Deja at the front desk was AMAZING! She gave a great intro, noticed my birthday, and gave me a great room! Also staff at the bar was great too The staff at this hotel felt like one big happy family which was nice to see versus some of the large cookie cutter hotels in large chain hotelsRoom was great and so was the rooftop!

We had an emergency stay here about a year ago due to our property management company neglecting the property we rented Viceroy was completely accommodating, kind and lovely We had four pets, two dogs and two cats, and they had no problem allowing them to stay with us

We had forgotten a litter box in the chaos of leaving our rental home and they brainstormed and got us a makeshift one that worked out perfectlyThe room was clean, nice and well lit with huge windows The lobby area was clean and large We enjoyed our stay during this stressful time and they helped us feel at home away from home We will always be looking at Viceroy for our trips going forward!

Heidi Morales-Hake

I would first like to say that I hope The Viceroy will take this feedback and make this property better, because it truly has lots of potential The hotel is beautifully decorated, but is lacking in basic amenities The hotel staff was really nice and for the most part, the rooms were great (size-wise, layout, etc)

There’s a great restaurant, Dovetail, located on the first floor and it is phenomenalWhere The Viceroy fell short was the poor AC circulation in the rooms and the rooftop pool area During our 3 night stay, our room did not cool at all The cold air was blowing from the AC unit, but it didn’t stay cool It made it very uncomfortable to sleep and we had to constantly turn on the AC, since it would automatically turn off on its own We asked the front desk about the AC issue and they said it was a common issue at all their properties, and there wasn’t anything they could do The second big issue was the pool area, which turned out to be a disappointment Not only was the Hush Rooftop Bar not open for the 3 days we spent at the pool, but it was nearly impossible to find snacks/food on the hotel premise during the pool hours The BPM coffee and wine shop closes at 1pm, and the Hush Rooftop Bar opens at 5pm and is not available during pool hours We had to bring outside food and drinks to the pool area, which was a huge inconvenience The hotel is missing out on an opportunity to cater to the poolside crowd between 1-5pm Aside from this, the pool was dirty, cloudy and we found all sorts of plastic cups, and chunks of hair floating in the pool We asked the staff assigned to the pool to please pass the net, but it was pretty obvious the pool hadn’t been cleaned in a while I’ve never seen this at any other pool I’ve been to, and know it’s a small task that goes a long wayI don’t don’t how The Viceroy is considered a 4-star hotel, but if they’re going to claim and charge like a 4-star hotel, they should put the effort into being one

I would highly recommend the Four Seasons in Georgetown The staff is so amazing and the Concierges is out of this world They helped us get tickets to all the places that we wanted to go around town and went above and beyond on places that didn’t have availability to try to get us tickets

Also the rooms are incredible! I can’t say enough about the service and the quality of the hotel

We stayed at TownePlace Suites for more than 15 weeks I would like to say that this was thus far the best hotel stay experience we have had The hotel is clean, has great amenities, and has free continental breakfast

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

Danielle Pierre

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Taylor Namm

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

Nice hotel Parking was free on weekends so if you are leaving on a weekend there’s no need to payEntry is a bit weird off the street but the security of this hotel is 5 stars

You need your keycard to get around Staff was nice as well Room was clean Like most hotels the bathroom could use some more attention but overall was very satisfied

Yanick Rochon

Rooms are okay The curtains still let light pass in the morning The extra bed had no blanket included so we had to order some (without charge but we specifically asked at check in but had to repeat request a second time)

Nothing else is included There is no swimming pool, no gym, no breakfast included, and a paid parking It’s disappointing for the price

Convenient transportation, convenient shopping, quick check-in, considerate handmade chocolate cookies at the front desk, business center, easy access to computers, clean and tidy rooms But there is no matching pool and exercise equipment, the room does not have a microwave, parking is not ideal, there is paid parking and paid breakfastSo Check-in is recommended if parking and breakfast are not required

The Jefferson absolutely delivered a 5 star experience The service was outstanding and all the little touches like a tv in my bathroom mirror or a stool for my purse went above and beyond what was expected One of the best here

They have one of the best bar and restaurants I’ve had while staying in a hotel The Quill and the Greenhouse had wonderful food and drinks ! Service was top notch Every single staff member went above and beyond my expectation A must if you are staying in DC ! So many amenities and extra touches

Scott Ordal

This was our first experience at a luxury hotel and we were not disappointed! The staff were so friendly from the time that we pulled up to use the valet all the way through picking our car up to leave the next day Every person that we interacted with was so kind and professional, they really made us feel special The room service was so good and the room that we stayed in was like nothing we’ve seenbefore

Next time we are in DC we will definitely stay here again!

