Great place, and great visit – safe, comfortable, and convenient to Tampa at a great price! The owner / manager (Bruce? I’m terrible with names!) was very quick and helpful in getting me checked in I stayed in the Amsterdam dorm with 6 beds There were 3 other guests who were friendly and quiet

The bed was comfortable – I slept like a log! And I had room to hang my gear The kitchen and shower were all nearby – convenient and just right Unique decor, and great experience I’ll be back! Not sure what happened to my first review, so my apologies if this is a repeat

Nicole Caparella

Super cool vibe, lots of cool space to hang out outside, I took a bunch of pics of painted artwork on some of the spaces outside I got the rock n roll room and it was immaculately clean and the bathroom was unexpectedly fancy and the bed I would like to bring with me everywhere lol Mary and (blanking on his name) were excellent hosts making me feel at home

When I stayed, there were some college students from Amsterdam, a really cool couple that jammed out on guitar and it was just a very peaceful vibe! Coming back next time I’m in the area 💯

Paloma Gonçalves

I had a great time here! I stayed for one week and it was amazing Hostel with hippie vibe Every night, Bruce would turn on the hot tub for us There was a live jam in one of the days and it was great

There is also free breakfast included Bruce (the owner) tries to get to know the guests! Very friendlyThe internet speed is pretty good I was working from there without any issues

We were there for our son’s wedding and had lots of family with us All of the staff were amazing! Kim at the front desk went out of her way to make us happy! All of the folks at the front desk were superstars: Kim, George, Ron, and Anastasia! Thank you for an an amazing stay! The beds and bedding were awesome and so comfy! Even our 84 year old mother who never sleeps well, slept like a baby! Wonderful experience!

Denise Cadogan-Stanford -LABOR-

My stay was great!!! I have to acknowledge the housekeeper Betty K, she made sure and ensured that all of my needs were met on time She extended her courteous gesture and visited every morning and I appreciated it

My checkout experience was also great!! Stephanie greeted me with a smile and made the checkout process easy Thank you both for my wonderful time at the Westin

Rini Roy

What a horrible stay – wish we had chosen a different hotel for our weekend First we endured a ridiculously long wait to check-in because there was only one person at the front desk on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON Then we get a suite that doesn’t have a working bathtub (water wouldn’t drain), no body wash, no bathrobes in the room, and a defective television

Someone came up to “fix” the tub but it still wouldn’t drain in the morning, and when we called down again the front desk tells us they’re aware the tub isn’t working and it needs a bigger fix So they waited to tell us/fix the problem until WE called down to call about it We are finally switched to another room, but it, too, doesn’t have body wash or bathrobes, and now the AC barely works and there is a defective smoke detector that flashes bright green throughout the night When we call the front desk at 2:30am to let them about the smoke detector and how it’s now woken up our 2 year old, instead of offering to fix it or another more feasible solution, we are offered a room change – at 2:30AM with a toddler Ridiculous! The next morning, we stood around for at least 15 minutes before a valet attendant even acknowledged us to ask if we were waiting for our car even though we stood right in front of several guys just standing around chatting with each other It was only when my husband pulled out his wallet that someone looked our way and offered to assistWe were offered $50 off our room stay and complimentary parking for our troubles, but i just received my credit card statement and the parking was charged HORRIBLE experience and with so many other hotels to choose from in the area, Westin Waterside is the last place anyone should book

Great location where you can actually walk to things like the Children’s museum Checking in was smooth, Valerie was very knowledgeable in giving me local recommendations and even made my 2 children smile It’s nice to come somewhere new and be nicely welcomed

The pool was great, and surprisingly we had it all to ourselves Wish the exercise room was bigger, but gets the job done while traveling Would recommend for people wanting to stay in the downtown area

Rose Hudson

LaQuesha at the front desk was super helpful Gave us the best advice Checking in was just phenomenal because of her amazing spirit

That girl deserves a raise for real! This experience turned very awful when the fire alarm went off at 4:11 am, at first I was super understanding and very concerned as fire trucks and police start showing up We were one of the first people downstairs and there were no staff around or present There was no direction, no one executing any safety precautions Then at 9 am the following morning the fire alarm went off again for 15 seconds again before turning off again, and again at 10 am for 5 seconds No one was taking it seriously When we asked a staff member as we are walking down the stairs what we should do, they had no direction and basically told us to go back to our rooms What if a real fire had gone on, people would have not taken it seriously due to the previous electrical system errors, that is easily a fire hazard and huge code violation on the fire alarm system, never again We come to find out this was reported happening two days prior due to electrical system errors This place needs to be shut down and electrical issues needs to be addressed, it is a huge risk and not worth the time or money to stay here

