Hotel is clean but could use some sprucing up Our room with 2 very comfortable queen beds was large and easy to move around in but the toilet/tub room was very tight The lights by the beds had individual reading lights but they were only on when the big light was on

It was quiet when we were there and we had no problems sleeping The location is very convenient to downtown Stamford and uptown It’s easy to get in and out of and easy to park The staff is pleasant and very helpful It would have been nice if the pool and fitness room had been open

Hannah Kelly

Room was clean and comfortable Standard room included a fridge and microwave Shower pressure was great! Can’t comment on the breakfast because I slept through it- they close at 9:30 on weekdays

Great location through, walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and a grocery store Only criticism of the hotel is that the doors really SLAM shut when you enter or exit your room- maybe not the best place for a light sleeper

Ravisha Ranga

As much as I trust the brand name, this specific branch of the hotel made me highly unhappy with their services The staff didn’t bother to come and attend our cleaning call for a minimum of 1 hour and adding onto that was my unattended request for toiletries The customer services can definitely get better than what they are at the moment!

This hotel is in my favorite top 3! It truly deserves 5+ stars! The staff offers top-notch customer service, and the rooms are always very clean The pool is an awesome amenity, as it’s always a comfy warm like temp, and it’s open until 11PM It’s located at a perfect location, making it easy to venture out to go shopping, dine at a wide selection of restaurants, and hit the nightlife if you so please! Hands down, The Sonesta White Plains is absolutely the place to stay when in the downtown White Plains area! Clearly, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel **P

S The beds are SO comfortable!!!

Ajalin Wiackley

Sonesta was the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception They also hosted our room block as well I worked primarily with James for wedding coordination and Bangu for the room block coordination

My husband and I along with many family members and friends stayed at the hotel as well I cannot say enough about this venue and how incredibly happy we were with their service From start to finish, they were extremely helpful, flexible and easy to work with The food was phenomenal, and our guests were extremely pleased with everything provided! The staff was extremely accommodating to all of our guests as well Highly recommend!

Connor Peterson

My wife and I used the Sonesta in White Plains as our hotel both for ourselves and our guests, we also hosted after drinks at the hotel bar and a brunch at the hotel breakfast (we did not have the actual wedding at Sonesta) The staff at the hotel were extremely communicative (special thanks to Amy for handling so many questions with so much grace) The largest suite was the perfect size for the bride and her group to get ready, the smaller suites were a little bit awkwardly laid out and small

The hotel handle the vendors coming in and out of the hotel with ease The bar was the perfect place to host an after drinks celebration and they even stay open and extra hour for us

Nice facility Getting to it from the road is a little difficult as there is a median in front of the entrance (can only access the entrance when driving north) Rooms are comfortable, but the suite only has a thermostat in the bedroom, so the sitting area can get cold or hot, depending on the season

The Bistro has a very limited selection

Amber Kusmenko

THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A POOL If you book quickly like I did based off the Google maps images that pop up for the listing, plus the first review they show (which mentions the pool), you will be both disappointed and embarrassed to find the pool was taken out Either Google or the hotel (not sure of the process here?) should update the listing

The Good: The room and hotel were very clean and well maintained Staff were friendly and helpful The bed and bedding were comfortable

The room had just the perfect amount of space, although the tub/shower was cramped (anyone over 5’7″ would have to bend down to get their hair wet) The location of the hotel is good being close to the freeways, and centrally located The Cooper’s Mill restaurant and Ruth’s Chris offer a fair amount of dining options without having to leave the hotel There were blackout curtains on the windows, which was great, but there was still the issue ofThe Bad: There was a good amount of light being cast in the room from the cable box on the back of the TV and the light from under the door Thankfully the location of the bed “hid” a lot of the under-the-door light, but nothing prevented the entire wall from being lit up from the green light from the cable box A recent study found that any amount of light in a room is enough to prevent a deep sleep, and I have always found this to be true In this case, it resulted in me never getting a solid night’s sleep and being generally grogging for the four days I was there And this was further exacerbated byThe Ugly: The walls are insanely thin Two of my nights ended up being late nights due to neighbors talking on their phones At first I thought they were just overly loud, but I don’t think this was true, just the lack of soundproofing in the walls Thankfully they retired by 10:30, but this was far later than I wanted to go to sleep (had to wake up at 4am the second time)

