Room was visually nice, but improvements needed on housekeeping Clothing from previous occupant left in the closet Side table was dusty

Maintenance was needed in the bathroom in room 517 Door to bathroom did not latch Shower door appeared to either move a little during a shower or was not sealed well This resulted in a lot of water on the floorWalls were thin We could hear someone talking or yelling They were like 3 rooms down with their door closed

Leah Green

The building has a gas smell The smell is very strong when entering the building When I entered the room it smells like urine

The smell is coming from air conditioner There is no hot water for the shower The Kerig coffee maker in room just disgusting looks like it’s hasn’t been clean since it was placed in the room When contacted front desk she did not suggest anything to accommodate these short falls I’m not sure the bathroom was cleaned well There is little to no tissue on the roll upon arrivalThis is the worst Hilton I ever stayed at

Chef Cinu Chandrann

Rooms are goodAll inclusive Breakfast was funny Just cereals and fruits, not even eggs

They charge you another 10$ for an omletteBetter add that 10$ in the room rate and give a decent breakfastFront Staff is not that friendly i felt

This is a wonderful hotel For the price you pay, you get a good location, clean rooms and it’s just what you need Features a 24/7 fitness center, a pool (pretty small so expect it to be big), and a little cafe (don’t plan on eating there, it’s not much from what i’ve seen

Maybe for a quick bite) Anyway, I’d stay here over the Hyatt Place next door, as we have stayed there before and it isn’t as clean Would recommend

Rashmika R

Not impressed with this Marriott in the area No change of linen or room service when asked, apparently they provide a full room service once every 7 days! So if you have a short stay forget about getting room service or change of towels The front desk is rude and does not entertain any calls, all they are taught to say is it’s their policy

I’d rather stay elsewhere, don’t stay at this hotel!

Due to a miscommunication, a hearing accessible room was booked instead of an ADA room which was needed Reeta was kind and understanding as she worked to find us an appropriate room She managed to fix everything so our room and stay was perfect

The ADA room we got was very large and very comfortable The roll in shower was wonderful Hotel is very clean and whenever we asked for anything, we got it right away The location is great as it is very near to the relatives we were visiting Staff was friendly and courteous Definitely would stay here again

Our stays at this hotel have been great and very accommodating! Rooms always clean to our expectations and the housekeeping staff has always been kind and very accommodating to every single request! Rohit ( the hotel clerk at the front desk) is wonderful! He was accommodating to every single need my family and I had and his customer service skills are beyond exceptional! He remembers my family by name whenever we see him, his conversations and suggestions have been so helpful and sincere, and he always has a welcoming and compassionate personality that lights up a room! It’s the staff that makes a hotel good and he does an absolutely great job!

DandV Greggs

Roach in our room Bathroom door latch was broken & wouldn’t stay closed Requested new room but was told none were available and maybe maintenance could come in the morning

I was fine with that However, went back to the room to find a cockroach crawling around Absolutely unacceptable Checked out within an hour of being there Horrible experience

Disclaimer- my son reserved the room and checked me in due to time constraints I had a double king size room with a full kitchen The room and bathroom appeared clean

Here are the things I didn’t like- the bathroom had individual bottles of soap, etc I was hoping it had the shower units that had shampoo, etc like other hotels I’ve stayed at The kitchen had nothing in it, it was completely bare The refrigerator was an apartment size but adequate The kitchen had a four chair square table Housekeeping staff were friendly but did not empty trash cans when the towels were refreshed On to the breakfast- it was okay It had scrambled eggs, sausage links or paper thin bacon, potato cubes that had an odd taste, a waffle machine, cereal, biscuits and gravy, bagels, different juices, and coffee I had breakfast at the hotel once during my stay Side note- there is a Starbucks next door (didn’t go there) There were many times I passed the front desk and there was no one there The ground floor area by the elevator had a funny smell, I couldn’t place what it was There was one elevator and the Housekeeping staff used it to move around the building which is no biggie except when I was waiting for the elevator and a housekeeper came out of the elevator not looking to see if anyone was waiting in her path We almost collided Overall my stay wasn’t bad

Susan Taylor

Very clean, BJ is very nice, front desk service is great! Best breakfast ever, lots of choices, real food! They have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles you make yourself, cereal, yogurt, bagels the list is endless amazing! The pool and hot tub are clean and work well! The only if you thing was the room with the jetted tub, the jets could have worked a little better! Not enough pressure I guess

