The hotel, or rather a resort, is beautifully situated on the river itself The historic building and the beautiful old-style decor give you a feeling of unprecedented comfort Professional and courteous service, willing to help at any time

In the morning, delicious breakfast and snacks, and of course fresh coffee available for guests I can recommend this hotel to anyone with full responsibility It’s worth it

Nicholas Michelsen

Majority of the room was nice The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a great feature Staff were also very friendly and the overall hotel was clean

The only issues we had with our room was that the cleanliness of the bathroom could of been better along with the outside balconyAlso, some requested room add ons were missing from when we arrived Although did not get charged, was still disappointed as it lessen our experience not receiving what asked when bookingOverall, had a good experience but expected a little more Will try again in future as only stayed one night and did not get to experience the spa and restaurant

Andrew Pach

A truly wonderful experience from the time Josh welcomed us until the “bonus” dessert of a chocolate dipped strawberry for everyone in our party We enjoyed the specialty cocktails like the French martini and the raspberry beret The atwater salad was a perfect start, just the right size and a blend of flavors to start things off

The entrees were very good and the service was excellent

This is by far the best quality inn motels I have ever stayed in! I have been to two other quality inn motels and they were horrible! This hotel has clean rooms, clean bathrooms and the beds were comfortable! The ONLY small complaint I have is the water pressure but other than that the temperature was phenomenal! When I went to check out I fixed myself a decaf coffee but they were out and they made me a fresh pot, beyond happy with my stay I definitely recommend this hotel! I don’t know if they have a laundry room or not but I do know they don’t have an elevator which is not a big deal since there are only two floors I will be staying here again! The mini fridge and microwave they have are also updated and big Love love love this place!

Quite disappointingGreat location but the condition of the hotel needs to be addressedHousekeeping has been cut in the names of “covid” but it’s needed more regularly

Our washroom was filthy, smelled bad, bathtub chipped and bad odorThe pull-out sofa /bed had no linens available – after 4 requests, it was brought over No body addressed the awful bathroom condition at allBreakfast on weekdays is not as nice as weekends and if you are vegetarian, you shouldn’t expect much

Rob Zelinka

I have stayed here numerous times over the years as it’s close to family and easy access to the airport Understanding that COVID put financial pressure on these hospitality businesses but this hotel is in bad shapeThe carpet is very worn

There’s a bad odor as you walk in the side door and go up to the 2nd floorMany broken things in the room A broken toilet paper holder, broken shower tiles just to name a few The staff is friendly but they’re very overwhelmed It took me nearly an hour to get a set of bedding for the sofa bed and had to make multiple trips down to the desk as the poor woman who was working tried to keep up with checking people in, answering phones, etcThe area around the hotel is very depressed A defunct mall nearby, horrible roadways and dozens of closed businesses are a reflection of how bad it is in what once was a very nice areaWe will be staying at a different hotel for our future trips

Zain AlHamed

If I could give it negative stars I would This hotel is terrible! One of the night shift employees st the front desk, Dulce, was so rude to me for no reason at all! I was asking for some clean towels and garbage bags and she spoke to me in a very rude and condescening way stating thatits against the policy to give me new towels after asking for my room number too She said I have to bring the dirty towels first to her even though ive been staying at the hotel for 2 weeks and none of the other staff has ever claimed it was against the policy! She was acting like I wasn’t staying at the hotel and was trying to steal her towels or something

She was very rude and unprofessional, ready to escalate a situation that should not be a problem The other staff is always so nice but this employee made me lower my rating even more I was placed in one room but after a week there, the neighboring suites shower broke and my room was flooded so I had to move to a different suite which was very annoying at the least and inconvenient too I was already upset because there’s white spiders in both rooms and every day I have to get rid of at least 5 spiders I asked to have them spray some insecticide or something to get rid of the spiders but whatever they are doing is not enough since they keep coming back There are cobwebs in every corner and I asked them to fix the kitchen sink but no one came in since it’s still not working properly I would never recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again

Beautiful, clean hotel Plenty of parking Staff were nice, and efficient

My room was clean and had plenty of nice extras, like soap, shampoo, conditioner in the shower, soap and lotion next to the bathroom sink, a keurig with coffee and tea, etc Would have liked some hot chocolate since I don’t drink coffee, but that’s just a suggestion Bed was comfy My only complaint (which isn’t the hotels fault) is that people let their kids run up and down the halls and be loud It would be nice if the check-in staff could mention to parents to please make their kids be respectful of other people Other than that, my stay was perfect, and I would definitely stay here again!

