Great place to stay 1st floor room was quiet even though right next to elevator Room was clean and well equipped

Terrific staff was cheerful and helpful I appreciated their assistance with switching out a hair dryer Every evening the lobby had freshly baked cookies and lemonade The bold coffee at breakfast was terrific The well equipped gym had towels, mats, and was placed close to the lobby Free Internet, parking, and breakfast Ihighly recommend this as a place to stay

GWB

Def not a 3 star I’d say The rooms were smaller than expected but had a few good touches

The breakfast was fine Nothing bad or good Just very average The showers have very low water pressure I wouldn’t stay here again I think its above average hotel More of a 2 star Then 3 Just newer build The staff were nice Just little above average in my book

D Williams

This was not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in but it was pretty close The tv was inoperable for all of my 3 day stay I asked for assistance with it but they never came

The morning after my second request, I found out that the front desk person never created a ticket for itManagement does not have a handle on cleanliness Luckily, I came in with my own cleaning supplies There was hair in the sink and tub Stains on the toilet and the floor had lots of debris on it The two positives were that the air worked and the oatmeal at breakfast was decent

If you are looking for clean, kind staff, and affordable… go here !!! I stayed here for a few days and I plan on going back the next time I’m in town The front desk worker, Michelle I believe her name was, was absolutely amazing and helped me get a room almost instantly! Everyday I was given clean towels, more coffee replacements, and extra shampoos and conditioners Most affordable clean inn anywhere near the area and definitely recommend!

Damon Blane

I loved this hotel The staff was great The only thing I had an issue with was check in

I suggest with this hotel calling and letting them know if you’re going to be late so you won’t have any issues (my opinion) lucky for me I booked a room so I didn’t have any worries The room was definitely worth the price and i will be staying here again

Such a cool hotel!! My daughter and I stayed here for a night and both loved it The theme/decor is different from a lot of hotels you see in the area and was really fun The room was amazing, had everything we needed, and was really cute

Also the staff was very friendly and helpful both the night we checked in and in the morning when we left!

UPDATE 6/5/22: Two weeks after the stay, I realized my credit card was charged $46 two days after my stay for no reason (room was paid with points) My Marriott account, however, does not show any charges I called the property three times and GM Ellis was suppose to have called me back

He never did I did learn from a helpful front desk associate that their records do not show any charges either I am now disputing the random charge with Chase Check your bank or credit card statements for erroneous chargesPoor excuse for a Marriott property Everything is dingy from the lobby to the rooms Attempts to provide a modern ambience are overshadowed by lackluster amenities Will not be staying at another Aloft branded property On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and had great attitudes

Lindsey Ray

Edited to add: as of today, there is a pending deposit from AloftNot a great experience 2 nights of our 3 night stay we had no television

They came and looked at it and said they would fix but that never happened Our last night there, the shower head dripped and was hitting the metal drain pan I tried jusr closing the bathroom door but the rolling doors don’t close all the way A plastic piece of the door kept falling off but we could just put it back The chargers on the bedside tables seem like a great idea but they don’t fully charge even when on for 8 hrs Last day, our air conditioner couldn’t seem to get the room cool but maybe it was just so hot outside, it couldn’t keep upI told the lady at check out all of the issues and she was very nice and apologetic She said she didn’t have authority to really do anything about it and wrote it all down in a spiral and assured me someone would call No one did so I called a week later and spoke to front desk manger and she said we’d be refunded a night’s stay in 3-5 days Never happened I called again, still nothing Called and talked to GM,he assured me we would get the refund Never happened I have now left a couple messages and talked to a couple other people and while all mostly friendly, they are doing nothing I should have demanded it be taken care of at check out but I’ve honestly never dealt with such a shady hotel Our stay was Memorial weekend and still no resolution

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, and we’ve been to a lot The front desk staff was always very pleasant and helpful, and requests were tended to right away Our room was comfortable, spacious and very aesthetically pleasing

