For our daughter’s wedding, our guests stayed at the Viana We held our daughter’s wedding-after-party at the Viana and had a fabulously, fresh breakfast the following morning We worked with Erin to help plan the many details that were needed

She was extremely responsive to our emails and able to add her experience to the many questions we had to make the evening run smoothly The staff was very friendly and helpful The bartenders were great-friendly and accommodating All of our guests were very happy!

Bri Barbieri

I just had my room block here for my wedding last weekend and everything was perfect from beginning to end Erin was so sweet and made the process so easy I had to add on additional rooms after my first block was filled and there was no problem at all

The night of the wedding, the shuttle transported people back and forth in a timely and safe manner We even had a little after party at the bar and everyone was so kind and friendly All our guests said the rooms were nice and clean and we enjoyed our honeymoon suite–they decorated with rose petals and had a bottle of champagne on ice with us and chocolate covered strawberries! I wouldn’t have changed a single thing 🙂 thank you Erin and team!

S Michael

The front desk staff was amazing and hospitality was on point The beds were comfortable and the room was clean We needed more blankets and they accommodated our request without hesitation

Hotel in need of minor aesthetic improvements however only noticeable if you are a designer The location is great close to the mall and eateries Overall good experience and will return

I have stayed at The Roslyn multiple times in the last year and will continue to come back whenever I’m in the area The hotel is kept in great condition and all of the rooms are always very clean and updated, with high ceilings that make the rooms feel very spacious The staff is extremely welcoming, professional and willing to help with anything to make your stay better

In particular, Kelly on the staff always greets you with a bright smile and has helped me with everything from finding a good place to eat in town to making sure everything in my room was to my liking Kelly goes out of her way to make sure your stay is the best possible! I will definitely be returning to The Roslyn for future stays and recommend it to anyone

My first visit to this hotel was for dinner with live music and psychic entertainment The ambiance was most welcoming, and the three-course meal was delicious Our group included Chicken Wings, Caesar Salad, and Lobster Bisque to start

All declared theirs to be the best choice The dinner choices we loved were a tasty Smash Burger, Chicken Milanese, and Penne with Grilled Chicken Dessert included Cheesecake with fresh Strawberries and Raspberry Sorbet I can’t wait to go there again; it was that deliciously fun

Stacey Brooks

This was a really nice place to just kick back and have a quiet night The bed was very comfortable and the bedding very nice quality The room was large and open and well appointed for our needs

I especially loved the open hallways that were light and bright and airyNo funky odors in this place It was super clean The restaurant made a fine breakfast and the whole stay was really reasonable What we liked best is that it isn’t like a cookie cutter kinda place It has that old Long Island feel and the people were super nice

I stayed for three nights at the Hilton Gardens Inn Roslyn I found the hotel to be very clean and bright There were two small, but cute patios with comfortable chairs in an area that was serene that you could sit in

The rooms were spacious and comfortable There was a Keurig coffee machine, microwave, mini fridge in the room and big closet The bathroom was big and the shower was great I enjoyed the 24hr market that you could get snacks, yogurt, cereal, beverages, frozen foods, coffee, etc I also had the breakfast for $1699 and ate dinner at the restaurant The wait staff for both were very nice and efficient Also, I used the app to check in 24hrs before and my room was ready when I arrived I would return for future stays

Alexander Abdalla (TheCirrusGamer)

I really want to give this hotel a high rating, but I can’t exactly do that The room was absolutely gorgeous, but the restaurant service was very slow, and one of the waitresses did not communicate very clearly on questions regarding items on the menu In addition, the pool and hot tub also happened to be closed

I just needed to stay here for one night before getting a COVID test and visiting family, and wanted some entertainment, but sadly not Maybe I just stayed on a bad day I do truly believe it is a great place, it’s just my experience this one particular day was not so good

