For a hotel you need to spend a night or two away, this place honestly gets the job done No complaints on my end Not overly luxurious but not a drop dead dirty motel

While we loved the room and the staff was great it was a heck of a long walk to the rooms at the other end of the hall!The pool needed to be skimmed and there were no towels We had to go searching for someone to bring some then they never came back to bring more

I am currently staying at this location I checked in last night for a 3 night stay On arrival, my family of 4 and I only had a set towels for two people

I had to request towels for my family and I on 3 separate occasions I called to remind the front desk and eventually sent my nephew downstairs to retrieve what we needed Tonight we arrived after a day of sight seeing and the ENTIRE parking lot is full because of 2 parties on site I had to park across the street at the mall As a paying customer, I don’t feel that is providing excellent customer service I have the recommendation to have the guest of those hosting the party RSVP so that they can get a count of how many parking passes are needed for the mall parking Those visiting the property for the festivities should be made to park at the mall As a paying customer, I find this unacceptableWhen I brought this issue to the front desk personnel, I was just told they had two parties going on, and that they were sorry for the inconvenience I will not be returning here

I wanted a budget motel that didn’t have the scuzzy characters that you would find at a Motel 6, nor did I want a place that catered to people with pets, so Value Inn fits the bill It is nicely maintained on exterior, with lovely rose gardens lining the parking lot The rooms are clean, but not spotless

The TV worked well and the towels were not scratchy There was a little refrigerator in the room where we were able to preserve our take ot food and drinks There is a liquor store right next door( how convenient!) If they had coffee in the motel or the rooms it would have been a plus, but Solid Coffee Roasters, on Bellflower Blvd nearby, has excellent coffee For a good bagel or croissant, go the the iconic Bellflower Bagels, which sports the California Deco giant concrete doughnut on it’s roof There are tons of Mexican, Asian and Mediterranean restaurants in the Greater Long Beach and bars galore, so food and entertainment is plentifulThe motel staff is helpful and pleasant I would stay there again, no problem

Don’t stay there unless you want your Catalytic converter stolen We parked in their well lit structure late at night and the next morning it was gone They have absolutely no cameras on their property for your safety besides the lobby

When i told the front desk she didn’t seemed surprised or apologetic as if this is a regular occurrence I understand not wanting to be held responsible but they should at least have cameras for safety or in the event of a crime NEVER staying there again!

Came a week ago Feb 2022 and we got 3 rooms and everything was nice 👍🏽The receptionist was friendly and assisted us right away! I love that the parking is free and everything was close I have always loved the beds here at the Hilton ❤️ my room was clean and well organized I took a nice bath 🛀 and everything was perfect 👍🏽!I slept peacefully until the woman next door was crying and having an argument with her husband 🤦🏽‍♀️ other than that everything was nice and pleasant !Definitely recommend this hotel 🏨You will get a good nights rest for sure !Also they had a coffee / tea maker and I made myself a cup before checking out ❤️✅

I picked this hotel because it was closest to a wedding venue I was attending Sadly the room quality was very very poor Although the rooms are updated and they have excellent cable nice double beds, the cleanliness of the rooms, lacked in abundance

There were burn wholes in our bed sheets and stains was well The floor was so dirty that the bottoms of my new sandals were black with dirt The sink in the room just outside the bathroom I believe has well water instead of regular water from a main line because it smelled so so bad whenever I wanted to wash my hands or brush my teeth it was unbearable As far as location, it was great but everything else was just not up to par I had to clean the toilet myself once we checked in And the iron is tied with metal wire to the ironing board thus making it difficult to iron anything properly

From past experience in California Hilton hotels I was expecting for the hotel to be smelling, dirty and rude staff I would highly recommend the hotel as the staff is amazing very professional

The rooms are extremely clean and the noise level was Amazon AC was so cold and no noise what so ever The kids had an amazing time in the pool To top it off we had an amazing view Lake outside our window The breakfast was not bad They do offer a a large amount of options for breakfast kids and adults will enjoy over all the best hotel experience in California so far… not to mention the free parking Indoor or outside Also very close to Santa Monica and universal studios great hotel great staff will definitely be back

Stayed here a few nights on a work trip The room was nice and big with a couch and a desk The location is easy to get to and there are several good restaurants within walking distance

The breakfast here was also better than other Hilton hotels that I’ve stayed at They were serving breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits/croissants, and ham, egg, and cheese biscuits/croissants) Will definitely stay there again on my next work trip

