This place was amazing! Me and my husband went to Puerto Rico for the first time for our honeymoon and decided to stay at this hotel – we just got back about a week ago The customer service was incredible! When we booked, we booked a resort view room to try and save some money, but when we got to the hotel and they realized it was our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a ocean view room – it made our day! The following night they left a bottle of champagne and some dessert for us as a surprise treat with a sweet note They also secured a ride for us back to the airport for the day we left so we didn’t have to worry about it

The most friendly people I’ve ever met! Apart from that, the views were beautiful and the resort had a lot to offer – multiple restaurants, pools, and a casino, along with an enterprise desk right in the hotel in case you want to rent a car for a day I can’t say enough good things about this place We will be going back!

Had a great time Overall an amazing experience Everyone was friendly minus some of the bartenders

Most of the bartenders were great though It’s five o’clock somewhere grill is probably a 1* but, the other outdoor grill is much better Wish there was room service all day long instead of just breakfast and dinnerMaid service was great and they were all friendly and accommodating They are quick to bring you whatever you need Bathrooms were a bit outdated, but the room and bed were greatRoom was very cold when we arrived so that was nice Air conditioning works way better than you can ask for If you go below 70 you will need a jacket or an extra blanket That made it nice for sleeping I A very humid environment We got a great view with a good size balcony

We were there for a week and it was a great vacation The hotel was beautiful and well kept, very comfortable The pools were amazing especially that they had a separate adult “quiet” pool

The restaurants were excellent, people were very friendly and accommodating There were plenty of restaurants with different food choices and hours of availability Very well run hotel Would definitely return!

The accommodations are incredible, our room spacious and beautifully clean daily, the staff bends over backward to be helpful and friendly The food is very good and our experience at the Hibachi restaurant the other night was delightful

A lot of food so be careful ordering appetizers; you’ll be stuffed😉 The beach is relaxing and the pools are immense! My one concern is wanting to bring more family with us, I did not see any food for kids under the age of 12 ***Please*** create a kids’ menu with those simple things they like; Mac and cheese,a simple burger, chicken nuggets I truly want to have more family there but the lack of kids’ menus is a concern for me Other than that, this resort is top notch in all aspects

Stayed here in July 2022 What an incredible resort for this price! The property is beautiful and the enormous pool is one of many highlights The spa service was incredible

The fact that they even have room service (given how the rooms are spread out over multiple acres) is impressive The employees were generally helpful & friendly The only improvements I would suggest are (1) better quality food at the pool, and (2) faster front desk experience / more employees PS For travelers, be prepared to walk a lot because the property is spread out

This hotel was absolutely beautiful The grounds and facilities were all impeccable and clean Our “basic” garden view room was so much bigger than expected and we even had a partial ocean view

The staff was extremely friendly and always wanted to make sure everything was up to standardWe were so impressed that we were able to get into our room at 7 AM due to a red eye flightFood was priced as expected for a resort (even cheaper than some I have experienced before) We really enjoyed Nori hibachi and regular tables For lunch we ate at the food truck or ordered pizza to go and ate by the pool Both great! We had one extended wait at the sports bar for a burger but the staff was so apologetic, gave free fries and bottled water We were on vacation and had no where to be No problem for us!Overall we felt this resort was a piece of paradise and we can’t wait to come back!

This is a magical location I have never stayed anywhere like it Be prepared for bugs

Those are to be expected in this kind of environment We did not have a problem with mosquitoes and there was bug spray provided My only complaint is with the bed The bed in our tree house was very uncomfortable and upon further inspection was a convertible bed of some sort (like a sleeper sofa) We would definitely visit again, but we would need a more comfortable bed to stay again

Dennis Feltwell

This is an excellent getaway spot for those truly looking to “get away” Lots of privacy here at the top of a large hill Fair warning: lots of climbs to your treehouse and car

and bathrooms!Spectacular views, an infinity pool, and a covered pavilion span the total amenities here It rains a lot but the Vistas are totally worth the hikesRooms come with stove, toaster oven, adlnd fridge Fresh fruit provided, too No WiFi but cell service is great overall, a wonderful experience!

We stayed at La Cascada treehouse for two nights recently and first off on a positive note the views from the treehouse are spectacular, the river is beautiful for morning swims and the cabins take great advantage of these amazing views but unfortunately the service and communication was terribleThe main thing we were very disappointed in was the inability to access the restaurant, we are both plant based and the idea of plant based meals sourced from the rainforest was a major draw to us When we booked originally we asked for dinner reservations to be told the restaurant was closed on the days we were there, when we arrived we were told it was actually open and another couple were dining there, we contacted Ernest and were told we needed to have booked in advance which we tried to do and for us to make contact with the chef ourselves which again we tried to do, we texted the contact number in the room and got no reply and Ernest certainly was of not assistance so in the end we cooked our own food in the room

