Very nice big rooms and wrap around balcony Enjoyed the jacuzzi inside the room And since my dad is a premier member, we asked for supplies and worker came to our room and delivered what we asked

We also enjoyed the gym Very nice people:) the chocolates on the bed was from my dad He even put some in the kids room so that when we arrived, we would have a surprise 🙂 Thank you Angels Camp for a great stay so far 🙂

We stayed here for Yosemite Valley and it was a reasonable drive in and out of the park (1hr15m) The hotel itself is very cute and cozy, definitely gives off strong mom & pop vibes in the best ways possible It was clean and had a spacious common room with complimentary tea & coffee & muffins (breakfast)

There was also a variety of puzzles and board games available Overall, it was very welcoming and all the guests there seemed friendly too!Pro tip – the Mexican restaurant next door is absolutely amazing!

We’ve always wanted to stay at Hotel Charlotte We were lucky enough to book a room online following a cancellation on Father’s Day One of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had in the Yosemite area

From the moment we stepped through the door, Finn was an absolute amazing hostAs you would expect with a historic hotel, it’s the ambiance and charm that win you over The room and bathroom were very clean Internet works great The lobby/lounge area has complimentary tea/coffee/fruit/muffins Just a few minutes walk to the local market and park Our visit was a bit too early for the reopening of the tavern and beer garden, but they intend to open soonWe can’t wait to book our next stay! Just awesome!

Harry

Lovely boutique hotel about 1 hour drive from the north entrance of Yosemite National Park (depends on traffic of course)The room is pretty basic, but after 2 days of camping in Yosemite, it felt like 5 star ⭐️The staff are quite friendly and chatty

The hotel does not have an elevator so prepare to carry your luggage 🧳 yourself (only 2 levels so not too bad)There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel where hotel guests get done discount The food was quite good to our surprise give our prior national park experiences! The hotel offer complementary muffins for breakfast and free coffee and teas at the loungeThe shower temperature fluctuated quite a lot in our room, so that is a small downsideOverall, it’s a great place to stay if you are visiting Yosemite and don’t want to stay inside the park

Had an AMAZING stay over Labor Day weekend at the McCaffrey House B&B! The host Stephanie was exceptional She provided suggestions and made us feel right at home The view from the evergreen room was absolutely breathtaking and the bed was very comfortable

Breakfast was delicious and wish we had tried the dinner prepared by Chef Joshit smelled fabulous! Thanks again we will be back!

Wolfram Arnold

I stayed here with my 6-year-old the night before a ski day at Dodge Ridge We had the most wonderful time at McCaffrey B&B Stephanie, the owner, welcomed us warmly, and their dinner service (a new service during the pandemic) was out of this world, a 3-course restaurant-style meal! If you’re going skiing in Dodge Ridge, then the McCaffrey House is the perfect one-stop-shop location

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds complete the picture Highly recommended

Aaron Brown

We stayed 3 nights at this gorgeous little inn The host, Stephanie was great, the other host Ollie, was great too He greeted us the door with his tall wagging, happy to see new people

The common area is great with lots of little trinkets and knick knacks, local wines, cheese and crackers Ollie was there too, had to find his toy, threw that around for a while We stayed in the Evergreen room, it was great, private with good views, private patio The breakfast had the good home made feel and was acceptable for the atmosphere and location Stephanie recommended a few local restaurants which did not disappoint We’re had a couple’s massage by a few local gals best massages we have ever had We will be staying here again

Terrible terrible experience in this motel Booked two nights for a skip trip in Dec When we got there, there was no power

Well, this was not their fault but they don’t have any backup plan No generator for heater, no extra blankets They knew there was no power for a few days but didn’t inform any of the customersWe stayed in a cold room (29 degree outside) with two very thin blankets for the entire night We checked out the next morning because no power for the next few daysAfter the miserable stay, they didn’t do anything to apologize or show any sympathy, and only refund one night (and of course the first night (Wed) is much more expensive than the 2nd night (Thu))Avoid this motel for your own sake Plenty of other places know how to run the business with customers’ interest in mind

