Great hotel in Napa Not right downtown but close enough Rooms are nice and clean

Grounds are really nice They have an outdoor area to grab a drink and hang out Outdoor TVs, dart boards, ping pong tables and corn hole Super fun to just relax outside and play games with friendsThe bar inside is nice and they have some good drinks The front desk staff is a little under educated on how to treat guests Not very helpful with requests

Alanna Knaus

This Marriott was a good-value place to stay in Napa; great location to travel up valley to the wineries without shelling out an exorbitant amount that you would for other hotels in town that may have more frills and amenitiesThe standout though was the service we received from the front desk manager Nichole We had a bit of car trouble on our trip, and Nichole immediately sprang into action and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable while the situation was handled

The outpouring of help and sympathy we got from all the staff was wonderful and made dealing with the situation much less stressful They also were able to hold our luggage after check-out before our flight to help make the “car fiasco” easierThank you again Nichole!!!!

This hotel does not live up to the Marriott experience I was aware that there was construction going on in the entrance area, but all other amenities that you normally get as an elite member were not available at this location Cleaning and room service was okay

The spa has none of the amenities that were listed on the Marriott site They also messed up on my billing One of the ladies at the front desk was always very dismissive Everything seemed a little off However, it was nice to have a garden patio room

Beautiful courtyard and pool! Loved the poolside service, fabulous setting and location Fantastic breakfast in a gorgeous setting Totally recommend! We usually stay at Hotel Yountville and this is very comparable at a much better price with breakfast included

Note: It would be amazing if they made this an adults only location

Patty Vollmar

Beautiful grounds, rooms and staff! Our room had a view of the vines a balcony and a fireplace Breakfast daily off the courtyard, inside or outside tables, server yourself with a lot to choose from including mimosas 🙂 The courtyard has a pool, hot tub, and tons of seating around the pool, and around 3 firepits among so many beautiful flowers Staff offered bottled water, helped with luggage, plenty of parking on site (no fee)

TOO MANY great restaurants within 10-15 minute walk (unless you want to borrow one of their bikes!) I can’t wait to return

Kelly Householder

Would have given this place a 5 star but the room had a terrible smell from the fireplace We ended up having to leave the slider open 90% of the time we were there They need glass on the fireplace to stop it from smelling up the room

That being said, the place is clean, super friendly staff, great breakfast , and a wonderful pool Would go back if there was a room without a fireplace

Not what you’d think of when you see “Best Western” It’s not like a big hotel I’m thinking BW bought it out from a smaller company

Nice rooms, ours had a small balcony area Continental style breakfasts but a decent selection of items Nice little pool area and another sitting area surrounded by plants and flowers Free glasses of wine in the evenings and within walking distance to Whole Foods, a pet boutique, gas stations, lots of small local shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms

Cynthia Hoeft

Great location, good size rooms, and beautiful courtyard! Staff was friendly and helpful The courtyard was lovely with Jasmine everywhere, fountains, statues, chairs, fire pit There is a pool, hot tub and sauna

The main thing lacking is breakfast was not that great, they tried but it was comparable to a gas station quick bite I appreciated the orange juice and coffee but the food was not that great but better than nothing

Palvi

The staff were so accommodating to us, we had contacted the hotel before booking with regards to leaving our vehicle and luggage as we would be arriving early and were going on a wine tour They had no issues with this which worked out well for us The room was large and also clean

Not noisy either, we were in walking distance from Sonoma Square which had a variety of restaurants available Breakfast was included at the Inn and there was a variety of juices and hot drinks as well as cereals bagels and fruit

I just completed my third stay at El Dorado Hotel and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The rooms are impeccably clean, beautiful and comfortable The food is amazing and can’t be beat The water is the best! The staff is so nice and helpful

The location is fun You could ask for more, but why? Seems like everything you could need or want I’ll be back!

