This hotel is very nice! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly They immediately welcome you with gratitude and ready to assist you in any way As soon as I came down with my cart, they asked if the room was to my liking

The rooms are very spacious and well cleaned They have a pool that has both a hot tub and kiddy pool with water a feature They have outdoor seating that is very inviting I highly recommend staying at this wonderful establishment

Jonathan Meyer

Very comfortable room We had a suite with a small living room – excellent layout and idea for a family to have just a little more space The staff was helpful, the breakfast was OK – typical of a hotel

The pool was being serviced so it was out of commission (bummer) but the small health center helped burn off some energy and calories I would definitely stay there again

Myranda Mullings

Thomas at the front desk was extremely helpful and one of the kindest souls I have ever met He helped us book the room and made sure everything was to our liking I was unsure of wich hotel to book but after speaking with him on the phone he sold me onto Springhill

It was the best hotel experience my family and I have had The rooms were very neat and clean and the atmosphere was friendly and professional Erica and Debra were also so sweet and helpful during breakfast We had our 4 children with us and they made sure we all had everything we needed and even turned some cartoons on for the kiddos We will definitely be back in the future We absolutely loved our stay

Fun hotel! Well laid out rooms Bathroom door was not installed correctly and had a huge gap No housekeeping without request, no big deal as we are pretty neat, just an FYI

Area is a bit sketch Ask for a room on the pool side As we were leaving there was a barefoot man propped up against the door with his bike on the sidewalk So keep in mind! Bartender was outstanding! Get a smoked old fashioned!!

Kenton Thompson

This is a clean and comfortable hotel, but located in a very run down neighborhood and surrounded by road construction that makes it difficult to get in and out of the location The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and greeted us every time we came into the lobby The bartender was friendly, helpful and knew her stuff

I would definitely recommend this hotel for those reasons, but it will help once the construction is done

Emily Plocheck

We stayed in room 207 for one night There is an adjoining door with a gap at the top There was an older couple next to us which were quiet for the most part

It wasn’t like loud parting college students We could hear every word and make out conversations they had ALL night the snoring was like it was in our room Which resulted in a restless night of tossing, turning and frustration I could have slept better in the car (crossed my mind) Bring ear plugs if you’re planning a visit

D Newcomb

The room has a good amount of space, but the bathroom is tiny, and the door takes up most of that space The staff was very friendly and helpful The location is perfect for visiting anything in the downtown area or for an event at Baylor

On our last night here there was a great lightning storm that came through and was fun to watch from our window, for the last 2+ hours We did not go to the bar or restaurant so I can’t add those in the review

Mary Higgins

The way they run the the bar for breakfast is a bit chaotic I didn’t have to deal with it, as I had a voucher, but saw the chaos Otherwise it’s still a great hotel

The location is awesome You can walk almost anywhere downtown, and work the free shuttle service in Waco you can’t go wrong Could use some updates to the elevators and maybe some decor but overall, yeah I liked it

Tim

Excellent location Walking distance to area restaurants and attractionsStaff is friendly and handles any issue that arises quickly

We chose to eat at the local restaurants so can’t rate the hotels eating establishment except to say it looked good They also have a bar if you want a night cap before heading off to bedNo issues with the room

This little gem in Waco made our one day visit amazing Israel, who greeted us and checked us in, did everything he could to accommodate our high demands with our rooms Janie, who is the best manager, was running around all day and night to make sure everyone had what they needed from towels and blankets to drinks at the bar

She was so sweet and was always friendly and smiling! The hotel is spotless and the breakfast in the morning was so fresh The saltwater indoor pool was so fun It just felt like home We require allot when we travel and they delivered Thanks for the fun time!

