I was on a business trip and to my luck was dropped off at a Marriott but 10 mins away from this one by car I had no way of getting to the hotel since I did not have a car, so I called them to inform them of what happened The lady on the phone stated she would cancel my reservation and submit for a refund and that I don’t get charged a cancellation fee

But most likely I would get a refund but get charged a cancellation fee since it was day of I had no other option since I did not have a car to get there and also I am from out of town and was only staying for one night I received an email the next day in the after noon by the general manager (Amberlyn) who stayed that since I canceled my reservation last minute and they could not resale the room they were still going to charge me for a stay Did not even ask me any background questions to try and understand why I did not make it that day Ever since that day I have emailed her and “Customer Care” numerous times and I even called to speak to a supervisor and have heard back from no one You think that since I stayed at a Marriott and I am a new member of there rewards club/group what ever its called they would accommodate me this one time Since this was my first time trying to stay at there hotel and it did not work out Your jobs are supposed to be around Customer Care and right know your not showing that at all I am not asking for anything crazy or treating anyone bad I just want a refund for a stay that I was unable to complete You’re hotel has a lot of money refunding me won’t break your bank

The hotel was swapping out all of the mattresses I appreciate the effort but it would’ve been nice to know when I booked The parking lot was a maze, full of mattresses and massive trucks cutting off whole sections and taking up tons of parking spots

One day my wife and I came home from lunch to people in our room with our door wide open We were given no warning, at no point were we asked for permission She had her wallet and personal items in the room Blatant disregard for us and our privacy 100% will never be staying here again nor will I be recommending it to anyone I’d give zero stars if that was an option

Room was clean and comfortable, not sure that the “queen size” bed was truly queen size, but comfortable nonetheless A/C was a little wonky in the room so maybe put it colder than usual if you run warm (this might just be user error, I was exhausted while fidgeting with it) Bathroom was also clean and bright

Breakfast was simple and standard but very good Currently (as of 7/14/22) need a “reservation” to use the pool, but hardly anyone was using it so I can’t imagine it’s difficult to get yourself a time slot if you wanted to Overall a decent price and a fine place to get some rest!

Nice, well appointed rooms Based on other reviews, I think must have remodeled recently Beautiful lobby and dining area, and an unusually fancy exterior for a Hampton

I stayed in another Hampton one night during the height of COVID, and was really struck by the rooms not having reusable things like tissues, note pads with a pen, etc It was good to see those things back in the rooms!

Love Always

Rooms are very small All the furniture touches cause there’s no space Old styled decor

Clean and well maintained property Staff are very nice Breakfast was cheap No name brand products One roast coffee no real creamer only packets Tub was a high step Large fridge not a cooler Right next to a fire company so you hear sirens all night and day Beds are hard no soft topper and not true kings

I am not sure where all the exceptional, 10/10 reviews come from on this hotel, but we did not have a 10/10 experience Not sure if the other rooms may have been any better, but our room was in terrible condition – dirty, dusty and had trash left from previous occupants (plate of partially eaten pizza slices under the bed, random medication/pill and other trash on the floor), mold and dust in the bathroom See included photos

Check-in and checkout were easy, but the attendant always had to be called from the back room Pool and hot tub were good, but they were always short on towels, so they gave us some regular hotel room towels I can’t give this place more than one star based on our experience for the cost of the hotel We’ve stayed in much cheaper places that were a lot cleaner than this We had another family in our group who had to have the hotel switch rooms because of weird stains on the bed Definitely won’t stay here again It’s weird because the other reviews mention the lack of availability of the pool as only negative, but that was really the only positive experience at this hotel, based on price paid for the stay

Cleanliness was an issue 2nd floor hallway was heavily perfumed with automatic sprays The room has a mustiness to it…

Automatic sprays didn’t help the room So pretty sure the hallway smell was masked by the air fresheners Was only staying 1 night so not a big deal We went out right after check in to enjoy our day Got back late The bathroom looked like it had patch repair water damage and the wallpaper was peeling After about an hour in the room we noticed that around all the baseboards there was a line of what looked like cat litter And then there was cockroaches We tapped out at that point We checked out and went to the Fairview Very clean thereAt this Hilton I booked a double room and got a king handicap assessable room instead That part isn’t a big deal but the fact that I had all these issues in a room I wasn’t even supposed to have and not get a full refund is ridiculous My room rate was $244 including tax I wasn’t expecting the tax to be refunded but was expecting to get the full room rate back I was only given 30% backSeriously reconsidering being a Hilton Honors member