Lauren Levy

The department which handles room blocks for weddings is an absolute disaster I worked with Stefanie and the communication was poor throughout (no response for 2+ weeks, following up multiple times, getting an email back from her that was a complete sentence was like pulling teeth) but she reassured me every time we spoke that everything was “all good” and I really thought everything was “all good” up until 3 days before my wedding I just happened to login to the Hilton Honors website to check my booking and I noticed the reservation that I had booked via Stefanie for the premium room which they dub their “bridal suite” had changed

They had us checking out of that room on our wedding morning and moving to a different room I looked back at my confirmation email from June 2021 to make sure I wasn’t going crazy but sure enough the reservation had changed, with absolutely no notice from anyone, no email that my reservation had been modified, no phone call If I hadn’t checked the website we would have been in the middle of getting ready for the wedding with no idea we were supposed to check-out that day and go into another room We had 9 girls + 4 person hair/makeup team which is why we needed the premium room Stefanie was away so she couldn’t be reached when I called I spoke to Megan who said “something happened last weekend with the premium room’s availability” AKA they overbooked it They let me and the girls stay in the room and get ready until we had to leave for my wedding at 1:40PM but it was extremely stressful having to run back and forth moving our stuff into a new room when we were on such a time crunch I completely filled my 50-room block and booked an 85 person brunch the next day and this is the kind of customer service that is provided hereThey wouldn’t even comp the room for their mistakeThe hotel itself is nice but do not trust the sales staff when they tell you that you’re “good to go” or everything is “all good”

** PAID PARKING ** didn’t mention this at all during check in and who would expect paid parking at this location! Anyways – room was clean and big enough for the 5 of us and wouldn’t complainCourteous front desk and good assortment of breakfast though it’s a repeat every dayIf you want to avoid the paid parking, park on the street or the Whole Foods lot

Or pay $10 a day

Stayed here today for a day use had a virtual meeting The front desk attendant was lovely and responsive Breakfast was also very nice

I tried to call and see if I could stay one more hour- I would have paid extra- however the attendant at the front did not let me get any more words out and was rather dismissive Would appreciate next time, if they could let me finish my sentence It was fine if it was a no and I am quite capable of I understanding that Otherwise, very nice and would stay there again Clean!!

Patrick A

You’re greeted upon entry by a wholesome fresh smell throughout the lobby and hallways nicely matching up to the modern aesthetic first impression visually And the room did not disappoint either Generous sized, spotlessly clean, airy with a well laid out bathroom and a practical kitchenette

I absolutely have no complaints about the service as the staff were all friendly and always willing to help Breakfast is okay

David Rahbany

Service makes the difference hereWhile 5 stars is a bit of a stretch when evaluating the quality of the rooms and food (really more like a 3-4 star hotel) the staff at this hotel are FIVE STARS They have all been very polite and helpful, giving me more than I expect at each and every turn

What a difference nice people make to an experience Bravo Marriott, keep these people on your team

Andrew Yowler

This hotel deserves 6 stars, but 5 will have to suffice We needed a hotel last second after our flight was canceled out of JFK and this was the only hotel that had rooms available Took a shot booking here simply wanting a bed instead of sleeping in the airport terminal

All our winter clothes were stuck in the airport and the kind gentleman at this hotel at the front desk literally gave me the jacket off his back to go grab a bite down the street in 10 degree weather Even sent their shuttle to pick us up at the restaurant to go back to the hotel at 12:30am so we wouldn’t have to walk in the frigid weather Incredible kindness The breakfast the next morning was a nice touchGreat spot if you need a clean, safe place to crash around JFK Seemed like a mom and pop kind of place Top notch… super grateful for these people after a brutal travel day

Brandie Foster

I LOVE this hotel! It’s kind of old, BUT it’s extremely clean every time I stay here and the bed is comfortable and there’s a fridge and microwave in every room I think the excellent customer service can’t be beat! Every single person I encountered here from the van driver, the front desk and the cleaning staff are soo nice and helpful I’ve stayed here about 5 times for work (flight attendant) and will continue coming here

The only thing I don’t love is there is no coffee maker in the room so have to get dressed and go downstairs to get my coffee, but all the other good stuff makes up for that

