We arrived mid afternoon to find the door to our non-smoking room was ajar and the room reeked of smoke I asked for a different room and they reluctantly allowed us to change rooms The new room smelled fresher and was nice

However, it lacked soap, cups, and a coffee pot It was comfortable and roomy It provided us with what we needed which was a good night’s sleep

This is the last Red Roof I will stay at This motel is terrible The staff are not pleasant and were just barely civil

The rooms are old in need of updating and dirty! The first room we were in the freezer was completely closed off by ice and an old ice pack was stuck in it I asked for a different room because we needed the freezer and it was only marginally better The room was not very clean and smelledWe checked out the next morning even though we had booked 2 nights It took 3 days to get refunded for the night we didn’t stayPass this one by folks

I’m pretty sure I woke the employee up when I arrived The vestibule and lobby had an unpleasant smell The room was hot and stuffy-they didn’t bother to have the air on

I pulled the covers back to get into bed, there were stains on the sheets, a hair that wasn’t mine and crumbs or dirt in the bed, yuck!!! They clearly didn’t bother to change the sheets I wanted to leave, but my sibling had fallen asleep while I stepped out to walk the dog I considered sleeping in the car, but it didn’t feel like a safe area I used my sweatshirt as a pillow and slept on the bottom corner of the bed on top of the bedspread No way was I getting into a dirty bed Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep As soon as my sibling woke up in the morning we left as fast as possible I would not stay there again

This is by far the best B&B I’ve ever been to! The owners are super nice and exceptionally friendly The breakfast was amazing! The room with a working fireplace and a Jacuzzi bath tub was very romantic They are also super pet friendly! My little dog Doodlebug also had a great time there

I have a list of about a dozen pet friendly B&Bs we were thinking of trying, but after our visit here we are not going to go anywhere else This is now our permanent future B&B vacation destination

We LOVED staying there! The owners/operators were amazing and so hospitable! The grounds were so beautiful and so peaceful, the food and service was delicious and amazing! The rooms were so unique and comfortable Our son and his family lived just 5 minutes away so it was a perfect place to stay while visiting The tour and the history was so amazing and the owners were happy to show you the unique features as well as the history of the underground railroad and how the original owners were part of this! AMAZING! You will not be disappointed

My husband did not want to stay at a B&B when we were first looking but afterwards he said it was worth it!

Amazing B&B experience! The innkeepers are super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the 1700s house and gave us a fascinating tour when we arrived The extensive grounds have beautiful flowers and several sets of chairs to sit and enjoy the day The Anna White room has a wonderful canopy bed, a cozy fireplace, and a fabulous two-person jetted tub in the in-room bathroom

Breakfast has multiple delicious courses and made me wish I had multiple stomachs to fit more of the scrumptious food The area has many enticing restaurants and ice cream places and we could continue our exploration of Revolutionary era history with a visit to the near-by Nathan Hale Homestead The three resident kitty cats were an adorable addition to the experience Can’t wait to come back!

Two stars for location, clean towels, working TV, microwave and refrigerator, toilet in shower has proper running water as other people have stated when you walk through the lobby it is overwhelming with cigarette smoke

Luckily my room didn’t smell as bad I picked this place because it was on my way home and it was pet friendly I got here an hour early in the front desk person was accommodating even though the pet friendly room wasn’t ready he allowed me to stay in the handicap room across the hallway room 122 I appreciate the side door that was close to the room allowing me to bring my dog’s that way instead of going through the lobby However the side doors are open 24/7 without any security My door only had the one lock Female traveling alone made me feel a little bit uncomfortable so I put a chair underneath the door for extra security If the room was 50 bucks I would expect this kind of stay They are definitely overpriced for what they offer In all honesty the building should be completely shut down gutted out and redone The owners could care less it’s quite clear The last time this place probably had anything new including bed coverings was probably 20 years ago My sheets still had human hairs on them The only thing this place has going for it is the location It’s too bad the owners Don’t care

We showed up and as soon as you walk in you get smacked in the face with the smell of cigarettes We walked into our room it was smelly, and very hot Ac didn’t work and the rug looked like it hasn’t seen a vacuum in decades

We walked right back out No child should be sleeping in that place Nice people but there should be a deep cleaning done before anyone stays there

jennifer beloin

Rooms are dirty and carpet was wet in spots The non smoking areas still smelled like smoke in the hallwaysNo chain lock on our door and when we realized our air conditioner was not working they did give us a fan the first night but they never tried to get it fixed and offered no discount for us having to sweat to death during a very hot weekend

I will never stay there again

I saw another review that if zero stars were an option… it definitely would be Building and room smells like cigarettes, food that’s not picked up lies on the floor and stairs, stain on the bed sheet, no bathroom soap, miscommunication with the employees about how many nights we stay…so we had to move to a room that smells strongly of urine We literally looked for a new hotel a few minutes after

Not to mention, employees are very informal and unprofessional (receptionist wasn’t wearing any shoes) Save yourself the time and money and don’t go to this place, even for a night

Wan Khalil Wan Ahmad

Please read others’ reviews and stay away from this hotel I forgot to check the review before making a reservation

big mistake!!!I booked a double bed room The lady in front said no, you reserved a single bed Heck no! I showed her confirmation email, DOUBLE BED ROOM It is just the beginningOur room has 2 sinks, one of them has painters tape and a garbage bag saying do not use itI think the owner stole one of the mattresses from the dumpster because it’s extremely  sagging You don’t have to lay down, it’s clearly sag It’s like a bowl! The other mattress seems to be okay, but not until you lay downAnd the pillow it’s like a 5 years old cheap pillow from WalmartForgot about safety, the security door has been disableWe tried to book another hotel that night unfortunately no other hotel available considering it’s already 1am We check in lateBreakfast? Personally I think, they purposely use COVID to avoid serving breakfast Actually I don’t care, I don’t think I will eat their breakfast anywayIn summary, AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST!!!!

marcus stenson

I really enjoyed staying here I was in town here for the NCAA Lacrosse Championship weekend The room was very clean, the location of the hotel was idea, plenty of stores & a nice restaurant “Vernon Diner” next door, and above all the ladies at the front desk were so nice, professional, and wonderful

I would definitely stay here again -Marcus-

Ok super cute place! Very plain, very clean and staff extremely nice! Waaayyyyy out of way from where we needed to be but I didn’t mind the scenic drive Beautiful old towns we drove through The architect of the old homes around was exquisite

The motel is over 70 years old But I loved it Very quite as well which is nice They do take pets if you are traveling Microwave, mini fridge and nice clean beds Butbring pillows! Woke up cramped neck, but hey nothing a little Tylenol couldn’t help lol Make sure you do all your shopping for food before you are in for night as well Super far away from food places, except a all night gas station/mini Mart Which again I don’t mind Also they do provide shampoo & soap But go to dollar general and grab yourself a travel size shampoo or $1 sauve Someone referred to this place as Bates motel I can see resemblance but definitely not the feel If you like quite, and budget friendly, and clean this is a place to stay We had family in wauregan, was a tad far but, like I said I enjoyed it Definitely a great spot and kid friendly as well
