Terrible management!! There’s a few staff members that are awesome, but the GM refused to reimburse me for overpaid taxes after I paid over $7,000 within 4 months I also asked if he would write a letter confirming we were permanent residents there so that I could get Texas Rent Relief help, to which he refused because “it has to do with the government and he didn’t want to get in trouble” He completely missed that the point of the TRR letter I needed would secure GUARANTEED payment in full for up to 3 months Sounds like there’s some stuff he fees like he’d be in more trouble for regarding those taxes he refused to pay back

The next morning, cops were knocked on our door forcing us to leave, illegally!!

I had been staying there for a few months with no issues everything had been fine Brittany at the front desk is great, Candy the housekeeper was awesome But I noticed that someone besides the housekeeper had been in my room, things were moved around, a bottle of men’s body wash was left in my bathroom, I’m a female and was staying alone

I notified the front desk, I asked to speak with the manager so he could review the security video, I also asked to be moved to another room After 24 hours I was moved to a different room across from my previous room After my second day in the new room once again I noticed things were missing I once again informed the staff, asked to speak with the manager who again was not available I decided to checkout since I no longer felt safe, and my privacy had been invaded I have yet to hear back from management

Leo Bernal

Terrible experience and service Male working at front desk was rude After trying to book a room once he stated the payment method my wife had used had been declined

Then after grabbing another card not even a minute later he had disappeared and we waited a while until he returned and he claimed that payment method had been declined also So after calling the banks her credit card had been charged 2 nights stay I went back inside to notify him, and he still denied it Later we found out that the room had been used by others for the duration at our expense even after we booked elsewhere proceeding these dilemmas There has been a very helpful woman working with my wife to find resolution so for her I give 4 stars but the male who we encountered at our visit is very dissatisfactory

So far a favorite stay in Victoria Highly recommend Rooms are very clean, and good sized, not to mention the 11 foot ceilings makes the room feel more open

We got a good night’s sleep on their comfortable bed We were at the end of the hall on the first floor and didn’t hear any outside noise The hot breakfast was a very pleasant surprise We will book again 😊

Kent Heaton

Tv signal scrambled, could have been the wind Whirlpool cold, but pool clean with plenty of towels Needs an update for the room furniture wise, but is clean, no in room safes

Very hot water in the shower, clean bathroom Air conditioner ran fine and kept the room cold Parking and outside maintenance look very good and clean Bit pricey for what was offered overall

Tricha Porter

The room was ok But the bed was amazing The breakfast was amazing also

The only down side about my room was that you can open up the shades and the pool would be right there The exercise room was practically next door also Which all of this wasn’t bad at all Everything was close and we were on the first floor which was also amazing And free wifi also for the guests

DO NOT STAY HERE For starters, the front desk lady was super rude and unfriendly We then had to pay an unexpected cash deposit which we would get back so long as the room was clean

(Funny because the room was actually disgusting and we 100% left it cleaner than what we walked into) the room was old and outdated, roaches on the floor, an old contact lense on the bathroom floor You get 1 towel each and 1 roll of toilet paper Everything felt & smelled dirty The floor was sticky We originally booked 3 nights but checked out a day early and cut our vacation short We had to wait for someone to check our room and basically felt like we were being held hostage for a $50 deposit which they seemed hesitant to want to give back It felt like a bad joke I understand this is a lower rate room but good lord I did not expect that level of filth and poor customer service We couldn’t wait to get out of there and from the interactions we witnessed, seemed like the staff felt the same about the receptionist She was being very aggressive with us and the staff The employee who checked our room threatened to quit right in front of us It seriously felt like the twilight zone Small towns really rely on tourism This place should remember that when supplying a service Just hoping we’re not bringing any roaches or bugs back 🤢

Rooms are huge I loved how much room you have

But the location is right on a busy road so had to make sharp turn in there and when I went to ask about the Ice machine I was told she couldn’t help me cause my name was not on the room just my husband’s was So he had to go up there and ask the lady where the ice machine was Ridiculous

Monica Leos

I don’t recommend , roaches crawling around dead roaches in the corner of the room It smells like mildew , my son use the microwave and half of the electricity went out in the room , It happen at 1am so it was no one to call ! I started calling at 8:30 am no answer I went to the front desk and it was locked! 8:45 is when I was able to talk to someone I asked for a refund for that night and they wouldn’t give it , they said because I stayed that night the room was used ! Even though I checked it @ 7:30pm by 1 am had no electricity , just a heads up don’t waste your money here