Tamara Stump

Not sure why the bad reviews My stay was great Staff was nice and helpful

The room was clean, beds comfortable etc As far as breakfast it was fine for a quick bite, if you want a fancy breakfast then stay at a $400 a night hotel The breakfast is basic and something to get you by, its not meant to be anything else People complain about it not being healthy and then said they went to Burger King 🤔 Ummm ok, as if that is healthy If you want a decent stay, reasonable price then this is the place They even have a coin operated laundry so you can wash your clothes

I was visiting a person who stayed there to do her wedding and they staff went above and beyond to satisfy not only me but the bride Everyone was polite, respectful and eager to make the day special Although I wasn’t a guest, usually when visiting it’s a bit strenuous at other hotels

They were very nice to me both days I showed up And for the wedding it was nothing but smiling faces even under pressure

Shermaine

Overall hotel was decent, front staff was friendly, and helpful, room was small but it served the purpose for my stay, they need to update there information about dvd players in the room, there was nothing in my room, also the transportation near there was ok I had to ask for a pen, and paper which should be standard in the room, and their should be a information book of some sort to tell you what’s in the area But it’s all good thankful for apps

Stephen Dan

Be careful of front desk Hispanic male I tried to catch his attention for a good minute, but did not look up

I said hi, hello, excuse me, but I can definitely sense he was doing it on purpose The moment he decided to respond he ask me with an uncomfortable tone, “are you staying here?” Hispanic dude with fake white hair lol I would definitely book elsewhere Customer service is definitely not one of their strong suits

Very comfortable beds, clean updated rooms It was fairly quiet there and our family got lots of rest after a long flight The location is good in regards to fast food (Wendy’s, McDonald’s and gas stations closeby), might not be safe to be walking outside after dark though

Hotel does lock doors and has a security guard at the front desk at night Breakfast had good options Service was good – we asked the front desk to call a taxi cab for us They called our room and informed us when taxi arrived Overall very pleased with our stay

Honestly a beautiful experience! The rooms are vacation worthy!!!! I always need to talk about their beds as well & I say just perfect!! Marriott also has a full breakfast that is included with your room!!! Very delicious!! The employees here are helpful & pleasant This hotel is also surrounded by plenty of stores & restaurants I really don’t feel like checking out today but all good things must end lol!!!!!!

Raquel Prescott

Although the hotel is brand new and clean, the management team is not the most organized They can do better with their payment processes and how they communicate them to customers, especially if purchased through 3rd party companies like bookingcom

I’ve stayed at this location twice and enjoyed the convenience of the hotel’s location and cleanliness But unfortunately, due to a lack of organization and poor communication skills, I am choosing to no longer return to this hotel when I am in New York

Maria Recalde

The night staff was very professional but in the morning during our check out I let the front lady know one of the towels looked like it was full of blood, and she looked at the picture and said NOTHING, I’m not sure if she treated us differently because we used our free night but we have been using lots of Marriott hotels for years all over the US Im sure she can see that I almost used that towel with our baby thinking it was new like the rest of the towels We just wanted a simple apology to make ourselves feel better after almost using it with out baby

Breakfast, pool, gym and the room were really nice

My first point of contact was Jessica in sales She worked with me on the menu and making sure we stayed within our budget She is quick to respond to questions and extremely accommodating!Antonella and Kenia from food and beverage service ran our corporate BBQ event and they are the most amazing team! They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond! This venue is a great place to stay and to host an event

Truly a wonderful experience

Christopher Abreu

This hotel is very nice! Comfortable and clean room, floors are well kept, and the grounds are very decorative Minor issues with my stay: bathroom sink handle was loose, new parking charge implemented (complimentary when I had made the reservation), and some communication issues I called prior to the reservation and was told breakfast was buffet style, then during check in I learned it was made to order and a separate charge

I must have missed something but this along with the new parking charge had me stressed out the night of check in Fortunately the daily parking charge was removed during check out with receipt of my email reservation

My husband and I had to change hotels multiple times for our wedding Covid postponed it 4 times and it seemed like every date we got the hotel wasn’t able to accommodate our large group Holiday Inn took care of us and made sure that our guest and us were taken care of

