Birthday staycation ruined!!!I only come here for the jacuzzi tub But after sleeping in and being accosted at the door in my underwear I quickly got dressed and vacated the room

Upon checking out I was questioned if any smoking took place in the room, which I didn’t But that let me know how he intend to steal my deposit Sorry for being Black and liking the best you have to offer

César Moya

The bathroom was dirty and had no soap and a cockroach flew at us in the room but employees were kind and helpful, also everything worked and the beds were comfy enoughWasn’t the best experience but I understand they might be understaffed like every other business in Texas

The resort is absolutely beautiful and very family friendly Staff members were very friendly and attentive I’m not giving the full 5 stars because the cleanliness was not what I’d expect from a 5 star resort

Our hotel room had pubic hairs, scalp hairs, dust, and urine around the base of the toilet and splotches of water and likely some sort of soap in the shower It had clearly not been well-cleaned, if at all In addition, the very back pool was quite dirty I can deal with leaves and some debris at an outdoor pool, but this had a lot of built-up leaves and debris in the deep end of the pool, like DAYS worth Staff were actively cleaning the lazy river, but no attention was given to the rear pool near the sand feature I’m not speaking of sand (there was that too, but that’s expected when there’s sand nearby), this debris was dark in color and very built-up It could have easily been scooped up and would have been much more appealing

This is a top notch place for a family getaway that we’ve enjoyed a number of timesLots to do with a fantastic water park, game rooms, excellent fitness center, daily planned activities for the young ones, and lots and lots of grounds to explore The staff is super friendly and attentive as well

It could definitely use more dining choices so be prepared to order in or make a quick local jaunt when the hotel is full This spring break week they were doing in-room dining for an only $5 flat service charge which was unexpected but awesome! We will be back again and again

Jazmin Juarez

This was one of the best hotel resorts I’ve visited in the states so far The staff were completely friendly and hard working Made me feel at home and the water park is fun for the whole family

Love the restaurants and variety and the rooms were beautiful and roomy The conference area was great and spacious and beautifully decorated I definitely recommend this place for business or a pleasure travel

What do you do,, say I was awoken by an unruly child and I don’t know who it was? Breakfast was great, especially the attendant Loved her!

This Hotel had nice rooms If you care about the bed I will tell you very comfy and a good nights sleepThe room was clean and fresh

They have a pretty good breakfast They did have a laundry facility on site and that was helpful The location was ok My 4 starts comes from just not very friendly employees, from the front desk to the cleaning crew just really not nice people The Front desk check in was mostly unattended Overall may not stay again

Krisol sanchez

I’m really surprised about all the good reviews since our experience was so differentThe room had a bad smell so did the restroom There was a dog next door who barked at everything

When we asked the front desk to be moved they said they didn’t have any roomsThe bed was very comfy and the breakfast was pretty good They also have on-site laundry available Unfortunately, overall it was not a very good experience I chose this hotel because of the high-ish rating for the price but it was not worth it

Lynn Macias

I always get worried that 5 star ratings are done by bots or people paid to leave reviews However, this was a great hotel It smelled nice, was very clean, and I didn’t even hear the highway traffic near by

We only stayed one night because we took a short trip up to San Antonio from Corpus, but I’d definitely stay again Friendly staff, clean room, everything was organized Bathroom was clean, AC was working well and controlled by a thermostat on the wallMy only complaint was the beds weren’t very comfortable I woke up a few times with a sore back and when I woke up this morning, my back ached My mother had the same complaint about her bed Wasn’t a big deal or worth knocking off a star, though Pillows were comfortable and the comforter kept us warmBreakfast was good, though the chorizo was fairly bland I’d recommend at least offering cheese if you have breakfast tacos Waffles you make yourself, a small selection of cereal, oranges and apples, bagels, bread and other items were good No complaints reallyCheckout was seamless We enjoyed our stay and only for $85 with tax!