Shelly P

Our first time here Friendly front desk staff Our room was amazingly clean! Pool was titanic cold but we asked the front desk to turn on the heaters and they did

Hot tub was amazing! They did charge a $50 fee which stinks I did notice MOLD on the heater/air conditioner Morning breakfast was not too bad But over all we would definitely come back!

Eric Seil

My recent stay here was excellent- I enjoyed the courteous service I received This hotel is definitely a place to stay if you’re visiting ElginThe front-desk staff was friendly and very understanding

They were helpful, and made me feel like I was a good customer They’re customer-service friendlyOverall, I enjoyed my weeklong stay here while relocating for work This place is a definite to stay at for sure

Really nice Hotel, the rooms very clean and comfortable Nice patio on the side and with a bar included inside the lobby Break fast is a plus delicious mini Quiche

The only reason I don’t give a 5 star is that the break fast is the same for all days Some variety will be the cherry on top of the cake Definitely will come back and will recommend this hotel Price was reasonable

Ryan Eborn

This hotel is terrible Several weeks ago I booked and prepaid a room with a king bed, which had a higher rate than a double queen room I’m very tall and a queen bed does not work for me

On arrival, I find that my reservation was meaningless and they’ve placed me in a double queen room due to their overbooking I explained to the front desk agent that this wasn’t my fault and showed her my reservation She got the night manager who was incredibly rude and told me that I should cancel my reservation and go somewhere else For a manager she has terrible customer service – she should probably go work somewhere else She refused to do anything about the hotel’s error in giving my room away nor did she try to make any adjustment to the higher rate that I’d initially paid to guarantee a king bed To top it off, she flippantly told me that this Marriott is not a corporate owned hotel – as if that somehow justifies the poor experience?

Joyfully His

Very poor professionalism and managing of this property Prior to checking in, we had asked for the mobile key They said I couldn’t get it because I had to give a card on file, even though I already had one on file

They argued with me and said they couldn’t offer contactless check-in, but they advertise it and I’ve used in innumerable times before Turns out they CAN and they DID! So we were able to use our mobile key without stopping at the front desk Why say you can’t when you can?? Upon opening the door to our room, it was not serviced There was garbage on the floor, the beds were slept in, etc I was appalled as we’ve been using Marriotts for decades and never encountered a problem like this They apologized and gave us a new room on a new floorLater into our stay, I requested our room be serviced while we were gone since we were staying three nights, and they assured us it would be Got back that evening: no clean towels, no emptied garbage cans, or made beds Their pool was closed, but they had us use a neighboring workout facility’s indoor pool Appreciated, yes Convenient with kids, no Every single time we tried to charge to the room, we were met with indignation from a different employee insisting that it couldn’t be done, and yet in the end EVERY TIME, it was successful, AND we were overcharged on items! I wouldn’t recommend this location There are plenty of other options nearby

First thing to welcome you is caution tape and remodeling, then a blue sign stating the pool and hot tub are out of service, and that it’s posted on all websites It was not As you can see in the photos the room was not the cleanest with either blood or ketchup on the walls

Looks like there was a leak at some point in time as well as the mold in a few different places There were several other things like patched up holes in the wall or how it looked like an animal was trying to eat it’s way out of the bathroom door and so on see the pics provided You can see stained or un washed towels and stained bedding Beds were surprisingly comfortable even after all the above Worst thing is it seemed to have a restrictor or regulators on the AC cause the room would not get colder than 74 and there was a really loud fan between the room and the main sitting areaLooked to be missing furniture and the items there were a bit beaten up with good sized holes in themThe guy a that came to the front desk looked extremely tired so much so he looked higher than a kite That was after waiting about 20 minutes for anyone to even get to the front deskBreakfast was a bit of a joke but what can you truly expect I guess Overall not a very good stay by any stretch of the mind but a great location and close to where we had to be for events