Brad

My wife and son stayed here while previewing College The bed had urine stains on the mattress My wife asked for housekeeping and was told none was working and that only one person was working at the hotel

She asked to change rooms and was denied because they were booked (we are skeptical) and then asked to change the sheets herself because no one could help her I called Corporate to complain and they supposedly started an investigation There was no follow-up, no ticket number delivered to my e-mail, and no bill adjustment I was told the pandemic was the reason they were operating with one person and that our family was feeling the impact Here’s a thought Hyatt the pandemic is over and you are a billion dollar company If you can’t staff adequately, perhaps you should be the one feeling the impact and not your guests Just close until you are prepared to staff responsibly It’s not fair to your one employee working or your customers I should note that I like the Hyatt brand and I am a Globalist This was just so unusual I thought it deserved a post cause it wasn’t handled internally

Amy Balsavias

We stay at Hyatt’s most frequently for consistency of cleanliness and service, but this one was rather disappointing Upon check-in, we found several dirty towels under the sink, and a thick layer of dust settled on the bathroom door and surrounding molding At 3:30 p

m, I requested extra pillows and by 10:00, none had been delivered When I went down at 10:00 and asked again, they told me they had ran out of extra towels and blankets just a few hours before Next time I am in Waco, I will try something other than the Hyatt

Anthony Franklin

A very well staffed, and friendly hotel The 2 star rating is a misnomer; everything was clean, and nicely appointed The pool had a fresh supply of towels and seating; the water was refreshing and didn’t have too much chemicals

The room was clean and the pull out sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable as the king-size bed The blackout curtains meant a a good sleep The breakfast was nice as well They didn’t have any protein, (that’s why it missed the five stars) The exercise room has just enough for a small workout session, (it was over 90°) Overall a pleasure

Danielle Lawrence

We stayed here and LOVED IT The only reason we are giving a 4 star is because the fitness center smelled really bad Like to the point it couldn’t be used

If you don’t need this amenity, then I would highly recommend this place Service was great and everything was very clean If that is important to you, I would choose another place to stay

Katy Reeves

Gr8 location, bigger than ordered room for the 3 of us each having a bed to sleep in after attending family wedding! Breakfast was very slim Pickens both when I went at 8 and when my daughter went at 9 am only waffles, cereal, a few yogurts, a few apples, and a ton of individually wrapped blueberry muffins No eggs, bagels, warm sausage/bacon The warmer was on the island but not plugged in and empty

Disappointed

Beware Hampton Inn customers when calling to book a room I called for rates and availability and was told they would hold my room reservation until the next day but if I didn’t call back it would cancel Well, I did not call back, I did not stay there for the reservation, I had NO confirmation number and yet they charged me for the rooms anyway and would not refund because I didn’t call to cancel

This has been going on since 6/26 and the manager Diane? never returned calls and when I called back again today she anything but customer friendly and unapologetic for any miss communication on their part I will cancel my Hilton rewards and find a better hotel who cares about customer service on all levels

Michelle Smith

I actually thought the bold decor, red walls and black molding and wainscoting was pretty cool looking and worked well with everythingAlso best egg omelettes I’ve ever had from a complimentary hotel breakfast before along with plenty of other quality selection varietyIn the room the pillows were great-mediumish down and 4 per bed

yash menaria

Heat Warning: Be ready, front desk service will have you wait for 10 minutes at the desk although you have the reservation I was given a room with room ac set at 80 F I set the thermostat to my desired setting but after two hours it was still not cooling the roomI called front desk from the room and they put me on hold for another 10 minutes

I had to cut the call and called them back, this time someone else picked up the phone I asked for the change of room but was then informed that they are sending a maintenance guy If it was an apartment, I would understand but you don’t do that to hotel customers instead you change their room right away and let maintenance personnel figure it out later

Pleasantly surprised at this price point! Fantastic hotel; extremely clean; well appointed and spectacular customer service The ladies at the front desk are extremely processional and helpful They greeted us standing up each time and were extremely sweet

Ms Sarah is spectacular! The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows Made for a very restful nights sleep We will definitely stay here again

Michelle Surginer Szanto

My boyfriend and I rented this room specifically because we wanted to use the hot tub The room was clean and spacious In fact, there is so much room that the king sized bed looks like a double, at first

The hotel is sleek and modern not what usually comes to mind when one thinks of a Holiday Inn We paid $200 plus tax and fees for one night and it was very nice! I would recommend this hotel and especially one if the 4 hot tub suites to anyone!

