Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful when we hd an issue in the room! Room was very clean and spacious! However didn’t like that we could not use the pull out couch as a couch without assistance! Just left it as a bed during our stay! Nice pool! Breakfast was nothing exciting! Main reason we chose to stay here was for the breakfast that comes in the price! Only got item was pancakes and They were serving packaged items from walmart!! They really need to improve this!

This year my visit to Wisconsin (family) I was very disappointed My son left a shirt in our room after a 3 day stay We were coming back again in 2 days to say our goodbyes and called to be on the look out for it and would pick it up on our return

When we returned, the shirt did not materialized The front desk person was very put off in trying locate the shirt We know it was left in the room Another thing, the rate changed dramatically in two days Increased $8000 I questioned the rate and was told it changes all the time But I can book that same room now for $8000 less It is not like the place was full up by any standard A Wednesday So it will be our last stay and I cannot recommend it

Just spent three days here last week & the place is awesome Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful Rooms was clean, hotel was quiet

Coffee was always available Great breakfasts Nice decor in the entry area One of the main reasons for booking with the hotel was the hot tub I used it all three nights and it was also great We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area

September Elenewski

The hotel itself is nothing special, but the staff there makes it an experience We had a bridal shower we were celebrating and the employees made sure they went the extra mile to celebrate the occasion with us Jesse the night auditor and Derrick the supervisor at the front desk were amazing

I would book here again ONLY because of how great Derrick and Jesse were! 🙂

Decent looking hotel with average rooms There was no one at the desknwhen i arrived at 730 but when i started to say hello someone came The room was nice and looked clean when i arrived and everything in the room looks like it works

Wish the breakfast started a little earlier but just a small thing again Pool is nice but pretty small The hot tub is nice and hot Most importantly there is a kwik trip right next to it

I am used to going to 2-star hotels with my family while roadtripping, and ending up in pretty disastrous hotels that appear normal from the outside This was my first time as an adult staying at a hotel without my parents and sibling, so I was mentally preparing for check-in to feel like I’m at the DMV, like it usually doesTo my surprise, the employees at check-in and check-out were SO nice and made everything so simple

The room was spotless (maybe a little dust on the coffee pot but that doesn’t matter) and the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel And even though it was booming with people that night, I could barely hear anyone in the halls and was able to sleep soundlyI’m pretty sure one of the employees was into me and it was making me feel a little uncomfortable, but I also could’ve been imagining it Great place overall

I must say this was the cleanest and nicest Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in The manager Cheryl is fabulous She goes above and beyond to make sure this hotel runs smoothly

It’s great to see a manager who is so “hands on” Cheryl kept the breakfast buffet immaculate and I saw her cleaning and vacuuming many times Natasha at the front desk was amazing, she has a very friendly personality and was extremely helpful, it was obviousshe loves her job Jan at the front desk was also very nice and helpful and takes great pride in her position Jenn in maintenance was extremely helpful Alyson at the front desk was very friendly and also very helpful to me The housekeepers were all fabulous, especially Cindy I have traveled all over the US and always stay at Holiday Inn Express, this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in The room was large and beautiful The bed was extremely comfortable Everything was so clean The breakfast was so delicious… Scrambled eggs, omelets with cheese, bacon, sausage, juices, coffee, milk, cereals and fruits are just some of the choices I highly recommend this beautiful hotel I was there a week after moving from out of state and I will truly miss being there

We came to town for a birthday celebration and I booked this room online and everything was perfect We checked in, actually stopped in long before the 3 pm check in time to ask about the charges on our account, and were explained the prices and charges with fabtastic politeness and we were told our room was ready at noon! That was great! We left to attend our family birthday party and returned later that eveningOur room was cleaned well, just a few little things that may have sent others up to the desk asking for another room, but we looked beyond the one and only issue and that was the frumpy looking bed

I could tell it was made up in a hurry or just made without the care of how this is the first impression a guest sees once they enter a room Being that we are aware of how short staffed almost everyone seems to be in any business, we simply looked past the frumpy bed ( I did check that they were clean sheets and indeed they were!)Just a small mess on the wall by the desk lamp is really the only dirty thing we sawWe slept great, very comfortable bed, very comfortable room!Shower was very nice, water had good pressure and was nice and warm the entire showers!Breakfast was alright, they didn’t have cinnamon rolls or bacon in the hot plates but all else was good eatsEven the breakfast attendant was walking around asking if folks were enjoyed everything and even bussed the tables for guests! How very thoughtful! We would stay here again!Just hopefully the beds look a little more inviting next time!