Steven Spenner

After walking into the lobby I instantly saw filthy carpets Most hotels smell “clean”, not this one thoughThe pool was closed, even though their website says nothing about it

My room stunk like an ashtray The sheets had some crumbs and stray hairs on them I was considering sleeping in my vehicleWorst hotel I’ve ever stayed in You couldn’t pay me to go back Hope this review saves other people from this same experience

Jen Noonan

10/10 would not recommend anyone using this hotel for a block for a near by wedding The people at the front desk were rude and on the phone for personal reasons while checking in guests There was awful food for breakfast

They did not have appropriate staffing for that many rooms being filled If I could give negative stars that’s what I would be rating it

My name is Kristin and I own a wedding planning company So, when I say that my expectation for my wedding venue was higher than the average Bride, that is an understatementQ Center had everything I wanted in a wedding venue

Everything in one convenient location, but different spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception I am not a fan of flipping over the same room to use for two different functions, it doesn’t leave room for qualityNot only did Q Center have all of these options, but there are also hotel rooms for the guests to stay in and different rooms for the bridal party to get ready for the big day inWorking with the Q Center staff was a huge stress reliever for me Traci was our coordinator at Q Center and she absolutely knocked it out of the park for us She was so easy to communicate with, always responding to anything I needed so quickly She was efficient, organized and made me feel at ease handing everything over on the big day I am so thankful for her!The entire Q Center staff was polite, kind and enthusiastic about my wedding day and I could not appreciate that more We especially loved the security guard at the gate, Bonnie, who was an absolute delight She was the perfect personality to greet guests when they arrivedThe food was amazing! All of our guests were raving about the food from the dinner, to the salad, to the appetizers to the late night bites We got SO many compliments on the food The serving staff was so helpful and always ready to lend a hand, with a smile on their facesQ Center has so much to offer that the average wedding venue does not I have no regrets about have our wedding here I could not recommend this more highly to any potential couples who looking for a wedding venue Q Center will make all of your wedding dreams come true, with top notch service and a smile to accompany you throughout your wedding journeyThank you, Q Center, it was absolutely epic!

I stayed here for a school related review course This is a compound basically that probably used to be a college of some sort Now it’s rented by universities and corporations for events

While the room was a little small, the bed was comfortable I’ve paid more for worse There’s an on-site gym and a bar For the convenience of staying where my review was and not having to travel from another location, and dinner was included (cafeteria-like), worth the stay all day Would highly recommend

Patty Brummond

If I could add more stars I would! We held our son’s wedding here this past weekend and things could not have gone better The food and beverage staff was outstanding The facilities are clean and well maintained

Even when the weather forced a change in plans, the staff was ready to accommodate the Plan B with ease It was a memorable weekend and we are so grateful to the Q Center!

My husband and I spent a weekend at the bed and breakfast for our anniversary Everything about the stay was amazing We don’t live far from the winery and frequent it often, but we have 3 young children that we’ve never left overnight

This was the perfect “destination” The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated We stayed in the American Suite The staff was so friendly and accommodating They made us feel like we were vacationing (rather than staying 20 minutes from home!) Prior to checking in our room, we did a Founder’s Room experience Celeste made sure we got the most from our tasting, and helped us choose wine we’d truly enjoy I cannot recommend Lynfred enough We had the best weekend and anniversary thanks to Lynfred

John Lambert

Good wine and cool historic building, but no longer allow kids on premises at all or at any events Used to be a good place for families to visit, but now totally unwelcoming We have tasted at numerous wineries around the country, but that’s the first time we have ever encountered that

Really disappointing We were planning on joining the wine club but didn’t since we wouldn’t be allowed at any events or tastings

Place is dated and the room isn’t perfect We didn’t have hot water in the morning Possibly due to everyone running their showers at the same time

That’s what I was told by front desk It was my first time experiencing this in a hotel Due to the hotel being packed, they can’t move us to another roomThe bathroom has stain and the ceiling paint bubbles up and peelingThey didn’t properly stock up on towels in the pool area Had to asked for it twice each timeThe down blanket leaked feather all over We woke up with little white feather all over our clothes and the carpetBut I’ll give props to the staffs for customer service though At least they really try and did what they can to keep everyone happy and comfortable