Check in took a while because there was three other guests at the same time and only one receptionist He was super nice and professional The hotel was just okay

The room smelled kinda funny even though it had been cleaned The furniture was wornout and the bed was good enough The breakfast was just okay and the breakfast lady was nice and friendly They have a security guard car in the parking lot I’m guessing because of break-ins other reviewers mentioned For the price I expected a bit more, but I didn’t necessarily hate it I probably won’t be staying here again though

Mayra Yco

Stayed a night with familiesRooms were clean with no funky smells like other hotels Lobby and breakfast areas were clean as well

Nice water pressure in the shower They had Dove toiletries as wellEnjoyed the free hot breakfast to start our morning off without anyone being ‘hangry’ 😍Staff was helpful and friendly Thanks Matt (evening guy) for helping with the AC and getting our hot coco fix 😀

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend Checked in Friday and after finding evidence of bed bugs (on the mattress and having a series of bed bug bites on my arms and shoulders) on Saturday we checked out that night The hotel clerk told me a manager would call me by Monday about the experience

I never heard from a manager on Monday so I called the hotel on Tuesday I was told that the manager wasn’t in and I left another message to have a manager call me I was assured a manager would reach out Wednesday and was told if I didn’t hear from the manager to give a call back I called the office Wednesday and was informed that the manager had already left for the dayYou would think when it’s a matter of bed bugs that I would have received a call from the manager the next day, but that was not the caseI was finally able to speak with the manager today, Thursday Unfortunately she just made excuses (saying that she never got a message to contact me, though that is a reflection on her if her team didn’t give her the messages) and was not apologetic of the experience eitherI am more than frustrated by this hotel and their lack of empathy for their guests I will not recommend Holiday Inn to anyone and will never give Holiday Inn my money again

We loved this hotel!! The staff was very friendly, especially George He went out of his way to let us know we could check in at our earliest convenience (rather than the normal check-in time) Our room was clean and comfortable and we both slept wonderfully

Breakfast was what I would normally expect of a complimentary breakfast We loved it here and will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Darolyn Dann

Overnight desk clerk was VERY UNHELPFUL and acted like he really hates his job Our reservation through Hotelscom had issues and a single bed was booked instead of a double

Tried to appeal to hotel right after room was reserved, and the clerk (Yogi?) refused to assist with moving rooms, told us to book directly next timewhen he was telling us no is the only time you could hear satisfaction in his voiceWe went to the car to try & make calls & find alternatives to our reservation My husband needed to use the restroom, so he stepped back in the hotel to use the lobby bathrooms He asked where they were, the clerk directed him to them However the bathrooms were locked When my husband asked him to unlock the restrooms, the clerk looked him in the face and asked if he had a reservation and was staying with the hotelPetulant clerk, horrible customer serviceAt no time did the clerk attempt to assist in anyway, even seeing a family with kids Nothing offered as far as roll away beds, extra blankets for a floor pallet, nothingThis is someone that should not be in hospitalityIt was our first time using this hotel to visit family that moved recently to the area We are making sure all our friends, coworkers and family in the area know to avoid this hotelTry La Quinta next door instead!

Ernie Heyek

Nice hotel, but not a Plus It is a normal Best Western We stayed at a Best Western Plus in Pecos Texas which was awesome!! We thought all Plus’s were the same, apparently not

Pool wreaked of chlorine, which is not sanitary, so bad my eyes burned walking by it Overall it is a good place to stay Beds were comfortable, shower stream was strong and the breakfast was good

My husband and I stayed at in Sophie’s Gasthaus this weekend in the Hayloft suite We truly did not want to leave!!! The entire property is just breathtaking and so incredibly relaxing The main house is decorated so beautifully with such classy decor