Deidre Mitchelli

The carpet in our room reeks of urine that is masked with cleaner that creates a sticky residue So “floor is lava” at this hotel Very disappointing, luckily the window opens to let fresh air in

The bed is comfy thankfully Unbelievable at this price point to have a room in this condition and very unusual in my long history of Hilton stay

Ryan Wenger

Staff came to our room asking if our 7 year old son was jumping around because they “received” a noise complaint and asked for him to stop It was 3:30 pm on a Thursday I said ok but was bewildered there was an issue

My son walks quietly (did not run at all) but did jump from bed to bed twice Later that night my son told me that on the drive to the hotel that morning he was super excited to go to a hotel but now he was super excited to leave the hotel He asked why did they get mad at him when he wasn’t making a lot of noise It broke my heart because I remember how exciting it was to go to hotels as a kid and they took that from him To make it worse, the pool was shut down by the health inspector based on the note on the pool door When my wife asked about it when we were checking out the next day, the staff denied it and said it was closed due to maintenance Again There was a note from the health inspector that says he closed it down The staff was either lying or completely unaware of what is going on in their hotel Add in the fact that the elevator was past due for it’s inspection and made some curious noises made this a terrible end to our trip I’ve always had great stays at Hilton Garden Inns in the past and this is not a negative post on them but for this specific hotel I highly suggest finding another hotel to stay at, especially for families

Decent size rooms, clean, comfy beds, well equipped However some of the details are oldish: some rust, very noisy and inefficient heating system When we checked in, there were probably 67 F in the room

After an hour with heating at 80 … no changes We could feel the cold air coming out, no heating The guy at the front desk was super attentive and sent someone immediately To make it heat they turned off 2 vents After this, one room was heating and the other one was not Not ideal but we went for this as we were tired and wanted to sleep (we were also traveling with our 1 year old) So instead of having it completely fixed we went for an easy fix, but in the other room it was incredibly cold Good thing no one came with a cold

Harpey Family

This was a great hotel, perfect for families Special shoutout to Monica, very nice and accomodating She really tried to help us with a package delivery problem with ohone updates even after we left! Only downside was there was no housekeeping so we had to get the vacuum and change towels but no big deal

Besides the fire alarm that was triggered 3 times in 24 hours because of people cooking it was very quiet Love the chain Will come again!! Thank you

Melissa Stefun

Checkin took 30 minutes because the front desk people couldn’t figure out how to work their system and were fighting with each other I think they forgot we were there The room was dusty and I saw cobwebs everywhere and at least three spiders making new webs

The paint was peeling The guests next door were playing really loud music til late and we had to call the front desk to get them to quiet down

Has a bar but not open but they keep bottled beer in the refrigerator No breakfast Pool is not open

Hot tub is not open Shower door didn’t close Brand new hotel and looks good inside but no available amenities Was told no amenities due to staffing issues Overcharged for the room Had to debate a late checkout Elevator needs servicing, sounded like it was going to collapse Brand new hotel, but at least it was clean

Air conditioning didn’t work, I called they told me to turn it off then back on and wait Room got up to 82 degrees then I called back and they told me they would try to move us and she would call back She just showed up at the door, with and attitude, like it was very inconvenient for her

said the hotel was sold out sold out but somehow she got us a room and told us we were lucky one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a hotel

Lauren Cestone

Arrived to check-in after calling to see if I had to be there by a certain time They told me that I could arrive any time When I arrived I was told that they had “sold my room” by someone very rude

They lied and said they were trying to call me (they didn’t try) I ended up having to sleep on the couch of someone else’s room That room was basic and had absolutely no water pressure in the shower I’ll never stay at a Marriott again

I stayed at Brinton Suites from August-October 2019 whilst in the process of moving back to my native country, England This place is in great location, very affordable and the staff are lovely! The owner/manager is very friendly I would recommend the suites to those considering staying in West Chester! If I could leave more than a 5 star review, I would!

barbie crook

The room and bathroom were very clean However, the bed (room 105) was so small for 2 people and my feet were hanging off the end I was cold, and the quilt was so thin and I couldn’t sleep because of the noise of the fridge

There was only one night stand and lamp and one outside patio chair The entrance area smelt awful, of very strong cleaning productsI would not stay here again

014kaysee

I give this place 4 stars for cleanliness, but there are no staff on the premises that can help with anything We were unable to get any clean towels, and had trouble with the television reception with no one to help fix it The room was very clean with the exception of the microwave, which had what looked to be mold growing in spots inside of it

Overall, it is a beautiful place, but they need at least one staff member on the premises to help guests when they need it