Sean Conley

This place is in a really good location not far from the highway, and with a grocery store and a mall right around the corner So the area has a lot to offer I wouldn’t say there were any surprises in terms of the room itself

It was nicely appointed and comfortable The breakfast however was spectacular and well worth the money (it wasn’t free) and I only interacted with two staff members, but they were both very nice and extremely helpful despite how busy they were

We had a great getaway With me being so busy I wanted to show my man that I appreciate him, this location was the BEST We had a whirlpool suite that was amazing

The fireplace was perfectly next to the window that had a great winter breeze Jacuzzi was amazing and deep enough for the both of us The staff were wonderful so polite, friendly and greeted us each time we came through the door I would definitely come back Only thing was upon checking out I found a shoe and other items under the bed from previous people

Stacey Johnson

Everything about my stay was 5 star Hotel was clean, facility, smells clean, check-in was smooth, pool and hot tub were up and running Hot tub was heaven

Happy hour, good breakfast Debbie was so sweet and polite I am definitely coming back Bonus for me were the signs about quiet time and what time its enforced Ive stayed at some hotels where guests and or children of guests had 0 consideration for other guests when it came to noise This will be a monthly weekend getaway staycation for me

Melissa Cardoza

Me and my boyfriend stayed one night, we enjoyed the room perfect for a small getaway the bed was comfortable, the pool and hot tub were okay breakfast was good we were satisfied with what they offered lots to choose from, now to why the three stars so around 11:40 (check out is at 12) we decided to finally get up and start grabbing our stuff I had accidentally spilled some coffee on my shirt so I was in the middle of changing when we heard the softest knock on the door and before I could even respond a cleaning lady presumes to open our door I was livid Check out is at 12 why the hell is someone barging in at 11:40!? So I go to the front desk with my frustration and the lady giggles it off and says oh I’ll talk to them

This place isn’t cheap by any means and the lack of customer service really irritated me I was in the middle of changing when a worker seemed it was alright to not even give us a second to respond to her knock before letting herself in We’ll be taking our business elsewhere our next couples getaway

Room had older type decor, yet was very clean and well maintained Shower pressure was amazing Pleased with the soft-close toilet seats & soft-close shower doors

Used both, key card and mobile phone key, without any problems Heater kept us warm The fridge kept our drinks and food cold Our stay was short, so we were not affected by the fact that there aren’t any microwave in the rooms Due to COVID, housekeeping is not automatic, despite requesting the service, no one ever came Overall, we enjoyed our stay, would recommend to friends & family If we’re ever in this area again, we would definitely come back

Jordan Syrowik

Had everything you would expect from a moderately priced hotel Bathrooms were up to date with modern tile and shower Mattress was a little firm, and the room decor was quite dated

Per usual with hotels the air conditioning kept changing back to 72, which kept the room a little stuffyIn all, great place There is a Starbucks as well as a non-included breakfast buffet

Tushar Rao

My room 721 was used by someone else when I was away, and the whole bathroom was dirtied When I showed this to the staff I was given a simple answer “we don’t know” without any concern or apology There was a camera right outside the room door and the staff promised that they will look at the footage and have a manager call me back

Been 4 days, no call and no follow-up Avoid this property if you value your safety and belongings and absolutely avoid ROOM 721

OUR CAR WAS VANDALIZED! I was a guest at the Hyatt Regency in Lisle, Illinois June 9-12 I was in town for my stepdaughter’s wedding, down the road at the Morton Arboretum We had an adjoining room for the night of June 10 for the bride

While we were there, many things were less than desirable, but the worst occurred on my final night there On Saturday night, June 11, I parked my other daughters’ car in the Hyatt parking lot I parked it in the well lit lot, close to the building, and thought it was a very safe spot The next morning, the catalytic converter had been stolen and the front hood was damaged When I reported it to hotel staff, they said they had no liability and could not help me I was shocked at their complete disregard and lack of concern, they also did not seem a bit surprised I would have hoped for some empathy, contact information for the police, somethingI guess that I should not have been too surprised though as the whole time I was there, the staff seemed unconcerned Even though the adjoining room was vacant on June 9, (we asked because we thought about getting it early), it was not cleaned and available until 4:30 pm June 10 We told them it was for a bridal party, with an early morning wedding the next day, but that did not seem to matterWe also witnessed other guests arriving after 4 and still not having their room ready They were offered drinks at the bar, but many needed their rooms Then we witnessed damage to the number board in one elevator, causing some floors to be inaccessible The other worst thing we saw was when some guests got stuck in the other elevator and were ringing the bell for some time They got out, but then that elevator was shut down for a dayAll in all, I will never stay there again, and fear to stay at any Hyatt

