Deja at the front desk was AMAZING! She gave a great intro, noticed my birthday, and gave me a great room! Also staff at the bar was great too The staff at this hotel felt like one big happy family which was nice to see versus some of the large cookie cutter hotels in large chain hotelsRoom was great and so was the rooftop!

Chloe Flowers

We had an emergency stay here about a year ago due to our property management company neglecting the property we rented Viceroy was completely accommodating, kind and lovely We had four pets, two dogs and two cats, and they had no problem allowing them to stay with us

We had forgotten a litter box in the chaos of leaving our rental home and they brainstormed and got us a makeshift one that worked out perfectlyThe room was clean, nice and well lit with huge windows The lobby area was clean and large We enjoyed our stay during this stressful time and they helped us feel at home away from home We will always be looking at Viceroy for our trips going forward!

Heidi Morales-Hake

I would first like to say that I hope The Viceroy will take this feedback and make this property better, because it truly has lots of potential The hotel is beautifully decorated, but is lacking in basic amenities The hotel staff was really nice and for the most part, the rooms were great (size-wise, layout, etc)

There’s a great restaurant, Dovetail, located on the first floor and it is phenomenalWhere The Viceroy fell short was the poor AC circulation in the rooms and the rooftop pool area During our 3 night stay, our room did not cool at all The cold air was blowing from the AC unit, but it didn’t stay cool It made it very uncomfortable to sleep and we had to constantly turn on the AC, since it would automatically turn off on its own We asked the front desk about the AC issue and they said it was a common issue at all their properties, and there wasn’t anything they could do The second big issue was the pool area, which turned out to be a disappointment Not only was the Hush Rooftop Bar not open for the 3 days we spent at the pool, but it was nearly impossible to find snacks/food on the hotel premise during the pool hours The BPM coffee and wine shop closes at 1pm, and the Hush Rooftop Bar opens at 5pm and is not available during pool hours We had to bring outside food and drinks to the pool area, which was a huge inconvenience The hotel is missing out on an opportunity to cater to the poolside crowd between 1-5pm Aside from this, the pool was dirty, cloudy and we found all sorts of plastic cups, and chunks of hair floating in the pool We asked the staff assigned to the pool to please pass the net, but it was pretty obvious the pool hadn’t been cleaned in a while I’ve never seen this at any other pool I’ve been to, and know it’s a small task that goes a long wayI don’t don’t how The Viceroy is considered a 4-star hotel, but if they’re going to claim and charge like a 4-star hotel, they should put the effort into being one

I had a 2 night stay here last week and I was greeted by Mia who was a very friendly and informative employee She even offered to look up restaurants/closest wine stores nearby for me when I inquired I really appreciated the kindness upon arriving

My room was very clean and and modern and the shades made the room dark for sleeping The only issue I had were some very noisy neighbors around midnight which lasted until around 1:30, which sounded like they were moving furniture around for 45 minutes and banging on the walls, but that is not the hotel’s fault I enjoyed the breakfast and always available coffee/tea in the lobby as well I was going into DC and the Greenbelt Metro station was a 10 minute drive from the hotel, which was very convenient also I look forward to staying here again the future

Kayle Mabry

I always travel for work and always stay here when I’m in town It’s one of the cleanest and best 3 star hotels I’ve stayed in It’s always extremely comfortable and is a good location and everything is up to date and new

Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the noise at night if you’re on the highway side of the building I’m in my 20s and never have issues sleeping even with noise but even this was a little much for me Other than that I would recommend this hotel everytime

Andrew K

Staff was excellent! I’m sorry I can’t give 5 stars on this alone and separate it from the Hotels location! A crowd of “youths” in and around the lobby as I’m checking in after midnight And on the street in and around the Hotel there was rambunctious activity and even fighting that had local police intervention! Great stuff when you’re trying to sleep And not just for a minute or two, this went on for hours! I expect more from a Hilton! And oh, the water dripping out of the shower, basically made it useless was the kicker! Unacceptable! Otherwise the room was spotless and nice, very clean! Again, staff was wonderful and I felt sorry for them having to deal with the trouble there

The Maldonado’s

Great location and amenities Morton’s is one of my favorites, and they are located in many nice hotels like this one Make sure you visit on the evening

Our tour had breakfast arrangements, missed the eggs on the last two mornings of the trip To their credit, staff was kind, attentive and accommodating Starbucks in the house too (for those Cafe lovers like us) Safe “business” area, and parking is just around the corner Modern feel with plenty to do around the hotel

Eva S

It’s a good business hotel, quiet standard, could be any brand really Pros and cons below:PROS:Large spacious room with nice expansive views onto the main street, gets good light during the day Comfy bed

