Common areas and room furniture are nice, modern, and clean Staff are really helpful and I appreciated that they were flexible about late checkout Not all amenities were open and the hotel seemed understaffed; beds could be comfier, and the hallways could stand to be updated

The snack area in the lobby was nice, though Overall, not at all a bad place to stay!

Spencer Kuhlman

When we checked in, we were told the bistro had a complimentary breakfast in the morning Guess that was just a lie? The only options available were $9 breakfast sandwiches that did not look appetizing The hallways of this hotel smell like burnt feet

The shower in the room smelled of mold and was not ventilated at all Overall, the whole place has a musty feeling that is not welcoming The sheets were like construction paper Unlikely that we stay here ever again Beware!

Kellz W

Room was clean and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience We went downstairs for breakfast and had the absolute best time chatting with Ms/Mrs Roshella at the breakfast bar She provided exceptional customer service and made sure we had everything we needed

She definitely deserves a bonus 🤗 I really enjoyed my stay

Stay was mostly pleasant Hotel was clean, quiet, and staff was helpful Only issue was that they charged me a pet fee for my medical service dog (not legal, they’re medical equipment) and I didn’t notice until I got home because I got an email receipt and didn’t go over the charges at the time

We made sure to note that I’d have a service dog on booking the room and she was clearly labeled as a service dog

If I could give my experience for AC Hotel more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat We had walked into the AC Hotel, thinking it was our hotel we booked (it was not) Kim at the front desk left such an ASTONISHING impression on us that we left AC to book into our actual hotel, only to book out and return to AC for our one-night stay almost immediately

Kim went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and knowledge about the hotel THEN, to make an already great experience even better, Julian at the bar took it to the stars He was the only one there and still made sure we were consistently taken care of His recommendations on both food and drink were all 100 I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and I will never stay anywhere else

Shemar Chambers

My experience at the Marriott was really great I can say it’s the best hotel I’ve been in since Ive been in the United States this was a really good stay the way the carry the place sand how Lean it is anyone would want to go there it’s worth what you have to pay to get reserve one of the rooms The welcoming there is great it make you feel at home and I have to say this was my best hotel experience

The bed was really comfortable the bathroom was big and very nice didn’t really have any problems and the customer service was really great

N Garland

Did a quick one night stay at the AC Uptown Charlotte while in town for an event at the Spectrum Center This is definitely a great location if you ever going to a game, concert or other event there After walking out of the front door, I was at the Spectrum Center in less than two minutes

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was nice and accommodating The indoor pool is nice, along with the gym and bar in the hotel

They do not have a continental breakfast, but there’s at least 2 or 3 different restaurants in the same parking lot that you can get breakfast at I’d definitely stay here again! Close to downtown and the suburbs

Jess Sterling

Where to start! First off I’d like to thank the staff, especially Emma You made our short stay worth the 9 hour drive! The politeness to our children and making sure everything was taken care of for us Taking the time to check out each kid( individually, bc they had to use their own money) every time they wanted a snack 🤦🏻‍♀️ We appreciate your kindness and if we are in the area again will definitely be back to stay with you

Exceptionally clean, quick with requests, and the breakfast was delicious! The young girl at the breakfast station, I didn’t get her name, but my Starbucks white chocolate mocha was better than I’ve had at Starbucks ❤️

Matthew Greenbaum

The rooms and property are pretty nice The evening staff wasn’t particularly helpful during check-in He did not know how to link two reservations or enter a late check out, and he didn’t acknowledge Ambassador status

The day staff was more helpful, but are hamstrung by unaccomodating management Further, there is no complimentary breakfast

I also appreciated that the hotel was very clean and it is obvious they pay extra attention to the cleanliness and overall sanitation I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Charlotte

Tamara Whatley

I really enjoyed my stay From the greeting at the front desk to the beautiful hotel The room was nice and clean

We went to bar and lounge on the second floor for drinks the drink were good, the only thing is they stop serving food early in the day It would have been nice to At least be able to get some wings or something I would stay again We also had breakfast on the second floor food decent but a little pricey for breakfast

KiMya Alston

The hotel overall was great Front desk was nice during check-in and check-out Very informative when needed

We stayed during Valentine’s Day weekend and was told it was sold out but you wouldn’t have known because it was quiet all night Parking was available in garage not too far away but tight fit We ended up parking on the street since it was closer Only thing I wasn’t a fan of is that the bathroom wasn’t completely private in the room