Rolando Drausal

I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived Javier greeted us cheerfully and had a great sense of humor Upon check in Jessica found us a very nice room overlooking the River ( mom’s bday)

Room was well suited, clean and with all the necessary amenities All other staff members I met were helpful Good location, 1 block away from river walk, a little over 1/2 mile from Convention Center Very competitive price compared to well known chains

i was a little nervous about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but i didn’t really have a choice because we were there for a class being held in the halls let me just say, i was not disappointed the rooms were a great size, they granted late check out, breakfast was 8/10, pool was a good size

sadly our air conditioning wasn’t great and they didn’t have anyone who could fix it properly & the hot tub was no warmer than a hot bath so that’s why they got a 4 star instead of 5 overall a great stay for the price and very reasonable location

Kelly Phillips

I initially was not going to stay at the Hilton after reading some of the reviews and booked a room elsewhere with a friend The visit with my friend fell through so I decided to rebook at the Hilton I’m glad I did! Making the reservation was simple and all of my concerns and requests were met (a room far from the elevator, quiet location and handicap accessible parking)

The room was beautiful and clean Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable The air conditioning was nice and cold Staff were very helpful and pleasant!

Agnes AJ

When checking in, we were greeted with bottles of water The front desk staff was very friendly and worked quickly to give us our keys The rooms was unspectacular (blah decor) but clean, comfortable, and quiet

There was a microwave and a refrigerator (and the refrigerator was actually cold, which was nice) The only thing that kind of bugged me was the bars of facial and bath soap provided in the room It is some type of environmentally friendly soap, which is great, but it generated very little suds What few suds I got, I really worked for! The complimentary breakfast was really tasty with a very nice selection They had made to order omelettes, yogurt, baked items, cereal, bagels, fruit, etc They also had breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon strips, sausage patties and pancakes I like this hotel and recommend it

Great hotel overall My family stayed for a long weekend and we loved the proximity to the airport and convenience of local restaurants and shopping Not a far drive to the beach either! The hotel is very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, convenient coffee shop in the lobby, very nice pool on the 9th floor with a beautiful view of the bay, and the beds are comfortable too! Our room had a coffee maker and mini fridge as well

We definitely recommend this hotel

A suitcase and a baby

Nice hotel but there must be a plumbing issue in the hotel Toilet barley flushed and tub didn’t drain Kinda disgusting to shower in dirty water

Corner room view was horrible and it sounded like someone was tapping on my window all night Room never got cold despite being on 65 Beds probably would’ve been comfortable if I weren’t hot as all hell Lobby is welcoming but the workers at the front desk clearly are uninterested in working Bar and work spaces make it convenient for after work drinks

Chelsea S

We were on the 11th floor… the hottest floor in the whole building There was no trash can liners or an ice bucket The ice machine on the 11th floor didn’t work

The ac was set at 65 but the temp of the room never went below 78 It’s a bit awkward that the rooms windows face the office building across the way and everyone can see in to your room And paying $14 to park every day kinda sucked However aside from that it’s a nice hotel The bar was decently priced and Stan the bartender makes a great margarita!

Room was perfectly cleaned, the whole hotel was very clean Restaurant lacks atmosphere but the food is very good, the prices line any hotel The rooms are not the typical Holiday Inn room

The are minimalistic style I thought the decor looked old I think they should have replaced the doors when they remodeled, they look like they have been painted 20 times You can tell that the lady renovation was only partial Still a decent place to stay, wonderful bed and the rooms are super quiet from outside noise However, in the hallways you can hear every conversation and Inter room you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways It has a very nice pool They charge guest for parking, that cost the hotel one whole star Noise issue, another star Still recommend it

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a place This website will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the best in this area

I have been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you won’t be let downThe room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable The water pressure leaves something to be desired, but outside of that evening was great I never did see the hotel restaurant open and checked at all times of day There is a cooler in the lobby with drinks for purchase and some snacks as well Ricardo is the nicest staff person there He was always kind and helpful I’d stay here again if I were in the area

Kelly P

If you’re coming from out of town, be aware that this hotel is not in the best area The inside itself was nice and the hotel staff was great The experience was strange however