Mel Hess

5 night stay Screwed up reservation (wrong dates) Pool closed-appears to be a months-long issue with little effort toward resolution

Needed hotel maintenance to get in room (dead battery on door lock), next two days had to be rekeyed due to hotel requiring appearance at the desk to run credit card Hotel posts the weather at two entrances-forecast was six months old-tells you right away what the attention to detail is Titanium Elite member-never recognized by the staff Fitness area was once top of class; unfortunately at least four of the weight machines are in need of significant maintenance Aerobics equipment is state of the art Good location, the base restaurant is good (but expensive); not sure if the Ruth Chris restaurant is even open Housekeeping did a good job and worked around our schedule, and everything in the room worked Acceptable hotel for business trip but not up to the Marriott standard

Pete P

This is standard Marriott I’m very happy that the services are coming back after Covid! They actually have two redtaurant/bars! A Ruth’s Chris open seven days for dinner, and Copper’s Mill open 6 days a week for breakfast and dinner Quick and courteous staff

The rooms will need a refresh soon I prefer showers over bath tubs that I never use and are not very safe!

My stay was great The staff were so kind and helpful The lobby was always so clean and the breakfast was clean and well taken care of every day

Honestly the best residence inn we have been tooPet Owners note We did bring our two dogs and luckily I contacted the hotel before hand On the app and website it says $100 per stat for 2 dogs, but when I asked they said it was $250 They did at first said it was a mistake and should be $150 but they brought it down to $100 They were very nice and understanding, but if they need a change I would suggest Marriott update their sites so the employees don’t have to go through this or customers won’t be blind sided if they waited to speak to front desk day of check in like the website says

Monique Little

It was a nice place to stay for a weekend The staff are very welcoming and attentive to your needs and requests The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because I had to call the front about the constant hard walking/stomping across the floor above us

Other than that it was a peaceful stay and that’s one of the reasons for our stay

Kimmy Kat Meindl

First of all, I rent a room from this hotel almost every single weekend This time, I go, and there’s mold in the corners of the tub, the bedroom, and flies in the toilet I requested that somebody clean the room, and was told that there was nobody on shift to even clean the room! Nobody! I asked to speak to a manager, and all I get is an argument about how no one can help and that they’re fully booked

No other rooms were available, no accommodations for the filth, and nobody to help What kind of business is this? No customer service, no discount, no one in charge, and no compassionOutrageously unhelpful, undesirable, and, above all, unacceptableNever again

Got married at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel in September of 2021 and it was an absolute blast The venue was fantastic Julie is the best

She was incredibly personable and was there to help at every turn Planning a wedding during COVID was at times tricky But thanks to Julie and her team, I feel confident throughout the whole process The venue is close to downtown, so guests can experience a wide variety of restaurants, bars, etc Then during the actual wedding, they walk straight to their room, which was great because it really got most of the guests involved in the after party The food was outrageously good I’m sure I was expecting it be at that high a level But, it was a major surprise Guests at the wedding still mention the Short Rib, months later If there was anything I had to be critical about, I’d say the rooms could use a bit of an update A few family members had a bit of trouble with their AC units But, overall it still easily warrants 5 stars

Teva Ingrassia

I only stayed one night and booked through a third party app at a very low rate It seems like those rooms might be reserved for an older part of the hotel but I’m not sure because I have nothing to compare it to The bed was comfortable, the TV was a good size, the room came with a refrigerator and coffee machine (no cups though)