Karin Alvarado

Third time staying here The food, service, and ambiance are great I love coming to eat here even if I’m not staying at the hotel

The main reason for the three stars is the noise in the rooms The walls tend to be thin I’ve stayed at the cottages and in the rooms not facing the park and I’ve been woken up by neighboring guests, a trash truck, and this last time, loud ongoing noises from the kitchen at 4:20 am! Not a restful stay

I have visited in January, 2022 when I visited Napa, CA, and loved it! The beds were soft, the room was cozy, and it was beautiful at night! Not sure if it is still there anymore, but there were beautiful “Electronic Dandelions” or something like that It was a rather nice hotel and I honestly wish I could move to Napa! Thanks guys! ❤️

Wendy B

I have stayed here twice, once with my husband in January and again with my step Daugher in MayOn my 2nd trip they had a card in my room as well as a bottle of red wine to thank me for using them againThe trip in January we were there January 2nd and most of Napa was closed and doing renovations so I highly suggest not going to Napa that first week or 2 of the new year

May the weather was still a bit chilly but everything was open so we got to enjoy the location and all the hotel has to offerThe rooms both times were clean and nice and the location is fabulous They have breakfast that they get from a little shop that is part of the same building as the hotel and will deliver pastries to your room, or give you $10 per person towards breakfast there at Sweetie PiesThey have great coffee in the room, gorgeous views from both of our stays, friendly and fast help with luggage taken to room and one day I went in and asked the man and lady behind the counter if there was anything going on locally and they gave us FREE tickets to the Blue Note for a concert that was absolutely amazingBetween the views, the friendliness of staff, and location I cant think of a better place to stay in Napa

Rosanne Lang

Perfect location! After spending your days in the vineyards, it’s a wonderful location to walk to many fabulous restaurants in the evening Room was perfect Loved the balcony and view of the Napa River and the sounds of the Napa Wine Trains

Robes and towels were luxurious Loved the option to have Sweetie Pie’s breakfast treats delivered to your room or enjoy it in the shop next door

Boutique feel to this hotel Open lobby concept with free flow check-in Room was nicely appointed

Fifth floor corner suite with high ceilings and a nice deep soaker tub Stayed two nights earlier this week Staff were great and always happy to assistCentrally located and easy walking to so many great restaurants Easy drive up to the myriad of wineries in the area Would stay here again

Apurva Zawar

Beautiful boutique hotel located centrally in downtown area We had a wonderful two days stay with perfect downtown view facing room Overall, the hotel has very friendly staff with open lobby space, access to their farmer’s table restaurant

The big disappointment was their restaurant breakfast menu (very few options) and no hot beverages for two days as their espresso machine was not working

Dean Throop

The room was just ok Local staff were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful The real issue is Hyatt

Poor policies regarding adjustments and the property is so incredibly overpriced I should not have paid more than $200 per night for my suite, and that takes into account the market rate, location, and the number of people in town

If you’re in the Sonoma area highly recommend you pop in for a visit! Had the pleasure of a wine tasting with Maggie the general manager on a perfect WednesdayNot only was the wine phenomenal (we signed up for their wine club!) but Maggie was an incredible hostess for an elegant property that we’re looking forward to visiting again soon!

Bill Miller

A very cool hotel We got a room overlooking the square and street and it was great being able to sit on our balcony with a morning coffee and watch everyone start their day The restaurant is easily one of the best we’ve eaten in

It is not somewhere to find a burger or fast sandwich or fast and easy dinner It is somewhere for a special night out like anniversary, weekend get away or the like The menu is fixed and paired with wine and the things we didn’t think we’d like (like oysters) turned out to be fantastic!

It was charming and very hospitable from the moment we arrived Breakfast was delicious every morning Wine as well as cheese and crackers daily

The staff was very kind and caring to our needs Loved the backyard space and hung out there as well We also loved that we had a Keurig in our room They were also very helpful at scheduling our wine tours and giving recommendations for restaurants Would stay there again for sure

Nat

Super comfortable and lovely atmosphere Greeted by the host with fresh cookies that he baked that day Breakfast was wonderful – GREAT coffee (not the cheap stuff), freshly baked scones, and frittata

We stayed in the smallest room which was the ‘Winemaker’ room, but it was still one of the most spacious rooms I’ve ever stayed in, you get your own hallway, a huge washroom with every detail you can think of, and a big bedroom Mattress was noticeably comfortable Pool is lovely Next time I’m in Napa, I’m staying here! My only regret is I didn’t book more nights at candlelight inn!