Bad news first, since there is so much great news The location stinks, it sits between a bunch of one way roads, and has the tiniest driveway ever It makes finding it getting in and out a little challenging

However, it does have a nice restaurant on the roof, and is right next to City Center so that is a huge plusThe valet was so/so, the service was great, but unfortunately they don’t have enough parking for guest so you pay all this money to have parking with in/out priviledges and then you are told to leave your car in the valet if you want to be sure that it is safe within the hotel parking garageThe rooms were to die for, definitely exceeded my expectations for a Hyatt (I’ve been in 3 different ones over the past month) It was extremely clean, spacious, and the tech was right on par to connect with both Android & iPhone We were in a corner room and had so much natural light I would totally book here again!

Toya Ballard

It’s been a while since we stayed here It was pre pandemic but we spent many weeks at this location for several months This property has sadly gone down hill

So many issues to mention Did try and get staff to solve the issues prior to leaving this review, but they just seemed beat down and over it Room was not clean, furniture was missing Previous guests maid service had left cleaning supplies in room Smoke detector battery was faulty Cable was limited due to (according to an employee) just bad signal that sometimes may work But was working in the lobby bar area just fine Anything we needed such as towels we were told to get ourselves Only one working elevator during our two night stay which made it very difficult to get to and from your room unless you took the stairs I think what saddens me the most, is that our previous experience was so great We have been recommending this location to family and business associates when they come to Charlotte I’m so embarrassed we put our name on this properties now sad state Will no longer be returning to this location Many, many more suitable places to stay for your visit Hyatt Corporation, you should know this location is not meeting your standards

Jessica Wimer

We only stayed for one night The gentleman checking us in was very short with us and not friendly That kind of sets a negative tone right at the start since this was our first time staying here

I gave it 3 stars because, although the location was excellent, there were a few things I noticed about the cleanliness/maintenance of hotel The bathroom was not fully clean with hair being left in the shower We had issues with the door lock getting stuck Other than those few things the hotel provided us a decent stay for one night Not sure if I’d recommend since there seems to be a wide selection of better hotels within the same vicinity

We have used this hotel a couple of times for full week large group training We have had to make numerous adjustments during the weeks (aka last minute), and they have been extremely accommodating The catered food options are delicious, and the sales, front desk, and event staff are super attentive and friendly

There is a fabulous balcony next to the meeting rooms (shady but nice and breezy), and the pool deck is also very nice There are tons of places to eat, shopping, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there’s no need to rent a car for the week We have definitely been pleased

I stayed one night over St Patrick’s Day The hotel is what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn They have always been very professionally run in my experience

I enjoy having room on 7th floor as it was nice views The room was very nice It had large shower and large room The bed was very comfortableI liked the bar in the lobby They had good selection of beers including some local brews The prices were very reasonable Parking is convenient to the hotelThe staff was friendly although there was not a ton of interaction as I’ve gotten accustomed to self check in and digital key on the Hilton Honors app I really like just going directly to my room without having to interact with people or wait in any lines

**Beautiful Hotel with Access to Everything **From the lobby to the room this hotel delivered a clean, professional experience I was traveling here for business I was able to check in with access to my room within minutes upon my arrival The front desk staff was very nice understood I was in a hurry for meeting and helped me quickly

The lobby is great for business meetings One on ones are perfect with plenty of spacious seatingThe room had lots of USB plugs along with the lobby furniture Again when it comes to business it’s hotel really did a great job at marketing to the traveling business professionalLots of eating options nearby as well

Nice hotel They’ve upgraded and redesigned the rooms since we were here last Love the addition of a big couch in the rooms

One day we had fabulous service that cleaned our room The next day we had very weak service They never emptied the garbage or gave us more toilet paper and we had to call down for some at midnight We never got new plastic cups We ate in the bar one night Most of our food was great but my daughter got the ravioli and we’re pretty sure it gave her food poisoning My husband was the only other person to eat it and he got food poisoning as well Everything else on our trip was shared so we’re pretty sure it was the ravioli

Daniella Cucci

Celeste went above and beyond helping my parents and I get acclimated with the new city Being that I just moved here, she provided me with great recommendations along with advice to ensure I set myself up for success I truly do not believe other hotels have staff members who go out of their way to help Charlotte feel like my new home

It was also great to connect with a fellow New Yorker My family looks forward to staying here again for Celeste Additionally, Manny was very welcoming whenever my mom and I walked in He is a great conversationalist who also provided ample recommendations for my new city Very thankful to have met both of them and look forward to seeing them again soon

