Great place to stay We were here in August for 8 days We were attending a convention at another hotel

We stayed here because we wanted a kitchenette Our room was perfect for the 2 of us Spacious to get around the room Kitchenette was great They do not do housekeeping on a regular basis, you have to request it That was fine with us If we ever needed anything we just went to the front desk and they would give it to us right away like toilet paper or fresh towels Also, that part of town was very quiet I would stay here again

P Russell

Great room here The door staff are so friendly and professional! Some amenities are not available I feel the front desk is understaffed due to the line and frantic looking reception

It was odd there were no coat hangers in my room so had to have housekeeping bring me some (I could not just get a couple at the front desk) That took a while to happen There is something slightly “off” with the elevators, but not sure what The doors were either overly sensitive to bodies being close to them or they kept changing their minds about closing and starting the journeyI don’t know Excellent location! There is a trolley right outside and it is an easy walk to bourbon street and that sort of scene I had a great view from my room of old and new buildings

Brent M

We stayed here this past week on a business trip and the hotel did not disappoint The front desk staff was courteous and was able to accommodate a late checkout without any issues to help with our schedule The only downside is the fine print of the valet parking slip that says any check out after 2pm requires a $20 cash donation to the valet company to get your car back

Although this service is separate from Residence, the front desk staff went above and beyond to help resolve I would recommend staying here solely for the customer service, even though the hotel itself is very nice

Stayed here for several nights for an anniversary Money well spent It is far enough away to not be too loud

The staff is super friendly and helpful They will tell you where to go–what is safe and what is not The hotel is pretty classy Has a valet so you don’t have to worry about parking Rooms are clean, but the bathroom needed a little work (door was water damaged) but these buildings are old and perhaps it cannot be helped The balcony is cool if you want to hang out and watch it all happen but it’s a little far from bourbon itself so you’re mostly seeing people get into and out of their cars to head into bourbon street, than watching the action itself Has a nice restaurant and bar with a friendly bartender

Ry B

Stayed here for our anniversary It was a really nice place They got you covered for parking and will park your car for you in their garage

The staff was all super friendly and efficient The security made our family feel safe and gave us great tips for the city at night The room was nice I love that this place feels like NOLA and not a generic hotel Rooms were quiet and the noise from the street didn’t go into the room I liked it and would stay there again

chasity robertson

I would give 10 stars if I could Pulling up to Place d’Armes is made to be a dream Valet parking is immediately available and they hold your car for 24 hours or the duration of your stay

You can come and go with no change in the price You’re greeted at the front desk by warm, smiling, and welcoming staff Stewart, the bell hop, is amazing and incredibly helpful So kind and generous and ready to help They give you a tour of the historic hotel as they walk you to your roomOnce we got to our room, an expansive, and GORGEOUS space, Stewart brought our bags and some ice up to help us get settled in He also gave us coupons to some amazing lunch spots in the French Quarter The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were large and well lit, and the balcony overlooking the smaller courtyard was absolutely beautiful The pool was clean and clearly maintained well, as was everything at this hotel The back balcony overlooks Jackson Square and is great for people watching Even with such close and easy accessibility to everything the Quarter has to offer, we slept like babies Never heard a thing while in the courtyard, almost as if we weren’t even in the center of the QuarterWe’ve stayed in other hotels in the Quarter, but absolutely nothing compares to the quiet charm, accessibility AND seclusion, beauty and service of Place d’Armes This hotel sets a high bar

Kelli List

I just stayed here for two days and couldn’t have been more pleased The location was amazing (1/2 block from Jackson Square), and you can’t beat the price in the French Quarter The hotel and our room were charming and very clean

There is a quiet courtyard, which unfortunately we didn’t get to use because of the weather Everyone was very friendly, helpful and professional I loved that I could just leave my car in their garage and see the area on foot I’d definitely stay here again!

Kristen Campbell

This hotel is in the very best location and was at the center of everything that is a must see in the French Quarter! Our room was very nice and the bed was super comfortable! The courtyards are peaceful and the pool was very nice as well Andrew the bellhop was very helpful with storing our luggage on the day of arrival until our room was ready and even stored our luggage after checkout until it was time to leave for the airport We wont stay anywhere else when coming back to New Orleans!