The furniture in the room and the rug we’re very dated and not in the best condition I didn’t have a do not disturb sign, a box of tissues, or any cups for the coffee machine Otherwise the stay was fine for one night, and for what I paid The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly

Gail

Did NOT Stay in this Hotel Would not stay in this Hotel It has gone downhill from the busier days of the Hilton Brand

We came for the Restaurant just for a quick bite and Drink It was Closed on a Sunday @ 1pm Not sure why It was even to warm to sit in the Lounge Area so we left Rte 287 is just across so we hopped on to a better place

Honestly can we give this location the 5 stars it deserves Me and my husband spend a whole week here to see how we liked the environment, if this would maybe become something more then just a weekly stay here and there It was amazing, the staff when you walk in, the management, to the cleaning ladies

You all are running a five star hotel We went to Royal Regency last night to check it out and had the worse experience that we booked this hotel immediately for the next day because it was just not the same environment at all I will highly recommend this to all my friends and family, also to business partners for their stays Keep up the amazing work! The hospitality in this hotel is the upmost amazing! If you see this hotel BOOK IT don’t wait! I promise you it’ll be the best experience Laundry, don’t worry about that, they have machines downstairs for only $250!!! You cannot beat that anywhere This is a home away from home

Langston Martin

The best part of my Experience was the young lady working the front desk with the Red glasses She made me feel the most welcomed both nights I stayed there The room was great(the main was okay

The standing shower needs tending to Fingerprints and black spots in the corking around the shower room#318 Other then that Would Highly recommend this hotel to travelers

Jason Green

While this hotel is fairly clean, the lack of services and amenities is disappointing Upon arrival of a 4 night stay, I was informed that the pool was out of order While this doesn’t bother me, others may have wanted this option

The next morning, went downstairs to get breakfast and was informed that there was no staff or supplies to make the breakfast that you come to expect from staying at a Courtyard Since there was no breakfast, might as well grab a signature Starbucks coffee nope All they offered was black or decaf After the day was done, returned to my room only to discover that housekeeping had came Not an issue except that I had placed the do not disturb door hanger out I stay at Courtyards expecting a certain degree of service and this one was lacking I’m sure that everyone will be quick to jump on the shortages of people and supplies, however around the corner the Starbucks was fully stocked This may be a management issue

Very comfortable room The front desk checkin staff are very pleasant, professional and helpfulThe morning breakfast is exceptional with a variety of items to choose from

However, I would like extend a kudos to Ms Eileen working the breakfast dining facility She is amazing at what she does She does her due diligence to ensure everything is clean and well stocked She is very pleasant and helpful to customers when they ask her for assistance

Simply Leanna

I held my wedding here and I can say that I have no complaints The master and junior suites were spacious and comfortable The halls for my wedding ceremony and reception were beautiful and the lounge was perfect for my cocktail hour

The staff were very attentive during my wedding and worked well with my wedding planner and the various vendors Also, the hotel it self is beautiful and served as a great back drop for my professional wedding photos! It was the perfectly executed wedding!

Justin Clark

clean and updated, not bad for a one night stay wouldn’t stay longer than that walls are paper thin, I was woken up at 3:30 in the morning by the people in the room next-door talking loudly, not yelling

i had the “privacy please” hanger on my door and the cleaning staff ignored it and came in anyway breakfast had no hot food, bagels and muffins are your options

Beautiful hotel with cheerful and helpful staff They sold out of the smaller room we wanted, so we sprung for the Harbor View Suite – wow! It was a luxurious and relaxing experience, even for the 5 year old The big standout was the staff, they all seemed eager to solve problems and help us enjoy our staff

Alexander was a huge help right off the bat, assisting us with a tricky reservation issue Like every business in the service industry they are likely understaffed (as of Mar ’22), but they don’t seem stressed and all have a great attitude Highly recommend