Every detail is is tended to, including the light switches Even though we did not stay in the main house, we enjoyed the continental breakfast and coffee there one morning and met some great people in the living areaThe suite is over the carriage house and has a full kitchen, bathroom, living, bedroom and dining area, and its own fireplace The walls and ceiling are painted a deep dark color which is why I think it was so relaxing, just minimal stimulation!!The bed I’m very particular about beds and pillows when I stay places in this one was probably one of the best! Multiple options for pillows so if you want it soft or more firm, they’ve got you covered The bed itself was very comfortable and the down duvet was so incredibly cozy on the very cold nights that we stayed!! It was heavenly!!!The kitchen had all that we would need and we made breakfast our second morning there There’s a large dining space on the front patio that is private to the Hayloft, it was too cold for us on our stay, but look forward to it next timeThe bathtub was a huge soaking tub, and the bathroom was just as aesthetically pleasing as everything else I’m so glad they even thought about a soft closing lid for the toiletThe grounds were very well manicured and can’t wait to use the pool and hot tub one of warms up Downstairs in the carriage house is a huge game room that my kids are going to love so much when we bring them along in the future It’s open for all guests, not unique to the HayloftI had no clue that New Braunfels had such a special downtown, lots of great restaurants and close to so many things We visited Gruene one afternoon, which was only about a seven minute drive away We had lunch at Cooper’s barbecue and it was incredible Not a big pork chop person, but their pork chop was probably the best I’ve ever had and it was so incredibly tender and juicy We saved it for our breakfast tacos the next day! Kelly, Sophie’s Gasthaus estate manager, recommended McAdoo’s for our special celebratory dinner It did not disappoint either!!Can’t wait for our next visit to Sophie’s – considering getting a group of friends together to book the entire place!!

THIS is one of The worst Hotels I ve stayed in , in recent months!! The plumbing is aweful!and it has some toxic smells coming from the sink in one room I stayed in I stayed multiple days for work!!Its old and decrepit the floors are uneven! My car was vandalized while staying there!!! THEY ABSOLUTELY ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES NOR DO THEY PROVIDE ANY SECURITY!! THE STAFF HAS very unprofessional demeanor, at least one front desk clerk This is a very horrible hotel , plus the lobby always smell of smoke

The towels are very very dingy and very poor quality

Nicole Payne

Strongly suggest to stay clear of this hotel From a time consuming check-in to horrible customer service with “Roland” as well as overcharged three times the price I locked in at I was never told about incidentals, so that was an additional charge too

Just a horrible experience at this location I kept getting bank notifications tell 3 am about charges from them My anxiety was out the window dealing with this location

My parents always enjoy their stay at this Worldmark The rooms / condos are spacious and well thought-out The pool is small but nice that it has a lift for those with mobility issues

The location is fantastic: close to downtown, but still on the outskirts enough to watch deer grazing at dusk and dawn, and a quick drive to our home in Canyon Lake!

John Place

Have stayed in the New Braunfels Resort several times The location is excellent Literally only about 3 minutes from Gruene Hall, the Gristmill Restaurant and the surrounding town

Lots to see and do there Only about 10 minutes to the Schlitterbahn, and you can catch float trips on the river walking distance from the resort About 45 minutes to San Antonio and an hour to Austin Like I said, great location

The hotel is clean and spacious The staff is courteous and friendly The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is they typically offer free continental breakfast

It was not free The charge was $875 but the menu looked good Only coffee was offered for free anytime Also the restaurant had a very limited menu and was pricey so I opted to eat out Otherwise a great place to stay!

Emma

Great location to where we were in New Braunfels The room was a little dark and nothing fancy, but I did not mind because everything was clean! And yes, I did check the sheets! We had a ladies weekend and all of us stayed here No complaints from any of us

I would return if the occasion arose Breakfast was fresh and served hot, along side a great selection of breads and other breakfast items

Friendly and personable staff Booked room for a week, my daughters and i stayed The room was nice and clean and loved that I had a small kitchen so not to have to eat out all the time

One big disappointment was the pool being closed With it being spring break I picked this hotel specifically because of the pool and other amenities Over all it was a good experience

Matthew Parish (Mattrix)

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this “Hotel” mostly due to the parent companie’s reservation “service” Granted, my day was already on par to be one of the worst traveling for business days of my lifeDue to multiple events in town, it seemed to be near impossible to book ANY room, be it a 1 Star dive/crime scene(motel,) or what was supposed to be a 4-5 Star “Hotel