LOTS of counter and storage space everywhere and spacious vanity with bright lighting in the bathroom Whoever designed the layout and details of the rooms did a phenomenal job We couldn’t have been more comfortable except maybe a bit more seating options in our King room (the loveseat was too deep to be comfortable without lots of pillows) And as is with all the Marriott branded hotels, the bed was oh so comfy That’s our first requirement when looking for a hotelThe lobby was spacious and absolutely beautiful We ate at The Bistro, conveniently located in the lobby, and breakfast was amazing That’s the only meal we had since our stay was just one night After continuing on our journey and staying at the next hotel, we wished we could have stayed at this wonderful hotel the entire time We will definitely be back

Yolanda Y

The window in the room does not open so there is strong chemical/paint/furniture smells in the room Can smell it even when lying in bed trying to sleep The staff said that it’s for the safety of the guests but there are definitely better ways to protect the guests than making them feel trapped in the room they pay for

Told the management but they did nothing Would not recommend staying here

Cheryl Roberson

Pros: spacious, updated, bed is comfortable, pillows were comfortable and the staff was incredibly niceCons: NOISY! So incredibly noisy The soffit, above the bed, hold the pipes for the rooms above, so anytime someone flushed the toilet you heard it

The walls are incredibly thin! You can hear the TV in the room next doorI’d stay here again, in a pinch, but it wouldn’t be my first pick

Excellent hotel Hotel was clean, modern and comfortable The room was cozy and the bed was super comfortable

Really liked the room layout Hotel lobby and staff were nice also My only complaint is not having a safe in the room Other than that everything was great, even the view from the room was nice Location is good Parking is well lit and felt safe

Kaychia Clark

Great hotel! I enjoyed my stay It was clean, comfortable, and great service Great for people who are in town on business

The lobby is set up in a way where you can work and feel comfortable Also have a small bar in the lobby which is very nice if you do feel like having a drink In addition, it’s in a great location with stores and restaurants close by I asked for a late checkout because I had a conference call at the exact time I was supposed to checkout and the staff was very accommodating My only complaint is the bed was very uncomfortable for me I woke up with some back pain Other than that, nice hotel 🏨

Linda K. Riles

The hotel was super clean I would’ve given a 5 for facility and a 4 for roomsIt was the shower floors that was messed up in 3 different rooms that we asked to be moved to

We gave up and settled for one(we were exhausted)But Miriam, front desk customer Assistant was STELLAR She hung in there with us making sure we were satisfied So patient, cordial, understanding and apologeticOverall, its really a nice location and nice clean environmentThank you Miriam for free breakfast 😋 😄🙏🏾

Stayed three days on a business trip The staff was great Very friendly and helped get multiple rooms on the same floor

The rooms are really nice, with comfortable beds The facilities over all where really nice Now the shower in the room was the worst To management when I left, so hopefully the will fix It is all clogged with hard water deposits Take 5 minutes to try and wash shampoo out of hair and conditioner forget it The breakfast is the worst I have ever seen Noticed I did not say eaten The sausage gravy for Biscuits was half full 5 minutes into the start of breakfast It looked like it was sitting in the warmer from the day before Had dried out and they added a bunch of water to dilute the congealed mess The waffles oh one the great things about hotel breakfast Well the add extra water to the mix to stretch it The waffle are crispy ok nothing but crispy The soft fluffy inside is nonexistent This was the food I put on my plate One bite and decided not to eat The eggs looks dried out and very unappealing All three days I looked at the breakfast and was extremely disappointed Ended up skipping breakfast everyday

My husband, son and I booked this hotel for 4 nights based on other wonderful stays we’ve had at homewood suites I paid up front non-refundable as I assumed our stay would be the same however, it was notOur room was not clean

The shower head had pink mold, the sink was broken, hairdryer was broken, there were ants in the room The first night we killed over 6 ants in our room, including one on my arm as I sat on the couch The second night my son woke up at 3am with ants crawling on him The next morning there were several ants on our bed I have pictures of all of thisNot only that, the second night, from 2-4:30am whomever was in the room next to ours was blaring music and going in and out of the room, pounding on the door every time to get back inThe next morning I went to the front desk to let them know our experience and although I was offered a different room, was unwilling to take it based on the condition of our room We asked for a refund and let the lady at the front desk we were leaving She said it wasn’t refundable and gave me a number to call for additional helpI called the number The rep said they would speak with the hotel manager and would take care of a refund I should hear from someone within 48 hours I received an email confirmation with a case number (the email said I’d hear back within 3days though) Today has been over 3days so I called the number again and spoke w/Roxanne She said she couldn’t figure out what was going on and transferred me directly to the hotel manager Unfortunately Roxanne connected me to a hotel in Maryland w/a rude hotel manager I hung up, called customer service again and spoke w/Abby who told me I needed to wait longer for a resolution-at least 5 days I was sent a final bill from the hotel today and nothing was refundedI expect more from Hilton…severely disappointed