Let me just start off by saying that the front desk staff is great It’s a young group that are very professional and personable My advice to Marriott is treat them respect and pay them what they’re worth

They are the future faces of your companyMy 2 week stay was pretty good Quiet, clean, and I was happy overallBreakfast needs a little work though It’s the same microwaveable biscuit sandwiches every day It gets oldCommunication to the cleaning staff also needs to be worked on I was there for six days before my room was finally cleaned Only because I said something

Siani James

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this property The evening staff were not friendly or welcoming at all My husband and I arrived around 10PM on Saturday evening

When we arrived, we weren’t greeted by the security staff standing at the desk (Middle White Aged woman) She did not greet us or even turn her face to look at us when we walked in I kindly spoke to her and she then said “Hello” out of force When we arrived, the front desk was empty but a young man came from the back after a minute or 2 The young man who checked us in didn’t Acknowledge my Bonvoy membership status or welcome us to the hotel I handed him my ID and credit card in his hand and he sat it back on the counter when he returned it My husband had to ask him to HAND it back to me just as I gave it to himAdditionally, the TV in the bedroom didn’t work It was a fuzzy grey screen soon as we turned it on I didn’t call to complain because the staff didn’t make me feel welcomed to begin with We also only had two wash cloths in our room and no body lotion at the bathroom sink Only hand soap I didn’t feel like I was at a Marriott property When we checked out, I explained all of my concerns to the front desk personnel “Izzy” and the only thing he said was “sorry” He was not empathic or responsive I stayed on a employee discounted rate so I wasn’t looking to be compensated for my night I wanted the staff to acknowledge the unwelcoming behavior and to set a higher standard during departure It almost felt like the staff was prejudice towards us The entire experience was not hospitable what so everPlease share my response with your team as a teachable moment Never judge a book by it’s cover and to be kind at all times Poor customer service is bad for business

Stayed a couple nights to visit Longwood Gardens The hotel is minutes away Very nice hotel

Clean rooms and a friendly staff The breakfast has numerous hot and cold selections The young ladies taking care of the breakfast were very personable and made sure the area was clean and organized We did not use the pool but it looked very nice Lots of parking and restaurants nearby

KIMBERLY PAUL

Not impressed at all! The comforter and sheets smelled like garlic Did you even change the bed sheets? Only staying one night so not asking for new sheets I’ll just sleep on the chaise

Thought we would enjoy the pool until we realized the pool filter didn’t work Gross Wanted to use the exercise room but didn’t trust its cleanliness after seeing the pool The hot tub was nice but the timer is broken and the bottom tiles are dirty and gross I haven’t even gotten to the breakfast I’m hoping it helps redeem our stay at least a little This was supposed to be a birthday getaway for my husband and it has been a HUGE disappointment I wanted to like this place but so far, I haven’t found anything worth bragging about I’m not interested in staying here again

Rich grodzielanek

Great experience Received a text asking if there was anything that I needed before arriving I asked about an early check since I was there for a wedding and Sabina said that would be no problem

Upon arrival Sabina was friendly and attentive Had me checked in and ready to go in under 5 minutesRoom was nice and spacious Everything I needed was there I was there for a wedding but if I had to be there for an extended visit it would have been perfect I didn’t have time to check out the pool or fitness room so all I know is that they have themOverall nice clean spacious room and friendly staff made for a great stay

The first thing I look for is cleanliness and I give this hotel a 5-star rating for cleanliness Our room was spotless and the air smelled fresh Continental breakfast in a cute little breakfast room

Centrally located and only 10 minutes to Longwood Gardens Restaurants close by One suggestion put a deflector on the AC The unit is low and the air blows right on the bed I would use this hotel again

Twofor Breakfast

It’s a solid 3 star hotel The hotel doesn’t try to be more than what they need to deliver The location of the hotel is undeniably its best feature

10 mins from the longwood gardens, an awesome bakery just outside the hotel, and some highly rated restaurants down the drivewayThe rooms were clean, dust free, smell free, it does need some updating in regards to carpets and tiles in the bathroom The door didn’t lock properly and needed a little push or pull to lock properlyYour stay comes with a basic breakfast, but if you are staying for the weekend there is a great bakery just a short walk awayThe service was very nice, they try their best given the circumstances

Sammy

Brandywine River Hotel is a nice Historic Hotel located in Chadds Ford PA The rooms are nice and clean The bed was very comfortable