” I spent every moment from 4PM when my event was over for the day, until 11PM when I called the Hilton “Customer Service” number, trying to get into any room I could lay my head down for a few precious hours, until 8AM when I had to start the second/last day of one of the most important events financially that I’ve had so far this yearSo, I drove past one of Hilton’s Hotels, and decided to call the lobby, knowing that particular Hotel usually starts around the $250-300 range(on weekdays when they aren’t busy) So, I was prepared to hear that I was going to have to pay $3-400 minimum to stay there Well, no such luck They didn’t have any rooms and the person on the other end of the line(Hilton apparently outsources their phone rooms to somewhere in the Middle East,) proceeds to tell me that they have a room that is only 10 miles away I agree and book the room for just over $300, after agreeing that it is past time for their cancellation policy and that if I cancel, the room would still be charged to my card I asked him several times if I could hold the room with my card, but pay in cash when I arrived He insisted that would not be a problemWell, the room ended up being 45 minutes away, and when I got there, of course I couldn’t pay in cash I didn’t have $300+ on a card, and being 11PM, I couldn’t go to the drugstore and put the money on one The lady was very rude, and threatened to call the police on me when I asked to speak to the manager Unbelievable! Worst experience with a Hotel chain that I thought would never treat their members like thatI ended up staying at a Motel(not Hotel,) by the freeway that was sure to be frequented by the police on a nightly basis, for $100 Never again Hilton

Chorizo Assassin

Had multiple issues with hotel first anytime I tried to talk to someone at the front desk I had to chase someone down or wait 10 minutes for someone to come help me Also had problems trying to extend my stay at the hotel The general manager had assured me he would take care of it and call me if any issues arise

He never contacted me back after several attempts to figure out why they couldn’t extend it Just seems like customer service is not one of there main priorities and it shows in certain situations like that Definitely not gonna stay here ever again

) This put us in quite a bind for the weekend as this left us out about $1000 dollars The staff was SO amazing at handling and so quick at working to get it resolved The bookingcom charge was returned to us within 24 hours, and they completely comped our stay for the weekend due to the inconvenience We’ve had some issues with getting back the original deposit we payed to book it, and Jane (one of the staff members) and Darryl (the owner) have been incredible about trying to get that worked out It’s been 2 weeks and they are still working with me to ensure that we get that money back They have even gone above and beyond and offered to mail a paper check if they can’t get it figured out with the bankNow for the property itself:The property is beautiful! The views of the river are stunning and it is the cutest little boutique style Inn Every single staff member all the way down to housekeeping was so friendly It’s a short (1 min) drive into town or about a 10 minute walk There is also river access right on the property which is great if you aren’t looking to deal with hassle of actually floating My husband and I will definitely be returning!

Couldn’t have asked for a more quaint, comfortable, charming and convenient place to stay to celebrate our anniversary Jane, the inn keeper, made us feel so welcome and comfortable Awesome location – about a 7-10 minute walk into the heart of Gruene

My favorite aspects of the inn are that it has direct river access and each room has a balcony/deck that overlooks the river Highly recommend, thank you for a wonderful stay!

Service and place is brilliant, rooms are cute and very nice too Why the room got 2 stars is because of the hall way lightsWhen laying in bed the glass panel above the door is glass and the hall way is lit up

The amount of light that came in the room was like the light in the room was on I slept with a towel over my head to try and block the lightCould find a light switch in the hall way either, other than that it’s great

Best place Safest I’ve been to in San Antonio Clean

Worth the money Quiet Great full breakfast It’s my go to every time I visit San Antonio here forward Don’t let the area discourage you I was leery at first but don’t regret my stay I’ve registered for rooms in way better areas and the hotels were shady and crime infested This place was worth every penny

Honest review:Completed my stay this weekend 4 issues that were concerningUnfortunately the smell of smoke resonates through the whole hotel that is smoke free