Gemini Love

11/13/2021: At first I loved the room! Until I woke up the next morning to find a dead roach on the floor next to the bed my 7 year old son was sleeping on The hot tub was great but the pool was waaaaay to cold!!!! I thought I was going to catch hypothermia!!!!! I didn’t get up early enough for breakfast but who could eat after seeing a dead roach in your room anyways!!!! The hotel prices are to high to be charging people to stay with roaches!!!!! I would have stayed here again if they didn’t have roaches!!!! Hotel staff did confirm with me that they knew they had them when I checked out They informed me the hotel gets sprayed once a month and that I didn’t have to stay there that next time I could stay in a different hotel if I wasn’t satisfied

Pretty rude to say to a paying customer!!!! I booked this hotel on the Priceline app From now on I will be staying at BEACHFRONT PALMS HOTEL in Galveston when I visit Houston!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here during Hurricane Harvey Our one night stay was very nice Everything was clean and presentable

The owner (I believe) was very nice and more than generous He offered us to stay another night a discounted price if needed He allowed each person that came down to eat as much food as they wanted/needed, he even gave food to take with you These acts of kindness is what the world needs more of (My review is long over due but well deserved)

To start with the good

the room was clean The breakfast was ok, meaning it was ok, not great but could at least eat I paid for a premium room which should have given me faster internet and complimentary snacks daily This did not happen I had to request daily snack refill which did not happen until I complained then only happened after I complained agian which was still during my 6 day stay, yes 6 days So beware, if you book premium you will only get substandard room service

Sofia Flores

If you will be staying in the room next to the laundry beware every time someone is doing laundry the room will shake I literally freaked out since I was in the room alone with my 2 children had to called the front desk to ask if an earthquake was reported or what was going on It would have been nice to be warned about it or even better asked if we didn’t mind If I could add a video to this review I would

Room was spacious, mostly clean and very comfy I was only going to stay two days and was able to extend my trip and the hotel worked with me for the extra timeThe hotel has a beautiful pool room that didn’t cover the whole hotel with the smell of chlorine and it didn’t burn your eyes when you walked in the room

The exercise room was nice and very cleanThey had a whole kitchen set up for the breakfast bar, I was just too lazy to get up early enough to eatI was not really happy with the bathroom as there were empty toilet paper rolls under the counter, the tub still had hair in it from last tenant and was very slipperyThe cleaning lady never came in my room the whole time I was there and I had to all get if I could give her my trash bag so I could get it out of my room, she was not polite and didn’t even offer a new trash bagOther than that one cleaning lady the stuff was more than friendly, quick to answer questions and seemed like they really wanted to make my stay a great one If I come back to that area then I will be staying there again

danGeR ShaRp

We didn’t have a single issue while staying here! We thought it was a great room for 2 night’s while we were there No bugs, clean room, comfy bed, clean and working bathroom, great continental breakfast! We were very pleased with our stay! We were only in the area because we had a memorial service to attend so we probably won’t get back to this location but if we did we would definitely stay here again! I can’t say the service was great because we didn’t need anything but I’m sure they would be prompt and helpful if needed! As far as the location we would have loved to stay more near the beach but it was an hour drive so the location wasn’t optimal for beach goers Still not a single complaint though!

Skylar Spring

This will be my first and last time staying at the la Quinta Upon arrival their was no front desk attendants at the front desk but, once I called the hotel phone number I let them know I was in the front waiting to be assisted When my cousins and I reached our room it looked like it was cleaned alas it was not it was pretty gross if you ask me

There was hair in the shower, wet towels, crumbs in the bed, and the toilet was dirty We only came to this hotel since it was convenient and relatively still new

Great Hotel! The staff (Eugenia especially) is AWESOME!! My husband and I came in from out of town on April 29, 22 for our niece wedding We called the hotel and asked for early check in, they were short on housekeepers, but was able to grant our request Eugenia at the front desk is Amazing! She is professional, caring, understanding, patient, kind, and she remembers your name

She make the guess feels at home We enjoyed our stay and yes, we will be back!