The fireplace in the room we choose was a nice touch although for the room to be called a suite I thought it was a bit on the smaller side The hotel needs to update their carpeting within the rooms and throughout the building The hotel staff was friendly checking in and out went smoothly For breakfast they serve a continental breakfast of coffee, tea, bagels and pastry’s, otherwise I would suggest eating outside of the hotel for better breakfast options Overall this was a decent hotel, nice and quiet located in a beautiful area Longwood gardens it’s just an 8 minute drive away! If you plan to visit Longwood call the hotel and they will offer you a package deal for entry into the Gardens

My husband and I stayed at this Staybridge for 17 nights with our dog in a two-bed suite We needed a place while we found a rental house and it was a good experience overallPositives: The hotel was dog-friendly which was the initial appeal for us

Dogs can be left in the room alone if they are crated, and it was only $150 for the whole stay The room itself was comfortable and clean Great water pressure in the shower The breakfast was decent every morning The staff was very nice and accommodating, and because of our longer stay the manager ensured we were getting the best nightly rate The location is fantastic and close to shopping, restaurants, parks for the dog, and easy access to major roads Nice pool, outdoor patio, food and beverage area, etcCons: We brought a lot of kitchen items with us, which was good since the kitchenette is pretty small and not a lot provided The internet was slow at times The social hour food left a lot to be desired, but we mainly took advantage of the drinks (For example, their “stir fry vegetables” was only plain steamed broccoli, and “salad” one night was giant, whole pieces of Romaine set out) We considered anything at the social hour a bonus, but I just want others to be aware and not plan your meals around itOverall I would stay here again, and even though it was expensive, we felt that it was a good value when factoring in having the dog with us

Deon A

I was really enjoying my stay at this hotel until the evening of the 2nd day The guest across the hall had a dog which would not stop making weird yelping and scratching sounds It was so continuous and disruptive that I had to call the front desk because I thought that there was something wrong with the dog, or the owner

Sadly, my calls were useless because the awful sounds continued Apparently, the front desk called the room, but there was no response To me it seemed that the dog was in the room alone and wanted out Because of this one bad experience, I will be avoiding pet friendly hotels from now on because this was definitely not human friendly Apart from this incident, the hotel room was comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful Laundry is free, breakfast is substantial (not as many choices as other Staybridge locations), and the hotel is in a great location near stores and restaurants

What a great place! I called with a last minute need to come into town for a corporate meeting and needed to bring my dogs In order to get to my meeting on time, I needed to check in early, get the dogs settled, and then head to work I spoke to Lauren and she made it easy after other local hotels turned us down

When I arrived, the general manager was working the desk himself and personally took care of me He gave me a room on the first floor, near the door, so I could easily take the dogs in and out The room was super clean and comfortable, I slept great, and was one happy customer with the way I was treated Thank you SO much!!!

Not a bad hotel Very clean Given staff shortages across the country they did the best they could to accommodate

The indoor pool was nice Breakfast buffet was around $15 per person and made to order omelette and eggsWould have given 5 stars but the fire alarm going of three times in the morning and lack of towels and pillows made it a 4 star experience

I’m confused by all the raving reviews I didn’t find the staff to be very friendly or professional One complained about starting a shift on the elevator and the person at the front desk showed zero emotion

When we asked if the room was ready, we were told and early check in would be $50 Either the room is ready or it’s not I’ve never been told this by a hotel on arriving 2 hours early The rooms were average at best Toilet dirty, ac unit falling apart and noisy refrigerator We were told parking at the hotel lot would be $20 and were charged $25 We didn’t have enough towels and washcloths for the 3 people in the room The location is great That is all this hotel has to offer over a budget hotel And it’s 3 times the price Never again

The pool is finally open! Very clean and refreshing! Nice new front desk team member, couldn’t be nicer and helpful Gave me a restaurant card got 20 percent off my meal SCORE! They accepted it at a brand new restaurant that just opened! Rooms meticulously made Very clean and enjoyable

Will no doubt come back Hopefully the restaurant and bar in the hotel will soon be open every day

The rooms are dated (if that’s important to you), but mostly my concern is carpet which was very dated and felt dirty (i didn’t get close enough to thoroughly inspect, just wear your flip flops and it’s fine) The AC and fridge were both pretty loud but just white noise so that didn’t bother us too muchFront desk people were all very nice and answered any questions we had

Pool looked clean but we didn’t get a chance to use it Breakfast room is small (i guess not everyone eats their free breakfast)Neighborhood: i mean the mall is in view which also means lots of restaurants and next door is dominoes which for us was a great option for a late dinner Not a great place to walk around since you’re surrounded by main roads but we managed a stroll and it felt pretty safe

This hotel was actually so awful I came here on a school trip and we got our room and it wasn’t cleaned since the last stay, my classmates rooms weren’t cleaned either The beds were messy and the bathroom was gross

We ended up getting new rooms and the sheets didn’t fit the bed The toilet wouldn’t flush and numerous other rooms had plumbing issues too The downstairs wasn’t being used because there was water damage in the basement There weren’t many breakfast options either The bedding was practically just sheets, it gave off creepy vibes and a 13 year old was hit on by another person staying here The only reason I’m putting 2 stars and not one is because the pool was great, and the outside was pretty cool I do NOT recommend!!!