Seems to be seamed into the walls and carpetA/C unit is very loud, turns on and off throughout the night Not the best for sleepBreakfast was absolutely horrendous, we had to buy food next door Eggs were from the powder, biscuits were hardI would’ve left a higher review but for lack of professionalism from staff Had dinner delivered without a forkI had kindly asked the the front desk for a plastic fork around 5pm I was told , sorry no we close at 9AM Nothing I can doI left it alone, since I’m not that kind of guest, but we ended up going next door again to get a forkI do understand if I was asking for breakfast but I just really wanted a fork to finish my meal There was roughly 9 guests in the entire hotel, the silverware probably within 15 feet of reception area I would’ve appreciated an effort to attempt to please a guestSometimes it’s the small things that ruin an experienceUnfortunately I will never stay at a best western again do to this experience

The staff was nice, friendly; from the point of us checking in things went down hill1 Hallways smelled like smoke, my mother n law room shower was not working, the refrigerator was not working as well, my room up stairs every time you use the bathroom I have to take the top off the toilet and mess with the floater so the bowl would fill up

This Courtyard is TOP NOTCH! One of the best we’ve stayed in, so close and convenient to so many wonderful attractions Clean, welcoming and a wonderful cafe and coffee shop that gets it right Everyone that worked there was amazing and Brandy really stood out with her kind demeanor, stress free multitasking abilities, wonderful customer service and overall nice vibes

Every evening, she had a line almost out the door or people checking in, requests and questions from visitors She handled them kindly and set great expectations We’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve never felt more welcome or valued as a guest here The customer service blew us away! Highly recommend

Got the 1 bedroom suite Kitchen had a stove, oven, microwave and full fridge The room, and entire resort was super clean

Beds were super soft, lots of pillows Very nice, enjoyed everythingMy only gripe is the staff could be a little more knowledgeable I found out from another guest that resort guest could enter the park an hour early, no staff ever mentioned this to me This is a huge deal when considering that the best rides can have over a 2 hour wait Our last day we got in the park 30 minutes early and we’re able to get in line for master blaster before the park actually opened We ended up riding all 4 of the extreme slides in the first hour and a half This knowledge would’ve made our first couple days much betterThere was also much confusion with the tram system They told me the resort tram ran every 15 minutes but it’s more like every 40 minutes I have this same complaint about the park itself, the employees only seem to know their job and their job only

Paid for this trip a couple months in advance to spend with my family We rented a condo that was 2 bedroom, 15 baths that slept up to 8 people

It also included a full kitchen and washer/dryer We were very excited to get there but immediately disappointed upon entering the room This condo looked like a wreck There was a hole in the half bath door, patches of holes that had been covered up on the walls but not painted Furniture was very old, scratched up, and dirty The dressers upstairs had missing knobs that were broken off The half bath toilet was clogged and we couldn’t use it and the upstairs sink was clogged so it was disgusting after we brushed our teeth The dishware and “pots/pans” that were available were useless and cheap The fridge had dents covering the outside and the inside shelves on the door were broken or severely bent to where it wouldn’t hold any condiments The fridge was set to cold and froze our juice and milk but the knob was missing so we couldn’t adjust it We had 2 vehicles that we were able to park in front of our room on the first night but when we left to go get ice, someone parked there and we had to park on the other side near other condos The issue with that was the vehicles parked in front of our room did not have resort guest tags but when we called the office, no one was available to answer the phone and assist They office is only available from 9-5pm We purchased season passes and the ONLY advantage to being at the resort was walking over to the park We didn’t have early access before general admission We had access after hours but only to 2 pools that were 3-4 feet each at the swim up bars but the bar was not open, there were no attendants, and no music Save your money, stay at a nice hotel and just drive to the park daily I would not stay at this “resort” ever again So not worth the money we paid for this condo

We stayed for our little man’s 9th birthday recently, and we had a great time! The only change we did not like was the one hr early entrance, and the one hr later park play has not been put back in place since new ownership I know they’re working a lot though in the park, and appreciate all the hands that are helping keep this beautiful park open! Service is always great!! Highly recommend season pass 😎