Jack Sprat

We have been coming to The Delamar for years and the service is fabulous They have champagne upon arrival, the front desk is exceptional and the gorgeous lobby has a coffee barLocated on the water, it is worth the upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor

A fabulous spot to enjoy your morning coffeeI am giving The Delamar 5 stars because I know its potential and the way things were prior to Covid, but the hotel is showing some wear, especially in the bathrooms The coffee station on the 4th floor is no longer operational, and the we only had a verbal confirmation as there was a glitch with the computer system All first world problemsWe have booked our trip back to The Delamar this November and look forward to a comfortable stay

karen ditomo

We have stayed here twice so far, taking a break before returning to PA This hotel is beautiful and the cleanest hotel I have stayed in throughout the New England states It is pet-friendly with a park next door

I feel so relaxed when I arrive and the onsite dining is delicious After dinner, I like relaxing in the lobby , grabbing a cocoa or coffee

It was our daughters wedding We reserved blocks but some immediate family were saddened when there weren’t enough rooms even though they tried to reserve a room prior to the cutoff date We reminded them we needed to be at the wedding venue by 4 and they assured us the would have rooms available by 3

Fast forward to 5:30 pm and our suite still wasn’t available We had an after party there which was amazing and I must admit when we finally entered the room at 11:30 pm it was lovely If you have a wedding block Susan is the only person you should deal with She is amazing, and tries to please I think there is a shortage of staff because the hotels took a hit during Co-vid

Laura Gregory

I stay here every few months for stay-vacations Nice hotel, nice staff, but it needs to be updated Furniture looking old, couches\sofa beds sunken in, many rooms have no throw pilllows, problems with wifi, tv, stoves & freezer ice makers not working

No welcome gifts in room anymore, no chocolate in water bags, and community shampoo & conditioner in showers–not very sanitary idea during a pandemic They also kept falling down from shower wall before we even took showers! And also please, for goodness sakes, get dining chairs in each room with padded bottoms already–the constant screeching noise of everybodys chairs on the floor is so annoying!!! And please update breakfast to have FRESH fruit each day, not leftovers from past 2 days, as well as return of pancakes & french toast & different variety of sandwiches & muffins each day Its always the same stuff lately (Not fault of breakfast makers Imsure)Technically its not free considering this is one of the more expensive Marriots in NY For what this hotel costs for a stay the quality should not be going down A new onsite restaurant would be nice tooThank you

Greg Goomrigian

Rooms cleaned and allowed for proper protocols Staff was confused abit on room requirements as we had asked for specifics weeks prior only to find that they were unable to meet our needs We had to spend time at the counter re explaining our request

Although they offer handicap rooms, the bed was to high for a person to get into Our family member ended up sleeping on the sofa in her room as it was more accessibleBreakfast was great with a variety of foods available for both adults and childrenParking seemed abit limited but with some searching, we found a space in the garage adjacent to the hotelLobby spacious and was perfect to accommodate our group during the late eveningStaff attentive and friendlyWould definitely return

Stayed one night for an event The room was spacious and clean Was pleasantly surprised to find an air filtration system in the room which worked well for my allergies

The bed was extremely comfortable The event I attended ran flawlessly The staff was friendly and efficient Convenient and pleasant alternative to chain hotels at a very reasonable price

jay devi

Upon checking in the front desk staff were amazing, vibrant, full of energy and helpful We ordered some food from the bar before going to our room thinking it wouldn’t be too long, maybe 20 to 30 minutes Ended up waiting 45 minutes for a pizza and tacos

Eventually got to the room and the TV didn’t have any sound Ended up fixing it myself after calling guest services and being on hold for a whileWhen opening up the bed, the sheets were filthy and the bed and pillows were full of hair Clearly wasn’t changed after the last guests had been there The front desk attendant (not the ones from check in) tried looking for a new room but apparently couldn’t find anything available I was told they would change the sheets and I requested that the entire bed be redone I was then offered a breakfast voucher but that too was unavailable Ended up not wasting time going down for breakfast