At first glance this hotel looks like it will be a great stay The lobby is grand, clean and spacious However, the rooms do not match this vibe & does not look like the photos advertised

They are outdated and dirty The beds are tiny in size We stayed in a 2 double bed room, but the beds were closer in size to singles The washroom curtain had stains, and water pooled up to your ankles when taking a shower Our TV did not work & wifi also did not work for our first day of our stay We travelled with a large group and several members of our party experienced worse issues Earwigs in the bathtub, ants in the room, an electrical spark & flame from the outlet, blood like stains on sheets upon arriving in hotel There was also no daily cleaning/room service offered until the third night of your stay, which would have been nice to know prior to booking The only reason I’ve given this hotel 2 stars is because the staff is very kind and helpful But overall, if you’re expectations are a clean hotel room, I would not recommend this place

Room was great but asked for regular coffee 2 times and got decaf both times Last time we asked they never even came to the room Also we were supposed to get wedding venue rates and asked multiple times and was told fully booked but groom said they were not

Called sales dept and told the same thing I wouldn’t recommend for the price service should’ve been better

I stayed here back in September for an event in the area As soon as I walked in, guest service was kind! Very generous They gave me my key with no hassle, gave me my room number, and sent me on my way

I got up to my room and opened the door, and I heard the voice of a grown man shouting in dismay at the door opening, and I could hear the shower running I was given a room that had a grown man in it who was showering I rushed back down to the front desk and explained it to them, and they seemed confused It turns out that the room had been given to someone, but it wasn’t logged into their system that it had occurred They gave me a new room that was the same as what I had requested, and they walked me to it to make sure that no one was thereI get nervous thinking about that scenario I was all alone, I’m a young woman, I’m very small- Had it been the other way around of a man walking into my hotel room while I was showering, I’m unsure on how the situation would’ve gone Guest service was kind, but I hope that after these months, they have themselves better put together I didn’t feel safe there after that and I had left my luggage in front of the door to prevent anyone from entering the room if the door lock failed I hope others have had better experiences than I have

Check in was fine Friendly & courteous customer service Easy on & off the highway

Place is very clean! The restaurant off the front lobby was great! Nice bar to wet the whistle The food was hit/miss Another table had sandwiches and they all were stating “hit the spot”my entree not-so-much Grilled chicken was delicious but the veggies seem very “BLAH” (Againhit/miss with food)Room was clean and decentMy shower is a death trap!!! Slippery surface even before soap hit the floor (It’s in their best interest to get that changedit’s a lawsuit waiting to happen!)Shower head is too small to be hanging from the ceilingnot getting the right balance with water distribution (need larger head for the effect you’re wanting to give off) And the half glass wall allowed me to soak the bathroom as I was trying not to fall in the shower (no joke)!!!And for truck driversthis location is starting to break away from us parking here on lot That back drive into Extended Stay that loops into Holiday Inn is NOT TRUCK FRIENDLY (EXTREMELY LOW TREE BRANCHEStrust meI “know”!

For the room I purchased online I was told the price was wrong and was charged an extra 50 dollars No towels in room, no soap in room, trash cans still had trash in them No microwave Place charges for breakfast with outrages prices! Staff was nice but quality of stay is poor I don’t recommend anyone to check into this place for the price they charge was not worth it You get better perks at a roach motel!