Jenna Quan

The Candlelight Inn is the absolute best!!! We went around Christmas time and the Inn was decorated so nicely – it definitely put us in the festive mood! We were greeted right away by the friendly innkeeper, who showed us around the inn and gave us all the information that we needed The room was very nice and clean with all kinds of amenities! The breakfast they offered was delicious and the perfect balance of savory and sweet items, and brought to us by such friendly and kind staff! We had such a nice time here and will definitely be back, I would recommend this place to all my friends

My sister and I came to Vino Bello for a girls weekend to celebrate our first Mother’s Day Our room was disgusting There was hair all over the shower from the previous guest, what we’re assuming were food and wine stains down the walls and sticky baseboards that had clearly never been wiped down

We know that many hotels and restaurants have been hit hard by Covid so we politely asked for our room to be cleaned After being assured by management that it had been resolved, we were disappointed to find that nothing had been done other than our beds being remade Another trip to the front desk had them again reassuring us that it would be taken care of Sadly, it was never resolved This type of issue makes you really question what other cleaning measures were being looked over We left grossed out and upset with our entire experienceSeparately, do not come here if you are a parent wanting to get away You no longer have the ability to use the meritage pool amenities (unless you want to pay $60 each for a day pass if it’s available) and only have the option of using the kids pool where you’ll be lucky to get a chair, even if you are willing to sit beside screaming kids in life jackets And lastly, it would be ideal to add a private pumping or breastfeeding space Our room was not ready and were asked to pump next to the bathroom stalls

Steve Maze (RamonaSteve)

The room was great but the service horrible, beginning by being tricked into getting pressured to participant in sale presentation No hand soap in the room The list goes on

For the price, there are much better places to stayAs requested in a reply to this review, I tried to call their Owner Care team The instructions provided in the reply were in correct — they just got me to another layer in the call director — and, once I figured out what to do, I get an automated message that there was a 30+ minute wait The poor service I received when I was at the property continues As I will not stay there again, I see no reason to waste anymore of my time with them

Oh gosh this place was truly magical We stayed for two nights and wow I never wanted to leave! The grounds are absolutely stunning Our room with the pool view balcony was adorable and we loved the fireplace

I felt like we were in Tuscany The breakfast was great to have in the room, the waffle was a little dry but overall good food We were able to drop our bags and then go to a tasting before we checked in They brought our bags to our room My favorite part (sounds silly I know) was probably the heated tile in the bathroom SO amazing! Location is definitely a little far from Napa but worth the drive We will be back

Rene So

Very nice place, very relaxingThe rooms are big enough Air conditioning and heater working perfectly

And the room music system is also goodBut why 3 stars only ?Service is bad Service should be improved Nobody even helps you bring your luggage to your room They just show you where the luggage cart is locatedYou visit the front desk or reception for some inquiry and nobody is thereThe owner / top management need to put more staff We understand the condition now But this hotel is too undermanned

Came here for a vacation for me and my wife, this place has been above my expectations Rooms are great, clean and comfortable The employees I have felt with are absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful

When you are here you need to defiantly talk to Aaron C, and Daniel G Those two helped me find places for dinner for me and my wife and all the places that they have suggested were some of the best food I have eaten The two of them took time to help me with that as well as get ideas on where to take her for shopping and things to do They were both really nice had a smile and no issue helping me and giving me ideas so that I could make this the vacation my wife neededThey went above and beyond in helping us out all with a smile and being professional because of them I will most certainly be back here for another stay soon If you are here at the resort please go down and talk with them if I could rate them as well it would be 5 stars for them as well

