First time in NYC and really enjoyed our stay here in February The lounge and bar areas in the lobby are very cozy and have a great atmosphere, and are decorated extremely well Outlets and computers are also available for use

Check in and out were quick and easy I would receive texts daily checking on our stay and asking if there was anything we needed We had fresh water and a blanket delivered to our room fairly quickly All appliances in the room worked fine Our room was a little chilly no matter what setting we had on, but the staff provided us with an extra blanket so it was fine If you play PokémonGO, we could reach 4 stops from our room and lots of great spawns, and many gyms around to remote into raids Great stay and would love to stay again! Only complaint is the added in resort fees when booking, I really don’t understand why they don’t just include it in their daily rates so it doesn’t feel like a cheap scam

This is the greatest hotel I’ve stayed at in New York From arrival, Esther made sure all of our needs were met The tables outside the hotel were magical for coffee in the morning I sure do miss those tables

Very quiet very clean very nice hotel My wife and I were very inquisitive about areas and food in the neighborhood and the doorman Orlando was very professional and kind We will see you next year for sure Miss you guys already

Josh Boney

The stay was fantastic! Great location in Manhattan for quiet, safety, and access to NYC Older classic building with modern classy upgrades for a professional stay Bedroom w/bathroom was top notch

My favorite aspect of the room was the bed I slept like a baby compared to other nice hotels The bathroom also had high-quality upgraded features that I appreciated It may just be me, but my check-in process could have been better They have the 4-star communication down, but the process did not seem as smooth I would definitely stay here again, so overall 5-star review for me!

Great staff, The room was small but well-appointed Hint rooms close to elevator have no view: 802,and probably 801 I know have no view to anything but another building There is also no lobby space

The gym is very much what I expect of Hilton– free weights, multiple bikes, treadmills etc, cable weight machine, benches Location is great 2 blocks from central park, half block from Russian Tea room Tons of upscale dining in the area I would return to this property without hesitation

Samantha Smith

Cannot say enough how great of a stay we had Super friendly staff that helps you out of the car, to the front desk We had a small incident during our stay (no fault of the hotel) and had the opportunity to work it out with the staff who made everything right without hesitation

I was impressed! Still impressed, and will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyoneOur room was great size, hot water, quite and very clean Keep up the good work Warwick!

Craig Larson

We had a “Premier Suite” with a great view of brick walls 4 feet out our windows The “great view” was never mentioned when I booked the room The bathtub and bathroom floor were so slippery I almost had to crawl around after a shower

Only 3 very small elevators for a hotel this size is a fire hazard I will not be staying there again On a positive the doorman was excellent

Conny Sc

We had the most beautiful stay! The hotel is classic, elegant and historic Our standard room was spacious for New York Most importantly for me, I had no complaints about the cleanliness

Above all, the staff made us feel super comfortable Doorman John welcomed us warmly and sweetened our days 🙂 We will miss him! We would come again anytime!

Terrific value Location is great, quieter than in Times Square but an easy walk to all of midtown We stayed in penthouse A- loved having two bedrooms and two bathrooms for our family of 5

Beds were comfy Room was clean Breakfast was a bonus- best selection I’ve seen since the start of the pandemic Rosa is a gem at breakfast She helps everyone and keeps things moving and tidy Amanda at the front desk was also very kind and helpful This was a perfect stay for our Spring Break We will look forward to returning Thank you to the team!

ron stuart

Just returned from a 6 night stay Solid hotel in a great location Staff did excellent job problem solving with us on a few issues

Good breakfast with helpful and friendly staff Rooms are large with a full kitchen Nice spaces for our family of 5 Our first night we were in a street facing room on the 2nd floor, and be warned that it is a noisy street, which is typical We requested a move to a higher floor which they were able to accommodate along with some ear plugs Our new room has a couple of sad AC units One really loud and the other not working at all I asked for them to be looked at and when we returned from our day, we had two brand new units that had been installed The hide a bed mattress in our first room was great but in the second room my son said it was like sleeping on a sheet of paper The staff did try and help be bringing us a foam mattress top but he still had to move the mattress to the floor to escape the bar in the middle of his back from the metal bed frame Yes it is an older building but you aren’t going to a resort, you are looking for a solid place to sleep in a central location This place is it We will stay here again