Emanuel Hudson

The Jefferson: To summarize our stay in one word AMAZING! This luxurious boutique hotel is nothing short than five stars It focuses on the details from the moment you enter and check-in at the reception desk to your final moments upon departure

We stayed in the Deluxe King Guest Room and it delivered! As a person that’s all about the details, there’s one thing that stood out in our room, which was the bottom sheets covering the box spring, it had what appeared to be several red wine stains on the sheets Regardless of this one detail, the room was great and we enjoyed our stay The entire staff we encountered were professionals and attentive They were courteous and were ready and willing to help at a moments notice Shout outs to Kadir (Butler), Yolanda (Receptionist), and Mike (Bartender) to name a few team members there for making our stay memorable The In-room dinning experience was also great however the menu did differ slightly from the Greenhouse Restaurant on the main floor to the in-dinning room dinning menu that was provided on the tablet in your room We’ll be staying there again in the future

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

Jenny Terry

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

Janna Chan

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

I stayed here for just one night on a business trip and had a lovely experience Beautiful room and location In the heart of the city close to many food options

Staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming I cannot comment on pricing as my room was paid for but it was an excellent stay Loved my room and felt so relaxed! Would love to come back! Special thank you to Femi, a receptionist who was very accommodating at check in and check out

Takia Brown

The hotel lobby was clean, the staff were nice, and the location was good Not super impressed for the price No amenities really

I had to request a fridge in my room so to accommodate that they put me in a handicap room I’m six feet tall and everything was super low so it wasn’t ideal The heated floors in the bathroom didn’t work The valet took a little too long so I tried not to use my car The gym and the rooms are pretty small I don’t think this is a desirable hotel but it’s nice

summer hiltpold`

Hotel was great and staff was friendly John was quick to greet us for the valet We left for dinner and came back to a tidy room

We stopped into the bar (the Doyle) stayed for one drink, service was very slow but they were busy and we were content and atmosphere was nice Drink was excellent Hotel claimed to have 24hr room service We called a little before midnight for a bottle of Prosecco (listed on their room service menu) only to be told they don’t do that and to call the Doyle (their bar that was closing in 2 minutes, didn’t get through) Overall fine experience but disappointed in advertised room service When paying for amenities, I like to get what I paid for

Disappointing Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us Definitely not worth the price

Rooms should be soundproofed better Mediocre— nice Marriott at best Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieterThe lobby is adorable and homey feeling Service was great Location is great

Alyssa Glorioso

I had the pleasure of working with the director of catering, Liliana Klein, on a gorgeous wedding this past weekend I was the couple’s planner and was thrilled to be able to produce a wedding at Ritz Carlton Georgetown Throughout the process, Liliana was the consummate professional: warm and welcoming, communicative, addressed any and all questions, followed up after any meetings promptly, and on the day was FANTASTIC to work with

I could tell it was a high priority of Liliana to go above and beyond for the couple in making their wedding weekend a dream experience for them and an effortless celebration for their guests Would work here for every wedding if I could! Plus, gatherings of 70-90 are my favorite!! Thank you, Liliana and RC staff

Patty Arvielo

I’m sorry but hope that my review helps when making a decision on what hotel to book This is a 3 star hotel at best, it appears as though it is a Marriott not a Ritz Carlton For a better choice book the Four Seasons Georgetown

I have an Exec Suite , the furniture is stained and old, the mini bar has absolutely nothing in it Just not a 5 star hotel

Best hotel in GeorgetownI love the charm of this hotel right in the heart of everything The friendliest staff and impeccable service and luxurious accommodations while steps away from shopping and more dining options

The library/reception area is a cozy and elegant pace for a nightcap or to lounge The rooftop offers a fantastic view of the cityscape and is a great for private functions or if you need a peaceful place to hang out

Jay Gif

Staff were friendly and helpful Valet offered to keep Tesla charged overnight which was great! The room was THE quietest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in (no HVAC noise at all) Bed was comfortable, bathroom nice although some paint bubbling in ceiling

The rooftop spa and bar looked amazing but too cold to enjoy Deducted a star for value, was very expensive and just didn’t quite deliver what I felt it should at that price

Tania Ferguson

The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities The pool is the size of two hot tubs

Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel I had to go grocery shopping They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor…and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar The room is incredibly small and the bathroom hard to manage in its size The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus More accurately this is a brick wall view There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals The fitness facility is a really big disappointment-I’ve had to find a gym to go work out at So I’ve had to leave the premises for food, workout, spa services…It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade

Treated my sister and her husband to a stay at the Hay-Adams & it’s one of the very few times I can say that it was absolutely worth every cent Our rooms were impeccable, every member of the staff we encountered was genuinely caring, & every meal we ate was exceptional Everything exceeded my expectations

I’ve never experienced anything like it; they must go out of their way to hire the best of the best & treat them well because nothing fell short of absolute excellenceI don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else in the city It made our time in DC magical

We loved our 5 night stay here while visiting DC The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very nice and accommodating There are a few up-charges, but I highly recommend using your food vouchers at breakfast, it was amazing and took those resort fee pains away

The location was great, just a few min walk to bus or metro, we used those a lot There are a bunch of one ways around the hotel so driving in and out is a little annoying Highly recommend the St Gregory

Marcus Diaz

The first night was rough, no AC and after asking staff to address the issue the following day they had not despite telling me they did The second night was much better after moving to a different room that actually had AC It’s a really beautiful property with an excellent location and the management was very accommodating

Would definitely stay here again

We reserved a King Suite for us and our teenage son When we arrived, we were told there was no more Valet that parking was full “The closest public garage is a few blocks away” we were told by the front desk

We were shocked that parking was not available, especially considering what we paid for our Suite They left our vehicle parked in the Valet lane in front of the hotel, we were ok with that idea and asked for it to remain there as we had a very early flight out the next morningIn the room, we had no sheets, blankets, or pillows for the pull out sofa and were only given 2 sets of bath towels for a room stating that it accommodates 4 peopleNeither phone in our Suite worked, both were inoperational We had no way to call the desk, housekeeping, or the valet When we called from our cell on an outside line, there was no answer, only a machine each of the 3 times we triedWhen we returned from viewing the monuments at night and tried to ask the front desk about our vehicle, parking, etc, she started to address us but stopped abruptly to chat with a member of housekeeping who was leaving for the night She ignored us as we stood their in mid conversation with her, not professional at allWhen it was time to check out, our vehicle had been moved even though we generously tipped the desk to make sure our car would be ready at 7:30am in the morningIf you like partying and loud bars, this is the area for you Tons of heavy vehicle traffic at night and lots of foot traffic too When we checked out, the street right in front of the hotel was littered with masks, cigarette butts, trash, food, and cupsThe only saving grace for this hotel is a manager named Lyle who tries his best to right the wrongs to the best of his abilities No one else at this hotel seems to care in the slightest about you, their reputation, or your experience there

We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in The room was lovely

Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff 10/10 would recommend!!

Superb location, and very cool building Rooms are good — certainly better & more unique than a chain hotel, but nothing fancyService, however, was very disappointing for this price point

Called room service for an extra set of utensils never delivered Front desk called with a non-urgent questions at ~11pm on Friday night, then accidentally called my room at ~6am the following Saturday morning ouch Finally, tried to check out the hotel’s rooftop bar and later, the “included” rental bikes only to find out that roof was not open to guests and the bikes were not availableAll told, great location and cool architecture, but for this price the service & amenities left a lot to be desired Hopefully they can improve, it’s great having a hotel option in such an excellent location!

Everything about our experience was incredible The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must The service is excellent and the food is fantastic

Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morningEverything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!

Watch your bill and charges! While it wasn’t a horrible experience in every aspect, we are stuck in limbo waiting for a call back because they charged us for our full 3 night stay despite having paid a night upfront when we made the reservation so now we’ve paid for 4 nights (only destroyed 3) At the front desk they told us everyone is having this issue How can that be allowed to continue when they know about it and they continue charging people for an extra night they’ve already paid? Other than that the room was fine

I wasn’t impressed with the services at the front desk even before the billing issue came to light The bell service people were aggressive and wanted to load every bag in your car which just slowed us down I get that it’s their job and they’re trying to be helpful but you have to back off when people want to do things on their ownUpdate: we’ve made multiple attempts to connect with their billing department asking to correct this issue The front desk has assured me multiple times that we’d get a call back but a week and a half later and still nothing! When they knowingly overcharge you for an additional night that’s fraud! Not only will I be disputing this with my credit card company but will also refer this matter to the attorney general’s officeThere were also additional small charges every day that were on top of the nightly rate and taxes I hope someone can figure out this scam

Positives, nice decor, rooms are nice but a bit small The staff is friendly and welcomingHowever, overall not a great experience