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Victoria, TX a month ago, and everything about it was absolutely perfect! We had been in contact with Julie (Sales and Meeting Coordinator at that Hilton) for months beforehand, making sure all the details of our big day were exactly what we wanted She was responsive, professional, and very accommodating!! We only had one hiccup the night before the event when we were decorating (the hotel staff had put the wrong color of tablecloths on the tables), but they more than made up for it by changing out the tablecloths and finishing all the decorating for us!! They even have a bridal prep room on-site where I was able to have hair and makeup done with all the ladies in my bridal party – that was incredibly convenient The staff who worked our wedding reception were exceptional as well – the drinks were great and Julie herself actually cut our wedding cake for the guests to enjoy

Our guests absolutely loved the amenities at the hotel: the rooms were clean and good-sized, the food and drinks at the bar were delicious, and the kids spent hours splashing around in the indoor / outdoor pool! If you are in the Victoria, TX area and are looking for a place to have your event, please consider the Hilton Garden Inn! It was a great choice for us, and it will be a great choice for you too A big thank you to Julie and the entire Hilton Garden Inn staff for making our event so special and memorable!!

The cheapest was $10 for, cereal, juice etc It is best just to go out or order your own food All of the restaurants and grocery stores are on the same strip Everything was clean which matters to me the most The refrigerator, and iron worked Will stay again

My twin sons and I are on vacation from Ohio this is our home town, we haven’t visited in a long while We got here a week ago and tonight is the only time we were actually greeted with a wholesome smile Thanks Pete, it only takes one person in a huge staff to bring everyone else up

Sir I wasn’t happy with the other staff members but you made this place shine tonight Thanks for welcoming us here Rather my son had points or cash you didn’t care You thanked my son for being a Dimond Customer and for serving our Country This place more people like you Thanks again Pete

Every year we go and every other year they would have gotten 5 stars However, this year the toilet paper was cheap trash & tore at the smallest touchOn top of that, they added a bar in the lobby and posted “NO BYOB” signs out on the back patio so apparently they’ve decided that we have to get our drinks from their bar if we want to drink outside of our rooms

SMH We’ve been coming as a huge group of family for years (all together about 10 -15 rooms every year for about 20 years) and this change was NOT communicated to us at all prior to our arrival or we would’ve switched hotels, yes, even after all this time! Every year we sit out there as a family and everyone who wants to drink brings their own and we have our reunion and fellowship for 3 days Guess we might have to change hotels now after all these years

On April 19, 2022, despite checking in (via HH app the previous day) and even calling ahead, my two nights reservation (made 10 days earlier) was canceled without notice The reason: “the guest occupying the room decided to stay longer” Moreover, they asked me to move to the hotel next door which is not part of the Hilton family and knowing that there were other two other Hilton properties around the corner

The front desk made little to no efforts assisting me I had to ask them to call around and secure a room for me, no costs compensation offered for the more expensive room located I have been a Hilton Honors member for over 15 years, staying in properties all over the world, never have I encountered such level incompetence and lack of professionalism Simply unacceptable

Byron Boulter

We were actually supposed to stay at a different hotel that we booked with Expedia, but the hotel was under construction, of which Expedia neglected to inform us of So I called this Hilton hotel and the lady at the front desk said that they did have a room with 2 queen beds and a walk-in shower I was needing, so I booked it After getting to the hotel, checking in, getting to the room and unpacked, we noticed that the bathroom didn’t have a walk-in shower

So I went down to the front desk As I passed the by the end of the bar area, I noticed the bartender was just looking at me as I went by and to the front desk He was still watching me as I continued to wait at the desk for someone to come, but since no one was coming, I rang the bell and that is when the bartender welled out “NO”! and he began to laugh! At that point the lady from the front desk came out from the bar, where she had evidently been the whole time I was waiting to speak with someone As she came out from the bar, she was laughing about what the bartender had done! I explained what the problem was with the bathroom was and she argumentatively said that I had only asked for a double queen bedroom with a handicapped accessible bathtubShe said all there rooms come with a handicapped accessible bathroom She also said that only a couple of rooms have walk-in showers and they are taken and there was nothing she could do! She was very rude, argumentative, and full of attitude as I told her I would speak with the manager in the morning, of which I did with little trouble! This is my second experience with staying at a Hilton yand I have it say, it has little to be desired of!