We love the IHG brand so we booked a 7 night stay and were so happy with the accommodations we extended another 4 nights! We had a little trouble our first night and Karin did everything she could to make it right and she DID! The rooms and baths are spacious Hotel views are lovely Beds are comfortable

And the BEST fried chicken (trust me!) is available across the street at Brother’s Hotel is walking distance to some great spots on Magazine St (District Donuts, Aidan Gill, Gris-Gris, Lily’s Nails) and the Streetcar is right outside the front door So glad we discovered Hotel Indigo!

miranda guerra

Great stay! I highly recommend the Babins bar & bistro downstairs it has great breakfast and service Steven the manager was very helpful (he gave great recommendations for places to visit) The young Colombian server was thoughtful and attentive in her service

Regarding the rooms and bathrooms they were clean and comfortable This hotel is located in a great spot! Overall I’d book again

Curtis McGhee Jr.

Even though we only stayed here one night during our vacation, it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, especially in New Orleans The room was beautiful, as you can see below Also, we enjoyed having a valet parking because there really isn’t anywhere to park on the side of the street

Overall, a great place to stay We will probably stay at Hotel Indigo again if we visit New Orleans again

Pros: LOCATION–the location is absolutely superb if you want to see the French Quarter The hotel is well-appointed, nice lobby and courtyard with a pool The Bourbon O Bar was fun the one night it was open

Our room was on the opposite side from Bourbon St so it was quiet We did not hear street noise at all Staff was very friendly and professionalCons: Ridiculously understaffed The staff was professional and helpful, but they clearly are overworked For what we paid, it is insane to not provide any housekeeping Couldn’t get extra soap or toilet paper On one day, the lobby was filed with people waiting to check-in, but apparently there were no clean rooms They really need to step up their game–it would be sad to see such a beautiful and historic property go downhill

Jamie Baleno

Surprisingly clean and beautiful hotel right in the middle of the French Quarter Staff was friendly and accommodating There is a bar and restaurant attached and a lovely courtyard pool for cooling off after a hot day walking and touring the French Quarter

Our room had a walk out to the pool and was cool and clean A central location which made it perfect for exploring Upgraded toiletries in the bathroom as well Would definitely stay here again as it was quiet and I did not hear any street noise

Carrie McCorkle

Such a beautiful hotel with a interesting history! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful We had a room that overlooked the courtyard It was very quiet! We never heard any noise from outside

The hotel is in a great location Right off of Bourbon Street, right by Jackson Square and the St Louis Cathedral and everything else was within reasonable walking distance The hotel and courtyard were very clean The room was also clean upon check-in, except for the container of food left in the mini fridge The pool was nice & refreshing, especially after walking around in the NOLA heat and humidity! Overall, we were very happy with our stay & would stay at Bourbon Orleans again, the next time we visit New Orleans!

Much better option than most air bnb, more affordable and more accommodatingThe staff was excellent, very accommodating and knowledgeable The location is near perfect situated between the quarters and Frenchmen st, right across the street from Amelie’s cafe (highly recommend)

The rooms are rustic and cozy, the outdoor seating area is very nice in the mornings I would stay again

mel c

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Andrew Jackson We stayed in room 208 which is rumored to be haunted, but no spirits were seen/heard (bummer for me) Sennit the concierge is the best, he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed

This is an older building so if you go in expecting the Hilton, don’t go, it’s not for you It is however historical and right up my alley One block off of Bourbon so we didn’t have the noise from there There is a lovely courtyard with tables and a quaint fountain

Casey Russell

Awesome experience, amazing people, gorgeous views This hotel takes you back in time to a place where patriotism and southern charm are the norm The area is fantastic

Close to everything Awesome walk out balcony suite WW2 Museum is amazing Makes you remember a time when people fought for the same outcome even though they shared different principles What a great hotel and excellent timeSee Sennit or Vin at the front desk Both are exceptional individualsIf you’re looking for a piece of history this is the place Courtyard fountain is great as well

Lady at front Courtney was so nice and inviting She made us so comfortable She let us check in early and gave us a upgrade second night with a balcony

Amanda at the bar made us some killer good long island teas The trolley stops at your front door everything is close walking distance Perfect location and far enough away from bourbon so you get quite sleep We definitely will be back

Betsy MM

A colleague and I were in NOLA for a conference and landed at this hotel due to rates being incredibly reasonable for a five night stay It is centrally located, super walkable to just about anything and we loved that a Starbucks, Cafe Beignet and the Trolley stop were just steps awayThe front desk staff are ALL incredibly friendly and welcoming

Even with navigating a slew of check-in’s they were all very pleasant I have status with Marriott, so I was able to check into my room at 2PM My colleague was not able to check in until roughly 4:30PM so be aware of the 4PM check-in I imagine if they are short staffed, like the rest of the planet, that would account for even the delay in getting in your room by 4I had a King room, that was plenty big, clean and well decorated with everything in working order My sleep quality was amazing, the AC worked great and the beds/pillows were dreamy My colleague did mention that his room was much smaller than mine, but comfortableWe had a drink at the bar one evening that was deliciously made; plenty of signature NOLA cocktails to choose from We were in and out of the hotel over 5 days and never had any negative experience I would absolutely stay at this hotel again!