What a terrible experience Upon arrival I was not greeted rather I waited at the closest register screen About five minutes later I went towards what seemed to be a laundry room where the front desk receptionist was folding laundry

I said “am I able to check in?” She replied with “oh I didn’t see you, you must not have been in front of my camera” I got my keys and to the room I noticed the air filters haven’t been cleaned in years during a time of desperate need for sanitation We went in the pool which wasn’t terrible but definitely not the basketball hoop or the frog slide which I’d assume is at the convention center The noise coming from across the hall which I can only assume will get worse I highly recommend you avoid this hole I can only imagine what their continental breakfast had to offer

This is not a mid level hotel Its down there on the bottom for the cost The bed is hard and uncomfortable, the bathroom is small, the tub shower combo can barely fit a small adult with bathroom supplies a mix of low quality supplies

There is no fan in the bathroom Breakfast is low quality and we just ate out even the coffee and food was cold at 6:00 am Small pool no hot tub Ac did not work well This will be a pass for us from now on

C. Ernest

Good, clean rooms in the heart of downtown Steven’s Point Loved the full fridge and freezer in our room and the service here is friendly and approachable A bit interesting with the shower and ventilation

Also the tub part of the shower creaked mightily when standing in it Minor things overall but a good place to stay in Steven’s Point

I escaped from the hustle and bustle life in Madison to Amherst for 2 days and what a lovely stay I had The host was so gracious, continuously supplying the stove with logs to burn to keep the environment warm I stayed in the Garden room, which was extremely cozy

The natural light coming in through the windows was marvelous! The owner refilled the bird feeders, which attracted so many birds! It was incredible to be able to bird watch, directly from the room I stayed in The color scheme of white and green in the garden room was breathtaking! I adored all of the paintings in the house as well as all of the happy houseplants! I felt extremely welcome there The owners were so kind, wore their masks, and communicated with me very well There was access to WiFi and a tv with satellite service I had the first floor all to myself, which was nice The kitchen was spacious and stocked with everything one needs The shared bathroom was located next to the kitchen Everything was so self explanatory and simple – just the way it ought to be I received 2 delicious donuts during my stay, which were scrumptious Their library was wonderful, filled with interesting books and magazines They had so many games to play! It was fantastic The only three things I can say that would’ve enhanced my experience there were if there had been a few rugs on the cold tile floor in the bedroom (to keep my feet warmer), if the headboard hadn’t hit the wall when I adjusted in the bed, and that the shower faucet needs some work so that it’s not poking out so much because that was awkward Otherwise, I loved my stay so much that those few little things really didn’t take away from the overall positive experience I had The house seemed very happy and that made me feel very happy and welcome Also, there was a beautiful trail I walked, halfway, that was lovely I suggest going during the day time The indoor heating systems at this B&B are operated by solar panels Talk about sustainable Well done 👍

Deanna Kloster

We arrived about 6 PM and it was very cold and icy They had a fire burning in the woodstove and the house was super cozy Our bedroom was comfortable

Everything was professional and private The breakfast was delicious and hearty with items from their gardens The hostess was charming and interesting It was a great adventure staying there And changed my perspective about sustainable living I am very thankful

Stayed two nights, 7/28-7/29/2022 Made the reservation on their own website I wanted a relaxing two days in a room with a whirlpool