By far the worse place me and my family has ever stayed The location was good because we was here for my Aunts memorial service and it wasn’t far from where it was being held We also called sheriffs office to make sure it was a safe location and was told yes

We rented room with 2 queen beds and fold out couch They had no extra blankets for fold out couch I had asked if that was something I needed to bring and they said no We had clean towels 1st night We asked first thing the next morning for clean towels and was told they had none they was all being washed We asked again later that same day and they gave us 1 towel, no wash rags and 2 stand on towels They told us they would have some for us down stairs later that day once they was dried When we got back late that night we stopped by the counter to pick up our towels Again we was told they had none I told him we was supposed to have some left for us and he said no one told him anything So after telling him this was the worse place I have ever stayed at and his reply being I’m sorry😤we went back up to our room While trying to figure out how to get 5 ppl clean with with what little we had he called and said he found more clean towels Hmmmm go figure 🤔 Would not recommend this place to anyone Even when we swam in the pool and asked for towels the answer was they had none They don’t clean the rooms but every 3 days if you have an extended stay due to Covid Now this is end of May 2022 Very disappointed

Cheap and dirtyDid a emergency trip to Victoria and found this hotel with good prices and hot breakfast

“you get what you pay for” is the best description for this dumpThe lobby looks decent, but do not get fooledDirty halls that smell like sewer, we stayed for 3 days and 3 days the halls were not vacuumedBe ready to do your own room and no service whatsoeverThe “hot breakfast” is a sorry excuse of hot slop they serve in the little eating area they haveBut HEY! At least is cheap

Ian Cummings

Reasonable rates Good BreakfastRooms are a crapshoot

I’ve had great rooms, and terrible onesIf you can get a room on the first floor do it No issues with rooms on first floor They are kept cleaner because they are used moreSome of the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor have black mold issues and smell mustyMy guess is most of the issues we have had with rooms have been due to long periods without use (2nd and 3rd floors)These rooms are most likely only cleaned when used and not used or cleaned for a week or twoOverall you get what you pay for Can’t expect a top notch room for under 100 bucks a nightThis place is great for single guys, one or two night stays on business, or seeing family for a couple daysI wouldn’t stay at this place on a vacation

I’ve been driving for 10 hours and reserved this hotel after reading reviews that were for the most part great! The staff when we checked in was friendly But as soon as we got to the third floor, there was an awful chemical smell, and as soon as we walked into our room there was a very loud alarm/screeching sound coming from what sounded like an alarm When we tried to call the front desk, the phone wasn’t working, my mom went down to the front desk and there was a number left to call, she called and no answer

When she came back up the loud noise and horrible smell was still persistent and neither I, my mom, or my daughter could rest or sleep So I used my personal phone to call the number provided online for this very Marriott, someone answered and then hung up on me After that I was beyond irritated, I went down stairs, and told them I was hung up, our hotel phone doesn’t work, there’s an awful chemical smell, and a horrible screeching/alarm going off They were apologetic, and got us a different room on a different floor But it was right under that same room, and this room/floor has the exact same smell, it’s horrible and extremely bothersome I don’t know if it’s a cleaning product they’re using or what But so far the experience has been very disappointing and I’m completely exhausted and we are all struggling to sleep due to how horrible the smell is

Passed through Victoria on our way to Houston We had such a enjoyable stay at this Courtyard that we extended our stay The outdoor pool was well maintained, and the staff, especially Mr

Joe, was so nice to our kids There’s also an indoor gym, but we didn’t go there because there was enough to do near the hotelWhen we wanted to go out to play, we went to nearby Ethel Lee Tracy Park There’s a splash pad at the park, but too bad it was closed for maintenance When it got too hot, we walked around the mallThe next time we are in the area, will definitely be back Hopefully, we will see the same friendly faces again!