We stayed here for 2 nights this month for my bday getaway and had no complaints The front desk staff was very helpful and sweet Breakfast was provided and was good for a more simple menu

Our room had a king bed and was clean when we arrived I just wish I knew where they purchase the pillows from because they are so comfy 2nd time we stayed at a Drury Hotel and would recommend to anyone

This hotel was amazing The breakfast was good every morning, the lunch/dinner was always on point, and they gave you free drinks to go along with it The manager was super friendly, all the employees that we ran into during our stay where also very friendly, the facilities were in great shape, really no negatives to review about on our trip

They are also super close to a gas station and pappasito’s restaurant if you need to get out and get something you can walk to them

Rooms are large and spacious Having a full sized fridge, dishwasher, and half stove is wonderful Pillows and bed were marvelous

Only two issues: they seemed to have run out of towels on our second day during the stay, and there was a small bug on the counter in our room when we checked in Would have been 5 stars if not for those two issues

Marlena Omotayo

Room smelled like smoke and mildew I told the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, “we don’t have any more rooms Let me go to the room to check it out” he came back down and told me he sprayed the room

(It really didn’t help much) I found mold on the curtain above the a/c The bed headboard had greasy smudges maybe from someone head and hands in multiple places Same thing on the closet doors Mold in the shower I booked for 3 nights and no one came to clean my room Went down to the front desk to ask why, they told me on weekends they don’t clean rooms and if they do you have to ask and it will be a light dusting No one told me this on my first day and even so, that’s terrible service to not clean at least once No one answered the phone when i called to ask for towels I had to pick them up from downstairs and no one apologized I truly wish I would’ve stayed in a different hotel because I felt nasty being there Only thing that gave me relief was the breakfast

I stayed here this past weekend and I have to say everything was just lovely I was staying with my daughter, her husband and baby so we reserved a 2 room suite, the hotel offered to let us use a pack and play free of charge while there so that my grandson could sleep The pack and play was new, like it had never been used which was wonderful

The staff was so welcoming and nice, the breakfast was delicious! I really enjoyed the quiches for breakfast! First time staying at a Residence Inn but it will not be my last! Thank you for a pleasurable stay!

Residence Inn have not changed one bit from the early 2000’s when I was traveling for work It’s 2022 a lot needs to changeHere is my list of concerns

1 The first room couch bed was broken and the room smelled like mildew, we requested a different room2 The second room smelled the same as the first one, so that tells me they don’t service each ac unit regularly and with covid still prevalent, it needs maintenanced at least every other week3 The rooms are outdated even though they added stainless steel appliances to have it appear updated4 The Marriott name when it comes to Residence Inn is being tarnished all because it appears that upper management doesn’t care about making sure the customers keep coming back to The Residence Inn5 The only reason I even stayed here is due to someone else paying for it The last time I stayed, my team had to be moved to another hotel6 I have a proposal for Marriott/Residence Innif you need assistance with rebranding I am more than willing to assistfor a fee7 Today, you need to be brought up to standards so you can stay in competition with the likes of Hilton and their brand

Matha Goram

The small team of dedicated and hardworking staff can only do so much when their hands are tiedThe age of the place can be deduced by the soiled carpets, chipped furniture and non-existent pest control servicesThe breakfast was a joke compounded by the failure to label the ingredients of the prepared food to assist those with allergy or dietary concerns

Wins the race for the worst Residence Inn experience in 35 years!

Beautiful New Hotel off the highway Very quiet and the hosts are very friendly Hotel still has a new feel and with the new design

Would be a 5 stars if their key entry to each rooms are operational Hosts has to walk you to your room every time to unlock the door But I believe it’s a short term problem that could be fix within week Nice modern showers with fridge and microwave

Henry Zhang

This new hotel is thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable I liked the large bathroom with the frameless shower and the many shelves to put stuff Large and well lit parking lot

Nice pool The breakfast was quite average though, and protein options were very lacking – just hard boiled eggs and sausage biscuit I wish there’s bacon, ham, or sausage links but maybe that’s too expensive nowadays?

CHEAP & POOR SERVICES- Room smelled terrible (body sweats) upon check-in The bedsheet is dirty with a big stained spot of sperm from the previous stay which the housekeeper didn’t even change/clean