Overall the Wildwood Inn was an excellent place to stay and I would stay here again should I be in the areaThe inn is located at a great spot in Twain Hart; within walking distance of local restaurants and cafes The staff were helpful and got me checked in promptly, and were quickly able to provide me with a printed receipt that I needed for business travel

My room was a good size and was very comfortable The bed was firm and the sheets and pillows were of adequate quality The room, sheets, towels, etc all were clean and fresh, as was the shower, sink and toilet The TV was a bit small, but not enough to be a problem The Inn was quite besides a few noisy cars/motorcycles, as it is close to the roadA very affordable place to stay, and a well run establishment; if I’m in the area again I’d stay here

Selena Metal

I booked a room here to stay with my sons after a long day of skiing and when we arrived the power was out This meant no heat in the rooms, not tv, no coffee no mircrowave No internet etc

we decided not to stay because it was too cold They STILL charged me the full amount I have called several times with no return call regarding reimbursement BE AWARE horrible customer service don’t stay here

Fist time here and apparently there are NEW owners They were very warm , and welcoming That’s a pro

Apon arrival I noticed the floor had some damp spots that stayed damp throughout the stay Location is nice and away from the highway I see some say it’s noisy because of thin walls I can see that It’s so quiet noises would be amplified Luckily there was only 2-3, other guests and it was quite Room was overall not to bad IMO Two beds, two separate doors to enter UNLESS your on the top No microwave which is odd This is for the hotel NOT the actual cabins Location is far from food, stores, ect TV worked, WiFi worked, a bit shabby Bugs seemed to get in quite easily Nice big lawn for dogs Overall I give a 7

It’s an old historic building, with everything that comes with that

smaller rooms, smaller bathroom facilities Not much space for toiletry bags in the bathroom Steep stairs (but there is an elevator); I would not recommend this place for anyone with mobility issuesThat being said, the room was cozy and quiet, the air conditioning worked VERY well, and the bed was quite comfortable Front desk staff was helpful and efficient The pool was refreshing (pool towels at the front desk), but could use a few more chairs around Breakfast (included) was pretty basic, similar to many free hotel breakasts (waffle maker, cereal, bagels, boiled eggs) All-in-all, a good value and a comfortable stay

Betsabe Usher

45 StarsThe only reason why I didn’t give it a full 5 stars, is because of a few things Now, it has a beautifully remodeled lobby and the stuff are super helpful and attentive

It is pet friendly which is a huge deal when you have fur babies Right at the heart of historic downtown which is adorable and plenty to explore Now, their bathrooms are way too small and I’m not a particularly tall person but my husband is, and it was uncomfortable for me and even more so for him And then there’s the supernatural side of this hotel I found out of it’s reputation after I had booked the hotel, had I known this before hand I wouldn’t had stayed there, it’s not my jam and thankfully I didn’t see anything but there’s definitely a creepy vibe once you are in their hallways I did wondered why it was on the more affordable price with a limited time window for cancelations Might be another thing to considerSo, if you’re not bothered by any of these small (kinda) things, I’m sure you’ll love it and would want to return I probably wont🤷🏻‍♀️

Robin Aigner

We really wanted to like this historic hotel, but honestly it took three rooms to find one that wasn’t so dirty we felt like we couldn’t sleep in it The linens were stained, the mattress cover was stained, there were unvacuumed swaths of carpet, spilled-coffee stains on the wall by the bed, human hairs in the bathtub and sink Front-desk staff was very helpful and accommodating, but the cleaning services are def not being supervised by someone who cares

Would definitely eat here again The patio dining was nice and they brought us a bowl of water for our dog Salad wasn’t very impressive but the rest more than made up for it- pasta was delicious, and the main attraction was the flambeed dessert we ordered

They prepared it right there in front of us, which was a lovely bit of post-lunch entertainment!

