Samantha Ayres

My husband and I stayed at The Allison Inn & Spa for our honeymoon and had the most lovely experience The grounds are absolutely breathtaking The rooms are lovely and spacious

The service across the entire resort is wonderful! Their restaurant Jory is delicious, with a great menu and an impressive wine list Right in the heart of Willamette Valley, this is a great place for those looking to explore the wine country The spa was also wonderful, would highly recommend doing a massage in their Zen Den Garden We cannot recommend this property enough!

Karl Hansen

Beautiful property inside & out that’s well maintained in every way Lots of warm woods, fine textiles, and soft art make the interior spaces—including guest rooms—delicious through and through There are graveled walking trails for those that like a crunchy stroll

Had a fine burger for dinner one night Disappointing that so many soggy fries went along with that Fries aside, this is a glorious place that is welcoming and comfortable at every turn Very enjoyable stay

Trevor Alexander

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our anniversary Everything was extraordinary The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, food was good, service was great, grounds were beautiful, live music was good, plenty of good wine, and right in the heart of wine country

Can’t recommend this place enough and we will return for anniversaries to come!

Great location The front desk people were really helpful answering questions on how to get around town to places we were visiting The young valet guy was really nice, outgoing, and helpful even though we didn’t use the valet

He gave us tips on best and safest places to park overnight Did not know there was a roof top patio with music, that was a nice bonus Had a burger and a drink in the Tavern restaurant around 9pm and it was good! The bartender was nice, very professional and hustling around his bar His bar back didn’t seem very helpful but she also seemed really new (at least I hope she was) Even got a cocktail to go to take to my roomThe room looked clean but I saw one incident that was concerning We were waiting for the elevator and a person from housekeeping had a large rolling bin of bright white freshly folded towels and had a dirty door stop sitting on top of a clean towel in her bin, yuck😖 We were in a hurry to go to an event so I didn’t talk to anyone but it was all I could think about when we got back late to the room to take showers Everything felt clean up until that point

Beth Machek

If I could I would give 10/5 starsHonestly from the moment we got here we left like we could be at home The staff were great, the breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast and everything was clean

We did call to check about a play pen and we’re told it was first come first serve which ended up being fine as the hotel we stayed at the night before didn’t have any so we had to get our ownThis hotel is kid and dog friendly and I will be telling anyone going to Portland to check them outGreat roof top patio and pool as wellWater and coffee available in the lobby and a to go breakfast brown bag in the morningI think that’s it Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at

Todd Leadens

WE had a great experience here We opted for the executive suite and it was amazing for the price! The hotel has a nice pool designed for families, a huge workout room, food options, and even a rooftop patio We ended up sleeping in because the bed was so comfy we didn’t want to get up! The open airy feel of the room was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel room

Overall every aspect of the hotel was a pro except for the following minor items:Cost of valet parking was high, especially if you tip on top of that Still worth it though compared to parking on the street in Portlandthe microwave in the room was quite small, too small to even cook the free popcorn provided in the room properlyAnd that’s it honestly, I’m not sure how this is only a 2-star hotel With an attentive respectful staff, more amenities then we even used, and a level or quality that we didn’t experience with the three other hotels we stayed at this weekend the Hampton Inn & Suites Portland-Pearl District is definitely a place to stay

Amber Johnson

We stayed this last week and had an amazing experience The kindness and overall service received from the employees was phenomenal We felt very welcomed and accommodated

It is a beautiful hotel that is clean and well maintained It is located in a nice area with numerous parking garages surrounding the area The only complaints would be that the pool was unexpectedly closed during our stay, and the in room fridge was not working properly I’d definitely stay again!

Anna Berntsen

Beautiful rooms that feature floor to ceiling windows, a mini fridge, and glass shower doors It was very nice that they welcomed me back once they had seen that a was a returning customer It was also great to see that they checked in by text to see hiw my stay was going

The downside was that it was a little dusty and the windows with the amazing view still had the fingerprints of young children However, I don’t blame them for wanting to get as close as possible to that amazing view They did come and bring some new linens upon asking for maid service Great little spot with a fantastic view

Kellen McInerny

Note that I use hotel points to check out this placeThe hotel is really well styled The pool is fancy and kid friendly

The patio provides a cool sunken vibe where you’re safe from the street noise while you admire towering skyscrapersThe location is close to the waterfront But I recommend coming here as a romantic valentine’s day or celebrate an anniversaryAt the time the steam room was out of order But if the sauna, steam room, and pool are all open I would make an effort annually to come here as a local to have a spa retreat from my regular Portland work week

I arrived for a conference and the woman who checked me in was so quick, nice and professional I was able to check in early which I was not expecting Our lunch during our conference was great and the server had great customer service