We were in Waco for our Grandson’s wedding This is the first time we have stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn The room was exceptional

The staff courteous and very helpful One thing that pleasantly surprised us is the food that was available We arrived early and they had salads, sandwiches and amazing amount of snacks and beverages We had breakfast there every morning and the omelettes were delicious We will definitely be staying at Hilton Garden Inn’s in the future

Nicole R

The room was clean and it was a nice place to sleep, but the breakfast was very disappointing The eggs and potatoes had zero seasoning and were cold The fresh fruit was good though

Definitely not worth the almost $9 for the buffet per person Lastly, amputation risk for fingers from barn door in the bathroom was annoying It was hard to open and close and fingers were definitely pinched a bit

45 stars out of 5 for the room It is decently renovated

The bathroom was much larger than of others this type Some updating is needed with the faucets, but is not a big issue The Queen bed was awesome The location worked out well and was quiet Breakfast was great and what was promised, with care given to it’s presentation and taste The staff were beyond what you’d see at some other basic places I would stay here again

Jacqueline

Love the king room with the jacuzzi! Very spacious and the receptionist was very nice The only things I will complain about is the TV remote not working and they only give you 2 towels in the room, and we used the jacuzzi a lot so maybe one or two more would’ve been nice Those aren’t deal breakers, I would still recommend this hotel

Oh, and the swimming pool was basically a huge hottub (it was heated) which was amazing

Besides the crazy traffic circle (if you have been to Waco you know) this hotel was great We usually stay at comfort suites and this was by far one of the best ones we have stayed out The service was top notch

The room was fantastic Would stay here again Wish we had time for the pool They have a work out room The breakfast was standard for comfort suites but who doesn’t love a free breakfast Loved the pictures in the room of Waco

Pam Sales

I have stayed at a LOT of Choice hotels, and this place was fantastic! Room was comfortable and CLEAN! Everyone was so friendly Bed was super comfy also (I need to know where they get their pillows) We discovered a slight maintenance issue this morning, and that was the fastest response I have ever had at a hotel anywhere! As in

my friend poked her head out the door as I began brushing my teeth to report it to housekeeping, and I hadn’t even finished brushing my teeth before maintenance showed up at our door! I highly recommend staying here if you’re in Waco!

Michael Hernandez

Very pleasantly surprised with this hotel The stay was great! We have stayed at several higher end hotels in the Waco area (there are only a few and we have stayed at all of them) and have not had as good an experience as we did here The rooms at the Comfort Suites were clean, spacious, and very comfortable

The shower was great pressure and wonderful temperature control The front desk staff was very friendly and super helpful when asked basic questions They seemed eager to help, not put off by annoying questions The morning breakfast hit the spot for a quick “let’s get something to eat so we can get our day started”! The downside is to be expected from a 2 star hotel, but not a deal breaker (no on-site bar/restaurant) Two negatives we noticed was one of our rooms had the shower water backup after several minutes Kinda gross as it is most likely due to hair clog (This only happened in one of the rooms we had rented) And 2nd, the AC was so so It was not hot, by any stretch, but if you like a freezing room, you probably won’t get it here The room did stay cold All in all, I would definitely stay here again

We walked in today with no reservations due to employee error with another hotel Rachel was working the front desk and she was AMAZING!!! She got us a nice room, poolside and a great rate due to our problem elsewhere She appreciated us being a member and said “We want you to come back”

WOW!!! Now THAT’S customer service!!! I will tell ALL my friends coming to Waco to stay here!! Very clean, updated & great staff THANK YOU, RACHEL & Courtyard Marriott!!!

