ fault but after Hilton changes the way Diamond members get food credit the credit here couldn’t even cover a basic breakfast, which is disappointing The wifi needs some work as well

I most say for the price being so low I am happy with with my stay here Room was clean 5/5Bathroom was clean 5/5Service was great 5/5Bed was comfortable 46/5Only down fall is there was no waters in the room or vending in the hotel
Not a big deal I know but convenience is nice, overall nice place to stay for business trip or a weekend stay in the cityTrip

I love this place! Especially great when visiting NYC for work The concierge attends to your needs efficiently Our room was very clean when we got there, and it’s very hard to hear any disturbances outside of your room
The park terrace is a nice, relaxing spot to study or work after getting your free coffee Alternatively, you’re simply steps away from Blue Bottle and Bryant Park La Pécora Bianca provided great service and food Friendly service all around
Jessica Loo
Overall, the stay was disappointing given the high ratings/reviews For the price, much more was expected and there are better options nearbyPros: Location was convenient for midtown, right next to Bryant Park
Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpfulCons: The bathroom was not designed with utility in mind There was no ventilation, hardly anywhere to hang clothes/towels, and the plug points were situated very low so the hairdryer did not sit comfortably The queen bed was very small The sheets and bedding did not feel particularly clean and weren’t comfortable Felt itchy and noticed bite marks that look like bed bug bites, but cannot confirm if they are indeed from bed bugs or some other insect

Rooms could do more/better cleaning, I found a couple of hairs in my bathroom Very unpleasantThe hotel reception gentleman who received us was very welcoming and helpful
They have blankets in beds instead of duvets which I think it is not hygienic as they don’t get washed per guess stayThe hotel decor is fab and I love it, i can’t get enough of the wall paper and drawings The rooms decor are a little bit more bland with comfortable beds Good size for an NY hotel with 2 large windows which I welcomedNoisy air-conditioningMy room had an American bath tub with a shower over it and curtainAmenities on the poor side with hand soap, body milk, body gel and shampoo No bath rope nor sleepers in the roomSmall deep wardrobe with iron and iron board and small safeRecommended specially for its location

I was so excited to stay at this hotel It looked great and in a fun part of town I had a Very, very disappointing stay
I checked in, and the staff member could not have been any less attentive She didn’t smile; she told me nothing about the hotel (is there a bar, a fitness centre, or what is near)I had a small room, no mini bar in the room, and no coffee makerOn their Hotel Services screen in the room, they say you can have complimentary coffee, tea and water 24 hours a day, ask at the front desk When you ask, they say, “Oh no, Only between 06:00 and 11:30 “, so they are false Advertising their services The fitness centre is also not open 24 hours as advertised in the rooms Just a nasty place all around Even 2* South African hotels are usually way better equippedI will most definitely never stay here again, and for the price, you would expect a lot more I would instead move back to the Hilton Millennium, where they always treat you well and provide excellent service
Tyler Barrett
Overall, a great place to stay The location is conveniently located within walking distance to public transit as well as shops/restaurants in midtown Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful
The hotel has a jazz theme which felt cool and inviting The room was clean, spacious for Manhattan, and we were lucky enough to also have a great view Would definitely recommend to others, and would stay here again

They were kind and friendly and ensured a great stay We didn’t have to worry about cleaning off the cars in the morning as there is a covered parking garage The rooms are spacious and very clean Our short stay was everything we needed and more Thank you to all… we will return

We had a bridal shower at Inn at Great Neck in April 2022 for my niece and everything was wonderful! Our guests enjoyed it The event exceeded my expectations As part of the package, we received overnight accommodation at the hotel for my niece and her fiancé
My niece told me they had a terrific stay and that it was like a mini-vacation The overnight accommodation was a fantastic bonus, the cherry on the top of the cake, for the entire eventAnthony, the sales manager, really went above and beyond His attention to detail was super thorough from the placement of balloons and flowers to the setup of the room, the “Winner” stickers, and the photo collage His extra help made such a difference in making the event a success The food was deliciousAmy, the server, was top-notch She was very attentive and responsive to my niece, our guests, and any requests that came up Bria, the bartender, and Alex, the valet, were both very helpful and super friendlyWe would definitely hold an event again at the Inn at Great Neck!

Great spot cute room Restaurant was lovely Abraham was server twice he was personal efficient and paid close attention to detail
Nice vibe at the bar down stairs Bar service was a bit slower and the one bartender although beautiful long hair it was not pulled up or back they kept touching it and it kind of grossed me out SorryThe upstairs pool area is lovely and the view and sunset were wonderful Also the doorman were helpful with direction and with the elevator I felt right at home!!!

While we did not stay at the hotel, we did enjoy a few drinks and high tea at the Williamsburg Hotel bar and restaurant We loved the experience at the bar There was a brilliant Brazilian jazz quartet and female vocalist that really set the mood
We were taken care of very well by bartender Marcel (we highly recommend his French 75) He was personable, friendly, and welcoming The quality of the high tea cuisine was great, but the service in the restaurant was only so-so But, overall a fantastic experience The next time we’re in Brooklyn we will seriously consider staying at the Williamsburg Hotel
David Seabrook
An independent hotel in north Williamsburg We stayed a week on a special “Sleep with a local” package which offered inclusive breakfasts and a generous meal credit off the room price, which was fairly steep, so very good value overall The breakfasts were excellent, and the room was very comfortable
Unfortunately the pool was closed and the rooftop bar appeared to have a 70’s disco in it, so we didn’t hang out there for too long The lounge bar on the other hand was relaxing and on some nights had live jazz bands, which gave a very classy atmosphere, although it does get crowded as the venue is open to the general public Well located for exploring Brooklyn and NYC, with lovely views of Manhattan from the riverside which is a short walk away