Me and my husband stayed here a while ago and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at The door man was very friendly as well as the front staff The rooms were amazing, very clean and spacious

I have never had room service and I was one of the best experiences of my life as you can see I didn’t order anything fancy but it was still amazing

This hotel was extremely clean and comfortable The staff is polite, warm and inviting upto the cleaning staff Speaking of, they do a remarkable job of cleaning the rooms

This is coming from someone who generally travels with my own pillow, sheets, blanket and cleaning supplies I did not have to put in any additional work to make this place up to par for my visitIf you are there and looking for breakfast, try the coffee and smoothie place a few steps away (I forgot the name, my apologies) However, the ham and Swiss croissant was simply amazing! The only downside to my visit, was the bar was not open during my visit on a holiday weekend It turned out ok, because the location of the hotel gave countless other close options right on and off Route 59

The reservations manager Emily here made my stay absolutely repulsive I over slept and did not extend my stay, instead of receiving a phone call from the reception to politely ask if I was extending my stay- Emily approved of the staff barging into my room as I was naked showering I have never in my life experienced this at a hotel

When I told her my concerns she let me know that she can send someone to gathering my things for me to check out This was upon telling her that I feel uncomfortable extending my stay further since anyone can come in- unapologetically Being a woman staying alone this was a repulsive reaction from Emily I would never wish this upon anyone The hotel is nice, but unfortunately an unqualified reservation manager has trashed it

This is excellent value for money for long term rentals We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that cost least $150 a night The rooms and some of the furniture are dated but highly practical

Even though there were 2 bedrooms there wasn’t much room to work from but that’s where the spacious business center, which is next to the lobby came in very very handy The location is top notch Staff was very helpful and cheerful all the time There was a full DIY laundromat located centrally and a small marketplace selling drinks and snacks, and even some medicines and household essentials like laundry soap Strongly recommended for long term stays and fire value conscious travelersThe grab and go breakfast is something that should change to an in person breakfast And they should do more to recycle on their premises

Nice service and the room offered somewhat of a “homey” feeling We enjoyed being able to unpack our belongings in the walk-in closet, and they had a brand new hair dryer for usThe furniture could use some TLC and the adjacent bathroom was missing the shower curtain liner

The kitchen sink had a leak and the “grab-and-go” style breakfast sack was very disappointingOverall, I would come back, but if you’re looking for more luxurious accommodations this isn’t the spot for you

Hotel gave me a runaround on whether I could get the government rate I asked for it for check in, the woman told me she didn’t know how to do it and ask at check out I asked at check out and the guy there said that they could give it to me but that the gm needed to do it

He even took a copy of my ID Then at the end I was told that they couldn’t give me a government rate and that its only for one bedroom I wouldn’t have minded not getting it, but the run around was ridiculous, especially after having to wait about a half hour to check in the first dayThe rooms were okay but had a musty smell The skylight was dirty and cracked and the walls had some scratch marks One of the ceilings had a small crack it it Sometimes the customer service was good but very hit or miss The pool was nice but the lack of consistency on the rates and the fact that the second night they were double the price seems like they are just trying to get as much money as possible

We we’re pleasantly surprised by the room Nice size room, full fridge with ice maker, sink ,stove, microwave and a recliner made of real leather and even the bedding and towels were high quality The room was so clean, we thought we may have been the first occupants

We will definitely stay there again The only thing it needed was one of those tall lighted signs so you can find it easier at night

We stayed here for 14 days $160000

Because of covid garbage pickup was supposed to be every Sunday, Full service every Wednesday The last time anyone came to our room was 2 Wednesdays ago That’s 10 days I kept calling and going in person to the front desk to ask for at least garbage pickup every day for the last week Each time, I was told that it would be taken care of They even said they would notify the hotel manager I even was told that there would be a message sent to the service persons phone Never kept any of their promises Couldn’t wait to get out of that place And here is the icing on the cake I woke up this morning and found out our refrigerator wasn’t working Lost all the food we had in the freezer and fridge All that money I spent staying here and such terrible service And you would think there would be a free breakfast for what they are charging? No You have to order a breakfast sandwich and a few things to go with it before 8pm the night before, and they charge you full price for it They don’t even give you a free bottle of water Their kitchenette has a full-size coffee maker, a toaster, and an electric stove top No pots or pans to cook with No utensils like spoons, forks, or knives You will have to buy a fry pan or a cooking pot

Courtney Leach

5 STARS Very clean Exceptional staff

I had a minor surgery prior to staying and they had no problem giving me a couple extra pillows Then I lost a sentimental piece of jewelry and not only were they able to locate it after my departure, their manager called me personally and shipped it to me It’s the little things I will definitely be returning next time I am in town!