– Pillows are flat, old, stained, and worn out- The hotel is quite new but NOT WELL MAINTENANCE Carpets are often dirty with dust/sands steps marks since most occupancy is labor contractors- Front desk agents refused to provide amenities, such as a shaving kit although there are in stock for guest supply And After 8 pm, front desk staff refused to provide shampoo or soap, simply for a reason of no access to housekeeping source?!?!- A housekeeper (Black fat lady) kept knocking guest room to demand used towels but not to provide any new ones This housekeeper acted so weird, rude, and ridiculous- Front desk station is often left unavailable with no staff but found sitting at the guest computer desk or the lobby area- Breakfast provided POORLY with LIMIT both in QUALITY & QUALITY A small tray with a few 4 slices of eggs and sausages, and only 1 pancake maker, making a line of guests waiting although the hotel is not full NO FOOD REFILL so if the first front guest in line takes 3 slices of eggs, the 3rd guest in line would face with an empty tray! AGAIN, NO FOOD REFILL although I arrived at 716 am for breakfast 7 am to 930 am is breakfast time but how many guests could get food?!!- Coffee station in the lobby was dirty, COLD coffee (never hot in pot), a few cheap bags of tea but no HOT water in the pot- $108++ per night Undervalued, cheap, and horrible servicesASHAMED IN THE BRAND CHAIN OF MARRIOTT

I enjoyed my stay The room was comfortable enough and the bed was really nice The staff was incredible

The area was very user friendly and I loved that I never had to get in my car for anything except work My only complaint is the elevator situation There was only one working elevator and I got stuck inside for a short time The staff responded promptly but I think the elevator acted up several times while I was there Otherwise, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful I will stay here again on a lower floor

Elizabeth Wise

This hotel is nice, newer, and clean That is the best I can say about this hotel We stayed here several nights on a couple of occasions

They have a shuttle sitting outside, but it has not run once since we have been here We asked about the ability to get a ride and each time we were told it is not running today, so if that is a selling point I would recommend staying somewhere elseThe staff is nearly nonexistent most of the time when I go down to the lobby Normally the front desk staff is in the back or somewhere elseIf you have status with Marriott do not expect them to offer you any benefits or upgrades They would not Honor the guaranteed late checkout for Tutanium members, and we did not receive our breakfast vouchers this time and had someone argue with me last time I asked I did not bother with breakfast this morning It was not worth itOverall would not recommend this hotel It is nice and quiet with comfortable rooms as well as a workout room and indoor pool If that is all you are looking for this place may not be too bad for you

Lisa Hetrick

The people, the location, the food, all wonderful This hotel was recommended, I’m doing the same! So many delicious restaurants within walking distance; shopping tooBut what will bring me back to this place is the customer service

From the first chat online to the final wave goodbye, my family and I felt truly welcomed here Thank you for a lovely stay, hope to be back again soon!

Though the hotel was adequate, the catalytic converter was stolen from my vehicle overnight while parked in the hotel parking lot, completely rearranging my plans for the next day The security camera pointed directly at my car turned out to not be working when the police were checking the security footage The parking lot lighting shines just as much on upper floor windows as illuminating the parking lot

I am a frequent guest at Choice Hotels on travels, but this one is now off my list

TV sound was distortedTV was sitting directly on dresser Manager was notified and said tv speakers were under tv, that’s why it sounded distorted

She said she would bring tv stand and never did We lifted the tv up on rolled up towels ( ghetto ) When we first notified her of tv she offered another room but we had already unpacked everything The room smelled musty, sofa and carpet were stained She gave us a can of Febreeze for the smell Really! We put a sheet over the sofa to sit on it When we woke up there was a huge dead roach next to desk The Manager was rude and unfriendly! We will never stay at this location again!!! The Manager said she spoke to Owner and he offered nothing!

Basic, but barelyThe good:- rooms clean- front desk polite and professional- high capacity rooms, for families- indoor pool- parking free and seems plentifulThe bad:BREAKFAST – The absolute worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel, let alone a Marriott- no eggs- no sausages- no bread (except for bagels)- no coffee cups- no forks (which aren’t needed without the food)- HORRIBLE attitude when approaching the single person kitchen staff, and asking her to refill anything

She was obviously overwhelmed and stressed, but was unable to remain professional Slammed serving dishes, while making several comments that people eat too damn much and that’s why she can’t keep up Regardless, I sat for 45+ minutes in the area watching family after family standing around waiting on food, and ending up leaving with their children disappointed and hungry All while 3+ staff members at the desk stood back doing nothing but watching Guess it’s not their job?- rooms look recently updated, but left unfinished (light fixtures missing covers, wood trim over restroom access hanging dangerously (ready to fall)- pool extremely small and room enclosed in was about 100 degrees- no towels in pool area (not restocked)- hallways not air conditioned and air stale and pungent- snack/necessity area very under stocked and expensiveSummary – If you need a fairly inexpensive place to sleep with a family, this place may fit that need If you’re counting on a great Marriott experience, breakfast or anything above average amenities, I would not recommend this placeI suggest any member of Marriott management come and sit in the dining areas during breakfast time on the weekend Just observe