The three men that helped me with valet were so friendly and quick I loved my room, it was very clean and comfortable I wish the shower had more pressure but everything else made up for it Check out was quick and easy and the manager was training two new hires with such patience As a manager in the hotel industry I was very happy with my stay and the entire staff The housekeepers I saw in the hallway were so friendly also Would highly recommend

Abby Rager

Wow, what an A+++ experience It’s rare that you walk into a hotel and feel SO genuinely welcomed by its representatives I was immediately greeted by Ava who provided an amazing customer experience at check-in — she was personable, precise, and kind

She was so savvy that she immediately tied my reservation to me based on some clothing indicators and took initiative to greet me by name before I even got to the desk! This hotel’s amenities, rooms, and location were all top-notch, but the people that work there were what really separated it from the many other Portland hotels I’ve stayed in The bartender RJ was fantastic as well Ava and team made the stay feel incredibly comfortable Just re-booked 2 nights for this week!

Rajasekhar Gundu

Tiny rooms but well maintained No water in room unless you ask for & nothing in room refrigerator food (they did mention at check-in though) and no dining option at all COVID really changed many businesses operating mechanism it seems so

Mini gym in basement, and a daily wine tasting experience at 5PM which I never managed to get a time slot in my calendar A good place to stay, but lot of scope to improve

After checking out, there was a charge in my bank account of a couple hundred dollars I called the hotel and asked why I was being charged and they said it was because there was an ironing board, iron, and pillow missing from the room They accused me of stealing the items and had footage of me and my husband checking into the hotel but conveniently “couldn’t find the footage of us checking out”

There’s no way I could fit an ironing board in my over night bag along with an iron and pillow I called the hotel manager and explained the situation and they only agreed to give me $50 back If you don’t want to get accused of stealing, I would find another hotel to stay at

Caroline Conroy

We stayed here one night on a road trip, which was really lovely! The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly It is in a great location within walking distance of many great restaurants/bars Also, it’s pet friendly and the park across the street is a great place to walk your dog

The only con is that there is no plant-based option for the arrival cookie! I hope with more and more people eating plant-based, they start to carry non-dairy cookies as this is the best part about staying at a Double Tree 😉

Sylvia Weise

No restroom access without a key, no key because I could not check in yet Front desk not very professional or friendly I know people are stressed, short staffed and cranky

COVID and all related issues are not an excuse for poor service, it seems to be the excuse for everything When this is all over people will rethink loyalty to chains Bright spot, restaurant staff were great, friendly and good service Even if the conference is held here again I would likely not stay here again

Mona

Staff is friendly however my room (room 524) had dirty stains on the window curtains, the heating/cooling system has a mind if it’s own…was either too hot or too cold, and when I went to take a shower, I noticed a dirty stain on what was suppose to be a new towel (it was quickly changed upon me telling the staff) Oh and room service is upon request The hotel otherwise is nice and the food at the restaurant was good

Cameron Woolcock

Rooms are nice, beds super comfy, service desk staff are really helpful and kind Got great recommendations on places to eat (Hawthorne Asylum 5*) around the areaHonestly, the location is rough

very clear Covid was not kind to this part of Portland, with the extraordinary number of tents lining the streets a constant reminder I imagine it was very different before the pandemic as there is a sense of underlying beauty within the chaos of the surrounds

Susan Baranoff

King suite was laid out oddly The bathroom is off the main bedroom so you have to go through the bedroom if you’re sleeping on the sofa-bed (could be awkward) Our particular room has a few maintenance issues that we worked around by our choice, but I did let the desk know and they were super interested in getting things fixed

One suggestion would be for there to be a shelf or small table in room with the toilet and shower to give a place to put things down that isn’t the floorStaff was very courteous and efficient Valet parking was helpful, efficient and happy to o see us every timeBreakfast service was a pre fixe buffet with made to order omelets and wafflesGenerally what you would expect from this brand in a downtown setting

PJ 25

I wish I had good things to say about this Marriott but I don’t From the moment I arrived it was complete disorganization and lack of staff From the hour plus long wait to eat dinner due to only two servers along with the bartender serving a packed house

Receiving multiple rooms with keys that wouldn’t work Had to move to two different rooms The room shower drain was plugged This place could use a better GM and more staff Won’t ever go back to this particular Marriott The food is the only good thing about this place but maybe I’m saying that becasue of how hungry I was from waiting so long Two thumbs down

Mary Bootsie Ragan

We had such a good time on our first stay, that we decided to book the same tiny Bamboo house, for a second timeSadly, it was in a bit of disrepair- missing light fixture, absent kitchen ware, etc As directed, I had requested sheets for the pull-out couch; no sheets were waiting for us on arrival