We had paid 600+ dollars for 2 nights so felt very let down My advice would be to come prepared for all meals, they do leave some fruit and yoghurt in the room but it’s not really adequate for breakfastIn summary we would definitely visit El Yunque again it’s an incredible place but we would stay somewhere else

This hotel, at the top of an extremely steep hill in the El Yunque Forest was well built and attractive, the rooms well designed But the description is totally inaccurate We planned to relax for a few days exploring the “largest flower farm n the Carribean” advertised, and walking beautiful trails

There was NO flower farm at all, only some old irrigation pipes in the woods that hinted at the possibility that one existed in the past There was a single trail into the forest, taking all of an hour if we walked slowly The beautiful waterfalls of El Yunque are actually on the other side of the forest, a day trip awayIn addition, service was minimal and often grudging The owner clearly was interested in our money more than hospitality We paid an extra 20/night in addition to the $160 for a room for an extra person but found the mattress of the fold-out couch impossibly cheap and uncomfortable In addition, after dinner the owner left for his own house in town and the guests were entirely alone, with no service or security other than four dogs The dogs were nice enough, but barked loudly every half hour throughout the night at other animals in the forest Other guests called him in the middle of the night to complain Hot water was sketchy and breakfast cheap with a non-working toaster both mornings The owner just kept putting it back outWhen we left after two nights, we paid $90 for a taxi to the airport, but the driver refused to come up the hill To his credit the owner gave us and our luggage a drive down to meet the taxi, dinner was good and cheap at $13, and he makes a great cocktail which was welcome considering the circumstances

This is a nature lover’s paradise — nestled on top of a hill, surrounded by El Yunque National Park, with magnificent views of the coastline The sounds of frogs and an array of birds, and iguanas rustling in the bushes accompany you most of the day and night Great place to kick back and relax, explore nearby trails and appreciate wildlife

Or sit on the deck, sip on a cocktail and strike up a lovely conversation with the owner Heads-up, if the hot water doesn’t work, just let them know – they’ll flip the switch and make it run again

Chelsea Francisco

We spent a week in Puerto Rico and travel around the entire island This was my mom’s favorite place we stayed It was beautiful and very comfortable

Rafael made the best rice and beans for dinner and coffee in the morning We loved exploring on the path nearby to see all the gorgeous tropical flowers and visiting with the adorable and very friendly dogs

My husband and I stayed at the Rainforest Inn for 4 nights in the Jungle Suite and my sister and her husband and her husband occupied the Garden Suite Our stay was absolutely wonderful and as world travelers I can honestly say one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at! The Inn is breathtaking with stunning views of the Rainforest as well as all peace and tranquility it brings Both suites were immaculate and amazing! Our Jungle suite had two his and her bathtubs on the balcony overlooking the Rainforest! It was so unbelievably romantic! The Garden suite had an outdoor garden that was majestic and beautiful! We all enjoyed the most delicious and freshest breakfasts in the garden along with the amazing coffee! This place is a hidden paradise amidst the the El Yunque Rainforest! We enjoyed the beautiful infinity pool on the gorgeous grounds along with a tasty grazing board! The owners Bill and Renee are wonderful and take such pride to make your experience memorable! Thank you so very much for everything! Anna & Ali Aydin

I enjoyed my stay at this resort The staff and facilities were the best I took advantage of the on-site spa which was heavenly

The rooms were wonderful The view was great! My only issue was that it is located so far away from everything Renting a car was a must for me Thanks for making my first trip to Puerto Rico memorable!

Robert Salvage

This is a beautiful resort Appearances may be deceiving Touted as a five star resort, the star rating is flawed

If you expect daily room cleaning, you will be disappointed If your flight arrives late and you are hungry, there is no late food service Learn how to set up your pool lounge and umbrella unless you can find a pool boy I realize this is Covid-19 times, but I paid full price and am entitled to full serviceWelcome food platter and welcome letter were addressed to the wrong guest How long was it sitting there? Guest services told me if it smelled good, it’s Okay to eatIf you want to travel outside of the resort, rent a car at the airport or be prepared to wait 25 minutes for Taxi from San Juan as Taxis are not allowed to wait on premises If you bring children, make sure to bring their favorite snacks!!!Food at the resort is incredibly expensive for mediocre qualityOur rate included upgrade upon availability Not available Guest census accidentally stapled into the New York Times actually stated otherwise Resort was 70% occupied I am just posting my review and won’t return I am not asking for amends There are better options

Anya Andreeva-Quirk

We had a fantastic time at the St Regis The property was enormous and perfectly landscaped, complete with walking trails to explore the nature preserve

We enjoyed the beach and beach games, the bike rentals, the beautiful grounds and the impeccable service (including an upgrade to celebrate our engagement) I would advise anyone considering a stay at this location to carefully read the information provided by the hotel to avoid any surprises For example and as noted in other reviews, this resort is in a comparatively remote location with somewhat limited food options — but that is to be expected for a luxury getaway We were able to rent a car nearby to explore El Yunque and other beaches and restaurants