Bob Goss

After a long day i’m traveling across the country, I was exhausted and ready to crash Upon checking in, I was greeted by both Joseph and “Philly”, and was immediately uplifted by the great and positive personalities The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the lounge was filled with a great and relaxing atmosphere

Whenever I’m back in Victoria, I think I’ll be looking forward to staying here again

Super impressed with this place In the service industry a business is only as good as the people on site running daily operations This specific La Quinta is by far one of the most well run budget price hotels I’ve stayed at in the state of Texas and as a frequent traveler for both work and personal matters I’ve probably stayed at over a dozen each of the various holiday inns, la quintas, quality inns, you name it over the years

Marvin, the manager I presume, is an all around stand up guy who seemingly does everything here and quite literally is always nearby ready to jump into action for guests in the most polite and respectful ways possible Marvin, thanks again for the restaurant recommendation and going out of your way for our group

Tyler Farriell

First room the bed sheets and blankets had stains… moved to second room, I am a certified IIRC S500 water restorationist and I found plenty of things to make me mad if I didn’t need to stop for my kidsss… but the bathroom had plenty of secondary water damage, the windowsill has growth on it… water staining on the carpet

it was just gross if I could put photos I would…

Don’t not stay here unless you like or mind animal noises all night and all day Came from Houston to visit family and this dog in 203 right next to us started barking about 4 o’clock this morning, it is now 10:15 and its still going strong! The room is half way remodeled so the old green paint still shows, holes where pictures used to be aren’t filled in but the MAIN issue is the dog! I did tell the front desk and as I was telling them even the employee was saying something about it The breakfast was good and it’s easy to get on and off the highway Which is why I even give them a 2 star but if I can’t sleep whats the point! We will not be staying here again!

My husband and I drove 25 hours to this location after making a booking on hotelscom that same day

Following our navigation using the address online It took us to an abandoned building being renovated We called the front desk to see if we had the wrong address he then gave us another which let us to a random house in Victoria By this point we are tired and frustrated not being able to find the building I am pregnant so being in a car long causes me a lot of discomfort so we make another booking at a hotel that we can physically see We tried getting a refund for the the unused room we didn’t get to and we were refused Now when I call to talk to a manager I get confused front desk attendants who tell me I can only speak to the manager on Mondays because thats the only day they come in

Yvonne Rangel

Very well kept place Kitchenette is always a plus when you’ve got kids The breakfast was great

The rooms were clean and the staff were kind The owners are very nice as wellThey’ve got a pool and it’s nice that it’s off the highwayThe only thing is when the housekeeping is out early in the morning being very loud But other than that it was a pleasant stay

Lana Gudgel

This would have been a five star review but for a couple small things The room is clean and comfortable The staff was friendly and efficient

But Dude you really need to replace a few things That tub should have been replaced like ten years ago I was afraid I was going to fall through the bottom The sheets had burns in them What would it cost to replace a few sheets? The furniture and lampshades really need to be replaced as well A little work and this would be a five star! I would stay again hope next we will see some updates

CLEAN, comfortable, conveniently located, with nice furnishings in the room, and a “real” breakfast included Also, they have on-site laundry and a nice patio around the pool Plenty of parking

When the computer system glitched, front-desk manager Regina really “went the extra mile” to make sure that my reservation was handled properly

The room we were suppose to stay in had the smell of nasty, wet carpet There were stains on the carpet and couch The hallway and elevator had stains on them also

The breakfast was minimal and the coffee was tasteless The second room they put us in smelled a little better but the carpet was still dirty This was the most disgusting Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in It was filthy!! Would recommend staying somewhere else!!

NO ELEVATOR! Cart full of luggage and when pointed towards the stairs I asked which was to the elevator and was told there is no elevator What hotel doesn’t have an elevator???! Room was clean and acceptable for the great price I paid The beds were kind of hard and uncomfortable though

Go to take a shower and NO HOT WATER! Front desk said they were working on it At breakfast time the lady at front desk was the sweetest person ever and extremely helpful (she was not the owner from the night before that was very short and snappy with us)

Awful experience The A/C unit broke, but they did come in the next day and fixed it The ice maker didn’t work in the fridge, but they would give us ice from the lobby

The bathroom fan did not work The TV remote didn’t have a back on it and the beds were uncomfortable The only good thing that happened was the employee’s were nice It’s a shame that the hotel isn’t kept up to the standards it use to have Will not stay there again