This was the first hotel I’ve been to where you need your room key to use the elevator and you’re only able to go to your room floor On one hand it ensure your safety, but on the other, you have to wonder why they do that There are some homeless people in the area, so that may be why When my husband and I were sitting at the restaurant, a homeless guy walked in, put his bags at the table beside us and went to use the restroom We are from a small town in Southern Ontario and aren’t used to seeing that (even amongst all the places we’ve traveled to) We quickly finished eating and left We went for a walk to the convenience store across the road and there were sketching characters around, so just be mindful of that if you’re walking around outside the hotel The room was average, but clean We found it pricey for what it was, but I think all of Tampa is expensive The restaurant was ok, but the service was terrible We had a Philly steak sandwich for dinner which was good, but we had to ask for things like ketchup, etc as it was never offered They also didn’t take a drink order and then give us time to look at the menu They dropped off the menu and came right back and said do you know what you want to order It was strange We went back for breakfast as it was convenient Again, the service was not good I ordered waffles and they were the worst waffles I’ve ever had and the coffee wad terrible I would go somewhere else! All in all, our stay wasn’t terrible, but given the area, I’d likely find somewhere else to stay if I ever went back to Tampa

Booked about 15 rooms here for an event downtown and was a bit nervous given the mixed reviews; however, everything was great The rooms are a bit older but mine was very clean and no one had any complaints Am diamond … executive lounge was nice looking and had some nice snacks, very good coffee, and good soft drinks

Wish it opened at 6 instead of 7 am but that was fine Complimentary breakfast for diamond members was quite nice Valet was quick Not sure why some have given less than good reviews Very good location Thank you for doing a nice job with my small group

Cristyle Wood Egitto

100% recommend this hotel Got upgraded to executive upon check in which was a pleasant surprise Great city views from the room

Bed was super comfy Nice toiletries Staff was all really friendly Valet kinda pricey but we self-parked and it’s downtown so can’t really do much there Great location So close to the waterfront, arena, Armeture, etc Has a Starbucks in the lobby and a nice restaurant/bar Would absolutely stay here again

Chemere Mathis

We traveled to Tampa to visit family & this was the perfect stay! The location was close to great restaurant & bars Valet was very convenient & professional The front desk receptionists were friendly & very helpful

Special S/O to Hashim that works the front desk ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ He ensured our stay was enjoyable from checking in & during the remainder of our stay It was pleasure to work with him!!The only concern I have is the rate of our room that was increased by $300 for one night before we checked out when we were told a different price by the front desk I’m hoping management or corporate will help to resolve this manner efficiently as I enjoy being a Hilton memberUpdate: Lucas reached out to resolve my concern & honor the amount that was given by the front desk Thank you all!

Honestly I have nothing negative to say about this hotel as it met my expectations perfectly Clean, comfortable, and quiet Additionally the design of the hotel is rather interesting and makes for plenty of parking underneath the hotel (which is free)

Also I noticed that there were three EV chargers which is great to see in a more budget-friendly hotel The staff was great and was able to get me checked in early which was a huge plus Only negative would be getting out of the hotel and back onto the main road You usually just had to wait a minute or two for the flow or cars to go past but still a bit annoying

K Jacobs

1st room the AC didn’t work Changed to a new room and there was a distinct pest control smell that was there all 3 nights we stayed Housekeeping was not great

At checkout they charged my cc for premium internet which I didn’t sign up for or use Called 3x to get credit on my cc They were somewhat rude but said I would receive credit No credit received Did a chargeback with my credit card DO BETTER

We really like this little hotel Extremely clean rooms, facilities, which is top criteria for us (We always wipe high-touch items down anyway