Brittany Bowers

Great water pressure and temperature in the shower for those late night showers after Bourbon St Pretty good selection in the market shop in the lobby Didn’t try the on site Bistro or Starbucks while visiting (always woke up too late or arrived back in too late lol) Friendly staff

Shout outs to the night shift front lobby receptionists for being available to let me shop for a late night snack Housekeeping was fantastic as well Room was clean for our 4 night stay

Ray is a first rate host and the location is ideal!! So many walkable restaurants and Garden District exploration as well as a short walk to the streetcar stops for a quick easy ride to the quarter Ray provides helpful information for transportation and favorite restaurant lists Will recommend to friends and stay our next time in town

Beverlee Keasling

This was by far the most amazing stay I have ever had Not only was the B&B spotless, but it had such a homey feel The hostess was so sweet and provided us with so much info on the best restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc

She even provided me with Taxi numbers when we got stranded downtown in the rain They were literally the best When we make our way back down to New Orleans we WILL stay again

Ashley Miranda

I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I visit Not only is the house itself and its accommodations absolutely beautiful, the hosts are truly wonderful people We felt welcomed and at home right away

I’m no stranger to southern hospitality, but this place takes it to a new level If you want a feel of the soul of New Orleans, don’t miss out on this gem!

Wendy Hiller

We really had a nice stay The hotel is made up of several historical buildings on both sides of the streets The lobby is nice and the staff were fantastic! Our only issue was with a few things in our room

For $200 a night, we might expect the dust ruffle tear to be repaired, the smoke alarm to be fixed to the ceiling and a sink drain that wasn’t clogged Other than those things, our room was nice The beds were very comfortable and we had a little coffee pot, microwave and fridge which was nice Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Lauren Serb

Wasn’t sure what rating I wanted to give this place The staff was wonderful Truly

So helpful and friendly The location was wonderful In the quarter but just far away enough from bourbon st that it’s nice It’s just a shame the quality/condition of the rooms It’s not that they’re dirty (I think the cleaning staff does the best they can with time and what they have to work with), but the rooms need a deep scrub, some paint and a little TLC In fact, so do the courtyards and pools This hotel has the potential to be a seriously cute boutique-type of place But it’s like the owners don’t really want to put the money back into it or something And it’s a shame cause it could be so much more than what it is now especially with the staff they have working for them now

Andrea Acosta

Location was great as you are in the French Quarter but off of the busy party streets Building was old so condition was a bit rough, but they are 200-300 years old So that is to be expected

Beds were comfortable Our room was upgraded I booked about 10 months before and got a great price through Hotelscom Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful With the exception of one night person Gates were locked at night for safety I would be curious to stay somewhere else in a future trip, but would also stay here again

J Parker

At first this place was great from what I saw of the pictures and how close it was to everything in the French Quarter It was well priced and had cute little rooms But me and my wife ended up with 10-15 bed bug bites between the two of us

Floors looked like they hadn’t been swept, and had fruit flies in the bathroom I loved the place for the history in it, but it was sub-standard in the clean department

Christina He’bert

Everything was perfect! The entrance keycard lock, extra locks on the room door, the incredible staff

literally each member we met on all shifts were exceptional, cleanliness, historic beauty, perfect locationquiet but so close to everything, nice little patio, safe quiet rooms beautifully decorated, and although there was not a room fridge and microwave, they were both available in the lobby with coffee and tea, and with the ice chest, the collapsible cooler we brought was perfect The help and advice of the amazing staff was what truly made our trip though!

Samantha Lovato

We stayed here during Mardi Gras and it was very convincing being able to be in walking distance of everything We had to switch rooms because the battery died on our room lock The staff member on duty went to the corner store to get batteries for us but still couldn’t get it to turn on ( I joked saying maybe the ghost ran down the battery and doesn’t want us to get in our room) we were able to switch rooms which had a much better water pressure

The staff is amazing everyone is friendly and they really try and make your stay pleasant My only complaint would be if you get a room across the street from the main lobby the water pressure is not good and it takes awhile for water to get hot but it is a historic building so that should be expected The rooms inside the main building are better which is where we moved too If you do get a room across the street the courtyard is beautiful and the fountain is very nice We enjoyed sitting out there before we moved rooms Would recommend