There’s a desk to work at if need be Nice staff at the hotel, very accommodating and caring Very clean, good observation of covid rules etc Food served during the event was good too, tasty, good temperature- I recommend the current kitchen staff can certainly cater for breakfast tooAreas to IMPROVE:No breakfast, no pool/spa; the air in the hotel was so dry most event delegates were complaining about difficulty to sleep at night, myself included – I strongly recommend to get lots and lots of green plants, maybe install some air humidifiers for the winter months The shower head was full of limescale – need to check those details and replace Maybe add a picture(s) in the room, some softer interior details – interior now looks so sterile, plain

Mitch Grussing

We visited DC for leisure, and we felt that this hotel was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and value Driving in from out of town, it was easy to get to this hotel by car, and the Metro stop made it easy to get to all the big sights around the capital Our rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable

Yes, you have to pay for breakfast here, but there are tons of options nearby, including several in the lobby I was perfectly happy with Starbucks and Dunkin; my husband and his parents sought fancier eats in the morning The only bummer was that there’s no pool and hot tub But still I’d give the place a full five stars because we were truly satisfied with this hotel

We stayed at TownePlace Suites for more than 15 weeks I would like to say that this was thus far the best hotel stay experience we have had The hotel is clean, has great amenities, and has free continental breakfast

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

Danielle Pierre

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Taylor Namm

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

I had my room canceled at another hotel and had to drive to this hotel When I arrived for an early check in, the front desk clerk (Mr Addy I believe) did an exceptional job easing my check in process

He made sure (on his own) that I had an available room and my wife and daughter was able to get some needed rest Great hotel to stay in and when I am back in town again, I know where I will be stayingBest

Raimy beau

For a Sheraton it is not very clean The towels were not very clean But for the price it’s not bad

I paid for breakfast for four days and I only went one day I ordered two egg tortillas and they were fried in butter, but they seemed like they were drowned in that oil I really liked the location, it looks very quiet and is next to some very nice apartments

rennae francis

First things first, they need to remove the pool as an amenity on their booking sites When we arrived, we inquired about the pool and the host stated it was closed due to covid How could that be when the gym was open 24/7? Gym is really small but has enough quipment do get a decent workour

We stayed in a room on the 5th floor Decent size Lacks modern upgrades such as usb charging or just plain outlets at the nightstands Other than that, everything was fine The food laid out in the morning near the elevators were great They have onsite laundry services and also free parking I’d stay there again

Nice hotel Parking was free on weekends so if you are leaving on a weekend there’s no need to payEntry is a bit weird off the street but the security of this hotel is 5 stars

You need your keycard to get around Staff was nice as well Room was clean Like most hotels the bathroom could use some more attention but overall was very satisfied

Yanick Rochon

Rooms are okay The curtains still let light pass in the morning The extra bed had no blanket included so we had to order some (without charge but we specifically asked at check in but had to repeat request a second time)

Nothing else is included There is no swimming pool, no gym, no breakfast included, and a paid parking It’s disappointing for the price

NYCFLY

Convenient transportation, convenient shopping, quick check-in, considerate handmade chocolate cookies at the front desk, business center, easy access to computers, clean and tidy rooms But there is no matching pool and exercise equipment, the room does not have a microwave, parking is not ideal, there is paid parking and paid breakfastSo Check-in is recommended if parking and breakfast are not required

This place is an unbelievably good deal The rooms are HUGE (be sure to ask for a tower room) It’s a bit of a drive from DC, but we plan on staying here any time we come back

This hotel offers an experience you typically don’t get unless you’re spending an additional $100-200 per night Be sure to walk to the town square in Rockville where you’ll find families with kids playing in the water park when the weather is warm Great hotel for families

Anonymous

The staff is very unfriendly we said hello and attempted to be friendly after making 8 hour trip with a baby But, They did not say hello or welcomed to the hotel

“keys, wifi, elevator to the left” is all they said we asked for a change to do laundry, and the staff refused There was no coffee in the morning, and 2 staff were talking to each other while guests were waiting for coffee Location and building are fine, but service is terrible

Mike Larrick

OK but quite expensive for the quality Rooms are clean and large, but not a lot to write home about No bath, only basic cable

They will charge you $20 for parking, which seems scammy They tell you they’ll validate parking but don’t mention they’ll charge you for it For a hotel on the outskirts of beltway suburbia, you’d think they would include that with the room I didn’t take a boat in Also they will send you spam emails and texts to sign up for their club

I stayed here for just one night on a business trip and had a lovely experience Beautiful room and location In the heart of the city close to many food options

Staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming I cannot comment on pricing as my room was paid for but it was an excellent stay Loved my room and felt so relaxed! Would love to come back! Special thank you to Femi, a receptionist who was very accommodating at check in and check out

Takia Brown

The hotel lobby was clean, the staff were nice, and the location was good Not super impressed for the price No amenities really

I had to request a fridge in my room so to accommodate that they put me in a handicap room I’m six feet tall and everything was super low so it wasn’t ideal The heated floors in the bathroom didn’t work The valet took a little too long so I tried not to use my car The gym and the rooms are pretty small I don’t think this is a desirable hotel but it’s nice

summer hiltpold`

Hotel was great and staff was friendly John was quick to greet us for the valet We left for dinner and came back to a tidy room

We stopped into the bar (the Doyle) stayed for one drink, service was very slow but they were busy and we were content and atmosphere was nice Drink was excellent Hotel claimed to have 24hr room service We called a little before midnight for a bottle of Prosecco (listed on their room service menu) only to be told they don’t do that and to call the Doyle (their bar that was closing in 2 minutes, didn’t get through) Overall fine experience but disappointed in advertised room service When paying for amenities, I like to get what I paid for

This was very pleasant place to stay The breakfast spread was extremely impressive The staff was very nice and my favorite part was that the rooms were definitely clean

The bad thing is vending machines take quarters only along with laundry Reception desk has quarters Elevator smelled like smoke but truthfully none of those mattered to me because our room was SPOTLESS Sheets were clean and comforter were comfy Pillows too

Ben Maddox

Platinum Tier customer service encompassing a very enjoyable experience The employees here are friendly, courteous, and professional! Breakfast is phenomenal! Beautiful park on site is wonderfully filled with fresh air, green grass, and a lovely pavilion for an outdoor meditation spot! I also highly recommend walking over to Minerva for some of the best comfort food I’ve had in years, take your card from the front desk and you will have 10% off your meal! I am very pleased with my visit and am looking forward very much to my return stay shortly!

Terry Guers

Stayed one Saturday night The price was $70 less expensive than a similar type national brand hotel nearby The room was fine and the AC was adjustable and responsive which was important since the outside temp was 92

The morning breakfast provided a nice selection and the breakfast room was good sized Free parking Only negative was an additional, small charge not listed in the reservation because the room had a safe To enter the highway when leaving the hotel, you must turn right There is a gas station conveniently located right beside the hotel

We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in The room was lovely

Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff 10/10 would recommend!!

Marshall Daly

Superb location, and very cool building Rooms are good — certainly better & more unique than a chain hotel, but nothing fancyService, however, was very disappointing for this price point

Called room service for an extra set of utensils never delivered Front desk called with a non-urgent questions at ~11pm on Friday night, then accidentally called my room at ~6am the following Saturday morning ouch Finally, tried to check out the hotel’s rooftop bar and later, the “included” rental bikes only to find out that roof was not open to guests and the bikes were not availableAll told, great location and cool architecture, but for this price the service & amenities left a lot to be desired Hopefully they can improve, it’s great having a hotel option in such an excellent location!

Mollie Young

Everything about our experience was incredible The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must The service is excellent and the food is fantastic

Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morningEverything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!

We stayed here for two weeks while our home was being remodeled The location was perfect for us We booked two rooms as my husband and I both work remotely and had our double monitors set up in each room

The desk/chair was comfortable for working 10+ hrs/day The internet was fast and reliableThere is no kitchen but there are plenty of eating options just steps from the hotel There is a microwave and a small fridge The free coffee in the lobby was pretty good too!Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool as a treat and we made use of the fitness centerThe breakfast is cooked to order and served I would have rather full self service because it took a long time in the mornings, but it was good The food was fresh, especially the fruitsEveryone was friendly and the accommodations were comfortable overall It is not easy to live/work out of a hotel with small kids, we made the best of it and this turned out to be a great option

Shujie Dong

The hotel looks great from outside, bedroom clean and big Unfortunately, The bathroom smell of Urine When speaking to the staff who insisted that all rooms cleaned very well and she didn’t smell it and she stated she had a good nose

The front desk staff is professional but I cannot feel her warmthOther than that the hotel cafe’ staff is very friendly, look forward to switching to a different room this afternoon

VagabondMike

This hotel looks clean and modern, but that’s where the comfort ends Every expense was spared in the comfort of this hotelI’m sure they could have found a firmer substance for the bed

Maybe concrete, but even that may have been an improvement, at least springs wouldn’t have been stabbing at me all nightThe pillows are feather, but broken down horribly I would like to think it’s from washing them so often, but they weigh a ton for a feather pillow, which means they’re probably full of dust mites from years of useIt was clean, but I probably would have gotten a better nights sleep in the truck Spend your money somewhere else