Ronen Elfassy

Location is great, just in mid town ManhattanThe rooms have plenty of space with a nice living room, a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, stove, pots, silverware, etc) and large bedsBreakfast was nice with lots of options to chose from

The rooms doors were a bit squicky and there was some paint pilling off, but other than that, perfect hotel for a family

I have been coming here for years If you choose this place you definitely won’t regret itThe Royalton hotel was one of the best if not the best hotel experience I have ever had Although there restaurant and bar is still not functioning currently post pandemic, the staff is so amazing I know it is their job to assist, yet they conduct business quickly, efficiently, and with smiles on their faces They go above and beyond to let you know that you are welcome Thank you Royalton Hotel staff you made my first time experience phenomenal They are right at the core of the city as well, so you can always find a drink and a meal

After reading so many good reviews, I fully expected to find a new hotel for myself in the city The lobby felt like a ghost town The staff behind the reception desk were not super friendly

The hotel is in need of redecorating My suite was probably glamorous 30 years ago but was now just old, dirty and dated The phone in my room did not work so I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk I had asked to get ice and the person behind the desk said they would send it 30 minutes later after calling the front desk, they again said they would send it 30 minutes later I got dressed and went across the street to the one bright spot…the Red Flame diner and got my ice No Fun This stay

Max Mendez

Beautiful 4-star hotel the room had a very nice walk in shower with two heads and a ledge for sitting on The room felt quite spacious for it being the average room near Times Square/Broadway Hotel staff in the lobby were very helpful with holding baggage due to no early check in

Both nights we stayed they had a free wine glass for guests in the lobby area by the bar I think public bathroom leave an impression on people and the public bathrooms that are unisex were very nice modern looking They also had lemon water in the lobby which worked out well so then we didn’t have to go buy a ridiculously priced case of water The location is great for a family of 4 like us we wanted a hotel near Times Square/ Broadway well not being directly on broadway, this location is perfect for that because it’s a half block walk off of Times Square

Kitty Hartman

I’ve stayed in New York a few times and it’s always like staying in a shoe box This place was NOT LIKE THAT! It’s ambiance was modern and sleek, the rooms were roomy and we even had a very nice large balcony! The shower was my favorite part because both shower heads worked great and the water got very hot !! Which I enjoyed! The shower was roomy and even had a ledge It was great

The room had 2 beds and a desk chair and sitting couch with a closet included and working refrigerator they even had a blow dryer This place is great!! Everything worked and it was a pleasant surprise staying in New York!! Definitely would stay here again and give 5 stars would recommend!

Eric Perez

I really enjoyed the room! I’m a stones throw away from Times Square, a quick stroll to the subway to get where I’m going, and something that’s not so popular in comments which I think should be… the beds and pillows were SO NICE! I slept better here than in any hotel in recent history! I’d stay here just for the sleep quality aloneEdit* It does get a little loud given we’re next to Times Square but nothing terrible Still greatEdit** and they let me check in at 7am after flying a red eye! That’s amazing, thank you!

Fabulous hotel in a very central Midtown location on Times Square The basic rooms are very small so difficult if you have lots of luggage and also have glass toilets and showers, so not very private We upgraded to a to a large suite which was fabulous, very roomy and had a separate bathroom

The staff were super helpful and nothing was too much to ask for The breakfast was also great

Queen Of the South

Jewel of a hotel right in the middle of the action The pleasant scent of the hotel greets you every time you enter The staff makes it a memorable experience with Johnny and Fernando greeting you and ready to give you food recommendations

Communicating with the front desk via the mobile app was easy and they catered to every request we had The concierge desk was effective and got us the luxurious and safe transportation we were looking forLovely hotel!