Maybe we will try a different house, next time

Bridget Van Well

Almost a week after checkout my boyfriend and I keep saying how much we miss tiny digs! We stayed for a short weekend and had the best time in our tiny home There were some issues with my reservation but Leanne was so helpful in getting everything sorted Just be weary in winter times there is a shortage of hot water and only a space heater

This didn’t affect us much as we still greatly enjoyed our stay Can’t wait to come back during our next time in Portland

Tiff Freccero

My sister and I stopped here for a night on our roadtrip up north, and absolutely loved it! Clean, comfortable and very functional for a small space I loved the bathroom! We chose the tiny home that was dog friendly, and it was a great match A ton of restaurants in walking distance

We loved the german one right around the corner! I would highly recommend a stay here again

Service was awesome Location perfect The rooms themselves, we booked 2, were good but could have been a little cleaner

Corners of rooms were dusty so maybe a little more attention to detail The biggest issue was the lack of hot water for showering It was warm but never got to being “hot” We only stayed one night so it wasn’t a huge deal, got the job done Overall it was a go9d experience

Jodie Hebbard

This is now one of my favourite hotel chains and I can’t wait to visit more of them It’s such a chill vibe, but while maintaining excellent service The staff were so helpful and friendly and of course they are SUPER dog friendly which was amazing

We’ve traveled a lot with our dogs and have never come across a place like this that is so welcoming to the dogs Extra nice touches are the robes and free water bottles The food and drinks at the restaurant were really good as well And the location can’t be beat Right on the river and near all the shops and sights downtown and walking distance to the Saturday market Can’t wait to come back!

Christini Inbetweeni

Wonderful stay! Everyone at the front desk was so, so nice (including, of course, the famous Kennedy mentioned in so many reviews) and generous We loved the location and walked all over the city, which was much needed after eating all the wonderful food available Rooms were clean, towels were brought up within just a couple minutes after I realized we needed a couple more, and the hotel was surprisingly quiet with noise from other rooms

I think one night we heard noise from the room next to or below us, but they had to have been exceptionally loud!Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again! The hotel is lovely but the people here are what really make this such a great place to stay

Booked a 2 bedroom suite for 2 nights Very much enjoyed the rooms and the responsiveness when I called the front desk for bedding The king bed was nice, but definitely not as comfortable as many hotel beds I’ve stayed in (too firm)

Hot tub was great being inside Biggest complaint is lack of Continental breakfast The hotel gave us two $7 coupons for the restaurant breakfast which still ended up being almost $40 for two modest meals Almost everything seemed cooked well but shockingly bland Like zero flavor The french toast was just plain bad Overall, would definitely stay again but I’d avoid the restaurant

Hyperjackaboy 3583

I loved my stay here! The rooms were very clean and comfortable Most rooms have a small balcony that looks right out onto the river There are walking trails next to the river and even a dock to walk on

The staff is amazing The lady that helped me upgraded my room to one with a jet tub for my husband and I The restaurant has very good food When you check in they give you a voucher for 7 dollars towards breakfast Overall it was a great stay and we will be back!

Eric Olmsted

Rooms are nice The view was very pretty Shower mechanism was falling apart

Woke up at 5:00 to find out that coffee maker in the room was broken Staff did not arrive until after 8:00 At 8:30 they brought us a box breakfast that had items that did not go together and was cold Like just came out of the refrigerator One EV charging station with no sign ASI someone in a plug-in hybrid parked there all night so we were unable to charge Disappointing experience Looked good on paper

Had a really nice stay at the Dundee in the Queen Hospitality Suite! The suite was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and very clean Hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and tasting rooms The staff is very kind and welcoming, and Jenna the manager is super helpful

The hotel is also very pet friendly, which is a huge plus! We got their VIP (Very Important Pup) Package, which included a private igloo wine tasting at Dobbes, a Red Hills Market gift card, and fun treats for our pup in the suite We had a truly wonderful time thanks to the Dundee Hotel

We stayed at the Dundee Hotel just before Christmas for 2 days It was very quite during those days Since the hotel was not too busy, they gave us an upgrade from a Queen to a King (thank you!)

The room was very clean and nicely decorated It is correct that they don’t have staff at the front all the time, but they can be easily reached by picking up the front desk phone We didn’t experience any issues with reaching a staff to check in or check out There were no construction noise either Overall, super pleasant stay and we will go back again

Chehalem B&B exceeded all expectations Liz handled every detail to perfection Highly recommend taking advantage of their service to book a wine tasting day

We had a lovely day visiting 3 boutique wineries! Kristin’s breakfasts are creative and accommodating to allergies…i wish I could cook like that! My husband even got to pet Stumpy! The bed was so comfortable and the view from our room was amazing Thank you Chehalem for a wonderful get away in wine country!