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a room This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I’m sure! The hotel service and staff were very accommodating We had a family emergency and the hotel management handled everything and made our stay comfortable and carefree Thank you for the very clean room, hotel hospitality, good restaurant food and great customer service I will definitely visit again!!!

dolly Salcedo (Dollface)

Room was clean did have an issue with the toilet first it was leaking then it wouldn’t flush but both issues were resolved the same day Relatively close to everything, did see a lot of homeless people around the park front of hotel, cable car stop and bus stop next to hotel Overall service was good

The pool was open which was great because I had been informed after I had booked that it was closed Do wish the pool was bigger though, it was more of a watering hole size no deeper than 45 feet So there was a family the size of 9 and another group of 3 people and that pretty much took over the pool leaving no actual room for swimming

Rachel Kahler

Our initial room had a clogged sink The staff were super prompt getting maintenance to the room, and when they were unable to fix the sink, they immediately got us a new room The maintenance guys were super helpful in getting us new keys while we gathered our stuff

The bar is a great feature of the hotel The rooms themselves were pretty basic, which was what we expected They were clean and the bed was comfortable However, the toilet was a bit wobbly, which I suspect is due to replacing an old toilet with a slightly different sized one, and one of the bolt holes on the floor was slightly too big or the bolt was loose Also, the shower curtain rod was curved while the tub wasn’t No big deal, but it meant that the curtain tended to slide open on either end The curtain still kept the water in, but it made me a bit paranoid that I was making the floor wet

I stayed here for one night and flew in kind of late A lovely man greeted me at the gate and checked me in He was very nice and gave me a whole rundown of the place

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel type place If you have never stayed at a historic place before you’ll might be surprised However given the age of the house, it is well kept up Linens are clean, shower was spotless, and hot water! The walls are a little thin but the other guests were quiet and I had no issues sleeping There is breakfast but I left too early to enjoy it Overall a good experience I definitely recommend trying it out for an authentic Victorian house feel!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when i booked this room, because the reviews were so mixed But I’m not sure some reviewers knew what they were booking This is not a chain hotel with pristine rooms and full amenities

Think “visiting my friend in NOLA with a couple spare rooms in their grandma’s house”It’s a house that’s almost 200 years old It has window units for heat/ac, paint is peeling, the bathroom doors don’t always latch It’s not maintained like a fancy old country club – but they’re also not charging country club pricesI’ve seen some complaints about the size and quality of the TV’s- if you’re going to watch TV in the hotel room, what are you even doing in NOLA?Very convenient to public transit and lots of great bars and restaurants within walking distance as well It also felt pretty safe to walk the neighborhoodBreakfast was good, continental style Fresh king cake every morning, a selection of bagels and breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, plus a hot dish on weekendsThe staff here really shines and that’s something you just don’t get at chain hotels Everyone is super helpful and welcoming with lots of great information about the town and how to get around It really felt like we were treated as friends from the time we checked inFor the price point and location this is a fantastic spot to stay Manage your expectations and enjoy this quirky hidden gem with lots of charm

Great location and a neat old building (1841!) Creaky floors and thin walls, but none of that was a problem – just know it’s old! Room was fine and breakfast was varied and ample It’s a block from the streetcar line to the French Quarter, but the streetcars were so full that we walked both ways with no issues

So happy to have secure parking!

We stayed here after purchasing a discount vacation deal at Cabela’s and you have to at some point go through the timeshare presentation that is about 2-2 1/2 hours long We did not purchaseThe hotel was itself was pretty nice

The room was like a mini apartment almost One bedroom, then a living room area, bathroom and a small kitchen area with dishes providedThe furniture is nice all overCheck out the rooftop patio, it is a nice place to relax, see some of the action down in the street from above and enjoy a drink or 5Some of the stuff is kind of cheaply constructed in the rooms like the towel racks fell constantly because they weren’t measured to be installed right, water pressure in general was not greatThe staff were all amazing and made us feel very welcome during our visit The front desk girls are sweet & hilarious

Frank Maniaci

The room is worth it if you are staying as part of a bluegreen vacation promotional offer The water gets cut off here periodically, but with the area being poor there’s only so much the critical infrastructure can do around here The appliances were cheap and didn’t work well, there was no dishwasher and they expect you to clean up the dishes

They have a sign on the door that says you need to do half of room service’s job for them The room service is barely what’s needed to keep this place going This company is run by shareholders and I really felt like an asset more than a customer here There were bed bugs on my bed too I have stayed in so many cheap hotels, and I have never encountered this before What little staff they had was friendly and the hotel had a historic feel to it Normally I don’t write reviews because I stay in places that are adequate so why give a 3 star review? But this place is a well deserved 1 star