Mary Dudley

I have stayed at this exact location multiple times Because of my disability we always get the same room Room was clean, front desk staff and housekeeping were all awesome as usual

We love this hotel Lately, 2 things have ruined our stay The pool was extremely dirty, and I mean cloudy and gritty Gross The next thing may possibly make me never go back The people serving breakfast are rude, like you are inconveniencing them Also, we went to breakfast about an hour before it closes and everything was about gone When we asked the person rolled their eyes and walked away We came back 30 minutes later and everything was gone They shut down breakfast early and the person we asked about food earlier was walking out the door with her purse on Next day, breakfast was closed down 15 minutes early and another customer was speaking to the staff and was told when the food is gone its gone They put stuff out first thing in the morning and that’s it The customer was irate and the staff member couldn’t care less Breakfast problems and rude staff are a deal breaker I’ve been loyal to this place, but I probably won’t go back I’ve got hungry kids and no patience for rude people on the job

The night we came the customer service was awesome The rooms were nice and clean Where it turns around is when I turned on the shower, it was cold all the way around

I called the front and the lady was very sweet, but still no hot water Now today, when we went to get breakfast, it was a miscommunication about breakfast times, the guy who we the was a guest came up to us from outside asking us what’s going on The rudeness came in when he ran up on us and never identified himself He had on a hoodie and tennis shoes We just got coffee and left I’m not too big on others reviews, however they were not lying They need a better system

Michelle Hernandez

The room was fine The bathroom had a weird and somewhat uncomfortable, but forgivable, layout However, the staff were unprofessional and, most of the time, nowhere to be found

The WiFi was spotty at best The free breakfast cost nothing and was worth the price The eggs and the juice were all gross, especially the orange juice The waffle machine left the waffles undercooked, and we spent our whole breakfast swatting away flies Oh, and the lobby and elevators were like a sauna! Overall, I’d say it’s a place to stay just to rest your bones at night and take a shower in the morning, but I can’t give it credit for much else

Bharat Ramakrishnappa

Bad Stayed 3 nights No house keeping

The staff deserves a 10 We were here 3 weeks, so they began to feel like family Whether we needed quarters for the laundry room or didn’t see a favorite item on the breakfast buffet, they were gracious to accommodate the need

Kept the facility clean and up to dateThe only reason I deducted one point was because of the trains Whoever chose the site didn’t factor in the railroad tracks parallel to the motel and roadway I am a light sleeper, and was awakened about once a night by a train whistle

MaryAnn

I have stayed in a dozen or more La Quinta and Wyndham hotels, and this location is the best for staff courtesy and helpfulnessWell managed, clean and quiet Convenient location

All staff members were cordial and responsive Thanks to all for great customer serviceSpecial thanks to Eric, Richard, Vera, as well as Jake and Sabrina for taking the extra steps to ensure a pleasant stay

This place is very nice Not sure why it’s only a 2 star, it’s as nice as (or better) than some 3’s Very clean, modern, nice sized rooms, comfy beds, pool, etc

Staff at check-in were wonderful There’s a small bar if you want a beer or a drink Not too far off the interstate Restaurants, coffee shop and gas stations nearby Nice place, I would certainly stay again

My husband and I stayed two nights here for our 51st wedding anniversary We’re so glad we found this gorgeous, spectacular gem of a B&B The property, the accommodations, the amenities, the decor, the delicious breakfast and how personable Luey and Norris were just topped off our getaway

Everything is first class!! They even did something special for us for our anniversary, which we appreciated very much! It’s the perfect location, away from the city, but close enough to shopping and restaurants We are definitely coming back We absolutely LOVE this place