I’m a disabled veteran and TRULY needed a whirlpool room and was so happy to find a room near where I would be going on Saturday The website also states there is a spa Noticed in the confirmation that it was for 2023 so be careful when booking I called to correct it and there was no problem, very niceThe next morning I was called by the hotel manager stating there was a problem with the whirlpool room, it was broken, and that they “upgraded” me to a family king room I explained that I needed the whirlpool Becky, hotel manager, explained it was a very nice room and they had a jacuzzi near their pool I was not happy about this but compromised Upon arrival after a 215 mile drive, the restaurant was closed as was the pool and jacuzzi It was also explained that what they consider a “spa” is a sauna room?? Ok, great No spa The following day, I went to the pool area for the jacuzzi and it was not working Neither was the sauna When I brought this to the desk’s attention, they stated they discounted my room to $159, which is the price of a room with no jacuzzi This hotel knew IN ADVANCE the entire purpose of my booking this room and blatantly lied to me In fact, when I checked in, the girl at the desk slipped and read the notes on my booking aloud and said they overbooked it, not broken Honesty could have avoided this entire thingBy the way, they STILL CHARGED ME $400 FOR THIS! And the second sink in the room was filthy, cobwebs all over the room Proof of stay and what they charged for their awful lies is in the photo below I asked, more than once, for the manager to address this while I was there When I checked out, she was “at the farmer’s market” Thanks, Becky Thanks a lot

I’ve been staying at the Mead for years, as in for almost 25 years It’s still the best hotel in town but it’s gone downhill I had a Sunday check in and arrived around noon

Asked for an early check in so I could work in the room because there wasn’t a suitable private area anywhere else and they wouldn’t accommodate me; instead I waited 15 minutes in line when they opened up check ins at the official check in time at 3pm Hotel bar was closed for some reason Rooms are tired and in need of updating Mediocre experience

Book a room for a special get away and get exactly what you pay for? Not this hotel Staff was the biggest issue They gave us the wrong room because “third party booking didn’t check with the hotel for rooms”

Told us that this is what we can give you meanwhile it was less of a room compared to what we booked for a special weekend awayDouble charged us even when booking gave us a receipt Never tried to fix it After 3 times talking to someone they just gave us the GM’s card and said take it up with her Horrible hospitality at this location By far the worst hotel, hospitality and customer service wise, that I’ve ever stayed at Also, don’t attempt to do a third party booking here, they will not help you with issues and will get upset you didn’t book directly through the hotel Do not recommend this hotel whatsoever

Wonderful staff! Everyone is friendly and accommodating Good location for commutingThe beds are firm for my liking but the hot tub helps with the aches

I also had a neighbor who was snoring so loud I could hear 🤦‍♀️

Room cleanDesk staff helpfulLoud kids in hallway till early hours

Charged Early Check-in fee ($25; $28+ after taxes & fees) for a 1- hr early check in (100 mile/90 min trip to hotel + 20 minutes to venue; wedding & check in both at 3pm) We needed to freshen up, so essentially were without options We don’t check in early very often – but I’ve never been charged before for doing so… Especially an hour

Adam and his assistant made our stay perfect We asked for a ground floor room when we booked and, although they weren’t able to guarantee our request when we booked (understandably so), they were able to honor our request at check-in Our bed was very comfortable and our room was very clean

We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area

Autumn Koch

The receptionist wasn’t very welcoming when we arrived on Friday evening, she seemed annoyed The rooms were clean but it would have been nice if the beds were queens vs doubles The breakfast wasn’t very good with a semi-broken waffle maker, I guess we got what we paid for

The location was great though, we were on a University visit, it was a very short drive there and to other popular locations in SP

dotradovec69

On the night of 07-16-22 we went down to the pool to relax in the whirlpool and have a few cans of beer And the women at the front desk came in and said you can’t have any food or drinks in the pool room this must be the only hotel in the state of Wisconsin that enforces this I can see if we had glass bottles I would understand but we had aluminum cans this was are first time staying here and will be are last

For what there rates are you would think you could have some enjoyment but not here