Gary Thacker

The National Hotel is a California landmark When you stay here you’re staying in one of the 10 oldest buildings you can stay in California It is a magical place

The only way to truly experience it is through the employees, who know many anecdotes on the history of the place Have a wonderful dinner prepared by Chef Robin and finish with an extraordinary flambe dessert Then pull up to one of the coolest bars on the West Coast and have Rhonda make you an extraordinary cocktail It will knock your socks off Mary, Heather, Candy, Ashley, Cindy and a few others whose names I am forgetting provide the magic that really make this place Come visit, let them take you back to a kinder simpler time Sit on the balcony, listen to the quite It is the perfect bolt-hole when you need a moment away from the world

Michele Clemens

What a wonderful place to stay! Everyone was very nice We ate dinner there also and it was deliciousThey provided a doggie basket for our pet with dishes, towel, blanket and treats

I would recommend this to anyone who lives history or just a nice place to stay

Mixed bag: good size room, nice firm mattress, clean, smelled fine Desk chair was oddly shaped and uncomfortable Had to use a pillow to make it even usable

Biggest problem was that they shut down their office early and have no one to check in late arrivals I usually don’t check in before 11pm They called me on the road at 8pm and said they were closing their office at 9pm So I had to cut my business short and head straight there Hopefully this is a temporary situation, but either way it should be disclosed in the Wyndham app so guests can plan accordingly

Unfortunately the front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming They were very abrupt with check-in, and were obviously annoyed when I asked if we could get a second key for the room They also didn’t tell us where our room was located, so we had to find it on our own Luckily the cleaning staff were making their rounds and were very helpful and showed us where the room was located Upon unpacking in our room, we were pleased to see the room was moderately nice, and well cleaned At one point during our stay I forgot my room key in the room, and again the cleaning staff were helpful and able to let me in A+ for the cleaning staff! The room was very good for the price, with a fairly comfortable king size bed, a nice clean shower, and a good mini fridge for our snacks and drinks The linens and towels were not surprisingly pretty thin and cheap, but were all clean and more than adequate for our stayUnfortunately we had very loud neighbors who were yelling at each other late into the night Not the hotel’s fault, but it definitely dampened the enjoyment our stayOverall a great place to stay if passing through Angels Camp, and would have been 5 stars if not for the neighbors and unfriendly desk staff

Staying at this B&B was by far the best of the best and most Incredible ever experienced in my 67 years! We got there late at night, and Megan was genuine, kind, patient and sweet and got us all settled quickly 🙂 Just stepping into this beautiful mansion was immediately like stepping back in time, and the furnishings and atmosphere were simply perfect from floor to ceiling in every room The breakfasts were personalized to our requests, (Vegan and vegetarian), and the special time and effort that was exhibited by Rhonda and Megan was unparalleled, and the gourmet food, it’s presentation, and the service were at least a 20/10 for sure!!! The history of the Inn is amazing and it is quite evident that Rhonda and her husband and Megan genuinely love what they do😊 We simply cannot wait to go back because the experience was truly once in a lifetime quality from start to finish! We loved the cats and the dogs as well! And most credible ever experience

Another incredible visit!! We’ve stayed at the Inn on Knowles Hill in the past and were blown away by the amazing service, INCREDIBLE food, and beauty of the architecture, grounds, and decor This time, we were planning a family reunion and realized Knowles Hill would be the perfect place for our family to join together and connect after being apart for a few years Rhonda, Fred, and Megan expertly handled our large party of 20 (!!!) and absolutely went above and beyond to ensure that we had another unforgettable stay

My husband and I slept in the downstairs Wallace Beery room (gorgeous!) and enjoyed three incredible breakfasts and one off-the-charts gourmet dinner I can’t recommend this beautiful place enough–you seriously HAVE to go and experience it for yourself!!