This was one of the few hotels we’ve experienced that actually seems to clean the headboard, for instance, which we lean against for TV)EVERY STAFF MEMBER I encountered was professional, friendly, helpful, attentive, and good-natured You can tell this hotel really takes care of its peopleSpecifically, Marcus always offered great advice and suggestions You could tell he really was *thinking* about your question or matter and wanted to offer the best response Ruben was also another stand-out, just an all-around cool person, helpful, and patient Actually, they both wereThe King suites were pretty comfortable, although a bit cramped Esp when someone is at the desk, you have to kind of sidle around Breakfast is “okay” We don’t eat a lot of carbs or processed food, so would prefer eggs & protein instead of breakfast sandwiches Although, they’re not badWe started out with a very lackluster experience at a Home2 Suites close by I’d booked and paid for the room, went up, thought about it and we came back down and checked out, and came back to TownePlace We don’t need (or deserve) to be treated like the other hotel when we’re paying for accommodations We were only at the other place for the better breakfast options, anyway We were happy to return to our friends at TownePlaceBy the way, on our second stay in particular, we found the lobby to be a GREAT place to hold work/study calls at any hour except breakfast It’s laid out thoughtfully, and there isn’t a huge echo-y space, like at Sleep Inn down the road It’s pretty easy to find privacy with the way seating and dividers are arranged (On first stay, one of the TVs was up a little loud, and I saw no way to turn it down a notch)Note, the lobby coffee is old and seems only to be put out once: in the morning at breakfast The K-cups in the rooms are lackluster To me, they taste a bit like dust, ashes, and grass lol I brought my own coffee here I did appreciate the irish creme creamers on our first stay Unfortunately, only hazelnut was available on our secondFinally, we liked how the lobby was on the second floor, and you can only get to higher floors if you have a working key card Nice for securityWe’d absolutely stay here again (and again)!

Super clean! Rooms are the Embassy Suites “standard,” which means Excellent! Large suites, well designed with a mini-kitchen (fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, & sink) Impressive shower with the world’s perfect hot/cold water selector! Quiet, large sleeping area with efficient blackout curtains Nice amenities include iron/ironing board and a safe

Supreme breakfast and at the end of the day they have a wonderful Happy Hour for guests that includes free beer and wine (spirits are available as well) Five stars 🤩

Karina Colmenares

What an excellent stay! The room was great and the customer service was awesome The most memorable part was Jacob from the downstairs restaurant Taste He is one of the best bartender’s I’ve ever met in my life

You can tell he is passionate on what he does and he made my birthday weekend awesome!! Not only that, but that restaurant has the best food ever I went out to eat a few times in Tampa, but my family and I still found our way back to that restaurant because it was definitely 5 star material I will be coming back soon!!

Jerri Allaster

Incredibly expensive for the value I encourage you to book on line and DO NOT wait until the last minute, especially to book on a weekend Do not book at the desk as you will not receive the available online discounts

Although it is a suite, not worth $400+ a night The rooms need some work to get up to date You are provided 2 real glasses, 1 in our room was a quarter full of water and were apparently hand washed or just rinsed instead of cleaned in the dishwasher, unacceptable The room could use a deep cleaning The pool chairs are dated and the tables need to be cleaned periodically The upside, a free happy hour with limited selection from 5pm – 6:30 and breakfast daily, that offers a decent selection You have been warned ⚠️

If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!! Checked into this hotel today and requested my enhanced upgrade based on platinum bonvoy status Shawn the front desk attendant rudely stated that they don’t upgrade I told him that is not Marriott policy and my status is not based on the price of the room

He again refused saying his manager told him that was the policy at this hotel I called Marriott Bonvoy customer service and had a supervisor call the hotel and explain to them that they were violating Marriott policy They still refused saying that the General Manager created this policy and he is out of town and they won’t go against him Never been treated like this at any Marriott property I filed a complaint with Marriott and advise all elite members to stay away from these rude arrogant people There are many other Marriott properties in Tampa that won’t treat loyal customers like this

This Hampton Inn was one of our best experiences!!! Greeted by friendly staff who let us drop off our luggage before checking in Room was beautiful!!! Very clean with lots of unexpected amenities like shaving cream and toothpaste!!! The bed was wonderful and so very comfortable Fabulous shower!!! In the morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast which we haven’t seen much of in covid times

Holly at the front desk went the extra mile and hired us a cab when the shuttle had an emergency and couldn’t meet us at the airport Gabby was very friendly and assisted in locking up our bags before checking in Great stay all around!!! Thank you!!!