Christian Nygren

I’m sure this hotel is fine for people visiting the conference center across the street, but I hated it I have never before paid so much and received so little The place was clean but why on earth would a suite have a conference table with 8 rolling chairs instead of a couch or arm chairs? There was nowhere comfortable to sit besides the bed! Additionally, despite a mini fridge being advertised, our room just had a bare hole in the cabinetry where it should have been

Further, while I understand the hotel isn’t responsible for loud parties in the courtyard, the single pane windows mean that you can hear the drunken conversations quite clearly And for over $300 per night you’ll think they’d at least have a complimentary breakfast, instead there is a weird bistro that’s more expensive than many of the restaurants within walking distance In fact, the proximity to so many things seems to be the only real benefit The staff are kind and friendly, but that hardly makes up for the problems here Essentially, if someone else is paying and you are going to the conference center this place is probably perfect for you If you are looking to vacation and sight see around Waco, look elsewhere

This hotel is a beautiful property and had I had a better experience with check in, it would have been a 4/5 star review 🌟Beds were comfy, room was spacious, great for families, and perfect for the traveling one at thatMy room has leftover trash in the kitchen trash can under the sink, the bathroom had hair on the floor, and there was so much left over soap build up on the shelving of the shower

I professionally clean and this was not even a “bare minimum quick clean” worthy jobThe check in process is fine Mobile key didn’t work The attendant was not very friendly or happy to be working I did give her grace and every time I saw her she wasn’t that excited about being at work, I get it Rough days happen but not all 3 days I was there Regardless, this was not what I expected of a Marriott, and not my past experiences either and now I’ll continue giving Hyatt my Globalist status, since they honor our military and their families regaddless of being on orders to PCS or not We travel home a lot to be with our loved ones ❤️

Jennifer Crain

We showed up at 7 pm on a Friday night with no reservation The heater didn’t work in our previous hotel, so we were in a bind Ebony at the front desk was so kind and accommodating

She found us a great deal on a junior suite and saved our trip! The suite was spacious and extremely clean We appreciated everything especially the linens that didn’t smell like bleach I’ll be looking at this chain of hotels again Thanks Ebony!

Mark Morgan

I have traveled a lot during my career and this is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in The management crew here is top notch I am always greeted with a smile and staff is very professional

The rooms were up to date and attractive I liked the seating area separate from the bedsFriends in our group were expecting a hotel bar as listed in the amenities

I appreciate the hot breakfast The hot items were prepackaged breakfast sandwiches, which was odd since the other items were not individually wrapped

Tim Buchal

Nice hotel right off of Interstate 35 in Waco, TX Access is challenging in summer of 2022 as there is significant construction The rooms were decent sized and modern

The breakfast was decent for the price and accommodations There seemed to be ample parking and the site is fairly close to some of Waco’s attractions (walking distance if you are so inclined, otherwise a quick drive) Overall a positive experience

Monica Garcia

This location is right across from Baylor and 2 to 3 minutes from the Silos and the Dr Pepper Museum The staff was friendly and always cleaning

It was a little frustrating with all the construction and closed roads Twisted Root is walking distance so that was convenient When we were there the hot breakfast was in prepackaged containers like pre-made biscuits and burritos The washers and dryers were free to use but you do need to provide soap and softener Pool and gym were nice Overall we enjoyed our stay

The pool is nice and saltwater, though the hot tub is chlorinated enough to burn your eyes on the other side of the pool room All in all a great hotel Russel at the front desk has been so helpful our whole stay!

I was disappointed with the 3500 pet fee I had to stay 5 days

The highest fee I’ve ever had to payNo toast of any kind for breakfast No fruit or yogurtOn a positive note Brianna was very attentive, helpful and friendly I thank her for the excellent customer service I give her 5 stars!

Check in is at 3 pm, and not a minute sooner Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but beware the towel rack and hair dryer that will fall off the wall Or the sink that doesn’t drain well

The pool doesn’t look near as nice or clean as online! Wierd smell, rusty fixtures, no fountains, and broken installations with a safety cone sitting over it Pool hours say closed at 11 but people were going in and out slamming doors until 1am The TV had horrible reception and constantly glitched out Breakfast was basic Bar is closed due to Covid still

This place exceeded our recent 5-star hotel stay in San Antonio, that was terrible So glad we found this place! Extremely clean, fresh and ample Had the best experience staying here with my family last night 05/29/22