They gave us space to be able to do hair and makeup and gave us the option to keep the bar open late! We had a BLAST and they were pleasant every step of the way! We had our wedding 8/14/21

Steven

Last time I stayed here the fire alarm went off every hour for 4 hours between 1am and 5am I ended up checking out earlyThe room is disgustingly dirty and nothing feels clean

The room originally given to me was preoccupied The second room the carpet felt dirty and had crumbs all over the placeThe bed was saggy and not comfortable at all It was by far the worst stay at a hotel I ever hadThe location to the highway is probably the best part of this hotel

Gene Melton

The rooms were nice and clean and appeared to be recently remodeled The staff at the desk were friendly and accommodating When I checked in I was told the hotel had not started serving breakfast yes because of the pandemic but the did serve lunch and dinner

The website said continental hot breakfast served Guess the owners are too cheap to serve breakfast and use the pandemic as an excuse The cons was the halls smelled like marijuana at any time of day I figure the staff were in their work areas smoking marijuana No matter what time I returned, always some shady characters sitting in the parking lot or outside the buildings I would watch them approach cars for about a minute and car would drive off Selling drugs? not sure but that seemed to be what was going on Never felt safe walking from the car to the front doors No one ever threatened me but I was watched real hard walking in I travel to the area on business Definitely will not stay their again and I would not recommend others to stay there especially if you are a lone woman or a family with kids

The staff here is great I helped my friends check in late Saturday night and there were at least a few people working the front lobby Natasha at reception was especially helpful, giving us all the information we needed

Check in was quick and painless (wish all places were like this) The room’s interior was classy and we were able to settle in without issue Thanks for the hospitality!

Sujil Maharjan

The rooms were okay Besides the bed, everything is an add-on even if you are in “The king suite” or the bridal suite was mediocre for the price

I only stayed here because the wedding venue next door provided these rooms for freeOne thing I was most annoyed of was their breakfast When we checked in, the front staff specifically said breakfast until 10:30 am I get there at 10:15 They had taken everything out and there was nothing to eat Apparently its only for the weekend They could have provided right information Hi had to leave hungry in the morning The rooms were mehh I’ve stayed at much better places for the price it was advertised in

RiggsYour LifeAway

I will never go there again Was in area for work and just needed to stay one night The room was out dated and just smelled old

There was a bug in my room and they had wires hanging (pictures) Was not comfortable sleep at all and I was charged extra $100 dollars on my bill Who really cares about anything else (service, food, etc) didn’t even try any of that if you have to sleep in dirty smelling room with bugs and wires all over why stay Don’t stay staying away!

Went for dinner and drinks with work friends We were a group of 8 people Had called in advance for seating and the table was set and ready for us at the appointed time

They sat us right by the fish tank which is very pretty The waitress, Kathy, was excellent and courteous We all had the price fix meal which was great Appetizer, dinner and dessert It was spaced out perfectly, not rushed but not so long between courses for us to wonder where our food was This allowed us to enjoy our dinner and have nice conversation It was a great evening Everybody enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the service

Lovely inn in Cold Spring Harbor We had 2 rooms, 1st and 3rd floors which were both very clean and comfortable Deidre was a very accommodating hostess who allowed us to bring our dinner back to the inn and eat in the sitting room

There was a nice sitting area outside on the deck but too cold yet for us to use Coffee and tea available 24 hours as well Would definitely recommend

My wife and I needed a place for a short “stay-cation” about a month ago, and often have a difficult time finding a place knowledgeable and flexible enough for MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) Most places use industrial cleaners, standard detergents and “green” cleaning supplies, which can cause havoc on the chemically sensitive (many green cleaners are still highly toxic when exposed) Not only was Deirdre knowledgeable and well versed in many of our challenges, she took the time to listen to our list of requirements