The property is beautiful with an amazing front lawn perfect for lawn games (like pickup soccer or croquet / pall mall) The hostess is most welcoming and offers a hearty breakfast to guests Our party loved the outdoor swings and rocking chairs on the porch

Don’t forget to enjoy the free beverages and cookies that the hostess has on stock in the kitchen – super thoughtful! We loved it and can’t wait to go backI want to express my warmest thanks to the family that operates the Plantation Inn Boutique Home – it was a pleasure to make your acquaintanceMost sincerely,Alison Smith

We had our family vacation a week ago for 2 nights 3 days Our girls had so much fun, the rooms are so nice and clean, the water park is huge We had so much fun! The arcade was the best, we did the escape room, did bowling night and we ate dinner there

Everything was just perfect for our mini vacation That my girl’s want to go backgreat great place for your family!

Jamie P.

The water park and outdoor pool area were both amazing! Our family had a blast! My review is more concerning the hotel and dining experienceFood and drinks were decent, but you will pay arena prices Highly suggest going to HEB down the street and picking up snacks and bottled water

The room (we had a 2 bed/2 bath) was new and clean, but a bit sparse in decoration I am curious as to why ice buckets are unavailable as it is hard to keep it solid with just a plastic bagHousekeeping did not make it into our room once during our 4 nights/3 days trip We were out of our room plenty of times for them to take advantage of cleaning and tidying up We finally just called down for fresh items to be delivered We had turn down service included in our VIP package but that never happened We also had housekeeping knock on our door the morning of our final day and ask when we were leaving Our package included a 2:00 pm check out so shouldn’t this be something that they are already aware of?

Lilly Defee

It was a great time The food was good It was a little pricey, but you expect that at places like this

When the food and service are good, you don’t mind the price so bad I would have personally liked more lighting, especially in the bathroom Makes it difficult for applying makeup I think the bungalows should have had a lower price if you are an overnight guest We all had a really good time Thank you!🤗🤗

The staff was incredible! From the front desk to the wonderful people who cleaned the rooms I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived We were traveling from Georgia, so when I had looked up the room on booking

com i was so nervous the microtel would be a dump, considering how low the price was compared to the hotels surrounding this one But it was the complete opposite Everything about this hotel surpassed my expectations The staff was amazing, the lobby and rooms were so clean, the beds were comfortable, any questions we had was responded to in the nicest of manners I highly recommend this place! You won’t find anything else this nice for the money you spend

Tasha R

It was a good location and quite Even with the room being directly across from the elevator we were not able to hear any noise outside the room Linens and towels were clean and well maintained

I will say that the room was hot when we first got in and didn’t cool down to a tolerable temp until the middle of the night The room had an odor as if someone had smoked in it but that was mitigated with a candle The mattress was VERY firm and not comfortable for me as a prefer something softer The site noted that the would be a microwave and mini fridge in the room but there was none so leftovers that we had spoiled and had to be thrown out

This hotel was great! My mother and I were visiting family near by to deliver Christmas gifts about 2 weeks before Christmas so we could avoid holiday traffic Both of my parents are retired military so, as I’m sure you can assume, we moved a lot and stayed in hotels frequentlyUpon checking in they were friendly, and even offered to help carry our things upstairs

We noticed that it was very crowed, but that’s ok When we got to the room it was clean, nice, and comfortable too During the night it was quiet which was very nice considering I have insomnia, and am a light sleeperThis hotel was a blessing in disguise because the night before we stayed in a best western inn plus in George town, and it was horrible The best western inn was loud all night and the staff did nothing about it So with thing one being so quiet it was very nice, and I finally got some sleep on our tripMy mother also learned that this hotel is a family owned one, and i just wanted to say its 100% worth it and so nice Its a even distance between all my family members that live down there too So whenever my mom and I need to visit family down there we know where we will be staying from now on, right here at Taylor Village Inn and Suites!