My family and I booked a lake view 2 queen beds, 1 full sofa bed with a kitchen Our stay here was amazing The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free breakfast was great had many options and a waffle bar

Our room had a great view of the golf course and lake, was very clean comfortable and roomy , the kitchen area had a sink , dishwasher, a fridge with a tremendous amount of space for the food and drinks we brought , a microwave and dishes/flatware/toaster/etc my husband and I had our three children with us so the indoor pool was great and not to mention the gym that our two older boys loved as it was 24 hrs There was an area we didn’t get to utilize which was the bbq area that you can bbq out on a beautiful floor level patio area This is a dog friendly hotel which I really wasn’t too sure about as my husband has very bad pet allergies but the staff there has the hotel so clean that you couldn’t even tell that there were any animals there until you saw them My family and I enjoyed this place so much that we extended our stay another day The room service was also great (upon request) They were very friendly and trustworthy Parking was free which was nice and seemed to have plenty of spaces The location was easy to find and in a nice safe area and had many places to choose from to eat close by Our stay at this location was outstanding and will be staying here again for future vacations

And wow it lives up to expectations The room we got looked like it could be at a luxury hotel, the check-in was timely and very welcoming The only thing that tripped them up was the pin number but very minor issueThe manager ws always around and whenever we rung to ask them something they answered promptly and professionallyAs a kiwi I was unaware I had to request room service but the manager called and explained how it works They also work into whatever time of the day suits10/10 would stay here again and also recommend it to others

So at the last minute I was looking for a place to stay for eight consecutive days I had some Airbnb options; however, since I had favorable experiences with Friendly Hills Inn in the past I thought maybe I would get lucky to find eight consecutive days where I could get to stay in the same room without having to move aroundThe front desk staff was very helpful in assisting me to get what I wanted and they honored the military rate which I really appreciated I do feel safe at this hotel, Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA It’s easy to get into and out of and the rooms themselves are very comfortableI like the different lighting options even though I do bring my own nightlight for the bathroom sink area The air conditioner works very nicely and in a quiet manner There’s a microwave, a medium-sized mini fridge as well as a small coffee maker The hotel room is modern contemporary and there’s a variety of softer and harder pillows so depending on if you want to sit up in bed against the bed frame or lay down you have options I like that the light switch to turn off the main lights and the lamp is right next to the bedAmenities about nearby including restaurants shopping etc there are delicious made-from-scratch soups at the “California Grill Restaurant”, and I did enjoy Huevos a la Mexicana at “Mr Giants”Discovered a great store called Upscale Collectibles on Greenleaf; a wonderful collection of gently used furniture, jewelry, books, clothing, shoes, dish ware, linens and more Great people work thereSo I will definitely stay here again at Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA Again I had the option to stay at an Airbnb which I had booked just in case this hotel wasn’t available for eight consecutive days but having both options available, Friendly Hills Inn and the Airbnb, I decided to choose Friendly Hills Inn and that’s a win-win for both myself as well as the good people who run it The owners are quite nice and professional I will definitely stay here again Thank you Friendly Hills Inn! I booked four nights When we arrived the room (324) they gave us had no working AC, and the phone didn’t work to call the front desk about it So they moved us to 330

The next day we went and explored LA When we got back in the afternoon, our keys didn’t work, and a privacy sign was hung on the door I went to the front desk and she had no idea what was going on After continuously asking, she admitted that they put someone else in our room I asked where our bags and stuff were and she had no idea She said the manager was on her way When the manager arrived it was not the manager It was the person who took our stuff out of our room They refunded us, but we had to find another hotel and Uber there We were out half a day, stranded with our bags trying to find a room I’ve never been treated so bad by a hotel

2 stars because the guy at the front desk was nice and helpful But when we arrived a homeless person without a shirt search for food in the garbage right in front of our room’s door Then we had to call someone because the very same person took a bath in the pool

We decided to no let the kids in the pool after that We informed the front desk about that incident and he offered us 20 % discountThe breakfast was a disaster The room for breakfast is far too small I know Best Western but the food was exceptionally bad here We had to eat in the room because there was no space left Next time we book another hotel and have a breakfast somewhere else

After unpacking I quickly realized I forgot to bring a travel toothpaste, so I headed back up front and a gentleman provided me with complimentary toothpasteAs always DoubleTree provided their delicious cookies My stay was quick, but this is a nice property If you have more time, it sits right in the parking lot of the Citadel outlets