Heather White

Check-in was rough We arrived an hour before, not a problem as there is plenty to do on property We were told our room would be ready at 4 and that we would receive a text

5:00 came and went, still no word We were forgotten and had to return to the front desk to remind them The room was nice We enjoyed the balcony Room service was out of main items all three times we called to order for different meals The grocer on property is not what we expected Sandwiches and snacks, all overpriced The brewery closed early on Sunday and was not open during the week The tasting rooms also closed at 7:00P The breakfast cafe across the street was great as was the staff Not one time when we went to retrieve our car were there valet available The grass area was nice for socializing, but everything shut down so early, very disappointing Our first trip to Napa We will choose a different venue for our next stay

Harjee Hans

My family and I had a great time at this resort There were lots of food and drink options at the resort but the best part was by far the service Aaron and Imani from the front desk and Diane at the pool helped us out immensely at check-in and throughout our stay

These three definitely made our stay 10 times better I would stay here again whether it’s with my family or a couples’ trips I cannot speak highly enough about the customer service we received

After the message we sat out at the rooftop poolThe rooftop restaurant has a cool vibe but the appetizers were not worth mentioningThe hotel is situated in the perfect location for shopping and food selection Definitely recommend this hotel !!!

We loved room 537 Not the best view, but a great one of Mayacamas- if you look past the rooftops The room was outstanding with all the details our family needed

The first interaction with the front desk was a little m e h Very robotic and precise sticking to a script I’m just waiting for the screen to populate insert your credit card This is your room -go up elevator Call if you need “No warm welcome which I love when traveling 🙂 The rest was wonderful

We stayed 4th of July weekend 2022 Have some mixed feelings but overall very nice The room was small but very nice and comfortable

It was spotless I think they came in twice a day —once to clean and then again for turndown service they always left us a treat–Nice touch That was fabulous We also loved the location and we were allowed to check in early–very helpful after a long trip The rooftop bar had good food and people watchingService terrible The front desk was poor—at one point someone walked in and they were whispering and caddy (I think they thought we didn’t notice) caddy, unprofessional They were young and inexperienced We may stay again or try something different next year but not a bad choice

Nicely located in walking distance from the Culinary Institute, various breweries, and restaurants downtown Napa You can also board the Wine Train here (although we didn’t as we were told it’s overpriced and limits access to some of the more exotic wineries) The hotel has a nice bar, restaurant, conference facilities, and outdoor pool

The workout room is fine even for a longer stay We found the staff helpful, friendly, and professional The rooms are modern and well cleaned every day

The Westin Verasa Napa is located nearby to the Oxbow Market and downtown Napa, making the location attractive for many and a much much better option than the Marriott (see my other review on reasons to avoid)The Westin offers spacious rooms, nice pool area, gym and a decent restaurant (haven’t eaten there yet — options locally are incredible)The Westin is very pricey but it’s location makes up for the difference

We’ve stayed here a number of times and it continues to deliver consistently

Kayla handled my reservation and was amazing her customer service is top notch and what I come to expect as a Lifetime Platinum/Titanium Guest of Marriott Bonvoy She was quick and helpful and extremely professional yet kind, as a loyal member I appreciate that type of service it goes a very long wayThis property is one of my favorite in Napa as far as Marriotts are concerned, the beds are extremely comfortable, the room are always clean and big and the hotel is quiet

Out side the pool and hot tub are always clean and there is often available space to hang out by the pool I always receive amazing service while down at the pool Overall the property is beautiful, I love where it is nestled but the customer service by Kayla is the reason I wrote this review Thank you, Kayla, for quickly accommodating my request!