We played cool games organized by the staff on saturday night which made it easier to meet new peopleThat said, it’s quite far from the national mall but there are plenty of buses close to the hostel so it is actually fine There are also plenty of bars and restaurants near it, since it’s in Adams Morgan neighborhoodI really enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely recommend it

Absolutely beautiful place All the staff were very friendly and hospitable We were treated very well

I love that your car is locked secure in the garage every night Check out time is NOT at the crack of dawnthe only disappointment was the beautiful pool was closedThe bathroom tile was beautiful and clean Beds were comfy and very cleanLocation, I gave 4 stars only because it was a little bit of a walk to get to the museums But also, it was a nicer quiet area, right across the street from the beautiful Martin Luther Church

I am staying here currently with my family I can’t say enough about the warm, friendly front desk staff They treat customers with respect and kindness, and went above and beyond to get us a room suitable for our party

The pool and all the facilities are clean, well cared for and comfortable This hotel is a little bit dated in some parts, but the warm and welcoming vibe makes it worth it Excellent value and I just want to say thanks to the amazing staff who work here

Everything was excellent: the location, the service and the cleanliness I want to thank the front desk staff Treasure, Maya, Joy, Tenisha and Evelyn They were all very pleasant and helpful

I was also very pleased with the thoroughness of the housekeeping staff They did a great job cleaning my room meticulously every day The hotel is very nice, regardless of whether it is updated or some rooms are small, which were comments I read from other reviews The rooms are equipped with a small fridge and a coffee maker, and the coffee provided (from Nicaragua) was delicious I also liked the pizza at the patio restaurant by the pool I ordered half vegetarian and half sausage/pepperoni It is lovely to sit there on a nice day Many of the guests are out in the pool area at all times of day I highly recommend this hotel

Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood, The Oaks Bed and Breakfast doesn’t loom large over the other homes around it When you see it, you’d think it was just one of the many single homes in the area The overall lay out of The Oaks was perfect

Everything was very clean The beds were comfy, and you were about a block or two from just about everything Everyone was very friendly and nice

I enjoyed watching the fireworks from the balcony I felt very secure in the building, and safe I was a little confused at first with how to enter the code to the main door I figured it out, but maybe a small informational guide would be nice I loved my stay here, and I would totally come back here the next time that I am in DC There was a little garden in the alley way behind the hostel that was quite pretty to view as well

Let me start by saying I’ve stayed here in the past in my travels and loved it I’m also not aware if owner knows how his guests gets lied to by staff They canceled my reservations and charged my card ( they still have gave my money back

) All because they thought I was homeless I was embarrassed I live in Jersey and have a home there I love the artistic vibe here in DC and loving community I even joined a local non profit group there temperance alley because the community is wonderful For when I visit Just cause a man travels and has mental disorders like myself And chooses to explore all lives beauty Does not make him homeless They hurt my feeling so bad And it’s a shame cause I’m sure they didn’t realize just cause I’m different does not give them the right to discriminate The hostel is gorgeous but mistakes happen Besides calling me homeless and hurting my feeling so bad I cried The place is awesome I’m still waiting for owner to call me And my refund but the money isn’t the issue it’s my feelings that are the issue So if your different in any way or beat to your own drum or if your happy being you Do t go here they are not kind My name is Lance Russo I’m not happy about the discrimination and absurd comments made by staff The owner still has not called

Clarissa G

Stayed one night with a friend in the private two-bed room Check in was easy, room had everything we needed I do wish the bathroom was a little better enclosed (it had a glass wall all around but the glass was only frosted beginning partially up)

But the fact that they managed to fit so many amenities into the space so efficiently was very impressive Room was very clean Definitely would recommend to travelers on a budget Would visit again

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any stay This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for a long time If you stay for a few days you definitely won’t be let downLocation was perfect! The staff was amazing! There is an art gallery in the basement! The rooms were nicely appointed I enjoyed being able to walk around the area and seeing all of the different embassies I will definitely stay here when I visit the DC area They charge a nominal destination fee and I loved all of the amenities you are given to offset that The bar service and offerings were great!

Elaina Genthe

I stayed for three nights during the Cherry Blossom Festival Staff was great The man at the front desk with the beard was especially kind and Jorge the bartender

At the restaurant/bar, I had a beautiful, delicious espresso martini, a salad and the Mac and cheese It was all delicious! My only complaint is about the rooftop I wasn’t made aware that it was open or closed, but a previous reviewer had pictures of it so I tried to go up one day but the door was locked I wish staff would have mentioned the details upon checkin

Ido Simyoni