Janice Stuckey-Young

The staff was amazing and very helpful/friendly The bar was nice as well The building itself cold use some upgrades/cleaning

Sitting in the bar, the windows were so dirty that the view of the street was severely impacted Let’s clean those so we can really see the city The bed in room 1934, was by far the HARDEST bed I’ve ever slept on I wok up to bruises on my hips from trying to get comfortable with back aches I asked the staff who checked us out if we can get a discount for this issue but no response was given A good night sleep is priceless so if this is important to you, I’d look to find a hotel with better bedding

We came here for a little staycation We had a package for a resort credit and breakfast We spent our day at the spa Saturday

They were excellent This review is not for them The room was your typical hotel room The bed was awful Hard as a rock My husband even asked me at midnight if we wanted to go home The pillows were feather pillows that withered away to nothing when you laid your head on them I’m going to have to rerun to the spa after laying on that rock all night I then tried to use a gift card for portion of our stay After running the card 6 times I was told they couldn’t get it to go through Didn’t bother to call for help to find out why Come to find out my card was charged $1 every time they ran it! For the money I paid this was an awful stay I’ve stayed at hotels that cost way less and had a better experience Not the luxurious stay I was hoping for DisappointedWas also not impressed with the indoor pool and hot tub area Needs a major upgradeCould hear every noise that was made in the hallwayConstruction was the greatest view 👌👌Nothing luxury about this luxury hotel go spend your money somewhere better

Mustafa Azhar

I came here for an event and stayed one night When we arrived, and very nice porter took care of everything and took us to our room Rooms were very clean, as well as the overall hotel

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful The view was nice, and the hotel is actively working on making it even better with upgrades The price to performance is quite decent I recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere luxurious to stay!

Worst hotel experience of my life Came down here for a couples vacation planned with the normal activities: sitting by the pool, spa, room service, etc

We were excited to enjoy the full resort experience; boy were we disappointed We originally planned to stay for 3 nights but checked out a day early because the experience was so bad Even checking out required an hour long argument with the manager Let me start from the beginning The room we paid extra for with “views of the golf course” was a construction site No mention of this on the website and certainly not reflected in the nightly rate It was dirty, the bed was hard, the balcony had a colony of roaches living on it Called for pillows at 4pm and never received them We were not notified that housekeeping was by request only and even when we requested it, they never came 20% gratuity included because they know the service is terrible Room service was same quality as a Denny’s When we checked out, the bellboy never showed up after 40 minutes of waiting Only redeeming part of this trip is that the spa experience was great and the staff there were quite nice and talented Everything about staying at the hotel was a nightmare and I will not be staying at another Marriott if this is their definition of ‘luxury’

Love this hotel! From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly smiles and overall courtesy The hotel itself is in a really nice location Everything about the hotel was clean as well, which is a big factor for me while booking a place to stay

After spending a day in the summer sun, it was nice to come back to complementary beer, wine, and refreshments The rooftop bar was perfect for a nightcap before heading to bed I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I go to Charlotte!

David Guirl

The room is very nice, especially the bathroom A minibar is advertised, but there isn’t one in the room The front desk directs you to the bar or some snacks in the lobby

They only have ice machines on every other floor Coffee bar downstairs is very minimal and not very hot, with no oat or almond milk The toilet paper is scratchy In our room, one towel and the duvet were stained The streaming TV service was choppy while trying to watch a movie The location is great, except for the loud cars racing up and down the street all night Valet is $40/day but very attentive and helpful

Camille Carter

So the hotel is well appointed and service was EXTREMELY PERSONABLE The rooms were clean’ish, decorated neatly and spacious Now the bathrooms were out of line

The shower rod kept falling My tub had a very slow drain (disgusting) The shower liner/curtain seemed a little gross I also questioned the cleanliness after seeing a blond hair on the bathroom wall Shower was TINY I always felt safe There was always someone within hearing range to help you out Valet is $40 but they are fast, efficient, and you have come and go privileges

best 2 nights ever during the Elton John Concert in 2019 I am highly allergic to dogs, so I was bumped up to an Executive Suite which they sanitized The Concierge and staff were above and beyond lovely and accommodating

I was even able to offer my visiting college roommate a glass of beautiful Chardonnay from my fully stocked Bar in the separate Living Room with a separate 1/2 Bath! She was so impressed, she commented this hotel would be wonderful for accommodating her Mother, as one of her children was soon to be married Convenient location to concerts and 2 museums Fabulous gem of a quiet and safe, first rate boutique hotel