Actually I’m not done, the Expedia account is under MY name She is listed under me and I booked the whole thing for her! And I’m sure there is recording of ME personally assisting with her checkin! My ID etc That’s the only reason I referenced “we”

She told me that night she was not comfortable with her stay so I told her to inquire about a early checkout and the refund process Hence the 6am inquiring Your staff said to contact our 3rd party so we did! At the end of the day Expedia wanted to issue me my refund but you all refused so don’t tell me to take it up with them?! 8+ years and I have never had this problem with them! They handle things accordingly and with professionalism unlike you all

Again, I really can’t explain why I booked 3 nights, but the system booked for 4, as I mentioned Even if it was an honest mistake by not seeing the error done by the system, until later on

if that did not impede you from booking to someone else, I don’t understand why you took advantage of that I have stayed at your hotel many times, but won’t stay anymore From your response, it seems like you don’t care about losing my business

Good value for the price It is well decorated, offers the hot breakfast that most places no longer serve, and is in walking distance to a few restaurants and a supermarket I wasn’t impressed with the overall cleanliness

My first room did not have heat And one of the beds in my second room had a huge dip in the mattress All of the staff were very nice

Worse hotel experience I stayed in March 2022 and was suppose to be 2 day stay It was not peaceful and still in shock 😲

– 1st morning staying there I went downstairs to grab breakfast I decided to eat their breakfast omelet- Unfortunately I saw a dried bug stuck in their omelet buffet tray-Informed their front desk attendant ( I believe her name was Stephanie)- Attendant was rude and informed me it was not her problem since she was not in charge of kitchen- Reluctantly she went with me to grab the kitchen staff She came and took it the tray to the kitchen- Both staff walked back to normal duties and acted like nothing happened?- In disbelief I asked the attendant what just happened and she was rude I asked for a manager to contact me once he gets in Didn’t hear from the manager- Later in AM I talked to manager Erik Corona about the problem Manager was not ready to listen to me?- Manager was upset at me and requested my reservation be canceled and he requested I leave the premises or he will call police on me-I asked: I asked call police for what crime?- I never insulted, raised my voice or anything- In a state of shock within less than 5minutes Erik proceeded to call police on me- I felt so afraid that I had to call 9-1-1 to get Police to escort me to grab my items from my hotel roomRefer to the pictures taken

I loved my room The mirror in the restroom is legit It was squeaky clean

Loved that it had a microwave and fridge, which is almost impossible in most hotels/casinos nowadays However, I did find a dead baby roach, which means they spray which is good I guess The elevators are kind of sketch, got scared a few times Ice machine on my floor was broken, so had to go to the 4th floor The breakfast was great, they have a touchless pancake maker! But, overall my stay was great and I loved my room and the cleanliness Would stay here again without a doubt!

I wanna start by saying that I was here on a Senior Trip to Texas It was my girlfriend and I as well as 2 other couples staying in separate rooms Personally our room was fine apart from the blinds that wouldn’t go up or down

One couple on the other hand had to switch their room 3 times The first due to the shower head not functioning And the second because room service refused to sweep up sand off their floor When my friends walked in they were given a whole new room card and did not have any heads-up what-so-ever They had to move all of their stuff from one room to another at 11:30 PM When we got there the man working at the front desk (a young man with dark hair I don’t know his name) never greeted us or asked if we needed help When we told him that we booked a room on the website we could hardly hear what he was saying, he also had AirPods in and I don’t believe he was giving us his full attention We all felt like he was rude Other than that, the stay was fine Just a few small inconveniences here and there I do want to point out that Dale is an exceptional worker! He was very notable to me on this trip because I called him in advance to make sure 18 year olds can book He gave me a call back and said yes, answering my question When my girlfriend and I forgot to leave the “make room up” sign in the room we came back to the hotel and asked him if we could get some more towels He said “certainly” and came back the 4 towels we asked for as well as an extra wash cloth He asked if we needed anything else and we said we are alright and told him thank you Dale is the single reason I raised my review to a 3 star instead of 2 Dale if you ever read this I appreciate all you have done for us 🙂