Great location Outdated decor/ rooms Extremely dirty pool with no running filter and hardly any chlorine

Friendly employees Front desk does not answer the phones though Breakfast was very simple So not try the Blueberry waffle mix, it’s awful Bed was comfortable Rooms did not receive service Stains on shear curtains No dark curtains to block out lightThere are other hotels in the same area that are probably much better

Where to begin

I’ll just leave this I traveled 25 miles past my business endeavor to stay at a Marriott hotel Been up almost 24 hrs traveling, doing my business and just looking to relax and get a good long sleep in Go to check in get my key and get to bad after getting a late dinner delivered Set alarm and get to bed 8:00 am I awaken suddenly to banging at my door “House Keeping!! House Keeping!! I slowly get up and open the door and she’s banging on other people’s door I shut the door try to get more sleep to no avail I now hear her cleaning next door talking loudly I just get up and prepare to leave I go out the door and look around to see she has piles of towels at each door she’s cleaned already it’s only 9:15 am I voice my concerns with checkout and told she’s just trying to get done early I told the clerk that’s a bad practice and I was looking forward to sleeping in Was told sorry I just said I would get breakfast I walk to the breakfast area and looked bomb went off all food was gone, trash everywhere Nothing but yogurt and bottle of water Very disappointing stay and surprisingly at a Marriott run place Just a waste of $$ for nothing

Our 2-night hotel stay in December 2021 was so lovely! The staff was very attentive and our requests were met both efficiently and thoroughly On our second night, we returned to the hotel tired and cold from having been out and about all day long As we made our way toward the elevators from the lobby, we were overwhelmed by the sweet aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies — they had just put out a tray for hotel guests, complete with hot apple cider!! I mean, come on

It was just such an incredibly thoughtful gesture We also used the pool and hot tub on both nights of our stay and the whole pool area was kept clean and inviting The room itself was spacious with two double beds It was quite a wonderful and memorable stay for us (two adults and a small dog) Highly recommended!!

Stayed two nights for business Very comfortable and clean roomWe had a fire alarm go off the second night, but there was no emergency and things were taken care of promptly

(Would like to thank night auditor Blaine for his patience!)Staff is very friendly and accommodatingI do wish they’d have checked in and out more towels during the stayNo exhaust fans in the bathrooms Hence the fire alarm… From a steamy shower

I cannot say enough good about this place Aside from a wonderful visit two years ago, in December I had a medical emergency while staying with them, and they made everything so easy They ensured that my partner and I had access to our former room to ensure we got everything out, and also gave us a new room to stay in

Despite the trauma of a vacation turning into a life-threatening episode, we still managed to have a really nice time outside of that incident–all because they took such good care of us That’s the kind of experience you don’t forget Anytime we come back here, we know just who to stay with

I’m not complaining just pointing out area’s that could be improved Not enough lighting in the room There’s a post directly in the view of the TV from desk

Couch isn’t comfortable Foot stool & ironing board had stains There’s only one filtered water location It’s warm water so adding unfiltered ice defeats the purpose Snacks for sale are junk food I don’t care for the breakfast but it’s free The oatmeal is mush They do have Chobani Greek yogurt The staff and manager are great, kind, helpful, courteous and respectful

Stay away!!!!! The absolute worst of the worst!!!! And they will steal you money!!!!!! We were accused of smoking in the room and charged and extra $350!!!!! We were taking our 10 year old nephew to a basketball tournament!!! Yes 10 YEAR OLD!!! And they accused us of smoking in the room and charged us $350!!!!!! When we called to discuss the matter and explain obviously there was NEVER any smoking in the room, they proceeded to accuse us of it again Absolutely unbelievable!!!!!!!! I literally have no words for the terrible staff and manager Alexandria except that they were the absolute worst!!!! And also extremely rude and condescending! So stay away everyone unless you want to be robbed of your hard earned money!!