Stayed here with the wife for one night on Friday 6/24 I am Marriott platinum – used a free night that was about to expire Great location right on Times Square

Perfect location if you are seeing a Broadway show, which we did (Mr Saturday Night – terrific show, with Billy Crystal) Got 1,000 points at check-in – no breakfast option Was not offered an upgrade Rooms are small – make that very small – but very modern and clean Bed was firm but comfy Terrace restaurant has a good but expensive breakfast Try the skillet cake with lemon zest-infused ricotta Excellent All hotel associates we encountered were helpful and courteous

Kathleen McFarland

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights recently on a trip to see a couple Broadway shows, and it was perfect! The building is beautiful and well-maintained with a unique, vintage feel, which is exactly what I was wanting as opposed to a huge chain hotel We were upgraded to a superior king room with a small balcony facing the street, which was great! The staff were very polite and helpful, and the free breakfast was really good They can store your bags before check-in and after check-out, which was really nice

The location is great, just close enough to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc but far enough away to feel like you’re in an actual neighborhood And of course tons of great restaurants nearby! There aren’t a ton of amenities if that’s important to you, but the rooftop lounge is a nice plus, we’d love to come back when it’s warmer to be able to enjoy it more! There is a piano bar right across the street that was rather noisy at night, but it didn’t bother us too much Overall highly recommend Hotel Scherman!

Kristine Neyra

I had a wonderful stay They let me check in early and the room was spacious with a small terrace to look at restaurants below There was live music nightly from the restaurant below but that didn’t bother me

Location is great, I even walked from Penn station to this hotel with my bags So many great restaurants in the area as well Room has a fridge and microwave And water pressure in the shower was great! I didn’t try the breakfast that was provided I did check out the rooftop terrace which was only for guests which had a decent view

Alex A

I booked after reading some great reviews and wow were they accurate We were looking for a convenient hotel, good service, and bigger room (2 beds, 2 baths, etc)

This was the perfect spot! And one we definitely plan to come back to Location is great – so many food options, transport, etc next door Room was really great – comfortable, clean, and amazing balcony! Finally, literally every staff member was genuine, helpful, and kind It was arguably better/more genuine service than what you get in a lot of 5 star spots Thank You!!

My family and I stayed there for a few days while on vacation Andrea at the front-desk was AMAZING I had called multiple times prior to checking in about my room type

I was told by a young guy at the front desk he couldn’t help When I called back again to asked to speak with a manager Andrea answered and made everything great She assigned us to a room that accommodated all of our requests Andrea is really a great asset to this hotel Thank you so much Andrea for fixing this stressful situation because we had been driving from Florida to New Jersey

Eli Ankri

Great place for NYC tourists, 7 min drive via the Holland tunnel or 15 min ferry ride from port imperialVery clean, great staff, good complimentary breakfast, and most important free parkingTarget, Starbucks, chipotle and much more 5 min walk from the hotelHighly recommend

Rohit Sikand

Clean and quite rooms Cannot blame the hotel for the traffic and trucks around Entry and exit is definitely not a positive as it does seem from the back of the building

Staff is helpful absolutely courteous Rooms ( suites) are large and clean Need to advise the front desk of the room cleaning service in advance – due to covid restrictions and availability The suites have two tvs and switch on and off together ! Again not an hotel issue but need to align the remote close to the TV that needs to be shut else the remote controls both TV’s…Breakfast is typical – eggs were COLD !!!!

The staff have all been so nice and accommodating We got a Queen deluxe room for the extra space that made a big difference and was a lot of help when needing to spread out more We have stayed in Times Sq and that was fun but hotel rooms are pretty small

This room for the extra space and wonderful staff made it a great trip Will stay here again

Adam H

My wife and I have stayed in New York many times When we are going to the theatre it is nice to stay near the Theatre District We stayed in The Pearl recently

It was terrific We’d stayed at a nearby 5 star our previous trip By comparison the Pearl’s rooms were much larger and nicer The hotel staff were great And the place was $150 per night cheaper than what we paid at the 5 star This was an EXCELLENT hotel and we’ll be staying there again in the future!