Denise Randolph

So from check in to check out outstanding service We had a Class Reunion that was hosted by the hotel The food drinks special added touches were fabulous

Please don’t hesitate to book an event or just a stay at this hotel It was so nice to see staff go out of their way and be friendly and accommodating We will definitely be back

Nice rooms but they are not cleaned during your stay You must request fresh towels The bar food is absolutely horrible the pizza taste like frozen microwave pizza ,the cheeseburger is hard and dry

The breakfast sausage, eggs bagels and oatmeal where good but the French toast was hard and dry The Hyatt at one time stood for luxury and 5 star Hotels Not sure what happened to this place

Tracy Lawford

Overall a good stay The room is like a mini 1 bed apartment with full size fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee making, stove, etc The rooms are spacious with one of the most comfortable beds and pillows

Rooms are newly renovated and my only complaint was the urine on the toilet seat and around the floor which the cleaner must have missed I love that you can open a window for fresh airFacilities include a gym, decent enough to get a sweat on, coin operated laundry with soap for sale, business centre, bar, free breakfast with a basic but decent spread, free coffee and I did see an outdoor pool area but wasn’t there long enough to test the waters The location is super quiet and I felt safe staying hereStaff were friendly on check in and check out I would stay here again

Anna & Nader

Hyatt house was our main hotel for our wedding block and we were so happy we picked them!! Block rates were very reasonable and Christine was so easy to work with We loved the amenities (pool, fire pit, basketball court) and having the extra space with the living room in each room made it so much easier to socialize and prep for the wedding in the days leading up Hotel breakfast was also great and served as a nice gathering point to see our guests

45 minute trip each way So after switching vehicles I came back to check in This set the tone for the stayWhen I arrived back to check in I found that they downgraded my corner king to a smaller double queen room Another disappointment immediately following the firstI get to the room andBroken bath tub, no remote for the TV, and someone from the hotel just walked into my room No knock at the door, just walked in At this point I was just annoyed with being there and had wished I’d booked elsewhereI scheduled a 5am pick up for my vehicle from valet They didn’t pass the message along and had to call and get the car brought around pushing me behind scheduleThe only saving grace was the direct interactions with with the staff Very kind, very white glove treatment in personFor the price, I’d go somewhere else If this were a Courtyard or a Fairfield I’d have given it 4 stars still (5 without the walk in) but when you present and bill as a premium then these things shouldn’t happenThat said, the room was very nice in layout and decoration, and again, the customer facing staff were exceptional in person Great location with plenty to do right around the corner

As an ambassador member, I stayed here several times in the past Always good services and enjoyed a nice quiet room to rest But not this time, no one told me there is major drilling construction inside the building just upstairs from my room

Vibrations of the wall and so much noises starting 9am and continued non- stop This totally ruined my stay here Hotel Management should have given a notice of this construction to their customers So if I know I have this much noise banging with vibrations in my room beforehand, I would never book this stay reservation Total disappointment

The hotel is gorgeous, and the rooms are spaciousThe valet parking service (operated by a 3rd party) is what I have issue with One of the valets released my vehicle to my guest (who’s name was not on my reservation, nor did he have the claim ticket)

He could have been a stranger off the street! This was very wreckless, and resulted in a few dings and scrapes on the vehicle caused by my guest (who is arguably the world’s worst driver) Granted, my guest did not have my permission to take the vehicle, and did so sneakily, he should have never been granted access to it without the claim ticket and or ID to verify that was his vehicle I called the property who forwarded my concern to the valet service and I was promised a call back, but that was never received I was charged $35 for this (dis)-serviceThankfully the vehicle was a rental If I were driving a personal vehicle which I cared for, I would not be comfortable coming back to this property and leaving it with a valet company which apparently could hand your keys out to anyone!