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in It’s right in the middle of Charlotte’s downtown and walking distance from highly rated restaurants and fun things to do like the science museum In the room we had the view was fantastic

You have to pay for parking but we didn’t need to drive most places because the location is so walkableEveryone we interacted with was very nice and accommodating You can tell that the staff are proud of the hotel At night they had cookies out and you can enjoy some very good free tea and coffee any timeThe rooms are amazing I stayed with my husband in the Premier Room, which has one queen bed The furniture was in good condition, very classy but not old There are charging outlets for different types of devices The TV was very nice and had a good sound system A few times I felt like I could hear my neighbors a little bit it wasn’t bad Also I love the shower It had a horizontal showerhead thing so you could get two sources at once Water pressure was greatSo yeah we loved it! Hope we can stay again some day

Chelsea

The food was GREAT however, I had to move rooms twice The first room had scratched and scrapped furniture with big chunks missing There was a noticeable hole cut in the ceiling of the shower with some weird panel situation

The walls had what looked like food and stains Just a yucky room The second room wasn’t AS BAD, but the shower is nasty with grime, rust, and parts of the rubber to keep the water in ripped up which is really a tripping hazard I will be returning to the front desk in hopes they will exchange the room and maybe the third time is a charm The beds are comfortable that’s so far the only pro I have for the room Again hopefully I will be able to exchange for a third time

Great stay for our family of 4 and the dog Staff is amazing, they addressed problems we had immediately Special thank you to Taylor and Shelby for their patience and kindness

We enjoyed the pool and the gym We had a keurig coffee machine Unfortunately we couldn’t rely on the fridge as temperature was fluctuating too much and we had to throw away our food We will be back

This past weekend, myself and three of my good friends visited this location and began our stay for a girls weekend One of the friends from the group booked our room with the Sonesta Hotel and told us that she’d chosen a “nice” hotel Although there were in fact some “nice” aspects of our stay including the staff who were extremely friendly and the lobby which was huge and comfortable, there were also some not so nice aspects of it as well

Upon entering our hotel room, we found that there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom Also, we’d purchased drinks at the gas station nearby and of course wanted to refrigerate them overnight However, we were hesitant as the mini fridge still had someone’s drink they’d purchased from McDonalds still sitting there We were quite skeptical of sleeping in the beds as we felt that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned When we notified the people at the front desk of this negligence, they were, again, super friendly and even offered to get us another room But, there were four of us who’d overpacked and it was too much of a hassle to move all of our belongings we’d just finished unpacking We had explained to the hotel staff that it was too much of an inconvenience for us to up and move somewhere else, which they were understanding of So, we just toughed in out in the current roomEven then, no one ever offered to give us a discount or at least compensate us a day for the lack of cleanliness Some other things I noticed about the building itself (specifically the outside) is that it doesn’t look as glamorous in person as it does in the pictures In fact, the building was in desperate need of a good pressure washing And, the chairs sitting outside of several of the rooms looked as though they hadn’t been sat in in ages Also, the temperature in our room remained on 65 the entire weekend we were there Yet, the the room felt like no air was circulating at all In fact, despite how potentially dangerous it can be, we actually had to prop our door open one night because it was so hot Overall the staff made the experience a comfortable one with their kindness, I wish I’d been assured that the room had been thoroughly cleaned, especially with us still being in the middle of a pandemic Also, I wish more effort was put into making the outside of the building look more welcoming

I spoke with a online representative via chat they inform me to book Friday Saturday and Sunday even though I explained to them that I will be coming in late late Friday or super early on Saturday Long story short when I got to the hotel I had to get new reservations because Friday had already passed The representative made the simple change and gave me pointers on how to avoid the issue next time

My room was clean and ready for stay, I enjoyed my stay When I checked out the gentleman was very nice and friendly and pleasant

We booked over 10 rooms here for our National Travel Basketball team This property was not only gorgeous, it is nearby lots of nice healthy food options, the entire property was extremely neat and clean We had over 12 athletes and were a smidge sad the pool wasn’t open but it is just April 2022

We loved that they honor a rest & quiet time after 9pm We would highly recommend

Hampton isn’t usually my go to Hilton brand, but this place exceeded my expectations The staff at check in were extraordinarily friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who’s name I cannot remember but started with an A She was so friendly and welcoming and made sure to give me all the info I needed for my stay