Nathaniel Franklin

We stayed here for five nights and the location could not be more perfect This place is quite literally in the heart of major theaters (across the street from book of Mormon and next door to Chicago) and around the corner from time square Even that close, the rooms were quiet at night

The staff was great and the rooms had fully controllable temperature which is a rarity I will say the shower head in the bathroom needs some work though

We needed to find a clean and comfortable hotel, walking distance from my cousin’s apartment in the Columbus Circle area and after reading through the reviews, I was a bit skeptical to book But seeing that it was only a block away from her place, we took a chance and stayed there for 3 nightsThe location is very convenient, an under 10 minute walk from the subway stop at Columbus Circle

The hotel is also surrounded with plenty of restaurant choices, food market, coffee places, pizza shops, pharmacies and bus lines that can take you cross town easilyPrice was very affordable and rooms are very clean The front desk (morning shift staff), are very friendly I also saw the hotel manager serving their guests as well and that was a very pleasant site seeing that she was there to oversee things We did not get a chance to check out their breakfast but was told that there’s breakfast available daily between 6:30 to 9 am Front desk also allowed us to get checked in at 10:30 am because they happened to have rooms available and that was a big bonus as we were all tired from our red eye flightTruly grateful for that! Will definitely be staying there again on our next visit to NYC Keep up the great work!

Yoli G.

The rooms had everything I needed The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size considering it’s in New York The bathroom could have been a little cleaner

It smelled like urine perhaps they should use bleach They have a good size gym with the basic equipment The breakfast was not best but certainly not the worst Although the coffee was very good The hotel is located in a convenient area and it’s within walking distance to major interest points such as Central Park and Time Square

serge daix

Nice hotel located in a quiet area Very comfortable beds, nice bathroom Room size fine

Unfortunately if all the staff was fine One receptionist was really not helping and difficult to deal with Other negative point we had 2 rooms for 4 nights, both rooms have been cleaned (and towels changed only once)But I still would say it’s a good hotel

We loved our rooms Having the kitchen island area to work instead of a desk was great and everything was really clean The location is great with a good view of NYC

On our last day in New Jersey we went to explore NYC We had asked the front desk if we needed to move our car or if the parking pass would still let us out They informed us the pass didn’t expire until the end of the day When we got back to our car and went to leave the card wouldn’t let us out and we had to pay $18 in addition to the $22 for parking we paid every day we were there It was a good stay but only about half of the front desk staff were great

Lilly Chris

Really great hotel! It made our stay in New York more relaxed and special Very clean and modern suite, and kitchen had all utensils necessary for cooking and eating, dishwasher was also there, and washing powder provided Personnel was also very friendly and helpful

New York city easy to reach by public transport, bus or ferry The view of New York was stunning

Monica Mak

This hotel is so pretty It’s right by the water

the only thing is, they don’t have any rooms that are waterfront directly but you can definitely see the water from the side window The suite is so spacious and updated I love how it has a full kitchen and a huge refrigerator The woman at the front desk was very polite Parking is $22 in the garage that’s located right outside of the hotel Make sure you let the front desk person know that you will be going in & out so you can retrieve a parking pass for a one time fee It’s very close to NYC!! Complimentary breakfast… don’t expect a full meal It was breakfast sandwiches, cereal, quick meals Still good 🙂 the only thing is I wish they had a pool but it was still a great stay This will be my new go to hotel when I come into town Thank you Residence Inn!!!

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area

I’ve been staying here for a long time If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I’m sure!Such an amazing experience Me and my friends stayed here over the weekend for my birthday because we wanted to visit NYC The entire staff was incredible, and the young woman that was working at the cafe made our coffees perfectly The food was incredible as well Not to mention the bus stop to go into NYC was only a couple minutes away on foot! I can’t wait to stay here again!!!

First let me say that the rooms were nice, clean They leave you a disinfectant wipe to clean what you might want to like say the remote, etc I would stay here again if visiting Edgewater

BUT, what is up with the water pressure in the shower??? It is non-existent!!!! Such a nice big shower and no water pressure!! I washed my hair and instantly regretted it as I could not get all the shampoo/conditioner rinsed out of my hair They need to do better!!Also, another thingthe mattress we had has definitely seen some action It has seen better days and needs to be replaced At first you think, oh how comfortable but quickly found out that my husband and I cuddled every night whether we wanted to or not, as we sunk to the middleAnd my husband and I only stayed 2 nights The hotel is in a nice area, stores, restaurants close by A police station literally right there Nice walkway along the water with a beautiful view of the city, Manhattan Ferries to the city not far Just SO disappointing that I could not enjoy a nice shower and get a better nights sleep