Once she understood our needs, she went FAR above and beyond to make other comfortable arrangements for us that left us astoundedWe’ve been to other hotels, motels, and B&B’s, and very few came even close to taking the interest in our comfort and needs From the first moment Grace inquired about what products they use to clean the location and launder their linens, to the moment we left after almost a week at this historic home, we felt like family Deirdre is so gracious! She took every opportunity to ensure we were comfortable, and to really listen to all that was said as well as that which was not She doesn’t miss a thingI have been in the Hospitality industry for a long time, and I really appreciated the attention to details; the “going the extra mile” as we say in the biz Anticipating the needs of the guests is one of the specialties of Harbor Rose Beds were comfy, the view was amazing (stayed on the second floor with the balcony), and a cozy working fireplace! There were many amenities like the really great organic, gluten-free vegan breakfast bundles that were provided daily for all their guests, You could see and taste they were made with love The home baked breakfast breads were outstanding, the fruits and snacks on point, and the other included goodies were very thoughtful! The water was filtered in the entire home too! I can’t say enough great things about our experience We look forward to the next rendezvous Many blessings 🙏

Beautiful old building with so much character The rooms are super clean You are allowed to use the living room as you wish so we played Yatzee

Our two pugs were allowed to stay with us (for a fee) However, when you consider the costs of keeping a BnB as clean and immaculate as this one is, there are costs to maintain the building Deirdre is super flexible as far as hours to come and go and very accommodating to anything you might need Would definitely recommend and will stay here again

I stayed there for almost 2 months for two years in a row They should have welcomed me as regular guest but instead of that they showed me very much attitude Staff was very unprofessional

I always used to even tip them to clean my room but my room was never cleaned properly Also one day they randomly told me that I have to leave the hotel for playing loud music in my room They could have gave me warning but instead of that they asked me to leave!! I’ll never forget this horrible experience I had to face, staff was racist, rude & unprofessional I’m a Hampton inn regular customer but the location in garden city is the worse one, they really need to work on the hotel staff, I wasn’t living there for FREE!!!!!!

The front desk staff was unprofessional and unfriendly My room was not cleaned for 3 days Apparently at this hotel you have to affirmatively request for your room to be cleaned no less than 24 hours in advance

First time domestically or internationally I’ve seen a hotel implement this type of policy There was a frigid draft coming into my hotel room from below the AC/heat unit I ended up booking and using a different hotel for the remainder of my stay Much better experience and only 5 minutes away

Booked this hotel via a 3rd party booking service, and there was a glitch in the app so when we got to the hotel, the rates were different because it was a weekend Spoke to the front desk attendant about the issue, and while very courteous, they could only lower our rate by $20 that evening based on their rates, which was $100 over our initial booking rate Since we were from out of state and celebrating our Anniversary, we decided to stay, as we wanted to begin our night of relaxing and quality time

That weekend, there happened to be a big wedding hosted at the hotel, so we ended up across the hall from rowdy guests Not the hotels fault Staff was very attentive and professional The room was really great Beautiful decor and very clean We easily got to the train station 5 minutes away and were in Times Square in 40 minutes The following day, we toured New Rochelle, which was nice, a lot of hand painted murals to see, and a diversity of food choices Nice weekend get away

The noise from band is horrible I like to have a good time too and chose this hotel due to its proximity to I 95 Traveling and needed sleep

This you do not get here If I had known it was going to be this noisy, I would not have stayed If you are looking for a nice place to rest while traveling, this is not the place to stop You would be better off sleeping in your car

The property is beautiful and well maintained Rooms are clean My stay was on a weekend, didn’t get a chance to sample breakfast

Beautiful hotel nice spacious rooms majority of the staff is pleasant and helpful, rooms kept clean , and the hotel is always quiet but be aware of the egotistical manager Travis who has no compassion and consideration of a miss understanding that could have been cleared in 2 seconds, but when certain people are put in a position of Power then they power trip A miss understanding of my kids charging ice cream to my room and my card not being billed because I had to cancel my cards because I lost my wallet resulted in Travis kicking me and my 5 year old daughter out and his exact words were “Things happen good luck”

Good luck to him Karma always comes back