Laura Ladner

This bed and breakfast is absolutely incredible and I honestly can say that enough If I could give it more than five stars for ‘bonus points’ I would The views are spectacular, the amenities are top notch, very clean, hospitality from the Innkeeper’s was world class, and breakfast in the mornings was absolutely incredible

They really go out of their way at Chehalem Ridge B&B to make sure your stay is incredible They also provided us with great recommendations to the local wineries I honestly can’t think there is a better place to stay in the Willamette Valley Thanks, Kristin & Liz!

Andrew Grissom

Wow, Chehalem Ridge was amazing! We had spectacular views, very comfortable rooms and common areas, and super attentive hosts We went on a wine tasting trip with friends and had a blast Liz and Kristen were very friendly, accommodating to all our dietary restrictions, and helpful with finding things to do around Newburg

The breakfast on both days was delicious We were just a 10-minute drive from downtown Newburg and there were many wine tasting options within a 30-minute drive We can’t wait to go back I highly recommend this to anyone who would like a fun wine country getaway

I have travelled from abroad to stay in Portland and landed upon the Portland International Guesthouse on Google search And, man, have I come to the right placeGroggy, I arrived late on Sunday but Tim made it very clear and easy to check in when I got to their guesthouse, a welcome relief

To top it off, both Tim and Stephen went out of their way to answer my many questions (many of them dumb questions!) and accommodate my needs, practically bending over backwards to make my stay as pleasant as possible, even recommending favourite food haunts It felt like I was staying with close friendsThe guesthouse is listed as 3-star but with all that Tim and Stephen have done, 5-star is really more appropriate It’s lovely and understanding folks like Stephen and Tim that make me want to stay in PortlandThank you both!

Very nice hotel This was our second stay Room had everything we needed for a night

Great restaurant downstairs Check in and check out was quick and easy Valet was expensive but easier and safer than parking elsewhere Clean, stylish facilities Convenient location within walking distance to several fun places Wish we would have had a room with a view of the river like last time, but it wasn’t a big deal

Had another great stay and decided to leave a review about my fantastic river view roomPros:Great staff, clean and updated rooms, nice on-site dining options, great location, Great M lounge breakfast The fitness center is large, well-lit, and has well maintained equipment

The valet service is promptCons:The rooms are updated but small by todays standardsThe M lounge is sad and empty in the evening, with just a cash barAny hotel with a lounge, should have at least beer and wine for a couple of hoursThe manager said they are working on the M lounge situation so I look forward to that during my next stay

The best hostel!!!!! I stayed here for a week (in a private queen room) and couldn’t fault it at all Super modern, clean and awesome The rooftop bar was a huge plus, although not open every night so be aware of that

Great location to get to downtown on the bus or walk to some cool restaurants Staff were lovely Seriously can’t stop thinking about how cool the place was, wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels before and this genuinely was the nicest Don’t miss it!

Great idea, has potential, lacking in executionI stayed in one of the 4 bed female dorms for 2 nights I was very excited about a new hostel in Portland

I’ve stayed in many a European hostel so am familiar with the structure and price bracket The facility is clean and modern and the attached cafe and rooftop bar are nice amenities Unfortunately I was too exhausted the first night to check out the rooftop bar, and on the second night it was mostly blocked off for a private event that appeared to also block the computer room area, which I was planning to use I wish that guests were priority in the use of space, especially considering that the price for 2 nights came to $103 total for a dorm room which is higher than most hostelsThe layout of the shared dorms is great in theory – enter into a common area with a small locker for luggage storage and 2 toilets/2 showers shared by 3 – 4 bed dorm rooms which are accessed through this room I would think the intention behind this is to keep non-sleeping activities out of the quiet spaces for sleeping However, the lockers are too small so luggage ends up in the room anyway The photos on the website failed to show single window dorm rooms, which have a more claustrophobic feel The bunks don’t seem to be bolted to the wall, which allows them to shake a fair bit when getting in or outThe most disappointing part of the layout is that despite what seems like careful planning of intentional quiet spaces, the doors are all THE loudest self closing doors in a space with no sound absorption so you constantly hear the slam of doors at any hour someone comes in or uses the bathroom I understand rugs would be hard to keep clean, but some kind of sound absorption paired with soft-close doors would be a huge upgrade to this spaceOverall, the hostel served it’s purpose of offering a reasonably affordable and clean place to stay in a great location And all the staff I encountered seem great

Perfect place to launch a college reunion trip Lolo Pass was ideal for our group and we used a ton of the first-class accommodations We enjoyed the rooftop views, the coffee at the cafe and even participated in a local wine tasting event held in the lobby

The staff was friendly and helpful…Steering us to a great meal within close walking distanceRoom was clean and quiet Highly recommend