I made a reservation directly through their app for a room with 2 queen beds Due to a longer then expected travel time, i checked in through the app, and I also called to confirm my reservation and to let them know of a late arrival I get to the hotel and they give me a room with a king size bed and they told me it was basically the same thing, it’s not I was told that there was nothing else they could do except a rolling bed, one that didn’t fit in the room It was frustrating not receiving what I had reserved and not being offered a way to make up for it It was all an unnecessary inconvenience that I tried to avoid since the beginning

The staff has been really friendly and helpful I checked in quite late and was really hungry after a long flight from San Francisco, so I decided to eat at their restaurant The server, Abdul, was really nice

I don’t usually send food back, but the crab soup didn’t taste so good, so I politely told Abdul I wouldn’t be finishing it He was apologetic and took the soup off my bill The rooms are clean and modern The bathroom is a bit small and feels rather cramped when you’re sitting on the toilet My neighbors decided to have a loud party at 3am and after sending a message to the front desk, I was offered a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience In the morning, I asked if my neighbors would be staying another night and when that was confirmed, the front desk immediately moved me to a different room, which was greatly appreciated So far, I’ve had a pleasant experience with the location and staff

I reserved a hotel room for my fiance’s birthday We had a very pleasant stay The staff greeted us warmly and were very accommodating

They even upgraded our room for free! The room was very spacious, like a 1 bedroom apartment, with an attached balcony There was a decently stocked kitchen attached This is a pet friendly hotel, and a dog bed and bowls were provided at no additional charge The gentleman at the front desk even offered to walk our puppy for us There is a hospital close by, and the noises that come with that, and just DC noise in general, but they offer ear plugs, sleep masks and white noise machines The bed was comfortable Wifi was complimentary (a bit slow at times tho) Overall, I would stay here again

Very happy Very clean hotel The area is pricey as is with any major city

The indoor pool was great but some customers were screaming too loud and for it being inside there was no one there to kindly remind them of the detailsThe room was clean! We didn’t get out beds made but we did get fresh towels which was niceThe breakfast was a great addition and we appreciated itParking for the hotel is $50 but Colonial Parking is $30The staff were kind and pleasant Overall, I would return!

Cruise Girl

It is located in a good area of the city but not of the monuments, there is public transport nearby and restaurants, the room is huge but I did not like the view and that the doors sound too hard you are calm in your room and your neighbor’s door rings and it takes away your peace They leave a single soap for 2 people a little stingy It is a basic hotel with a gym and a small pool, normal breakfast some fruits, oatmeal, coffee, cereal, bread, eggs the lady of the cafeteria very friendly

I recommend it

This very modern Apartmenthouse is for me the right placeYou have a complete apartment with everything you need for a short or even long stayThe whole place works fully digital

Once you have installed the App and activated your stay, you are ready to enter everything you needThe doors will unlock automatically once you are close, the same goes for the elevator or the parking garageThe equipment in the room is top notchAs fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, even an extra dressing room, what else can you ask for?Oh yes, of course what about a balcony? But this is also therePricing is excellent compared with hotels in that area, only 15 minutes from the Capitol

Great location, amenities and spaceLooks clean upon first glance, but after a couple hrs walking around, all our socks and feet were filthyNot for families with young kids or anyone planning to remove their shoes at some point

It’s a shame, as I really like a lot of features about this place and would still recommend for adults who aren’t going to be bothered by dirty floorsFor $450/nt, I expected not to have to be down on my knees Lysol wiping when first arriving at my hotel

Noel Pearson

Genuinely amazing experience The staff was kind, courteous, and personable (Natia helped check my partner and I in) The room was gorgeous, clean, spacious, and far exceeded any expectations, especially at the steal of a price it was at! There were so many amenities available to us: a washer and dryer, a high-end fridge with ice and water dispensers, a dishwasher, a walk-in closet, a massive flat screen with Apple TV, an exercise room; it would be easier to name what they didn’t have! I bought the Junior room with a queen bed for $157 a night (pre-tax) and have to say that it was worth every cent!My partner is very picky about, well, everything

I was deadly afraid of messing up her birthday trip with a sub-par room, luckily I didn’t have to worry at all WhyHotel provided us with a room that she deemed the nicest room she’s stayed in, everTheir check-in and check-out policy is quick, easy, and —frankly— next gen with its electronic lock system and digital services If I ever needed assistance, I could text the help line and get a response almost immediately! The location was in a fantastic area, as well The view was incredible and the options for shopping and eating were limitlessFrom the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank WhyHotel for making my partner’s birthday the best to date I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in area