Pat Patterson

Had problems with plumbing Only real warm or hot water available Refrigerator wouldn’t cool properly

Freezer did not work Housekeeping not available yet Called a number of times to pick up bagged trash, no one came Had to take trash to lobbyAll the staff, however, were friendly

Stayed here for a long weekend get away and it was everything we hoped for and more! Such a charming, boutique vibe You get the feel of the history of the building, but with wonderful modern updates We stayed in the Queen Balcony and had a great view of the street

Absolutely great location if you want access to good music – the whole street comes alive at night! So many great clubs to check out Also highly walkable to the Trolley and other parts of the French Quarter BUT WARNING- it is loud at night!! If you are looking to go to bed earlier, maybe not the place for you But our room was supposedly the most exposed to music- they gave us ear plugs, and we used the in room speakers to put on white noise, and had no trouble sleeping And finally, everyone that worked there was so kind and accommodating Gave great tips and so so nice Would definitely stay again!

My first time to New Orleans and I couldn’t pick a better place The room was very comfortable and we had a balcony! It was minutes away from anything and the rail to downtown was a block away All of the staff was great

It has a great little lobby, I loved the pool area and it is a block away from great music! Unfortunately the bar wasn’t open when we were there but that would have been the icing on the cake Still a wonderful time and a wonderful place with a bohemian feel!

Tyler Robinson

The hotel was renovated and just reopened with new ownership It is such a cool vibe with beautifully furnished rooms, a hip lobby and a cute little pool area The bed was super comfortable

The bartenders make great drinks at the bar/music venue, and the upstairs bar is a nice private little escapeAwesome little escape from the Frenchmen Street action

A beautiful hotel conveniently located at the edge of the French Quarter Within walking distance of most everything but still quiet The courtyard was lovely too

The reasons I’m not giving a full rating are:1 Water pressure was hit or miss so showering and even washing our hands was occasionally frustrating At one point it was so low though that it seemed our toilet had clogged but it just couldn’t flush because of the low pressure When we asked for a plunger it should be noted that the woman who helped us offered incredible service2 The pool looked rather dingy Despite it being February and in an open courtyard, I would’ve wanted to try it out (heated saltwater) but it looked less than clean3 The heat/AC barely worked if at all4 Despite the signs posted on the lobby doors asking for everyone to wear masks inside, the front desk staff did not wear masks most of the timeStill, we had a nice stay overall and I might book it again anyways if mostly for the location

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any stay They compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in the area

I have been staying here for years If you stay for a few nights you will love it I’m sure!I have no complaints about this hotel It’s 2 blocks from Bourbon St, it’s an older hotel and it shows, but that doesn’t take away from the comfort of the rooms and hospitality of the staff The valet, Cory, was extremely nice and helpful We arrived earlier than check-in time, but he helped unload our luggage and kept it until our room was ready He parked the car while we explored the French Quarter on foot When we checked in a few hours later, our bags were in the room already It was a great experience and if I ever visit New Orleans again, this is where I’ll stay

Friendly staff, great location, great on property entertainment and bar Quick walk to bourbon street which you can see from the hotel entrance Reggae bar located at end of street not even a one minute walk, also an Irish pub located directly on the corner across the street from the hotel perfect locations

The location of this hotel was perfect for Bourbon Street fun without all the loudPartying when you ready to call it a night The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the somewhat old smell which was to be expected, pictures did not totally depict the hotel as I expected The hotel room was a double however it was actually small/ tight, I did have a view of the pool area, the windows however did not open I’m guessing due to safety You are required to pay deposit which is normal and if you choose there is valet on the property which I believe is $48 a night or when you check out they can just take it from your hotel deposit I stayed on the second floor and used the elevators without any issues except for the scary sound, which caused me to take the stairs to my second floor room I was actually looking for a hotel that truly had decorations of the New Orleans type feel which I did not get from this hotel If I had to visit again I would not stay at this location, I personally think that you’re paying more for location because it did not offer any quality This is my opinion of my stay, I wish you all the best doing your visit here

Great place to stay The staff are attentive an accommodating The rooms have the feel like stepping back in time, while still being updated

The hotel bar is great, with a nice courtyard in the back My only complaint is that the drinks are a bit high, but what isn’t these daysIt is a quick walk to many other great bars and restaurants, and they have parking for guests in the back if needed

melissa hicks

I would have loved to give 5 stars however, for the price they we paid There could at least been hot water in the shower and any kind of water in the bathroom sink No one came to change towels or collect trash cans

The location is Amazing and the room was nice The view was fantastic But for the cost I do expect the basics like hot water