Before I get into my complaints, I just want to say the staff is extremely nice They deserve all the praise in the world I could not have been more please with their service

The hotel? The location is great, they have a free airport shuttle, & (at least my room) had a microwave/minifridge but the hotel itself leaves a little to be desired1 It drastically needs an interior update, starting with gutting the lobby It smells like an ashtray I’m not sure how long ago Tampa banned in door smoking but clearly that smell is not leaving on its own I’ve grown up around smokers my whole life, so I’m not usually sensitive to smoke smells but this was almost unbearable To make it worse, this is the area where the hotel breakfast is set up Who has an appetite with that smell lingering around them? Pro tip: use the back door to bypass the lobby entirely2 Speaking of the back door is that thing ever locked? I never once had to use my card to enter The elevators are right next to the back door & on the opposite side of the building from the reception desk I think most people would prefer it to be locked at least after dark3 It’s loud, you can hear everyone in the hallway Not really much they can do about that but maybe put some slow close hinges on the doors so they don’t slam all night long?4 The beds are very firm It wasn’t a deal breaker for me but definitely could be for othersAll in all, if you’re doing a quick stop over stay – this hotel is fine but anything extended? Maybe choose a different location

All staff members were friendly and provided excellent serviceWe ended up in the last available room, because of our late check in The ac initially didn’t work, but the staff members were able to fix it after figuring it out It took less than 15 min Again, staff members were greatThe room was clean It has all the amenities you need The pillows were comfortable The mattress was a little on the firm side, so better for guysAll in all, it was a good experience

This hotel is a good value for the dollar The staff is friendly and helpful The rooms are clean and well maintained

The amenities, although small and limited, serve the purpose well The restaurant is goodWhen you step into the hotel, it feels like you are somewhere tropical and exotic! I always recommend it to friends and familyDidn’t like that I had to pay a $20 a night parking fee That was not a nice new surprise

I had to make a last minute reservation during our little family getaway last weekend We had such a great experience The room was BIG and the price was very reasonable for the accommodations! We wanted to be able to swim (I was traveling with 3 small kids) but it was too cold outside so we stayed at this hotel for the indoor pool alone

It was excellent and I’m so happy with how everything turned out (The foods/drinks at the hotel restaurant are a little pricey though!)

Amber Ricciuti

We booked here for the indoor pool which turned out to be the only good thing about this hotel Very ignorant staff The website states they have a continental or full American breakfast but when we asked the staff we were told they don’t have anything like that, just the restaurant that is there which is pretty pricey

Shower doesn’t drain so you’re standing in water the whole time; make you wonder when the last time they cleaned them was The shampoo and conditioner containers don’t even work properly Definitely will not being booking with any hotels in this chain again

I loved this hotel!! The staff were really pleasant and extremely helpful, especially Sonia and Dalton I liked the fitness center and the business center The business center is HUGE and would be perfect for a quiet place to work (rather than the room)

I only went in there on my last day and wish I would have checked it out sooner My husband had breakfast twice in the lobby and was very pleased We both had drinks at the bar on two occasions and I was not disappointed there either The selection of snacks and drinks for purchase in the lobby was much larger than I expected I really liked this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I am in Tampa

The room is clean and quiet The food would have been great if it was brought to me hot instead of cold, the fries was hot thank goodness but the pasta dish was cold and it had to be heated up, I’m sure it was heated in a microwave and it was still just warm when I received it If I wasn’t tired and hungry I would have sent it back again but I was in no mood for disagreements with the chef

They only had one bar tender and one waitress They need to hire more help and perhaps your food will get delivered to your table hot if you ordered a hot dish The hot staff was nice I’m real particular about my food being served, if the meal is supposed to be served hot I want it hot If they would hire more help perhaps my food would have been hot instead of being in the kitchen and someone from the kitchen brought it in that should tell you something

The Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore completely saved my travel experience on a business trip from Alberta to Florida When I tell you this team is nothing short of incredible, there are no words to really explain how well taken care of I felt as a solo female travelerWhen there were issues with my credit card that jeopardized the booking, Pablo at reception was an absolute angel and not only helped me quickly and politely, but handled all of the paperwork and everything for me so I was able to get to work and waste no time

He updated me every step of the way and was incredibly kind and patient Pablo, you are the greatest and you saved my experience in Tampa Thank you! Lauren at reception, when my flight home was cancelled and my stay needed to be extended, made everything completely seamless and was so friendly, helpful, quick and kind This team is one of a kind and made the experience so easy and wonderfulJim at the Bay Breeze restaurant/bar – not only displays excellent customer service, menu knowledge, and everything you would expect from a dining experience; but also was a friendly, respectful and above-and-beyond conversationalist Not to mention incredible conflict resolution skills that made me feel very safe and confident enjoying my time thereThank you so much to this team, I can honestly say that the absolute best part of my entire trip to Tampa was the staff and experience at this Hilton location You guys are all amazing Keep it up!