An affordable place with a heart for extended stay around Austin T (short for Te Aisha) at the front desk made all the difference She was super helpful, supportive and kind

We felt deeply grateful for her exceptional caring service from the heart As for the room – it was clean and equipped with a good size fridge, microwave, 2 burners and a Keurig coffee maker In addition to the beds it was helpful to have a desk with a chair where we could work and a sofa with a table where we could sit and eat We got extra towels and other supplies as needed Air condition was noisy but cooled the room well The one issue I had was the windows don’t open so I couldn’t let in fresh air, sadly that’s something that seems to become the norm in hotels and for me it felt like there was not enough oxygen in the room We made use of the washer and dryer and the conference room as needed Altogether this place is serving it’s purpose in the best way possible and I recommend it

It’s clean and hip Staff was nice I would have given it 5 stars but they didn’t have kitchen tools to use

They have a small kitchenette but don’t have tools to use I have to purchase my own plates, cups, utensils, pan, etc It would be nice to have some of the basic stuff at least Also the person above me, not sure if they’re moving in or what but it’s almost non stop movements that we can hear from below

It started with one hour early check-in which was the only good thing to say about our stay After that, we were notified of shortage of staff and room service is not available everyday This is a deal breaker

Having so many other options to stay, the reason we chose this hotel over AirBnb was room service and breakfast We did not get room service for our entire stay of 3 nights We put the garbage outside of the room and no one picked up the garbage Breakfast: didn’t have vegetarian option except milk and cereals No breads or bagels Juice machine was broken as if it’s a thing in hotels nowadays I haven’t had this bad experience at other Marriott properties 1 star is because of room size

The hotel is very old and stale The carpet is filthy We only stayed one night because we couldn’t get out money back, but had to cancel our other night because we could not tolerate the filth

I probably used an entire bottle of Lysol trying to disinfect the room Did I say the carpet is filthy, the bathroom floor was disgusting, the pillow cases were dirty Even the free lotion that every hotel provides looked 1980ish The rooms are super small I have stayed in a Motel 8 and that hotel was better than this hotel I’m not going to get started on the subpar breakfast Muffins smelled like play dough I could go on and on, but do not pay anything more than $75/night for this hotel Trust me, you will be highly disappointed I hope that my negative review will motivate management to fix the problem

The hotel was filthy and it seems like Marriott retrofitted an old hotel into its chain The room amenities did not work as expected The fridge leaked water in the room floors, the microwave did not work and the ac/heat were either too hot or cold

It could not be controlled We just stayed there for a night but it was probably my least favorite stay in a Marriott chain I would not recommend it to anyone

Beautiful hotel, at a good location for us Lot of artwork, memorabilia located in and around the building Our room was mostly nice

The patio was very nice to sit outside in the evening The pool area was very nice as well The lobby and breakfast area was well situated and comfortable Some breakfast items were not always available for long periods of time before they could bring more The staff was mostly helpful On the downside, the lobby men’s room was out of soap and tissues, for the 2 day that I was there This seemed to be story of most of the building Many of the hand sanitizers were empty We had to ask the front desk due to no towels at the swimming pool They got some out there in about 15 minutes Housekeeping was not doing daily cleaning of the rooms I assume due to the pandemic situation They have to sure what they need to do, but some plan as to getting towels exchanged, trash pick-up would have been good to know

I just spent the past week here for a work trip I appreciated the location, and I had plenty of space in my room The fridge, microwave, and kitchen sink were all super helpful to have

Unfortunately, the kitchen sink in my room leaked water My room was next to the laundry room, so I’m not sure if that was the reason for having NO water pressure in the shower- like water trickled out of the shower head, and the hot water knob on the bathroom faucet did not turn on The front desk worker was irritated when I requested housekeeping for each day of my stay The housekeeper did a nice job on the days that they came but my room didn’t get done one day even though it was on the schedule The one elevator’s buttons were stuck and hard to work and a lot of people’s trash was left out in the hallways for a really long time The gym was nice and not busy at all I’d stay here again if my company needed me to stay here again, but I will definitely vocalize my room issues in the future if there are any

This is an average suites hotel at best, similar to La Quinta Inns level This place is OVER-PRICED They charge like a 4-star hotel

We were looking forward to great experience after seeing reviews and were utterly disappointed I question the authenticity of some of those reviewsProblems: Beds & pillows not comfortable, pool unclean (our child developed skin rash!), dogs barking next door People leaving their garbage outside the doors instead of housekeeping staff going to rooms and picking We had not seen that in hotels costing half of what this Homewood charged usIn short, we would not recommend this place