Spooky Historic and romantic Just what we wanted for our first anniversary

The staff was very friendly The outdoor pool/jacuzzi/bar was so relaxing and pretty We walked the halls and grounds late at night and got the feel of the place Room was clean and spacious Expensive stay but well worth the experience for a night or a few

The rooms are super clean The staff is very nice The building is really cool

The staff will show you around if you ask It would be cool if they had a self guided tour The grounds are awesome The pool (and hotub) is only open till 6? (my only complaint) This is a cool place for a quiet night Tarrytown is a pretty quiet place, not a whole lot to do besides tour some other mansions The hotel restaurant is a work in progress, they are still recovering from COVID rules designed to put them out of business You can dine”privately” but that’s kinda dumb

My husband had surgery at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital which is within walking distance of the hotel We both are so happy that we stayed at the Edge Hotel While my husband was in the hospital and also while we stayed at the Hotel during his recovery, the staff at the Edge Hotel were wonderful! They are all caring and meet your needs as best as they can

They are so helpful, I can’t say enough about them The room we were in was comfortable and clean If you have a loved one that needs to be in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and you need a place to stay, stay at the Edge Hotel We were so grateful that we found this hotel Staying here helped a very over whelming situation easier to go through I am not a fast walker, and it took me less than 10 minutes to get to the hospital There are many places in the area to get food, either within walking distance or by delivery There is also a couple of pharmacy’s near by The front desk staff, the cleaning staff and maintenance were all wonderful to us The price is reasonable too! They also give you a $5 breakfast voucher for a near by Bagel shop We highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay at the Edge hotel again

I stayed here while in town for my sister’s college graduation Dealing with delayed/cancelled flights and having to check in a day late and after normal check in time, Luis and his staff remained professional and kind I stayed there alone and felt safe

The room had a great view and was clean and adorable Everytime I stepped into the lobby I was met with a smile and a greeting from every single employee I encountered Will definitely be staying here again!

Hotel is nice Breakfast is good Hotel staff are really friendly and nice

The only issue is the rugs There are stains everywhere In the halls and in the rooms(I stayed there twice) The stains make it feel like it’s not clean(though it is) I just don’t understand why they can’t clean the rugs better or replace them It really makes you feel gross especially in the rooms, I don’t want to walk on stains

I don’t check out for another two days but I feel pressed to leave feedback so others are aware of what to expect when booking this locationI’ll start with the pros:-very friendly staff-excellent locationThe cons:- The hotel has a dingy feel to it From the dirty carpet odors to the stains on the upholstery both in the lobby and our room, I personally did not feel comfortable sitting anywhere (other than our bed) for too long

It doesn’t matter how clean a room is; seeing stains on a hotel room couch is a red flag- The bathrooms (one family and two regular restrooms) on the lobby floor need to be better maintained On two occasions my daughters and I found that every single bathroom was dirty, complete with leftover feces staining the toilet bowls and toilet paper all over the floors- I’m highly disappointed in the fact that the indoor pool is not available while we’re here My husband is in the area for a work trip and asked the kids and I to tag along I went out of my way to find a well-rated hotel with a pool so I could easily keep the little ones occupied Needless to say that plan fell through I get that some things are just out of one’s control but since the hotel has a website, the right thing to do would have been to post that on their site Had I seen it mentioned online, we would’ve booked elsewhere But to list an indoor pool as one of the available amenities only for that to be untrue is deceitful at bestHopefully management addresses these matters soon Until then, we will be looking elsewhere

This really is a great example of the Hyatt Place brand These are no frill hotels, but this location is relatively new, in a great location surrounded by an outdoor mall with restaurants, and staffed by really friendly folks The room received was a large king room with a pull out sofa

Everything Was really clean and the temperature control worked just fine On checking out of the hotel, I left my AirPods in my room and the assistant general manager was able to personally walk me back to the room so that I could recover them Big thanks to everyone working there for a great stay