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Napa and seeing how beautiful the rooms were in the photos There was plenty of parking right out from when we got in and throughout our stay we never had an issue finding a spot When we checked in we received a bottle of wine and two chocolates as well as a taste of their house wine, which was wonderful to experience! We got a river view side room and while it didn’t look anything like the photos online, it was still very nice

The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and it had a cute balcony to sit out on and look at the riverThey have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, which is fantastic, however if you are in your room on the waterfront side it is quite loud Additionally the insulation doesn’t seem too good between rooms either We could actually hear our neighbors talking and even snoring at night They also blasted their music very loud but it was nice of the hotel staff to ask them to turn it downThe gym was very small, basically full if you have 3 people in it So keep that in mind if you want to work out during your stayThe staff was all very nice and quick to help with anything you needed

Stephanie Shibata

For the price, the amenities could be better—difficult to get a hold of the front desk from room phones and the pillows were sub par For $600 a night I was hoping for more comforts A great location and they had lovely live jazz in the evenings

Ask for your complimentary glass of wine when staying there (we preferred red over the white)

Adam Moheban

We were charged a $250 “smoking fee” We called front desk and they told us that housekeeping “smelled smoke” We spent four nights in the hotel and were refused housekeeping during our stay

After 4 days of not taking out our trash or cleaning up, I am not surprised the room developed a smell, but to jump to the conclusion that we smoked was plain nonsense We obviously did not smoke and there was no photographic evidence of ash or cigarette butts As of this writing, the front desk refuses to overturn the charges We will have to dispute the charges with our credit cardWe booked through Costco Travel I would not recommend staying here

Upon check in my family and I were greeted by two young friendly girls One was Maria who was kind enough to get us into a room a few hours before the official check in time And thank goodness cause our kids were ready to start our vacation

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained Maria was able to put us in the cottage right next to the pool which was so worth the extra money when vacationing with young kids The young girl that drove us to town was so sweet and patient with us and our kids Excellent job whoever does the hiring and/or training We will definitely be back this summer!

A beautiful property, but when housekeeping is your best service, there are issues No bar, everything stops at 9, and perhaps they just want you to go to your room A very nice, comfortable venue, but lack of food and beverage services is a downside

Wit and Wisdom is an amazing restaurant, but it’s only open 4 hours a day Convenient walk to downtown, they need to provide a more expansive guest experience

Michael Beiter

The place looks very nice on the surface but has some issues The staff is nice which is why I gave them a second star Per the picture below, I was told that this was normal for well water but having lived in the country all my life I can tell you that their well is just not properly filtered

They comped my breakfast but honestly not being able to take a bath for the week wasn’t awesomeAlso it’s important to note that if you’re staying anywhere near the pool area (which I think most are) it’s going to be unbearably bright all night long and there are no curtains in the room The blinds keep out a little bit of the light but you really need to have something to cover up the window if you want to sleep wellBesides a breakfast restaurant being very slow those were the main issues Nice place and nice staff but the rooms need some work

No wow effect It’s an Inn, not a five star hotel, but we were surprisingly very comfortable Spent four nights there

Inside and outside were very clean Staff was especially friendly and accommodating Exercise room was sufficient to get in a good workout Laundry facilities on premises Breakfast was grab and go continental and much appreciated Room was very large About a five minute car ride to downtown Used the money saved on the room to treat ourselves to two really good shows at the Blue Note Highly recommend MANY food choices, from major chains to independents, and a Target across the street Overall positive experience and great value Glad we didn’t spend twice as much or more to be elsewhere

MeExpressing MusicExploration (Me-Me Music)

Very suitable for a quaint, low-key Nappa California work or visit Across the street from a large full range shopping center Facility and rooms have a fresh remodel

Staff are great Good amenities for not being a large facility Nice little workout room, jacuzzi, pool and serve a light breakfast Sliding hanging bathroom door and shower door 👏🏼👍🏼👌🏼

San Chin

The curtains in my room were too narrow to cover the whole window so people can see into the room at night They were about 15 foot too narrow

There is only one small mirror and it is in the bathroom We went for a wedding event, had to time share the bathroom to get dress and makeupThey call this place a PLUS, but it is worse than regular BW