My experience was terrible I’ve been a Marriott member since 2010 when I traveled heavily for work This was the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at

The shower was dirty, the bathroom sink clogged and would fill with water I asked for more towels and wash clothes and only received towels In the morning my phone was ringing at 6:30am, but stopped Then an hour or so later housekeeping was knocking on the door I politely answered we weren’t requiring a cleaning They STILL tried to get in the room Luckily I had the stop lock on Around 10:30 they started knocking again!!! I opened the door and said I was not checked out yet! I then received a phone call in the room saying they thought I was checked out I kindly but frustratingly explained check out was not until 12pm and I was still getting dressed! I complained to the manager at the front desk at checkout and was offered 3,000 rewards He was very kind and listened to my concerns I was happy with the 3,000 rewards and felt valued and heard However, I NEVER received the rewards points Hence, writing this review I will never stay at this Marriott again!

This is a very decent business-oriented boutique hotel- I really like the compact front desk & hallway and the minimalist aesthetics Room of course is the New York small but is very clean The accompanied restaurant is also compact but nice

I know this is probably not the properties’ fault but after Hilton changes the way Diamond members get food credit the credit here couldn’t even cover a basic breakfast, which is disappointing The wifi needs some work as well

I most say for the price being so low I am happy with with my stay here Room was clean 5/5Bathroom was clean 5/5Service was great 5/5Bed was comfortable 46/5Only down fall is there was no waters in the room or vending in the hotel

Not a big deal I know but convenience is nice, overall nice place to stay for business trip or a weekend stay in the cityTrip

Rooms could do more/better cleaning, I found a couple of hairs in my bathroom Very unpleasantThe hotel reception gentleman who received us was very welcoming and helpful

They have blankets in beds instead of duvets which I think it is not hygienic as they don’t get washed per guess stayThe hotel decor is fab and I love it, i can’t get enough of the wall paper and drawings The rooms decor are a little bit more bland with comfortable beds Good size for an NY hotel with 2 large windows which I welcomedNoisy air-conditioningMy room had an American bath tub with a shower over it and curtainAmenities on the poor side with hand soap, body milk, body gel and shampoo No bath rope nor sleepers in the roomSmall deep wardrobe with iron and iron board and small safeRecommended specially for its location

I was so excited to stay at this hotel It looked great and in a fun part of town I had a Very, very disappointing stay

I checked in, and the staff member could not have been any less attentive She didn’t smile; she told me nothing about the hotel (is there a bar, a fitness centre, or what is near)I had a small room, no mini bar in the room, and no coffee makerOn their Hotel Services screen in the room, they say you can have complimentary coffee, tea and water 24 hours a day, ask at the front desk When you ask, they say, “Oh no, Only between 06:00 and 11:30 “, so they are false Advertising their services The fitness centre is also not open 24 hours as advertised in the rooms Just a nasty place all around Even 2* South African hotels are usually way better equippedI will most definitely never stay here again, and for the price, you would expect a lot more I would instead move back to the Hilton Millennium, where they always treat you well and provide excellent service

Tyler Barrett

Overall, a great place to stay The location is conveniently located within walking distance to public transit as well as shops/restaurants in midtown Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful

The hotel has a jazz theme which felt cool and inviting The room was clean, spacious for Manhattan, and we were lucky enough to also have a great view Would definitely recommend to others, and would stay here again

Great location View depends on your room location The room was the min one should expect for a 4 star hotel

Nice bed and comfortable pillows Weird layout TV in sitting area would not turn off A/c in room kept slamming on and off and was a poor quality window rattler The front desk staff appeared to be burden by guests Security was lacking Although you’ll need a room key to access floors, this is by passed by guests allowing delivery people to tailgate No cameras on the floors Parking is $35 per night but no security patrolling the lotConvenient to NYC Make sure to get out and take a stroll on the boardwalk

Katie Natuzzi