The hotel desk clerk was so helpful, changing my booking when I had booked wrong date in error Was told that it was always easier to accommodate when booking directly with hotel instead of 3rd party and I already no longer do that! Housekeeping does a very thorough job with cleaning Everything from main entry to the room was well kept Lots of outlets, phone charging lamps, ample room and delicious coffee The mattress we slept on was extremely comfortable All linens were bright and clean and smelled fresh I highly recommend this place Will stay here again if I’m ever in this cute town, again Side note is that much of downtown is under street construction, so try to walk as much as possible Not high traffic flow tho A few blocks from the magnolia silos and from many restaurants

The cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in a while The towels were soft and the walk in shower was very nice They even had a lighted makeup mirror in the bathroom

We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast but the server was very friendly and the food was beautiful The hotel is within easy walking distance of several restaurants, the Magnolia Silos, and the Dr Pepper museumThe only negatives were that it is close to some train tracks and the occasional train can be loud, and we could hear footsteps upstairs a couple times I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Got stuck in Waco after a car accident and wasn’t able to get a car for a few days so I spent two nights at Hotel Indigo I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the owner Everyone here was so kind and willing to help anyway they absolutely could

The owner Kenny went out of his way to make sure I got a room the second night despite being full Jerry was a fantastic server and extremely friendly and kept me entertained with great conversation at the bar The cocktails and food were delicious Couldn’t have been “stuck” at a better hotel Planning to come back sometime with friends and visit here again under better circumstances Thank you so much Hotel Indigo!

While we wanted the boutique Indigo next door (which was fully booked), this Residence was a nice backup Staff was incredibly polite and helpful, our 2 bedroom suite was large, airy, and clean The breakfast was basic but fresh and hot every morning

Nice coffee bar The indoor pool was clean and not overly chlorinated like some hotel pools can be 3 blocks to Magnolia Market, and Diamondback Restaurant All in all, a very good bargain Great for families

The stay here was not quality I have never felt like such a burden The breakfast is subpar

Pillows felt like bricks under your head Dishwasher in room was very loud, maintenance said it needed to be replaced but nothing happened during the stay The drain in the shower didn’t drain so you stood in water during your showerBasketball court was not fenced in and people park right there so if you loose control of the ball you could bounce it off someone’s car Cats on property

My wife and I have never had a bad experience with any of the Marriot family of hotels until we stayed at the Residence Inn in Waco When we arrived 12:30pm on Saturday, there were only about 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot, so we thought we wouldn’t have any issues getting into a room earlier than the normal 3pm check-in time The clerk at the counter told us that there weren’t any rooms clean but it shouldn’t be longer than an hour wait

I asked her if she could call my cell to let me know since we would be waiting in our car in the parking lot but she said they don’t call people that we would have to call them After about 45 minutes, I went back into the lobby to check to see if a room was available yet but she was busy at the counter checking in another couple I waited until she finished with them and gave them their room keys Once they headed towards their rooms, I asked her if a room was ready She again said, “no” not yet I asked her how she just checked in the previous couple, and she said that they had a different room than the one I booked I told her it didn’t matter what kind of room we were put in, we just needed a room She told me she couldn’t swap me out because they are at full capacity So, I went back in my car to wait My wife went in to check this time We have now been waiting for 1-1/2 to 2 hours The clerk wasn’t pleasant and told my wife that our room wasn’t ready yet My wife told her, “okay, it’s just that usually the hotels work with us since we are Titanium Elite” Here is where we were shocked: The clerk told my wife, “We don’t care what status people are; people are people” I called Marriot corporate after my wife told me what she said I do understand that ‘people are people’ but we only stay at Marriot hotels so that my status stays at Titanium so we do get the added perks and benefits In the end, our room wasn’t ready until 3:05pm Unfortunately, when we walked into the room (2nd floor) it smelled like poop and very strong smell They had to assign us another room (3rd floor this time) and that room didn’t have an odor We originally asked her to give us a room on the first floor since my wife doesn’t do elevators and I had knee surgery last week and was using a cane to get around We have stayed in Residence Inns many times (including this one) and we have never had a bad experience