We just stayed there this past weekend and you can usually count on the Fairmont Sonoma mission inn spa to be pretty consistent, high-quality, and a positive experienceThe grounds are beautiful and the hotel staff amazing However, upon my arrival, I was surprised and startled because I felt that the valet who approached my car and window was not masked and you would think that due to the sensitivity of Omicron, I thought that he would’ve at least approached my car with a mask on since I had a mask on

That was not a great start to my weekendThe arrival then at the front desk was very positive and hospitable as I was approached with a glass of champagne and the gentleman kindly accepted my request to be on a lower level so that we didn’t have to climb as many stairs in that building It’s something to consider if you have trouble climbing stairs as there is no elevator in that buildingThe room was beautiful, however I did not get a great night sleep, and paying $500 a night at a luxury hotel and for the bed to be lumpy and uncomfortable is unacceptable I let the front staff know the next morning and they kindly removed $100 so instead of $500 it was $400 for a bad night sleep I really hope they upgrade their beds We booked massages and the spa was amazing and I highly recommend the spa even if it’s for the day and you sleep somewhere else

Ryan Scully

We had a great stay The grounds are beautiful and well kept The staff, particularly at the front desk, were really helpful

There are usually tastings in the lobby in the afternoons Our room was clean and comfortable It’s a short distance from the square but there are bikes available and a courtesy car that runs in the afternoon and evenings Would stay here again

Bradley Jones

Thank you for a great weekend – we arrived on a wet Thursday afternoon greeted with a glass of bubbly and a quick check in Which after a long wet day of travel was amazingWhat I most enjoyed about the Sonoma Fairmont were its perks

Excellent Concierge wonderful evening bands, stretch classes, hiking tours, mountain bikes and wine tastings Thank youEach experience was unique and added to our Sonoma trip There is only so much wine one can drink and having access to spa, stretching classes, bikes and gym made for great refresherThe guided hike and historical tour of Jack Landon’s park – great way yo start the morning Big shout out to their hiking staffOur Concierge was also great help A big thanks in helping us fill some voids in our wine tour schedule

My husband’s company hosted an amazing trip to this beautiful resort The room/suite was immaculate and furnished with top-notch appliances, decor, and amenities Stainless steel, clean, beautiful appliances create a comfortable and beautiful kitchen

This suite also boasts a wine bar complete with sink and wine refrigerator The bedroom and bathroom are separate and beautiful as well There is a patio facing the golf course The patio has comfortable furniture and a grill Both the living room and bedroom have sliding glass doors I’ve been to many hotels and resorts, and I’m enormously impressed with this one! The mansion is also a lovely location for events The indoor and outdoor spaces are lovely Staff is kind, attentive, and accommodating

This place is absolutely the worst They are outright thieves My husband and I have a $600 gift certificate and we have been told that the new management has “changed the rules” about how gift certificates can be redeemed

Boils down to the fact that there is no way to spend this money at the resort without losing a large portion of it $ people have told us 4 different things and we still have not been able to use a legitimate gift certificate in a satisfactory manner at the resort Tried to use it at The Grill and were told we had to spend all of it at one time or we would forfeit the remaining balance Highway robbery Can’t use it for golf – which is over priced anyway Can’t use it for food unless you spend it all at once Can’t use it at the spa – unless you book an experience that costs $600This is certainly illegal, as they don’t publish any restrictions on using it, they just wait until you get here and then explain that there are only very limited ways to use legitimate fundsDon’t patronize this place, they are awful

Mitchell Tu

We arrived, tired, at 2pm and were told that our rooms would absolutely be ready by 4pm at the latest In the meantime, we were literally sleeping on the couches in the main roomCome 4pm, no call or notice was given

So we asked the front desk, which told us there would need to be a wait of 30 more minutes Only after one of our party complained and asked for a refund did they give us another room If you had a room this entire time why didn’t you give it to us to begin with???Incredibly terrible service, the front desk had no sympathy nor willingness to be creative or flexible The rooms weren’t anything special either – you’re better off in terms of amenities at any business chain hotel, especially for the costThe golf course was great, I will say Food was good in the experience I had of it Grounds are pretty but not spectacular