The hotel is newly built which meant everything felt clean and modern, including the lobby, pool area, and my room My room was large and had high ceilings which made it feel spacious and open The decor was basic but nice and the bathroom was clean and large as well My favorite part was the bed which was extremely comfortable and had the softest sheets, I literally slept like a baby I also enjoyed the convenience of this hotel being located just outside of Ballantyne with easy access to 485 My only complaints are that the faucet in my room was loose and kept turning the wrong direction Also, the walls are somewhat thin and I could hear my neighbors watching tv Otherwise, excellent hotel and I will definitely return

I’ve frequented hotels for over 25 years and never experienced this before

the light blocking curtains are intentionally installed in such a manner that you cannot close them As others have complained, the beds are uncomfortably firm Then, the TV service went out just before 1AM for approximately 20 minutes I doubt I’ll ever stay here again

Michael Koon

The internet is terrible Never more than 5mb download speeds, less than 1 most of the time I called front desk about it, and despite advertising high speed internet, they apparently don’t offer it

Don’t plan on getting any work done on a laptop without having a mobile hotspot Kind of wild to have such slow internet at this kind of hotel these daysAlso, check your shower, mine only stayed hot for about a minute before running cold for a few minutes, and kept repeating this cycle After working in 100 degree heat all day, the cold water was pretty shocking

Quality hotel, with a few small place to improve The entire hotel is relatively new, and you can tell with the excellent rooms Plenty of space to stretch out

Chromecast in every room is a nice touch Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great though Also, due to the angle of the hotel, inside rooms stare directly into other hotel rooms I do like the location, it’s close to restaurants, shops, and a park Unfortunately, this can make street parking difficult, and the parking policy wasn’t clear on website (it’s paid parking everyday, even if it’s not valet)

Leigh Ann Bailey

Hotel was clean, staff was courteous, and breakfast was good Great location for South End However, if you want to sleep this is not the place, muscle cars were racing outside of our window much of the night, partiers coming in at 3:00am, loud and laughing

I’m exhausted Perhaps it would be better if you requested an inside room This was a Sat night

Beautiful accommodations, what a charming place From the moment I arrived at the Inn, I knew it would be a relaxing and tranquil stay My flight was delayed, and the staff at the Inn were very accommodating and kind

Although I spent a short time there on business, I would love to return It was beyond perfect! I appreciate you all for making me feel so welcome

Elizabeth Martin

Stayed at the Morehead for a wedding this past weekend We were repeatedly told to make the place our own Service can’t be beat – Xzavier is an amazing wonderful person! He’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and jumps right in to lend a hand/help with any need and Elizabeth was friendly and helpful with both the setup and my food allergies for breakfast

Would definitely recommend and would stay here again – thanks for a great weekend!

Kathryn Reddick

My husband and I chose to have our intimate wedding (40 guests) at the Morehead Inn and it was perfect!! Our families rented all the rooms on the property for 3 days / 2 nights, and we certainly felt like we were having a little family reunion which was perfect after the pandemic 🙂 The Inn is beautiful, the staff are super nice and helpful, especially on the big day Dorrys (the wedding director) was amazing to work with You won’t regret having a wedding (or any other celebration!) at the MHI 🙂

LOVED this hotel and wish there were more Canopy chains around!!! The facility was extremely clean, well decorated, and had a very warm and inviting, cozy feel with the holiday decor/vibe I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay with my boyfriend and our dog – from the convenience of check in/out, the layout of the hotel, the luxurious feel of the hotel (decor, room set up and bath amenities), convenience and ability to travel and stay with our dog, and the DELICIOUS food and drinks at the lobby restaurant – Fine & Fettle I had cocktails at night and enjoyed a WONDERFUL breakfast the following morning

Everything was fabulous!!! Thank you Canopy/Hilton!!!

Maiya Williams

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom I enjoyed the common areas, especially the outdoor seating Tried to enjoy the restaurant but they weren’t serving the dinner menu due to lack of kitchen staff

Was able to order for lunch & a personal pizza took over an hour, & it was disgusting The guy at the bar was really sweet & comped it, plus he made great drinks Valet was slow & unprofessional It also seemed unnecessary to have mandatory valet when there was an empty parking garage right outside the hotel where they had my car parked anyway I understand hotels being pet friendly but they really need to separate the floors I heard puppies crying & dogs barking all day & night If I could guarantee being on a floor free of pets I would definitely stay again I loved the room
